Jeremy Corbyn, 2020 and astrology

Jeremy Corbyn is the new leader of Labour and he is an old style socialist, grown in the belly of the unions. There are plenty of messages on the internet about his sympathies and opinions. He has strong friends and ditto enemies in his own party, so he is a controversial persion. How nice would it be, for the astrologer, if he had a Sun-Uranus aspect…but he has not. What he does have, is a Uranus semi square Pluto aspect that is likely to have been activated in the past 4 years of Uranus square Pluto (see this link: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2013/08/resonance-of-uranus-pluto-and-jupiter.html )

CHART DAY OF BIRTH

Air, no water, Sun Gemini/Moon Taurus

The chart of the day of birth of Jeremy Corbyn is not so extraordinary. What is missing in the chart, are placements in water signs. There are a lot of placements in air signs (Gemini, Virgo, Aquarius).That is an important characteristic. In my article about not aspected planets, and missing placements in elements (http://www.astromarkt.net/astrology_to_study-html/unaspected-planets-and-missing-elements-html/ ) you may read this about having no planets in water signs (Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces):

No water:This calls for looking for emotions and the feeling to ‘belong’. This person is sometimes sentimental, other times without much empathy.

There isn’t much ‘control’ of sentiments. He is ‘all air’, talkative, communicative and reasoning. That is what he does best.

As his hour of birth is a big question mark, I can’t see if the Moon or Mars is the first to rise before the Sun on the day of his birth. The Moon would indicate involvement, the party-member. Mars would be for the activist. And the conjunction rising before the Sun would make him long for action.

Now we have a communicative person with a desire to ‘belong’ to a family or party somehow, anyhow, and with a need for action. The Moon in Taurus explains the Marxism (Taurus focuses on material things), the Gemini Sun makes him communicate about it. 

BORN SAME DAY AS...

Now Jeremy Corbyn has an astro-Twin,  Scottish Mrs McGuire, also Labour party member, born on the same day and in the same year. She wanted to be able to speak freely on the subject of disabilities. Unlike Mr. Corbyn, she is an extreme loyalist (!). So what position in the natal chart could show the tendency to vote against the party’s wishes? Uranus (controversy) or Eris (discord) must be important.

CONTROVERSY

As he is a controversial person, elected on a ‘Sun inconjunct Uranus-day’ (a day with a enormous surprise) and because Uranus doesn’t make any aspects with Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars (surprisingly) I suppose that Uranus has a corner position in the chart (either on the horizon or on the meridian). And the party communicator…the journalist, too, are in the chart, but where is the leader in the chart? 

TIME OF BIRTH?

Warning: what follows is all speculation!

A birth time of 23 hours would place the Sun in the 5^th house (for leadership) and bring Uranus on the Descendant, in the 7th house, still in Gemini in the final degree*). Meanwhile, the Sun/Moon midpoint is semi square Saturn, to illustrate ambition and the motivation to be a manager. This also motivates him to be careful with other people's money (Saturn in 8). But OK, his real time of birth is unknown...

On September 12, 2015, the day that he became Labour’s leader:

- transit Jupiter would be trine progressed Midheaven (a key indication for success) with 

- the progressed Moon on natal MC, 

- Moon-MC quindecile transit Uranus for the emotional excitement because of an unbalancing surprise.

Let me give it a try for the exact (or almost exact) aspects for that day, without time of birth…

- Transit Neptune inconjunct progressed Sun

- Transit Saturn square Saturn and inconjunct Uranus

- Transit Jupiter conjunct progressed Venus

Doesn’t sound like a victory at all… except for the Venus-Jupiter joy (and he married in 2015). It takes a time of birth to see if the Moon, MC and Ascendant mirror yesterday's election.

GENERAL ELECTION 2020

On the day of the next General Election in 2020, May 7… does his chart show a winner?

Jupiter will be quindecile the progressed Sun (strong focus or obsession with success) before May 7, while transit Pholus inconjunct the Sun seems to indicate that he shot his own foot (a turning point in life with a loss involved – maybe just lost life style). That doesn’t offer much insight, does it?

But Transit Jupiter would be square Ascendant, inconjunct natal descendant, however, if he was born at 11 pm. Maybe because he didn’t win, maybe because that is when the progressed Sun conjunct natal Pluto makes him face problems. His life style will change due to politics and stress

Perhaps it helps you to know that while the natal Moon is in bounds (20^th degree) his Progressed Moon is Out of Bounds and on top level in 2020, but about to decline and going down in May. His best years are coming, still. But they will be over in/after 2020.

CAMERON 2020

Will David Cameron be his opponent then? Let’s see about David Cameron’s positions on May 7, 2020.

-       Pluto opposition progressed Moon and

-       Pluto semi square progressed Sun,

-       Transit Saturn trine Ascendant and

-       Progressed Moon trine Saturn

Predicting is difficult, especially when it is about the futureJ. But Saturn inconjunct MC is pretty bad in election time. However, times are changing all the time. Maybe in 2020 both mr. Corbyn and mr. Cameron have left the stages for other reasons.

*) Gemini is a double bodied sign and on the 7th house cusp this sign might signal more than 1 marriage. Uranus is a disruptive symbol that doesn't stand for continuity in the house of relationships. He married 3 times, and 2 times with someone not born in the UK.

