Mars-Pluto/AC square Uranus: terrible accident

Accidents happen. Often, when they do, the Ascendant and/or Midheaven of the chart for the exact moment in time and place of the accident are related to Uranus, sometimes also with Mars and/or Pluto. The chart of the moment of the tragic accident in Spain on Wednesday evening, July 24, 2013,(now one year ago) confirms this.  Here it is:

1. It is a chart with a prominent placement for the trio of danger of death: Mars, Saturn and Pluto on the angles.

2. Pluto is on the Ascendant.

3. Uranus is square the Ascendant (and Pluto)

4. Mars is on the Descendant and rises before the Sun and Mercury. Mars is the symbol of iron. In the chart of the Belgian train disaster Mars is also the first outer planet rising before the Sun.

5. Midpoint Mars/Uranus is square Ascendant and square Pluto

6. Mars-Pluto/AC square Uranus: terrible accident. It was a dangerous (Pluto) day for high speed (Mars/Uranus) at that place (Ascendant).

Although the chart has a lot of ingredients for an accident, it is not so that this accident HAD to happen. The chart is mirroring an event, not vice versa. Accidents never happen because of one aspect. Here the conductor was wrong, the speed was wrong and the system didn't warn or function.

Right now there is also a combination of Mars-Uranus-Pluto. This combination often mirrors commotion, crisis or accidents.

Angela Merkel's accident with transit Uranus

Mars-Uranus is a frequent combination when it comes to accidents. So it is in the case of the accident of Angela Merkel (see BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-25622660 ), because transit Uranus is now square her progressed Mars. In the natal chart, Mars is out of bounds. Perhaps that increases the importance of transits and progressions from or with Mars.

Transits and progressions of Michael Schumacher's accident

The German F1 racer Michael Schumacher had a terrible ski-accident and is now in coma. The doctors say there is nothing more they can do but wait. Accidents don't come alone: they are accompanied by more than 2 important transits or progressions, always. The former Stigg had a number of dramatic aspects yesterday. They indicate being confused or isolated, warn for getting hurt and needing a cure. They also include challenge, danger and problems.

1. Progressed Sun is exactly square progressed Neptune. 
This aspect often accompanies a period of withdrawal or isolation. In the natal chart the Sun is semi square Neptune and Neptune is angular. That increases the importance of this progression. 
He is in coma and in hospital and that seems to correspond with the nature of Neptune.

2. Progressed Mars and Progressed Pholus both semi square transit Pluto
This aspect warns for danger of injuries. 

The two aspects above are valid even if the hour of birth is not completely correct. For the other transits and progressions, it takes more than that.

3. Transit Pluto on natal Sun/Moon midpoint (if the time of birth given by Astrodatabank is correct)
Sun/Moon is the point of heart and soul and of being motivated or not. Pluto intensifies motivations. The Sun/Moon-Pluto combination highlights crisis, issues of life and death and challenges in general.

4. Transit Mars square natal Moon
This is for a moment with a risk of getting hurt.

5. Transit Chiron is conjunct Progressed Moon, mirroring the need to heal.

6. Progressed Venus is inconjunct Progressed IC and in a growing sesquisquare with progressed Neptune.

There is no involvement of the 8th house, except for Pluto (natural ruler of 8) and Mars (ancient natural ruler of 8). In January and April/May transit Jupiter will be on the Progressed Ascendant (provided that the hour is correct!). Jupiter is the symbol of doctors, helpers and sometimes of hope that things will be getting better. His Jupiter, however is the ruler of the 8th house of life and death and of crisis. Given the situation, we will have to wait, see and hope for the best…

On happy houses and Transit Uranus square Sun/Moon

Recently I tried to verify the meaning of houses and rulers. Are they telling is something about a situation? Here is an example.

Someone close who had hot water over him with transit Uranus opposition Sun has a Uranus ruling the happy 5th house and Uranus sits in the 9th. In Indian astrology the 5th and 9th are the happy houses. (Maybe that helped, but who really verifies that?). He would have been more lucky if the water had fallen the other way.

EXPERIENCE: MY TRANSIT URANUS SQUARE SUN/MOON
See the September 6 post about Neptune conjunct my Ascendant (and Uranus square my Sun/Moon), both exact on September 4 and you may see that transits of Uranus are alarming, but what happens is not necessarily happening to you.

