Al Gore is wanted. Barack Obama wants him as his minister or even vice-president. Al Gore and the Clintons did not match much since Al Gore ran for president and now this completes it. I wrote about Al Gore before, when he won the Nobel Prize. I saw amazing comparissons with the chart of Yasser Arafat.
"This is about the NOBEL PRIZE (AL GORE AND ARAFAT both won the prize and see how much their charts are a look-a-like). The first you see is the chart of Al Gore. (This time I added the chart of Al Gore only).
What is it that Yasser Arafat and Al Gore share, except for the Nobelprize for Peace? Both have a planet on the 11th degree of Aries (Dane Rudhyar, freely translated, said this degree means that the administrator of a country is official inaugurated). Very convenient for astrology!:) They share about 8 aspect combinations.
Al Gore has Sun quintile Uranus. Yasser Arafat the biquintile.
Al Gore: Sun opposed to Neptune. Arafat: Sun conjunct Neptune. Al Gore: Sun trine Pluto. Arafat: Sun semi square Pluto. They share minor and major aspects between Moon and Mercury, Moon and Venus, Mercury and Saturn, Venus and Pluto kaders), Mars-MC and an MC in Aries. One, a fighter, received the Nobelprize for a Peace that never really existed. The other, consuming large amounts of energy for his own house, gets this prize for a movie about the environment.
Yasser Arafat is born on August 24, says Wikipedia, but Astrothème and my computer program say August 27 1929 at 2 a.m. in Cairo. Pluto is crucial on the Ascendant, Neptune is oriental conjunct the Sun, Mars and Uranus are on both sides of the meridian. We see an influencial ideologist and terrorist/freedom fighter (depending on which side you are). The 900 million he kept for himself could be contributed to Venus conjunct Pluto and Neptune in the second house.
Al Gore was born March 31, 1948 at 12h53 in Washinton. Minor aspects (only) are afflicting the oriental Mercury. Venus is calling, too. We see a communicator with diplomatic talents. The most narrow aspect in the chart of Al Gore is that of Mercury inconjunct Saturn (he should have to stop thinking in doom theories:). Saturn on the midpoint Mars/Pluto in the first house seems to be pointing at the nasty sides of political struggle.
Wikipedia mentions that during the campaign for the presidency of the USA Al Gore said misleading or false things. The same thing is happening now with An Inconvenient Truth. Recently a British judge judged that there are nine mistakes in this famous movie. Mistakes of great importance, I think (the period of time it takes for the sea to rise 20 feet, the facts that no polar bears drowned and no attols were evacuated, the fact that there is no exact fit at all between the graphs of carbon dioxide levels and temperatures over 650.000 years.
Al Gore has an afflicted Pisces Mercury inconjunct Saturn ('doom'theories and fantasies). That is one of the reasons that I doubt his theories just as much as I doubt Nostradamus, the Maya-calendar and the global effect of the position of Pluto conjunct the Galactic Centre, seen from earth. And it is not to be expected (astrologically) that there will be no other doubts. Next April Uranus will square his Progressed MC, Neptune will be inconjunct the Ascendant and Saturn will make hard aspects to both the natal and progressed Sun in the second half of August 2008. Well, time will tell..."
Well, it seems that Al Gore eventually DID have ambitions although he denied having them (again the effect of Neptune and Saturn)...Now let us have a look at the match with Obama...I see the Pluto of Al Gore sitting on the Sun of Obama and I am still thinking about the effect of that.(?;)

AL GORE/ARAFAT and the NOBEL PRIZE

AL GORE OR HILLARY CLINTON?
Who will Obama's 'second man'?
Hillary Clinton has given up with transit Saturn sextile Sun and transit Jupiter trine progressed Northern Node. She can still become an important figure in the government (provided that Obama beats McCain).
In april 2008 Obama said that he wanted Al Gore to become his vice president, but Al Gore did not say he would like to be his second man and that he is more interested in the enviromnment. Hillary Clinton has said that she is interested, but it seems that those who favour Obama do not like Hillary. Can he skipp her? I doubt it. But any compromise is possible. And astrology does not provide an answer when it comes to the difference between being a minister or a vice-president. Hillary Clinton has been in the White House before, already and I suppose she was influencial at the time, too.

We will have to wait till then, I am afraid, or throw coines:). We are not certain about birth times. And the messages of today show us that birth times make a hugh difference!

Uranus, inconvenience and Al Gore's chart
Al Gore won’t come to Copenhagen; he cancelled the meeting. Does ‘ Climategate’ have anything to do with it? First, he planned to go, he is the leading figure in the global warming hype, he is expected to be there. What on earth kept him out of the plane this time? It is Uranus, that inconvenient planet of disturbance.

Here is the chart, with progressions and transits (courtesy Astrodatabank) for the day that he was expected to be in Copenhagen, the 16th of December. Uranus is exactly on the Descendant (just like in Tiger Woods’ chart). Something came up, something inconvenient, a revelation, newspapers…and it disturbed the ordinary routine. (Uranus is the symbol of the alarm, the exposure and the ‘ truth’ and came from the 6th house to cross over the horizon). And in Al Gore's case that inconvenience might be: Climategate. The Climate conference in Copenhagen would start on December 16, whit New Moon in the 25th degree of Sagittarius, a degree of an excessive party and exaggeration (according to Janduz). Had Al Gore come to Copenhagen, he could have become involved in a hectic situation, maybe even in an accident. That is because Uranus is the planet of (sometimes unpleasant) surprises and twists of faith, like Tiger Woods found out. Maybe an astrologer adviced Al Gore to stay home?:)

Al and Tipper Gore are separating
On Asrology-love-romance.blogspot.com I wrote about the long lasting relationship between Al and Tipper Gore. They managed to stick together for decades, and now they have agreed to divorce! What transits and progressions accompany this decission? And what does this divorce say about indications in the natal chart?
TIPPER
When I wrote about Tipper, I hadn't 'discovered' Pholus, yet. Pholus (the symbol of the turning point) is in her 7th house. In her natal chart the rulers of 1 and 7 are in conflict and the ruler of the 7th house of marriage is semi square Venus in the 1st house. Those are indications for possible divorce.
Right now, Tipper's progressed Ascendant is opposition transit Neptune (to see her chart, scroll down). I have learned that it is rather difficult to really separate from a partner, when Neptune is involved (ties because of parenthood or other dependencies).
Neptune is also ' active' in Al Gore's chart right now (see later). Neptune is an important factor in the relationship between her chart and Al Gore's, too. I quote from Astrology & Love:
AL GORE has a (wide) sesquisquare between Venus and Neptune and his progressed Venus is now square natal Neptune, with transit Neptune in the equal 7th house. Venus-Neptune is a romantic combination and often romance is sad. In a few cases Venus-Neptune refers to affairs. In a man's natal chart the Venus-Neptune affliction is one of the indications for a divorce. (This one proofs that the orb of a sesquisquare may be up to 2 degrees!)
Also, transit Pluto is now inconjunct his natal Ascendant (stressful situation, including a lost, a price to pay).
All in all they had 3 indications as a couple.
BTW The Gore's have stated that they grew apart and are separating on a friendly basis.
More about Al Gore ;here. Here are the charts with today's transits and progressions:

