When Ringo Starr became a Beatle, on August 16, 1962, what exactly did his chart 'say'? Here is the chart:
This was after a period of highlighted contacts (Progressed Sun-Mercury) and hard works and efforts (Mars-AC in progressed chart):
1. transit Jupiter sesquisquare midpoint Sun/Moon
2. transit Pluto sesquisquare Sun/Moon midpoint
! notice that Jupiter and Pluto (and Chiron, too) were in aspect with midpoint Sun/Moon. Jupiter/Pluto can bring success. Sun/Moon-Jupiter/Pluto shows very strong motivation and confidence (and therefore more chance of success).
3. transit Pholus inconjunct Sun (strong transit because Sun is opposite Pholus in the natal chart); this signals a turning point in life that got him (and his former life style) 'out of balance'
Three minor aspects showing the major impact of that day in 1962...
As the progressed Sun got closer and closer to midpoint Jupiter/Pluto (for success!) it was to be expected that joining the Beatles would bring him luck. As both progressed Sun with midpoint Jupiter/Pluto AND the midpoint Sun/Moon with transit Jupiter and Pluto were indications of confidence and success, the transit of Pholus could only mean a 'but...' when considering a successful change in life. Wikipedia quote:
He commented on the nature of his lifestyle after having achieved success with the Beatles: "I lived in nightclubs for three years. It used to be a non-stop party.
His pattern of talent doesn't exactly follow 'the rules' (see my blog Art&Astrology) but IS there. Venus conjunct MC and Midheaven biquintile Moon and square Neptune tells us that his career and position could be related to artistic talents. Progressed Venus was retrograde and that is how the opposition Venus-MC got exact in later life.
BTW the Pluto of John Lennon's day of birth is conjunct the Moon of Ringo Starr. That might indicate the strong influence that Lennon had...

Swinging Gemini, using hands and feet
On Thursday May 21, 2015 the sun entered the astrological sign Gemini. It is the 'handy' sign, excellent for anything that you need to do using hand and feet at the same time. What? Well, dancing, playing tennis or cricket. Gemini is also the sign of gestures (using hands and mouth at the same time:).
This doesn't mean that any Gemini could play at Wimbledon or will be seen on TV in 'So you think you can dance'. And it is also not true that anyone who does, is a Gemini. In fact, some of them don't have any planet in Gemini at all. For example: Serena William. She is a top tennis player. Gemini is on her 2nd house cusp and Mercury (ruler of Gemini) is right opposite her Taurus (uh?) Ascendant. Even Agassi lacked support of Gemini. But, in order not to shame astrology, Roger Federer has a Midheaven in Gemini, just like cricket player Sourav Ganguly. Mr. Gangly also has Mercury in Gemini as final dispositor - ruler - of the Midheaven routing, as a strong statement. You'd almost think that Serena William shouldn't have been a tennis player at all:)
Of course, that is a joke. It is very hard to link charts to exact jobs. You also have to include backgrounds, social status and culture. In Serena Williams' case, the father pushed all of his children to become a tennis player. He managed to succeed with Serena's elderly sister Venus. And she's a Gemini! Serene has Sun/Moon in hard aspect with Ceres (symbol of genes, dynasties) and so she was motivated by family. I'm glad to have found the Gemini way, here.
Bob Hewitt is an Australian born tennis player. He was convicted last week for raping six of his pupils. He was born on January 12, 1940. Check that ephemeris and you'll see: not a tiny little bit of Gemini on that day. Perhaps it is the hour and place of birth (MC, Ascendant), just like the rapist. Although Mars in Aries trine Pluto COULD be used to win and conquer with extreme drive in a sexual way.
A besides about Hewitt. His chart, transits and progressions are mirroring the effect of resonance that I mentioned on this blog before. When you have a certain aspect in the natal chart and a transit or progression connects the same planets or points as in the birth chart, this transit or progression will manifest in a strong way. He has a natal Saturn inconjunct Neptune and opposition Node. It is the combination of involuntary detachment, (see the post) related to groups of people (like in a hospital or prison). Right now there are minor aspects repeating the natal combination. Transit Neptune is semi square Saturn. Transit Node was quindecile Saturn on the day of his conviction. Those aspects are considered to be generational aspects (because a lot of people born in the same period have them). Only if there are more indications in the same direction and when Saturn, Neptune or Node have a special place in the chart (for example: on an angle), you may expect that the Saturn-Neptune-Node theme will be mirrored in your life somehow. It might be the case in the chart of Hewitt, or it would be just coincidental that he faces a not wanted isolation now.
Just like Hewitt I don't have any Gemini planet in the natal chart. Everybody has a house cusp with Gemini on it. In my chart it is the 4th house. I like to live where there are shops, in a city or not to far from the busy road. I lived in an apartment above a mall twice. But I don't play tennis. And I don't dance!
I had a friend once, a Gemini, who persuaded me to join her on a cruise to Norway. She had been on cruises in the Caribbean before and expected to dance, dance and dance all day. But, the public on the ship we sailed on was quite different (grey hair, looking for culture and loving jazz and classics) so that the disco was empty and cold and she was in bad and sad mood. I, on the contrary, enjoyed myself. I am not fond of dancing in public (no Gemini, no!). It is rather amazing that I met my husband on a dance floor (but OK, I was young), because when we decided to learn how to dance (style dancing, I mean) we had to cover the floor with paper feet to know where to stand on! He doesn't have Gemini planets either!
In the progressed chart, however, I have an Ascendant Gemini and that is nice, when you are getting older. They say that Gemini Ascendants look younger than they are and remain mentally active. What will happen to my blog when my Progressed Ascendant moves into Taurus, I wonder? Perhaps I'll move to the country:) Anyway, meanwhile I will try to be more swinging and keep blogging in accordance to the Progressed Ascendant. Gemini swings! Just consider the fact that the Sun/Moon midpoint in Michael Jackson's chart was in Gemini, too...