Here is another reminder of that fact:

• On August 31, 2012 I tweeted:
  "Transit Uranus exactly semisquare progressed sun and I had an alarming call today: mother broke hip."
  That moment certainly changed my way of life. She never recovered completely.

Uranus works like an alarm bell ringing. And my Uranus is co-ruler of 12 and in the 5th, with transit Uranus in the 1st house, in both cases.

What happened with Transit Uranus opposition Sun

Transits of Uranus are amazing, surprising or alarming and shocking, depending on the rest of the chart. Sometimes such a transit mirrors an accident, not necessarily happening to you. Maybe you 'just' see it happen...

TRANSIT URANUS OPPOSITION SUN
On September 4, 2013 transit Uranus was exactly opposition the natal Sun of my husband, at 13:42 MEST. Just  a couple of minutes later, he had an accident with hot water and had second-degree burn spots on his chest. Fortunately there is no reason to fear complications any more, and while he first looked like a modern mummy, he now has only one piece of bandage that covers about 30cm2.

WHY NOW, WHY THIS?
Transit Uranus opposition Sun often accompanies sudden changes. As Uranus was retrograding, there will be one more hit, on March 19 2014,with Uranus direct. Also on January 11, 2014 transit Pluto will be square his Sun. Uranus+Pluto means turbulence,  revolt and forced changes. It is red alert time now. Uranus+Pluto signal stress and nervousness.

No worries, there is not need to be afraid with only one transit Uranus. Of course, there were more transits and progressions at the same time, like always when there is an event that you will remember. There were two more transits:

• Transit Chiron (sesquisquare Sun/Moon: see the doctor) and 
• Transit Pluto conjunct Progressed Mars (danger to get hurt)

There were progressions, too:
- Remains of progressed Sun trine Pluto and
- remains of progressed MC square Uranus.
These two progressed aspects were exact only days ago. We are in a hectic period of many changes.

I don't believe in 'fate'. I think that it was, because of the impatient hurry or urge to complete what he was doing. 
Aware of the hectic and stressful aspects,  I had alerted him about hurrying in traffic, but then something else happened. With Uranus it is always 'something unexpected'. Uranus is amazing, surprising and shocking, indeed.

Uranus is for adrenaline. In hectic times, you have more of it and you tend to rush, hurry and make the wrong moves. And if you don't, you need the adrenaline to start running...(but only when there are more indications for this and when there is a situation allowing this to happen).

SO, lesson learned...:

• TRANSIT URANUS opposition SUN: don't hurry with work (6th) 

• TRANSIT PLUTO on PROGRESSED MARS: mind the danger to get hurt

The chart of the crash and death of Randy Rhoads

Randy Rhoads was born to be a rock star. The 'calling' Sun was biquintile his Ascendant. He played the guitar and had just begun to play in Ozzy Osbourne's band. On March 19, 1982 he was in a small plane that crashed into flames. The pilot had crashed before and was under the influence of cocaine.

Here is the chart, with transits and progressions for the fatal day:

Fiery car accidents and charts, re Michael Hastings and Dick van Dyke

On special request I pay attention to the chart of Michael Mahon Hasting, born January 28, 1980. He died in a fiery single car accident in LA, on June 18, 2013, only 33 years old. There are questions around that accident, that astrology can't answer. Here is what the charts of Michael Hasting and Dick van Dyke tell us about fiery car accidents..

Michael Hastings was a reporter.  He worked during the war in Iraq, where he lost his fiancé in 2007. He wrote a book about that (title: I lost my love in Baghdad, a modern war story).  I noticed some correspondence in the horoscopes of the day when he lost his love and the day that he lost his life.

Here is the chart of the moment of the crash (around 4:30 am) and here is the link to the video on YouTube, from a surveillance camera.

In green you see the positions of the day of birth of Michael Hastings. There is no hour of birth, so this story could be completed with transits and progressions of the Moon, Ascendant and Midheaven. Nevertheless, there are indications for what happened in his life, or rather: for what his chart did when there were important events in his life and when he died.

RISKS
A reporter in a war zone is a special person. In the natal chart the Sun is quintile Uranus, biquintile Mars and inconjunct the ' calling' Jupiter (for the international and the importance of travel, at any possible level, including horse power). Mercury is also 'calling'. Mercury + Jupiter increases communications and transportations. He travelled and wrote a lot.

