This morning I tweeted about the article on Astro.com (The Immortal Horoscope by Wendy Stacey, with examples) about 'life after death' in the horoscope, as I name it. The transits and progressions of the chart are reflecting events, mostly regarding the reputation of the death person, after death. I fully agree with that article, so I mentioned it on Twitter. This was followed by examples of Astropost that I gave in 2008-2010.

When to celebrate your progressed birthday
When the sun is conjunct your sun, it is your astrological birthday. (Your birthday may be on the same day or a bit sooner or later). YOU (Sun) are in the centre of attention (Sun) on your birthday. You are starting a new cycle in life that will begin again next year.
Since a few years, I noticed that when the sun is conjunct my progressed sun, I happened to be celebrating something. It uses to be a nice day. Perhaps that is the same with you? Anyway, now that I know, I do something special on my progressed birthday. Let me explain.
WHY
Why not? It is a reason for celebrating life!
WHAT
Progressed birthday is the day that the sun is exactly conjunct your progressed sun. That is the position of your sun in secondary progression, in the progressed chart. Here is a simple way to find your progressed birthday.
WHEN? (EASY WAY)
You can easily find the progressed birthday like this:
a. start with your birthday
b. add the number of your years in the calendar
c. now you have found your progressed birthday
EXAMPLE
Say: you were born on December 1 and 21 years old, than your progressed sun has the degree of the 22nd of December and your progressed birthday is on the 22nd of December.
Mine is today, at almost midnight.
PROGRESSED SOLAR RETURN CHART
I calculated the chart for the exact moment. That is the moment when the sun is exactly at the same degree and minute as my progressed sun is now. It is a sort of a progressed solar return chart that immediately gives information on the transits with your progressed sun. As you may see, transit Saturn will be square my progressed sun in early November 2014. On March 24 transit Mars will trine my progressed sun again (last time was February 4). The progressed solar return chart is the chart of a mere moment in time. I doubt it there is a special meaning that will last longer than my 'progressed birth day'. The solar return chart is believed to have a meaning for the 'trend' of the year ahead. The difference between a progressed solar return chart and the solar return chart is, that your natal sun has a fixed position and the progressed sun has not. The progressed sun moves about 1 degree each year, so that the progressed solar return doesn't last as long as the solar return does. But let's see… I'll keep this chart in mind.
Now, it will be rather difficult to start a party at midnight in the middle of the week, but maybe I'll light a candle to celebrate my progressed birthday. And have that piece of pie the next morning!:)
PROGRESSED CHART
The progressed chart is calculated for the xth day after your xth year. There is a symbolic relationship between the movement of the earth's axis and the earth's orbit around the sun. In a day and in a year you see the whole of the universe. The progressed chart (movement in one day) gives a view of the year ahead. That is (simplified) the general idea.

Astrology of Alfred Dreyfus' case
In some cases 'good' and 'fortunate' aspects or ' benefics' like Jupiter don't seem to help. Or do they?
I found the case of Alfred Dreyfus (October 9, 1859), whose worst and better days were reflected by a variety of aspects. Those aspects don't seem to give a simple and clear answer to the question: what happened and was it nice? After studying the astrology case of Dreyfus, I think that :
a. transits and progressions of/with prominent natal planets are more important than other transits and progressions
b. trines and Jupiter are not always beneficial at first sight (but they are, given the circumstances)
Join me in the study!
DREYFUS CASE
It was in the 19th century in France when Alfred Dreyfus was accused of treason. In fact he had been framed. It was easier to blame him, because of Anti-Semitic sentiments (Dreyfus was Jewish).
Here is the chart with transits and progressions of the day of the arrest:
There is transit Neptune trine the Sun and Transit Jupiter opposition progressed Midheaven with transit Uranus inconjunct Progressed Ascendant on the day of his arrest. A trine, Jupiter and that inconjunct Uranus... It looks as if the latter was the most important. He lost his freedom and it took 7 years to be freed of all charges. How did the trines and Jupiter 'help'? He was supported by Emile Zola who started an international campaign. Zola's Jupiter was in hard aspect with Dreyfus' midpoint Sun/Moon. Dreyfus' Mercury was opposition the Sun of Zola, who set the spotlights on his case. They shared a Sun-Neptune aspect (Zola the sextile, Dreyfus the quatronovile).