Eris and the charts, transits and progressions of the Kouachi brothers
Above is a scary picture for those who are afraid of spiders. It is a photo of a jumping spider named Eris Militaris. This picture was chosen because of the importance of dwarf planet Eris in the chart of two terrorists as I will show you. Eris is sesquisquare midpoint Sun/Moon in the chart of one and elevated in the chart of the second one. Eris (wrath, chaos and strife) is the goal and the motivation of terrorism.
It is the day of the big manifestation against terrorism in Paris. Here are the AA rated charts (source Astrodatabank) with transits and progression of the late Saïd and Chérif Kouachi, the brothers who murdered the staff of CharlieHebdo (see earlier post) for you to study.
Charts, as you know, can't be read without considering the genes, gender, situation, conditions and culture, age or period in history. Charts are just astrological pictures of the sky for a certain moment. At that certain moment cats, dogs, birds, companies and human beings were born, people died and married or gave birth and there were accidents or happy moments for hundreds of thousands of people. The chart shows important items and issues. Astrologers see the picture of the sky as a reflection of a certain moment and they believe that the moment of birth (seeing the light) is the most important moment for a person. The picture of the sky shows the nature of the person. The charts of the brothers must also be seen in the light of their position in society and their background. That is even more important here, because their charts highlight the importance of genes and background (Ceres). And the importance (for them) of disharmony, discord and fights (Eris).
The oldest brother Saïd has a chart with :
a. Ceres (genes, dynasty) conjunct Ascendant, Sun conjunct IC (the point of family and background), b. Eris (the symbol of discord) elevated and inconjunct Sun (unbalanced disharmony, at cost of life)
c. the Moon in Leo (need to be a leader or draw attention) rises before the Sun (own needs and own family/group first)
d. The tightest aspect in his chart is Jupiter square Neptune. Jupiter-Neptune is the combination of the believing audience, the fans and followers and devotion. That is why Jupiter-Neptune is related to the movies, but also to beliefs and religion. A square is for a difficulty, a battle. This tight square makes being a follower or believer an important issue in his life.
e. The Sun-Uranus minor aspect refers to being an outsider, alienation, independence or rebellion.
At the time of the murders and of his death there were two in conjuncts:
1. progressed IC was inconjunct Uranus and
2. the progressed Descendant inconjunct Venus.
There is also an Eris-Node opposition. That is it.
His brother Chérif has a typical combination for terrorism:
1. Sun semi square Mars and conjunct Uranus. The Sun-Mars-Uranus combination is frequent in charts of terrorists, but doesn't necessarily mean that you have to be a terrorist, of cours. 2. Uranus rising before the Sun made it important to be controversial and 'different'.
3. Sun/Moon midpoint sesquisquare Eris motivated for disharmony and is motivated by it.
The Leo Ascendant is for drawing attention. That completes the picture.
At the time of the murders and of his death, we see:
- progressed Mars conjunct Descendant and
- transit Neptune square Uranus, conjunct cusp 8 (house of death) + square progressed MC,
- but also transit Jupiter inconjunct Mars
As a member of a group (of terrorists) you could see the chart as that of a man eager to act, motivated and at the time perhaps driven by an ideal.
Charts don't judge or explain. Charts show us how a person's astrological situation is and need to be interpreted. We must see them in the light of the background and circumstances and weigh all factors. Actors and sports men were born on their days of birth. There are many ways to deal with anger and aggression or energy.
The fact that it didn't take much to turn these brothers with these charts into killing machines - prepared to die in the name of their faith - is very scary. There is an important astrological signal in their charts that might be the key to their acts. Eris. Eris is important in their charts. The position of this symbol tells us that chaos, strife and disharmony was their goal (elevated Eris) and motivated them (Sun/Moon Eris). Eris is the symbol of jealousy. In the myth, she was the one not invited for the party (she always quarreled, that's why), seeking revenge by causing chaos and this ended in the Trojan war (with the famous Trojan horse, by the way). One named Paris was involved.
Quoting Wikipedia about Eris:
Strife whose wrath is relentless, she is the sister and companion of murderous Ares, she who is only a little thing at the first, but thereafter grows until she strides on the earth with her head striking heaven. She then hurled down bitterness equally between both sides as she walked through the onslaught making men's pain heavier. She also has a son whom she named Strife.
Is it coincidental that Eris became as important as Pluto (a dwarf planet) in the past decade, I wonder? That doesn't give much hope. Maybe they can rename her, please, in Harmonia?:)

