Pisces astrologer Susan Miller

Pisces Susan Miller is a very popular contemporary (sun sign) astrologer with a crowd of dedicated and sometimes depending followers. What in her chart helped her to become an astrologer and a famous one, too? And what in her chart tells us about the lack of sleep to do all that she does (daily horoscopes, celebrity horoscopes, consultations, interviews, hosting Astrology zone etc.et.)
Let’s see.

I’ll use my usual method to read charts (also see: http://www.astromarkt.net/chart-analysis.html

1.     Astro ID
Uranus conjunct Ascendant and Pallas (symbol of seeing patterns) on the MC. Jupiter doesn’t make aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees. Now we have a prominence of Uranus (angular) and Jupiter (calling!). Jupiter-Uranus is the combination that is linked to (many if not most of the) astrologers, mirroring a helicopter view (‘from above’). For more examples, see Astropost (http://astropost.blogspot.nl/search/label/astrologers for more charts of astrologers)

Mars is also ‘calling’ (no aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees) AND Mars is rising before the Sun on her day of birth. That points at the importance of the planet of energy twice and mirrors the active workaholic, someone who is very productive. An entrepreneur pur sang.

Now we have the Astro ID that could fit on an astrologer or an astronautJ

2.    Character
50% in mutable signs, Sun Pisces, Virgo Moon*) and a Gemini Ascendant, Sun/Moon midpoint in Sagittarius, square Mercury
Mutable =movable
J Sensitivity and mediagenic Pisces with ‘at your service’ Moon and communicative (forever young) Gemini Ascendant.
The midpoint Sun/Moon in Sagittarius square Mercury combination will be motivated by doing it her own way, by ideas and success and because of Mercury this involves communications.

Sun in a narrow square with Uranus and Uranus quatronovile (160d) Jupiter connect the important Uranus and Jupiter (see 1. Astro ID) and repeat the combination of the helicopter view that I found in the charts of (some modern) popes, astronauts and astrologers.
There is Mars inconjunct Saturn as a warning for working too hard!

A dedicated communicator with a helicopter view, motivated by successful communications and: with a tendency to work too hard!

3.    Patterns and points, specials
There is an OOB Pluto biquintile the Sun. Biquintiles are double quintiles and quintiles are the symbols of creativity. A creative way to be a master? Strong willed creativity? You name it.

Aquarius is the sign on cusp X (Midheaven) and Uranus is prominent (angular) in Pisces, so we have independence and originality coming out.
Successful combinations in astrology are of course those with Jupiter involved. Jupiter-Uranus combinations help you to look far ahead (your helicopoter view) and see what is needed (like in case of astrology) and that is a help. Jupiter-Pluto combinations intensify confidence and so: success (Jupiter in Scorpio – ruled by Pluto – is ‘calling’). A lot of followers and fans will be shown by Jupiter-Neptune (her Jupiter/Neptune midpoint is semi square her Sun/Moon midpoint). Mercury-Jupiter helps to spread the word (and she has the Moon conjunct Mercury/Jupiter midpoint).

Venus opposition Saturn in 3-9 is very tight, but not part of this article that concentrates on the astrologer in the chart. And on how the sun sign manifests itself. She said that Sun Pisces = philosophical and that led her to astrology. With the Pisces Sun biquintile Pluto we get a spiritual compound in her chart.

Of course, with her chart she didn't HAVE to be an astrologer. Circumstances, situations, culture: it all contributed to her chosen career.

Golden Oldies - 3- events

There have been 2 'golden oldies' posts now (see label). One with links to (in my opinion interesting) posts about crime, one about basic astrology. They contain links to posts that I have chosen because of the fact that they are a good old example to be used in the study of astrology, even though they were written in 2007/2008 and even though I learnt since then (I hope)... Here you find some examples of shocking events in the past.

1. When planets don't make narrow aspects in sign, I name them 'calling' planets. They manifest at any possible level, somehow, anyhow. A natal Sun without Ptolemaic aspects within 5 degrees of orb, in sign, is a 'calling' Sun. Somehow this natal Sun will draw attention, take the lead and be the 'star'. He or she will be noticed.