100% positive Bogus

Recent media news about astrology drew my attention these days. Here are the articles:

It sounds very positive about astrology and in fact, it is! That is because millions of people don't know much about astrology at all and just remember that a scientist found that astrology is not bogus. In fact, large parts of the articles show that either the scientist or the journalist don't know much about astrology at all. 

One of the stories are about a water season in astrology. It says that December-March are in the 'Water Season' and Water is creativity in astrology. Oh really? Another part of the story is that in uneven month you'd be more extravert! Months and signs don't correspond, water is related to the water signs Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces and calendar month numbers are more related to numerology than astrology. So, there is something wrong about the articles (and maybe about the analysis, too, I don't know). 

Nevertheless, thanks to the scientist who may be in trouble now, because in his world it is not 'done' to refer to astrology at all. Maybe he didn't, in fact (and it were the journalist). Never mind! It is a positive story about astrology and that is far better than the ones we had last year. Only astrologers will know that it is partly bogus. 

PS Is there any scientific explanation for the fact that Mr. Bogus was produced by a company names Zodiac Entertainments? LOL

Sweet Pisces?

Pisces is often regarded as the sign of sweet romance, fancy dreams, ideals and self sacrifice. I see Pisces (especially MC, Venus or Moon in Pisces) in the charts of artists, too (see Art&Astrology). There are probably millions of nice Pisces. Most signs have more than 80% nice folks, I bet! That is also true for Pisces. But when those born under Pisces drift away in nasty fantasy or destructive ideologies, beware! The Sun is moving to Aries now. Time for a look at the edge of Pisces.

Here are 3 Pisces who weren't soft at all. Pisces is also the sign of enslavement and drugs, of victimizing and 'letting go'. On the edge of Zero Aries, I show a few bad Pisces. They acted like sharks.

1. JOSEF MENGELE
The chart of Josef Mengele (sadistic doctor in Auschwitz) is an example of that. The 'harmonious' sextiles and trines didn't help his victims. What is in that chart that made him so cruel? Why didn't he have a heart?

Mengele is a Pisces with Libra Moon inconjunct the Pisces MC.  Venus is square Neptune. It is a kind of a pattern of artistic talent like the ones that can be observed on my blog Art&Astrology. In 1943, when he entered Auschwitz, transit Neptune was trine his Progressed Venus. Venus trine Neptune (romance, affairs and artistic visions): it's such a contrast given the situation!

Meanwhile transit Pluto was about to conjoin his progressed Ascendant. He had a motor accident and fever soon after his transfer to the horrific place where he was given free hand in medical tests with (for example) twins.

This man choose to become what can be seen in the chart if you read it in the darkest sense. H was a fanatic (Sun square Pluto) activist (Mars rises before the Sun!),  follower (MC and Sun Pisces) of the Nazi ideas. With Sun conjunct Eris he lived amid and with discord; in fact, he joined it.
He studies to be a doctor (Chiron in the 9th house?) but he became a torturer in the end. In between he served in the army (Mars). But all the time he followed the road that suited him best, caring for his 'group' only. That is because of Mars-Saturn-Pluto and the calling Moon square AC and inconjunct MC.

What he became might be related to the position of the Moon and of Mars.
- Mars rises before the Sun, is in the 8th house of life and death, square Saturn and biquintile Pluto. The Mars-Saturn-Pluto combination often mirrors brutal force to achieve a goal. It is the combination that can be found in the charts of those who deal with the issue of unnatural death (of themselves or as a theme in life). Saturn is semi square the midpoint Mars/Pluto.
- Moon is in Libra, not making narrow major aspects. The Moon is inconjunct Midheaven and in the fourth house. When the Moon is 'calling' there can be emotions and 'feelings of
Quoting myself:

- Moon without aspects attrackts children. Everything related to children (education, care) will be highlighted. The Moon is of importance for memorising, like in history and when you play a certain role on stage, but also for cooks.- The other side of the calling Moon is that what you need is so important, that sometimes you are overruled by your needs. If this Moon rises before the Sun, the person involved will be lead by needs and emotions.

When the Moon is 'calling' habits and needs may take over. There can  be emotions and feelings of 'belonging to' at any possible level. This man didn't have compassion for those who didn't belong to his 'family' and 'group of people'. His 'calling Moon' was out of balance and he gave up on emotions (inconjunct Moon) for his goals (MC). He never felt sorry for what he did. He never had to pay for it. All that he had to give up was his country of birth (Moon inconjunct MC).
This unbalanced Moon ruled his Ascendant in Cancer. Cancer is a water sign and going with the flow in order to survive. The sextiles and trines made it easy for him to join the ones in charge. And the most prominent object in the chart (Moon, calling, ruler 1) was square Ascendant to make it hard to care for others.

Charts are to be seen in the context of history, social situation, gender and genes. This man was a doctor in Nazi times. He believed that he was the member of a supreme 'race' and that all that he did was justified by just that.

This was one example of a nasty Pisces.

II Joseph Edward Duncan III

Joseph Edward Duncan III was a serial killer, dressed  up like a clown. I wrote about him before, in 2008.

III John Wayne Gacy
I don't like clowns, ever since I was a kid, and I know that I am not the only. This clown, John Wayne Gacy, was a serial murderer who was executed in 1994. He was a Pisces, born March 17, 1942. Here is the chart for the period of his first murder. He had transit Jupiter trine progressed Sun: a signal of success. In his eyes, he was lucky. And he was, because he wasn't caught and could go on killing.