NATAL CHART
His chart corresponds with what we know about him.
a. He was a soldier. We see that possibility in the positions of Mars and Saturn.
Mars rises before the Sun for orientation on arms, activism, action and energy. Before Mars is Saturn and Saturn is 'calling' (duty, responsibility and hierarchy at any possible level). The combination of Mars and Saturn is the combination of discipline (and being disciplined).
b. He lost his freedom.
Both Saturn and Uranus don't make major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees. As these planets are what I name 'calling', the issue of 'breaking free' and 'restricted freedom' will be demonstrated at any possible level, somehow and anyhow.
c. Commotion and upheaval were definitely part of his career (Uranus-MC), but on the other hand he also apparently was an outsider (Uranus) among the officers.
d. In my opinion a distance of 127.5 degrees between objects in the chart, is an important distance. In this chart that is the distance between Sun and Uranus. The Sun-Uranus combination is nice for an individualist, but in a group it is often difficult not to become 'the outsider'.
e. Sun is quatronovile Neptune.
f. Mercury is quatronovile Neptune, too! There are many cases of Mercury-Neptune accusations on this blog. See the links.
A quatronovile is 4x a novile and 160 degrees. A trine is 3x40 degrees. Noviles are supposed to be 'harmonious' aspects. I think that harmonious aspects refer to smooth relationships between objects in the chart.
OCTOBER 15 1894: arrest
1. Sun-Neptune
As quatronoviles are 4x40 and trines are 3x40 they are suppused to be 'friendly', 'easy' or 'harmonic'. Use the labels to find examples of the contrary! Trine and noviles, sextiles and binoviles or quatronoviles make it easy to relate one planet to another, or in this case: the Sun and Neptune. It makes it easy to be seen (Sun) in a diffuse light (Neptune). This can be done as a hero or an angel. It can also be done the negative way.
That happened when transit Neptune was trine his natal Sun. It was easy to place him in a negative light. This transit resonated the 'sound' of Sun quatronovile Neptune. He was being framed with transit Neptune trine Sun.
2. Progressed Ascendant inconjunct transit Uranus
Inconjunct (loss) Uranus (freedom).
3. Progressed Midheaven opposition Jupiter (is this fair? that is the question of opposition Jupiter)
Jupiter symbolizes support. He got support. Emile Zola even risked prison for him! Zola's Jupiter is semi square the midpoint Sun/Moon of Dreyfus and that helps!
Maybe, if there was not Jupiter-Midheaven things had been worse for Dreyfus and he would have been convicted without anyone asking questions. And maybe even the trine of Neptune helped:an idealist and artist voluntarily helped him. Neptune, at best, is the symbol of idealism, art, belief and all that we do without gain.
Remember that Uranus is 'calling' in the natal chart! That increases the importance of transits of Uranus.
SEPTEMBER 19, 1899
He was pardonned and released out of prison on September 19, 1899. It is nice for the case of astrology that that was the day that transit Uranus was exactly conjunct his Midheaven. He got his freedom back, conditions changed and of course he was in a nervous state. The transit of Uranus was so important for Dreyfus because in the natal chart Uranus is opposition Midheaven. It means that something that is already an issue in life, is being activated.
JULY 13, 1902: free of all charges
Watch the trine of transit Jupiter with natal Sun! That is a classical happy transit. This transit was leading! You see, there is also transit Pholus inconjunct Progressed MC, symbolizing a turning point in the development of the career, with a loss involved. He could return to the army, the place where he had been framed. (Pholus was in hard aspect with transit Node and transit Chiron). What he lost were more than 7 years of his life, spent in very nasty conditions. The pain is illustrated by transit Mars sesquisquare Midheaven. But Jupiter ruled!
SO
When he got back all that he lost, transit Jupiter was trine the Sun. Jupiter rules the 10th house.
When he was arrested there was P MC opposite Jupiter, so P IC conjunct Jupiter.
When he was arrested, there was Neptune trine Sun.
In the end - free at last, cleared of all charges - he had the confusing transit of Neptune opposition Sun/Moon midpoint. He got the rank of Major later, but his health had suffered because of the years in prison.

What happened in 1958 ? This...
