Today Swedish Princess Madeleine is getting married and I just HAVE to write about it, because it seems as if she used astrology to set the date. First she announced her engagement with Transit Juno on her progressed Ascendant. And look at her chart, transits and progressions now:
1. Transit Uranus in the 5th house is trine her progressed Ascendant (excitement, change of name and/or situation, new perspective)
2. Transit Uranus in the 5th house is conjunct her natal Sun/Moon midpoint (new motivations, children?)
3. Progressed Midheaven is sextile Neptune (romance?)
4. Progressed Sun trine progressed Moon (a traditional marriage combination)
5. Transit Saturn sextile Juno (confirmation of marriage?)
6. Transit Jupiter in the progressed 7th house is trine progressed Midheaven (happy conditions)
7. Last but not least: progressed Venus ruler 7 is conjunct natal Sun within a few weeks! Translated it is about the love of or in your life, starting a live with a loved one!
Now isn't that nice? For the synastry, see: http://astrology-love-romance.blogspot.nl/2013/06/famous-couple-synastry-princess.html
Here is the chart of Madeleine:
PS
(added on June 9)
Transit Pholus is opposition her Sun and inconjunct her progressed Sun. This is reflecting a turning point in life with a loss or having to give up on something, involved.

Transit Venus opposition Sun: taking it easy
Transits of Venus may be special and rare in astronomy, they are quite common in astrology. The opposition of Venus with natal or progressed Sun is said to be marking a period of begin lazy. That it's not supposed to be good for you. (We are supposed to be productive, alert, slim and successful, not to be fooling around!:). But I'd say that there is just a spotlight on all Venus-like things, like beauty, charm, pleasure, sweetness, kindness, diplomacy, entertainment, comfort, luxury and love. And as it is an opposition, someone else or circumstances might be the trigger to all that. This transit of Venus opposition your Sun happens about every year. Think of what you did last time and you might recollect a time of pleasure.
There is a difference this time: this Venus is retrograding. The transit came back for me and will be back again on July 25. A lot of Sagittarians experience a triple opposition of transit Venus this year between April 12 and August 8. They are being spoilt, having fun and enjoying life. End of August, transit Venus will be opposition my progressed Sun, and you won't believe it, but it is true: that is preparing for a few weekends by the sea. Question: is that wrong? (I doubt it, but remember, I am under the influence of Venus transit:)! The risk: spending too much and gaining weight*), because you focus on the bright side of life.
I wish you all a nice summer time and spotlights on Venus! Venus is now in the 16th degree of Gemini (according to the astrological ephemeris) and moves slowly backwards to 7 degree 29 minutes Gemini on June 27, before going direct and and reach 16d Gemini again on July 20. So there is still time for the Sagittarius born later than November 27 to try to take it as easy as possible (only after work and in the weekends, of course!:) and enjoy any possible kind experience that you will have, until July 20.
It is not just an opposition and it is not just Sagittarius. Gemini enjoys the conjunction of transit Venus and the lucky Aquarius or Libra born with after the 28th of January or September enjoyed or will still enjoy the triple trine of transit Venus in that period of time. Don't forget to benefit from this transit! There is enough Saturn in the air to tell you that it won't last forever!
Venus will enter the next sign, Cancer, on August 7 at 13:44 GT.

Transits on the road
Usually I don't make notes or keep a diary (and I really plan - again- to do that from now on). But, during my holidays in France, I did and noted the position with the help of my apps. See for example the mail about the Virgo Moon on my Descendant and the desperate need to wash my hands:).

