Jeremy Corbyn, 2020 and astrology

Jeremy Corbyn is the new leader of Labour and he is an old style socialist, grown in the belly of the unions. There are plenty of messages on the internet about his sympathies and opinions. He has strong friends and ditto enemies in his own party, so he is a controversial persion. How nice would it be, for the astrologer, if he had a Sun-Uranus aspect…but he has not. What he does have, is a Uranus semi square Pluto aspect that is likely to have been activated in the past 4 years of Uranus square Pluto (see this link: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2013/08/resonance-of-uranus-pluto-and-jupiter.html )

CHART DAY OF BIRTH

Air, no water, Sun Gemini/Moon Taurus

The chart of the day of birth of Jeremy Corbyn is not so extraordinary. What is missing in the chart, are placements in water signs. There are a lot of placements in air signs (Gemini, Virgo, Aquarius).That is an important characteristic. In my article about not aspected planets, and missing placements in elements (http://www.astromarkt.net/astrology_to_study-html/unaspected-planets-and-missing-elements-html/ ) you may read this about having no planets in water signs (Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces):

No water:This calls for looking for emotions and the feeling to ‘belong’. This person is sometimes sentimental, other times without much empathy.

There isn’t much ‘control’ of sentiments. He is ‘all air’, talkative, communicative and reasoning. That is what he does best.

As his hour of birth is a big question mark, I can’t see if the Moon or Mars is the first to rise before the Sun on the day of his birth. The Moon would indicate involvement, the party-member. Mars would be for the activist. And the conjunction rising before the Sun would make him long for action.

Now we have a communicative person with a desire to ‘belong’ to a family or party somehow, anyhow, and with a need for action. The Moon in Taurus explains the Marxism (Taurus focuses on material things), the Gemini Sun makes him communicate about it. 

BORN SAME DAY AS...

Now Jeremy Corbyn has an astro-Twin,  Scottish Mrs McGuire, also Labour party member, born on the same day and in the same year. She wanted to be able to speak freely on the subject of disabilities. Unlike Mr. Corbyn, she is an extreme loyalist (!). So what position in the natal chart could show the tendency to vote against the party’s wishes? Uranus (controversy) or Eris (discord) must be important.

CONTROVERSY

As he is a controversial person, elected on a ‘Sun inconjunct Uranus-day’ (a day with a enormous surprise) and because Uranus doesn’t make any aspects with Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars (surprisingly) I suppose that Uranus has a corner position in the chart (either on the horizon or on the meridian). And the party communicator…the journalist, too, are in the chart, but where is the leader in the chart? 

TIME OF BIRTH?

Warning: what follows is all speculation!

A birth time of 23 hours would place the Sun in the 5^th house (for leadership) and bring Uranus on the Descendant, in the 7th house, still in Gemini in the final degree*). Meanwhile, the Sun/Moon midpoint is semi square Saturn, to illustrate ambition and the motivation to be a manager. This also motivates him to be careful with other people's money (Saturn in 8). But OK, his real time of birth is unknown...

On September 12, 2015, the day that he became Labour’s leader:

- transit Jupiter would be trine progressed Midheaven (a key indication for success) with 

- the progressed Moon on natal MC, 

- Moon-MC quindecile transit Uranus for the emotional excitement because of an unbalancing surprise.

Let me give it a try for the exact (or almost exact) aspects for that day, without time of birth…

- Transit Neptune inconjunct progressed Sun

- Transit Saturn square Saturn and inconjunct Uranus

- Transit Jupiter conjunct progressed Venus

Doesn’t sound like a victory at all… except for the Venus-Jupiter joy (and he married in 2015). It takes a time of birth to see if the Moon, MC and Ascendant mirror yesterday's election.

GENERAL ELECTION 2020

On the day of the next General Election in 2020, May 7… does his chart show a winner?

Jupiter will be quindecile the progressed Sun (strong focus or obsession with success) before May 7, while transit Pholus inconjunct the Sun seems to indicate that he shot his own foot (a turning point in life with a loss involved – maybe just lost life style). That doesn’t offer much insight, does it?

But Transit Jupiter would be square Ascendant, inconjunct natal descendant, however, if he was born at 11 pm. Maybe because he didn’t win, maybe because that is when the progressed Sun conjunct natal Pluto makes him face problems. His life style will change due to politics and stress

Perhaps it helps you to know that while the natal Moon is in bounds (20^th degree) his Progressed Moon is Out of Bounds and on top level in 2020, but about to decline and going down in May. His best years are coming, still. But they will be over in/after 2020.

