Uranus and Pluto transits 2016

Usually I start with the prognosis of the coming year in October. But why not start now, a bit? Let me tell you about Uranus and Pluto in 2016.
Uranus and Pluto are symbols of change. If one of them are in hard aspect with your natal or progressed Sun, changes and stress are coming. The softer aspects may not hurry you, but you certainly like to know about the stress aspects, because mostly they demand some action.
350px-HPA_Axis_Diagram_(Brian_M_Sweis_2012)So let me tell you where Uranus and Pluto are in 2016.
  • Uranus is between 16d34 and 20d34 via 24d30 Aries
  • Pluto in between  15d03 and 16d54 Capricorn via 17d29.

This means that when your Sun or any important point in your chart is between 17 and 25 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) you will be confronted with a hard transit of Uranus or Pluto or both. A major point between 17 and 25 Sagittarius or Leo gets a trine aspect. Are you open for change (or forced to be open for change...). If you don't know about degrees, it may be interesting to watch this summary of birthdays:
  • January 7-8-9
  • April 6-7-8
  • August 9-11
  • Occtober 9-11
There might be a complete make-over for your life and life style in 2016.
  • January 10-16
  • April 10-14
Uranus transits point at possible nervousness and at being alerted.
  • May 6-7-8
  • September 9-11
That trine of transit Pluto encourages you and increases the change of 'winning' and profit.
  • June 6-7
  • August 9-11
Inconjunct transit Pluto could signify an overdose of stress (and a possible crisis). Take care not to exploit yourself.
  • July 6-7-8
Opposition of  transit Pluto could indicate a confrontation with someone else's problems or problems caused by others. As this will be a hectic year for you anyway, the tension could force you to change your life style, drastically.
  • July 9-18
Square of transit Uranus: unexpected forced changes will have to be accepted somehow.
  • August 9-18
  • December 8-17
Liberating trine of transit Uranus possible also adds something new. Maybe you just choose the easy way out to independence, freedom and 'what's new'.
  • October 9-18
Opposition of transit Uranus: other people might talk about you, your life style and what you do. Maybe this experience changes your vision.
  • November 8-17
Inconjunct  transit Uranus warns you: don't do anything unprepared and take care, because it is a time of unexpected complications.
!Transits work with progressed Sun, Moon and planets, too.

Transits and progressions after death

This morning I tweeted about the article on Astro.com (The Immortal Horoscope by Wendy Stacey, with examples) about 'life after death' in the horoscope, as I name it. The transits and progressions of the chart are reflecting events, mostly regarding the reputation of the death person, after death. I fully agree with that article, so I mentioned it on Twitter. This was followed by examples of Astropost that I gave in 2008-2010.

1. Chart, progressions, transits of Anne Frank re her diary after death

2. Jim Morrison's transits and progressions after death at the time of a trial
3. Charles Dickens and the women after death when the secret relationship with a woman was revealed

4. Astrology of Nicolaus Copernicus reburial after death

5. Where Father Pio's stigmata fake or real. The after death show the question marks:

6. MORE OF KARL MARX's 'DAS KAPITAL' SOLD with transit Jupiter trine his Sun after death 7. Saturn, Pluto and the disappearance of Papadopoulos death body after death

We may not live eternal lives, but our charts apparently do:)

Cycles repeated, history repeated?

When I had a look at the chart of the astrological New Year, I noticed Mars opposite Eris (for info on Eris, see Wikipedia). It is not an unusual aspect combination. I wrote about Mars square Eris in 2011. There has been a trine and an inconjunct in 2011/2012/2013 and now we have an opposition of Mars and Eris. In synastry it is not the best aspect for friendship:). This aspect fuels discord.

It is the kind of aspect that signals conflicts, often related to jealousy and sometimes this aspect sparks war, especially when Mars is in conflict with more challenging planets at the same time. Have a look at the Aries equinox chart of 1939. The transits are the positions of the day of birth of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. His Saturn was conjunct the Ascendant of the spring chart of 1939. Mars was trine his natal Sun.
Click for a larger picture
There is a combination of Sun square Mars, semi square Uranus and trine Pluto. Mars is in conflict with Uranus and Pluto. There are more moments of Mars-Uranus-Pluto and they are usually scary and reflecting crisis (more in another post).  It was just past new moon and the conjunction of Moon and Eris, both square Mars.

In 1939 World War 2 officially started. There had been a prelude to war, that looks frighteningly much like what happens in Russia/Ukraine right now, like the occupation of Bohemia and Moravia. Just like in those years, the neighbor countries had limited their expenses on the military*).

How about now?