They share a conflict between Sun and Neptune (he has the opposition and she has a semi square). On Astromarkt there is an article about sharing aspects. I write about Sun-Neptune:
"Sun and Neptune shared in aspect gives you shared ideals, dreams and faith or even a shared idol! But with hard aspects you might share the same disillusions as well or this relationship is disillusive. Cooperating could work out best in an asylum or in a non-profit organization where they can help others, and each other.
Another possible combination is between enemies and with Sun in hard aspect with Neptune shared. Ideology stand between you as was the case with the murderer of director Theo van Gogh who shared Sun square Neptune with his victim.
"
I read that they go to church each Sunday (if possible). Neptune is the symbol of ideology and religion. Perhaps the issue of sharing the same ideals is a hot item for the relationship. Life is not always a dream, but you can at least try to realise yours...perhaps that is the general idea of Sun-Neptune here.

CHARTS OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PRESIDENTS AND VICE-PRESIDENTS
Presidents and vice-presidents...Do they need to match? Obama and Biden, McCain and Palin, they don't need to match like friends do or like lovers do. They work together and let us hope that they have the same goals, without competition.
Did Bill Clinton match with Al Gore? Or JF Kennedy with LB Johnson? Did they choose their running mates because they liked each other? The choice for a vice-president might be made on a basis of complementarities, too. The latest teams (IMO) have such a basis. The democrats have Obama, the idealist/visionary and Biden, who does the implementation. They cooperate because they have the same goals. The republicans have McCain, a man of action, with Palin, an ambitious idealist. They join forces to make a change together (and alter the polls). Choices seem to have improved during history. Here is my astrological view about JFK/LBJ (a polite relationship), Clinton/Gore (a separated couple) and GWB/Cheney (colliding genarations).
LOVELY SYNASTRY? MOON AND VENUS FOR JFK AND LBJ
See JFK and LBJohnson's charts and you immediately notice that LB's Moon is square the Sun of Kennedy (a match in a way, but not an easy one) and that his Venus is square the Ascendant of JFK (uh?). Moon and Venus of LBJ are linked to Sun and Ascendant of JFK. We cannot expect them to have been lovers, can we? I read that JFK offered LBJ the position of VP as a sort of a courtesy (being polite: VENUS!) and that he needed (MOON!) the LBJ-voters.
Both men have the Moon biquintile Pluto. They share a need for power and control and they are both able to creatively act as an authority.

LBJ has Mars oriental, conjunct Sun, in a very 'Virgo' chart. JFK has Jupiter oriental (square Uranus). The Sun, Neptune and Pluto are 'calling'. JFK was a leader at any level with an international orientation and a modern conviction. He also was and is mythical (Neptune and Pluto prominent). LBJ had the perfect chart to operate in the shadow of JFK. I am surprised to see LBJ's Vulcanus (symbol of violent/public death) on the descendant of JFK.
The relationship between a born international leader and an energetic public servant was based upon diplomacy and need.
NOT A MATCH? VENUS-NEPTUNE AND MOON-SATURN FOR BILL AND AL
Did Bill and Al ever like each other, I wonder? The Venus of Al Gore, square the Sun of Bill Clinton seems to show some sympathy and Venus of Bill is opposition the Sun of Al, so maybe there was a mutual agreement or mutual courtesy. Al Gore happens to have a sesquisquare of Venus and Neptune, so that Neptune is conjunct Bill's Venus and Venus is sesquisquare Bill's Venus. That turns the sympathy into frustration and disillusion. Of course, when you work together, you must like each other a little bit, but...Saturn of Bill is conjunct the Ascendant of Al and Moon of Al is square Ascendant and opposition MC of Bill. It looks like a father-mother relationship with the nation as the 'to be nurtured' child. Bill the father and Al the mother:)

Bill Clinton is a politician 'pur sang'. Pluto is oriental in his chart. He knows the right people and knows how to earn money. Mercury, Saturn and Pluto rising before the Sun make him a true strategist. He has a strong will (fixed signs prevail) and he doesn't seem to have much empathy (no water signs), so that he might hurt feelings when he speaks out (fire and air).
Al Gore is an ambitious person (Sun Aries, Moon Capricorn). His Mercury and Venus are calling and that gives him communication talents. He is not a servant, like LBJ was.
What they share are aspect combinations of Mercury and Pluto (the power of the word) and Mars -Saturn with Jupiter-Pluto (the ambition, earning money). But what divide them are the aspects that point at divorce from a woman in a male’s chart: Moon-Saturn and Venus-Neptune. Should we see the president and the VP as a married couple?:)
This relationship is between a strong willed strategical politician who might hurt feelings and an ambitious communication talent, whose presentation is somehow in the disadvantage of the president.
THE SILENT VP: GEORGE AND DICK

The Saturn square Saturn in their charts could be explained by the relationship that Cheney already had with George W. Bush's father. Dick Cheney might be sort of representing the Bush senior administration and in some ways, there may be or have been differences and controversy. There are little matches and also Cheney's Jupiter is square Bush's Saturn. It will be difficult for Cheney to advice Bush. Another thing is Bush's Pluto opposition Cheney's Sun. Now we have Saturn and Pluto of Bush against Jupiter and Sun of Cheney. Where Bush experiences the disadvantages of politics and the problems of administration, Cheney - in this relationship - seems to be growing. His Pluto on the Ascendant of Bush tells us about the influence of the VP and of how the presentations of Bush are a pain to Cheney, perhaps.

