Magic Mike XXL in Channing Tatum's chart

Actor Channing Tatum’s chart has Venus Out of Bounds (27d19m20s N). This perfectly demonstrates how important his looks are. There is more in his chart that helped him to become a model. His astrological profile is in line with other attractive males.

Attractive males often have Venus in Virgo or Capricorn and Saturn in aspect with Venus or Ascendant and placements in Taurus and Libra, too. That is what I said and you see the examples in the article :http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2008/09/male-attraction-venus-saturn-taurus-and.html.
Channing Tatum’s hour of birth is unknown. That means that the position of his Moon, Ascendant and Midheaven are unknown. But at least we know that Magic Mike XXL has:

Sun in Taurus!
Venus exactly square Saturn!
Moon in either Virgo or Libra

Male sex symbols have this…

It is not enough to be a good looking, 'cool' guy. This male sex symbol also drew attention. On the day of his birth, Sun in Taurus didn’t make major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees. That is a ‘calling’ Sun! When Sun's are not aspected in a chart, this person will somehow (anyhow) seek attention.

You also need to be on the right place at the right moment and have a nice progressed chart. In 2005/2006 (debute and break through) his progressed Sun changed sign to make a square with Jupiter. A progressed Sun changes sign when your life style changes. Jupiter is the symbol of success, progression and growth. When the progressed Sun makes an aspect with Jupiter you progress in life. Or grow XXLJ:)

Right now, his progressed chart has Sun square Mars, to highlight his male energy. With Sun square Mars you are likely to be driven, energetic and (if your gender allows it) purely male.

Perhaps his chart with hour of birth reveals more  about his career. Here is his chart without DOB. It is the chart of the day of birth (in the USA).

PS ON OOB VENUS
In England, Marlon King (see Wikipedia) was born on the same day. He is in jail now (for reckless driving) and his football contract has been cancelled following accusations of sexual assault. In 2005 (Progressed Sun square Jupiter, for success, like Chaning) he was top scorer. There is a Mars square Uranus aspect for speeding in this chart, too. You see, it is up to you (and your situation/circumstances) what you do with life. Perhaps it is also in the hour and place of birth and the placement of Mars. And in the fact that OOB Venus lacks control.

An OOB Venus is like a 'calling' Venus (Venus without major aspects): somehow, anyhow you want to enjoy yourself, look good and have fun. It can be done on a high level of esthetics or in the world of entertainment. Or you just want to please yourself.

PS In this chart there is also a Mercury-Pluto-Saturn combination in the chart of April 26, 1980. That is for strategy in communications (and almost in every politician's chart). There are multiple choices to be made and of course they are limited by social circumstances and the hour/place of birth with crucial placements.

Virgo astrologer Edith Wangemann

Edith Wangemann was born August 29, 1917 in Germany. Together with her husband, and after his death alone, she practiced and studied astrology. She was married to an astrologer (Helmuth Wangemann). A picture shows that he knew Reinhold Ebertin. I have no idea how they made a living.

Astro.com mentions the couple's scientific approach. In her chart this might be mirrored by the position of their Saturn, rising before the natal Sun. This post is about the astrologer in her chart and about the way that Sun in Virgo shows up.

ASTROLOGER AND JUPITER+URANUS
Cosmic awareness is perhaps one of the best descriptions for Jupiter/Uranus midpoints and aspects. This aspect- or midpoint combination for the helicopter view is always present in the charts of astrologers (and astronauts). Maybe even also in the charts of astronomers, LOL.
It's also the midpoint of being inventive and the transit of 'sudden windfall'. Maybe, in the case of astrologers, the windfall is less 'unexpected':)...

There is also a Jupiter/Uranus connection in the chart of Edith Wangemann.
In the chart of Edith Wangemann midpoint Jupiter/Uranus is square Midheaven. The natal Sun is square Jupiter in Gemini*) and in quindecile (165d) aspect with the 'calling' VIP Uranus.  Her Sun/Moon midpoint semi square Mercury indicates that she was very motivated to communicate about her main interest (astrology).

Click for a better picture

BTW, her husband was an Aquarius with Sun square Jupiter and sextile ruler Uranus.

THE VIRGO ASTROLOGER
Now, in what way did she practice being a Virgo?

- keep up the standards and never believe it all
- contribute to perfect data
- find ways to use astrology in every day's life (without drifting away, I mean)

By studying charts, keeping record of it and
*) She particularly studied the charts of twins. Gemini is the sign of twins.

Narendra Modi's chart

It seems that Narendra Modi, born September 17, 1950 in Vadnagar, India, will be the next Prime Minister of India. Modi is a Hindu nationalist politician. His time of birth is unknown. Astrodatabank has two possible hours of birth for us, but no confirmation whatsoever. That is why the hours of birth for the charts are DD-rated. I stick to 'unknown'.

Those who vote for him want change and a better situation. Those who are against him point at his past (especially events in 2002 when he had Progressed Sun semi square Ceres) and say he did too little to stop the riots then.

In the chart of his day of birth and in his past political years there are enough indications for the kind of PM that he will be and in what situation he is now.