Chart of the late Robin Williams
Robin Williams, a talented and beloved movie star, died yesterday. It was:
1. when the progressed Sun had entered the final degree of Virgo (about to change sign).
It means that life or lifestyle is about to change. The period before and just after the changing sign of the progressed sun is an unstable period.
2. when progressed Mars was exactly on his natal MC. Mars is in the natal 8th house of crisis (life and death)
In the natal chart Mars is rising before the Sun. It is a position for an activist, for a do-er, for someone who is not likely to sit back and wait for the good times.
3. with transit Saturn on the midpoint Ascendant/Midheaven and almost conjunct Sun/Moon midpoint. Saturn's crucial and highlighted position marks endings, setbacks, depressions...
4. when the retrograding transit Pluto had been (again) opposition natal Mars and Uranus (and was on the midpoint Mars/Uranus); the Mars-Uranus-Pluto combination is about crisis.
5. with progressed Ascendant semi square the natal Sun/Moon midpoint and highlighted his situation.
6. with progressed Ascendant also quindecile (165 degree aspect) Pluto, for a focus on the planet of stress and crisis
6. when progressed Mercury ruler 8 was moving to an inconjunct with Jupiter. Mercury-Jupiter is the combination of successful decisions, but an inconjunct in between speaks of lost balance and loss.
7. with transit Mercury ruler 8 on natal Midheaven
8. and it happened to be a transit Sun conjunct Pluto day for Robin Williams. Those days are more complicated and dangerous than other days are. (As my site Astromarkt has been hacked, I can't link to the article about solar transits and the nature of the days, sorry.)
9. Progressed MC quindecile Jupiter doesn't seem to fit in the list, but there is often a Jupiter aspect involved when a person dies. Maybe because Jupiter is the planet of the great voyage... See 'Jupiter when you die': http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2013/08/jupiter-when-you-die.html
10. The important transit of Saturn had been over his Ascendant and was in the first natal house. Transits of Saturn are often depressing and force you to face the facts of life.
Also, the solar return chart for Chicago (place of birth) has Saturn on Midheaven. It might just be coincidence, of course.
On important moments in life, we use to see a lot of transits and progressions. The list above shows the amount of them on August 11, 2014. At least 5 of the above mentioned points are related to the 8th house of death, but still this wouldn't have to mirror the end of life. Astrology, like statistics, doesn't work the other way around. And it takes a natal chart to start with.
Robin Williams' natal chart has an usual pattern of artistic talent compared to the artists on my site Art&Astrology. The sensitive and amorphous Moon in Pisces opposition the planet of art, Venus is in a way (as Pisces is the 'house sign' of Neptune) a variation on the theme Moon-Venus-Neptune. Leo MC is for the star. The culminating Mercury tells us about the importance of communications. He 'quickly mastered dialects', says Wikipedia and Mercury's prominence mirrors that. Mars rising before the Sun and Out of Bounds is in line with the fact that he was called 'hyperactive' when he was young. The inconjunct of Sun and Chiron shows us that there is something wrong and healing was needed (from the start).
Here is the chart with transits and progressions for yesterday.