The tightest aspect is a minor aspect: Venus sesquisquare Neptune. Venus is also trine Jupiter (a very narrow trine!). The combination of these aspects seem to indicate false romance (like fairy tale marriages, a big success on screen). Mars sesquisquare Pholus is also rather tight (frustrating turning point in activities or fights or... sex).

If you read his chart with the usual analysis, this is what you get:

1. Uranus and Mars are angular: short fuse on the horizon
2. Neptune is the planet of orientation (an idealist, ideologist, believer, artist or... someone who doesn't fit in the real world)
3. Movable signs and Sun/Moon in Pisces*) don't explain the killings, only the 'double' world that he created. Sun/Moon is opposition Quaoar and Neptune, illustrating being motivated by strange new fantasy worlds.
A sick person was born with key position for sudden anger and a fantasy world in the natal chart...


SO...

Every sign has examples of heroes and criminals. Pisces is no exception. The keywords of Pisces are:
cooperation, empathy, go with the flow, sacrifice, secrecy, miracles, idealism, imagination, fake, informal, no limits

But 'no limits' isn't limited to love...

A long time ago I had the birth data of 3 persons who misbehaved during WWII in prisoner camps. Apart from Venus-Pluto aspects I found that they had an overdose of placements in the water signs Cancer and Pisces. Going with the flow, or letting go is not always a quality of nice persons. Pisces aren't always sweeties. To describe persons like the 3 examples above as 'unconditional loving persons' would be far from right. However, perhaps, they really really loved their pet, who knows.

Chart of Mr. Harold Camping's day of birth

Aren't we all happy that Harold Camping was wrong and we all were right about the End of the World? He is happy, too. At least, if you believe that transit Jupiter square Sun and inconjunct Venus is an astrological statement for extraordinary happiness...The fact that is was the wrong idea, that May 21 would be the last (or his lasts) is of minor importance. For that we see Saturn square natal Mercury and Neptune 105 d progressed Mercury. Also transit Pholus square Jupiter turns the happy tides. 

Wether he was right or wrong: he had success! His name is known all over the world. A woman tried to cut her daughters' throats just because mr. Harold Camping predicted the End of the World! What an influence! And what does the chart say about that? This is the chart of the day that Harold Camping was born. It was not 'just one day'. It was also the day of birth of a famous scientist, Rosalyn Sussman Yalow (link to Wiki). Perhaps it was a better day to be born as a scientist then to be than as a prophet...

WATER, MARS-SATURN-PHOLUS, URANUS-PLUTO

First of all: we don't know the hour of birth, unfortunately. So we don't know the degree of the Moon, Ascendant and Midheaven, or the midpoint Sun/Moon or AC?MC. We don't know the angular positions, either. But, we know a few things. He has, for example, the majority of placements in water signs and that makes him the kind of person to 'go with the flow' with a desire to 'be part of it' 'to belong' and ' to be a member' (of the Good ones, of course). 

There is also an applying narrow trine between Uranus and Pluto, the duo of Revolution. There must be (Pluto) change (Uranus) and the trine shows us how fluently this concept of dramatic change is being adapted in the world of mr. Camping (I like that name, I like to go to Campings!:) Then there is Saturn quintile Pluto: a creative die hard! He is not really beaten by the facts of life. Now that his prediction failed, he simply produces the next one! Saturn-Uranus with Pluto makes the dramatic change not a very pleasant one (in his eyes).

Transit Uranus inconjunct progressed Quaoar tells us about sudden new realities causing lack of balance. 

We know that the tightest growing aspect in his chart is Mars sextile Saturn. Mars-Saturn wants discipline and order. The End of the World would be a good way to discipline earth, wouldn't it?  And let's not forget the magic biquintile between Mars and Pholus: the creative fighter. Mars-Saturn with Pholus would make a hard turning point. Mars is the orientational planet: he is an activist (Mars) creating (biquintile) hard turning points. And he just did! Some of his followers learned not to believe so hard.

Mr. Camping's nature is to make propaganda (Mars orientational) and aspects of his character are 'the die hard', 'hard discipline' and 'the way out to dramatic change' represented by Saturn-Pluto, Mars-Saturn and Uranus trine Pluto. He could have tried to become a scientist, but for a number of reasons that we don't know he became a 'prophet'. No astrologer would expect him to predict heaven ever after with this kind of a chart and horoscope. (But I wonder why transit Jupiter provides such a self confidence (and perhaps support) after such a moment.)

Bias in a chart

Are you more objective or more biased? Do you have your preferences and do these preferences have negative consequences for those who are ‘not part of it’ or ‘not your kind of people’? Tsuyoshi Kusanagi's Ceres opposition Saturn

Tsuyoshi Kusanagi was arrested last Thursday for being drunk and naked in a park. He says he is very ashamed. Tsuyoshi Kusanagi is an actor and a member of the popular band SMAP. He also likes to be part of culinary programs on television and speaks Korean, fluently. I don't know his hour of birth. He was born July 9, 1974 and is now 34.

SATURN RISING BEFORE THE SUN
One of the comments coming from a journalist was very accurate. He said that he was surprised, because the artist always seemed so serious. And yes, he IS serious. On July 9, 1974 Saturn rises before his Sun. Those who are born on that day are first of all ambitious, neat, trying to be decent and proper like their parents told him to do. Or like the laws want them to.

