Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: perfect match?

On DNAIndia.com Kim Kardashian tells us how astrology helped her realize that Kanye West is her perfect match. She mentions a thorough study of sun signs Libra (hers) and Gemini (his) to come to that conclusion. It is not exactly a secret that the air signs do match, but it take a bit more to be a perfect match. Unfortunately there are no verified hours of birth for Kim or Kanye and the charts produced by Astro.com have a low rating. The means that I can't use the Ascendant, MC or Moon position to see how perfect the match might be. The C-rated chart of Kanye is based on an hour of birth given by Matthew Currie, no source mentioned. I'll use that one,. Here is the chart of Kanye West with transits of the day of birth of his wife Kim Kardashian.

She doesn't seem to have an indication of divorce, but he does. The Moon square Neptune isn't a solid aspect for long lasting relationships in the chart of a man. Because it is only 1 aspect, perhaps that is not enough to create a divorce. If the time of birth is right, the Saturn of Kim is on the Descendant of her husband.  Saturn sticks like glue! Or like a stamp to a letter... There are not many aspects in synastry.Venus in Taurus matches with Venus in Virgo, but there is no narrow trine. Mars in Taurus doesn't match with Mars in Sagittarius. And yes, Libra Sun is a perfect partner for Gemini Sun, even without an aspects between them. The charts are not perfectly matching, but as long as that Saturn-glue keeps sticking, they will be together. It doesn't take a long study to see that. It is basic knowledge. BTW I know couples who had a perfect sun sign match and didn't stay together because of other influences. But it helps when your sun sign matches.

David and Angie Bowie's violent synastry

On my blog 'Astrology &Love' there are numbers of articles about couples, happily married or not. David Bowie seems to have said, that he never loved Angie. Yet, they were married for 10 years and he wrote 'The prettiest star' for her. As Angie Bowie told us, this wasn't a happy marriage. He cheated on her and once he almost strangled her in anger. She was saved by his mistress.

So, you may wonder what synastry brought them together and what separated them. It might be the same force: Pluto. His Pluto square her Venus and her Pluto inconjunct (! the sign of no match) his Sun and Mars. The combination intensifies passion and warns for the danger of using violence. Here is the chart of Bowie with transits of the day of birth of Angie Bowie, whose Mars is close to his Saturn and Pluto in the 7th house.

What kept them together? Their not corresponding Moons don't make it easy to get used to each other's habits, though (as the Moon of David is square hers) the different personalities might have been part of the attraction. Saturn in the 7th house and trine Venus helps to stick to a marriage (feelings of responsibility). As long as she permitted his adventures, why would he leave? But David Bowie has strong indications for divorce in his chart:

1. Mars inconjunct Uranus (also a sign of short fuse)
2. Moon conjunct Saturn
3. Ruler 1 inconjunct ruler 7

So it wouldn't be likely that he would remain married the 1st time. Her Sun square Uranus is also a 'risky' aspect for relationships. As her time of birth is unknown, this is all to see.

Of course, there is more between a man and a woman then we know off and there is more between charts than can be mentioned here. Just the fact that it was marriage nr 1 for a man with his aspects and chart would be enough to expect a divorce later. When there is a Mars-Pluto synastry, the sexual intensity could easily turn into dangerous anger. It takes a lot of love (and Venus) to ease this aspect. In the case of David and Angie Bowie, there is not so much Venus, as Venus is also challenged by Pluto. It was a good thing to divorce.

Mothers in the chart (and a poll)

Mothers and fathers are parents. That is why Saturn is a gender neutral symbol for the persons who were responsible for you and whom you see as old (elderly) and restrictive. The Sun is usually the symbol of the father (because he is outside the house, in the sunlight) and the Moon was always related to the person who took care of you. The Moon is the symbol of the motherly figure who educated you and showed you what and how to do. For some persons, the Moon is not the biological mother. The Moon could be a nanny or a foster mother, or even a man (yes, why not?), just like the central figure in your life (the Sun) might be your mother...The Moon shows the nature of your early  memories. When you have emotional or behavioral problems, look for the Moon. It is the place where psychologist would search, too.

There is a dwarf planet with premised motherly qualities. It's Ceres. Ceres is the symbol of nutrition. Ceres is the symbol of the dynasty and the genes (hereditary). Ceres is about seeds and grain, agriculture. See:

She is more like a queen, than the Moon is. I don't think that she washes, cleans or changes vipers. She is the head of the kitchen and she holds the keys to the closets with the candy.
In an ancient household, Ceres would be the boss and the Moon would do what was needed on an every day basis.