One blog ago I presented a guess chart and asked you to to try to find out what happened to the lady with that chart in April 1958. Here is the answer to that question.
(See the guess chart here http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2012/07/guess-what-happened-in-1958.html if you want to give it a try). Here is that chart again:
CIRCUMSTANCES AND NATAL CHART!
Of course, you can't just start making a guess. You need to know about gender, culture, social position and natal chart before you start looking at the transits and progressions. I should have told the readers of this blog that it is about a not western high society lady.
1. Radix
Venus inconjunct MC: this is the aspect pointing at a position in society (MC) too much (inconjunct) related to wealth, beauty, women or being a woman (Venus). Venus is in the 5th house of children and 'the other gender' This woman didn't have children. She also never had a lover (again). But she was very rich and had a 'jet set' life.
2. Radix
Neptune square MC with Venus inconjunct MC: this combination relates the position in society (MC) to romance (Venus-Neptune) or art (Venus-Neptune). As both Venus and Neptune aren't well aspected, the nasty side of romance turns op: disillusion in marriage.
It is the chart of Princess Soraya, who married the Persian Sjah and had to leave when she didn't give him an heir. She had to leave the country, but was overloaded with money. She was never seen with another man.
Transits and progressions
1. Transit Saturn inconjunct Progressed Sun is one of the most difficult and saddest aspects. It is about losing balance because of losing status or control. The transit is EXACT on the day of the official divorce.
2. Progressed Ascendant inconjunct progressed Neptune
Neptune is confusing, but this aspect clearly shows us what is happening. She lost (inconjunct) her partner (AC/DC) and there was a negative and confusing situation. This aspect was also EXACT on the day of the official divorce.
5. Transit Juno with Sun
Juno is the symbol of partnership (Juno was the wife of Zeus). The transit shows: spotlights (Sun) on partnership (Juno). But it was not a beginning!
6. Transit Jupiter on Sun/Moon midpoint and trine Ascendant
There is help and support in the middle of the devastating situation: Jupiter. Jupiter is the planet of traveling (she went to Italy), progress and success (she became rich).
7. Solar Arc Saturnus is spot on on natal Ascendant (EXACT again)
Saturn is for departure, diverse, endings and the axis AC/DC points at relationships (again).
Now we have two inconjunctions (quincunxes: loss) and two times Saturn (endings, barriers) Sun and Neptune relate to the 7th house of marriage. We have 3 bad signs EXACTLY for april 1958. When there are more than 2 indications in a certain direction, there is the 'rule of 3': it might just happen. She didn't die. Her husband remarried and had his son (who never became a sjah). They separated. That is what happened! And the transits and (most of all) progressions are clearly indicating that something sad happened in a relationship. If you want to learn more about progressions, just use the label below to find more examples.

Transit Venus opposition Sun: taking it easy
Transits of Venus may be special and rare in astronomy, they are quite common in astrology. The opposition of Venus with natal or progressed Sun is said to be marking a period of begin lazy. That it's not supposed to be good for you. (We are supposed to be productive, alert, slim and successful, not to be fooling around!:). But I'd say that there is just a spotlight on all Venus-like things, like beauty, charm, pleasure, sweetness, kindness, diplomacy, entertainment, comfort, luxury and love. And as it is an opposition, someone else or circumstances might be the trigger to all that. This transit of Venus opposition your Sun happens about every year. Think of what you did last time and you might recollect a time of pleasure.
There is a difference this time: this Venus is retrograding. The transit came back for me and will be back again on July 25. A lot of Sagittarians experience a triple opposition of transit Venus this year between April 12 and August 8. They are being spoilt, having fun and enjoying life. End of August, transit Venus will be opposition my progressed Sun, and you won't believe it, but it is true: that is preparing for a few weekends by the sea. Question: is that wrong? (I doubt it, but remember, I am under the influence of Venus transit:)! The risk: spending too much and gaining weight*), because you focus on the bright side of life.
I wish you all a nice summer time and spotlights on Venus! Venus is now in the 16th degree of Gemini (according to the astrological ephemeris) and moves slowly backwards to 7 degree 29 minutes Gemini on June 27, before going direct and and reach 16d Gemini again on July 20. So there is still time for the Sagittarius born later than November 27 to try to take it as easy as possible (only after work and in the weekends, of course!:) and enjoy any possible kind experience that you will have, until July 20.