URANUS 'CALLING'

But who can resist the call of Uranus?:) Uranus does not make any Ptolemaic aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees on July 9, 1974. And Uranus is the symbol of rebellion, upheavel and media hypes. He sure caused one! See YouTube about the media hype.


THE ISSUE OF RESTRICTED FREEDOM
Saturn and Uranus are both prominent and the conflict between restriction and independency is clear. The Sun is semi square the midpoint Saturn/Uranus. The combination of Saturn and Uranus reflects the theme of restricted freedom. It is an issue in his chart. Another journalist mentioned that he felt pity for the singer who's popularity made his life so difficult.

ALCOHOL
Notice that the Moon in Pisces is square Neptune. Sign and aspect are part of the astrological pattern of artistic talents. The aspect also symbolizes the need to escape (sometimes by means of drugs or alcohol). With the Sun in Cancer and Moon in Pisces the Moon and Neptune are the rulers of the lights.
50% of his positions are in water signs, the signs that 'go with the flow'.

SUCCESS
Another explanation for what happened is the combination of success made by Mars inconjunct Jupiter and semi square Pluto. The inconjunction shows the disproportionate success, the misbalance (to succeed, but...)

ARREST
There is no hour of birth available. Here is the chart for the moment of the arrest. Notice that the Ascendant (of the moment) was conjunct the Ceres of the popular artist, opposition Saturn. Progressed (retrograding) Jupiter was conjunct the Ascendant of the moment. It is food for thought. I had not heard of him before this happened. But now he is famous all over the world. I don't know if that helps him. Even a Japanese minister expressed his anger over the event.

SATURN-CERES
Culture and costumes (...sic) are a very important part of the reading of a chart. Ceres might be symbolizing the very important rites, roots and costumes of Japan. Dignitiy is also very important in Japan. But Ceres is also the symbol of 'Mother Nature'. So Saturn opposition Ceres is reflecting the question (opposition) of dignity (Saturn) and Mother Nature (Ceres).
The consequences might be rather disproportionate in my eyes. But in the eyes of the older generation of Japan the pop star lost his dignity. Perhaps that is another way to read Saturn opposition Ceres. He is also being payed by the government (Saturn!) and now he lost the job.

As Tsuyoshi Kusanagi loves culinary programs I think that Ceres (symbol of nutrition, too) is located on an important spot in the chart and is just as important as his oriental Saturn. That explanes why the transit and the event were so important. When the Ascendant was conjunct his Ceres (already in opposition with Saturn) the situation (Ascendant) was related to his nude act.

How long will your relationship last?

This post is about the effect of the elements and the length of a relationship. The composition of elements in your natal chart is one of the indications of how long you and a partner will be together. Of course there are other indications, too*). But the elements certainly have a big role to play.

Earth signs are the signs of realism and the wish to be respected. They are contributing to the length of relationships. Air signs are the signs of communications (and flirtations:). The fire signs are full of passion and the water signs are to be seduced (even though they like to belong to someone). The elements don't indicate if you will be faithful and true!:)

Capital signs take the initiative. The fixed signs hold on to what they have got. And the movable signs? They are not very stable.

Here are some famous examples:

Mel Gibson has 60% in fixed signs and that might be the reason why his marriage lasted more than 20 years.

Rihanna (20 February 1988) has Moon, Venus and Mars in fire signs, the signs of passion.
Chris Brown (5 May 1989) doesn't have any position in fire signs. He has Sun, Moon and Venus in Taurus, 60% in earth signs all together.

Dr. Robert Schuller (the television minister) has Moon, Venus and Mars in earth signs and that contributes to the length of his marriage.

Dutch Prince Bernhard (two daughters with two mistresses) had Venus and Mars in passionate fire signs. He did not divorce. He was a Cancer with 40% in watersigns.

His wife, Queen Juliana, had Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars in fixed signs. She knew about her husband's affairs and didn't divorce him after all.

John Kerry has Sun in Sagittarius, Moon and Mars in Gemini and Venus in Scorpio square Pluto. That is 3 times a flexible sign. He divorced and remarried a rich woman.

J.W. Jones, had Moon Venus and Mars in fire signs. Perhaps that explains the need for a lot of women.

John F. Kennedy had Sun and Venus in Gemini, Moon in Virgo (three times flexible signs) and he had Mars in Taurus. One woman was not enough for him.

Camille Parker Bowles waited all her life for the moment of her marriage (6 April 2005). She was the mistress of Prince Charles when they both were married. She has 50% in water signs.

Elisabeth Taylor has 50% in watersigns. She also has Gemini on the cusp of the 7th house of marriage. Gemini is an air sign and a double bodied sign. But that is another story. Read about that in the earlier post on this blog about multiple marriages and double bodied signs.

