Deborah Jeane Palfrey hang herself yesterday. She ran an escort agency in Washington D.C. (with VIP clients) and was facing a long prison sentence for racketeering and money laundering. Her conviction was on April 15. She never ment to enter jail (again) and we can see the will to be free in her chart.

Palfrey was born on March 18, 1956 in the Pennsylvanian village of Charleroi. That day the Sun was in Pisces, making a Yod with Neptune and Pluto (the inconveniences of money and secrets), and the Sun was trine Uranus (to want to be independant and free).

The Yod is also connected to the oriental Mars (quintile Neptune and sesquisquare Pluto). Mars is the oriental planet, connected to Pluto AND Saturn (40 degree minor aspect) for the combination of unnatural death or very hard battles and struggles. One thing leads to another...

BREAKING FREE
Yesterday transit Pluto was semisquare her progressed Mars and opposition progressed Venus. On the day of her conviction we see Mars sesquisquare Saturn and Saturn square Saturn. It seems she had already warned that she would rather kill herself then go to jail. Not just the Sun trine Uranus tells us that she wanted to be free. Look at Aries Point and the midpoint yod with Saturn and Uranus (Aries Point opposition Saturn/Uranus)...it is the midpoint of the limitions of freedom (and the resistance against it). Maybe Uranus was crucial in her chart (but we donot know without hour of birth).

Never before an American president has been THIS impopular: 71 percent of the Americans is not happy with the way that George W. Bush does the job! 'Only' 66 percent was not satisfied with Richard Nixon. See the message of CNN. Lucky for them, he is about to make place for his successor. I think Saturn square his MC indicates this decay and Transit Saturn conjunct Ascendant (with Katrina) rushed the way down in the popularity polls. Will this impopularity damage the position of John McCain? I think McCain has the astrological prophile of a possible president and on the 6th of November he might win the elections. But I don't have the proper MC of Clinton and Obama, so maybe they have even better prospects. Though, those of McCain are rather good. Here is the birth chart of George W. Bush:

George W. Bush was born 6 July, 1946, at 7:26 a.m. in New Haven CN, USA. Mercury and Pluto are on a crucial spot in his chart and Saturn is calling. Saturn is conjunct the midpoints Sun/Mercury and Sun/Pluto. This combination of a prominent Mercury, Saturn and Pluto with Moon conjunct Jupiter and sextile Venus is in line with what I found in the charts of other presidents (the midpoint combination of Mercury, Saturn and Pluto with Moon-Venus). It takes a political mind (or should I say, a 'die hard' mentality) and charm or popularity to become an elected president.

BIRTH CHART MC WITH MARS AND SATURN
His Midheaven in Aries has the Sun as end dispositor (leading) and ruler MC Mars is sesquisquare the MC. The square of MC with Saturn lead to administration. So this MC is connected with the prominent planets Mars and Saturn. Maybe that alone shows a prominent place in society ahead.

LOST OF POPULARITY
He was a president and he was elected again, but with a minor majority. But how did he loose most of the popularity that he had (in astrological terms)? I think Saturn square MC might be blamed for that. In my article on Astromarkt about Saturn in the 10th house I wrote:

After Katrina (when he had transit Saturn conjunct Ascendant) he could not manage to uplift his imago.

MARS SATURN RIGHT NOW
Today, with the poll in mind, transit Mars is conjunct George W. Bush's Saturn. With Katrina Saturn came over his Ascendant (being blamed, bad presentation) and since that moment Saturn passed his first house. Now Saturn is moving towards Mars, ruler 10, and Saturn will be conjunct Mars mid of August 2008. Maybe that is another poll:)

These transits activate the existing Mars-Saturn connection to the MC and show the disadvantages and failures (Saturn) of work (Mars) and position(MC).

SUNARCS
At a certain point in life all birth positions are sextile the Sunarc position. That is so on the ... 16th of January 2009 for mr. Bush! It might be just coincidence but I bet it is not.

THE DAYS AFTER
Whatever happens on the 6th of November, George has got to go.
And what about after his presidency? He is 62 years old by then and can do a lot of precious speeches to make an income. He can do so for a long time. Uranus is the oriental planet in his chart. So he might get old.

How about McCain for president? I guess McCain has better chances with his Progressed Midheaven sextile (progressed) Pluto and the Progressed conjunction of Jupiter and Ascendant. Of course, the MC and Ascendant of Hillary Clinton are unknown (20 hours does not seem to be right) and so are the MC and Ascendant of Barack Oboma. And do we really know the MC of McCain, I wonder? People were equally sure about Kerry's and Clinton's...Anyway, here below you see the transits with the progressed chart and above the transits with the birth chart, for 9.00 a.m. BTW: he is got Moon trine Venus and that completes the similarities of his chart with those of the former presidents and with George Bush.