It would be a limitation to say that in your chart mother is Moon or mother is Ceres.
As your mother can be your best friend, your supporter, the nail on your coffin or the person you love or hate most, any symbol in the chart could be your mother's symbol.

Motherday seems to have had an antique start in the days of worshipping Rhea (mother of Zeus). Part of Rhea’s personality can be attributed to the mythes of Pandora, Cybella (see picture) or …Ceres. Before I continue and ask you a question about your idea of synastry charts between parent and child, I wish you a pleasant Mothers Day and here are the flowers for all women and men who educate and nurture children:

NASTY SYNASTRY AND GIVING BIRTH
I found that the synastry charts of mothers and their children often have a painful component, like for example Mars on the Ascendant or heavy transits of Pluto and Saturn. At the moment of giving birth there is often pain, anxiety, hard labor... So if you and your mother or you and your child have such a difficult aspect between you, think of the day of birth. We can't say that because of a painful moment of birth there will be a nasty relationship for the rest of your life, can we? The actual moments of starting a life and giving birth have the same chart. The chart of one person's birth mirror the transits for another person's moment of delivery. Maybe that is why the memory of the pain usually vanishes at the glance of the little baby born. But does that moment have an effect on the relationship with the mother or father, I wonder?  I have examples in the links to help you to help me find the answer to the question if situation on the day of giving birth is the upbeat to the later relationship between parents and a child.

Synastry charts of parents and their children ARE the charts of parents and the transits of the moment that their child was born. Do they color their relationship for ever?

The friendship in the synastry of Putin and Schroeder

Thirty percent of the Dutch and perhaps even a larger percentage of Eastern Europeans are afraid for a next World War. That is because of the crisis in Ukrain and the possible threat coming from Russia in the Baltic region (Nato territory). Meanwhile, former German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and Vladimir Putin are good friends. Schroeder sort of defended his friend in an interview and now he is 'under fire'. Where in the charts can we see that?

First the relationship between the charts of Putin and Schroeder.
Here is the chart of Gerhard Schröder and the transits are for the day of birth of Putin. There is more on Putin's chart and on his Sun on the Grand Square in an earlier post.

When I look at the compatibility of charts, I always include the 'shared' aspects. In this case, both Schröder and Putin have a 'calling' Venus. When Venus 'calls' the ladies keep calling you:), but there is more. Venus is the symbol of diplomacy and charm. When Venus doesn't make an aspect in sign or orb 5 degrees, Venus is 'calling'. That means that you may manifest style, charm, diplomacy and perhaps a bit of vanity at any possible level, somehow and anyhow. As they both have this calling Venus, they share the same tendency to be kind to persons they like (in a special way). Venus of Gerhard is sesquisquare the Venus of Vladimir, so even though they like each other, there may be some kind of frustration because they don't always have the same preferences, even though they are 'compatible'. It is pleasant that the Venus of Putin is close to the Ascendant of Schroeder. That makes him feel comfortable and loved. So let's say that there is mutual sympathy (sometimes frustrating, but still pleasant).

Putin is a Libra, Schroeder is an Aries and that shouldn't match (if they were partners). Gerhard Schroeder's Moon is in Libra, however, and the Sun/Moon midpoint of Schroeder is close to Putin's Sun, as a sort of a compensation for their different nature.

Sympathy can't be enough to keep these VIP-politicians 'going', so what's more?

A. Putin's Pluto is exactly conjunct the Midheaven of Schroeder. There is a certain kind of authority or something that impresses Schroeder. 

B. The Saturn of Putin is conjunct the Sun of Schroeder. Even though there is a barrier or something that stands in the way (like age, status), there is at least respect. 

So that Putin impresses Schroeder and Schroeder is impressed, while Putin respects Schroeder.

It is a mix of liking and admiring each other. This friendship isn't liked or admired in Germany today, re the crisis in Ukrain. That is obvious, when you see the chart of Gerhard Schroeder, with transits and progressions. He is in the news (Uranus) the bad way (inconjunct) and subject to criticism. Friendship with the 'enemy' is not done. 