*) Strong indications for divorce are in the aspects between the 1st and 7th house and:
for women, afflictions between Sun-Mars, Sun-Uranus, Venus-Uranus or Mars-Saturn

Chart and progressions Enzo Ferrari

Today I saw a (romantic) documentary about the life of Enzo Ferrari, born 18 February 1898 (official date 20 February, but that was because it took his father 2 days to announce his birth) It was at 3 a.m. in beautiful Modena, Italy, the place were the Ferrari factory still is. He built the most beautiful car in the world. His chart is showing the successes and the bad moments in his life…

YOUTH
His youth wasn’t a happy one. His parents preferred his elderly brother. This is very typical of Saturn on the Ascendant. It is as if from the very start you had a disadvantage or a handicap. But there is another side of it and that is that he was a very serious and ambitious person and rather reserved himself. The picture in the chart shows him with dark glasses on and they seem to have been on very often. He did not like to show his feelings. There are several indications for hiding feelings: Moon in Capricorn (calling!), Saturn on the Ascendant and Neptune opposition Ascendant. In the documentary they make him say that the fact that he did not show emotions did not mean that he did not have them. But notice the lack of placements in water signs and the cool Moon and you will see that it was at least difficult to deal with emotions…

THE DREAM STARTS
In the documentary he is 10 years old when he sees the first car in his life and starts dreaming. His father got ill and died not very long afterwards. And see how astrology matches with history! At age 10 he had progressed Sun inconjunct Jupiter and progressed Midheaven was trine Neptune. This symbolizes the disproportional self confidence that he had and the dream (Neptune) that easily (trine) influenced his career (Midheaven). The progressed inconjunction also shows us that he won a race by wooden car without engineJ, beating his elderly brother. He won, but (inconjunct Jupiter in the 3rd house...). The 'but' was that this moment intensified the bad relationship that he had with his brother. He also had progressed Moon trine Jupiter in those days and that is the best progressed aspect a person can get. This was the moment that he started dreaming about being a racer in the future.

CONFIDENCE
He always strongly believed that he would be rich and famous one day. Notice that Jupiter (ruler 1) is on the Midheaven trine Pluto on the descendant: Jupiter and Pluto are prominent in this chart! That reflects a lot of confidence and success as a result of that and all this in a prominent way! He was born to be a success. Mercury is opposition Jupiter/Pluto and conjunct Sun/Moon to express that he was great at convincing others (to invest in his dream). Uranus is also related to Sun/Moon and to Ascendant/MC: he was all in all a technician, innovative, an engineer.

DEATH AND SATURN AND PLUTO
Enzo Ferrari did not have placements in water signs and there is a calling Moon (a moon without major aspects) in Capricorn. He had 70% of his placements in air signs. This combination makes him a thinker and a communicator with sentiments at any possible level, but always in control (in Capricorn). In the documentary that lack of showing emotions is explained in the moment of the death of his father, who tells him not to cry. I almost forgot to mention: progressed Sun square Saturn and later square Pluto for the period after the death of his father. This Saturn and Pluto square comes back in times of death. In the First World War (1914-1918) his brother died and he broke his own arm to escape the front lines. Notice that the progressed Mercury is square Saturn and Pluto in 1917. And when his son Dino died in 1956 he had progressed Moon square Saturn and Pluto. Dino was born 29 January 1932 (progressed Sun trine Uranus), when he already had started the long lasting relationship with Lina.

FACTS
In 1948 he founded the Formula 1 team of Ferrari (Scuderia Ferrari). That was when his progressed Midheaven changed sign. In 1929 (with progressed Midheaven inconjunct Pluto) he had already founded Scuderia Ferrari but then he worked with Alfa Romeo. Only after the 2nd World War he was allowed to use the name Scuderia Ferrari for his own team.

Enzo Ferrari was more often in the company of his friends and the racing team than with his wife Laura. Later he had a mistress (Lina). The son born out of the relationship with Lina on 22 May 1944 is now 15% owner of Ferrari. His name is Piero Ferrari.

PROMINENCE
Back to Enzo: he had an oriental Mars, Jupiter on the Midheaven, Uranus in aspect with Sun/Moon and ASC/MC, Mercury on Sun/Moon, Neptune and Pluto were on either side of the horizon and just as crucial was Saturn (conjunct Ascendant). The Moon was calling! There is almost no object in this chart that does not have a special place. Only the Sun and Venus and they are 'rushing into Pisces' but still in Aquarius as if reflecting the technical visionary. With so many prominent placements he was bound to be special. With Jupiter and Pluto angular he had enough confidence, too. And there were more then 10 midpoint combinations in the 22.5 degree range to support the statement of success in his chart, for example with Mars square Jupiter/Uranus. That is an excellent combination for an inventor.

DISCRETION: NEPTUNE+PLUTO
I like to mention Neptune in the 7th house and the Neptune/Pluto combination with the Descendant, pointing at the secret relationship with Lina. In those days in Italy divorce was not easy and in the first half of the last century living with a married man was scandalous. The Moon in Capricorn kept him with his wife and Venus in Aquarius and square Uranus (out of sign) provided the adventurous 'free' love with Lina.

HIS DEATH
When he died transit Jupiter was exactly opposition his Uranus (read about this aspect and death) and as Uranus was related to Sun/Moon and ASC/MC, Jupiter was also in aspect with the cross of the chart and the cross point of the lights.

Astrology chart of 'Duch' (Cambodjan torturer)

He faces the judge today, finally, with transit Neptune square Natal Sun. This transit means that he is in a period of being seen in a negative light. He is being confronted with what he wanted to reveal or forget. And the media (Neptune) is not on his hand. His name is Kang Kek leu or Kaing Geuk Eav, but in any case 'Duch' . He tortured people in the Pol Pot period of Cambodja. He was born 17th November 1942. In 2007/2008 his progressed Sun changed sign. And that was when he was arrested and his life style changed subsequently. It seems that he became a christian a few years ago, that he is sorry and that he cried when he visited the place where so many Cambodjans were tortured to death. Moon in Pisces...