The Mars-Eris conflict in the Spring chart of 2014 is not accompanied by aspects between Uranus-Pluto and Mars. This is the chart for Moscow when the new astrological cycle started. The transits are those of the day of birth of Vladimir Putin. His natal Sun trine transit Venus and on the Ascendant of the Spring equinox horizon could (and I hope it does) mean peace. His Uranus is on the Midheaven of that chart and that is (of course) signaling a nervous situation of changes.
Around the 10th of July Mars will be opposite Uranus and square Pluto again. And later that month Mars will again be opposite Eris. Does that promise conflicts again in July? I hope not.

ARROW OF TIME
3 years ago I watched Professor Brian Cox explain the Second Law of Thermodynamics related to the universe. The arrow of time always moves on. So:
- entropy increases
- from order to disorder
- past will change
- future won't return to past
That is the arrow of time.

Everything must eventually end. And when it ends, we can't get things back as they used to be. Change is all around.

Picture this: you can ride in an antique train, but the station has changed, and everything around and you are a contemporary person. You can't actually go back in time, even though it may look like you have. That is what happens with history and the positions of planets, too. Nothing is the same as it was before. And sometimes that is a very good thing!
This 'law' is also effective in your personal chart. You may have experienced the first Saturn return and will likely have completely different experiences when you have the second Saturn return. That is because you changed, and everything around you changed. History never repeats the same way.

*)Later, Dutch marines had nothing more but stones to fight the German planes. While Germany was armed and the number of soldiers grew, the neighbors  cut their expenses and minimized the army.

Surgery and transit Uranus-Mars re Angelina Joly and Viktor Janukovicz

Transits of Uranus (see examples) often come by surprise. Mars-Uranus aspects are related to sudden actions, high speed, short fuses and unexpected moves. So, an accident is in line with the combination of a hit (Mars) and a shock (Uranus). Ebertin mentions 'bodily intervention' and 'injury' or 'scars' for Mars-Uranus.

Examples on this blog:

Angela Merkel's ski accident occurred with transit Uranus square her progressed Mars.
Late Dutch Prince Friso had a double inconjunct between Mars and Uranus on the day of the fatal ski accident: progressed Mars inconjunct Uranus and transit Uranus inconjunct natal Mars.
Bono (U2) had back surgery with transit Uranus exactly conjunct Mars (see: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2010/05/bono-u2-surgery-and-mars-uranus.html ).

In Combination of Stellar Influences a note says that Mars/Uranus is the operation axis (but there will have to be more indications, because it doesn't HAVE to be surgery). But sometimes it does. *)

Here are two new examples of transit Uranus-Mars and what happened:

1. Viktor Yanukovych left the country (Ukrania) in a hurry and it seems that he had a heart attack soon afterwards. Transit Uranus was opposite his Mars first (and Jupiter square, for help) and midpoint Uranus/Pluto hit his Mars afterwards (and transit Pluto square Mars will follow).

2. Angelina Joly will again have surgery to eliminate the threat of cancer. Jupiter accompanies the hit of Uranus square her Mars.

Here are the natal, transits and progressions for Angelina Joly and Viktor Janukovicz. Click the pictures to enlarge…

*) Also, sometimes there is an injury and surgery and no Mars-Uranus, like in the case of Michael Schumacher (though in the natal chart Mars is semi sextile Uranus and there was an opposition of Mars and Uranus in the days of the accident. See the post on resonance for an explanation of the importance of repeated aspects in natal, transit or progression).

Singular transits of Uranus with Mars or vice versa might mean no particular harm. You can have a planned surgery in those days or see the dentist…So don't worry, just take care.

French president Hollande, Julie Gayet and Venus-Neptune

French president Hollande was in the news this week because of a picture of a man with helmet on a scooter, supposedly him, on his way to his lover Julie Gayet. It is interesting to see how Venus-Neptune works in this case.

Here is the chart of Julie Gayet. The transits are the positions on the day of birth of the president.
Her Venus is exactly square his Venus. So even if they don't have the same tastes or preferences, they like each other.
Her Venus is inconjunct Neptune. It is not uncommon for an artist to have a Venus-Neptune aspect. In fact, most of them have such an aspect, as you may see on Art&Astrology. But it is also an aspect related to 'affairs' (secret loves, romance and unfortunate loves).
Transit Neptune is inconjunct HIS Venus now. So now they both have a Venus inconjunct Neptune to share.
Her Venus receives a trine from Neptune. As I mentioned in the article on resonance, a transit repeating a natal aspect combination is more important than usual.