This post is about what happened during some more transits that I had in August: Jupiter inconjunct Saturn (ups and downs), Venus trine Sun (nice time!), Mercury-Jupiter opposition and trine (swift transport and communication), Mercury-Pluto conjunction (@$%&!), Jupiter inconjunct Quaoar (going out, but...).
JUPITER-QUAOAR AT THE START
JUPITER-QUAOAR AT THE START
When we left home, transit Jupiter was inconjunct Quaoar to illustrate the international perspective and things you forget, like passports and hand bags. Should Jupiter-Quaoar mean 'new perspective for a voyage related to a loss'? Next time I won't leave on such a day. And in particular not because it was also a Mercury-Neptune day (see the post). It kept us in Nancy for a few days longer. That wasn't so bad at all. Now we could see Place Stanislas (with a lot of golden gates). Stanislaw was a Polish king and the Duc of Lorraine in the 18th century and he is wanted this place. Not surprising that his Sun is 'calling' (without major aspects in orb 5 degree or in sign) and his Moon is in Leo. Glitter and glamour!
A NICE TRIP WITH QUESTION MARKS
A NICE TRIP WITH QUESTION MARKS
We continued the trip on a day with transit Mercury opposition Jupiter. We changed the destination on the way because of the weather reports but it was a nice ride without problems. The weather got better and better. That is because we went South...
THE HAPPY HOLIDAY
Then, finally, with transit Jupiter trine Mercury (that is the day that I should have chosen for departure time. Mercury-Jupiter is good for traveling and communications**). Later, with transit Venus trine Sun (conjunct Pluto and sextile Neptune) we enjoyed the most beautiful view from a camping ever and nice weather for about 15 days. This is a photo taken from our place. Looks like trines, isn't it?
JUPITER-SATURN, UPS AND DOWNS
But all things come to an end.
When I was in France transit Saturn was exactly inconjunct my progressed Jupiter. That was the day that I bought souvenirs and suddenly felt homesick. Impossible, you'd think. France is beautiful, nice, charming and the weather is fine. Lavender, sunflowers, peach trees, tomatoe plants and medieval villages, sunshine, nice old men saying 'Bonjour, Madame'...
What more do you need? Well: home! You have to get back anyway and once you start thinking about it, just go. We do. If we can, we use to return one or two days earlier than we planned before, always. Silly but true. Si hemos de entrar en el desierto, ya estoy en el desierto... (If we have to enter the desert, I am already in the desert). This is my desert and that is in front of my home. They are doing the street...

| Planks to cover the sand in my street (not...) |
Anyway, what happened when we drove back home, just two days later? Trouble, trouble and trouble...3 times. Damage for the caravan, having to repair the car after a sudden stop at the busiest roundabout in town, and in between a hard fall on my knees*) because of the instable planks. Someone in front of me hit a plank and I was launched to the ground. This all was followed by a tetanus injection, Betadine, bruises and for the car a conflicting garage bill.
*)I fell with transit Mercury exactly conjunct my natal Pluto in the 6th house. Mercury-Pluto doesn't seem to help or ease any transport or communication.
**) With Jupiter-Mercury I wrote and translated a note for the other guests in two languages. Jupiter-Mercury also improved my French (J'espère!:)

Mars inconjunct Neptune, Sun inconjunct Venus
![]() |
| Venus by Duval |
A few days back the poll about Mars square Neptune (see right side bar or scroll down) showed that few of those who responded thought that a hard Mars-Neptune was a pleasant aspect. On Astromarkt I already showed examples of the effect of the inconjunction: getting out of balance, with the chance of a lost. Inconjunctions with Neptune often appear to go together with 'fallen angels' (idols or 'holy persons' losing their fans). Mars inconjunct Neptune, in the wrong hands, can lead to losing your job. That is what happened to David Wu now.
In the chart of Anders Breivik Mars is in aspect with Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. It seems that such a complicated aspect combination doesn't help to keep a man on the right track. The same sort of aspect combination can be seen in the chart of the day of birth of David Wu. He was born April 8, 1955 in Taiwan. On that day Mars was inconjunct Neptune, square Pluto and sextile Uranus.
PROGRESSIONS: INCONJUNCT A ' CALLING' VENUS
David Wu has rare aspects in progression.
1. His progressed Sun was inconjunct natal Venus last year.
2. Progressed Venus is semi sextile natal Sun.
That is two times problems with the ladies. Or with 'love'. Right now he is in the middle of a divorce. David Wu stepped back today, after accusations of sexual assault.
These rare progressed (and 'only' minor) aspects are so important because of the importance of Venus in his chart. Venus is in Pisces, in the 11th degree. That means that there are no major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees on April 8, 1955 and that Venus is 'calling'!
When Venus is 'calling' in a man's chart and there are such midpoint combinations like Venus opposition Uranus/Neptune ('one sided reveling in love' says Ebertin) the chance of a hype or scandal (Uranus/Neptune) regarding women might become real (but of course not without a little help of yourself).
TRANSITS
Now that he stepped back, transit Pluto is exactly opposition his progressed Mars (see chart). The Mars-Pluto combinaton is challenging and sometimes (self-) destructive.