BIRTH CHART OF MIA FARROW Active for Dafur

Have you always wondered about Mars, symbol of war, agression, action and enterprise, conjunct the Midheaven in the birth chart of Mia Farrow? It took some time, but now she is what she 'should' be: an activist! She was on CNN talking about China's ties to Sudan (awful civil war). She has been in Dafur a couple of times (see: www.miafarrow.org), f.ex. in November 2004, with transit Saturn opposition MC.

Mia Farrow also has a calling Sun (not making major aspects) high up in her chart in the 10th house. It is the symbol of the leader, star or performer: someone drawing attention. Notice that the tightest aspect in her chart is Jupiter is trine Mars and Midheaven... and that Jupiter is biquintile Sun: that is a sign for succes and a creative way to 'advance'.

She had another job first. Mercury is on top of her chart (so Mercury in this case is the oriental planet), trine Neptune. Talking or writing in an easy connection to fantasy, vision and pretending. It fits an actrice. So does the opposition of Venus and Neptune. As Venus is quintile the MC, charm, beauty and talents are creatively linked to her carreer. Venus is also connected to the midpoint Sun/Moon (in the 22.5 range) and that means: an artist in heart and soul.

Mia Farrow divorced Woody Allen. For divorce we find hardly any of the basic clues in her chart*), although there is Venus in Aries again...I see this placement as a bad sign for relationships (see other examples on this blog). The Moon in conflict with Venus is a good sign for sense for arts and beauty, but is not the most easy aspect for being a mother and a wife at the same time.

Saturn and Neptune are connected to Sun and Venus (Sun sesquisquare Saturn and Neptune; Venus square Saturn and opposition Neptune). Saturn is square Neptune. BIRTH CHART MARIAH CAREY and her engagement

Mariah Carey (27th March 1970, 11h45 a.m. NY) is a born artist. Venus - for talents - is on top of her chart, in an obsessive quindecile of 165 degrees with Uranus and in mutual reception with the dispositor of the Midheaven (Mars). Venus-Uranus combinations are most of the time present in the charts of singers. The Moon is in the fifth house of performance and show, conjunct Neptune (the planet of arts).

She is also born to have difficult relationships. Sun opposition Uranus, Venus quindecile Uranus...Those are two of the 4 possible indications for divorce in a woman's chart. Also notice Venus in Aries...that is the place Venus does not really like to be!

But still, today, we hear that she is engaged to get married again, to rapper Nick Cannon. We see progressed Moon opposition Jupiter right now and in her solar return for this year Venus and Uranus both sit on the descendant as a statement for new love.

PS dated May 7th: the 'engagement ring' seems to have been a (unexpected, sudden = Uranus) wedding ring instead.

BIRTH CHART ANGELIKA MERKEL

Angelika Merkel was honoured today, in public with progressed Moon conjunct Venus (dispositor of the MC), so I guess she was pleased. In the description of her chart in Dutch I said, that it is not a miracle that she became a prime minister, when you look at her natal chart ( 17th July 1954 at 17h45 in Hamburg).

FINE CARREER
There are so many midpoint combinations that illustrate her ambition and carreer, that I simply point at the list in my article in Dutch. I like to point at combinations for succes made by aspects:
1. Mercury conjunct Jupiter and semi square Pluto
2. Mars in a quindecile (165 d)with Jupiter, trine Pluto

In January 1991 she became a minister (Progressed MC trine Sun, progressed Sun in the final degree of Leo - changing sign - and trine progressed Mars - in the final degree of Sagittarius). When she became a prime minister: transit Pluto inconjunct Uranus and trine Pluto (for a radical change). In October 2007 Merkel showed courage by receiving the Dalai Lama. Her Jupiter is tirne his and conjunct his Sun (if he is born 6th July 1935).

HARD ASPECTS
There are hard relations between Sun, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. These kind of aspects make you wonder about her fysical condition, but there is no sign of any need to worry about that. Nevertheless, I thougth that Sun square Neptune HAD to mean a thing. And so would the conflict with Mars and with Uranus. And I found out what it meant.

Angelika Merkel divorced (Sun in conflict with Mars and Uranus). She had a father who worked as a vicar but had very nice relations with the communist regime (Sun square Neptune). And the press was not very kind in the beginning. In fact, they published very ugly pictures of her. Recently however they were enthousiastic (...) about her low cut dress showing her 'decoletté'. Transit Neptune is inconjunct her Sun and the aspect is getting more and more tight. So I think more unbalanced (inconjunct) attention (Sun) from the press (Neptune) is to be expected.