The start of World War 1, the chart of Gavrilo Princip
One hundred
years ago Gavrilo Princip, a nationalist Bosnian Serb, assassinated Archduke
Franz Ferdinand of Austria and Sophie, his wife. It happened on June 28, 1914
in Sarajevo. A newspaper said today that
he is the most successful terrorist ever, because eventually he reached his
goal, long after death, however. Let’s see his chart with transits and
progressions for the day of the murder.
What kind
of a chart has he? Here you see the natal with transits and progressions for June 28, 1914.
![]() |
I think that first of all he wanted to be significant (Sun
calling!) and successful. A key characteristic is that he is o do-er (active,
aggressive) and serious, too. He is a believer/follower or has followers with
Jupiter/Neptune angular.
The most personal and individual points in a chart are the midpoints AC/MC and Sun/Moon. They show us what might happen. His AC/MC is in hard aspect with the Northern Node, telling us about the importance of groups and being part of it.
His Sun/Moon is in hard aspect with Mars/Uranus (the midpoint of acceleration and accidents, surgery, taking measures right away, terrorism and freedom fighters). Sun/Moon midpoint semi square Quaoar definitely gives away what he intended to do and what motivated him: shaping a whole new reality, a new world, by means of an act of surprise.
Also, the tight aspect 'Sun square Pholus' seems to fit the idea of shooting your own feet being the catalyst.
A key aspect is Mars opposite Saturn on the meridian (discipline, the importance of
death and death ends, ‘heroism’). It is an aspect for a warrior or a soldier,
someone with a deathly weapon. The placement on the meridian tells us about the importance of this aspect.
Eris, exactly square his Ascendant, symbolizes
discord and disharmony.
There are more details, like the placement of the 'calling' Sun in the eight house, but why mention all the details? We could also have a look at the situation. He was very young and part of a group named 'The Black Hand'. He was ill. He was small and he was weak. And still, he managed to became notorious (Sun), a questionable hero (Mars opposite Saturn) and a person who succeeded (Jupiter transits/progressions) to become the symbol of a turning point in history (Sun square Pholus) when he acted on impulse with heart and soul (Sun/Moon - Mars/Uranus) to create (Quaoar) a change.
Killing a
monarch is not the way we like to change the world. This killer had Uranus
inconjunct Pluto on the day of his birth in the year of the Dreyfuss affair
(see: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2013/04/w.html
) On the day that he successfully assassinated the (in his eyes) suppressor of his people, he had transit Jupiter sesquisquare progressed Midheaven and opposite progressed Sun.
He was content. One hundred years later most of his goals have been reached.
THE DAY OF
HIS DEATH
He died
within 4 years of tuberculosis. Previous to his final day, transits of Saturn and
Neptune had already weakened him. They even had to amputate his arm. See the chart:
On his
final day he had an astrological significant aspect combination for a final
day: the progressed ruler of the 4th house (ruling the Moon, ruler
of the 8th house) was conjunct the Moon, ruler of the 8th
house. The 8th house is the house of crisis, life and death. The 4th
house is about (as I see it) ‘going home’ (back to basics). There is again a Sun-Jupiter aspect. The
progressed Sun sextile Jupiter ruler 1 made it easy to move on to a better
place.

Narendra Modi's chart
It seems that Narendra Modi, born September 17, 1950 in Vadnagar, India, will be the next Prime Minister of India. Modi is a Hindu nationalist politician. His time of birth is unknown. Astrodatabank has two possible hours of birth for us, but no confirmation whatsoever. That is why the hours of birth for the charts are DD-rated. I stick to 'unknown'.
Those who vote for him want change and a better situation. Those who are against him point at his past (especially events in 2002 when he had Progressed Sun semi square Ceres) and say he did too little to stop the riots then.
In the chart of his day of birth and in his past political years there are enough indications for the kind of PM that he will be and in what situation he is now.
His Astro ID shows us:
1. Saturn rising before the Sun (the importance of ambition, classical education, parent and responsibility)
2. Jupiter 'calling' (no aspects within the 5 degree orb or in sign) for the international at any possible level
Jupiter and Saturn are in minor aspect (157.5 degrees), so it might take some time to realize the wanted 'growth' in a hierarchic scene
3. The Moon is Out of Bounds.
The OOB Moon works like a 'calling' Moon' and tells us that emotions and needs can reach any level. An Out of Bounds Sagittarian Moon might be an unlashed person who:
" may not really BE cheerful, but you think acting cheerful is a good thing always. You need progress and good news, cannot do without and when you pretend being happy you might actually become happy (you hope). Sometimes you just overdo that! When things are getting wrong or bad you become nervous and hurried"
Because of the lack of an A-rated hour of birth, the angular position are unknown.
His character is illustrated by:
1. Sun in Virgo, Moon most probably in Sagittarius (or else: Scorpio) (at least: in Western astrology. Because in Vedic it might be different...)
2. Tight aspects between Sun, Mercury, Mars and Saturn. Sun-Saturn tight aspects are in the charts of politicians like Hugo Chavez, Turkish PM Erdogan, Robert Mugabe and Putin. They like to be the one (and/or the ONLY one) in charge...
3. Venus sextile Uranus (and Mars sesquisquare Uranus) for explosive passion
4. Sun/Moon midpoint in Libra (square Pholus around noon that day)
If he was born around noon and Pholus is in the spotlights, we might expect that he is very motivated to initiate change (in his life and in that of others) by cooperation.
This is the chart of a flexible, ambitious, very driven and disciplined person who wants change and excitement and who is in heart and soul a diplomat, motivated to cooperate.
It is no wonder that he made a career:)
There is a lot of Pholus in his chart today.
1. Progressed Sun is sextile natal and progressed Pholus
2. Transit Pholus is square natal Sun
It means that he is on a turning point (of no return) in life and that he must take care of his footsteps. Here are more examples: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2010/04/pholus-files.html
There is also a Venus-Jupiter square in the progressed chart. That is good for popularity and bad for eating too much:).
PS
The only other VIP born on the same day is John Waldo "Fee" Waybill, a singer. The Sagittarius Moon is semi square Neptune and square Venus in the hours around noon. That is a pattern for talent, see Art&Astrology.