The quintiles and biquintiles and especially the quintile between Mars and Uranus tell us about the creative short fuse, and creative acceleration of speed. The inconjunct  of Sun and Jupiter warn for the negative side of success and horse power. On the day of the fatal crash, the Sun was conjunct Jupiter.  Read about 'resonance': transits and progressions like in the natal chart, are more important.

When using (Mars) machinery or techniques (Uranus) there is always the risk of accidents. I read that he had a computer controlled car. Maybe something was wrong with the engine. Mars-Uranus also happens to be the symbol of explosions. This aspect combination in your chart warns you for speed, fire and getting hurt in general.*)

I read in the article on the NY Times, that he lost his fiancé, who was born on a June 16, on January 17, 2007. Progressed Mercury inconjunct Pluto and Neptune with transit Saturn quindecile Sun to accompany this. He shared a Mars quintile Uranus aspect with her (creative short fuse, taking risks).

T&P
There is a lot of sadness, fear, bad luck and Saturn in that moment.

1. The moment of the crash (see chart above)
The Ascendant of the moment of the crash is square Hastings Jupiter. Transit Midheaven quindecile his Mars represents the accident, hurting him.

2.
a. In the day before his death, transit Sun was conjunct his Saturn. It was the night of the day after the birthday of Andrea Parhamovich, his late fiancé. Maybe he thought of her, then.
b. There is another coincidence: the Sun of the day of the accident is exactly opposition the Pluto of the day of the death of his fiancé, Andrea Parhamovich.

There are 4 progressions, all with Saturn:
3. There is a progressed inconjunct between Venus and Saturn.  It is an aspect that often reflects depression with a loss involved. The importance of this progression depends on the angular or not position of Saturn or Venus in the natal or progressed chart.

4. There is a double Pholus-Saturn Progression: P Saturn opposition Pholus and Progressed Pholus opposition Saturn. How to define Saturn-Pholus? I'd say that it mirrors a depressing turning point, reaching a nasty point of no return. The importance of this progression depends on the angular or not position of Saturn or Pholus in the natal or progressed chart.

5. I already mentioned Sun-Jupiter in the chart of the crash and Sun inconjunct Jupiter in the natal chart of Michael Hasting.

6. Last but not least: Progressed Sun quindecile (165d) Saturn. Saturn sometimes ends.  A quindecile reflects a strong focus or even obsession. The combination mirrors a strong focus on the nasty sides of life. 

All in all there is no sign of success or happy times in the progressed chart.  The days around the accident weren't lucky days, either (Sun-Saturn, Sun-Jupiter). It might be that his Midheaven and Ascendant or P Moon had significant aspect, but without hour of birth that remains a mystery.

CONSPIRACY
There are conspiracy theories around the death of Michael Hastings (see: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/22/michael-hastings-email_n_3484118.html ) because he wrote an email saying that he needed to go 'of radar' for a while. 

The family says that they have no reason to have doubts about a sad accident.

And we only know what we are told and we only see the outside. Why he was on the road riding fast at this time of the night, nobody knows and nobody likes to talk about it. 

Astrologers aren't detectives.
Astrology is no tool to tell right from wrong, point fingers or give an answer about causes of death. Even not, when there is an hour of birth. That is because charts should be seen in the light of gender, genes, situations and cultures. Numbers of people were born on the same day as Michael Hastings.

• 1980 – Nick Carter, American singer-songwriter, producer, dancer, and actor (Backstreet Boys)
• 1980 – Yasuhito Endō, Japanese footballer
• 1980 – Brian Fallon, American singer-songwriter and guitarist (The Gaslight Anthem and The Horrible Crowes)
• 1980 – Michael Hastings, American journalist (d. 2013)
• 1980 – Jesse James Hollywood, American drug dealer and criminal

They didn't die this way. They are even alive and kicking right now.

The circumstances of the death of Michael Hastings raise questions, apparently, and what has been made public doesn't seem to satisfy a lot of people. There remain questions... Can cars catch fire so easily? They can, think of that long vehicle in LA -caused by a mechanical problem-and of the recent fire in the car of Dick van Dyke -see video- the other day!

DICK VAN DYKE CRASH
Here is the chart of his day of birth with transits and progressions for the day of the burning car. Watch the progressed Sun-Mars reciprocal aspects, T Uranus-Venus and P Mars-Uranus (resonating Mars trine Uranus in the natal chart). Dick van Dyke (87) didn't die. Michael Hasting (33) died.