Bush, his chart has been read by too many people already, so let's be short. Saturn on the Ascendant is not the best position a person can have, but the angularity of Saturn shows ambition, too. We see Mercury calling, biquintile Neptune for communications at any level, creatively connected to the planet of fantasies and mistakes. Uranus is oriental. The prominent placements of Mercury, Saturn and Uranus refer to the controversy between conservatives and democrats, the old and the new ideas, the communications between father and the son and: at the limitations of mental freedom (maybe just the protocol or the law) that play a major role in his life. Note that Saturn and Uranus will be on the meridian of the final moment of the elections and that Saturn inconjunct Uranus is the tightest aspect in Obama's chart.
Bush's chart is that of a reserved and taken back person who want to make changes and be 'different' but is limited at the same time.
Cheney has an oriental Ceres with Mars. Nurture and caretaking are strongly related to war and aggression. Ceres is the symbol of seeds and Mars of war. The oriental Mars is for a 'do-er', a person who is ready to act, always. He also has a calling Neptune, so that both Mars and Neptune are prominent in his chart. Mars is sesquisquare Pluto and that points at political struggle. That makes you think about wasted energy and the probability of mistakes. But then, how could he rise to a VP? Is this his HOB, really? Well, if it is, he miraculously made his way to Washington. Neptune trine the Midheaven is illustrative for his discretion and this silent VP.
This relationship seems to be between a limited president wanting to make changes and a discretely acting vice president who do not trust each other much. For an administration the conflict between their Saturn's is very hard to deal with. They seem to have different ideas about rules and laws.
OBAMA AND BIDEN
The Saturn of Obama is opposition the Jupiter of Joe Biden. The Moon of Obama is conjunct the Descendant of Biden (for 8:30) and Mercury trine the Ascendant of Biden. Venus of Obama square Neptune of Biden. Sun of Biden square Node of Obama. They do not have matching sun signs, moon signs or Mercury's. The choice for Biden must have been based on other terms than 'feel goods'.

The Saturn-Jupiter conflict is interesting. The convictions of Biden might me in contrast with the ambitions of Obama and Obama tends to limit Biden's progress in life or ...to give it the constructive basis that is needed. One in the role of the man in charge (Saturn) and one in the role of the coach (Biden), but sometimes they might have quite different views. I hope that Obama will accept his advices and that they are able to keep the balance in ups and downs.
Is it a fortune that Obama's Moon is conjunct Biden's Uranus and descendant? This combination might awaken certain habits and reactions in Obama and one never knows which, because Uranus is surprising. The combination will be stimulating, sometimes colliding.
What Obama and Biden (if not born in the night) share is Moon square Pluto, so both are strong personalities. In my article about sharing aspects I wrote:
"….is a challenge for daily life. Two little tyrants wanting to have it their way, to eat their favorite food! But they are a closed front when in trouble. A bit like the Bundies! "
We are talking about politicians here. Pluto is the planet of politics and strategy. They do not have to live together. And together they are strong! Like the Bundies:) And that reminds me of JFK and LBJ, who both had Moon biquintile Pluto. Politicians might need that aspect:)
One of the better things in the relationship between the two charts is the Sun of Biden on the MC of Obama, so that his life (Biden's) and Obama's goals and position go together (of course, whatever happens:).
Obama, in short, is a popular, concerned worker in the public field, an idealist with a strong personality (Moon-Pluto) who wants to break free or change laws and status quo. Biden is an activist (a fighter) and democrat who wants to be a rebel and make changes, too. They are in a way complementary. Obama is the idealist/visionary and Biden is the person who does the implementation.
MCCAIN AND PALIN

His Sun is inconjunct hers. That could make it difficult for them to 'shine' when they are together. They don't match when it really comes to it and the might live their lives and do their things their own way in a sort of a living together, apart:)
McCain's Sun is trine her Midheaven if she is born at 16:40 hours. And he certainly brought her fame and glory. The strange thing is that her Neptune is square the Ascendant of Barack Obama!
What joins them - whatever hour of birth! - is a quick mind (Mercury-Uranus; both have a creative biquintile of Mercury and Uranus) and a hot temper in control (Mars-Saturn-Uranus). He has Mars square Uranus, she has the quindecile; he has Mars biquintile Saturn, she has Mars conjunct Saturn. This combination means that they have extraordinary powers of resistance. They are both strong and able to deal with a lot of pressure.
Sarah's nickname is 'barracuda'...They will be fighting the status quo together, but they will also be popular together and stimulate each other (Moon-Jupiter in both charts, for 11: 00 and 16:40). They will go their own way (Sun inconjunct Sun: sort of a living together, apart). Still, with Venus conjunct the composite IC we may count on mutual sympathy, too.
McCain is above all an activist, a fighter with a strong personality (Moon-Pluto!) and he is ambitious (Moon in Capricorn), in an obsessive way (Sun quindecile - 165 d - Saturn), focussed on being a leader in administration, even at his age. The tightest aspect in his chart is Moon opposition Pluto. His experiences in situations of danger of course changed (shaped?) his personality in a dramatic way. BTW: does it really matter that he has a strong and dominating personality? Because so has Obama (Moon square Pluto). And maybe you cannot become a candidate without being persistent. Look at the charts of JFK and LBJ (both Moon biquintile Pluto).
Palin is a bit like Obama. She is an idealist, concerned (working in the public field), like him. She is ambitious and she has a conviction, too. She is very discrete and maybe not the person you think you see. While McCain is the man of action, she is the woman of visions. They are complementary, like the democratic team is.
More about the elections in the USA…. ALSO NOTICE THAT MCCAIN's HOUR OF BIRTH HAS BEEN FOUND ON A BIRTH CERTIFICATE for 6:25 PM
Did Bill Clinton match with Al Gore? Or JF Kennedy with LB Johnson? Did they choose their running mates because they liked each other?

OBAMA AND BIDENThe Saturn of Obama is opposition the Jupiter of Joe Biden.

Chart of Rajendra Pachauri (IPCC)
When Jupiter is in aspect with Saturn, you are to expect 'ups and downs', slow (but steady) growing careers and hierarchy might be an issue. Mr. Pachauri, who joined Al Gore in winning the Nobel Prize for the global warming story is now the object of controversy, because of the mistakes about the glaciers in the Himalaya and because he has written a romantic novel that increases the temperature just by reading it:). TALENT
There is no known hour of birth, but...it is easy to see the man of controversies (Sun exactly square Uranus) and the fact that communications (and writing) are part of the 'ups and downs': Mercury is square Jupiter and Saturn.
Is he an artistic talent? With Moon in Pisces, Venus quintile Neptune and Moon probably opposition Neptune, I'd guess so. I also like his Venus quintile Quaoar, reflecting the talent to creatively shape new worlds and new concepts.
PLUTO
Pluto (the symbol of strategy, politics, power, influence, money and potential) is the first outer planet rising before his natal Sun and that means that his orientation is in the Plutonic field. Noel Tyl writes that Pluto oriental is the symbol of the importance of knowing the right kind of folks. Pluto doesn't make any aspect in sign or orb 5 degrees. That is an important reflection of power and knowing people - networking - at any possible level. Mr. Pachauri knows the most important opinion makers in the world.
About two years ago he had a life changing aspect: progressed Sun squares his important Pluto! That is when he got the Nobel Prize, together with Al Gore, whose Pluto is conjunct the Mercury of Pachauri (and that means influence on his ideas). The influence is mutual: Pachauri's Pluto is conjunct the Ascendant of Al Gore.
CHARTS

Here above is the chart of the day of birth of Rajendra Pachauri, born in Nainital, India on August 20, 1940. He is Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Economics and just like with Al Gore, his Mercury is in conflict with Saturn. In the article about sharing aspects on Astromarkt I wrote:
Mercury and Saturn: sharing the same hard convictions, being serious about that. With hard aspects you are both mistrusting the world outside and that is what joins you.