There is no hour of birth available, so we do not know wether there are crucial placements on the cross of the birth chart. What we know are the positions on the day, valid for many. Still, this composition of planets should show some possible entries into the world of a man who killed fanatically, in certain circumstances, times and cultures, like in the days of the fanatic Pol Pot.

MARS, SATURN AND PLUTO
See how Mars in Scorpio, rising before the Sun, is inconjunct Saturn and square Pluto. The combination of Mars, Saturn and Pluto introduces the theme of unnatural death. The inconjunction of Mars and Saturn reflects the disproportional hard measures that he took to serve his master.

Notice how the Sun conjunct Venus and trine Jupiter allowed him to live on as if nothing happened between 1975 and 1979 (the years of the killing fields). It is alwasy a pleasure to have nice aspects, even if you are not nice...

Notice that in 1978 his progressed sun sign also changed - into Capricorn - and that in 1979/1980 the progressed Sun squared Neptune(and was inconjunct Uranus. That tells us about hiding (Neptune) and about liberty (Uranus) being unbalanced, hard to get or lost (inconjunct). The progressed Sun square Neptune of those days come back in memory now that transit Neptune is square the Sun. What goes around, comes around.

BIAS (a partisian)
I would like to point at Moon in Pisces. I have noticed before that the Moon in Cancer or Pisces were involved in the charts of those who misbehaved in war times. For example, I have the birth data of 3 women who abused and beated jewish prisoners in WW2 and they have these placements, too. See the article about bias (link below).

COMBINATION
The 17th of November of 1942 was a day that would likely 'produce' individuals who are very committed to their family or group or party. And this man was one of them. It was also a day for people who were willing to gain either way, possibly very fanatic in sports and politics and maybe, in certain conditions, these characteristics would work out the wrong way. Most of all, because Mars is oriental (rising before the sun and not being limited by a more prominent Mercury - for sense - or Venus - for kindness and sympathy)...Mars is often oriental in the charts of the war criminals in Ruanda, too. Yet, it could be the sign for an entrepeneur, someone who was very energetic or active instead of being a war criminal. That said,
. the combination of a Moon in the 'bias' signs,
. the strong drive to use any means to win and
. the luck he had to be supported enough to stay out of prison until he was 65,
. together with the fact that he became a christian at the right moment (so that it is mentioned in all newspapers, very helpful for his case)...

The issue of unnatural death (and danger) together with the possibility of being a fanatic partisian in a period of extraordinary violence and power...This all fits the life of Duch. He had the right components to become violent in scary times. And possibly he had significant placements on the angles to be a prominent war criminal. But without hour of birth thAt remains speculation.

In July 2008 I wrote about Aribert Heim (Dr. Death) when people thought he was still alive. Now they think that he died 20 years ago. Right now Jupiter is trine his progressed Sun and conjunct progressed Uranus. It is the combination of relief and positive change. Well, he would have been very very old if he still lived. He was born in 1914 and would be 94.

Of course, circumstances, genes, opportunities and history influenced his cruel career, but the chart reveals at least the possibility of being unscrupulous. Without hour of birth the angular placements are not known. And little can be said about the question if Aribert Heim is alive or death.

Astrology chart of Hitler, the short way

On my site Astromarkt I once published an article in Dutch about the natal chart of Hitler, the man who had one ball short (yes, we know for sure now).

In that article I wrote that with 50% of the positions in earth and none in water, you could easily see that he was rather 'hard'. Without placements in the water signs you can nevertheless be very sentimental about small issues, and it seems that Adolf Hitler was too.
I wrote that the combination of the ambitious Moon in Capricorn with the persistent Sun in Taurus could eventually lead to a rise in position. And that the Moon in the 3rd house sometimes CAN lead to prejudice (having your opinion determined by the changes of the day and the group you belong to). And I wrote about Mercury conjunct Descendant and without Ptolemaic aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees. This 'calling' Mercury means that this is the chart of a communicator (and a sometimes unreasonable one). You can try to read the story on Astromarkt..., or ... you can have a quick look at the chart using the method that I describe in my book Astro I.D. *), the short way:

Sun and Uranus are calling**), Mercury is angular = crucially rising before the Sun...
That tells us that we deal with a : controversial - URANUS - communicator - MERCURY - and leader - SUN -. or someone with controversial opnions that are being noticed.

It is also a tough man (much earth, no water) with a passion (Venus-Mars conjunction). Politics are to be found in the link between Pluto and the midpoint Sun/Moon that shows that he is a politician in heart and soul and that he has the need to be influencial, powerful, rich or ...sexy. BTW, Pluto is in the 8th house of sex,life and death and problems. In this case, with Pluto in the 8th house, problems with sex and power. And that brings us back to the first alinea.

PS Pluto is tightly sesquisquare Uranus. The combination of Uranus and Pluto often cause immediate changes or force those kind of changes.

CHART OF DAVID RAY GRIFFIN, another Saturn-Pluto conspiracy man

I just posted about the charts of Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen and Adam Curry, all of them believe in a 0911 conspiracy. And then I remembered David Ray Griffin. I had something about him on my site Astromarkt, but that piece of my website cannot for some reason be published any more. Here is the refreshed story about him.