His Astro ID shows us:
1. Saturn rising before the Sun (the importance of ambition, classical education, parent and responsibility)
2. Jupiter 'calling' (no aspects within the 5 degree orb or in sign) for the international at any possible level
Jupiter and Saturn are in minor aspect (157.5 degrees), so it might take some time to realize the wanted 'growth' in a hierarchic scene
3. The Moon is Out of Bounds.
The OOB Moon works like a 'calling' Moon' and tells us that emotions and needs can reach any level. An Out of Bounds Sagittarian Moon might be an unlashed person who:
may not really BE cheerful, but you think acting cheerful is a good thing always. You need progress and good news, cannot do without and when you pretend being happy you might actually become happy (you hope). Sometimes you just overdo that! When things are getting wrong or bad you become nervous and hurried"

Because of the lack of an A-rated hour of birth, the angular position are unknown.

His character is illustrated by:
1. Sun in Virgo, Moon most probably in Sagittarius (or else: Scorpio) (at least: in Western astrology. Because in Vedic it might be different...)
2. Tight aspects between Sun, Mercury, Mars and Saturn. Sun-Saturn tight aspects are in the charts of politicians like Hugo Chavez, Turkish PM Erdogan, Robert Mugabe and Putin. They like to be the one (and/or the ONLY one) in charge...
3. Venus sextile Uranus (and Mars sesquisquare Uranus) for explosive passion
4. Sun/Moon midpoint in Libra (square Pholus around noon that day)
If he was born around noon and Pholus is in the spotlights, we might expect that he is very motivated to initiate change (in his life and in that of others) by cooperation.
This is the chart of a flexible, ambitious, very driven and disciplined person who wants change and excitement and who is in heart and soul a diplomat, motivated to cooperate.
It is no wonder that he made a career:)

There is a lot of Pholus in his chart today.
1. Progressed Sun is sextile natal and progressed Pholus
2. Transit Pholus is square natal Sun
It means that he is on a turning point  (of no return) in life and that he must take care of his footsteps. Here are more examples: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2010/04/pholus-files.html

There is also a Venus-Jupiter square in the progressed chart. That is good for popularity and bad for eating too much:).

PS
The only other VIP born on the same day is John Waldo "Fee" Waybill, a singer. The Sagittarius Moon is semi square Neptune and square Venus in the hours around noon. That is a pattern for talent, see Art&Astrology.

Margareth Hone, a Libra astrologer

Margareth Hone was a well known British astrologer and a Libra, born on October 2, 1892. She was known as Peg Hone in the 50's of the 20th Century.
Margareth Hone helped founding The Faculty of Astrological Studies in 1948. She worked with the important British astrologers of her days. What Libra can do for astrology, is finding allies and seeking balance working together and finding diplomatic ways to communicate the meaning of the chart.
She helped to found the UK Astrological Association. She wrote "The Modern Text Book of Astrology".

This is her chart. The transits and progressions are for the day of her death (see Progressed Sun inconjunct Progressed MC and transit Neptune - ruler 8th house of life and death - square Ascendant).

JUPITER URANUS
Most astrologers have a Jupiter-Uranus connection in their charts. It is different and not so obvious in the chart of Margareth Hone. Venus is in aspect with both Jupiter (trine) and Uranus (quintile). The Aquarian Moon (ruled by Uranus) is in minor aspect with Jupiter (67.5 degrees, a half sesquisquare).

Her prominent placements included the Mercury-Saturn conjunction rising before the Sun and the Venus-Chiron conjunction with the Ascendant. I'd say that this Mercury-Saturn points at the importance of science (and ambition to write or give instructions). There is a big trine between Sun, Moon and Neptune-Pluto in the 10th house. Neptune and Pluto are the planets of mystery and the ' supernatural' or say: spiritual. Maybe she was highly sensitive? (Was she involved in theosophy, like Carter?)
The elevated Vesta tells us about dedication, above all.

CARTER
Charles E.O. Carter appreciated her work. This famous astrologer knew Margareth Hone. Astrology (IMO) is symbolized by Jupiter-Uranus. The Jupiter-Uranus connection can be found in the synastry of the charts of Margareth Hone and Charles E.O. Carter.

  •  Her Jupiter is trine his Midheaven (in aspect with his Jupiter/Uranus midpoint).
  • His Uranus is trine her Moon.
As you may notice, Jupiter and Uranus are prominent in the chart of Carter. Jupiter rises before the Sun and Uranus is conjunct Ascendant. Jupiter is half semi square Uranus. Maybe that prominence tells us how important astrology was for Carter. This is his chart

The picture above is Jacob Jordaens idea of Libra (17th Century), found on Wikipedia.

Born same day and yet so different

A chart without hour of birth is not a real chart. It is just a circle with positions on a certain day , mostly for noon. The picture doesn't inform us about angular positions, the exact degree of the Moon, the Sun/Moon midpoint, the Ascendant or MC. It is a limited chart and in fact just a circle with data from an ephemeris. The chart without hour of birth informs us about elements, most placements in sign, most aspects, the planet rising before the sun, unaspected planets en most of the midpoint combinations.

Charts with an hour of birth contain all of the astrological information and yet are limited as well. They don't tell us if the chart was meant for an event, a man or a woman, an animal or nation. Charts don't inform us about the gender, genes, culture, social circumstances or status. Charts also don't inform us about sexual preferences. We can't judge by means of a chart in case of crime, either, because the planet combinations introduce themes and issues, but never tell us 'who did it'  . See the label crime or crimes for examples.