It is hard to believe it, when young people die. Recently there was a hoax about Princess Diana (see post on chart and accident) being murdered by 'the army', maybe just to pay attention to the movie that is about to be released.

Could the accident of Michael Hastings indeed be an accident, just like the accident of Dick van Dyke was? The family and the officials say it was an accident. If it was not, this chart of his day of birth doesn't say it.

Jupiter when you die

If a chart, calculated for a time of birth, would give us the time of death, precisely, we wouldn't be happy but scared.  We are lucky that there aren't such charts. Being born on the same day, place and hour doesn't mean you will die on the same day (see that post: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2013/02/born-same-day-die-another-day-time-twins.html on time twins).

Charts can be read only in the context of culture, gender, genes, age and condition/situation. Changing the context helps a lot when a chart receives hard transits. That's, by the way,  an encouragement to make the world a better place and to try to have some peace.*)

We expect hard and nasty aspects for a day of death, but the truth is, that there is often a transit of Venus (to make things easier) or Jupiter (to improve a situation). When people say 'it was better for him (or her)…' there is often a Jupiter transit. Jupiter helps. Jupiter is the symbol of the doctor. But Jupiter is also the symbol of a passage, a voyage, moving on…

Yesterday Prince Friso, King Willem Alexander's brother died, age 44, while transit Jupiter was trine his natal Moon (11th Scorpio) and in the 8th progressed house (where the progressed Moon was, too). Jupiter trine Moon is one of the best aspects a person can get. And sometimes Jupiter simply accompanies death. Prince Friso was in coma for 1,5 years following a ski accident.

Margareth Hone, a Libra astrologer

Margareth Hone was a well known British astrologer and a Libra, born on October 2, 1892. She was known as Peg Hone in the 50's of the 20th Century.
Margareth Hone helped founding The Faculty of Astrological Studies in 1948. She worked with the important British astrologers of her days. What Libra can do for astrology, is finding allies and seeking balance working together and finding diplomatic ways to communicate the meaning of the chart.
She helped to found the UK Astrological Association. She wrote "The Modern Text Book of Astrology".

This is her chart. The transits and progressions are for the day of her death (see Progressed Sun inconjunct Progressed MC and transit Neptune - ruler 8th house of life and death - square Ascendant).

JUPITER URANUS
Most astrologers have a Jupiter-Uranus connection in their charts. It is different and not so obvious in the chart of Margareth Hone. Venus is in aspect with both Jupiter (trine) and Uranus (quintile). The Aquarian Moon (ruled by Uranus) is in minor aspect with Jupiter (67.5 degrees, a half sesquisquare).

Her prominent placements included the Mercury-Saturn conjunction rising before the Sun and the Venus-Chiron conjunction with the Ascendant. I'd say that this Mercury-Saturn points at the importance of science (and ambition to write or give instructions). There is a big trine between Sun, Moon and Neptune-Pluto in the 10th house. Neptune and Pluto are the planets of mystery and the ' supernatural' or say: spiritual. Maybe she was highly sensitive? (Was she involved in theosophy, like Carter?)
The elevated Vesta tells us about dedication, above all.

CARTER
Charles E.O. Carter appreciated her work. This famous astrologer knew Margareth Hone. Astrology (IMO) is symbolized by Jupiter-Uranus. The Jupiter-Uranus connection can be found in the synastry of the charts of Margareth Hone and Charles E.O. Carter.

•  Her Jupiter is trine his Midheaven (in aspect with his Jupiter/Uranus midpoint). 
• His Uranus is trine her Moon. 

As you may notice, Jupiter and Uranus are prominent in the chart of Carter. Jupiter rises before the Sun and Uranus is conjunct Ascendant. Jupiter is half semi square Uranus. Maybe that prominence tells us how important astrology was for Carter. This is his chart

Individual charts, groups and fate

A year and one month ago there were explosions in Oslo and a killer with an automatic gun shot and killed dozens on an island nearby. What did the charts of the people involved have to do with it? In this blog I want to share my thoughts about the role of the individual chart in times of group disaster (or glory). And I show you a strange interaction between the charts of the killer and the victims (even though he didn't even know them personally).