CHART OF DAVID RAY GRIFFIN
another Saturn-Pluto complot theory man

Theologist and philosopher David Ray Griffin is the leading voice in the conspiracy theories about 09/11 and a million seller author since his retirement. Without hour of birth there is no chart, but the ephemeris shows a lot of information about his birthday (8th August 1939, Santa Monica) anyway.

We see:
- Pluto (oriental) with Venus ahead of the Sun (money and politics)
- Sun at Aries Point semi square Jupiter/Neptune (beliefs, followers)
- No positions in water signs (empathy calling)
- No placements in air signs, too (communications calling)
- 70% in fixed signs (strong will, perseverance: " 9/11. David Griffin will never let this go until we get the truth."..Wikipedia quoting him)
- Combination of earth and fire (creativeness)
- Closest aspect: Saturn square Pluto (the die hard confronting people and I am beginning to believe it is frequent in the charts of those who suspect conspiracies)

And could not Saturn-Pluto be: ‘fear of politics and politicians’? Maybe it is.
Both Saturn and Pluto are connected to the Northern Node, reflecting the time he was born (just before the war). This aspect links business to power and money. And this aspect shows the controversial struggle of the scientist (Saturn is for the institute of science) against politics (Pluto), too. It is the combination of a person who withstands hard confrontations.

So what do we see? A very creative and will powered leading person with a conviction. Power, influence, politics and money come first in his chart. He is a rather tough and hard person you cannot reason with. A die-hard!
The missing elements point at specialization or being extreme and at having a focus on a certain area in life. No water, no air: social life at any level.

Strange enough his Venus is on the ascendant of president Bush (if that ascendant is 7d06m Leo). I heard him say on tele that it was possible that Bush personally was not involved in the conspiracy from the very beginning...With Venus on another person’s ascendant it is difficult not to be kind.

David Ray Griffin is a theologist. He has the Sun semi square Jupiter/Neptune. The combination of Jupiter/Neptune is also there in the chart of Gibson. Professor Griffin is publishing about 09/11 since 2004. That was the year of his progressed Mars sextile Jupiter. In 2006, progressed Jupiter was trine Pluto (for a lot of profit and success), with transit Jupiter square natal Sun for successes that do not come easy or with conflicts.When a person has a tight Saturn square Pluto, the trines with Pluto will always be inconjunctions with Saturn at the same time. In 2006 Griffin had his fortune, but he also experienced the disadvantages and the price to pay.

In October of 2006 a tape recording of Atta was found. DAVID RAY GRIFFIN (8th August 1939 Santa Barbara) will not have been happy with this discovery since he had Transit Saturn square his natal Uranus at the time. GEORGE W. BUSH (6th July 1946, 7h26 a.m. New Haven) seemed to profit from the tape. Transit Pluto was making a perfect trine with the Midheaven (MC). Pluto is the planet of the politician, but also the symbol of discovery and investigation.

This time there is no date of birth starting with a 3 involved, like with Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson:).

NO WATER SIGNS IN GWYNETH PALTROW's CHART

My latest post was about the influence of water signs when it comes to 'wanting to be part of it' or 'being involved' in a group.
Yesterday I visited a zoo. The 'ocean part' of it contained an explanation of the advantages and disadvantages of swarms. I think that that explanation about swarms could be used to explain the tendency to 'go with the flow'. That tendency is one side of the water signs Pisces and Cancer. So, I thought, NOT having water signs could have the opposite effect. Having over 30% of the placements, included Sun and/or Moon, in water signs can easily bring a person to 'going with the flow’.

Movie star Gwyneth Paltrow does not have placements in water signs at all. So the fact that Gwyneth Paltrow did not wear make-up on a celebrity’s party tells me that not having placements in water signs makes you rather unwilling to do as 'everybody does'. And in some cases the lack of placements in water signs makes you do things the other way around. Anyway, she was mentioned in the media again:)

GWYNETH
Gwyneth Paltrow was born 27th September 1972 at 17h25. (Some sites mention 28th of September, but most say September 27 and so does Astrotheme) She was born in LA. She has a lot of placements in air signs, the signs of communications. Pluto is oriental in her chart (rising before the Sun). Issues of influence, money, sexuality, life and death, strategy or politics are the issues that she is orientated on. (BTW I like the Jupiter-Neptune midpoint combination with the MC. It is the combination for those who work with a believing audience, like movie stars do or in the case of religious vocations).

KNOWING THE RIGHT PEOPLE
Noel Tyl mentions that Pluto oriental, rising before the Sun, is related to 'knowing the right people'. Gwyneth Paltrow became known and famous because she had a relationship with Brad Pitt. That affair lasted for 2 years. It was a mutual Moon-Ascendant relationship. Her Moon opposition his Ascendant. His Moon semi squares her Ascendant. And his Saturn sesquisquare her Sun. Attraction (Moon) and a goodbye later (Saturn)...They shared Mars square Jupiter (a drive to progress in life) and Mercury-Ceres aspects (she has the conjunction, he has the semi square, both nurture themselves with communications:). The relationship with Brad Pitt made her famous, but the fact that she remained famous can be contributed to her.

The positions of his birth day and his progression offer some insight in the characteristics of a doctor who’s nick name was Dr. Death. The chart for that day corresponds with the charts of others who were involved too much and abused their power.