BIRTH CHART TIPPER GORE
Yesterday I saw a documentary about the history of heavy metal. In that documentary Tipper Gore showed up. She used to be one of the concerned mothers trying to forbid this music! I was surprised to see a democrate do that, so I looked at her chart...
In Tipper Gore's (19 August 1948 at 2h40 a.m. Washington) I see Sun conjunct Saturn (rising before the Sun). That might explain enough already (a conservative orientation), had not her Moon in Aquarius been in opposition with Saturn. Her need to change the world is in conflict with her conservative orientation. It must not have been an easy choice to fight heavy metal:).
The Venus of spouse Al Gore (born 31 March 1948 at 12h53 in Wahsington) is tightly square her Sun and Saturn and her crucial Venus - on the ascendant - squares his Sun while her Neptune opposes his Sun. They have been married since 19 May 1970.

Old wine in new bags: Saturn opposition Uranus

Old wine *)in new bottles, the elections and their ‘credo’s’? That is what crossed my mind a few times. And it seems that the Washington Post of June 2008 had the same idea about the candidates. It crossed my mind again, when I read that John Kerry and Al Gore are supposed to be a member of the new Obama-administration (if he wins). It is sooo Saturn-Uranus! You see: John Kerry's Sun is in the 19th of Sagittarius and the progressed Midheaven of Al Gore in the 22nd of Gemini, now. There is good old Saturn opposition Uranus again!
Old wine in new bottles is maybe the theme of this election. Obama started this with his European Tour, with going to Berlin, referring to John F. Kennedy, in July. I wrote among other things:
"Saturn of Obama is close to an opposition with the Midheaven of JFK. Instead of Jupiter-Uranus, Obama has Saturn-Uranus (Saturn inconjunct Uranus). So we might consider Uranus to be inconjunct the IC of JFK, too. I keep wondering what this particular aspect might indicate. A positive attitude towards the future (Jupiter-Uranus, JFK) and: being scared of the future (Saturn-Uranus, Obama)? JFK wanted to make changes; Obama says he wants to change things. But why then that Saturn-Uranus conflict?
This is what Astrology Weekly says (in other words) about the aspect and it remarkably fits the news.... that with Saturn inconjunct Uranus.......
In a sense, you are locked up in the past, and that persons with this quincunx are trying to hold on to old concepts, desperately."

Is not it remarkable that the Saturn-Uranus inconjunction in the chart of Obama is linked to the Sun of his wife and that Saturn-Uranus is exactly in opposition on Election Day and that these possible future members of the government have that transit of Saturn-Uranus related to their charts most important positions? Both planned to be a president one day and both failed. Now they are getting a new chance to reign (again) and make everything new the old way. Or the other way around: they do it like they did before with a new crew. Back to the future?

READING OBAMA's CHART, PART 1

This post was written before his hour of birth was known. Many posts have followed since. Please click the label 'Obama' below to see the latest info, now that his hour of birth is known (19:24).
I am thinking aloud in this message about the chart of Obama. Is this the next president's chart? Possibly.
On Election day, his Jupiter is conjunct the Moon when the polls close their doors in Washington. And btw the Moon of the USA Gemini Rising chart (4th July 1776 2h13m36s Philadelphia) is conjunct his natal Ascendant. What can I do to see if this is a presidential chart? I can compare his with the charts of other presidents and candidates. I can read his chart as if I did not know he was a candidate (in which case I find an artist more than a president and start wondering if the HOB is REALLY REALLY his). I can look at his progressed chart and than I see a more political profle than in his birth chart (Pluto rising before the Sun, for example). But:
At first sight, Barack Obama is quite different than other presidents of the USA. The majority of them have an important Jupiter and Pluto for self confidence. F.ex.:
EXAMPLES OF JUPITER AND PLUTO PRESIDENTS
Jimmy Carter (October 1, 1924 7a.m. Plains Georgia) has Jupiter inconjunct MC and Pluto crucially placed on top of the Midheaven! Moon is semi sextile Jupiter in own sign.
Dwight D. Eisenhower (October 14, 1890, 17h45 Denison) who was above all a general, had Mars conjunct MC, Jupiter (3rd degree of Aquarius) in the 10th house, tighly square the Moon and Pluto 'calling' (not making Ptolemeic aspects in orb 5d and in sign).
J.F. Kennedy had Jupiter oriental (first important planet rising before the 'Sun) and Pluto calling! His Moon was widely trine Jupiter (orb almost 6 degrees, Mercury 'transferring the light').
Richard Nixon had Pluto high in the chart, Jupiter oriental...but the Moon did not contact Jupiter (9th January 1913, 21h30 Yorba Linda). Maybe Jupiter in the house ruled by the Moon (the 4th) compensated this.
His tightest aspect is Mars opposition Pluto (Hillary Clinton has Mars-Pluto too).
Gerald Ford (14th July 1913 0h43 CST Omaha) had Pluto oriental, Neptune on the IC, the Moon in the 4th degree of Sagittarius (sort of a Moon-Jupiter connection:) and Jupiter calling.
MCCAIN, CLINTON AND OBAMA
McCain (29th August 1935 9 a.m. Cocosolo) has Pluto on top, Mars oriental (first of all a soldier), Jupiter inconjunct MC and Moon in the 4th house, but not connected with Jupiter. The profile is not complete.
Hillary Clinton (26th October 1947, maybe 20 hours, Chicago) has Neptune oriental, Moon trine Jupiter out of sign, Sun calling and Pluto sesquisquare Aries Point. Jupiter does not make Ptolemeic aspects in sign or orb (and is of course trine Moon out of sign, I know), but using my own rules Jupiter is calling in her chart. So she had the profile, she was a good candidate.
Obama (4th August 1961 at 19h24 AHT Honolulu) has the Moon trine Jupiter, Pluto?, Jupiter? and instead Neptune on top, Moon on IC. He has a different profile! Does that mean that he won't become a president? His progressed chart shows Pluto rising before the Sun and the retrograding Jupiter in the 10th house. Maybe he was not a born president, but he might BE one. Or a different kind of a president. Let us take a look at the chart of Al Gore, the one who didnot make it.
FAILING CANDIDATES
Al Gore (born 31st March 1948 at 12h53 EST Washington) has a 'calling' Mercury and Jupiter (conjunct with the Moon, though out of sign), Pluto is the first planet in the first house, but not conjunct the Ascendant (using a tight orb). Why did not he make it? Sun is opposition Neptune, while Sun and Mars are in mutual reception ruling the Midheaven. Neptune is the blame. Notice that unclear and misty results of the elections ended his ambitions. Neptune was opposition his Ascendant in 2000. At closure time on election day George W. Bush's Sun was conjunct the Ascendant. No signs in the chart of Al Gore.
OTHER PROFILES IN CHARTS OF PRESIDENTS
OK, one of them has got to be the president, either McCain or Obama, even though their profile is different from other presidents. Abraham Lincoln had a different profile, too. His Sun is rising, Neptune conjunct the MC. Moon is sextile Jupiter. Still, he is an important president in history. George Washington (22 February 1732, 10h05 am Westmoreland) had an important Moon rising before the Sun, Mars on the Descendant and much self confidence (Sun biquintile Jupiter and sesquisquare Pluto), but he didnot have an important Pluto or Jupiter.
So maybe Obama does not have it all and neither has McCain, but only time can tell who will win if you consider their charts to be important. And time says:
PROGNOSIS (TAKE CARE, BASED UPON 9:am, LATER IT WAS KNOWN THAT THE HOB OF MCCAIN SHOULD POSSIBLY BE 11:00 A.M.)
McCain's solar return has Saturn on the Descendant. McCain's solar arc Saturn is semi square the natal MC on the 14th of November. Transit Saturn and Uranus in harmonious aspect with the progressed Sun and progressed Saturn conjunct and Neptune opposition the final moment of election day in Washington (20th degree of Pisces MC).
Obama however has transit Moon conjunct his natal Jupiter on that moment and transit Jupiter square his progressed Ascendant.
And BTW, George W. Bush's Sun is on the Ascendant of the final moment again:).
CONCLUSION
I think Obama does not have the confidence that most of the others had or have. And he might be a dreamer with problemous ideals that do not easily come true (Sun square Neptune on top), and he might promise too much (Mercury opposition Jupiter). With this chart he could have been an actor as well (Moon crucial, Neptune on top...) because there is little in the chart that refers to power. I am not sure about the winner, but given the Neptune effect in the chart of McCain at the final moment of the elections, I very much doubt that he can be sure about being the winner on the 4th of November. In the past it took the USA weeks to find a winner, so maybe that moment does not reveal it all. The birth chart of Obama makes me ask questions. But when you read like if you did not know who he was you would probably say with me:
I see the chart of an idealist, a person who might be hiding behind the picture of an ideal person. He is a leader,ok, he is good with children or 'the people', he knows how to be nice and he could have been an artist playing the role of the president of the USA. And that thought reminded me of Ronald Reagan, born February 6, 1911, at 3h30 CST in Tampico, Illinois with Uranus rising before his Sun (he got old, did not he?) and with no crucial placement at all. His Sun and Jupiter semi square/sesquisquare Aries Point and Pluto calling, however, pointed at the same profile that I mentioned above.
I have 5 months to consider and ponder left. Am I lucky?:)One thing I am happy about is that I don't have to choose and vote. In fact, neither do the Americans. They can simply select the program instead of the man, because governments are teamwork in a democratic country. Somewhere on this blog, in the Label Elections, you find a link to a way to vote if you are not American:)