Transits and progressions of Michael Schumacher's accident
1. Progressed Sun is exactly square progressed Neptune.
This aspect often accompanies a period of withdrawal or isolation. In the natal chart the Sun is semi square Neptune and Neptune is angular. That increases the importance of this progression.
He is in coma and in hospital and that seems to correspond with the nature of Neptune.
2. Progressed Mars and Progressed Pholus both semi square transit Pluto
This aspect warns for danger of injuries.
The two aspects above are valid even if the hour of birth is not completely correct. For the other transits and progressions, it takes more than that.
3. Transit Pluto on natal Sun/Moon midpoint (if the time of birth given by Astrodatabank is correct)
Sun/Moon is the point of heart and soul and of being motivated or not. Pluto intensifies motivations. The Sun/Moon-Pluto combination highlights crisis, issues of life and death and challenges in general.
4. Transit Mars square natal Moon
This is for a moment with a risk of getting hurt.
5. Transit Chiron is conjunct Progressed Moon, mirroring the need to heal.
6. Progressed Venus is inconjunct Progressed IC and in a growing sesquisquare with progressed Neptune.
There is no involvement of the 8th house, except for Pluto (natural ruler of 8) and Mars (ancient natural ruler of 8). In January and April/May transit Jupiter will be on the Progressed Ascendant (provided that the hour is correct!). Jupiter is the symbol of doctors, helpers and sometimes of hope that things will be getting better. His Jupiter, however is the ruler of the 8th house of life and death and of crisis. Given the situation, we will have to wait, see and hope for the best…

Two charts, one experience
A long time ago I wrote 'When one chart is up and the other one is down'. It was about the correlation between the charts of couples sharing experiences such as the wedding day, when children are born or parents die. As the lives of couples are sort of intwined, you may expect to see the reflection of the event or situation in both of the charts (natal or progressed). Couples almost always have tight connections between their charts. They often experience the same transits, like this happy couple.
Personal examples:
Of course you can have the same transits with a stranger, too. You don't know him or her, but if you did, you would empathize and 'feel along'. Charts: they should be seen and read in the light of the situation and the circumstances.
PS ON THE ASCENDANT-DESCENDANT
The axis AC-DC connects the houses 1 and 7 (house of partners). Transits may refer to things that happen to your partner and have an effect on you, personally. Jupiter may make you happy for him/her, Neptune may make you sad, Saturn worries etcetera.
Also visit: Astromarkt.net for example about love or about Mars and synastry

Personal examples:
- My Sun/Moon midpoint is exactly square the Sun of my husband. My AC/MC midpoint, too. And there are more synastry aspects. When his Sun was hit by an opposition of transit Uranus the other day, this transit Uranus also hit my midpoints Sun/Moon and AC/MC. What happened was an accident with hot water. It happened to him, but Uranus shocked me, too. More on that accident in the next post.
- Mid August transit Jupiter was square his Sun, was Jupiter opposition my Sun/Moon. That's when he did that hole-in-1.
- When my sister was dying her progressed Sun was conjunct mine. It made us share transits and brought us closer together.

Charts of Albert and Philip of Belgium today
AnnOUNCeMent KING ALBERT OF BELGIUM 18.00 H MET
Today at 18.00 uur there will be a speech of King Albert. The general idea is that he will announce that he is stepping back, probably in favor of Philip. Philip won't have easy times if he becomes king. First of all not, because there are doubts about his ability to be a king. King Albert's ailments and age might be the reasons to abdicate. He also faces the problem that his DNA is wanted by Delphine Boel (the daughter of a former mistress).
ALBERT And PHILIP's CHaRTS
1. ALBERT
- Progressed Sun trine Uranus (exact in 6 weeks time) announces a smooth change in lifestyle
- Progressed IC quindecile Saturn mirrors the end of a period
- Transit Pholus moved over his progressed Descendant: turning point in relationships and start of a different situation
- Progressed Mercury ruler 5 (house of children) is square MC: decission making regarding children
- Progressed chart has Ascendant square Quaoar (new horizon, new scope)
II. PHILIP
- ! Ceres (dynasty, succession) is opposition progressed Ascendant (development in situation connected to family or genes)
- Progressed Sun sextile Uranus: easy change
- Progressed Venus opposite Moon (question if the feeling or moment is OK)
- Progressed Sun getting closer to inconjunct Saturn
This Sun inconjunct Saturn is one of the hardest possible aspects to look forward to. It is the aspect of the 'lame duck', falling of the pedestal, getting into a difficult position, life being too hard and goodbye's to a life style with losing balance as a consequence (or losing a lifestyle and that being the reason for depression). Sometimes people fall hard and break a leg during this progression or transit. Anyway, I placed the picture of the Lame Duck tango step because it is hard to do and because the change of the crown is a sort of a dance, too.
PHILIP's NATAL CHART
- Severe eduction (Pluto of his mother on his IC)
- Military (Mars on MC)
- Problem of communications (Mercury in Pisces, badly aspectes, on Aries Point and no placements of planets, Sun or Moon in air signs).
- Calling Sun and Saturn (like in the chart of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands)
- Angular Mars, Jupiter and Pluto, Ceres=Jupiter=Sun/Moon... that is rather fortunate.
- Jupiter trine Pluto...that is one of the keys to success, in particular because both are angular