Hollande has a 'calling' Venus. You know who also had a 'calling' Venus? Mitterand: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2008/10/when-ladies-smile-like-in-chart-of.html

John Boehner's chart at shut down

The Republican speaker John Boehner doesn't have a known hour of birth, but it is obvious that the shutdown is exciting, making him nervous and that this moment in history is going to change his CV.  Uranus is a perfect symbol to show such a moment.  Transit Uranus is for tension.
Transit Uranus is now in the 11th degree of Aries. That is 135 degrees from his Sun in Scorpio (26th degree), a sesquisquare. Transits of Uranus are amazing and perhaps he amazes himself, his party and the nation right now. Uranus is 'calling' in his chart. Quoting my site Astromarkt:

CALLING URANUS

Uranus is seeking for sensation, new items and news. That is why the unaspected Uranus will likely be driven to gadgets, the latest findings, technology, inventions and ...news. Journalists, inventors, engineers, computer freaks and technocrats are among those with an unaspected Uranus. Sometimes it is the signature of the outsider or rebel. You just need to stir things up and cause a scene when Uranus calls you to change atmospheres.

The combination of the Scorpio Sun and Moon in Libra makes me think of money issues and a state's budget is a big money issue. Venus biquintile Pluto mirrors the creative way to earn money.

Here is the X-rated chart with transits and progressions. Watch the Progressed Sun changing sign, reflecting a period of changing life style! Also, in the past year the Uranus-Pluto square hit his progressed Mars. That is a combination for the opposition...

Two charts, one experience

A long time ago I wrote 'When one chart is up and the other one is down'. It was about the correlation between the charts of couples sharing experiences such as the wedding day, when children are born or parents die. As the lives of couples are sort of intwined, you may expect to see the reflection of the event or situation in both of the charts (natal or progressed).  Couples almost always have tight connections between their charts. They often experience the same transits, like this happy couple.
Personal examples:
  • My Sun/Moon midpoint is exactly square the Sun of my husband. My AC/MC midpoint, too. And there are more synastry aspects. When his Sun was hit by an opposition of transit Uranus the other day, this transit Uranus also hit my midpoints Sun/Moon and AC/MC.  What happened was an accident with hot water. It happened to him, but Uranus shocked me, too. More on that accident in the next post.
  • Mid August transit Jupiter was square his Sun, was Jupiter opposition my Sun/Moon. That's when he did that hole-in-1
  • When my sister was dying her progressed Sun was conjunct mine. It made us share transits and brought us closer together.
Such interactions between charts mirror shared moments of crisis or joy.

Of course you can have the same transits with a stranger, too. You don't know him or her, but if you did, you would empathize and 'feel along'. Charts: they should be seen and read in the light of the situation and the circumstances.

PS ON THE ASCENDANT-DESCENDANT
The axis AC-DC connects the houses 1 and 7 (house of partners). Transits may refer to things that happen to your partner and have an effect on you, personally. Jupiter may make you happy for him/her, Neptune may make you sad, Saturn worries etcetera.

Interpreting houses and rulers in transits

On July 20, 2013 I wrote about making difficult decisions with transit Pluto conjunct Mercury. How can houses and rulers contribute to 'predicting' what could happen and what the result would be? Here is an attempt to unlock the doors of the houses and their rulers by means of the method that Bernadette Brady gives in 'Predictive Astrology'. I am fond of structures and methods as a guide line and I like to test them:).

THE BRADY METHOD
In 'Predictive Astrology' Bernadette Brady describes a method of how to read transits, using rulerships and houses. The natal house is translated as 'source', the transit house describes the situation and the effect/result of it all will be found in rulerships (the houses ruled by the planets involved in the transit).  If you have no planets in a natal house, that house will never be a source or cause for an event in life, with this method. How to deal with that, I wonder? But let me give some examples of the method. Two of the transits already happened. The third one will happen soon and will be a test case of how to use this method.

I
TRANSIT PLUTO CONJUNCT MERCURY
Pluto rules Scorpio (8th house for me) and is in the 6th natal.
Mercury rulers Gemini AND Virgo (3, 4 AND 7 for me) and is in the 11th natal.
  • source, cause  in 6th house and in the 11th house (where Pluto and Mercury are in natal chart)
  • situation in 11th house (where transit Pluto is right now)
  • result in the 8th and 3,4,7th house (ruler 8 and ruler 3,4,7)
How to interpret that? Give it a try before you read any further...

a. Some difficult decision (my interpretation of Mercury-Pluto) and mental stress related to work/daily pattern/health (6)
b. causes a transformation in my network (11th house)
c. and the result of all that is that nothing will be the same after this (8th and 4th = end) and I learned something or got to know someone or there is intens communication with other people (3/7).