CAMERON 2020

Will David Cameron be his opponent then? Let’s see about David Cameron’s positions on May 7, 2020.

-       Pluto opposition progressed Moon and

-       Pluto semi square progressed Sun,

-       Transit Saturn trine Ascendant and

-       Progressed Moon trine Saturn

-       Transit Saturn inconjunct Midheaven

-       His OOB Progressed Moon went ‘down’ in 2019

Predicting is difficult, especially when it is about the futureJ. But Saturn inconjunct MC is pretty bad in election time. However, times are changing all the time. Maybe in 2020 both mr. Corbyn and mr. Cameron have left the stages for other reasons.

*) Gemini is a double bodied sign and on the 7th house cusp this sign might signal more than 1 marriage. Uranus is a disruptive symbol that doesn't stand for continuity in the house of relationships. He married 3 times, and 2 times with someone not born in the UK.

Zero degree declination (Progressed) Moon

Did you know that Dominique Strauss Kahn and Bill Cosby share a Moon declination in the 1st degree, close to point Zero? Dominique Strauss Kahn later had a progressed Moon out of bounds, while the progressed Moon of Cosby remaind in bounds. What could the difference be between molesting ladies WITH or WITHOUT a progressed Moon OOB? This?

Molesting females WITH OOB Progressed Moon makes you lose your wife and reputation because you are beyond your limits.

Molesting females WITHOUT OOB Progressed Moon means that you can go and and on....because the community protects you.

When you were born with the Moon in the 1st degree of declination, would haat mean that your OOB Progressed Moon brings you in a danger zone? Or would it mean that the theme of how to deal with women will be prominent? Is the 1ste degree of declination the lowest for behaviour? Of course, there is more than just that declination, and we shouldn't generalize, but still: I find the fact that they both have that Zero degree Moon very interesting.

But now this one: the declination of the progressed Moon of Máxima Zorreguieta (now wife of the King of the Netherlands)... When the Dutch Queen got engaged and married the progressed Moon (going to be OOB later) would be at a very low point in the graph (although in 2002 - year of the marriage - the progressed Moon got higher again). In her natal chart, the Moon is In Bounds and in the 12th South. I think that there is something uncontrollable about the progressed Moon at Zero degrees declination. I think that, because her life was dominated by the public's opinion, the media and politics and that - at that point - lost her independence. 

Could it just be, that the Zero Degreee Declination of the Moon refers to a critical and not so controllable point?

Progressed Moon Out of Bounds: special periods?

Does the Out of Bounds declination of the progressed Moon signify a period of successes or is the OOB progressed Moon a risk? To answer this question I looked at the charts of Lance Armstrong, Dominique Strauss Kahn, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, JK Rowling and Jean-Marie le Pen. I came to the conclusion that the four years before reaching the highest degree, the progressed Out of Bounds Moon signals an exceptional period of growth (and alienation), while the first time after reaching the top position, there seems to be a danger of decay.

When the progressed Moon was OOB and reaches the lowest position later, there is a period of drawing back (a pause).

You can find the declinations of the Progressed Moon in the Special Charts of Astro.com (select Ebertin Life Diagram Progressed Declination). A position is Out of Bounds when it reaches a declination degree of  23° 26' 14.675″ (23° 26′ 16″) north of the Equator or  23° 26' 14.440 South.

My examples are:

1. LANCE ARMSTRONG

Lance Armstrong had a very successful period after his illness and later he lost it all…Progressions and transits cooperated with the declination of the progressed Moon.

-       In October of 1996 he found out that he had cancer. This was with progressed Moon on 14d36N, almost parallel Pluto. From that moment on the Moon moved to zero degrees in 1999.

-       The Moon moved upwards later, and in 2002 the progressed Moon was again parallel Pluto.

-       Between 2005 and 2008 there was a progressed OOB Moon S. In 2006/2007 the progressed Moon reached the highest level. That was when he quit biking and had had good years (think of Livestrong). In 2008 he had his comeback.

-       In 2012,when he was 40, the progressed Moon had again become parallel with Pluto and the ‘demasqué’ began. He lost all his titels.

Apparently the Moon-Pluto parallel mirrors extreme experiences and the OOB Moon S mirror his best years (but, ….only for outsiders). If life would repeat itself, then from 2017 on better days are coming for Armstrong.

In the 4 years before reaching the top level of the OOB Moon (2002-2006) he was popular, rich and happy as far as we could see.