Example PICTURE: 14 September 1983

An example is the chart for noon of September 1983. There is some astrological info. This chart tells us about:
  • passion (because Venus and Mars are rising before the Sun),
  • flexibility (because of the amount of placements in flexibel = mutable signs)
  • being fiery (and risking a burn out or 'burn up')
  • creativity (not per se as an artist: it is about creative ways)
  • ambition, somehow and anyhow (because of the fact that Saturn doesn't make any major aspect in sign or orb 5 degrees)

BORN 14 SEPTEMBER 1983

Thousands were born on September 14, 1983. Among them where:
- Atlete Mestawet Tufa
- Singer Amy Winehouse (died 23 July 2011)
(BTW Astro.com has a time of birth: 22:25. It is a 'hear say' via friends of the mother)

CONCLUSION

The symbols of astrology can't be adapted to each and everyone. All those born on September 1983 are Virgo. It is not quite clear how they expressed that. As they aren't all pedophiles, singers or athletes, there must be more than the natal positions that 'made them' who they are or were. Even a chart with hour of birth can't tell it all. But... we can use the chart the other way!

The importance of sexuality and passion (Venus and Mars in the chart, prominently placed) is a catastrophe for someone with a sexual defect (and much more: for his victims). A love relationship paved the way to the end of Amy Winehouse. Athletes however may benefit from the importance of control and ambition (Saturn) and the fiery nature. But not unless there is a genetic basis and training, of course. It is in the way that you 'use it'. There is enough drive and ambition in this chart for various ways. Even for twins. And there is of course some correspondence in transits and progressions (with differences, also!).

Sun signs in China

In China Scorpio (and Virgo) people find it hard to get a job. Employers prefer Capricorns, or those born under Libra or Pisces. Is that true? It is a crazy story! Can anybody please tell those bosses that people are not their sun sign and that all signs have necessary qualities? French coach Domenech tried to win with a team without Scorpio's and he failed (but maybe not because of that:). It is a pity that China has no free internet (recently Turkey followed into China's footsteps). And that there are so few of them who speak English. Or else they could join the international astrologer's community and see that there is no reason to force Scorpio's to start their own business and become 'the competition'! Think of that, Chinese employers! (and no, I am not a Scorpio, but I hate it when astrology is being abused to blame or hurt 1/12th of the population). It is a cheap alternative for a psychological test and just another way of making up your mind by using an oracle. The nasty thing is bias and prejudice. Those kinds of qualifications are rather silly, but I am afraid that that is the way that astrology is being used by the millions. And not just in China. Most of us started with sun sign astrology and not with the picture of a chart. And isn't it easy to put a sticker on a person and disqualify or not in a second? It is as childish as avoiding red heads or fat people.

Now that I said this I must admit that shortly after problems with a Gemini I had just a second of second thoughts when I met another one! Just one second! I am only human, sorry! I want to put disclaimers at the end of articles about sun signs, telling people that a person is not a sun sign. Hope that it helps, but I have my doubts! It might be too late for Chinese Scorpio's!

Would you avoid to employ a Scorpio? Do you judge people by their sun sign? Just for one second? Do the poll and choose what sign you wouldn't give a job if you were the manager! Or select: I wouldn't select by sign!

Bachelors, Virgo and Virgins

It is almost Virgo time, Venus is in Virgo and Virgo reminds me of Virgin, though they are not as cool as they appear to be, always:). I remember the Happy Virgin with Venus in Virgo-story (see: http://astropost.blogspot.com/2008/10/happy-virgin-with-venus-in-virgo-clara.html) who born with the  Sun in Libra (and never married, by the way). There seem to be more batchelor with Sun in Virgo or in Sagittarius than in other signs, but I keep finding Libra when I look around. Take for example Cliff Richard. He is a Libra with Venus in Virgo, too. He even sang about bachelor boys! (See YouTube: http://youtu.be/cQRytgGffV4

The 'domesticated batchelor' produced a list of famous bachelors in history (see: http://www.thedomesticatedbachelor.com/2009/11/10/famous-historical-bachelors-a-list/) among whom: Ludwig von Beethoven (Sagittarius) and other componists, like Maurice Ravel. I know that Ludwig was in love with a woman once, but were they all real bachelors or were they homosexual in secret (don't tell, don't ask:). I am still looking for the hetero sexual die hard bachelor, not necessarily completely anti sexual. I mean the romantic figure who is overaged but handsome and lives in a castle waiting for the perfect bride (YOU!) to come bye. And there is one on the list: Hugh Grant! Let's see if his Venus is in Virgo...Helas! On September 9, 1960 (that is when he was born) the Sun is in Virgo and Venus is in Libra (square Saturn). Maybe a bachelor is simply created when either the Sun or Venus is in Virgo or Libra? Of course, not all Venus or Sun in Virgo remains unmarried. But apparently they are more picky when it comes to choosing a bride.

