USA chart November 2016 and Pholus turning point

On November 8, 2016 there will be presidential elections in the USA. The Democrats almost certainly have Hillary Clinton as a candidate, and the Republicans might have Donald Trump. In earlier posts I've said that the stars favor Hillary, mostly. Now I take a look at the USA chart to see if there will be a turning point in history in 2016.

Fact is, that we don’t really know at what hour Hillary was born, unfortunately. So perhaps the USA-chart tells us something, I wondered. You may know that I like to have a look at Pholus whenever there is change. Barack Obama wanted to bring some change. In November 2008, when Barack Obama became the first colored president of the USA*), transit Pholus was on the Sagittarius Ascendant of the USA-chart to tell us that there was a crucial turning point in history. Here is the USA chart with transits and progressions for November 2008:

In 2016, transit Pholus will be square the USA Midheaven and inconjunct the USA progressed Midheaven for another crucial turning point. Hillary Clinton would be the first woman ever to be the USA president. That is indeed a turning point.

 If she was born 8:06 her progressed Ascendant would be conjunct Pholus.

So if there is to be a 'turning point in history' in November 2016, Hillary Clinton seems to be the one to make it.

Re Obama 2008: Transit Jupiter was exactly square his progressed Ascendant and quindecile his Mercury; his progressed Sun was sesquisquare Pholus then.

The USA Ascendant, Ceres, Uranus and the nervous melting pot

The USA chart with Sagittarius rising in the 9th degree has Uranus opposition Ascendant and both square Ceres and in aspect with Eris and Nessus. In this post I wonder if the Ascendant degree explains the exciting and often nervous and angry melting pot and the importance of roots for the nation.

Dwarf planet Ceres is the symbol of motherhood, seeds, genes and roots. Uranus is the symbol of upheaval, independence, alienation and change (and more...).

The history of the USA is a history of immigrants. It all started when immigrants drove the original inhabitants from their lands. We all know what happened next and what is going on today. The USA chart could be read (with the Ceres-Uranus conflict in mind) as 'racial instability' and 'alien roots'. As Eris symbolizes discord and Nessus revenge, with the 9th degree of Sagittarius there were conflicts on the the USA's horizon from the start.

The Ascendant-Descendant line of the USA Sagittarius rising chart with Uranus-Ceres (and Eris-Nessus) seems to tell us about a boiling melting pot. Jupiter rules Sagittarius. The planet of the 'international' rises before the USA Sun. Fortunately, Jupiter makes everything grow and gives hope.

USA Sagittarius rising, transits and progressions of today

Charts of leaders often reflect a nation's status. That is true for Barack Obama, now the government 'shut down'. It is transit Neptune inconjunct progressed Sun time for Obama and for the nation. Neptune confuses and is the symbol of ideology, beliefs and ideals. Inconjuncts mirror the loss (or loss of balance), a sliding horizon and giving up. I wrote about this aspect of deception in 'Heroes, angels and Sun inconjunct Neptune' in 2009. There is a lot of Sun-Neptune in Obama's chart, transits and progressions.

Natal, transits and progressions of Obama today

1. His natal Sun is square Neptune (just like in the chart of Angela Merkel). He is an idol.
2. His Neptune is inconjunct the natal Sun of John F Kennedy, his idol
3. Because of the fact that people expected an awful lot of their idol, he is likely to disappoint many. This happened before during Neptune's transits with his Sun. There was an inconjunct between Neptune and natal Sun mid 2010.
4. Right now transit Neptune inconjunct Sun doesn't only disappoint him. It has an effect on his ideal of Obamacare. And what happens next? Neptune creates mist.
5. Huffington Post reports about drinking and 'smelling it'. Neptune is the symbol of alcohol!

Today it is Mercury square Mercury day for Obama and that means a lot of talking and thinking to do. Meanwhile there is a 17x a lot of zero's debt and transit Pluto is about to enter the USA Sagittarius rising's second house. Transit Saturn will be square Obama's Sun, later. Hard times and this inconjunct of Neptune, ruler of the President's second house, won't help much to lift the fallen angel. Here are the charts.

USA today: Pholus on Ascendant?

Natal, transits and progressions for the Wall Street Crash in 1929

If the chart of the USA has a Sagittarius Ascendant, transit Pholus is now close to the USA’s Ascendant (and transit Pholus is already close to the Pluto of September 11. 2001). 

Pholus - Ascendant is often reflecting a turning point in a situation. The nation’s situation is changing, with the risk of damage (possibly caused by own decisions). It is not the only transit today. Transit Saturn inconjunct progressed Sun might stop certain developments and be depressing, but the progressed Sun trine natal Jupiter will follow a few days later. It seems to be a period of ups and downs with a chance of sudden windfall later and most of all: a turning point in history, in retrospective. 

Pholus is often indicating an important moment in retrospective. (Transit Pholus was exactly opposiition the Progressed Sun of President Obama, on the day that his idol J.F. Kennedy died. Even though Obama was only a todler then, this moment in history had impact.)

Pholus doesn't seem to offer insight in the nature of the starting moment of something that became important afterwards or later...I wonder what the importance of Pholus on the USA’s ascendant will be, when we look back at it later. Continue for some Pholus-moments in the history of the chart of the United States.