Does including the houses and their rulers give much more information? I wonder... I could have mistaken the 6th for illness and the 8th for death (of myself or of one of my co-workers, relations, sisters/brother, partner or friends. The main issue IS mental stress, work/health related and it seems that Pluto in 6 in the natal house describes more of this transit in the 11th than Mercury does.

II
T MARS AND PLUTO OPP URANUS
When I had transit Mars and transit Pluto in 11 opposition natal Uranus in 5, I knew that I needed dental surgery because of repeating pain. Something had to be done (Mars-Pluto) asap (Uranus), but there was a question mark (opposition).
Let's repeat the procedure:

a. Source (the natal house position): Immediate action with a question mark (opposition) related to things you can't help (12), health (6) and pleasures (5). You see, the dental surgery was scheduled on my birthday! Opposition: the dentist fell and hurt his teeth badly, so that he couldn't help me on the given date.

b. How was the community involved? I had scheduled days off for this surgery and after all this wasn't necessary. We also could have that birthday dinner:)

c. result: rulers 8 and co-rulers 1 and 12 were involved in this opposition. The question (opposition) was if there was a final (8) solution (12) for my fysical condition (1).
(The answer was yes, eventually...:)

Sounds OK, but I still have my doubts on the 11th house. It is the 6th of 6 (health service?).

III
T VENUS CONJUNCT NEPTUNE RULER 1
On September 1, transit Venus will hit my Neptune (and the Neptune of many of my generation). My Neptune rules the Ascendant and is in the 7th. Venus is ruler 2 and co-ruler 7 (or equal house ruler 8) and in the natal 10th house.

Let us try to predict this:
a. Source (natal house positions) 10 and 7: a public financial or romantic desillusion caused by a partner or any other 'someone else', feeling confused
b. This causes some kind of situation in my relationship
c. Result: my income or what I have will be the victim

There are two complications regarding this transit:

1. I know that it is not a big event
Of course, as Venus moves fast, this transit happened before! I happens every year. I had this on November 13, 2012 and on September 30, 2011 and on August 27, 2010. In fact, this happens every year and I can't remember a good or bad thing about it. But now that I pay attention on T Venus conjunct Neptune, let us see if there is a financial disappointment. It seems that I may be able to get over it and: I promise that I won't check my bank account that day:)! Check the comments after September 1 to see what happened! I will wait a few more days, because it just might be that I am happy about an illusion on September 1 and I the disappointment comes later...

2. The day after Venus will be sextile Sun and Midheaven and trine Pluto.

Do your transits follow the rules and the rulers of the houses? I love to see an example!

Saturn, Pholus and Erdogan

Istanbul as seen from the Bospurus, May 2012
Some time ago I wrote about Saturn and Pholus related to retirement. Soon afterwards, Queen Beatrix announced her retirement (http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2012/01/pholus-and-saturn-when-you-retire.html)
Pholus marks the turning point (the beginning of it0 and Saturn relates this to age, career or status. As you may see in this chart with transits and progressions of Recep Erdogan, prime minister in Turkey, he  has:

1. Transit Saturn opposition progressed Sun; hard confrontation with reality, facing the facts
2. Transit Pholus sesquisquare progressed Sun; turning point in life, risk of shooting own feet
Saturn is semi square Pholus right now! It is maybe the prelude to stepping back, but Erdogan's political career 'survived' many transits and progressions of Saturn. I wrote about Erdogan and Turkey in 2010, when he had Saturn inconjunct his Sun and the supposed to be Ascendant in the chart of Turkey received hard transits of Uranus and Pluto*).

Here is the chart (no time of birth) with transits and progressions.

In Erdogan's natal chart Sun is square Mars and trine Saturn. That highlights discipline. He is a self made manager.

You may notice that the Turkish' PM has Sun in Pisces and Moon in Sagittarius. The signs are ruled by Neptune and Jupiter. The combination of Jupiter-Neptune and Sagittarius-Pisces is related to religion and believing audiences. See the article on Astromarkt. Some of the people on Taskim square have their doubts about the question if the state will remain secular with PM Erdogan and his party.

Anyway, Saturn and Pholus together seem to be announcing a goodbye in some situations. But as charts should always been seen in the light of age, gender, class, history, situation etcetera, and as the time of birth is unknown (not allowing us to see what the MC does), we will simply have to wait and see if Saturn-Pholus has other means to show that time are about to change.

*)That is why I expected riots in 2012, related to the trial against the military top. However, it didn't happen and as I said in that post: the ascendant is strictly related to the TIME of the birth of the nation. One quarter of an hour difference and all that is left is Uranus-Pluto with Mars (a revolutionary change in the army).