The King in the chart of Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands
The chart of the new King of the Netherlands has some interesting indications for his present position. Charts don't make kings. But:
- Sun/Moon midpoint, for example, is conjunct the royal star Regulus.
- Midheaven is in Leo.
- Saturn doesn't make any major aspect in sign or orb 5 degrees. This Saturn is 'calling' for duty and responsibility and management.
- The Sun is on the Descendant, in a crucial position. The importance of the Sun refers to leadership. And he is also a true member of the family: he has this important Sun binovile the elevated Jupiter. Jupiter's color is orange:). Most members of the family have a Sun-Jupiter combination. It is the aspect of the privileged person with lots of self confidence.
So for some reason he was equipped to do the job.
Here is the chart with transits and progressions for last April 30, the day that he became king.
On the day that he started the new period in life, there were indications of change.
1. The most exact aspect is the progressed Mars quatronovile natal Sun, a sort of a statement of rejoicing the job.
2. Transit Saturn conjunct the Ascendant usually isn't seen as a nice aspect. There is a heavy load to carry and it might just have been that robe;). As Saturn is 'calling' in the natal chart, this transit is indicating a moment of 'coming out' for ambitions. He was under scrutiny but as the day was a perfectly organized day and he didn't make mistakes (on the contrary), this transit of Saturn was like the present that Saturn gives when he leaves a house (the 12th, in this case).
3. The change is visualized by means of Uranus (symbol of change) and Pholus (symbol of a turning point). There are 4 aspects:
a. Transit Uranus trine Progressed Ascendant and on his way to an aspect with Midheaven, soon.
b. Transit Pholus is trine Midheaven and opposite the Sun.
There is clearly a turning point and change in life style, position and … name.
How long will you be king, asked his daughter. With Saturn sesquisquare Midheaven we may expect that he steps back, just like his mother did for him. But not now...:)

MADame Ceres with transit Mars and Pluto
You know that Mars is square Pluto and sextile Jupiter today?
These transits of Mars, Pluto and Jupiter hit my midpoint Sun/Moon*). That is giving a whole lot of energy and drive. This aspect combination said: you are motivated (Sun/Moon) by an enormous amount of energy or ... work.
My Sun/Moon is conjunct Ceres (nutrition). So those transits of Mars and Pluto and Jupiter also hit my Ceres. I happened to be angry about an overload of mistakes by care takers of my mother. Imagine: they gave her a wheel chair that was too high and 4 persons didn't notice that her feet were 4 feet above the floor! That is just one thing...
OK...
Maybe I simply had an overdose of caffeine. I had 4 cups and chocolate, too, today. This is what an overdose does on spiders' webs:
CERES
This seems to be a good moment to tell you about Sun/Moon = Ceres. You see:
Sun/Moon = Venus is motivated by kindness,
Sun/Moon = Mars is motivated by work or sex,
Sun/Moon = Mercury is motivated by words and plans,
Sun/Moon = Jupiter is motivated by coaches or wise words coming from a doctor or minister, Sun/Moon = Saturn is motivated by parents and ambition,
Sun/Moon = Uranus is motivated by change and turning worlds upside down,
Sun/Moon = Neptune is motivated by dreams and ideals or art,
Sun/Moon = Pluto is motivated by values, power and authorities, but
Sun/Moon = Ceres is motivated by the goddess of motherly care, nutrition and seeds or genes.
Let us say that you have to give me something to eat or drink if you want something done:). It is also true that I noticed that I like taking care of someone. (I should get a pet!)
ANGER
If I was an athlete, I would be happy today. Mars = energy!
Now I got angry! And I had every right to be angry! I had a very good reason to be angry! You know that song 'I am mad again'? If not, check YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpXPcnKWztU
I felt a bit like that, even though I had no friend who was messing around with anyone I love. It is over now. I am a MADame again. I even remained polite!
Don't worry!:) Transits get bye..
*)Transit Mars in Aries is square my Sun/Moon. Transit Pluto is conjunct my Sun/Moon. Transit Jupiter is inconjunct my Sun/Moon. The combination of Mars, Jupiter and Pluto often helps to achieve a lot (like the laundry:).