CHARTS HELP?
When disasters kill and injure many persons at the same time and place, astrologers are asked about the value of a chart. Some astrologers seek the tragic group destiny in the individual's chart. Others have difficult  theories about groups of persons brought together to pay for an invisible  guilt or fault in their past lives (I consider that an awful and unproven accusation, blaming victims). Fact is, that in a mass event there can't be a joint transit or progression. That is because it doesn't matter who you are.I think that charts of individuals are as helpful as characters would be in the given situation. Charts of individuals are sometimes insignificant. Charts of individuals only matter if there is a choice and a chance.

When you had no chance at all, like on that Norwegian island in a group assembled on the main square, or in an earthquake or tsunami, it doesn't help if you had a nice chart or only difficult aspects. That is because it doesn't matter if you are polite, or ambitious, or a dreamer or a fighter. Individuals are subject to the charts of their leaders (especially in a hierarchic situation or strict authority). Individuals are subject to the chart of their nation or specific place (when it is about war or natural disasters). Just as we all depend on the earth, the safety of the place where we live and (as a kid) of our parents.

In given circumstances, in a group, when there is a chance and a choice to make, there is a chance for the person's chart. Else, it is 'des astres'...There is no individual 'crime and punishment' or 'what comes around goes around' when it is about group events or the disasters in Japan or Somalia. 

NUANCES

When there is a chance for self rescue or when you are in the circumstances that enable you to survive, you will. The contrary is also true: the chart can be in your disadvantage. In times of war or disaster difficult transits and progressions make it harder to survive. Do you know 'I shouldn't be alive'? It is about people who almost died, but survived, often because of a strong will. In certain conditions, it is over when you give up. But there are, unfortunately, also situations that offer no chance at all. 

Just consider this....Transits, progressions and natal charts of individuals in times of war and danger might make a difference, at least for a while, and perhaps that is enough sometimes. But if you are a baby born in Somalia today the smallest nasty transit or progression might be enough to kill you. Those born with the same aspects but in wealth might only catch a cold. Circumstances, situations, genes, gender...they matter. When they are stronger than the will and character of one person, what can he/she do?

NORWAY

Nevertheless I started to study the data of the victims in Norway.  Then I found a strange correspondence between the chart of the anonymous victim and the chart of a killer, like in the case of the Oslo bombings and the later shooting. I have no idea why or what it means. I just noticed it.

The names and birth data of 4 of the Norwegian victims have been published in July. Three of the victims died in Oslo because of the explosions. One, the youngest, was killed on the island. They didn't know the murderer (Anders Breivik). They couldn't expect this to happen and they did nothing wrong to cause it. Their charts didn't help them. And even though the three victims in Oslo didn't know the person who was responsible for their violent death, and the fourth only saw him shooting, there is a connection between their charts and the chart of Breivik and it is in the movable signs. Breivik's progressed Mars was square transit Pholus (a turning point in aggressoin/a battle) in the degrees between 14 and 15 of the movable signs. His natal Pholus was in the 22nd degree of movable signs. His Neptune was in the 20st of movable signs. The Venus of the three victims in Oslo was:
- in the 20th of Virgo (square the Neptune of Breivik),
- zero Taurus (semi square the Mars of Breivik and square transit Pholus),
- 21.2 Virgo (square transit Mars and opposition the Pholus of Breivik).
- The youngest victim, killed on the island, had Venus in the 14th of Gemini (opposition transit Pholus and square the Mars of Breivik).

I don't know why it is Venus. I know that transit Pholus square the progressed Mars of Breivik is reflecting the shooting and the violence. Mars-Pholus is in aspect with the Venus of three of the victims. One of them had a Venus-Neptune synastry with Breivik and no Mars-Pholus link, but of course: the Ascendant or MC could be involved. It could just be coincidence and perhaps there is more. I stop here.
The data: 31 July 1954, 21 March 1950, 31 July 1978 and 7 July 1988.

CONCLUSION
My conclusion is that:
. the charts of people in group disasters are subject to the circumstances (disaster comes from 'des astres' = from the stars and that is outside our competence and reach)
. if characters don't matter, charts don't either
. the charts of victims only help when there is a chance and a choice
. charts of victims can work against the chances of survival in times of war and disaster
. there might be a connection between the chart of the anonymous victim and a group killer's chart, even if they didn't know each other. 
But it doesn't help anyone survive if they know this (just like it doesn't help them to find the reason afterwards)...so any study would just be 'for the records'. To me it is a confirmation of what I think: that you can't read charts without knowing the personal, environmental, social and political situation and circumstances. They matter. And ofen, they matter more. Like in a group disaster.

