Grand duchess Anastasia June18, 1901 - July 17, 1918

For years there was a rumor that Grand Duchess Anastasia survived the slaughter in Russia, but it seems that she was murdered together with her family members on July 17, 1918. Her chart shows hard transits on that day:

1. Transit Mars sesquisquare Sun (being targeted, risk to get hurt)
2. Transit Uranus ruler 8 inconjunct Ascendant (a nervous shock and possible deadly incident)
3. Transit Pluto square Progressed Midheaven (stress and dangerous position)

As there are 3 violent aspects at the time, there is a risk for a major dangerous event. With the involvement of the 8th house, this crisis could end life itself.

In the natal chart we see (apart from an angular Mars), Ceres (dynasty, genes) square the Ascendant (circumstances, name, appearances) and Pholus (turning point, trigger point) reflecting the changing circumstances related to the importance of being a member of the Tsar's family.

The body of Anastasia was lost for decades and impostors tried to make the world believe that she was the sole survivor. For more about Anastasia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Duchess_Anastasia_Nikolaevna_of_Russia

Sunny Saturn? Rarely (#Michael Glifford, #Sofia Hellqvist, #Princess Cristina)

Michael Glifford plays the guitar in the band '5 Seconds of Summer'. He got too close to fire works and burned his head (see the news ). Mars is the planet of fire. The incident happened on a day with transit Sun square his Mars, Mars square his Mars (too) and transit Chiron square Mars in a year of progressed Sun square Saturn. Those aren't the sunny kind of years. If you want to check it: Michael Glifford was born November 20, 1995 in Sydney.

There are few sunny Saturns.

That is why it doesn't look so good that the Saturn of Sofia Hellqvist is square the natal Sun of Prince Carl Philip, as it means that there are barriers and limitations and restrictions regarding their relationship. She became a Duchess when she married, yesterday. That was the day that Spanish princess Cristina was a Duchess-no-more. Her brother, the king, took her title from her with transit Saturn square progressed Mercury (symbol of brother). They are probably friends no longer... She has to face the judge again because she is suspected of fraud, together with her husband. That started with transit Saturn inconjunct her Midheaven (read it here: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2013/05/saturn-inconjunct-midheaven-and-lost.html ) which is the equivalent of falling off your pedestal, even though the inconjunct is considered a minor aspect (and some astrologers don't consider the aspect at all).

Back to Sofia Hellqvist and Saturn. There is a minor**) Sun-Saturn aspect in her chart (157.5 degrees), so that she fits in the list of royal spouses with Sun-Saturn aspects in an earlier post. Now she marries the man whose Sun is in hard aspect with her Saturn. She did it with progressed Sun conjunct Jupiter (success) and Venus sextile Neptune in the progressed chart (romance). Here is the chart of her husband with (in transit) the positions on the day of birth of Sofia.
I'm not planning a complete analysis of their synastry or their charts. It is just that Saturn-Sun aspect that caught my attention. Saturn has rings. It seems to have been hard to put the ring on Sofia's finger yesterday. Maybe that was just all:).

The chart of baby girl

Here is the chart of the little princess born yesterday with in green the natal positions of her mother, Duchess Catherine (or Kate). Interesting, how two to the symbols of motherhood (Moon and Ceres) of the mother are connected to the chart of the baby. The Ascendant of the princess is conjunct her mother's Moon. The Sun of the princess is opposition the Ceres of her mother.

The chart has a Taurus Sun, Libra Moon and Cancer Ascendant with  Moon in Libra trine an Out of Bounds Venus in Gemini. It sounds like a sweet little girl. Ceres (symbol of motherhood, genes, dynasty) is also OOB and Mars is 'calling'. This is the chart of someone who will have good taste, interest in arts and energy at any possible level (sometimes none, sometimes an overload). Baby girl has a nice ladylike chart and I read that the public already likes her looks.

BTW did you know that Astro.com has a child's horoscope with a free try out edition? I tried this one and it is full of grace and kindness in the texts...:)

Saturn and Queen Elizabeth I's chart at time of death

Queen Elizabeth I (born September 7, 1533) died March 24, 1603, age 69. That was with Transit Saturn exactly conjunct her progressed Sun. It was not the only aspect (when important things happens, there is always more..like here Mars-Uranus and Sun-Eris). Transit Saturn conjunct progressed Sun was by far the most important aspect that day, for two reasons:

1. Saturn is important in her chart, because Saturn rises before her natal Sun.
2. In the natal chart the Sun is sextile Saturn. That makes any Sun-Saturn contact of vital importance.

Sun-Saturn aspects mark the serious view of life. She happened to be depressed because of the loss of a friend and the betrayal of a man she trusted. Unfortunately, the Sun rules the 8th house and is IN the 8 house. The 8th house is the house of crisis.