Winter Solstice time and Eclipse 13 North
We use to celebrate the new year on January 1, 0 hours, but that is a rather artificial date to start the new year. The astrological New Year begins when the Sun is on the equinox, on his way up to the North. That is with Sun at Zero Aries. Winter begins with the Sun at Zero Capricorn. This year that is on December 21 at 11:38:30 p.m. (23:38:30 hours) Greenwich Time. That is on December 22 at 00:38:30 in The Netherlands, Belgium, France and Spain, for example. In those countries the Sun will be opposition Midheaven when the winter starts. Winter Solstice in New York (18:38:30 on December 21) has no angular placements. I don't know if solstice charts have a special meaning. I think that they mean what a 'January 1 zero hour' charts means: a picture of a moment in time with a special meaning for those who find it a special moment. But...
If the positions at solstice time are valid for the next 3 months for all places, than I hope that the Jupiter conjunct Uranus square Mercury-combiation will be the reflection of relief in transportations soon, but as long as Mercury is retrograding we can't expect much. The winter weather causes delay all over and experts say that the second cold winter now (with few solar activity) might be the beginning of a small ' ice age'. I won't ask Al Gore where global warming is when you need it, but I anticipated for the tropics and loved the palm trees in the garden and see what happens in my icy cold garden:

ECLIPSE
Today was the lunar eclipse in the Sarosserie 13 North, the one that started on August 14, 1776. According to Bernadette Brady's book "Predictive Astrology' this one is the member of a family of eclipses ment for groups and projects with groups. Those projects require separations. The eclipse should be experienced as a separation and later as a group achievement. This eclipse number occured in 1992 and in 1974 and in 1956 and in 1938, always in Novemer or December. Perhaps lots of travellers now feel separated from their groups and families. I hope that they will get home soon!
Those who have a placement in the 29th degree of Gemini (Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Midheaven) or a progressed placement there might notice the effect of this eclipse more than others do. Continue for experiences with eclipses and famous examples...

LEO
All about the sunsign Leo, Moon in Leo, planets, Ascendant and MC in Leo

Leo is a fixed fire sign ruled by the Sun himself. So Leo is the sign of manifestations, being a star and being noticed.
Keywords for Leo are: strong will, show, pride and vitality.
You show (and you might sure say SHOW) you are a Lion by':
- wanting to be in the middle of the attention (esp. as a child you can sure draw some attention!)
- wanting to be the boss, the champion or the star
- showing off (sometimes with body building)
- being bossing around (somebody has to be the boss and that might as well be Leo)
- placing honour and honesty above all
- being arrogant
- being expensive
- talking too loud
Examples? Mick Jagger, Schwarzenegger, Fidel Castro
Moon in Leo
Those with Moon in Leo have a sense for status and sometimes they walk around showing off where there in fact is nothing to be shown but fake. It is a position for pretensions. They just have a need to draw attention and look royal (dressed up with 'jewels', 'furs' etc.).
Evita Perron, Margareth Thatcher, Nancy Reagan, Raisa Gorbatsjov and queen Elisabeth have such a moon in their chart.
Mercury in Leo
When you talk all the rest must keep silent (willing or not). You have noble opinions but sometimes you tell them to arrogantly. As a student you hate details. You do a study with all your heart.
Venus in Leo
Loyal is royal. You like to spend money when you love and adore someone to show your pride. Venus in Leo might also mean 'women attracting attention'. Maybe that is why Rubens has this position:)?
Mars in Leo
The managing soldier, fighting openly and proudly. Active as a leader, but as a boss (in trouble or with bad aspects) you are aggressive sometimes!
Examples? Al Gore
Jupiter in LeoSelf confidence! Believing in life itself.
Bill Gates, John Paul II as examples.
Saturn in LeoLimited vitality. The serious side of life and the load of leadership. Respect is very important for you. You always stay correct.
Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela, Schwarzenegger, Al Gore
Ascendant in Leo
Whatever you do you will make sure it is noticed! Muhammad Ali is a great example of ascendant Leo, esp. when he shouted: "I am the greatest!". But all that noise might be covering up someone else...
And yes, Mick Jagger, George Pompidou, Charles and Camilla, Marilyn Monroe and O.J. Simpson share this ascendant.
MC in Leo
You want to be the star, the leader or the boss! Or at least be noticed...