Sweet Pisces?
Pisces is often regarded as the sign of sweet romance, fancy dreams, ideals and self sacrifice. I see Pisces (especially MC, Venus or Moon in Pisces) in the charts of artists, too (see Art&Astrology). There are probably millions of nice Pisces. Most signs have more than 80% nice folks, I bet! That is also true for Pisces. But when those born under Pisces drift away in nasty fantasy or destructive ideologies, beware! The Sun is moving to Aries now. Time for a look at the edge of Pisces.
Here are 3 Pisces who weren't soft at all. Pisces is also the sign of enslavement and drugs, of victimizing and 'letting go'. On the edge of Zero Aries, I show a few bad Pisces. They acted like sharks.
1. JOSEF MENGELE
The chart of Josef Mengele (sadistic doctor in Auschwitz) is an example of that. The 'harmonious' sextiles and trines didn't help his victims. What is in that chart that made him so cruel? Why didn't he have a heart?
Mengele is a Pisces with Libra Moon inconjunct the Pisces MC. Venus is square Neptune. It is a kind of a pattern of artistic talent like the ones that can be observed on my blog Art&Astrology. In 1943, when he entered Auschwitz, transit Neptune was trine his Progressed Venus. Venus trine Neptune (romance, affairs and artistic visions): it's such a contrast given the situation!
Meanwhile transit Pluto was about to conjoin his progressed Ascendant. He had a motor accident and fever soon after his transfer to the horrific place where he was given free hand in medical tests with (for example) twins.
This man choose to become what can be seen in the chart if you read it in the darkest sense. H was a fanatic (Sun square Pluto) activist (Mars rises before the Sun!), follower (MC and Sun Pisces) of the Nazi ideas. With Sun conjunct Eris he lived amid and with discord; in fact, he joined it.
He studies to be a doctor (Chiron in the 9th house?) but he became a torturer in the end. In between he served in the army (Mars). But all the time he followed the road that suited him best, caring for his 'group' only. That is because of Mars-Saturn-Pluto and the calling Moon square AC and inconjunct MC.
What he became might be related to the position of the Moon and of Mars.
- Mars rises before the Sun, is in the 8th house of life and death, square Saturn and biquintile Pluto. The Mars-Saturn-Pluto combination often mirrors brutal force to achieve a goal. It is the combination that can be found in the charts of those who deal with the issue of unnatural death (of themselves or as a theme in life). Saturn is semi square the midpoint Mars/Pluto.
- Moon is in Libra, not making narrow major aspects. The Moon is inconjunct Midheaven and in the fourth house. When the Moon is 'calling' there can be emotions and 'feelings of
Quoting myself:
This unbalanced Moon ruled his Ascendant in Cancer. Cancer is a water sign and going with the flow in order to survive. The sextiles and trines made it easy for him to join the ones in charge. And the most prominent object in the chart (Moon, calling, ruler 1) was square Ascendant to make it hard to care for others.
Charts are to be seen in the context of history, social situation, gender and genes. This man was a doctor in Nazi times. He believed that he was the member of a supreme 'race' and that all that he did was justified by just that.
This was one example of a nasty Pisces.
II Joseph Edward Duncan III
Joseph Edward Duncan III was a serial killer, dressed up like a clown. I wrote about him before, in 2008.
http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2008/09/chart-of-joseph-edward-duncan-iii-and.html
III John Wayne Gacy
I don't like clowns, ever since I was a kid, and I know that I am not the only. This clown, John Wayne Gacy, was a serial murderer who was executed in 1994. He was a Pisces, born March 17, 1942. Here is the chart for the period of his first murder. He had transit Jupiter trine progressed Sun: a signal of success. In his eyes, he was lucky. And he was, because he wasn't caught and could go on killing.
The tightest aspect is a minor aspect: Venus sesquisquare Neptune. Venus is also trine Jupiter (a very narrow trine!). The combination of these aspects seem to indicate false romance (like fairy tale marriages, a big success on screen). Mars sesquisquare Pholus is also rather tight (frustrating turning point in activities or fights or... sex).
If you read his chart with the usual analysis, this is what you get:
1. Uranus and Mars are angular: short fuse on the horizon
2. Neptune is the planet of orientation (an idealist, ideologist, believer, artist or... someone who doesn't fit in the real world)
3. Movable signs and Sun/Moon in Pisces*) don't explain the killings, only the 'double' world that he created. Sun/Moon is opposition Quaoar and Neptune, illustrating being motivated by strange new fantasy worlds.
A sick person was born with key position for sudden anger and a fantasy world in the natal chart...
SO...
Every sign has examples of heroes and criminals. Pisces is no exception. The keywords of Pisces are:
cooperation, empathy, go with the flow, sacrifice, secrecy, miracles, idealism, imagination, fake, informal, no limits
But 'no limits' isn't limited to love...
A long time ago I had the birth data of 3 persons who misbehaved during WWII in prisoner camps. Apart from Venus-Pluto aspects I found that they had an overdose of placements in the water signs Cancer and Pisces. Going with the flow, or letting go is not always a quality of nice persons. Pisces aren't always sweeties. To describe persons like the 3 examples above as 'unconditional loving persons' would be far from right. However, perhaps, they really really loved their pet, who knows.