The chart of Elizabeth I mirrors what happened (depressions, goodbyes) and that it had effect on her health and way of life.

The start of World War 1, the chart of Gavrilo Princip

One hundred years ago Gavrilo Princip, a nationalist Bosnian Serb, assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and Sophie, his wife. It happened on June 28, 1914 in Sarajevo.  A newspaper said today that he is the most successful terrorist ever, because eventually he reached his goal, long after death, however. Let’s see his chart with transits and progressions for the day of the murder.

What kind of a chart has he? Here you see the natal with transits and progressions for June 28, 1914.

I think that first of all he wanted to be significant (Sun calling!) and successful. A key characteristic is that he is o do-er (active, aggressive) and serious, too. He is a believer/follower or has followers with Jupiter/Neptune angular.
The most personal and individual points in a chart are the midpoints AC/MC and Sun/Moon. They show us what might happen. His AC/MC is in hard aspect with the Northern Node, telling us about the importance of groups and being part of it.
His Sun/Moon is in hard aspect with Mars/Uranus (the midpoint of acceleration and accidents, surgery, taking measures right away, terrorism and freedom fighters).  Sun/Moon midpoint semi square Quaoar definitely gives away what he intended to do and what motivated him: shaping a whole new reality, a new world, by means of an act of surprise.
Also, the tight aspect 'Sun square Pholus' seems to fit the idea of shooting your own feet being the catalyst.

A key aspect is Mars opposite Saturn on the meridian (discipline, the importance of death and death ends, ‘heroism’). It is an aspect for a warrior or a soldier, someone with a deathly weapon. The placement on the meridian tells us about the importance of this aspect.
Eris, exactly square his Ascendant, symbolizes discord and disharmony.

There are more details, like the placement of the 'calling' Sun in the eight house, but why mention all the details? We could also have a look at the situation. He was very young and part of a group named 'The Black Hand'. He was ill. He was small and he was weak. And still, he managed to became notorious (Sun), a questionable hero (Mars opposite Saturn) and a person who succeeded (Jupiter transits/progressions) to become the symbol of a turning point in history (Sun square Pholus) when he acted on impulse with heart and soul (Sun/Moon - Mars/Uranus) to create (Quaoar) a change.

Killing a monarch is not the way we like to change the world. This killer had Uranus inconjunct Pluto on the day of his birth in the year of the Dreyfuss affair (see: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2013/04/w.htmlOn the day that he successfully assassinated the (in his eyes) suppressor of his people, he had transit Jupiter sesquisquare progressed Midheaven and opposite progressed Sun.
He was content.  One hundred years later most of his goals have been reached.

THE DAY OF HIS DEATH
He died within 4 years of tuberculosis. Previous to his final day, transits of Saturn and Neptune had already weakened him. They even had to amputate his arm. See the chart:

On his final day he had an astrological significant aspect combination for a final day: the progressed ruler of the 4th house (ruling the Moon, ruler of the 8th house) was conjunct the Moon, ruler of the 8th house. The 8th house is the house of crisis, life and death. The 4th house is about (as I see it) ‘going home’ (back to basics).  There is again a Sun-Jupiter aspect. The progressed Sun sextile Jupiter ruler 1 made it easy to move on to a better place.

The murder was the trigger to World War I, they say. Or was it A trigger? There already was a difficult situation. The murder was more fuel. See https://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080309210001AAenV1F for more on the murder related to the following war.

Chart of King Felipe

Today, with transit Saturn square his progressed Ascendant and close to his natal Descendant, Prince Felipe de Borbon turned into a King. There was no party, there were no festivities, it was very cool and official. Saturn is the symbol of duties, management, status and ambition. Saturn is also the symbol of criticism and that is what the Spanish royals got abundantly last year. Saturn rules Felipe's Midheaven in Capricorn. It is up to Felipe now. His father (see the post on his difficult year) quit the job with transit Saturn inconjunct  progressed Midheaven, the same aspect that his daughter Cristina had, when she fell off her pedestal.

What kind of a 'ruler' will Felipe be? There is Neptune, rising before the Sun, for an idealistic or spiritual view of life. There is the elevated Moon in Aquarius, square the Taurus Ascendant, for a certain distance and need for independency and change, difficult given his circumstances. However, he married the woman he wanted.
To do the job there are Sun sextile Saturn for managing to be in charge and Sun/Moon conjunct Vesta for dedication. Jupiter/Pluto semi square MC is an indication for success.