1. Saturn on his way to square Midheaven (criticism, end of a certain status) for the 2nd time
2. Progressed Midheaven inconjunct Uranus (alienation, upheaval with a loss of status)
3. Transit Saturn is about to make an inconjunct with progressed Venus (hurt feelings)

Synastry Tony Blair, Rupert Murdoch and Wendi Deng

Maybe this post is a bit cynical. It is about an alleged affair that sparked the 3rd (…) divorce of Rupert Murdoch.

A 'devastated' Rupert Murdoch divorced last year after he found out that his wife had very warm feelings for Tony Blair. Tony Blair had an affair? It rhymes, but he says: no.

With Pluto opposite his progressed Sun and Uranus/Pluto midpoint semi square his Sun/Moon there is reason to expect some turbulence and stressful challenge in his life right now, still or again. Venus square Uranus in his natal chart and an out of bounds Pluto in the 5th may be a problem when you want to be true. But that is all speculations.

What I really want to know is: how is the synastry of Rupert Murdoch and Tony Blair? Does their synastry show the influence that Tony Blair had on the divorce of Rupert Murdoch? And how about the synastry with Wendi Deng?

Rupert Murdoch has Jupiter in the 7th house and conflicts between the 1st and 7th. That is a key to divorce, anyway. He also has a 'calling' Venus and lots of money, and so he married a very young woman. It was his 3rd marriage. Tony Blair married only once.

SYNASTRY TONY-RUPERT

The Venus of Tony Blair is conjunct the Nodes of Rupert Murdoch: that is good for relationships and maybe that is how they became close. Rupert's Venus is trine Tony's AS: that is sympathy again.
Saturn of Rupert is conjunct Tony's Chiron and Ruper's Chiron is conjunct Tony's Sun, a recipe for real hurt. There is also Saturn square Saturn (generational or age difference).
The Neptune of Rupert Murdoch is square the Mars of Tony Blair. That is a negative synastry.
And last but not least:
 Sun/Moon of Tony Blair is quindecile the Uranus of Rupert Murdoch. 
I think that that is the most devastating and disturbing interaction between their charts, because now transit Pluto hits that particular point. Transit Pluto is square the Uranus of Murdoch and in between Sun and Moon of Tony Blair. What Rupert Murdoch says now, will of course damage the family life of Tony Blair. There is no solid proof of any affair, however and Blair denies it.
This synastry aspect shows me that it is good to check quindecile (165 degree) aspects with Sun/Moon (or AC/MC or any position) in future.

Wendi Deng's Sun (December 8, 1968) is inconjunct the Sun of Tony Blair, signifying attention in an disproportional way (and the risk of loss). His Venus was (…) trine her Sun and her Jupiter trine his Mars. That is OK for liking each other. However: their Moons never matched and neither did their Venus (Aries-Capricorn). They were worlds apart in many way.

Rupert and Wendi weren't the perfect match, either. Their Suns didn't match (Pisces for him, Sagittarius for her) and their Moons neither (Sagittarius and Cancer). Mercury square Mercury doesn't help communications much. Venus Aquarius for him and Capricorn for her (but septile, so they managed to like each other). Her Mars in Libra square his Pluto in Cancer might have been a problem, too, but most of all her Venus opposite his Mars…that is for questionable passion. The fact that there is Venus-Mars says that there was sexual attraction, but the opposition often separates.

So all is well that ends, well…except for the upheaval, that is:). However, there is also a Cherie Blair, with her Sun quindecile Tony's Venus and her Venus opposite his Sun. Will long-lasting love win in the end?

The Polly Klaas case and Mars-Saturn synastry

There is an article on Astromarkt about Mars-Saturn, including Mars-Saturn synastry, one of the most nasty interactions between charts in a relationship and very hard to deal with. I wish that I had beautiful examples of Mars-Saturn happy couples, too (just to show you that there are always exceptions), but I don't have them, yet. I'm sure that it takes a lot of Venus to overcome Mars-Saturn.

Mars-Saturn is the symbol of: inevitable, obligatory action or inactivity based upon duty, age, fear or caution, with different results and consequenses.
That includes death, discipline and punishment.

I added the Polly Klaas case to the article on Mars-Saturn today. Her name was on the list of Astro.com 'birthday today' and I wondered who she was.

Polly Klaas was kidnapped and murdered by Richard Allen Davis, born June 2, 1954. She was born on January 3, 1981 and only 12 years old at the time. There is a dramatic Mars-Saturn synastry here.

Her Saturn at 9d35 Libra is square his in the 8th degree of Capricorn. 

His Saturn is at 3d33 Scorpio and that is square her Mars in 3d Aquarius. 

