(Progressed) Sun-Venus aspects

Venus is the symbol of aesthetics and all that is related to the good things in life. Words like honey, beauty, charm, diplomacy, style, decoration, entertainment, pleasure, kindness, sweetness, love and tenderness, but also being lazy, having fun and relaxing cross my mind. Peace and quiet, consolation and the experience of kindness are also part of the vocabulary of Venus. There must be many more words ruled by Venus. One of them is 'wish'.

The Sun in aspect with Venus sheds a bright light on aesthetics and on what you desire. Mostly the aspect is the conjunction, sometimes it is the half semi square or semi square. In progression we see the same kind of aspects between Sun and Venus. A conjunction refers to a starting point or to ‘ coming together’ . When the Sun is together with Venus, we expect the light to be tempered, the warmth to be nice and life to go along with pleasures, luxury and love. It is the kind of aspect that belongs to easy going, relaxed and well educated persons. It is useless in the hands of brutes and can be abused to ' charm' others for profit. With the Sun conjunct Venus you want to be nice or look nice and be liked.

When the progressed Sun is conjunct Venus (or progressed Venus) life developes in a pleasant way (often according to your wishes). This might be manifested by getting married, having a baby, finding love or starting a life as an artist, realising how nice life is, getting closer to your true love, becoming a diplomate or starting a more relaxed period in life with more fun than before. You want to be estetic, look good and get associates.
I have seen this aspect in the charts of bachelors who decided to get married late. I have seen it in the charts of artist when they started to BE an artist (a pro). I have seen it in the charts of people who experienced an improvement in life. This progression occurs at any age and sometimes it is when a person is a child. When a wish (Venus) comes true (Sun) at young age, it is often the realization of a parent’s wish and the child being ‘ sweet’.

Progressed Sun conjunct Venus opens your eyes for what is beautiful, for art, for pleasure, for the good things in life.
With the half semisquare or semisquare it might be more difficult to get what you desire, but there is always an awareness of what is beautiful and desirable. Other possible events for an artist: starting another sort of art (painting instead of making movies, making music instead or decorating houses).

Aspects of Venus specify the sort of ‘ estetics’ involved. When Uranus is in aspect with Venus in the natal chart, excitement, adventures and surprises go along with Venus. When it is Saturn, there will be responsibilities, parenthood, mortgages and possibly breaking points. With Jupiter it is a party. With Mars passion is involved. With Neptune it is romance and with Pluto it is a challenge. But always, the Sun with Venus refers to making choices, to preferences, taste and desire. From that moment on you will know what makes your life a happy life and who or what you need to live happy ever after the progressed Sun in aspect with Venus. An hour of birth for Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes is one of the few characters in a book with a date of birth and it is January 6, 1854. Read Tonic.com about the reason why it is January 6. I started looking at the chart without hour, and than I got the idea to find a suitable hour of birth. It is a complete fantasy, I know, pure fiction but: 9:45 a.m. fits the man of the books of Conan Doyle and of the latest movie. It is an ambitious intellectual, sometimes overdoing it when he talks about his methods. He is married to his job and very dedicated. He also has a close male friend who is a doctor. It is all in that chart.

MERCURY INCONJUNCT SATURN ' CALLING'
On that specific day in history Mercury and Saturn didn’t make major (Ptolemaic) aspects and Mercury was inconjunct Saturn. Now that is an aspect that is very interesting for the detective who used certain scientific methods to find out who ‘done it’ . The calling Mercury inconjunct Saturn is reflecting scientific (and sometimes restricted) information at any possible level and without balance coming from an ambitious intellectual. Very Sherlock!:)

JUPITER
The ambitious intellectual is an optimist and a traveler who goes for success. Jupiter is oriental to reflect that. Mercury, Saturn and Jupiter together tell us about the mistakes and the glory of his intellect. Jupiter in the 11th house gives him a friend who is publishing about his successes and who is a doctor (very Jupiter).

DEDICATION
Watch Venus quindecile Mars! That is a guarantee for a strong focus on a passion (a dedication) or an obsession when it comes to making love. Mars is in the 7th house, afflicted by Venus and Pluto (Mars is sesquisquare Pluto). Mars is the focal planet in a pattern (funnel), in Virgo (…) and in the 7th house. Partner (7) is male (Mars) and it is complete decent, really (it is Virgo). That explains his relationship with woman and the dedication to his work. He was married to his work!