Felipe will have a hard time to gain back the lost popularity of the Spanish royal family, where the problems started in 2010 with rather Plutonic aspects. Though he seems to be equipped to do the job as a real manager and with a certain belief, his chart is so much different from the chart of Dutch King Willem Alexander  (prominent Saturn and dito Sun binovile the elevated Jupiter) or the Belgian King Philip (prominent Sun and Saturn, too) that I wonder about the kind of king that he will be. Quaoar square Midheaven in the natal chart relates 'creating new worlds and realities' to his position and career.  The Sun and Moon in Aquarius tells me that he will have his own unique way to 'do that'. He starts the job at a moment that both the Spanish football team (WC2014) and his father Juan Carlos left the public scene, in the middle of an economic crisis and scandal in the family. He won't have an easy start and Saturn's transits confirm this. But in the progressed chart the Sun trine Neptune and inconjunct Jupiter offer a more positive view to the near future. Jupiter-Neptune together stimulates having fans and followers and also helps a person to keep believing and hoping. We'll see.

Here is the chart, with transits and progressions for today:

Speculations on abdication Queen Elizabeth II

There is some speculation about the abdication of Queen Elizabeth II in 2014.

1. The idea is following the news about job sharing with her son (here: http://o.canada.com/news/world/queen-elizabeth-prince-charles-job-share-the-throne/ ) There is also a change in activities for Prince William and Prince Andrew.

2. Now a bookmaker suspends betting on the abdication of Queen Elizabeth II of England on Prince Charles 65th birthday: http://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2014/01/22/Bookmaker-suspends-betting-on-Queen-Elizabeths-abdication/UPI-44761390368334/

3. On my site Astromarkt.net I published the chart of Queen Elizabeth a few months ago.

I mentioned that Saturn (an important planet in her natal chart) indicated that all things Saturnal (duties, age, limitations) were getting harder in 2013 and that on November 11, 2014 (Charles' birthday)
a. Saturn would be conjunct her Midheaven,
b. Jupiter inconjunct the Ascendant with Pholus and
c. Jupiter trine (progressed) Mars.
Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands abdicated with Saturn and Pluto (see that story).

There has been some speculation before in 2011. I wrote about that, too, at the time (see: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2011/05/speculating-about-king-charles.html ) and then I also thought of 2014.

4. Here is the chart of the Prince of Wales with transits and progressions for his 65th birthday. Transit Uranus is on his Midheaven (tension, change), progressed Sun changing sign (changes life style), Progressed Sun square Jupiter (progress)….
Click for a larger picture

So, maybe it is in the air. We will see if it will land.
But if it isn't, what could those transits and progressions mean?

The Kensington Palace house warming party

Like Prince William I am fond of the music of Bon Jovi, the band with the positive sound:). Bon Jovi will play in the garden of Kensington Palace on November 26, 2013. That is when the house warming party of William and Kate takes place.  I have been there in the Orangery, with my husband and had afternoon tea with Debby, an American astrology friend and her husband. Recommended!

I have written about the talent in the chart of Jon Bon Jovi on Art&Astrology.
Quote:

  • Venus in Pisces
  • Cancer Midheaven
  • Libra Ascendant
  • Moon sextile Venus and quintile Neptune
  • Venus exactly trine Midheaven
  • Moon opposition Midheaven
 That is a complete pattern.

Here is his chart for November 26, 2013. That is when Jon Bon Jovi's Ascendant is hit by nice Venus. Jon Bon Jovi's Jupiter is square Prince William's Venus. Venus-Jupiter: such a synastry is OK for a party!

Frederick William II: a Libra loving ladies and art

The love life of Frederick William II of Prussia was rather complicated. He married, had 1 child, divorced, married again and had 6 children. Meanwhile he had 7 children in two morganatic (bigamist) marriages and with Wilhelmine Enke, his official mistress. This is his portrait. It seems that he had a more than average BMI.

Charts show us what we know of people. He was thickset and burly, very clean (body and house). Let's see what his chart says.

ART
The astrological pattern of artistic talent is (as you may see on Art&Astrology) a mixture of aspects between Moon, Venus, Neptune and MC, together with placements of these 4 components in the signs ruled by Moon (Cancer), Venus (Taurus and Libra) and Neptune (Pisces). Frederick William II had Sun in Libra, Moon in Taurus, Venus in Libra, Neptune in Cancer. Venus was square Neptune and inconjunct Moon. The Moon was sextile Neptune. Neptune was sextile MC. That is a complete pattern. He was a talented cellist. Beethoven and Mozart enjoyed his patronage.

WOMEN
Often, the romantic nature of the artist leads to love adventures. The same fantasy, ideals and visions that help an artist to create something that we love, helps him or her to be involved in love affairs. In his chart, symbols of women are of crucial importance. Consider his mighty position as a monarch ...and you know the rest.

1. The Moon is on the Descendant. That is an important position for the Moon in Taurus. It means that his needs were important, too. As the Moon is one of the symbols for women, women are important (according to the chart).
2. Juno is on his MC. Juno is the symbol of the married woman and of marriage. An angular Juno signals the importance of marriage and women in general. MC with Juno links his reputation to his marriages.