It is not just an opposition and it is not just Sagittarius. Gemini enjoys the conjunction of transit Venus and the lucky Aquarius or Libra born with after the 28th of January or September enjoyed or will still enjoy the triple trine of transit Venus in that period of time. Don't forget to benefit from this transit! There is enough Saturn in the air to tell you that it won't last forever!
Venus will enter the next sign, Cancer, on August 7 at 13:44 GT.

Transit Jupiter in Taurus
Don't look back, or freeze! In the story in the bible Lot's wife looks back and the punishment is cruel. This is what happened to her:
I am old enough to be able to look back at a few identical transits and see if they really brought me what the books tell me. I have written about Transit Jupiter (when nothing happened) before (see the links). There is a personal reason why I post about Transit Jupiter in Taurus. It is because this transit will hit my Jupiter, Moon and Ascendant/Descendant axis 3 times between mid June and February 2012. Then (in February/March) Jupiter will be sextile Uranus and trine Mercury.Transit Jupiter will be in the second (Placidus) house in Taurus. Those are a lot of 'hits'. This will happen to you, too, when you have placements around first 3-4 degrees of any sign or when you were born between 20 and 24 April (with transit Jupiter on your Sun between mid of June and next February. Usually transits of Jupiter are reflecting prosperity and positive feelings. Sometimes being positive can be negative (fraud, doping) and sometimes too much is no good. But generally, we all welcome a transit of Jupiter more than we look forward to a transit of Saturn...But what really happens, then?

RULE OF 3
As a strong supporter of the 'rule of 3' I believe that 3 indications are strong indications, so I value this transit more than the transits of 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988 and 2000 and I expect more of it. But if transit Jupiter didn't reflect any kind of progress, development or growth before, how should I rate this 3x nothing? So I did look back and I didn't freeze, though I am not as enthusiastic as I could have been with these transits coming up, without knowing that one transit of Jupiter doesn't make a fortune or everlasting happiness. Yep, that is what happens when you look back!:)
BTW: I also had a look at the progressed chart and found that the position of the progressed Moon during the transit of Jupiter and the Progressed position of Jupiter were of major importance.
Here are the 3 (...) results: for 1976, 1988 and 2000.
1. April 1976: we bought a house. It was ready in December and we lived in it for one year only. I did a grammatical study.
Transit Jupiter rules the 9th (Placidus) house in the natal and in the 1976 progressed chart. Transit Jupiter was conjunct the Progressed Ascendant when transit Jupiter was also in aspect with natal Jupiter, natal Ascendant and (later) natal Moon.
2. March 1988 was between buying and selling a house.
Jupiter now ruled the 8th house in the Progressed chart and Progressed Moon was in the first house. The buyer of the house entered with Jupiter sextile Uranus.
3. March 2000: I got a bonus for the past period, had a new manager and learned and travelled a lot for business in those days. We spent a lot and earned a lot. I did have to work hard for it, though. Progressed Moon in Progressed 6th house and natal 8. On the 8th of March a family member died. That was after the transits with Jupiter, Moon and Ascendant and before Jupiter sextile Uranus (no recollection of what happened then).
Now what is the common factor? Progress (3 out of 3)? Selling and buying houses (2 out of 3)? So what to expect now?
We won't move, buy or sell houses (I hope). It is a 11th house story now. That didn't happen before.
- Progressed Moon is in the 11th Progressed house and in the first house of the natal chart. In June this Moon will hit the small trine between Sun conjunct MC, Neptune in 7 and Pluto in 6.
- Progressed Jupiter rules the 7th and is in the 10th of the progressed chart. The final hit will be when Jupiter just enters the 11th house of the progressed chart.
- In February of 2012 (final hit) Progressed Moon will be trine natal Venus in 10. (In April there will be a progressed conjunction of Venus and Jupiter with Progressed Mercury conjunct Natal Moon, btw).
How sweet it is to look forward to nice progressions and transits, especially when they happen 3 times! I'll have to wait and see what really happens and/or start scheduling now. How about 2012 April Fool's day for a big party?
Time will tell and I will tell you!

When your (progressed) chart met your partner's...