DISCRETION AND SECRECY
The 20 degree Aquarius Ascendant is in the middle of Neptune and Pluto? He is always dealing with matters that require discretion and he is investigating (Pluto) hidden and obscure things (Neptune). Neptune is square Midheaven, because there is some secrecy about the man and because he is after all just a fantasy. The Sun is on AC/MC, and he IS a star!Sun/Moon = Venus and that means that he is motivated by pleasure fun love talents and diplomacy or art. And of course, Sherlock Holmes IS fun! He also likes citing Shakespeare, so there is a need for beauty and art. He is well dressed and he smokes a pipe (see the picture:). I can explain why he is smoking. It is Neptune in the first house in Pisces!

INVENTIVE
Now I almost forgot to mention Jupiter ruler 10 trine Uranus ruler 1. It is a combination for being inventive and for successful techniques used in his profession. That completes this post. Neptune and the chart of Farrah Fawcett

Farrah Fawcett has been hospitalized now. She suffers from cancer. On September 29, 2006, she was told that she had anal cancer. That day there were 3 transit inconjunction with her progressed chart:

- transit Mercury inconjunct Saturn (bad news); Mercury is quindecile Saturn in the natal chart

- transit Uranus inconjunct Pluto (a dramatic change or intense shock that is causing misbalance)

- transit Saturn inconjunct Mars (disproportionate halt to energy); Mars is in the eight house square Saturn in her natal chart.

Often,when there are 3 inconjunctions in transit at the time, there is an unpleasant situation.

INCONJUNCTION
The inconjunction in general refers to losing, loss and sometimes (like in this case) to illnesses. In the natal chart there is only one inconjunction: between Moon and Mars. Mars is another prominent planet in her chart. Mars is the planet of orientation (rising before the Sun) and in the 8th house, in opposition with Saturn. And the Moon is very important,too. The Moon is on the Ascendant, in Cancer and not making Ptolemaic aspects. The Moon in Cancer has the most important position in her chart. So, Moon inconjunct Mars is a very important aspect in her chart, relating the ruler of the Ascendant and an important planet in the 8th house of crisis.

NEPTUNE
Mid-May 2007 she heard that the cancer, that was supposed to be in remission after treatment, had recurred. Now that she is in hospital transit Neptune is square the progressed Midheaven. Neptune symbolises weakness or being ill (a negative or isolated - Neptune - condition - Midheaven*). Neptune rules her natal Midheaven and is positioned at the lowest spot of the chart, a crucial position.

There is also a growing opposition between the Sun and Neptune in the primary chart, culminating in the first half of June.

David Boyle , Saturn and the chart of his day of birth

Often transits of Saturn force a person to face the facts, take responsibility, step back even...But sometimes Saturn comes as a blessing. That is when you worked very hard to earn it.
It happened to Danny Boyle today. Transit Saturn square Progressed Sun. And...transit Pluto square progressed Mars, for competition and winning it. Those are not easy aspects. But they come at the moment of winning an Oscar. Perhaps Jupiter or Venus was in contact with natal or progressed Midheaven, but we don't know without hour of birth.

UNESPECTED SUN AND MERCURY
On the day that movie director Danny Boyle was born, the Sun did not make Ptolemaic aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees. I name that a 'calling' Sun (a Sun that reflects a vocation to lead and draw attention). The conjunction with Neptune is just out of sign, but reflects that he lives in a imaginary or empathic world (the world of the movies). When he was a boy, he wanted to be a priest (note that Neptune is the symbol of the amorphous worlds...).

Mercury is rising before the Sun and does not make any major aspects at all. Communication is prominent in this chart. An unaspected sun is perfect for a director, because it means that he is in the center of attention. An unaspected Mercury is a good thing for people with a message.

ARTISTIC PATTERN

We see Moon oppposition Neptune (for sensitivity) with Venus semi square Neptune (for artistic talent)...that is an artistic pattern like the ones in the charts of artists (on my blog Art&Astrology). There is more...Notice the combination of Sun in Libra and Moon in Taurus, both ruled by Venus, planet of beauty and style! And the tight semi square between Jupiter and Uranus is telling us that a pleasant surprise and change in life would sometimes happen. And yesterday it happened to him.