The good news of 2013 and 2014

Uranus square Pluto, change and problems in economy and crisis don't give much hope. But Jupiter always does! Transit Jupiter conjunct, sextile, trine and even square, opposition or inconjunct your Uranus promises good news. We all benefit when transit Jupiter travels through Gemini and Cancer in the next two years, even if it is because others in your family or community see a way to escape the negative trend and fly away on the wings of transit Jupiter with Uranus. One day it is YOUR turn...
My personal experience with Jupiter-Uranus transits is that they bring good news or positive change, like when I moved to better houses or when I heard positive news from the doctor. This blog is about the moments of transit Jupiter with YOUR Uranus.

TRANSIT

Jupiter moves through Gemini and Cancer. Those are the signs where Uranus was between 1944 and september 1955. In June 2012 Jupiter changed sign to Gemini. Those who were born between May 1942 and August 1945 already experienced transit Jupiter conjunct Uranus between June 2012 and now. If you were born between April 1944 and August 1945 and you haven't yet noticed a positive change, you will have a second chance in the first months of 2013.

Between January 2013 and January 2015, Jupiter moves from the 7th degree of Gemini via 20.5 degree Cancer and back to 10d26 Cancer. Those born between 1944 and 1955 have transit Jupiter conjunct Uranus in the next years. Babyboomers AND other generations will be able to find out what transit Jupiter-Uranus will mean for them. Especially the generation of Uranus in Scorpio will be blessed. They will have transit Jupiter in Cancer trine their Uranus. Of course, there is a stronger effect for those with an important Uranus or Jupiter and those with a Jupiter-Uranus aspect in their natal chart.

WHO AND WHEN?

Born between April 1944 and January 1996?
1. April 1944-September 1948 (Uranus in Gemini): first 6 months of 2013
2. September 1948 -September 1955  - and a few other data later (Uranus in cCancer): mid 2013 - mid 2014
3. September 1955 - mid July 1957: July 2014
4. Mid of July 1957- August 10 1962 (Uranus in Leo): first 6 months of 2013
5. Mid September 1963 - June 2969 (Uranus in Virgo): TWICE!
a. Transit Jupiter square your Uranus in the first 6 months of 2013
b. Later in 2013 and in 2014 when Jupiter is in Cance, especially for those born between August 10 1962 and June 1969.
6. In your 40s with Uranus in Libra and born between November 1969 and end of November 1974? A relief is on the way in the first 6 months of 2013. For those born between end of June 1969 and November 22, 1974 it takes more effort to see the positive result.
7. Uranus was in Scorpio from November 22, 1974 to mid of November 1981. The trine between Jupiter and your Uranus will take place somewhere between June 2013 and end of 2014.
8. Mid of November 1981-mid of October 1983 with Uranus in the first 6.5 degrees of Sagittarius: you will see the transit as a positive development by or with others . Later you might experience positive changes that 'cost you' something.
9. Mid October 1983 to January 1996 with Uranus between the 7th of Sagittarius and the final degree of Capricorn:  otheres will make you see the positive change.

Have a look at the progressed chart too for the second chance:)! And don't forget that minor aspects like quintiles, septiles, noviles, biquintiles and binoviles or even quatronoviles might have a major effect. It goes to far to mention all the possible moments and birth dates.

What happened in 1958 ? This...

One blog ago I presented a guess chart and asked you to to try to find out what happened to the lady with that chart in April 1958. Here is the answer to that question.
(See the guess chart here http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2012/07/guess-what-happened-in-1958.html if you want to give it a try). Here is that chart again:

CIRCUMSTANCES AND NATAL CHART!
Of course, you can't just start making a guess. You need to know about gender, culture, social position and natal chart before you start looking at the transits and progressions. I should have told the readers of this blog that it is about a not western high society lady.

1. Radix
Venus inconjunct MC: this is the aspect pointing at a position in society (MC) too much (inconjunct) related to wealth, beauty, women or being a woman (Venus). Venus is in the 5th house of children and 'the other gender' This woman didn't have children. She also never had a lover (again). But she was very rich and had a 'jet set' life.

2. Radix
Neptune square MC with Venus inconjunct MC: this combination relates the position in society (MC) to romance (Venus-Neptune) or art (Venus-Neptune). As both Venus and Neptune aren't well aspected, the nasty side of romance turns op: disillusion in marriage.

It is the chart of Princess Soraya, who married the Persian Sjah and had to leave when she didn't give him an heir. She had to leave the country, but was overloaded with money. She was never seen with another man.

Transits and progressions
1. Transit Saturn inconjunct Progressed Sun is one of the most difficult and saddest aspects. It is about losing balance because of losing status or control. The transit is EXACT on the day of the official divorce.