Moon in Virgo opposition my Ascendant

There is a difficult connection with the internet today, so I make it short and quick and I won't add a picture of a bar of soap...
I just had to tell about what happened with Moon in Virgo on my Descendant. I met a rather silly and dirty lady with red blooded holes in her legs. She insisted to tell me all about those legs in a language that I hardly understood. I said that I didn't quite understand her and expected her to move on, but...heard her say that she didn't mind if I understood her, because she would tell me anyway. It was about a hotel refusing her because of the legs and a doctor who was to see her at 3 pm. My bus arrived and I started to move. She said goodbye and took my hand and started shaking! Then I realised that she had just touched the shorts that covered her wounds and had pointed at a deep red and orange hole in her leg. I don't know if she was just silly or if it was on purpose, but I know that I reacted very Moon in Virgo-like. Moon is need. Virgo is hygiene. Descendant =because of other folks. I was grateful for the desinfective liquid hand soap that happened to be in my bag and I hope that I removed all of the bacteria. Next Moon in Virgo I won't shake hands and try not to be polite...Coincidence? Maybe it was, but it was so much in line with Virgo that it just had to be told.

Chart of Marco van Basten (former coach of Ajax)

Sorry for the inconvenience! I accidently hit 'publish' when I had not finished the job. That will display an unfinished post on Astrodispatch, even without a title. So here is in short my post about Marco van Basten, with the link to the completed post on Astropost.blogspot.com.

A lot of newspapers are analysing Marco van Basten's exit (as the coach of Ajax). Miscommunications, unexplaned decissions and the distant attitude of the coach are often mentioned. There are explanations for this attitude in the natal chart, such as:
- Saturn - symbol of restrictions - in the third house of communications and related to Sun/Moon and ASC/MC
- Mercury conjunct Neptune, the recipe for misunderstandings
- the Moon in Virgo for 'understatement' when emotions are concerned

For the eventual loss of the job I see:
- Progressed Sun inconjunct Jupiter in March (success, but...)
- transit Mars inconjunct Sun last Sunday (losing the match, being the target)
- transit Neptune opposition Mars (disappointment on the job)

See Astropost for the complete post.

Exit Marco van Basten, Saturn, Virgo and inconjunctions

Marco van Basten is no longer the coach of Ajax. There are a lot of analyses in the newspapers. One of the comments about Marco van Basten is that he failed to communicate with the members of the team. Another one is that his decisions were not always understandable and never explained. One of the members of the team says that he was always at distance and did not show emotions. There is an explanation for that attitude in his natal chart. This post is about:
- the influence of Saturn and Virgo on the way that he communicates,
- the conjunction of Mercury and Neptune on the way his ideas are being communicated and understood
- and about the inconjunctions with Mars (transit) and Jupiter (progression), reflecting the loss of his job.

COMMUNICATING WITH SATURN AND VIRGO
The distant communications are reflected by the very important Saturn in the third equal house, on cusp 3 of the Placidus house, by Mercury in Scorpio conjunct Neptune and by the Moon in Virgo.

SATURN IN 3RD HOUSE
Saturn is the symbol of distance and of the official. Saturn is always restricting, limiting and raising barriers. Marco van Basten’s Saturn is important. Saturn is sesquisquare the midpoint Sun/Moon: he is in heart and soul serious, a businessman, the manager, ambitious. Saturn is half semi square the midpoint Ascendant/Midheaven, too. This means that he is 'all in all' cool, ambitious and business. Van Basten’s Saturn is in the 3rd house of communications. So Saturn will limit communications to what is 'necessary' to fulfil the job.

MOON IN VIRGO
The Moon in his chart is not positioned in the most expressive sign for emotions. The Moon in Virgo is a cool moon, a moon for 'understatements' and modest behaviour. But Van Basten is 'the man in charge'.

MERCURY CONJUNCT NEPTUNE
Mercury conjunct Neptune symbolizes misunderstandings. This aspect reflects how his decisions were ‘understood’. I have written about that aspect before in the post about Rudolf Steiner:
.
“MERCURY CONJUNCT NEPTUNE
The final dispositor of the MC, Neptune, is conjunct Mercury. Cafe Astrology describes the conjunction of Mercury and Neptune. It is the aspect that joins facts and fantasy. Also read my blog, where I mention the aspect Mercury-Neptune:
"When you have to invent stories because you are an author, this aspect can be a blessing, but in real life it is not easy. For an example, see the charts of Gerard and Guillaume Depardieu. BTW, Brad Pitt (actor) has Mercury sextile Neptune, tightly. More about Mercury-Neptune on this blog Astropost: about the Friedman case." (i.e. Mercury inconjunct Pluto
)”

LOST JOB: INCONJUNCTION AND NEPTUNE
With transit Neptune opposition Mars and Mars inconjunct his Sun, Marco van Basten's Ajax lost last Sunday (4-0) and the coach gave up his job. Inconjunctions symbolizes loss. Neptune reflects disappointment.

Then he told the team that he left, shook hands and disappeared. Short, cool and without emotions.

JUPITER’S INCONJUNCT
Jupiter was on his side in the summer of 2008, read that post...

The year before that he has progressed Mars trine progressed Jupiter. The progressed Jupiter of Johan Cruijff was on the progressed Midheaven of Van Basten in 2008. The support of Cruijff contributed to his position in Ajax.

Jupiter is of importance in his chart. Jupiter is quindecile his Sun and also quindecile his Ascendant. There are 3 midpoint combinations of Sun, Jupiter and Ascendant. (They symbolise his successes). Jupiter rules his first house (the Ascendant).