When you met your partner, did your progressed charts connect with each other or with the partner's natal chart? It is often so. When I met my husband, his progressed Saturn*) was exactly conjunct my natal Descendant (and that is how we got stuck together:). Also, my progressed Mars was trine his natal Sun. There is a time for everything, and maybe there is a time for meeting each other, too...
Also visit: Astromarkt.net for example about *)Saturn in a relationship...
This month March the interaction between two charts will be in the spotlights here. And just like in a love story I start with 'meeting each other'.
" People meet or get to know each other at the moment that they share the same kind of situation or period in their life. Both partners are at the same time searching for hapiness or are sharing a good or bad moment and that 'connects' them. At least, you would think so when you see their progressed charts! The moment of meeting a person seems to be connected to the moment that your were born. That is what the astrology of meeting is about: to see the right time for loving."I wrote that on Astromarkt, in: The Astrology of Meeting People and of course you find examples there, about all kinds of relationships and meetings.
Here is another one about love: the meeting of King Harald of Norway and his wife Sonja.
When King Harald V met his wife Sonja, his progressed Sun was conjunct Saturn, ruler 7. Her progressed Venus was inconjunct his Mars. His progressed Mars was trine his progressed Sun and Saturn and his progressed Venus was square her progressed Sun. A rather complicated picture, but it shows controlled passion and a period of strong love.
http://astrology-love-romance.blogspot.com/2009/05/famous-couple-harald-v-and-sonja-of.html
Of course, in order to meet somebody, you must be prepared to meet somebody, or you just don't notice the man or woman. And vice versa! It hurts when you fall in love and the other doesn't. Take for example the first time that Prince Charles and Camilla met and he didn't notice her. Quote:
In June 1971, during a polo match, Camilla and Charles met for the first time. She had progressed Venus conjunct natal Saturn and semi square progressed Uranus. He had no special progressions at all. Her progressed ascendant is at the time of the meeting exactly sesqui square his progressed Jupiter. This all means that she had a bad period for love and was limited in her choices, but that she had met a chance for being happy (Jupiter), too soon (sesquisquare).
Sometimes, people meet without starting a relationship, yet. A semi square with Venus describes a senseless love. Bernadette Brady refers to semi squares as a 'frustrating not'. Sesquisquares with Jupiter however are supposed to bring advantages in a later stade!
Apparently Charles and Camlla had to marry someone else, first. It is not only for the sort of aspectation that love was not answered at the time. Saturn and Uranus together refer to limitations of freedom and independency. Venus with Uranus often points at falling in love. Saturn is the planet of responsibilities, status and 'timing'. Shall we see this as 'untimy falling-in-love'?
And, if that is so, was all this 'ment to be' or just coincidence?

Sun-Neptune, Bernhard Frank and Mark Gould
The very very old Bernhard Frank has been ' exposed' by Mark Gould, member of a Jewish family that suffered under the Nazi regime. Gould interviewed Frank, pretending to be a Neo-Nazi, and he managed to get vital information about Frank's role in the holocaust. Gould says that Frank signed the first ever order to kill Jews (that it was his idea). In the video I hear Frank say that he signed a confirmation of an order by Himmler, however? It is very unclear and you know what is the symbol of mystery and of the media? It is Neptune! Sun-Neptune in the progressed and natal chart accompany this story. With the progressed Sun in aspect with Neptune it is heard to be seen or to see clearly. This is taken from Astromarkt:
PROGRESSED SUN-NEPTUNE
Your illusions will be in the spotlights and so are your secrets. If you have Sun-Neptune in your natal chart, this moment in time might shed a light over the other side of you, the private life or the secret life (an affair, your nick name). When the progressed Sun is in a hard aspect with Neptune, you may experience a period of isolation (and inspiration, if you are an artist) or you may ‘get lost’, ‘disappear’ (in the eyes of the public) or experience gossip and slaunder. Most of the time the person involved was mistaken, hiding something vital or debilitated and and easy victim. The more harmonious aspects of Sun and Neptune make it easy for you to dream on or relax. Don’t expect this to be a fortunate aspect, always. Sometimes this aspect releases you from your identity as an individual and turns you into ‘one of the guys’, like in prison or you may have enough time available for fantasies and dreaming because you no longer have a job. Progressed Sun trine or sextile Neptune only makes it easy to hide away from reality, society or life as it it. When you are an author or an actor, this aspect helps you to empathize with the characters in your book or play. And sometimes with this aspect romance really comes into your life and if you are lucky, it won’t go away again. A hard progressed aspect tells you that your dreams are not easily to be realized. A soft progressed aspect makes your dreams come true, but you have to be careful what you dream about. Because somewhere in the closet might be a hidden nightmare. That is in particular true when the aspect is an inconjunction. That aspect often refers to health problems. Health problems take you out of society and into isolation and they reveal a weakness.