Her natal Mars is trine Saturn. 

His natal Mars is sextile Saturn. 

So, in the composite chart there is Mars square Saturn. 

And they share a Mars-Saturn aspect (just like Queen Elizabeth and her mother did, so not necessarily deadly)

Here is her natal chart. The transits are for the day of birh of her murderer.

He was punished for committing a capital crime. Because of killing her, he was stopped. Unfortunately, too late for Polly.

Neptune and the disappearance of Madeleine McCann

There is a lot of media (Neptune) attention (Sun) for the case of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann right now. It is still a mystery what happened to the little girl. Mysteries are often accompanied by transits and progressions of Neptune. In this case there is a lot of Neptune and that is confusing. Neptune is the god of the sea who loved to make it uneasy by means of storm and mist! In the mist, spotlights may be blinding. What happened to Madeleine? It must me horrific for the family not to know the answer and never to be able to end the search. Let us hope that the attention for the case provides an answer.


You know Neptune? Neptune is the symbol of all that disappears, is fake, immaterial, fantasy, mystery, dream, beliefs and media/mediums. It means that whenever Neptune appears, there is a mist. It is like watching a movie or television: you sort of imagine yourself to be part of the play, but you are not. With Neptune, you can never be sure. Rumors: it is one of the words in the astrological vocabulary under the N of Neptune! So is gossip and bad press. Is there anything Nice about Neptune? Not much, except for romance, sweet dreams and illusions or visions that help create art. That is why Neptune is part of the astrological pattern of artistic talent that I found in so many charts of artists (see Art&Astrology). Neptune is not fit for daily life and sometimes unreal. What you see may not be what you get. When dreams turn into nightmares, a tricky Neptune may be confusing those around you and... you.

Neptune is abundantly present in the charts of Maddie and her father. Her mother's day of birth is not known. Perhaps there is a lot of Neptune in her chart, natal, transits and progressions, too. As you may see in the links, there are more of such cases with Neptune and/or intense synastry. The lives of parents, family members, partners, friends and those involved in the case are of course changed or influenced by such a case and media circus. This shows in the related aspects.

WHY SO MANY NEPTUNE?
There are a number of transits and progressions that relate people in a case (see the link and the quotes). When Madeleine McCann vanished with transit Neptune square Sun, her father had transit Neptune inconjunct Progressed Sun. Her progressed Sun was opposition his Neptune.

Unclarity and suspicion is part of the deal when Neptune is around. HER disappearance (Neptune) turned him into a suspect (Neptune). Right now there is media(Neptune)attention(Sun) for Madeleine again. Progressed Ascendant of Gerry McCann is square Neptune. There is a negative tendency coming with Neptune and sometimes Neptune means a bad press.

Neptune: you can see it coming. But what is it? And when will we know?

The Kensington Palace house warming party

Like Prince William I am fond of the music of Bon Jovi, the band with the positive sound:). Bon Jovi will play in the garden of Kensington Palace on November 26, 2013. That is when the house warming party of William and Kate takes place.  I have been there in the Orangery, with my husband and had afternoon tea with Debby, an American astrology friend and her husband. Recommended!

Difficult Barack Obama - John Boehner synastry

I just wrote about the charts of Barack Obama and John Boehner today (shut down day).

Above is the chart of Obama (click for larger view) with the natal positions of John Boehner to study their synastry. 

Their sun signs don't match (Leo vs Scorpio) and the Uranus of the President is square the natal Sun of the Republican speaker. Let us think about sun-uranus synastry...

If they were lovers, there would be an Aurora-effect, but they are not. Uranus can be very exciting AND alarming in a relationship. With Uranus there is often a certain distance or later alienation, interrupted partnership and the risk of controversy, even when people love each other. When they are political enemies, and they are!, Uranus won't exactly help to come to agreements.

Boehner's 'calling Uranus' makes him a man who wants to stir things up. Right now he has a frustrating moment to do so (transit Uranus sesquisquare Sun). The man who challenges him is the man whose Uranus is square his Sun: a man who is so much different than him.

I know a person whose Uranus is exactly square my Sun and Midheaven. All Uranus' issues join the party: alienation, flashlight relationship, differences, friendship, independence (I see her as a symbol of it) and unpredictability (now I see her, then I don't). She always knows how to surprise and shock me. We live in different kind of worlds and meet on the edges:). It is a sort of an exciting meeting between aliens sometimes. Perhaps that is what we like to experience:) but not always...
If we would have to deal with a nations' problems, I think that we would disagree too much...