The founder of the FARC in Colombia, Manuel Marulanda, died and I noticed that he had that calling Sun, too. There are a lot of bosses and leaders (of the band) with a calling Sun (see the label for more examples). They are not always terrorist. This one had Mars and Uranus rising before his natal Sun. Read about his chart here:
http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2008/05/birth-chart-manual-marulanda.html
With Mars-Uranus you may be accelerating , things must go faster than fast. Your short fuse demands change immediately and that is why so many terrorists have a Mars-Uranus aspect or Sun related to midpoint Mars/Uranus as you may see on Astromarkt.
http://www.astromarkt.net/mars-in-aspect-with-uranus.html

2. In June 2008 the city of Donetsk was shocked by an explosion. The chart of that moment has Uranus elevated, Neptune on Midheaven opposition Mars and Mars biquintile Uranus. Mars-Uranus (see under 1.) is explosive by nature.

http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2008/06/chart-of-mine-explosion-in-donetsk.html

More explosions:
The explosion caused by Breivik in Oslo, had AC/MC midpoint opposition Uranus, while Mars was rising before the Sun ( http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2011/07/chart-of-oslo-explosion.html )
Uranus rises before the Sun in the chart of the explosion in Cali ( http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2008/09/bomb-explosion-in-cali-reminds-us-of.html
Those placements occur every day. They mirror a shocking moment.

3. They shocked the world, but there was no Mars-Uranus explosive matererial in their charts.
Do the charts of two men who caused bank crashes (Kerviel and Leeson) look alike? Find the answer:

Except for a sharp mind and passion the charts of Leeson and Kerviel don't have much in common. If Kerviel was born in the early morning, he and Leeson would share the Moon in Virgo (for a need to offer services). In the charts of both men Saturn is prominent (related to Zero Aries, Aries Point. That is a signal for the importance of hierarchy, management and rules. I think it is interesting that in both charts Mars and Neptune are rising before the Sun.

The progressed charts: Neptune in a hard aspect with Jupiter, right on the day that the fairy tale ended. Jupiter-Neptune is a combination for speculations that is also found in the charts of religious people and in the charts of idols (like Tom Cruise, who is both idol and religious, see message below). The hard aspect might point at the negative consequences (Neptune) of arrogancy (Jupiter). http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2008/01/jrome-kerviel-and-nick-leeson-same.html

(Note: Jupiter and Neptune are related to believing audiences. They couldn't have done what they did, without a number of fans.)

The astrology of Marquis de Sade

The chart of the author of 'Fifty shades' is as unknown as her date of birth. Now that '50 shades of Grey' is such a success, maybe it is a good time to have a look a the chart of Marquis De Sade, the man who gave his name to sadism. He didn't only write about sadism… he practised it.
What is in his chart?

CHART
Astro.com provides the AA-rated natal chart and an autobiography: http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Sade,_Marquis_de
Here is more about the chart. There are a number of keys to his lifestyle. This chart has progressions (the green positions) and transits (the red ones) for his wedding day.

DOMINANCE: PLUTO
The Astro ID is like the 'special marks' in a passport. For this I look at the planets without major aspects, the planets on the angles or square AC and the planet rising before the Sun. Here we see:

Pluto on the Scorpio Ascendant
Mars rising before the Sun, square Venus-Saturn

Pluto is most prominent (angular). This placement mirrors the importance of cases of life and death, values, power and …sexuality. There is another reason for the importance of Pluto.
There is also a Golden Yod (quintiles/biquintiles) of Sun, Pluto and Midheaven, pointing at Pluto (dominance), creatively (quintiles). In the days of Marquis de Sade, Pluto was still unknown...

Second best is Mars: he is a do-er, an activist, aggressive maybe…but first of all: a man. The importance of Mars + Pluto is the importance of acts of violence and the drive to win (to be dominating).

Mars and Pluto are both in aspect with Midheaven (position, career). You might say that his intense (PLUTO) male hormones (MARS) were related to his reputation.

CHARACTER
The Gemini Sun and Virgo Moon with Scorpio Ascendant show us an intellectual person with a rather courageous or brutal way of 'doing it'. Writing pornographic sadistic stories seems to be in line with communicating (Mercury ruled Gemini and Virgo) about sex (Scorpio).

PASSION+DISCIPLINE+PAIN
Venus square Mars for passion and Saturn for the restrictions, the fear and control. With Venus-Saturn we see a marriage of convenience and broken hearts. Mars square Saturn challenges discipline. But another way to read this is: controlled (Saturn) passion (Venus). Sadism is about being in control + sex.