Venus square Neptune is one of the 4 aspects that appear to be frequent in the charts of divorced men.

OVERWEIGHT/BURLY
A Taurus Moon square Jupiter (longing for a lot, habit of overeating) and a fanatic Scorpio Ascendant make it harder NOT to eat. In 'Obese and astrology' on Astromarkt I mention these and other astrological factors to blame...but maybe Ceres trine the Ascendant also eases the access to food.
The Scorpio Ascendant is conjunct Pluto opposition Moon and square Mars. This intensifies needs and energy. He had enough of both for all the ladies in his life:).

MISTRESS
He was a Libra born September 25, 1744. Wilhelmine was born on a December 29, 1753.
Here is his chart. The 'transits' are for the day of birth of Wilhelmine Enke. Their charts don't seem to 'match' much.

chart of Friedrich Wilhelm II and position of Wilhelmine Enke

SATURN IN VIRGO
Last but least: Saturn in Virgo rises before his Sun. He was first of all the son of his father, someone with a position in society. Virgo is the clean sign. Perhaps this position of Saturn and the Moon in the sixth house contributed to the need to wash himself, get rid of carpets and keep the air clean?

Jupiter when you die

If a chart, calculated for a time of birth, would give us the time of death, precisely, we wouldn't be happy but scared.  We are lucky that there aren't such charts. Being born on the same day, place and hour doesn't mean you will die on the same day (see that post: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2013/02/born-same-day-die-another-day-time-twins.html on time twins).

Charts can be read only in the context of culture, gender, genes, age and condition/situation. Changing the context helps a lot when a chart receives hard transits. That's, by the way,  an encouragement to make the world a better place and to try to have some peace.*)

We expect hard and nasty aspects for a day of death, but the truth is, that there is often a transit of Venus (to make things easier) or Jupiter (to improve a situation). When people say 'it was better for him (or her)…' there is often a Jupiter transit. Jupiter helps. Jupiter is the symbol of the doctor. But Jupiter is also the symbol of a passage, a voyage, moving on…

Yesterday Prince Friso, King Willem Alexander's brother died, age 44, while transit Jupiter was trine his natal Moon (11th Scorpio) and in the 8th progressed house (where the progressed Moon was, too). Jupiter trine Moon is one of the best aspects a person can get. And sometimes Jupiter simply accompanies death. Prince Friso was in coma for 1,5 years following a ski accident.

Here is the progressed (!) chart of Prince Friso, with transits and progression of yesterday.
*) See about Sun-Saturn square in time of war: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2009/05/transit-saturn-square-sun-during-war.html

LINKS
I like to see Jupiter in the charts of moments of death as the symbol of the assistance (comfort, guiding) of those around and as the symbol of passing away/on.  There are several posts on this subject (http://astropost.blogspot.nl/search/label/Jupiter.%20Life%20and%20death)

There were a lot of heavy transits and progressions on the day of the ski accident. See that post: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2012/02/accident-and-chart-of-prince-friso.html
It is a long list of unfortunate transits and progressions for a man who went out in the snow when there was a high risk of avalanches. An accident never comes alone...'

In 'The reflection of difficulties' you read about the transits and progressions with the chart of Princess Mabel, now Prince Friso's widow: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2012/02/reflection-of-difficulties.html
Her birthday was on August 11, one day before her husband died. Her solar return chart has Neptune on the Ascendant and this Neptune is inconjunct ruler 7. This goes together, among other indications, with Progressed Mars inconjunct natal Moon and Progressed Moon + P Ceres square Sun.

The bright side of the chart of the royal baby born July 22, 2013

On the chart of Prince George....
The youngest British royal was born in July 22, 2013 at 16:24 BST in London. It is a birth a few hours before the full moon in Aquarius and still with the Sun and Moon in Cancer. It sounds like a moment waiting for the increasing manifestation of starlight. The parents waited a few hours to tell the world about the birth of their first born. It seems to be British tradition to wait with announcements until the Queen and PM have been informed. Also, William and Kate wanted to tell the family first, personally. Surprisingly, when the announcement was made, the Sun and Moon had entered the next sign, Leo and it was full moon. Spotlights on!

I use not to analyze charts of very young children. They are just starting, everybody is happy and it is better to keep it that way  for a long long while. So let me focus (for almost 100%) on the bright sides of the chart, please. It is not difficult. It is the chart of a good looking, charming, energetic boy.