An individual football player can score and have a good day when his team loses the game, can he? And the team can have a great day and win, while the individual couldn't catch the ball (and the coach noted it). But in the end, the individual's position will be subject to the position of the team, unless he leaves the team. That is what makes it hard to predict the results of a match (though I tried, see the label 'football' and ' EC').

The accident and the chart of Prince Friso (with update)

UPDATE: today, August 12, 2013 Prince Friso died in The Hague

earlier: press conference of the hospital in Austria with bad news today (February 24, 2012). Serious brain damage might keep him in coma for long (if not forever). 

Today is a sad day for Dutch Prince Johan Friso and his family. Prince Johan Friso (or just: Friso) was born on September 25, 1968 at 8:48 a.m. in Utrecht (Netherlands) as you can see in the video. His mother is Queen Beatrix. The geboortecertificaat (Dutch for Birth Certificate) is shown in the end. Special thanks to AstroLogics for mentioning this video! 

The Prince was the victim of a snowslide or avalanche, covering him for about 20 minutes. He is now stable but still in danger. And the doctors aren't able to tell us what will happen next. It's of course a horrible situation for the royal family. Here you see the natal chart and transits, the progressed chart with transits and progressions and the event chart (12:15 this afternoon in Lech, Austria) with the positions of the day of birth of Friso. 

The earlier post was about the special effect of aspects in the natal chart being repeated by transit or progression. This accident happened with a double transit/progression between Mars and Uranus. They are the most important planets in the chart, as Mars is 'calling' (not aspected) and Uranus is rising before the Sun. That makes Mars and Uranus prominent in this chart. Together they are often involved in accidents and when injuries occur. Here:

1.  Progressed Mars is inconjunct natal Uranus. 
2. Transit Uranus is inconjunct natal Mars. That is a double inconjunction. 
3. There is also transit Saturn semi sextile Progressed Mars AND Progressed Uranus. Mars-Saturnus-Uranus is the combination of the serious accident or incident. There is even more...
4. Transit Uranus opposition Progressed Uranus and 
5. Transit Uranus opposition natal Sun...
6. Transit Neptune on the Progressed Ascendant. 
7. Transit Pholus sesquisquare progressed Ascendant (Pholus is also in aspect with his mother's Ascendant and opposition the Progressed sun of his elder brother William Alexander) and 
8. Transit Pholus square Jupiter. 
9. Transit Chiron inconjunct Midheaven (the third inconjunction, sign of a loss of balance). 
10. The event chart's Ascendant and Midheaven are inconjunct the Neptune and Pluto of the Dutch Prince.
11. Saturn is not far from the Ascendant and conjunct Progressed Mercury.

It is a long list of unfortunate transits and progressions for a man who went out in the snow when there was a high risk of avalanches. An accident never comes alone...

Zodiac jokes, a new constellation? and insurance figures

Allstate (insurance company) published figures of accidents for the 13 (...sigh) new signs (...sigh, sigh) and a lot of their costumers protested (they want serious companies:). 

Part of the 'joke' is that the company used the 13 signs of the astronomers (that is to say: the constellations, instead of the astrological signs). These 13 constellations used as sunsigns give uneaven signs (with different numbers of 'sign members'). For example, the number of accidents for Virgo (constellation, not sign) is that high because of the width of the sign and the number of ' Virgo's' (those who are a Virgo according to astronomers, of course, not astrologers!).  

Well, there IS a post (posted in 2007) about figures for the good old astrological signs here. The results of a study by a Dutch insurance company about deathly accidents in traffic and sunsigns were clear.Results of 2003 (published in 2005 in the Dutch newspaper Telegraaf):

In 2003 there were 1028 deathly victims in trafic in Holland. Of them, 106 were Aries, 106 Gemini, 100 Sagittarius, 100 Pisces, 92 Taurus, 86 Cancer, 83 Leo, 80 Virgo, 80 Aquarius, 76 Scorpio, 75 Libra, and only 43 of them were Capricorns. 

Capricorn is the most carefull sign! But it might just be coincidence for one year.  Is there any insurance company brave enough to publish real figures for the astrological signs these days? And if they do, can they also give a list of the most frequent tight major and minor aspects in the charts? Thanks in advance:)!