It is believed that Aribert Heim, alias Dr. Death, is still alive, though rather weak. And the search for him, in order to make him face justice, continues…I have studied the charts of those who commit crimes in war times and I think that bias in cruel times, in addition to power to do whatever you like, is dangerous. I also think that a certain amount of placements in water signs indicates ‘involvement’ and ‘wanting to belong’, sometimes leading to bias. Bias can be used for the benefit of groups of people. And bias can lead to destruction.

Biased people are those who favor persons like family members or lovers above others. They have different judgments about the one they like and the one they do not like. The working of the mind of a biased person has been studied by Dr. Drew Westen, a psychologist at Emory. All of the politicians he studied had biased brains…

In times of war and suppression some collaborate because it is so much easier to do or because they simple want to be part of the majority. Others go further and commit cruel crimes. Heim is one of them.

Pluto
He was born with an oriental Pluto square Aries Point (the most prominent planet), 40% of the placements in water signs (Sun in Cancer) and 3 tight aspects: Mars sextiel Pluto, Venus opposition Uranus and Mercury conjunct Neptune. Pluto was there when he became a Nazi.

When WWII started (in 1939) his progressed Sun changed sign to Leo and his life style changed. That was also the year that of his promotion as a medical doctor. Not an ordinary one: he was trained by the SS and a member of the Austrian NSDAP since 1935! That was with transit Pluto conjunct his progressed Sun.

In Mauthausen he committed such cruel crimes, that I will not mention them here. That was in 1941. As a memory he kept the skull of one of the victims he made, on his desk. Later he became a very skilled army doctor and saved the lives of many German soldiers.

After the war there was a short period of incarceration and in 1949 he was released from prison, he married, became a gynecologist and owned houses.

Jupiter
Heim managed to live an almost completely free life abroad. Jupiter is sesquisquare his Sun. Whenever he moved to another country the progressed Sun was in aspect with Jupiter.

In 1962 he was traced by Simon Wiesenthal and fled the country (progressed Sun opposition Jupiter). He worked and lived in Latina America and in Egypt. In 1969 he divorced his wife (progressed Venus semi square progressed Sun). Since 1985 he is supposed to live in Spain (with Sun inconjunct Jupiter). His heirs have not claimed the 1 million euro on his bank account, so he is probably still alive and in Argentina or the southern part of Chili. This year his Sun is sesquisquare Jupiter, so maybe dr. Death is on the move again? Or will he do as his name tells him to do and finally come home (his name is Heim and Heim means home…) and face the law?

BIAS
I wrote an article on Astromarkt about bias. I would like to add something here. Below you see the charts of 3 persons, one man, and two women. I noted their birth data when a saw a documentary about grandpa’s and grandma’s in prison. They looked normal and nice, and no one could have suspected them of being the cruel guards in Majdanek. Pisces and Cancer were abundant in their charts. Being involved too much is one of the possible effects of these star signs.

Alibert Heim is a Cancer. 40% of his placements are in water signs (and 30% in air). Moon and Mercury are in mutual reception. I have more examples of what water signs do (beneficial or not) when it comes to group involvement:

- Poncke Prinsen (Dutch soldier who walked over to the enemy Indonesian rebels and so lost his Dutch nationality) has 50% of the objects in water, Moon semi square Mercury and Venus opposed to Pluto.

- William of Orange (the first, the rebel leader against the king of Spain_ had 40% of his planets in water, a conjunction of Sun, Moon and Mercury sesquisquare Jupiter.

- Mordechai Vanunu (Israelian atomic scientist, told the world that Israel had an atomic weapon, was sequestered back to Israel and only after years he was released with severe conditions recently. 50% in water signs, Moon opposed to Mercury, Venus square Pluto.

- Martin Luther King, the murdered religious black leader, had Moon trine Mercury and opposed to Pluto and 40% in water signs.

- Mahatma Gandhi (spiritual leader during freedom fight of India) had 40% in water signs, Moon quintile Jupiter and square Pluto, Venus opposition Pluto.

- Mohammed B., the fundamentalist who slaughtered Theo van Gogh (a man who was rather offensive towards Muslims in his blogs and on the radio), was born March 8, 1978 with 60% of the positions in water (40% in Pisces) and Sun square Neptune.

- Lyndie England (8 November 1982, Fort Ashby, West Virginia), the abusive soldier in Iraq, has 40% in water signs (Scorpio) and says she had been influenced by her lover. The tightest aspect in her chart is Saturn conjunct Pluto (the disadvantages of politics and extremes).

- Johann Leprich, born 7 July 1925, was working as a guard in Mauthausen (concentration camp) and has electronical surveillance since October 19, 2006. He has 40% in water signs, Sun in Cancer conjunct the oriental Pluto and Mars is tightly square Saturn.

- Elfride Huth (14 July 1922 in Leipzig) has Sun in Cancer and Moon in Pisces. 50% of the positions are in water signs. She was sent back to Germany in September 2006, after the death of her Jewish (!) husband. In the Nazi-period she worked as a guard. It was so much easier than working in a factory... Mercury is square Saturn and semi square Neptune; Mars square Uranus and inconjunct Pluto. Pluto oriental.

Do you see the patterns? In specific circumstances and of course when other indications in the chart confirm it, the bias (the involvement) shown in the natal chart becomes a rather mortal or otherwise important issue in life.