GOOD LOOKS AND BELOVED
Watch Venus and Uranus in hard aspect with the Ascendant and you will understand that he will likely be attractive not just because of his position, but also because of his looks. Venus is in Virgo (a 'cool' sign for a man). With Moon inconjunct Venus, both in aspect with the Ascendant, there may be a lack of balance in the relationship with females, too. Moon and Venus are in hard aspect with Neptune (Moon is semi square and Venus is opposition Neptune). This sensitivity and desire is good for the development of artistic talents. But it is also an indication for the issue of love affairs.

Venus had an important position in the sky at the moment of birth, elevated and conjunct Regulus. Heinrich Himmler had Venus conjunct Regulus and this didn't make him a nice guy (see Astrodatabank: http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Himmler,_Heinrich ). Constellation of Words quotes Robson about violent attachments and nasty love affairs.
He'll have a number of years to learn how to deal with that!:)

ENERGETIC
No matter at what hour: Mars rises before the Sun and is conjunct Jupiter. Great achievement, success and/or a lot of energy is to be expected. It will be first of all an active child. Maybe he will follow his father's footsteps and have a job in the army, later.

WATER SIGN TRIPOD
There is a lot of water in this chart, in particular because of placements in Cancer. Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Neptune and Saturn are in water signs. There is a rare grand trine of Mars, Jupiter, Neptune and Saturn and there is a tripod pattern in the chart.

Water is the element of 'going with the flow' and at the same time: of traditions. It is easy with such a lot of positions in water signs to sense what the people wants and what is current or not. The grand trine makes it easy to choose the easy way out in times of trouble.

CHARACTER
The combination of Sun in Cancer and Moon in Capricorn, reflecting the sun signs of his father and mother, is a combination of taking care and the need of security and something to hold on to. May I refer to Cafe Astrology for more on Sun opposition Moon? The Scorpio Ascendant is in aspect with Sun and Moon: he'll do well in the spotlights.

ROYALTY
The importance of the dynasty and being the heir is represented by Ceres. Ceres is biquintile IC and quindecile (165d) natal Sun.
First borns have a special position when it comes to inheriting a title. This young man has Jupiter in the 6th degree of Cancer, part of the grand trine. Jupiter is in minor aspect with Midheaven (a 75d aspic) and IC (105).

SUCCESSION
I quote myself about William on Father's day (http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2013/06/fatherday-special-royal-fathers-charts.html)

" In the solar return chart of his birthday on June 21, 2013, Ceres (dynasty, genes) is in the final degree of Cancer. That is  spot on the progressed Sun of the Prince and highlights the theme of motherhood/parenthood".

The Ceres of this father's solar return chart is in 29d29 Cancer. That is conjunct the son's natal sun.

SYNASTRY
The Jupiter of William is square the boy's Sun (out of sign). He might spoil his Sun a bit too much and wants to help and protect him more than is usual.
Transit Saturn was trine his natal Moon on the day of birth, so in the relationship there will be a strong sense of responsibility.
On the day of birth the Sun was conjunct William's progressed Sun. It must have felt like a 'birthday':) In the synastry it means that the first period of baby boy's life there will be a strong bondage.

The Jupiter of Charles is inconjunct the Sun of baby boy. Grandfather may want to spoil him…

Mother Catherine had progressed Sun square Ceres (the symbol of dynasties and motherhood) and Progressed Mars square Sun. Transit Jupiter was inconjunct her Mercury and sesquis quare her progressed Sun.
I gave her a guess chart for a birth at 9:05 a.m. so that transit Uranus ruler 1 was square her natal Moon and transit Jupiter inconjunct her Midheaven, roughly. Here it is:

Charts of Albert and Philip of Belgium today

AnnOUNCeMent KING ALBERT OF BELGIUM 18.00 H MET

Today at 18.00 uur there will be a speech of King Albert. The general idea is that he will announce that he is stepping back, probably in favor of Philip. Philip won't have easy times if he becomes king. First of all not, because there are doubts about his ability to be a king. King Albert's ailments and age might be the reasons to abdicate. He also faces the problem that his DNA is wanted by Delphine Boel (the daughter of a former mistress).

ALBERT And PHILIP's CHaRTS

1. ALBERT
  • Progressed Sun trine Uranus (exact in 6 weeks time) announces a smooth change in lifestyle
  • Progressed IC quindecile Saturn mirrors the end of a period
  • Transit Pholus moved over his progressed Descendant: turning point in relationships and start of a different situation
  • Progressed Mercury ruler 5 (house of children) is square MC: decission making regarding children
  • Progressed chart has Ascendant square Quaoar (new horizon, new scope)
II. PHILIP
  • ! Ceres (dynasty, succession) is opposition progressed Ascendant (development in situation connected to family or genes)
  • Progressed Sun sextile Uranus: easy change
  • Progressed Venus opposite Moon (question if the feeling or moment is OK)
  • Progressed Sun getting closer to inconjunct Saturn
This Sun inconjunct Saturn is one of the hardest possible aspects to look forward to. It is the aspect of the 'lame duck', falling of the pedestal, getting into a difficult position, life being too hard and goodbye's to a life style with losing balance as a consequence (or losing a lifestyle and that being the reason for depression). Sometimes people fall hard and break a leg during this progression or transit. Anyway, I placed the picture of the Lame Duck tango step because it is hard to do and because the change of the crown is a sort of a dance, too.