Venus was also 'calling' in the chart of French President Mitterand. See it here:

Venus without major aspects is not uncommon in the charts of batchelors and cheats...

Sun/Venus midpoint combinations
Venus is the symbol of beauty and art. What we see above is not what we consider a beautiful woman, today. It all depends on culture and time (and gender), just like everything that we see in a chart. The Sun/Venus midpoint reveals more about love life and the way that you deal with the sweeter and softer sides of life.
When there is a hard aspect (45, 90, 135 or 180d) with the point between Sun and Venus, there is a midpoint combination of Sun/Venus with the planet or position in aspect. The midpoint combinations of Sun/Moon/Venus and Sun/Mercury/Venus have been published before. Here they are quoted and there is more about the other possible combinations of Sun/Venus with planets, Node, Ascendant and Midheaven.
Sun/Moon/Venus

Here they are quoted and there is more about the other possible combinations of Sun/Venus with planets, Node, Ascendant and Midheaven.
Sun/Moon/Venus
It is the combination of the art of living, the desire to live in peace and being charming in heart and soul (because you want to be loved and probably ARE).(see earlier post for more: http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/04/sunmoonvenus-midpoint-combinations.html)
Sun/Venus/Mars
Sun/Venus in hard aspect with Mars: that is a combination for highlighted passion, art and love. Both Paris Hilton and Paul McCartney have Sun conjunct Venus/Mars: that is another way to make a Sun/Venus/Mars midpoint combination.
Sun/Venus/Jupiter
Sun/Venus in hard aspect with Jupiter is the privilige of the lucky guy or girl: either in love or in art. Examples: Peter Paul Rubens (Venus conjunct Sun/Jupiter) and Brad Pitt (Jupiter square Sun/Venus) or Dutch Queen Beatrix who is a privileged person and a sculptor and has Sun/Venus/Jupiter combinations 3 times together with a conjunction of Sun, Venus and Jupiter. Sun/Venus/Jupiter makes you see the benefits of style and life is a celebration.
Sun/Venus/Saturn
There must be ‘another side of the coin’ for Brad Pitt, because he doesn’t only have a Sun/Venus/Jupiter-combination. He also has a Sun/Venus/Saturn combination! His Venus is conjunct Sun/Saturn. Linda Lovelace’s chart has Venus semi square Sun/Saturn.
This is the combination that shows you the limitations of love life and style and makes cautious in love (and art) because of earlier separations. With Sun-Venus-Saturn 'keeping up appearances in love life' might be one of the possible ways to read this midpoint combination.
Sun/Venus/Uranus
Sun/Venus with Uranus is very stimulating for an artist and produces a hectic love life. Tension goes together with the latest styles. Victoria Beckham has Venus sesquisquare Sun/Uranus. She is in the news often because of her husband’s supposed to be love adventures. In the C-rated chart of Astrodatabank, her Venus is trine Ascendant and sesquisquare Uranus, to illustrate the fact that she is a good looking woman. For more about Venus-Uranus, see Astropost.
Sun/Venus/Neptune
Sun/Venus with Neptune is for the romantic person or talented artist. This combination adds fantasy and dreams to the love life and life style. Karel Appel had Sun semi square Venus/Neptune, for example. Venus-Neptune is part of the pattern of artistic talents in a chart. See my blog Art&Astrology for more examples of the pattern.
Sun/Venus/Pluto
Sun/Venus with Pluto is an intense combination for love: it is all or nothing and there also may be money issues. With this combination your qualities to earn money might be highlighted, too. Sometimes Sun/Venus/Pluto mirrors a dramatic love life. Paul McCartney has Sun conjunct Venus/Pluto.
Venus/Pluto intensifies desires and wishes ('to have to have') and (with other indications) reflects special talents. Read more about Venus/Pluto on Astromarkt.
Sun/Venus/Node
Sun/Venus with Node is reflecting the shared joy of life, the diplomat and the beloved family or company of nice and talented people. It is likely that someone with this combination will do anything to improve the atmosphere. Prince Charles has Northern Node opposition Sun/Venus.
Sun/Venus/Ascendant
Sun/Venus with Ascendant wants to make the world look better. Francisco Goya used art to do so. He had Ascendant square Sun/Venus.
Sun/Venus/MC
Sun/Venus with Midheaven might have a professional career in art, as an artist, or related to love and beauty, just like movie star Monique van de Ven with Sun semi square Venus/Midheaven.