There is a more complicating aspect between Obama and Boehner. That is the Pluto of the Republican exactly opposition the Ascendant of the President. That is like seeing the power, strength, influence, force and strategy of Boehner on Obama's horizon. Pluto impresses, angers, challenges, pressure and influences. It is the recipe for an intense and dramatic relationship. Pluto-Ascendant is a stressy thing to deal with!

For the sake of a compromise it would be better to find others to discuss the nation's budget. Because Nerves and stress define the synastry (relationship charts) of Obama and Boehner

Two charts, one experience

A long time ago I wrote 'When one chart is up and the other one is down'. It was about the correlation between the charts of couples sharing experiences such as the wedding day, when children are born or parents die. As the lives of couples are sort of intwined, you may expect to see the reflection of the event or situation in both of the charts (natal or progressed).  Couples almost always have tight connections between their charts. They often experience the same transits, like this happy couple.

Personal examples:

• My Sun/Moon midpoint is exactly square the Sun of my husband. My AC/MC midpoint, too. And there are more synastry aspects. When his Sun was hit by an opposition of transit Uranus the other day, this transit Uranus also hit my midpoints Sun/Moon and AC/MC.  What happened was an accident with hot water. It happened to him, but Uranus shocked me, too. More on that accident in the next post.  
• Mid August transit Jupiter was square his Sun, was Jupiter opposition my Sun/Moon. That's when he did that hole-in-1. 

• When my sister was dying her progressed Sun was conjunct mine. It made us share transits and brought us closer together.

Such interactions between charts mirror shared moments of crisis or joy.

 Of course you can have the same transits with a stranger, too. You don't know him or her, but if you did, you would empathize and 'feel along'. Charts: they should be seen and read in the light of the situation and the circumstances.

PS ON THE ASCENDANT-DESCENDANT
The axis AC-DC connects the houses 1 and 7 (house of partners). Transits may refer to things that happen to your partner and have an effect on you, personally. Jupiter may make you happy for him/her, Neptune may make you sad, Saturn worries etcetera.

Maduro, Venus-Neptune-Pluto and Chavez

He sleeps in the mausoleum of Chavez, he beliefs that Chavez comes to him in the shape of a little bird...

It is a Venus, Neptune, Pluto thing... 
Maduro is an ideologist who has Venus conjunct Neptune, both sextile Pluto. I found that aspect combinations and midpoint combinations generally tell the same story. I'd read a Venus-Neptune-Pluto combination like secret love, intense romance and idealistic values. That combination can lead to all kind of things in practice. One of the possible ways is to have a spiritual love*).

It is not surprising that the way that he 'communicates' with the dead Chavez is a topic in the news today. Transit Uranus is inconjunct Maduro's Pluto and that means a whole lot of (unbalanced) turbulence. As the progressed chart has Sun inconjunct Mars this year ' being assertive' is an issue, with problems involved (see on Progressed Mars...).

The scandal in the chart of Weiner

Anthony Weiner keeps coming back in the news and it is again about sex. I have mentioned Weiner in the post on Venus-Mars-Uranus combinations: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2011/06/venus-mars-and-uranus-in-midpoint-and.html. I said:
Venus, Mars and Uranus together are the symbol of sudden passions and adventures or acting on impulse when attracted to someone. 
His chart has Venus/Mars semi square Uranus, which is about as much as 'news -Uranus- on sex -Venus/Mars', but not always. There are always more reasons and more indications. There are a few things that 'catch the eye', like:

1. the position of the Sun between Uranus and Pluto
It is about dramatic and radical changes in life (see http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2010/02/radical-uranus-pluto.html ) Uranus+Pluto is 'ultra-'. Quote:

ULTRA…In times of conservatism, the Uranus-Pluto person might be ultra left. Today, when most of the western democracies seem to be operating on the originally left side of the political spectrum, the rebel (Uranus-Pluto) is often seen as ultra right. The controversial politician Geert Wilders lives in safe houses since the murder of Theo van Gogh. In his chart Uranus and Pluto rise before the Sun. Uranus and Pluto together often provoke the enemy and/or forces to or obliges a new life style. 

So let's say: he is not the kind of guy to make it easy on himself when he makes choices.

2. Uranus rises before the Sun and Saturn is calling! (no major aspects in sign)
Saturn and Uranus are prominent in this chart. They are the combination of 'breaking free' and 'limited freedom' as an issue.