MIDPOINTS

Let us not forget that he has midpoint combinations for success, like Sun semi square Jupiter/Pluto, Mercury conjunct Jupiter/Neptune and 67.56 Mars/Jupiter, 22.5 Venus/Jupiter. Venus is half semi square Sun/Jupiter and square Mars/Jupiter, 22.5 Jupiter/Neptune. Here we have 7 indications and we don't even know the positions of Moon, ASC and MC!

David Boyle is the only famous person born on October 20, 1956, as far as I know. The road to fame is carved by genes, circumstances, social position, education and fortunate meetings. I find it interesting that in the year of his first awarded movie ('Shallow Grave') progressed Saturn was conjunct progressed Sun. And that the present great success goes together with Transit Saturn square Sun. Saturn sometimes gives a present and to Boyle he gives awards.

Beth Ditto's Sun square Uranus shows

Beth Ditto (born 19 February 1981 in Arkansas) is on the front page of a magazine, nude. The heavy weight feminist has Sun square Uranus and that explanes a lot. Sun-Uranus wants to be different from the rest. Often the intention is to change the world or to cause controversies. And there is a strong will to be and remain independent.

Yes, Ditto does it. Ditto dares. And she does it with the Sun changing sign to Aries Point. That seems good timing to me. With Sun on Aries Point you are 'in the picture' and the changing sun sing reflects that she is on the move. Here is the picture:

Chart of Mata Hari (and Christine Keeler's)

A natal chart shows the profile, the character and the important issues in life. What happens next, following birth, is shown in transits and progressions. Of course: related to social position, history and culture. The same positions and aspects don't reflect the same kind of life. That said, I like to show you the resemblance of two charts and the resemblance of two lives.

These are the charts of Christine Keeler and Mata Hari. Observe the 7 important and prominent shared components of their charts. In this post I will also show you how the most prominent planetary combinations in Mata Hari's chart at birth are present at the day of her execution (activating the natal positions). Meanwhile I introduce (or I recall, for those who have visited my blog before) the effect of Neptune-Pluto and Mars-Uranus, with a few links (scroll down) for more information.

WHO ARE THEY?
Christine Keeler is the famous call girl who slept with John Profumo AND a Russian guy, Yevgeny Ivanov. Mata Hari is the oriental nude dancer who was executed during the First World War after accusations of being a spy. If you are interested in the artistic side of Mata Hari, see Art&Astrology.

WHAT DO THEY SHARE?
Both ladies earned their money in the sex industry and both got into trouble because of the fact that they slept with 'both sides', one in a real war and one in the 'cold war'. They share more. They both lost a child and were not lucky with male partners. And there is much likeness in their charts.

What their charts share are:
1. Mars conjunct Uranus, tightly, for an extraordinary drive (or special sexual activity)
2. Sun on top, for drawing attention
3. Important Pluto (symbol of money and sex and politics). In the chart of Mata Hari Pluto is the first outer planet rising before the Sun. In the chart of Christine Keeler Pluto is on the IC (opposition MC).
4. Neptune is equally important in the chart of Mata Hari (on the Descendant) as in the chart of Christine Keeler (first outer rising planet before the Sun, opposition Aries Point).
5. 23rd degree of fixed signs. Christine Keeler has Mars conjunct Saturn in the 23rd of Taurus. Mata Hari has Jupiter in the 23rd of Scorpio and the Midheaven in the 23rd of Leo. See 'OFF TOPIC', below.
6. Neptune and Pluto are both prominent and related to the Sun (Mata Hari has Sun square Neptune/Pluto; Keeler has Sun opposition Neptune/Pluto - a midpoint yod pointing at the Sun).
7. Ceres is important. IN Mata Hari's chart Ceres is on the Ascendant, in Christine Keeler's chart Ceres is the first object rising before the Sun. Ceres symbolizes 'mother nature', the forces of nature and nurture. (BTW Ceres is the mother of Proserpine, who was taken and raped by Pluto and forced to live with him in winter.)

It is the combination of the shared items that does 'it'. Their charts reflect the importance of being a 'starry' but discrete woman with a special urge to be independent and adventurous. And notice how politics (Pluto) influenced their lives. In the chart of Mata Hari Mars and Uranus are conjunct Midheaven. Uranus on Midheaven is reflecting controversy. There is still controversy about the question if she was or was not a spy.