All you need is Venus
To finish the month about relationships and love*), I want to point at Venus, now in the romantic sign of Pisces and right now in my Ascendant's degree. So I just have to mention her...
Venus is the remedy for all that doesn't fit, doesn't match and doesn't seem appropiate. Venus is the symbol of sympathy and love. A famous couple with a long lasting marriage and no matching signs at all is Meryl Streep & Don Gummer. Her Venus is exactly trine his Venus: love is all you need, so all you need is VENUS!

Transits of Venus
Did this happen to you, too? Transit Venus was on your Midheven and exactly on that day something nice happened. I, for example, read that the view over the river would be permanent, because they would not build the house that would block the view, anymore. Hurray! The second time the garden was done and it was so cute! The third time I heard that I HAD that new job. So, in view of the fourth time, expectations were high and nothing happened. Don't ask me why not!@#!! Let us just remember that in about 75% of the transits of Venus with Midheaven, something enjoyable happens.
With Venus on the horizon (Ascendant-Descendant) something will chear you up or make you look better than ever. Because of that, everybody is nice! Venus is on the Ascendant when babies are born, weddings are being celebrated and partners are being introduced for the first time. For some reason, Venus is also there when people die (and rest in peace), as a sort of a mercy. In every such case: you will be treated gently. And the negative side of Venus is decadence (flattery and being lazy).
When Venus visits you, it is like if a nice and beautiful lady comes bye with presents and candy to make life look sweeter. If Jupiter joins her, you might expect even more (a party, for example). When times are hard, Venus is the smile, the comfort, the postcard and the compliment that helps you deal with life a little longer.
Transit Venus was on the progressed Descendant of Larry King on the day of his final show, adding some pleasure to the moment. Transit of Venus are like the sugar in the cup of tea...it is a small thing, but it makes it taste better.
When transit Venus is conjunct your natal Venus you are experiencing a 'Venus return'. The chart of that specific moment might tell you something about your desires and wishes in the coming period. I had my Venus return yesterday.

Dilma Roussef, Quaoar and the aspects of the progressed Sun
This post is about the next progressed aspects of the Sun related to the life of Dilma Rousseff, President of Brazil: Progressed Sun quindecile Uranus, Progressed Sun inconjunct Pluto, the changing sunsign of 1985 and the progressed Sun opposition progressed Saturn of 2005.
Transit Quaoar is on her Sun now and 3 progressed planets are in aspect with her important ('calling') Mars. I had a look at the progressions of the time when she was still an activist and to later aspects and changes. The progressed aspects correspond with the events. If you want to move directly to Astromarkt to see the article about the interpretation of aspects of the progressed Sun, click here...For the news about President Rousseff, see this link... Wedding day of William and Kate
The progressions and transits for the wedding day of William and Kate are so nice, that I just had to mention them. You know that Venus is the symbol of love, sweetness and fun. Jupiter is the symbol of happiness and success. Neptune is the planet of romance. Together they are the combination of the fairy tale or dream marriage! This trio is in the chart of Prince William starting end of April of 2011! Venus and Neptune are important in the chart of William on the day of the wedding ceremony. In the follow-up there is Progressed Venus trine Jupiter. The meaning of these progressions and transits is: a romantic wedding day and good feelings afterwards. Love is in the air and in the chart of Prince William. On the wedding day (April 29, 2011):
- The progressed Venus of William is conjunct his natal Sun (and that means the start of married life with the love of your life).
- Neptune is trine this conjunction for the romantic touch.
- And another good indication is progressed Venus trine Jupiter, later in 2011, for the happy couple. No regrets:)
(There is only one 'but': transit Uranus inconjunct Midheaven. That is for an overdose of tension and nerves, I presume.)
Kate's progressed Mars square Sun and trine progressed Sun is a double symbol of marriage. (The midpoint Sun/Mars in the chart of a woman is also the midpoint of marriage -meaning: living with a man, sharing life with a man, the 'man in your life' -). Her Ascendant and Midheaven might also be 'touched' by the event, but as her hour of birth is unknown, this remains a mystery.
Here is the natal chart of Willam with transits and progressions for the perfectly chosen date of the wedding. With such beautiful aspects you might wonder if an astrologer selected this date...or...that there is indeed correspondence between the positions in a chart and real life events...Love is in the air...