http://www.astromarkt.net/index.php?id=102
In the period of his 'friendship' with Mark Gould the progressed Sun of Frank was square Neptune and that seems a perfect description of the aspect: being seen in a negative light, a double-life, a masquerade, fraud and mist around you...etc. Gossip and bad press accompany this aspect…With Sun conjunct Neptune in the natal chart, the effect of the progression was stronger than strong...
On Astromarkt you may also read that 50% of the very old persons had a Sun-Neptune-aspect in the natal chart (see links below). There is no hour of birth, so the chart shows only part of the picture. BTW, Jupiter/Uranus is opposition his natal Sun. This 'helicopter view' combination is found in the charts of astronauts, astrologers, modern popes and winners of the lotery. I also found it with some frequence in the charts of those who become very old.
MORE NATAL CHART
Bernhard Frank's natal chart has Pluto rising before the Sun and 'calling' (without major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees). Pluto is novile Mars (rejoycing to push one's physical resources to their limits and affect others with one's dedication; see http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/201926.html
When Pluto rises before the Sun there is a strong orientation on strategies (politics, knowing the right kind of people - I learned that one from Noel Tyl). Frank knew 'the right guy': Himmler loved him, he says in one of the interviews.
A very tight aspect in his chart is Sun square Orcus (the symbol of the oath). He also has 2 biquintiles:
- Mercury - Jupiter (creative exaggeration of facts; lots of words- he is an author)
- Uranus -Pluto: the revolutionary aspect combination of Sun-Uranus-Pluto is often involved with arrests and other dramatic changes.
(- Sun half semi square (22.5 d) Pluto)
LATER EVENTS
Frank is well known for the arrest of Goering on April 25, 1945, but the SS (and he) didn't follow the next order of Hitler: to execute him. His progressed Sun was square progressed Ceres in that final year of the Second World War.
When he confirmed the order given by Himmler (to prosecute the Jews) his Progressed Sun was square Pholus. That is a life turning point...(July 28, 1941) with the risk of shooting your own foot. Now progressed Pholus is trine natal Sun and that makes it easy shoot your feet again. It is the sign of another turning point in life.
NOW
Now that I write this transit Quaoar is inconjunct the natal Sun and trine natal Orcus, effecting the Sun-Orcus square in the natal chart, giving an unbalancing new perspective to broaken oaths and promises. Here is the chart:

Timeline, transits and progressions of Gary Ridgway
January was the month of progressions and February is the month of transits on this blog Astropost. In order to see the complete picture you need to combine the transits and progressions for a chart with exact hour of birth. The life of Gary Ridgway (the Green River Killer) has been used to show a general timeline, only for the positions of Sun and planets, here. So it is not a complete picture. But, the timeline shows the importance of inconjunctions, Pholus and progressed aspects! And the importance of the rule of 3...
![]() |
Green River |
WHO IS GARY RIDGWAY?
The ' Green River Killer' (Gary Ridgway) was born on February 18, 1949. His first (known) murder was on July 8, 1982. He was finally arrested on November 30, 2001 and sentenced on December 18, 2003. He probably raped and killed supposedly more than 70 young girls and women. On his birthday, yesterday, he confessed the 49th murder.
NATAL INDICATIONS
There is no hour of birth, so that there is no complete picture of a natal chart. Some of his specific characteristics could be contributed to angular positions, the aspects of the Scorpio Moon and the midpoint combinations (f.e. Sun/Moon or AC/MC). Even with those limitations, however, we can see certain important patterns in the chart. The chart of the day of his birth has the ingredients for sick ways of life or the disadvantages of a double life (Sun-Saturn-Neptune), intense desire (Venus-Pluto) and unnatural death or violence (Mars-Saturn-Pluto) in combination with a growing risk of restricted freedom (Sun Aquarius opposition retrograding Saturn). Tudor King Henry VIII and Christopher Neil also had/have the combination of Venus, Mars, Saturn and Pluto in their natal chart...Those ingredients only turn into poison in certain conditions. Gary Ridgway is an abnormal man.