Chart of Rachel Carson (Mercury-Saturn)
There is Climate Conference in Copenhagen going on. Time to get back into time: the sixties. That is when a environmental issue is hot stuff. American marine biologist Rachel Carson writes 'Silent Spring' and 50 years later Wikipedia writes two things. In English her prophecies about the dangers of pesticides came true. In Dutch her ideas about those dangers are referred to as 'Rachel Carson syndrome'. This means that there is at least a controversy:)
Her chart is on Astrodatabank.
Rachel Carson has, just like many scientist, an aspect between Mercury and Saturn, in her case a quintile for creative conservative thinking (following the standing theories). The quintile enabled her to develop new theories. Saturn is conjunct the Ascendant, a prominent placement! Rachel Carson's book was a doom theory. She wrote 'Silent Spring', referring to a spring without birds. It was probably the first book ever written about the environment and the dangers coming from human beings. And it attributed to the end of using DDT.
Although she certainly was a woman with a passion (Venus nor Mars are making aspects), she never got married. She was totally devoted to her job (Sun/Moon square Mars: being motivated by working). I'll be back soon with more about Sun/Moon midpoint and motivations...
RELATED
1. Al Gore has Mercury inconjunct Saturn, which seems to me a lesser fortunate combination than the creative quintile. That is because the inconjunction includes losts and losing balance. Mercury inconjunct Saturn also requires 'to eat the elephant in small pieces' in order not to lose control.

Progressed Mars and aspects
This month Astropost focusses on the progressed chart (the chart for the xth day = xth year after birth). The progressed Mars works like natal Mars. Examples? Naomi Campbell, Ted Stevens, Solomon Burke and Jared Lee Loughner.
1. In Astropost: THE PROGRESSED MARS OF NAOMI CAMPBELL you can see how the progressed Mars square Uranus shows the same issue as in the natal chart: the short fuse, incident or
(More about Mars-Uranus on Astromarkt...)
3. In the post about the death of Solomon Burke I mention transit Saturn with progressed Mars. The combination of Mars and Saturn mirrors the same 'restricted energy' as in the natal chart.
4. A recent example of progressed Mars with Pluto: the chart of Dr.Conrad Murray. Also, see the progressed Mars-Pluto aspects in the case of Joran van der Sloot. (and here )
5. Last weekend mrs. Gabrielle Giffords was severely hurt and bystanders lost their lives when Jared Lee Loughner caused death and destruction by means of a gun. His progressed Mars was quindecile Sun (obsession with anger and arms) and his progressed Sun was square Mars (hurt, aggression*). His natal and (retrograding) progressed Mars are in Aries.
Continue for the chart of his day of birth, transits and progressions and for more about progressed Mars changing sign.
MARS CHANGING SIGN
When my progressed Mars changed sign, I happened to find another job but it was not life changing or a move to another kind of activitie, maybe because your energy is changing. I remember that I started fitness trainings and aerobics in those days. So, in general: new activities, new drives (for a while:). You can see the interpretation of Mars in each sign here to give an idea.
Mars in Aries:
strong position. Mars rules Aries. The planet of the warrior and sportsman in the sign of activity. The fast worker, the real man (Clint Eastwood has this position), the person that cannot stop fitnessing. You are a do-type having this position.
Mars in Taurus:
The locomotive worker, starting slowly, but going on till the job is done and way beyond that point:). When mad, it is not easy to forget about it later. Good position for a sculpturer.
Mars in Gemini
You can do two things at the same time or have two jobs at the same time or be equally active in two places at the same time, like magic. In a debate you are very sharp and bright and your words might hurt. When afflicted you produces rows (verbal, of course). You are technically handy.
Mars in Cancer
You do things based on experiences or out of memory. This is not a strong position for Mars, acting emotionally. When emotions are involved you can get angry. Your stomach might get irritated, you may eat to fast, you can quarrel at home...But at best you are the man about the house.
Ehmmm...like Nostradamus and Shakespeare.
Mars in Leo
The managing soldier, fighting openly and proudly. Active as a leader, but as a boss (in trouble or with bad aspects) you are aggressive sometimes!
Examples? Al Gore
Mars in Virgo
The handyman, the realistic and practical service man, the cool guy. Badly aspected you are often aggressive to your employees. Example: George W. Bush!
Mars in Libra
A difficult position for a marriage for Mars brings aggression and fights. You DO something when you see someone nice so maybe being loyal might not be easy.
But OK, you CAN work on a relationship and you can WORK together. As long as you and your partner have sport together or join in the job it is OK. Until bad times arise...
Bill Clinton and Bill Gates are examples.
Mars in Scorpio
The strong man who always finished his job. The fanatic worker born for burnout...
Mars in Sag
You work with enthusiasm and in discussions you are very sharp sometimes. But generally you are a good sportsman.
Mars in Capricorn
The symbol of the hard worker and climber! Mars is well placed in Capricorn as now energy is concentrated.
Mars in Aquarius
Free sex? Could be one of the ways this placement works out, but mostly with Mars in Aquarius you become an auto freak or you just love teamwork, like Enzo Ferrari.
Mars in Pisces
Waste of energy or realising dreams...Your motivation is not from this world, you must have an ideal to work for. Otherwise you drift away, maybe as a professional swimmer.
Michael Palin, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Getty
(From the chosen examples you can see that there is more than just Mars in a sign and that a chart is more than just Mars...I prefer to read charts using my Astro ID and quick scan method instead of diving into the signs.)
HOW ABOUT YOU?
The examples need not have the same resonation in your chart. When I had Progressed Mars opposition natal Pluto in 1978, nothing important happened (that I remember now). Astrology is like stats sometimes. It just doesn't work vice versa. And a big event takes more than just 1 aspect (usually 3).