2. Progressed Ascendant inconjunct progressed Neptune
Neptune is confusing, but this aspect clearly shows us what is happening. She lost (inconjunct) her partner (AC/DC) and there was a negative and confusing situation. This aspect was also EXACT on the day of the official divorce.

5. Transit Juno with Sun
Juno is the symbol of partnership (Juno was the wife of Zeus). The transit shows: spotlights (Sun) on partnership (Juno). But it was not a beginning!

6. Transit Jupiter on Sun/Moon midpoint and trine Ascendant
There is help and support in the middle of the devastating situation: Jupiter. Jupiter is the planet of traveling (she went to Italy), progress and success (she became rich).

7. Solar Arc Saturnus is spot on on natal Ascendant (EXACT again)
Saturn is for departure, diverse, endings and the axis AC/DC points at relationships (again).

Now we have two inconjunctions (quincunxes: loss) and two times Saturn (endings, barriers) Sun and Neptune relate to the 7th house of marriage. We have 3 bad signs EXACTLY for april 1958. When there are more than 2 indications in a certain direction, there is the 'rule of 3': it might just happen. She didn't die. Her husband remarried and had his son (who never became a sjah). They separated. That is what happened! And the transits and (most of all) progressions are clearly indicating that something sad happened in a relationship. If you want to learn more about progressions, just use the label below to find more examples.

Transit Venus opposition Sun: taking it easy

Transits of Venus may be special and rare in astronomy, they are quite common in astrology. The opposition of Venus with natal or progressed Sun is said to be marking a period of begin lazy. That it's not supposed to be good for you. (We are supposed to be productive, alert, slim and successful, not to be fooling around!:). But I'd say that there is just a spotlight on all Venus-like things, like beauty, charm, pleasure, sweetness, kindness, diplomacy, entertainment, comfort, luxury and love. And as it is an opposition, someone else or circumstances might be the trigger to all that. This transit of Venus opposition your Sun happens about every year. Think of what you did last time and you might recollect a time of pleasure.

There is a difference this time: this Venus is retrograding. The transit came back for me and will be back again on July 25. A lot of Sagittarians experience a triple opposition of transit Venus this year between April 12 and August 8. They are being spoilt, having fun and enjoying life. End of August, transit Venus will be opposition my progressed Sun, and you won't believe it, but it is true: that is preparing for a few weekends by the sea. Question: is that wrong? (I doubt it, but remember, I am under the influence of Venus transit:)! The risk: spending too much and gaining weight*), because you focus on the bright side of life.

I wish you all a nice summer time and spotlights on Venus! Venus is now in the 16th degree of Gemini (according to the astrological ephemeris) and moves slowly backwards to 7 degree 29 minutes Gemini on June 27, before going direct and and reach 16d Gemini again on July 20. So there is still time for the Sagittarius born later than November 27 to try to take it as easy as possible (only after work and in the weekends, of course!:) and enjoy any possible kind experience that you will have, until July 20.

It is not just an opposition and it is not just Sagittarius. Gemini enjoys the conjunction of transit Venus and the lucky Aquarius or Libra born with after the 28th of January or September enjoyed or will still enjoy the triple trine of transit Venus in that period of time. Don't forget to benefit from this transit! There is enough Saturn in the air to tell you that it won't last forever!
Venus will enter the next sign, Cancer, on August 7 at 13:44 GT.

Transit Saturn opposition Chiron trine Midheaven

Last night someone I know heard a scream, saw a man lying on the ground in her street and ran down the stairs in a hurry. That was a. because she is a nurse and wanted to help; b. because she is a Moon Aries square Mars and needed to do something about it:). She looked at the man and noticed that he was bleeding but before she could have a better look, the police already arrived. Then she heard that the man had been robbed when he delivered food. He had been shot in the chest for a bit of money! Here is the story in Dutch (maybe you can translate it but pictures speak for themselves). The (probable) shooter was arrested.

What does a chart say when someone is suddenly confronted with a crime scene right in front of the house? A lot! The incident was nasty but she did the best she could. That is satisfying and that is also being reflected by transits and progressions of Saturn, Pluto, Node, Chiron and Jupiter. There is a full list for those who continue. But I am particularly interested in transit Saturn opposition Chiron, because this transit is 'generational' (shared by a large number of people) and yet descriptive for the situation: the disadvantages (Saturn) of curing and healing (Chiron) others (opposition). Generational transits have a personal effect when one of the two positions involved are of importance in the natal (or progressed) chart. Well, Chiron is prominent in her chart as he rises right before her natal Sun and  Chiron is exactly trine her Midheaven. Perhaps that is the key to her professional activities!