There are thousands of men and women born on the same day who didn’t turn into a serial killer or abuser (I hope). I keep repeating it: charts must be seen in the light of the genes, gender, situation, circumstances and environment. It is not just 'up to you' what you do with your characteristics. And it is not up to the aspects in your chart alone....Some charts, however, seem to have more difficult combinations than others have. In this case there are 4 uneasy aspect combinations and one indication for being smart enough to continue what he did for many years without being caught.

Natal, transits and progressions first murder |
1. Sun-Saturn-Neptune (illness, disadvantage of being weak)
a. Sun opposition Saturn. That opposition is a growing opposition in the progressed chart (as Saturn is retrograding).
b. The other aspect is Sun sesquisquare Neptune (tightly). People found him weird, but even his wife never suspected him of being a serial killer. With Sun-Neptune-aspects people are able to live a 'double life' (see for example Josef Fritzl).
c. The combination might point at all kind of illnesses (starting from age 3-4). The midpoint of Saturn/Neptune is opposition Lilith (black moon) and that doesn't seem to be a good 'sign on the wall'.
2. Mars-Saturn-Pluto (danger of death, unnatural death issue)
The second aspect combination is that of Mars with Saturn and Pluto. There is a quatronovile (160d) aspect between Mars and Pluto (for rejoycing the use of power, influence, force or violence) and Mars is also opposition Saturn. Saturn is opposition the midpoint Sun-Mars. Discipline and hard labour seem to be an issue. So is unnatural death (Mars with Saturn and Pluto- combination, see the labels for more examples).
3. Venus-Pluto (intense desire and/or money-love problems)
The two most exact aspects in the natal chart are Sun sesquisquare Neptune and Venus opposition Pluto. The Venus-Pluto-axis is the money axis and is also frequent in the charts of abusers in the RC church (see Venus, Pluto and abuse).
And I like to point at the biquintile between Sun and Quaoar. Such a biquintile enables a person to create new perspectives and ways of living quite easily. This man had a ‘double’ life for a very long period of time.
The combination of Venus, Mars, Saturn and Pluto is frequent in the charts of men who have serious problems with sex. Sometimes these problems turn into the problems of the women in their lives...A recent example on this blog is the chart of Tudor Henry VIII (Bluebeard), who caused the death of two his official wives. He has the same combination in his natal chart! I quote: " Also Venus opposition Mars/Saturn is not the nicest combination in love as it means death end sympathies and ending passions. We see Venus inconjunct Pluto, tightly, for the money issue (and for intense desire at a certain price). And it were the wives who paid the price. Venus = Mars/Saturn and inconjunct Pluto."
4. Mercury and Jupiter prominent (transportation and cleverness)
Wikipedia mentions that the IQ of Ridgway was no more than 85. Still, he managed to kill dozens of women and it took the police a very long time to catch him. Mercury is ' calling' in his natal chart. That is reflecting the ability to think things over (and communicate about them) at any possible level (very high or very low). Jupiter is also ' calling' and rises before the Sun. The importance of Mercury and Jupiter ' calling' points at the 'big mouth' and/or transportations at the lowest possible level. BTW he used to work at a Truck factory. And with Mercury - Jupiter you can also be very smart.
5. Saturn-Uranus (freedom and restrictions)
BTW the Saturn-Uranus combination of restricted freedom and independence is like this:
Sun in Aquarius (ruled by Uranus) trine Uranus and opposition Saturn. The midpoint Saturn/Uranus is inconjunct natal Sun.
TIMELINE
There are a lot of inconjunctions involved when important things happened.