PHILIP's NATAL CHART

  • Severe eduction (Pluto of his mother on his IC)
  • Military (Mars on MC)
  • Problem of communications (Mercury in Pisces, badly aspectes, on Aries Point and no placements of planets, Sun or Moon in air signs).
  • Calling Sun and Saturn (like in the chart of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands)
  • Angular Mars, Jupiter and Pluto, Ceres=Jupiter=Sun/Moon... that is rather fortunate.
  • Jupiter trine Pluto...that is one of the keys to success, in particular because both are angular
Even though there are serious doubts about his possible future role in society, there is a chart that points at a good position in society. I don't know if the 'stars' knew that he would be the first in line to succeed the king, but he certainly has indication for being a manager.  Tonight we will hear if he is supposed to 'manage' the royal household of Belgium, a nation with a French speaking part that prefers royals and a Dutch speaking part that wouldn't mind to be a republic.

Fatherday special + royal fathers' charts: George III, George IV and William

It is Father's day.
This post is about royal fathers and the transits and progressions on the day of the birth of their first born, completed with links to posts about father-son relationships, and to more on transits and progressions when a child is born.

MOON-JUPITER and the GEORGES
Yesterday I saw a documentary about the history and interior of Buckingham Palace. I was interested, because when I was in London, I visited the palace. In the documentary they spoke of the kings George III and George IV. The first was a very disciplining father of fifteen (!15!). The last was a self indulging son who like architecture and decorating.

When George IV was born, transit Jupiter was exactly trine the Moon of his father, George III. The  progressed Midheaven of George III was also in hard aspect with Pluto, ruler of his 5th house of children.

George IV had one daughter, Augusta, who died together with the child when her first baby was born. Augusta was born when Jupiter was opposition the Moon of George IV.  He had married her mother (his niece) just to 'produce' a legitimate child and didn't have more children.
Here is the chart of George III with the transits of the day that his son George IV was born:

PRINCE WILLIAM'S FIRST BORN
Two examples of Moon-Jupiter transits/synastry at the time of the birth of the first sun or daughter.
Now how about Prince William and Moon-Jupiter?*)

The transits in this period are pretty nice.
- On the 26th of June Jupiter will be on the Sun of Prince William .
- On the 7th of July transit Jupiter is on his progressed Venus. Those are happy transits.
- On July 17, transit Jupiter is conjunct his Moon and transit Saturn will trine his Moon. There is a third one: transit Mars will be on his Venus then.

Will it be July 17? If so the baby will have a Scorpio Moon for a strong personality, a 'calling' Sun for leadership and drawing attention, a 'calling' Venus for the importance of grace, diplomacy and style and a tight grand trine between Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune.
That grand trine is a bit wider on the 13th. That is when transit Mars is in Cancer, on the Sun of William after 3 a.m.
We'll just have to wait and see:).

PS

In the solar return chart of his birthday on June 21, 2013, Ceres (dynasty, genes) is in the final degree of Cancer. That is  spot on the progressed Sun of the Prince and highlights the theme of motherhood/parenthood. It is been said that his first baby will be born around July 13.

DISCLAIMER
- To avoid any misunderstandings (transit Mercury is square my Neptune now:), it is not so that births always happen when Jupiter is in aspect with the father's Moon.

- Not all British' royals were born with Jupiter-Moon synastry. On the day that Queen Elizabeth II was born, transit Saturn was on the Moon of her father, perhaps because he worried about the event. He died when she was 18.

- In fact, not everybody is born with a Moon-Jupiter transit. This aspect reflects the possibility of a happy moment to remember. In synastry, Jupiter helps and supports (see for an example of Jupiter trine Sun: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2010/02/supportive-father-of-joran-van-der.html).
It is not that easy...

- Others have Pluto transits when their child is born. See: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2011/06/pluto-when-child-is-born.html

http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2010/12/elton-johns-hours-of-birth-and.html
On the day that Elton John's son was born, there was a transit Pluto, too.

Mozart lost four (!) of his six children between 1783 and 1789.  Saturn joins Sun and Mercury in the fifth house of (pro-)creation. At the time of the death of his little son, transit Pluto was in aspect with the 5th house Sun and Mercury. When his little daughter died in 1789 progressed Moon squared Pluto and transit Saturn was on the Moon.
PS In the natal chart Saturn also rules the 5th house.