CAPRICORN
All about the sun sign Capricorn, Moon, planets, Ascendant and Midheaven in Capricorn

Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, is a cardinal earth sign.
KEYWORDS for Capricorn are: formal, order, duty, concentration, ambition
You show having Sun in Capricorn by:
- reading all the little letters in a contract
- being careful
- working hard
-feeling disturbed by noise
- limiting your expenses as good as you can
Capricorn is the sign of the civil servant and has all the qualities (the good and the bad) of civil service: sticking to the rules, mistrust, slowly climbing up). The good side: doing what should be done. And to provide this sign for being dull: Caps have a special kind of humour.
Nixon and Elvis Presley are representatives of the sun sign Capricorn
Moon in CapricornWeak in this sign the moon is limited in showing emotions and might look cool and hard and concentrated on the immediate intimates. It is a hot item for mothers with moon in Cap to keep the house and the children perfectly clean (for whatever 'reason'). Rules are rules in this sign.
Adolf Hitler, Al Gore and Christina Onassis have Moon in Capricorn
Mercury in CapricornLogic thinking and good mental concentration, but with affliction it might be hard to communicate (because of a physical limitation f.ex.) Good position for administration and organisation or for organising administration.
Venus in Capricorn
Discretion and security are important in love life and taking care too! So this one is not easy to be seduced and will prefer to stay alone or marry late in life. Now there are bad examples of this placement: Caroline of Monaco. She does not fit! Or does she? She married an older man...
Mars in CapricornThe symbol of the hard worker and climber! Mars is well placed in Capricorn as now energy is concentrated.
Jupiter in Capricorn
Good placement for a public figure or authority in any field, like Nixon, Queen Paola of Belgium or astrologer Adrian Duncan.
Saturn in Capricorn
The strongest place for Saturn and for those who want a climb slowly and gain authority, by endurance, like Rembrandt, Rubens and ...Koresh.
Ascendant in Capricorn
You do it cool and conform the rules. Very aware of decorum and ranks. You feel good when you are among authorities or older people and esp. if they do not get emotional., for you don't either. You look young at old age.
Paul Newman and Sean Connery are some of those real cool examples.
MIDHEAVEN or MC in Capricorn
You want a position with responsibility or authority and you seriously go for it.
Until you end up lonely at the top like Rockefeller, Robert Kennedy and Bill Graham

Mars conjunct Saturn: unstoppable
There is a neurosurgeon in my country who is not allowed to work anymore, but he found a job in Germany. He made big mistake, used fake photos, performed brain surgery on healthy people and told them that they had Alzheimer. One person committed suicide after visiting him. The neurosurgeon started to fail and make up stories after an accident and later use of drugs. He could go on like this for over 20 years! He was famous after a television performance about the mental illness of late Prince Claus, in 1992. Television seems to have that effect (see Jimmy Saville).
Just like all others born on October 24, 1945 (among them are a union leader and an artist) he has:
a. 'calling' Sun (he was 'a star' or a leader in the eyes of many)
b. Jupiter rising before the Sun (promising person, international)
c. Venus-Neptune for the romantic person with fine taste.
d. Mars tightly conjunct Saturn
Mars conjunct Saturn works like a pinch bar or a sledge hammer. Mars is fuel for the ambition of Saturn and together they go on and on and on, no matter what. There are famous persons with Mars conjunct Saturn. Paris Jackson, Ellen Degeneres and Al Gore are among them. So is Dutch Queen Beatrix, almost 75 and still doing her duty.
The neurosurgeon was forced to stop in my country. He went to Germany. He is 68 and hundreds of patients complained about him. But apparently it is important not to stop working. Mars conjunct Saturn is obligated to work on the career, whatever happens. And whoever gets hurt? The combination of the two pictures in this story is the combination of fine work performed with a brutal instrument, just like the delicate work of a neurosurgeon was done.
Soon the progressed Sun of the surgeon will be quindecile his Saturn. Let's hope that he finally retires.

PREDICTING WINNERS AND LOSERS WITH ASTROLOGY:
Democrats or Republicans?
Months ago, when John McCain was supposed to be born at 9:00 a.m. and when we did not know the HOB of Obama, in the time that the candidate VP's were unknown even...; I had the idea that McCain could be the winner of the USA Elections 2008. His positive solar return (Jupiter on MC) and the present polls could contribute to that idea again, right now. Why have I changed my mind? Was I influenced by the Obama-hype or was it astrology that made me think? And... why would I tell you about it?
The wrong speculations about Kerry/Bush and the laughter of the skeptics in mind (astrology as a source of pleasure:), I won't risk to name the winner. I simply show my observations and I will ask you if you see what I see. I don't have the pretensions to KNOW the results of the elections. I am showing the methods that can be used to predict the results and how to interpret them. I will mention what is difficult about it, too. May my considerations be of use to those who want to learn from it, even if or because I am wrong. Follow me on the way to find the moment of truth - (s)election day - and the observations for that moment.
MOMENT OF TRUTH: EH...WHAT DAY IS RESULT DAY?
Predicting the winner in the USA Elections is not easy. First of all not, because we don't know when the results of the elections will be available. Didn't it last weeks in 2000 and how long did it take until Al Gore knew that he wouldn't be the president? (I cannot find any data on the internet, but I am sure they did not know the results on Election Day and if 'we' knew, when did they hear it?)
So how can a candidate be happy or not on November 4?
Maybe that is why a lot of astrologers prefer to look at the chart of inauguration day to see the transits. But although that can be a day of celebrations, they already KNOW that they made it, weeks before. So I have taken a look at the progressed charts and the transits for November - January. P=Progressed N=natal and I use only tight aspects. Most of these aspects stand or fall with an HOB, exception the italic ones. And then what do we see?
OBSERVATIONS: THE ASPECTS THAT WE ARE CERTAIN OF...
On Election Day (when there are only exit polls) the only sure aspects are the transits of Saturn and Neptune on Sun and Mars of Palin with the sextile of Jupiter on the Progressed Sun of McCain. McCain has Venus trine progressed Sun on Inauguration Day and Palin has Mercury-Mercury.
None of the Democrats have reliable transits or progression that count even if their HOB is wrong. Only when the HOB's are correct, there is an advantage for the Democrats.
On Inauguration Day Obama has T Jupiter trine N Moon and Biden has Jupiter and Uranus in smooth aspects with the corner stones of his chart, MC and ASC.
All McCain's chart offers is T Venus trine Progressed Sun, but that is a good transit, too, and valid even without HOB.
THE FINAL MOMENT OF THE MATCH ON ELECTION DAY the final moment of the Elections is 20 hours in Washington. I used the final moments of football matches to see how the match with the trainer of the team was in order to predict the winner or loser. It proofed to be a good method (see labels sports). And I decided to use the same method for the elections, even though there is a great difference: they can only rely on exit polls at that moment! I still like to give this method a try, because we may not be certain about the HOB's of the candidates, but we KNOW the moment that the votes can be counted.