2. DSK

Dominique Strauss Kahn had a very high and powerful position between 2007 and 2011. The Moon moved ‘up’ since 2007. Between2009 and 2014 the progressed Moon was OOB. On the day of his arrest in 2011 the progressed Moon in the 6^th degree of Cancer (28d8N) moved down again and right now, the progressed Moon is ‘in bounds’ again. Just like in the Lance Armstrong case, the 4 years before the top level of declination of the progressed Moon seem to the most prosperous of them all.

3. HILLARY

Hillary Clinton wants to be the next president in 2016. That is when her progressed Moon is at a low degree of declination, South. During the Lewinsky affair, when she was First Lady, she had the OOB progressed Moon on a high degree South.

It is still uncertain if she will ever have such a position again. But the transits and progressions of November 2016 are:

1.    Transit Jupiter square midpoint Sun/Moon

2.    Transit Jupiter square progressed Sun

3.   Progressed Sun conjunct natal Sun/Mooon

4.   Transit Jupiter square her Mercury

5.   Progressed Sun conjunct Mercury

3x Jupiter, the planet of successes.

So we will have to wait and see who wins: Jupiter or the declination of the progressed Moon.

4. TRUMP

Donald Trump’s progressed Moon is OOB and will be over the top in November 2016. Some of his party members think he is over the top already:). Meanwhile, he is doing well in the polls.

  

5. JK ROWLING

J.K. Rowling invented Harry Potter in 1990. In 1997, 4 years before the top level of the OOB progressed Moon, she found a publisher.  (Note: don’t use the ASC and MC positions as this is a guess chart).

6. LE PEN

Jean-Marie le Pen was thrown out of his own party now that the progressed Moon is close to zero degrees in declination.

7. JFK

John F. Kennedy was murdered on  November 22, 1963. That was when the progressed OOB Moon was not yet at the highest possible level, but in the 25th degree (he was born with a Moon in the 1^ste degree N). So, he was in his best years when someone ended his life suddenly, with transit Uranus conjunct progressed Midheaven.

! Many VIPs never had an OOB Moon (like Bono, Bill Cosby, Cliff Richard) and ever so many unknown people DO have OOB Progressed Moons.

8. MORE EXAMPLES

Read the story of Kurt Cobain, who died only 4 months after the moment that the progressed OOB Moon reached a 27d48 top level.

CONCLUSION

Progressed Moon OOB can represent a temporary top level that may be lost when the Moon goes on her way down again, especially when difficult aspects in the progressed chart, by transit or in the natal chart indicate this possibility. Every progressed OOB Moon seems to lift your social level with a number of risks. But don’t you worry: you can rise high and fall deep without an OOB Moon as wellJ! The progressed Moon OOB is one of more indications that it takes to mirror a special period and has to be considered with the circumstances and the natal and progressed chart in mind.  The positive side of the progressed Moon OOB is the chance to reach above yourself and your situation. The negative side is alienation. The astronaut in space is a nice example of that.

The 4 years before the top level of the OOB Moon seem to be the best social years, while the 1ste year after is the most vulnerable year. DSK was arrested, Kurt Cobain died, JK Rowling wrote on and on until the Moon was at almost zero degrees. Then she paused…

The progressed OOB Moon is not in control. John F. Kennedy died in the best years of his life. Maybe because he went ‘too far’ in the eyes of his enemies?

And how about Jean-Marie le Pen’s zero degree Progressed Moon? Maybe that is food for the next post!

Declinations (parallel/contra parallel)

This is a sort of a follow up on declinations. I wrote about Out of Bounds positions earlier (http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2014/01/out-of-bounds.html ). There I explained what declination and OOB is. Now I want to brainstorm a bit about parallel and contra parallel aspects. How to find these aspects? Well, go to Astro.com, select the Additional Tables. Every Sun, Moon, MC, Ascendant and planet has a declination degree, minute and second and a position S (South) or N (North). Use a 16' orb and try to find those positions that come close (for example 23d50m10sN and 24d02m06sN) or those positions in contra parallel (like 23d50m10sS and 24d02m06sN). Is there any contra parallel in your chart, than ask yourself: am I aware that this aspect is important for me? I think that contra parallels are not so obvious as parallels are, just like they are not so obvious from the point of view of one of the objects. But first I want to show you some examples.