Wedding and chart of Princess Madeleine of Sweden

Today Swedish Princess Madeleine is getting married and I just HAVE to write about it, because it seems as if she used astrology to set the date. First she announced her engagement with Transit Juno on her progressed Ascendant. And look at her chart, transits and progressions now:
1. Transit Uranus in the 5th house is trine her progressed Ascendant (excitement, change of name and/or situation, new perspective)
2.  Transit Uranus in the 5th house is conjunct her natal Sun/Moon midpoint (new motivations, children?)
3. Progressed Midheaven is sextile Neptune (romance?)
4. Progressed Sun trine progressed Moon (a traditional marriage combination)
5. Transit Saturn sextile Juno (confirmation of marriage?)
6. Transit Jupiter in the progressed 7th house is trine progressed Midheaven (happy conditions)
7. Last but not least: progressed Venus ruler 7 is conjunct natal Sun within a few weeks! Translated it is about the love of or in your life, starting a live with a loved one!

Now isn't that nice? For the synastry, see: http://astrology-love-romance.blogspot.nl/2013/06/famous-couple-synastry-princess.html
Here is the chart of Madeleine:
PS
(added on June 9)
Transit Pholus is opposition her Sun and inconjunct her progressed Sun. This is reflecting a turning point in life with a loss or having to give up on something, involved.

More AstroClick Travel lines

In this post I get further into AstroClick Travel lines to see if they are in line with people's careers. The results are interesting. President Holande is not at best in France. Queen Elizabeth is very formal in the UK. President Obama should move his office to New Orleans. It is just for fun (and I keep telliing you this:).

What is AstroClick Travel?  AstroClick travel lines gives you information about the astrological influences you can experience at a given place on earth. Astro.com's advice is to use AstroClick for entertainment, and not to base major decisions on it! AstroClick travel chart is one of the free charts offered by Astro.com, only available in the English section. What you get is a globe with the crossing lines of planets, Sun and Moon with Ascendant, Descendant, IC and Midheaven, for example: Sun/Midheaven or Mercury/Descendant. Those lines are supposed to represent personal experiences related to the places on earth below those lines.

POLL
I gave an example in an earlier post and then I asked you about your experiences or to do the poll. There were 5 respondents, so I can hardly find the results (scroll down) representative for the users. But unlike   in other polls, they are unanimous: AstroClick Travel works!

It is just for fun, but do AstroClick Travel lines correspond with events and results in places where you live, too, I wondered? So I checked the charts of famous persons to see if their AstroClick Travel lines are in line with their career.

ASTROCLICKS FOR VIP's
Consider this…
Is France OK for Holande?
  • Queen Beatrix' freedom of action is limited (Saturn AC line) in her own country, where her credibility was tested. She is more easy going in the Netherlands Antilles (Mercury Ascendant line). And that is correct!
  • Queen Elizabeth is even more 'remote' in her own country, with Saturn MC/Node DC's crossing line over London. It is the place where she accepts her destiny.
  • Her grandson William may expect a position of authority in London one day (Pluto MC).
  • Is it a sign for the future, that the Neptune IC line is the closest line with London, in the chart of Prince Charles?
  • Job related actions in France should be avoided by …. Francois Hollande! His Mercury IC line crosses the nation. (But he is on top of the nation! Does this mean that Mercury IC is OK, that his hour of birth is not or that the AstroClick lines have their exceptions?)
  • Deep painful conflicts were waiting in Spain and especially in Madrid of all places (Chiron AC line) for Inaki Urdangarin. He married the daughter of King Juan Carlos and was arrested for fraud.
  • Silvio Berlusconi's Italy is covered by Moon Descendant, a line for retirement and memories.
  • Vladimir Putin's Pluto MC line over Moscow promises a powerful position over there…
  • Prince Johan Friso is in coma in a London hospital, exactly where his Saturn DC line is.

AMERICAN PRESIDENTS
The lines over Washington in the charts of American Presidents are interesting and thought provoking.

- Try Barack Obama in Washington and what you get is unstability for business (Moon AC) but feeling at home with the children. He should move his office to New Orleans for success! (Jupiter MC line)

- Bill Clinton feels uncomfortable in Washington (Chiron AC: lessons to learn). He is more self confident in New York (Jupiter AC) and more successful in Rome or Berlin (Jupiter MC).

Maybe their hours of birth aren't correct? Or are there exceptions? Or... is it just for fun?

- George W. Bush, however, had pleasant family times in Washington (Jupiter DC), although also stress (Pluto AC).