In March 2009 the progressed Sun was inconjunct Jupiter. That was when the first polls appeared with results like 'he'd better play football instead'. And that was shortly after Ajax won an important match (from FC Utrecht with 2-0). So he had success (Jupiter), but...(inconjunction)...

About the effect of the inconjunction
For more examples of inconjunctions….

*) Recently Elsa wrote about the influence of the present transit of Saturn in Virgo:

Multiple marriages, double bodied signs and Jupiter in 7

This Astropost is about Jupiter in the 7th house and about Venus in double bodied signs like Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. They are seen as an indication for multiple marriages or serious relationships. I explain what a double bodied sign is and I give some famous (controlable) examples (Ira von Fürstenberg, Jacqueline and John Kennedy, Hugh Hefner, Marilyn Monroe, John Lennon, Tina Turner, Barbara Streisand and more...).

DOUBLE BODIED SIGN
The mutable or movable signs are double bodied signs. Two of them are related to twins or look-a-likes: Gemini (the twins) and Pisces(2 fishes). Two of them figure a human being and an animal: Virgo (maiden and bird) and Sagittarius (man and horse). I suppose we should expect a difference in the effect of these double bodied signs. Dualism (Virgo and Sagittarius) or 'two of a kind' (Gemini and Pisces), that is the difference. But there are more differences, related to the element of the sign.

MOVABLE IN FIRE, EARTH, AIR AND WATER
Gemini is an air sign, a sign that belongs to the trine of communications, relationships and communities (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius). Virgo is an earth sign, a sign that belongs to the trine of materialism, efficiency and realism (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn). Sagittarius is a fire sign, a sign that belongs to the trine of energy, vitality and spirit (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius). Pisces is a water sign in the trine of Cancer (emotions and memories), Scorpio (processing, continuation) and release (Pisces). Of course other words can be used in the astrological vocabulary. What difference could there be between having Venus in Gemini or Pisces or a Venus in Virgo or Sagittarius. And how can these double bodied signs be related to marrying more than once? I will give some examples of men and women with Venus in double bodied signs. These examples will also show the flexibility (...sic) of charts. One placement in one sign does not tell it all...It remains possible, for example, to get married and divorced several times even when Venus is not in a double bodied sign or with Saturn in the 7th house instead of Jupiter! More about that at the end of this post.

VENUS IN GEMINI
Venus in Gemini is Venus in an air sign and in a flexible sign. Gemini reflects youth (the first contacts). Venus in Gemini has a preference (Venus) for what is young and for the period of youth in general. When you marry young or when you marry the person you loved when you were young, the chance of marrying again was great in the Middle Ages. Women died young (having a baby, for example). In the chart of males Venus in Gemini would start seeking a replacement, someone just like the lost person, someone young. In the chart of women Venus in Gemini would prefer to marry young and to look young. But there would always be the chance of marrying twice. They are the young woman and you look younger when you marry an older man.
BTW You don't need to divorce to have multiple partners. How about dancing?

JACQUELINE KENNEDY
Think of Jacqueline Kennedy. She married John F. Kennedy when she was 24 and that is not extremely young. When he died, she married an older man (Onassis). Her Venus is in Gemini and opposition Saturn. Jupiter is in her 7th house. There are two indications for marrying more than once (Venus in Gemini and Jupiter in the 7th). The usual indications for divorce are not found (they are: Sun afflicting or conjunct Mars or Uranus, Venus afflicting or conjunct Uranus and/or Mars afflicting or conjunct Saturn and/or afflictions between the 1st and 7th house). We see Venus (ruler 7) in the 8th house and in the 22nd degree.

So maybe Jaqueline Kennedy's Jupiter and Venus are bad examples. But although her second husband was older, he looked like Kennedy in one way: he was just as rich and enabled her to travel (Jupiter in the 7th house).

(Astrology.com has a site to release stress coming from the 22nd degree.
http://www.astrologycom.com/releasestress22.html)

JOHN F. KENNEDY
John F. Kennedy married only once but he had several 'relationships' while married. It is said that he hired a dozen of prostitutes once and a while. Moon square Venus in double bodied signs reflect the need for women. And Jupiter is in his 8th house (of sex) and not in the 7th (of marriage). Had he still lived and stopped being a president, he would likely have had a divorce. There are two out of four indications for a divorce: Mars is square Uranus, Venus is semi square Neptune.

IRA VON FÜRSTENBERG
Socialite and actress Ira von Fürstenberg has Venus in Gemini and she married twice. She also has Jupiter in the 7th house. Again we see two indications for 2 marriages. However, this lady also has Saturn in the 7th house. Fortunately for her, Jupiter is more important in her chart as Jupiter is rising before the Sun.

Ira von Fürstenberg married when she was only 15 and her husband was 31! (Venus conjunct Mars often makes a quick start!). The marriage ended in divorce after 5 years and was annuled 9 years later. The second time she married an even older man (24 years older) and divorced less than 3 years later.

There are little indications for divorce in her chart, except for the half semi square between Venus and Uranus. So this Venus in Gemini might be a good example of marrying young and twice. The presence of Sun, Saturn and Jupiter in the 7th house is also pointing at the importance of partnership.