PS
What is interesting is, that the wide Sun square Mars in the natal chart is resonating in this double Mars-Sun combination while his Venus inconjunct Neptune is resonated by Neptune trine progressed Venus. Perhaps that illustrates the importance of the event or shows how their natural hesitations will have been 'overruled' on April 29, 2011.

(Progressed) Sun-Venus aspects
Venus is the symbol of aesthetics and all that is related to the good things in life. Words like honey, beauty, charm, diplomacy, style, decoration, entertainment, pleasure, kindness, sweetness, love and tenderness, but also being lazy, having fun and relaxing cross my mind. Peace and quiet, consolation and the experience of kindness are also part of the vocabulary of Venus. There must be many more words ruled by Venus. One of them is 'wish'. The Sun in aspect with Venus sheds a bright light on aesthetics and on what you desire. Mostly the aspect is the conjunction, sometimes it is the half semi square or semi square. In progression we see the same kind of aspects between Sun and Venus. A conjunction refers to a starting point or to ‘ coming together’ . When the Sun is together with Venus, we expect the light to be tempered, the warmth to be nice and life to go along with pleasures, luxury and love. It is the kind of aspect that belongs to easy going, relaxed and well educated persons. It is useless in the hands of brutes and can be abused to ' charm' others for profit. With the Sun conjunct Venus you want to be nice or look nice and be liked.
When the progressed Sun is conjunct Venus (or progressed Venus) life developes in a pleasant way (often according to your wishes). This might be manifested by getting married, having a baby, finding love or starting a life as an artist, realising how nice life is, getting closer to your true love, becoming a diplomate or starting a more relaxed period in life with more fun than before. You want to be estetic, look good and get associates.
I have seen this aspect in the charts of bachelors who decided to get married late. I have seen it in the charts of artist when they started to BE an artist (a pro). I have seen it in the charts of people who experienced an improvement in life. This progression occurs at any age and sometimes it is when a person is a child. When a wish (Venus) comes true (Sun) at young age, it is often the realization of a parent’s wish and the child being ‘ sweet’.
Progressed Sun conjunct Venus opens your eyes for what is beautiful, for art, for pleasure, for the good things in life.
With the half semisquare or semisquare it might be more difficult to get what you desire, but there is always an awareness of what is beautiful and desirable. Other possible events for an artist: starting another sort of art (painting instead of making movies, making music instead or decorating houses).
Aspects of Venus specify the sort of ‘ estetics’ involved. When Uranus is in aspect with Venus in the natal chart, excitement, adventures and surprises go along with Venus. When it is Saturn, there will be responsibilities, parenthood, mortgages and possibly breaking points. With Jupiter it is a party. With Mars passion is involved. With Neptune it is romance and with Pluto it is a challenge. But always, the Sun with Venus refers to making choices, to preferences, taste and desire. From that moment on you will know what makes your life a happy life and who or what you need to live happy ever after the progressed Sun in aspect with Venus. Sometimes it is your carreer (with a partner) like Tina Turner ((See Astrology and Love) Sometimes improvement is a divorce (like in the case of Princess Margareth of England who separated in the year of Progressed Sun conjunct Venus. See http://astrology-love-romance.blogspot.com/2009/06/famous-couples-princess-margaret-and.html ...Arnold Schwarzenegger’s star was rising when he was Conan the Barbarian and had progressed Sun conjunct Venus.
Maybe this aspect provides you with what you wished for. So be carefull what you wish when your progressed Sun is about to make an aspect with (progressed) Venus:). It doesn't happen often. And just like transit Venus conjunct Sun or Midheaven, it may just be unnoticed or get bye without much excitement or appreciation from your side, depending on your natal chart, contemporary transits and progressions etc.