- Richard Nixon's Neptune MC line over Washington seems to have announced loss of position…

BONO and ISTANBUL
I certainly advice you to have a look at the chart of Bono and the interesting crossing line over Istanbul. It is a mixture of Jupiter MC and Pluto DC. In the text they mention religion, spiritual ideals, and the danger of fanaticism and even despotism. I read that the people of Istanbul asked Bono to use his influence on his friend Erdogan (yes, they seem to be close, see: http://www.todayszaman.com/newsDetail_getNewsById.action?load=detay&link=221375  )*.

As the hour of birth of Recep Erdogan is unknown, we may never know what line in his chart crosses Istanbul...

CONCLUSION
You'd better not have a Jupiter MC line over the ocean if you want to have a great position in life…unless you settle down on a ship crossing that line:).  LOL

The astrology of Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI

They became king and queen on May 10, 1774. They lived live in comfort and luxury, disregarding the signs of time. They died young, executed after revolution. The King's Saturn inconjunct Midheaven was accompanied by her Sun inconjunct his Midheaven. Together they lost it all, including their lives. Here is the story of Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI.

Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI died young because of of murder after revolution. Their history is a sad history. If she hadn't married him, she wouldn't have died so young. But she also wouldn't have had the luxury life that she had until she was 36. She was married but had her own house and a Swedish lover. The marriage was a political marriage, but the couple didn't exactly dislike each other.
Here is the chart of Louis 16. The transits
are the position on the day of birth of his wife (noon)

This is Marie Antoinette's chart. Transits are the positions on Louis' birthday at 12 uur

MATCHES
  • Her Sun in Scorpio didn't match his in Leo. They had separate lives.
  • His Moon is in Scorpio, hers in Libra. It helped to live separate lives, because they had a different education and other needs and habits. His Moon is close to her Sun. It is a classical marriage Sun-Moon aspect, however, the fact that it is HIS Moon means that she draws more attention.
  • Mercury square Mercury: not matching opinions, difficulties in communications (perhaps because of the language?)
  • Venus in Libra and her Venus in Scorpio is no math. They hardly had the same taste or preferences.
  • Mars in Virgo matched with her Mars in Cancer. So they did what they had to to and produced children, eventually.

SYNASTRY
  • His Uranus trine her Sun: this offers her freedom and independence.  He introduced her into his life style and even though the relationship 'flashes', the two get along well as if they were friends.
  • Her Sun inconjunct his MC: her lifestyle made his position unstable.
  • Her Pluto is square his Ascendant: he must have felt a bit intimidated by her
  • Her Venus sextile his Saturn is good for the continuation of marriage.
  • His Juno conjunct her Moon could point at being promised to him as a young girl.
  • His Venus conjunct her Jupiter (good aspect for having a lot of fun)

RELATIONS IN THEIR NATAL CHARTS
The king has a certain artistic talent or desire (Moon square and Venus sextile Neptune). The Moon sextile Saturn likes to be alone sometimes. If it hadn't been for convention, maybe he would have divorced in our days. Her wide opposition between Mars and Saturn , in combination iwth the trine of Uranus with Sun and Venus show up that she could have divorced in our days, too, as soon as she didn't have the freedom that she desired. He gave her her freedom. The Sun trine Uranus in her natal chart is mirrored by the Sun-Uranus aspect in synastry.
But how about Mars-Saturn? She survived her husband, but only for nine months.

COMPOSITE CHART
Neptunus is on the Ascendant of the composite chart. That makes the relationship a bit 'confusing'  of 'difuse'. They may have cheated on each other. As they were a royal couple, however, there is another explanation for Neptune here. As you may know, Netpune's transfer from Aquarius to Pisces went along with revolutions and new ideologies. Their names (Ascendant) are connected to the French Revolution, forever and ever.

There is more in the composite chart that I leave up to you to discover. I only want to mention that Jupiter is in the second house of money and inconjunct Midheaven. What they spent, cost them their heads.

LOUIS XVI
When the king was decapitated Saturn was exactly square Saturn in is progressed chart. As he was born with Saturn inconjunct Midheaven, losing a position was already an issue. It is hard to be in charge and be blamed for all that went wrong (that is one thing) and because of mistakes he really lost his status. That is Saturn inconjunct MC!

MARIE-ANTOINETTE
When her husband was killed on January 21, 1793 transit Saturn was quindecile (165 degens) her natal Sun. That is a strong sing of depression. The progressed Ascendant inconjunct progressed Midheaven with progressed Sun inconjuncct IC reflected löss and emotions because of it.

On the final day of the French queen transit Chiron was trine her progressed Midheaven with transit URanus square her progressed Mercury. Transit Saturn was quindecile progressed Mercury. Mercury-Saturn says goodbye...
As Transit Jupiter was trine the progressed Ascendant, she may have been grateful.

PS
In her natal you see  Mars inconjunct Eris, a clue for loss through a battle or struggle, like in the chart of Russian prisoner Khodorkovsky. http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/01/mars-and-eris.html