3. His progressed Sun sign has by now changed to Scorpio. When the progressed Sun sign is changing, your life and life style tends to change. It is always a hectic period.
This year the progressed Sun in Scorpio will be trine his natal Saturn and that means: self respect or being respected, possibly after a goodbye or after closing down a period in life.

He is married. Above is the chart of his day of birth with (in green) the transits of the day of birth of is wife Huma Abedin (assistent of Hillary Clinton), who was born on July 27, 1976. The synastry of their charts shows a lot of holes.

a. Their sun signs don't match.
b. They share a Leo Moon. They may have the same kind of needs and habits, usually.
c. There is no aspect between their Venus. Perhaps there is a Venus-Ascendant connection (but as there is no hour of birth, that is a big ?).
d. Their Mars are in compatible signs. Her Mars is conjunct his Sun.  I wrote about the Mars-Sun synastry of the Dutch royal couple, title 'When Mars kicks you'. It is a little competitive, this synastry aspect. And yes, she has a top position in society.
e. His Neptune square her Venus is romantic, but could be disappointing, like all romance is.
f. They share Sun-Uranus aspects. His is conjunct, hers is square. I quote myself:

Sun and Uranus shared in aspect might indicate: joined rebellion. How long this will last in a proper family home in a suburb, especially when the aspect is hard? But in a group of inventive people or in a place where news items are made you certainly can go for ‘sensation’ together. This relationship could have an unusual start. Too much tension could lead to stress, even if the surprises are nice. Both being independent and willing to be free it will be hard to stay together as a couple. With harmonious aspects this tendency for doing things the way you want it, will be tempered and then your unique qualities come to the light, better than if you were alone. 

Transit Neptune is now inconjunct her natal Sun and before that Saturn square her Sun. Those are difficult transits to deal with.  I just published an article on Sun inconjunct Neptune in the progressed chart. It is a very confusing aspect combination.

Of course, not everyone born on September 4, 1964 does as Anthony Weiner does. Genes, gender, position in society, culture and circumstances AND the choices that you make define a person, not his chart. The chart says how you deal with certain challenges and issues. Three of the hundreds of others born on September 4, 1964 are:

- Guy Donald Boros,  golfer
- René Pape, German bass
- Tomas Sandstrom, NHL forward 

But there can be only one Anthony Weiner and only one such chart...

Sun Saturn synastry and the inconjunct

I have blogged and written articles about Venus-Saturn (link) and Mars-Saturn synastry (start here if you are interested). Now how and what about Sun -Saturn synastry? I have already given some examples of Sun-Saturn relationships on this blog Astropost and on my other blog, Astrology&Love. 1. Dominique Strauss Khan

Or does it mean that there was a starring role for Michael Jackson in the bad times for Dr. Murray? 


SUN INCONJUNCT SATURN SYNASTRY

Sun inconjunct Saturn is one of the hardest aspects to deal with. It always takes more than just one aspect and charts should always be seen as a whole, related to circumstances, gender, genes and history or culture, but still I find it a difficult aspect.


In the natal chart the Sun inconjunct Saturn is often mirroring a defect, an inability or 'bad luck'.  Use the label inconjunct Saturn to find examples of that.
Transits of Saturn inconjunct Sun and progressions of the Sun inconjunct Saturn sort of makes way to criticism and places you in the position of the 'lame duck'.

A tragic example of Sun inconjunct Saturn between two persons, is the synastry of George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin.

ZIMMERMAN-MARTIN SYNASTRY
The Sun of George Zimmerman (October 5, 1983: it is his Saturn return now) is inconjunct the natal Saturn of Trayvon Martin (February 5, 1995). George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin and ended his life. Not all encounters of Sun-Saturn quincunxes end in such a drama, of course.  If Zimmerman hadn't carried a gun, it hadn't happened at all. The symbol of a gun is Mars.

MARS' ROLE
Mars is the symbol of fire, weapons and injuries.
On February 26, 2012 transit Mars was inconjunct the natal Sun of Trayvon Martin.
On February 26, 2012 the progressed Sun of Trayvon Martin was opposition the natal Mars of George Zimmerman.
It is as if there was a conspiracy of the stars to bring those men close together with a weapon at reach. Even without hours of birth and more transits and progressions to consider, it is obvious that Mars (aggression, weapons, injuries) was an issue between the men at that time and moment.