VENUS IN VIRGO
Different kind of relationships are to be expected with Venus in Virgo. Ingrid Bergmann, John Lennon, Roger Moore and François Mitterand had Venus in this flexible earth sign. Practical art and a cool look are other ways to express Venus in Virgo.

INGRID BERGMANN (Venus in Virgo)
Ingrid Bergmann (29 August 1915 at3h30 CET Stockholm) was born with Venus in Virgo and Jupiter in the 8th house. She married twice and in between she had a nine year affair that caused a scandle in those days. There are no indications for a divorce in her natal chart. So the position of Venus seems to be a good example for this post.

JOHN LENNON (Venus in Virgo)
John Lennon married twice. Once when he was young (Mercury in the 7th house), divorced and married someone older than him. In a period of this marriage he left her for a very young girl. His chart shows a disproportional need for love and women (Moon inconjunct Venus). Mars in Libra is (IMO) related to divorces because Mars is not in the right place in Libra and 'fighting each other' might be the effect when cooperation ends.

He had Venus in Virgo, a flexible earth sign. Venus did not make any Ptolemaic aspect in sign or orb 5 degrees, so Venus was 'calling'. His Venus was inconjunct Moon in Aquarius and 22.5 degrees (half semi square) Saturn. Venus (ruler 7) and Mars (ruler 1) are semi sextile. There is an opposition of Mercury in the 7th with Saturn and Jupiter in the 1st house. That is the indication for possible divorce.

John Lennon was an artist. Artist tend to divorce more often than others (and they can afford it:). He could not find a balance between his preferences and his needs. Venus in Virgo is reflecting two DIFFERENT kinds of marriages.
About John Lennon and his relationships, see an earlier post:
http://astropost.blogspot.com/2008/10/astrology-chart-of-john-lennon-and.html

ROGER MOORE (Venus in Virgo)
Roger Moore married four times. He has Venus in Virgo and ruler 7 is Uranus at Aries Point. Moon opposition Saturn is an indicaton for getting divorced, but it is only one. So Venus in Virgo seems to be a good example for this post about double bodied Venus-signs related to several marriages. BTW, Moon is in Gemini on top of his chart.

Roger Moore is one of the James Bonds in my article on Astromarkt about the astrological pattern that James Bond shares with James Bond: http://www.astromarkt.net/artbonduk.htm

FRANCOIS MITTERAND (Venus in Virgo)
François Mitterand (26 October 1916 at 4 GMT in Jamac France) had his own way to have several relationships. He even had them at the same time. His Venus is in Virgo AND Jupiter is in the 7th house.
See for more about Mitterand: http://astropost.blogspot.com/2008/10/when-ladies-smile-like-in-chart-of.html

VENUS IN SAGITTARIUS
As Venus is in a flexible fire sign, the second marriage partner should be different or there would be a completely different kind of relationship the second time. You can see that in the charts of Tina Turner, Jeanne Moreau and Albert Mol.

TINA TURNER
Tina Turner married once. She never married again but...She is living with EMI record executive Erwin Bach since 1986.

She had multiple indications for divorce (Sun ruler 1 tightly square Mars and quindecile Uranus ruler 7, Venus biquintile Uranus and Mars septile Saturn) in her chart when she was born. This amount of indications in the chart of a woman usually point at being self sufficient and independent enough to be able not to marry. See Uranus ruler 7 on top of her chart, too. With Mars in the 7th house inconjunct Pluto and 75 degrees from Uranus the chart is reflecting the abuse in her first marriage.

Venus ruler Midheaven AND 5th house of pleasures, entertainment and the other gender, is in Sagittarius. Venus is square the oriental Neptune. This is a statement for an artist and for sensitivity. Sagittarius is a flexible fire sign (and she moves enthusiastic, doesn't she?:). Her Venus is also square Jupiter. The combination of Venus-Jupiter and Neptune is telling us that she has a devoted audience (Jupiter-Neptune) related to beauty or arts (Venus). See Art & Astrology...http://art-astrology.blogspot.com/2008/12/astrology-chart-tina-turner.html
Venus in Sagittarius made her relate to a different kind of person in a different kind of relationship (not officially married, but in a long lasting relationship; Venus trines Saturn).

JEANNE MOREAU
Jeanne Moreau, the French actress, married twice (briefly) and had several spouses. She has a Sagittarian Venus, ruling her Ascendant. An indication for possible divorce is the aspect of the Sun semi sextile the oriental Mars. And how about the independent Moon in Aquarius on top of the chart? She is rich and famous enough to be able to divorce when needed and wanted. Perhaps that is why it takes no more than a double bodied Venus to marry more than once.
See her chart on Art&Astrology: http://art-astrology.blogspot.com/2009/02/astrology-chart-jeanne-moreau.html

ALBERT MOL
Dutch comedy actor Albert Mol had Venus in Sagittarius. He was homosexual but married a woman and had children with her. Mol (born 3 January 1917 at 3 AMT in Amsterdam) also had Moon in Taurus. Perhaps having children was a reason to get married at the time. Indications for divorce are Moon in the 7th at 75 degrees from Saturn and the half semi square between Mars and Uranus.

VENUS IN PISCES
Venus in Pisces is a flexible Venus in a double look-a-like sign. But Venus is also very sensitive, empathic and romantic in Pisces. That is why so many artists have Venus in Pisces or Venus related to the ruler of Pisces. Examples? See my other blog: Art&Astrology.