Ailments: Transit Chiron conjunct Ascendant

During several months transit Chiron has been conjunct my Ascendant and in fact: that is where Chiron still is. It won't take long, he will be gone in a few weeks. I am grateful that Chiron won't be back! Because, in the past months there have been many ailments that I like to contribute to Chiron. I hope that if he moves on, so will the ailments!:)

From last summer till now I have constantly been unable to do what I wanted because of a continuing flood of illness and accidents. I won't mention them all here, but it is a range of ailments from feet to ear and all that is in between, from spring 2011 till now. Of course, as I always say, there is more needed to reflect illnesses and there is (like Saturn square my Mars and Saturn inconjunct progressed Mars, for example; limiting energy). Transits of those kind of symbols should move faster, as far as I'm concerned:). Ailments are not as bad as life threatening diseases, but one can do without...

Many astrologers speak of important lessons to learn during bad transits.  I would have wanted a speedy training instead of this. I also believe that there are lessons to learn by means of blessings! So, what is the lesson (if there is any)? If it was a lesson, the teacher forget to give a clue. I have been ill before (and worse), so I don't need Chiron to tell me about vulnerabilities:). If, when Chiron leaving my ascendant, it is examination time, I know that I will fail.

The question is: am I right about ailments and Chiron or is it just me?

This transit Chiron conjunct Ascendant doesn't happen often. Not everybody will experience this transit, it is a privilege! It took Chiron almost a life time to travel trough the zodiac signs.
Have you ever had transit Chiron conjunct the Ascendant? See the list...Now here comes the question: did you notice an increasing amount of ailments in that period? Please do the poll.

Chiron's position:
January 1, 1980   9 Taurus 17m retro
January 1, 1985    4 Gemini 8m retro
January 1, 1990    13 Cancer 50m retro
January 1, 1993    23 Leo 0m retro
January 1, 1995    26 Virgo 21m
January 1, 1997    0 Scorpio 12m

Time rectification and correction

When someone asked me about rectification of the time of birth and the answer was more than one page (...), I decided to blog about what I think of it. Students in astrology often spend months to find the ultimate minute and second of their birth time to erect their horoscope with proper Ascendant and Midheaven. The goal is to be precise in future, too. It is a nice way to learn more about astrology, but, can it be done, really? Is it possible to find the ultimate minute and second of birth? I think not. Because, if it could be done, why are there so many systems, why does Bernadette Brady say in her book ‘Predictive astrology’ that she experienced that there is a substantial group of people who's lives don’t seem to correspond with the transits and progressions? Why was there an astrologer who invented a system named ‘Minus one’ (one year!). Why weren't the guess charts for Obama the right charts? And why did I stop searching for my 'correct' birth time? I found that my official time of birth was right in the middle of the possible corrected birth times with a difference of 10 minutes to either side. What is the purpose of the amount of work to find the ‘correct’ time, when there is so much to consider?

Coming events cast their shadows before
You don’t get married all of the sudden and surgery is the next step in a disease or after an accident.

Major events are complex (mind the rule of 3!)
You are not going to die and you will not get a better job because of one single aspect. There are more than 2 important indications in the chart for important times (short term and longer term). My advice: analyse the combination of these indications (see the midpoint range on this blog).

It is a good thing that we can’t know it all…
Some things just happen and we don’t know why, yet. Think of the story of the butterfly and the storm…

Too many things to consider…
Take Pholus…Who had heard about Pholus a few years ago. Now I see the transits of Pholus related to the start of turning points in life. And how about midpoint combinations? Or the minor aspects?
You need to have a helicopter view of the situation and consider the progressions and transits before and after a certain moment in time (how did you get at this point and how might it continue).

Sometimes nothing happens
(like when transit Jupiter was in my 12th house).
One single transit mostly doesn’t mean a lot.
It takes more to tango…

The charts of influential people might be ‘leading’.
- Coaches’ charts and the results of the team…
- Chart of your husband (in particular when you depend on his job!)
- Chart and position of the leading politician in times of war and the effects in your daily life.

So, if you (still) wish to spend a lot of time to find your ‘true’ birth time, don’t spend too much time on it. I did what you did and after many many hours, weeks and months my conclusion was that I was born at the official time and that the corrected times were up to 10 minutes before and after that official time. The thruth was in the middle…

!There are many examples of transits and progressions in practice on this blog. What you see is that they are seldom exact and often sketch a situation creating the conditions for further events. It is the combination that ‘does it’ and that makes it difficult if not impossible to find the exact second of your first breath. Also, when you want to have a look into the future, you can’t. Future changes. Times change. Right now, when I write this, things have again changed forever and my view of the future will have to change, too. Times flows...Your idea of what happened many years ago, may have changed to. You now see them in the light of today....