Quoting myself:
- Moon without aspects attrackts children. Everything related to children (education, care) will be highlighted. The Moon is of importance for memorising, like in history and when you play a certain role on stage, but also for cooks.- The other side of the calling Moon is that what you need is so important, that sometimes you are overruled by your needs. If this Moon rises before the Sun, the person involved will be lead by needs and emotions. When the Moon is 'calling' habits and needs may take over. There can be emotions and feelings of 'belonging to' at any possible level. This man didn't have compassion for those who didn't belong to his 'family' and 'group of people'. His 'calling Moon' was out of balance and he gave up on emotions (inconjunct Moon) for his goals (MC). He never felt sorry for what he did. He never had to pay for it. All that he had to give up was his country of birth (Moon inconjunct MC).

Progressed Sun/Moon conjunct Saturn
![]() |
| By Ben Salter (Wales) |
There is a lot of information here about Sun/Moon midpoint and Progressed Sun/Moon midpoint. The progressed Sun/Moon moves on and quickly change degree so that any aspect will soon be over. Just as soon as this post is... Progressions and transits are like trains passing. Both on the move...

Three steps to analyze natal charts
Using a certain self developed method helps you to analyze natal charts. I think that my method quickly shows the most important qualities of a chart. This blog is about that method. I also published it on Astromarkt.
Almost 4 years ago I published about the method in "4 steps to read a chart" and I used the chart of Sir Winston Churchill as an example. In the following years I learned, and now I use 3 (giant) step: Astro ID, character and 'special patterns'. Sometimes the first giant step is enough. Let me show you what I mean. You'll see that you get a clear picture of that difference, almost immediately.

What does the chart show us? The Astro ID…
The ID of a person describes special marks. The Astro ID is about special marks of the chart. The special position is for:
- the planet without major aspects like conjunct, sextile, trine, square and opposition within 5 degrees of orb or within sign. That planet is 'calling!' (drawing our attention and working at any possible level). The 'calling' planet is the most important prominent planet.
- angularity: the planet in a sharp and narrow angel with the Ascendant-Descendant line (conjunct, opposition or square) and the planet on Midheaven. Those are the cornerstones of the chart.
- the planet of orientation: the first (outer) planet rising before the Sun (that is the planet that you see first when you move your finger from the Sun clockwise). Skip Venus and Mercury (unless they are important because of another indication here).
There is at least one important position in your chart! If you have more than 3, it will be more difficult to focus.
HITLER: Sun and Uranus are calling, Mercury is angular = crucially rising before the Sun...That tells us that we deal with a : controversial - URANUS - communicator - MERCURY - and leader - SUN -. or someone with controversial opnions that are being noticed. Jupiter rises before the Sun. He is a controversial leader with an international orientation and oratory skills.
CARTLAND: The Astro ID shows a lot of prominent planets here, too. Venus, Jupiter and Mercury are calling! and Neptune is rising before the Sun. She has Moon, Jupiter and Saturn angular.
(You immediately see the Moon-Venus-Neptune prominence and realize that there could be some sort of artistic talent in the air, but maybe not art because there is no connection between Venus, Moon and Neptune).
Most important is Mercury-Venus-Jupiter combination 'calling', of course. It is a statement for successful and talented writing/talking, sweet stories etcetera, or for example for a popular (Venus-Jupiter) author (Mercury).
The difference between Hitler's chart and that of Barbara Cartland is obvious. The first chart shows a will to be special, a leader, someone who changes the world at any possible level. The second wants to talk or write nicely and kindly. That difference added with the circumstances (he a man, she a woman, he poor, she rich) makes a lot of difference.
!Not so well known people have important placements, too. They use them at any kind of level. The fact that their are a number of important placements doesn't always mean that the owner of that chart is a VIP. It is more that your see the main issues and the most important qualities!
Sometimes one step is enough, like with the charts of Adolf Hitler and Barbara Cartland. The first one brought us destruction and war, the other one romance... You could stop here (and come back tomorrow) because you just found the essential information in the chart. The Astro ID gave you just as much information as their official pictures do!:)