RICHARD NIXON
Richard Nixon (9 January 1913, 21h30 PST Yorba Linda) had Venus in Pisces. He never divorced, but often left his wife Pat alone in the White House while he spent his days with his friends. Is it surprising that Neptune, the ruler of the house of marriage (the 7th) is in the 11th of friends? Also notice that the Moon is in Aquarius, not making Ptolemaic aspects within 5 degrees. That is an indication for a very strong need to be in the company of friends and equals. It also illustrates a need to be independent and free. There are no indications for divorce in his chart. And he seems to have appraciated his wife and his marriage.
There is an article on Astromarkt about the chart of Richard Nixon, that I wrote in 2005: http://www.astromarkt.net/artnixon.htm.

BARBARA STREISAND
Barbara Streisand has Venus in Pisces, the last of the flexible signs. Venus in Pisces is not uncommon in the charts of artists. Venus rules her 7th house and is square Jupiter, sesquisquare Pluto and biquintile Uranus. Notice the combiation of Venus, Jupiter and Pluto for the great success as an artist.

There are little indications for possible divorce in her natal chart. Mars (ruler 1) is semi sextile Saturn. And that is it. So in this case, Venus in the double bodied sign is a good example. Of course, in this chart Venus disposes of the 7th house of partnership and that might be the reason for having two marriages.

See more about her chart on Art & Astrology: http://art-astrology.blogspot.com/2008/12/astrology-chart-barbara-streisand.html

HUGH HEFNER
Is there a better example than Hugh Hefner? He has Venus in Pisces and as Venus does not make any major aspect in sign or orb 5 degrees, Venus is 'calling'. We can clearly see that. See the post about his chart: http://astropost.blogspot.com/2008/10/playboy-hugh-hefner-and-his-chart.html

JUPITER IN THE 7th HOUSE (for more than one marriage)
Jupiter symbolizes multitude, 'more and more' and growth. Either you grow in marriage or your partner does, sometimes you both get fat:) That is one way to express the influence of Jupiter. There are more. For example: getting married more than once. The reason that Jupiter symbolizes successes and overload is that Jupiter is the biggest planet of them all.

MARILYN MONROE
Marilyn Monroe was born with Jupiter in the 7th house. She married a few times. The first time she was only 16 years old and she married asap. The second time was for 9 months only. And the third time her husband (Arthur Miller) left her for someone else. She has Sun (ruler 1) quintile Uranus (ruler 7) for a creative way to be independent and free through relating. She married instead of going to an orphany! She has Jupiter in the 7th opposition Neptune in the 1st and that is an indication for possible divorce. So is the Moon in 7 opposition Neptune. Mars is trine Saturn in the 22nd degree of Scorpio at the bottom of the chart. And Venus is in Aries (like in the chart of Elisabeth Taylor).

FRANÇOIS MITTERAND
François Mitterand had Jupiter in the 7th house and Venus in Virgo (see there). He had several partners while he was married.

J.W. JONES
J.W. Jones, the notorious sect leader (13 May 1931, 22 hours in Lynn IN) had Jupiter and Pluto in the 7th house with Venus in Aries square Saturn in the first house.

In the charts of less famous people Jupiter in the 7th house may have the same meaning. But there is also the possibility that you marry to progress or travel together. Let us face it: with Jupiter in the 7th house you may be lucky to get married and there is an advantage if you do. So why wouldn't you do it twice?

MULTIPLE RELATIONS WITHOUT MOVABLE VENUS SIGNS OR JUPITER IN 7...
Finally, to prove stats wrong, I like to mention the chart of Elisabeth Taylor, the woman who married 7 times with Venus in Aries (not a double bodied sign at all). Uhm...wrong, I said? The cusp of her 7th house of partnership is in the double bodied sign Gemini...A better example perhaps is the chart of Johnny Depp (see my blog Art&Astrology). He married once and had several domestic spouses. He has Saturn (!)in the seventh house.
And how about the chart of Zsa Zsa Gabor (6 February 1915, 20:08 CET Budapest), who married 8 times has Venus in Capricorn square Aries Point, but she has Pisces on the cusp of the 7th house and the ruler of Pisces (Neptune) is 'calling', biquintile Mercury ruler 1. Picture it: ruler 1 Mercury biquintile the 'calling' Neptune ruler 7 for a creative (biquintile) way to relate at any kind of level...
Joseph Smith (23 December 1805, 18:15 in Sharon), founder of the polygamous Mormones had an unaspected Moon in the 7th house in Aquarius and perhaps other reasons to marry more than one woman (having a family with children, for example).

PS
An explanation about the indications for a divorce..
In a man's chart they are:
Hard aspects between Moon and Saturn or Neptune, Venus and Neptune, Mars and Uranus.
In a female's chart they are:
Hard aspects between Sun and Mars or Uranus, Venus and Uranus, Mars and Saturn.
And in the charts of both genders:
Afflictions between the 1st and 7th house (rulers)

I found that Venus in Aries or Mars in Libra do not make relationships easy. Neither does the placement of Neptune on the horizon in the charts of females. Hard aspects between Moon, Venus and/or Mars illustrate that it may be hard to find a match (and so the nativity needs to compromise).