The tightest aspect in the chart is Moon trine Uranus, expressing the need for excitement and 'new' experiences.

I already mentioned the Golden Yod of Sun-Pluto and Midheaven. I also like to mention Sun/Moon conjunct Venus: being motivated by women, pleasure, style, beauty...

MARRIAGE AND NEPTUNE
I included the progessions for his wedding day for a reason...
When he married (May 17, 1763) there was a very illustrative aspect in his progressed chart. Progressed Sun in the 8th house (sex) was conjunct Neptune, ruler 5  (games) in the 8th house (sex). That is when it all started.

END
It ended after years in an institution for the mentally ill. It might have been a political choice, but it is also true that his stories were a lot more explicit and sadistic than the soft pornographic affair in '50 shades of Grey'...

Transits on the road

Usually I don't make notes or keep a diary (and I really plan - again- to do that from now on). But, during my holidays in France, I did and noted the position with the help of my apps. See for example the mail about the Virgo Moon on my Descendant and the desperate need to wash my hands:).
This post is about what happened during some more transits that I had in August: Jupiter inconjunct Saturn (ups and downs), Venus trine Sun (nice time!), Mercury-Jupiter opposition and trine (swift transport and communication), Mercury-Pluto conjunction (@$%&!), Jupiter inconjunct Quaoar (going out, but...).

JUPITER-QUAOAR AT THE START
When we left home, transit Jupiter was inconjunct Quaoar to illustrate the international perspective and things you forget, like passports and hand bags. Should Jupiter-Quaoar mean 'new perspective for a voyage related to a loss'? Next time I won't leave on such a day. And in particular not because it was also a Mercury-Neptune day (see the post). It kept us in Nancy for a few days longer. That wasn't so bad at all. Now we could see Place Stanislas (with a lot of golden gates). Stanislaw was a Polish king and the Duc of Lorraine in the 18th century and he is wanted this place. Not surprising that his Sun is 'calling' (without major aspects in orb 5 degree or in sign) and his Moon is in Leo. Glitter and glamour!

A NICE TRIP WITH QUESTION MARKS

We continued the trip on a day with transit Mercury opposition Jupiter. We changed the destination on the way because of the weather reports but it was a nice ride without problems. The weather got better and better. That is because we went South...

THE HAPPY HOLIDAY
Then, finally, with transit Jupiter trine Mercury (that is the day that I should have chosen for departure time. Mercury-Jupiter is good for traveling and communications**). Later, with transit Venus trine Sun (conjunct Pluto and sextile Neptune) we enjoyed the most beautiful view from a camping ever and nice weather for about 15 days. This is a photo taken from our place. Looks like trines, isn't it?

JUPITER-SATURN, UPS AND DOWNS
But all things come to an end.
When I was in France transit Saturn was exactly inconjunct my progressed Jupiter. That was the day that I bought souvenirs and suddenly felt homesick. Impossible, you'd think. France is beautiful, nice, charming and the weather is fine. Lavender, sunflowers, peach trees, tomatoe plants and medieval villages, sunshine, nice old men saying 'Bonjour, Madame'...

What more do you need? Well: home! You have to get back anyway and once you start thinking about it, just go. We do. If we can, we use to return one or two days earlier than we planned before, always. Silly but true. Si hemos de entrar en el desierto,  ya estoy en el desierto... (If we have to enter the desert, I am already in the desert). This is my desert and that is in front of my home. They are doing the street...
Planks to cover the sand in my street (not...)
BACK HOME WITH MERCURY-PLUTO AND JUPITER-SATURN
Anyway, what happened when we drove back home, just two days later? Trouble, trouble and trouble...3 times. Damage for the caravan, having to repair the car after a sudden stop at the busiest roundabout in town, and in between a hard fall on my knees*) because of the instable planks. Someone in front of me hit a plank and I was launched to the ground. This all was followed by a tetanus injection, Betadine, bruises and for the car a conflicting garage bill.

*)I fell with transit Mercury exactly conjunct my natal Pluto in the 6th house. Mercury-Pluto doesn't seem to help or ease any transport or communication.

**) With Jupiter-Mercury I wrote and translated a note for the other guests in two languages. Jupiter-Mercury also improved my French (J'espère!:)