FINDINGS
At this point of my story I am certain that all the skeptics have fallen asleep (you too?) So I am about to reveal my findings. Do you agree that we see a little more luck in the charts of the Democrats?
The Democrats have the most pleasant aspects in the period that matters most (when observing of the effect of the elections is concerned, I mean). That is the period between Election Day and Inauguration Day. McCain has Saturn opposition Saturn in that period.
If McCain wins (why not?) I will have a hard time studying why. Isn't Jupiter the symbol of success, even in politics, I would ask myself? Jupiter is aspecting the charts of the Democrats more frequently. So it seems obvious that they will win. They may not know the results on Election Day (only exit polls) but the Democrats might FEEL being a winner. Astrology is a language with few words that can be attributed to a lot of meanings. Still Saturn in a game, a match or a political sruggle is supposed to be less fortunate than Jupiter is. But please, see the disclaimer...
Disclaimer: Saturn might just point at physical problems (being tired...) and Jupiter might be pointing at the start of a well deserved vacation!
0) One might wonder why practically no one was able to predict the second term of George W. Bush, so take this with a lot of salt (as we say over here:) I can’t add enough disclaimers! As I said, anything might happen and they are all good candidates, able to be a winner!
PS If anyone has the moment and the day of the final results of the former elections, I would be pleased. The transits of those days could be applied to the charts of the winners/losers to see if THOSE days gave a clear picture.

I will be back on this topic later!
PS dated September 11, 2008:
On Planetlines I found an interesting study about transits with the Sun and winning or losing elections! Ken Irving found that to become a president a candidate needs a Ptolemaic aspect of Saturn with the Sun.... The only problem is, that neither Obama nor McCain will have a transit or progression of Saturn with the natal Sun:( any more. I guess that promisses exceptional elections...However, McCain HAD that transit.
Sarah Palin has transit Saturn inconjunct Sun in that period and that is a minor aspect.
And BTW, following the rules of Irving, it is a good thing that Hillary Clinton did not become a VP, since she will have transit Jupiter square Sun just before Inauguration Day...Jupiter does not seem to be of help to be succesful at all (so Nobama) and Neptune should mean scandall and not winning (Sarah Palin...), while Saturn at the beginning of the election period (even a conjunction or square) will mean that this person is gonna win (and McCain had that!).
Very interesting stuff, mind provoking, highly recommended!

Effect of the inconjunction
Inconjunctions tell us to have to give up on something because there is no balance. Or about losing balance because you lost something. Sometimes inconjunctions represent the 'but' in a story. LIke in the match Gemany-Turkye. The Midheaven of the final moment of Germany-Turkye (football match in June 2008) was inconjunct the natal Sun of Ugur Boral, symbolizing lost (although he was the star of the match). With more inconjunctions and together with more hard transits the inconjunction symbolizes lost, like in the chart of Obama when he lost his grandma. When Barack Obama's grandma died, Saturn was inconjunct his Ascendant, Uranus was inconjunct Descendant and Pluto was inconjunct the IC. (Saturn and Uranus were 105 and 75 degrees away from the natal Moon in the 4th house, too, BTW).
When Saturn and Neptune are involved, too, illnesses are almost inevitable. The inconjunction is the kind of aspect that requires to be accepted. Sometimes you just have to learn to live with the theme that is reflected by the planets making a 150 degree aspect or accept the consequences of that specific subject in your life. The effect is always disproportional. Take for example Jupiter inconjunct Uranus. This aspect is tight in the chart of Mrs. Schavio. The theme is ´Thank God, but...´. Jupiter rules her 8th house of life and death, Uranus is in the 4th of endings. Yes, she stayed alive, but...in coma.
Another example of Saturn-Neptune and inconjunction is Mrc. Ballesteros. Mr. Ballesteros was taken to hospital. For his condition we see that in the last year, the progressed Midheaven was inconjunct Neptune (placed down under in the chart). Transit Saturn is disposing of the 6th house and about to make an inconjunction with the natal Sun, after being square to Mars (ruler of the Sun). It is easy to see the present pattern of illness(Saturn-Neptune). And the inconjunction that these planets make.
MORE EXAMPLES
The transit inconjunction was apparent in the chart of John Travolta when his son died (transit Venus in natal eight house inconjunct ASC), together with squares and semi squares from Neptune (ruler 8th house) and Saturn.
We see transit Uranus inconjunct the Ascendant of Paula Abdul when she found a stalking fan dead in his car, in front of her house. Transit Neptune was inconjunct MC and Jupiter square Ascendant (note that Jupiter+Neptune relates to 'fans and followers'). Her progressed Sun was inconjunct Jupiter and Jupiter inconjunct progressed Mars. There were 3 inconjunctions at the time for an incident or shock (Uranus), a sad event (Neptune) but it also stopped an unpleasant episode of stalking and that is why Jupiter is involved.
Guillaume Depardieu, son of a famous father (Gerard), born with a 'calling' Saturn and an actor like his father, died on a day that the transit Sun was inconjunct Saturn and transit Saturn was inconjunct his Natal Sun. That is a double statement for a bad day and bad health. The inconjunction shows the risk of losing your life. Time of birth is unknown.
Father and son Depardieu shared Mercury inconjunct Neptune (the aspect that you see in the chart of Friedman). It may be a good aspect for actors, but in real life it easily leads to miscommunications. Father and son had problems communicating with each other.
Natal Sun is inconjunct Saturn in the charts of Patti Smith and Berti Vogts. She lost a brother and a husband. He lost his parents at age 12.
The death of Joe Biden's first wife is reflected by Moon ruler 8th house of life and death inconjunct Neptune, ruler 4th house of endings. It is the narrowest aspect in his chart.
On September 8, 2008 a poll announced that McCain was winning and Obama started losing votes. That was on a day that transit Jupiter was exactly inconjunct the Sun of Obama. He had to let go of the advantage that he had (but not for long:).
Rui Costa ended his career as a sportsman being exhausted. Transit Pluto was inconjunct Mars for losing energy after abusing forces.
Sourav Ganguly had transit Jupiter inconjunct his natal Sun when he had to 'retire'.
Mitt Romney stopped the race as a candidate for the Republican Party in early February last year with Transit Saturn inconjunct his natal Midheaven and transit Jupiter inconjunct Pluto.
Hugh Hefner's tightest aspect is Mars inconjunct Pluto, symbolizing no balance (inconjunct) use (Mars) or abuse (Mars) of Pluto-matters like money, power, influence, politics, and potency or sexuality. It seems better to have a natal Mars-Pluto inconjunction, than a transit of Pluto inconjunct Mars.
Casanova had a 'calling' Mars quindecile Pluto, opposition Aries Point and inconjunct the ASC: a perfect description of a sexually/aggressively obsessed person without balanced behavior in that matter.
Neptune rules the eight house of Dr. Edgar Mitchell and rises before his Sun. With transit Neptune inconjunct Sun he had a bad press in July 2008, when he told the world that he believes in aliens (who visited earth).
Lately I posted about Mercury-Saturn related to science. In the post about Al Gore I write about Mercury inconjunct Saturn in his chart as reflecting 'doom theories', scientific opinions without balance. I can only hope that that is a convenient truth!:)