CONCLUSION
Every chart is unique. And there are many ways to express Venus in mutable signs. Actors have 'movie partners'. You can have dance partners. You can even have partners in crime! But when it is about love: Venus in mutable signs is flexible. And when things aren't going, they just move on. Swifter than other signs do, they adapt to new situations in love. And with Jupiter in the 7th there is an advantage to get married, so why not...I know persons with Venus in Gemini who love to dance, but only with one special partner. The language of astrology is as multi interpretable as the flexibility of the movable signs is.

HAPPY VIRGIN with VENUS IN VIRGO:
Clara Meadmore, 105

Happy birthday, Clara Meadmore, the happy (Venus square Jupiter) virgin (in Virgo).
Clara Meadmore, born in Scotland on October 11, 1903, said she managed to be 105 today because she never had sex, she says (and she is not lesbian, she says). She travelled around a lot, instead.*)
Her hour of birth is unknown, and I bet that many of the persons born on her day of birth married and got children. Still, there are some clues. Moon, Venus and Mars are in conflicting signs. Venus is square Pluto. And when she decided never to get married, her progressed Sun was in conflict with Mars. Add this with the social-cultural soup of hundred years ago and what you get is a happy Venus in Virgo!**)

Saturn is 105 degrees away from the Sun. Venus is semi sextile Sun. Sun-Venus-Saturn is another indication of either divorce or remaining on your own. Saturn is opposition Venus/Pluto, a midpoint yod for a 'die hard in love'. Because there is also a square with Jupiter, there is also a lot of happiness related to not getting married (read it like this: Venus-Saturn with Jupiter-Pluto).

THE SOCIAL ROLE: MOON (LEARNING TO BELONG)
The fact that Clara Meadmore did not want to get married is an issue in the newspapers, even today. People use to find a partner, and maybe even have a family. Family life is linked to the Moon. In her youth Clara moved a lot and her parents emigrated to different countries. That did not make it easy for her to get attached to other persons. It may have been a nice youth and she started to like to have contacts with a lot of people, but not for long (I am just speculating now).

AFFLICTED MOON, NOT MATCHING SIGNS OF MOON,VENUS AND MARS
The Moon is afflicted. That means that the 'normal' ways to get attached to another person are difficult ways even thought there is a connection with Jupiter and it may not have been unpleasant. She says she was attractive and men asked her to marry them, but she didn't feel she should. Moon, Venus and Mars in conflicting signs tell the astrologer that it will not be easy to find a partner who matches with her needs and habits, her taste and her sexual attraction. One hundred years later she probably would not have remained a virgin because of that. But in 'her' days, there was no alternative if you did not have the need to get children and a partner.

THE CHART AND CONDITIONS
The same chart, another gender and another social class or country would have produced another kind of life. Circumstances and conditions, together with the astrological I.D. mentioned above, shaped the special life story of Clara.

Maybe Uranus was angular to give her the independant approach. We don't know. Anyway, Clara was happy alone and independent and she still is. A happy Venus in Virgo, celebrating her birthday.

BTW: there is an article on my site Astromarkt about aging and the effect of elements. Having 50% in air signs is a good sign for getting old (though not a garantee, I am afraid). You can read all about it:HERE

*)(Moon is in Gemini for the need to be young and communicating. Gemini is opposition the sign of Mars (in Sagittarius). Gemini and Sagittarius are related to travelling.)
**) The nickname of Queen Elizabeth I was the Virgin Queen, because she didn't marry (yet, she had lovers). This hypocrisy fascinated me at grammar school. Maybe that is why this story fascinates me now:)

THE FEMALE IN THE CHART OF THE POPE,
now that the Anglicans consider a female bishop

The Roman Catholic Church has announced that reconciliation with the Anglicans will be difficult if they allow women to be a bishop. I wonder why it never has been difficult that the Queen is the head of the Anglican church....
Well, is not this a good moment to have a closer look at the female in the chart of Benedict the 16th (16th - sic- of April 1927, 4h15 CET in Marktl)?

Women are symbolized by Moon and Venus. Difficult long term relationships with females are symbolized by certain aspects in the charts of males. They are:
- Moon in a hard aspect with Saturn or Neptune,
- Venus in hard aspect with Neptune or,
- Mars in a hard aspect with Uranus.

Hard aspects are: conjunction, semi square, square, sesquisquare and opposition.
As it happens, the present pope has Moon sesquisquare Venus and square Pluto. He has Mars square Uranus out of sign. He has Venus square Neptune.
So he has a lot of conflicts when it comes to relationships with women. Of course he never married, never was supposed to have a lover. But it might also be a good reason to choose a career without women in the neighborhood.

CERES
Lately I am particularly interested in Ceres. So I immediately noticed Ceres on top of this chart, conjunct the MC in Sagittarius. Ceres is the symbol of heir doom, agriculture, seed and ...motherhood. Now Mother Mary is of course a strong figure in the church of Rome. The position of Ceres in the chart of the pope and the idea of a Virgin Mary is convincing me more and more of the idea that Ceres rules Virgo.

Moon in Libra is afflicted. Venus in Taurus is afflicted. Both of the traditional female symbols are afflicted in the chart of the pope. And even though he may hold Ceres 'high', this might be no comfort for the simple human being of the female gender. This pope is not a feminist. And if he were, he would not have been a pope, would he?