When one chart is up and the other one is down...

How can you laugh when you know I'm down?!
That must have been written by someone who is familiar with the situation of one person having T Saturn in aspect with natal or progressed Sun,MC or Asc or Moon...next to someone with transit Venus trine Sun or another nice transit that makes you count your blessings. When a family member has reason enough to feel down, how can you be happy and full of joy? You will be influenced by the other (and more if you care much about this person and/or if you are sensitive and compassionate).
So, how CAN you laugh with Venus, then? Silently? Smiling? Or should Venus just give access to the candy shop, smooth and swiftly?:) How to read these two charts and the effect on each other? I will give it a try.
BTW I don't mean the situation of having fun because of someone else's misfortune. This is about LOVED ones and meant for those who care about others.

MINOR ASPECTS INVOLVED?When two people are close and their charts have tight synastry aspects, the Saturn transit might hit the chart of the other person, too. Perhaps in a minor aspect (not directly visible, but underneath, for example a transit of Saturn with Sun/Moon). And the Venus trine might help the other, not directly but by comforting the other. Comfort (in both senses) belongs to Venus, too. Helping your loved ones makes you feel good. And for the Saturn-transit-person: trying not to be too down when you are in the company of someone who just had good news might (just for a minute) lift you up a bit, too. Or when someone is scared and fears the critics (the Saturn person) the Venus person might cheer him/her up and give some compliments. The situation reminds me of the final jury in a contest, when two persons just heard that one has lost and the other is the chosen one. The loser pretends to be happy for the winner and the winner tries to comfort the loser and be happy at the same time. Difficult! That is why I don't sing!:)

SO...When people are close you should also consider the chart or charts of the loved ones. They color the meaning of transits and progressions, just like the emotions of  your loved ones color yours.

A chart has to be seen in the light of situations (private and national), conditions, cultures, age, gender and with the charts of the most important persons in somebody's life, too. Mothers and children are close. It is Mothers Day today. How many mothers would laugh, when their child is down, I wonder? For those who can't help laughing when they see someone falling down (even if they love them) try this link. Wiki helps you not to laugh at inappropriate times:

Transits (the summary)

Aztek Calender
Sometimes astrology works fast. For example, now that Ashley Cole (FC Chelsea) is in the news. He seems to have (accidentily) shot a boy, while he shouldn't have been armed anyway. Ashley is born on December 20. That is with the Sun in the final degrees of the astrological sign Sagittarius. Uranus is now - end of February 2011 - in the 30st degree of Pisces. That makes Transit Uranus square Sun. And that means controversy, upheavel and ...making news. Just one of the amazing transits of Uranus: http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/02/amazing-transits-of-uranus.html

Transit Uranus was one of the transits in the month  of the transits on Astromarkt. If you want to know more, use the label Transits (or just click here). But in short:

Transit Sun = a day for...spotlight on...(tension, with Uranus)
http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/02/what-is-transit-and-what-is-solar.html (also explaining transits)

Transit Mercury = talking about...(your nex trip?, with Jupiter)
Transits of Mercury are like quicksilver, so I forgot about them soon after they crossed my mind.
That is why I link to CafeAstrology's 'Mercury Transits'.
http://www.cafeastrology.com/mercurytransits.html

Transit Venus = enjoying ...(results, with MC)
http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/02/transits-of-venus.html
Transit Venus is for all pleasures, from fun to comfort.

Transit Mars = competing, hitting...(your enemy, with Pluto or something you didn't expect to see, with Uranus)
http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/02/transits-of-mars.html

Transit Jupiter = help you, for example to quit smoking and grow fat...
http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/02/transits-of-jupiter.html

Transits of Saturn confront you with realities...http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/02/transits-of-saturn.html
like when a child is born...http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/02/transit-saturn-when-child-is-born.html

Transit Uranus = excited by or nervous because of ...(spotlights, with Sun)
http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/02/amazing-transits-of-uranus.html

Transit Neptune = confused about...(your position, with MC)
http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/02/confusing-transits-of-neptune.html

Transit Pluto = intensifies...(desires, with Venus)
There are a few posts about the transits of Pluto, but they are all intense...
http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/02/intense-transits-of-pluto.html

Transit Nesses seems to have a boomerang effect (well, sometimes...)
http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/02/nessus-now-opposition-progressed-sun.html

Transit AC = a passing situation (of fun, with Venus and Jupiter)
Transit MC = a passing condition (of pain, with Mars and Saturn)
http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/02/daily-transits-of-midheaven-and.html

Transits always pass bye,but some come back a few times before they go. Whatever you think of them, please keep the Rule of 3 in mind!