The poll with the question ' Should the signs be renamed' shows that almost all of you don't want other names, not even if the astronomers keep mistaking  'our signs'  for their constellations. So perhaps it is a better idea to rename the constellations, LOL:)! Good idea for the next poll? I already found a new constellation today...!

JUST KIDDING....

If everybody is naming and rearranging sunsigns these days, why not have a carsign, too? I don't want to upset astronomers, but their constellations carry the names given in a long gone history (probably by astrologers, even! oh dear). Those names haven't changed, but the world and our concepts changed! We still have to work with old fashioned names of constellations and we miss modern ideas! However, these bright lights can be connected either way, so that we get a modern sky, one with cars and computers and rockets, for example. I already noticed the carsign 'Speedy' today (see the picture). May I suggest that they consider renaming and refiguring the constellations? There is really not a snake at all, you know and no one who carries the serpent! It is all imagination! Draw another line and you get that car!

Progressions and life changing accidents

After a serious accident someone's lifestyle often changes, wether he or she was hurt or not. This is about the progressed Sun sign changing during an accident. And when I mean ‘sun sign’ I mean the tropical old fashioned Western sun sign, one of the 12. 

I have written about the progressed sun sign changing and a changing lifestyle before (here is the link: http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/01/progressions-progressed-sun-part-1.html_). The sun sign resonates a way of living and the transfer to the next sign is not always easy. When accompanied by difficult transits and progressed aspects and when it happens at old age, the life style change might be unwanted. Like when an accident happens. I show these examples to show:

Mercury-Uranus and traffic accidents

Mercury is fast enough, and when Uranus joins Mercury, things often go too fast or ...there is the risk of a sudden 'jam' or crash. Mercury-Uranus afflictions are 'traditional' indications for the risk of traffic accidents (but not the only ones and not alone...!).
In general, Mercury-Uranus excellerates or disturbes the mind (and mouth) and vehicles, too. People with Mercury-Uranus tend to interrupt others and say controversial or 'funny' things out of context, sometimes (at least: in the eyes and ears of others. There are a lot astrologers among them:). When they travel there is a risk of hectic times, maybe because of accidents. That is not always their own fault.

I have a few examples of Mercury-Uranus related to accidents: August Busch IV, Gloria Estefan and Laura Bush. Two of them caused an accident. August Busch IV  is in the news today after the death body of a woman was found in his house. He had a serious accident in 1983 that killed a young woman. Gloria Estefan had a serious accident in 1990 and had a hard time getting over it. And Laura Bush had an accident at age 17 that killed a young man and changed her forever.

Laura Bush wrote 'Spoken from the heart'. The sad story about the accident that cost the life of a young man and that was caused by a mistake of Laura Bush, made me have a look at her chart with progressions and transits for the fatal day. It is an Astrodatabank B-rated chart, but the progressed Midheaven square transit Neptune and Ascendant opposition Mercury seem to fit in the picture and these aspects are pretty close. Also watch transit Pholus close to Progressed Midheaven and square natal Ascendant (a crucial turning point). And see the progressed Sun sign changing: her life style was changing that year. Azaria and Lindy Chamberlain: 30 years ago

Azaria, the baby of Lindy Chamberlain (born March 4, 1948) was probably killed by a dingo, now 30 years ago. Nobody believed it. Lindy spent years in jail...Lindy Chamberlain wrote an 30^th anniversary letter, that you can see here…

The charts of mother and daughter, synastry, transits and progressions are reflecting a bad press (Lindy: Sun inconjunct Neptune), shared risk of accidents (Mars-Uranus synastry and Mars-Uranus transits), a period ending for the baby (Sun-Saturn) and restricted freedom (Saturn-Uranus transits) for the mother. 

AZARIA
When Azaria was taken and killed by the dingo, progressed Sun was exactly square natal Saturn (see the chart), as if to illustrate bad luck and hard times or...time ending. Here is her chart with transits and progressions for the fatal day (it is an Astrodatabank A-rated chart):

LINDY
Lindy Chamerlain was accused of the murder of her (never found) baby and sentenced, but released when a piece of torn baby clothing was found near a dingo’s nest. Here is her time unknown chart with transits and progressions for August 17, 1980 with observations...