On August 4, 1961 POTUS Barack Obama was born. On the same day, in my country, two persons were born who make their living by means of communications. That day, there was a beautiful parallel combination in the sky: Mercury 20gr41m48s N, Jupiter 20gr35m24N and Pluto 20gr34m1sN. Mercury, Jupiter and Pluto made 'common aspects, too: Mercury opposite Jupiter and quintile Pluto. So, there is a double combination to indicate a big amount of words, success by communications and the possibility of earning money singing, writing, negotiating or speaking. The declination aspects support the usual aspects. Obama, as an extra, has Moon parallel Descendant AND trine Jupiter for popularity. That made me think about other American top politicians. Did they have such parallel, too? And how about others?

1. Hillary Clinton’s probable Descendant is parallel Mars 

2. Bill Clinton has Mars parallel Ascendant (Hillary and Bill mirroring each other!) and a parallel conjunction of Uranus, Pluto and MC. Jupiter is parallel Chiron.

3. George W. Bush: Uranus parallel Node.

4. John F. Kennedy had Venus parallel Southern Node and MC parallel Saturn (plus Saturn conjunct MC). 

5. Amanda Knox: Sun contra parallel Neptune in the 8th house of life and death

6. Bill Cosby: Sun contra parallel Jupiter 
7. Dominique Strauss Kahn: Jupiter parallel Descendant; Sun, Mars and Saturn parallel 

8. Tour de France biker Joop Zoetemelk: Jupiter parallel MC and Uranus + Pluto parallel Ascendant. Jupiter, Pluto and Uranus have key positions in the chart, too.

This mix makes you see that it is not easy to find the meaning of parallel and contraparallel aspects in a way that it shows you the person's life or career. Cafe Astrology tried to interpret the parallels (and contra parallels as well) (http://www.cafeastrology.com/natal/declinationsparallels.html ). Most sites and books say that a parallel is like a conjunction and a contra parallel is like an opposition. Is it? I think that the parallel and contra parallel (not conscious) aspects support the existing most important aspects and placements, for good or bad. And I keep thinking. For example about my own Sun/MC trine Pluto, with Sun parallel Midheaven and both contra parallel Pluto, in combination with Moon contra parallel Uranus. Usually Pluto is considered to be a difficult symbol. But now that we know that icy Pluto has a big heart, could we see Pluto as a courageous, brave and defending symbol too? That is according the sign that Pluto 'rules': Scorpio, a water sign. Pluto has fluid, Pluto has ice, Pluto is warm inside... Maybe after the progressed Mars inconjunct Pluto that is exact in my chart next week, I will let you know...

Out of bounds

We use to use right ascension when we read charts. Very few computer programs or books inform us about declination, parallel and contra-parallel aspects. Even less speak of 'Out of bounds'. I recently started to have a look at 'OOB's' and like to share my findings here.

You know that the Sun moves between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. In high summer, on June 21, the Sun is at  23° 26' 14.675″ (23° 26′ 16″) north of the Equator at noon in the astrological sign Cancer (and on the tropic of Cancer). In winter, on December 21, the Sun will be on the Southern tropic (the Tropic of Capricorn) at noon. The latitude for the Tropic of Capricorn is 23° 26' 14.440. 

Planets, Sun or Moon can be at the same latitude (parallel) or at the point far away on the other side of the equinox (contra-parallel). A Sun at 10d North is contra-parallel the Moon at 10d South, for example. 

The parallel aspect means: being on the same level. The contra-parallel means: being on different levels. Some astrologers say that the parallel aspect may be seen as a conjunction and the contra-parallel aspect as an opposition. 

Now, what is Out of Bounds

Sometimes the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Uranus and Pluto or on a degree of declination where the Sun will never be. That is when they are out of bounds. A Moon at 28d25m is out of bounds. A Mercury at 24d05m is out of bounds. Jupiter is rarely out of bounds (and just a little tiny bit). Saturn and Neptune are never out of bounds. 

Who has OOBs?

Some of us have none. Some of us have 1. Some of us have a few OOBs. 

What does it mean to have an OOB?

OOB positions make the planet or Moon as special as a 'calling' planet (a planet with no aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees). They draw attention. With Moon it is your behavior, with Mercury your way to communicate, with Venus your style or preferences, with Mars your drive and energy (like in the chart of Usain Bolt) and with Uranus you are perhaps a bit eccentric. The OOB Pluto can be the symbol of fanatism. 

Right now, Transit Mercury is out of bounds. This OOB Mercury just hit my Pluto (inconjunct aspect) and the result was a blooper. Thank you OOB Mercury!:) 

I happen to have 3 OOBs (Mercury, Venus and Uranus). I have a parallel aspect and a contra parallel, too. In 2014 I will pay special attention to declinations, parallel and contra parallel aspects and of course the out of the box, out of line OOBs.