1. STABBING AT age 16
This event is mirrored by Progressed Sun inconjunct Pluto and semi sextile Venus (the P Sun in a difficult aspect with the tightest natal aspect) + Progressed Venus conjunct Mars with Transit Saturn
When he was only 16 he stabbed a 6 year old and said that he had the desire to feel what it was like to murder somebody. That was with progressed Sun inconjunct Pluto and semi sextile Venus. Progressed Venus was conjunct Mars and Saturn transited over this conjunction. The combination of Venus, Mars and Saturn is a deadly combination for the development of sexual desires. The opposition between Venus and Pluto is the tightest major aspect in the natal chart, intensifying desires (also the wrong ones). But of course there must have been more. This combination tells us that in the time that passions and sexual desires are growing, something blocked the normal development. And remember that Pluto is in aspect with Mars, the symbol of aggression.
2. MURDER NUMBER ONE
The Progressed Sun inconjunct Saturn, two more inconjunctions and Lilith are part of the astrological picture.
At the time of the first murder (8 of July 1982) the progressed Sun of Ridgway was at about 3d Aries. That is inconjunct the natal Saturn. The inconjunction
between Sun and Saturn is a very nasty progression, because it points at lost balance and self respect. Transit Uranus trine Mars is reflecting the sensation and transit Lilith is square Mars. Transit Saturn inconjunct Mercury (bad decission) but trine Venus (a desire completed) and Progressed Mercury inconjunct Pluto (mental stress). There are 3 inconjunctions in one short period of time. I have written about the rule of 3 before: it means that there was an important event. Inconjunctions describe lost of any kind, and lost of balance because of that. A besides: Progressed Venus is conjunct progressed Lilith.
So, apparently the days of the first murder were filled with an act on impulse, deeply felt stress and loss of self respect. Also transit Mars was quindecile progressed Mars (something fueled the anger).
3. ARREST
The progressed Sun doesn ‘t seem to make an aspect, but progressed Pholus is opposition natal Sun and quindecile progressed Pluto, illustrating a dramatic turning point in life. But, he managed to escape death penalty. There are a number of ‘soft’ aspect combinations, too.
He was finally arrested on November 30, 2001. From the fact that Pholus (14.6 Scorpio), Pluto (14.81 Sagittarius) and Jupiter (14.45 Cancer) are all in the 15 degree of a sign, just like his natal Neptune, you might expect that one of the angels is in the 15th degree of a sign or maybe the Moon is in the 15th of Scorpio. But the 15th degree is also in hard aspect with natal Sun. Pholus is 105d, Pluto 75 d and Jupiter is sesquisquare natal Sun. Progressed Venus and Mercury are square natal Jupiter. That doesn't 'sound' too bad. But, Progressed Pholus and Saturn are semi sextile and opposition natal Sun, Progressed Jupiter is semisextile natal Sun. Progressed Pluto is quindecile progressed Pholus. The progressoins are indicating that there is a bad turning point with restrictions caused by others and that there is a positive turning point with a ' but'... BUT he was arrested. Progressed Uranus/Pluto midpoint is opposition Pholus.
4. CONVICTION
The arrest was with Progressed Pholus in aspect with Sun. The conviction was with transit Pholus inconjunct Progressed Sun. Pholus is the symbol of the turning point.
On November 5, 2003 he pleaded guilty to 48 charges with transit Lilith square natal Sun and Transit Pluto trine Mars. On December 18 he was sentenced. That was with transit Uranus conjunct natal Sun (nerves, changes) and transit Jupiter inconjunct progressed Mars (a succes, but...). Transit Pholus was still inconjunct progressed Sun (unbalancing turning point).
He will never leave prison again, but he escaped death.
5. CONFESSIONS
Now on his birthday this year he confessed one more murder, his 49th. Progressed Saturn is still opposition his natal sun. And Neptune is about to make a trine with natal Sun. Remember the Sun sesquisquare Neptune in the natal chart (frustrated identity?). The trine shows an easy escape into a fantasy world or ...an isolated world.
LINKS ABOUT VENUS-PLUTO
Venus-Pluto is reflecting intense desires. See about the Venus-Pluto aspect on Astromarkt:
In the charts of people who are involved in abuse cases, Venus-Pluto and/or Mars-Pluto have an important role to play. Examples:
Philp Garrido and Josef Fritzl both have an aspect between Venus and Pluto. Josef Fritzl and his daughter both have Mars afflicted by Pluto.
Christopher-Paul Neil is a child abuser with Mars oriental, afflicted by Saturn and Pluto, with Venus inconjunct Pluto
An acccused priest with Venus opposition Pluto