Mars-Uranus and the progressed chart of Ted Stevens

Today there was the news about Ted Stevens' death following an air crash. It was the second time that he was involved in an air crash. In 1978 his wife died and he survived. It is also the second time that I post about Ted Stevens here. The first time was two years ago, when he was found guilty of corruption. Later, they dropped all charges because of  prosecutorial misconduct .

THE ACCIDENT AND MARS-URANUS

Ted Stevens Mars was square Uranus in the progressed chart. Mars-Uranus is a combination for accidents and fast changes or injuries. It was not the only hard aspect. Transit Neptune was opposition natal Mercury and that is typical for miscommunications and misty situations with transportation. There is no hour of birth for Ted Stevens, so that the transits and progression of the Ascendant and Moon are unknown. But it is clear that in the progressed chart the Sun was sextile Pholus. And that is another word for a turning point in life. With these three symbols together there the reflection might be what happened.

Paul Gascoigne's accident

This post is about Paul Gascoigne's natal positions, transits and progressions during the accident of June 13, about accidents in general and about the daily motion of the Sun (the solar transits). Some days are just more 'risky' than other days are. Transit Sun in hard aspect with Uranus is one of those days. Gascoigne had T Sun square Progressed Uranus on July 13.
On July 13 there was a car accident and Paul Gascoigne was one of the passengers.The driver (a woman) has been accused of driving under the influence of alcohol. Next July 28 'G8' will have to face the judge for a similar accusation. In February he was arrested for drink-driving. (See the news here...)

There is no hour of birth for Gascoigne's chart. The observations ar just observations of the positions for Gascoigne and time twins. They are not the complete astrological picture, because there is no known Ascendant (symbol of the situation) or Midheaven (symbol of the conditions). The Ascendant is very important in cases of accidents.

1. Natal chart
. Sun 105 Uranus
. Afflicted Mercury
. Saturn semi square Pholus
. Mars in a wide opposition with Saturn

2. Progressions and transits
. Progressed Sun square Lillith
. Progressed inconjunction of Neptune and Lillith
. Progressed Sun also conjunct Progressed Mercury (the symbol of communications and transportation)
. Transit Node square Eris
. Transit Jupiter and Uranus trine the 'calling' Jupiter (for the 'international' and for 'travelling')
A Jupiter/Uranus combination adds relief to every situation (in whatever way).
. Progressed Saturn conjunct progressed Eris
. On the day of the accident the transit Sun was exactly inconjunct Progressed Neptune and square progressed Uranus. The combination of Uranus and Neptune often indicates lost of consciousness (fainting).

ACCIDENTS
It takes more than 3 indications at the time to reflect serious incidents and accidents. Almost always the Ascendant, Mars and Uranus are part of the picture. I noticed that Saturn-Pluto-Ascendant midpoint combinations are related to the traffic accidents described in the famous book of C.E.O. Carter. HOW ABOUT YOU?
Check the Sun's daily motion trough the zodiac and see how the transits of the Sun make aspects with your natal or progressed chart positions. These transits contribute to a general picture of 'what sort of a day it was'. In this case, the square between transit Sun and progressed Uranus pointed at upheaval, incidents and accidents, nerves, being in a hurry and unpleasant surprises or...accidents. Uranus-MC and the Deep Horizon (Gulf) Explosion

Stepping from the site of Lynne Hayes to the link to Lucky in Love, I started wondering about Uranus-MC in the chart of this explosion,because I found so many Uranus-MC-aspects in the charts of explosions and yes: Uranus is quindecile (165 degrees) Midheaven. Uranus is the symbol of the flash. More examples? See the label 'Úranus' or 'Accidents'.

Another interesting observation: Varuna (God of the Ocean) at 20 Cancer, sesquisquare Ascendant and quindecile Ceres (symbol of mother Earth). For more astrological ideas about the disaster I like to refer to other sites:

Air crash kills Polish President

Here is the A-rated chart with some observations about the transits and progressions of Lech Kaczynski, President of Poland, who died in an air crash today with transit Pluto inconjunct natal Mars and progressed Mars semi square natal Saturn (ruler of the 8th house). Transit Mars was sextile the natal oriental Mars. Also transit Pholus wsa semi square Jupiter. In the natal chart Jupiter is conjunct Pholus (out of sign) and Mars is square Saturn.

His twin brother Jaroslaw was born 45 minutes earlier. He is also a politician. He was not on board of the plane and has transit Saturn trine Midheaven now.