MATA HARI's BIRTH CHART AND DEATH
In the chart of Mata Hari Sun, Mars, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are more important than the other positions in her chart. Sun, Mars and Uranus are on top or on the MC. Neptune is angular (on the Descendant). Pluto is the oriental planet (as Pluto is the first outer planet rising before the Sun). Mars, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto were all active when she was executed.

On 24 July 1917 Mata Hari was convicted to death with transit Uranus opposition her Midheaven (and that activated the natal Uranus conjunct Midheaven!). Transit Mars was opposition her progressed Ascendant during the dubious trial and on the day of the verdict Uranus was opposition progressed Uranus, while Saturn was inconjunct Saturn and Mars inconjunct Jupiter. She could not believe that the death sentence was true.

She had been a suspect since May 1916 (with progressed Ascendant inconjunct progressed Neptune and the progressed Midheaven inconjunct progressed Neptune in November). Neptune is an important factor in times of being suspected (or when 'they talk about you') and when things are not as they seem.

Transit Pluto was square progressed Midheaven and inconjunct progressed Ascendant on the day of her execution. Transit Mars was conjunct Uranus (activating the existing Mars-Uranus conjunction on the day that she was born). Neptune was square natal Ascendant....Notice how Neptune and Pluto (the most important planets in her natal chart) were present on the day she died. That was the day that she became legendary. Uranus' transit on the day of the verdict is also very telling!

The most important planets in her natal chart were making tight aspects on the day that she died.

Birth chart Betty Page

Bettie Page, the first pin-up ever, died and this is her chart. The planet of arts and beauty (Venus) is rising before the Sun and 'calling' (not making major aspects in sign). Uranus square the Midheaven is illustrative for the upheavel around her. Uranus is semi square the 'calling Sun' and this makes you think about drawing attention and wanting to be in the center of attention at any possible level, being controversial if she had to. Breaking free most have been a central theme in her life (Sun quindecile Saturn and semi square Uranus). I suddenly remember that she was famous for bondage...

Betty Page has a prominent Sun, Mercury (semi square Aries Point), Venus (not aspected), Mars (dito), Jupiter (sesquisquare AP) and Neptune (dito).

Her Moon is strong in Cancer and final dispositor of the Midheaven. The Moon in Cancer is telling us about the need to 'pretend' or 'act' or to be the 'model'. Education of kids is related to the Moon and little children imitate the model (the mother for example). Many actors have a prominent Moon as they mirror the behaviour of the main character. This Moon conjunct Pluto on the cusp of the 5th house could be read as 'being a model strongly related to sexuality for entertainment'.

O.J. Simpson verdict

O.J. Simpson has been sentenced and given 33 years in prison. He won't be free before 2017. But it could have been worse. He could have gotten life. Maybe that is why on the day of the verdict transit Jupiter is inconjunct Uranus. The combination Jupiter-Uranus is usually an indication for a relief. An inconjunction however reflects misbalance and misplaced feelings or events. Jupiter inconjunct Uranus could be read like this: a relief, but (or one with another side of the story...) And that 'but' is that he will be in jail for long.

SUN-SATURN = Uranus/Pluto
It is rather classical in astrology that a Sun-Saturn conflict related to a placement in the 12th house reflects the risk of imprisonment. The Sun-Saturn conflict in the chart of Simpson measures 22.5 degrees. The half semi square is maybe not the usual kind of conflict and a minor aspect, but in the 22.5 degree midpoint range Sun and Saturn are part of the same midpoint combinations. Sun is conjunct and Saturn is 22.5 degrees away from the midpoint of arrests: Uranus/Pluto (sudden and revolutionary bad change in life). In his solar return for this year, Saturn is on a crucial spot at the bottom of the chart. Mostly that tells us that a person's status is not improving in the year to come...

BTW The Sun of Simpson is also conjunct Saturn/Uranus (limited freedom).

Astrology chart Robert Pattinson (no HOB) and the transit of Jupiter

A fortunate transit of Jupiter trine Sun goes together with the international release of 'Twilight' with the starring role for Robert Pattinson. There are less fortunate moments for a release...

TRANSITS
Transit Jupiter trine Sun, transit Neptunus square Sun: It is the combination for having fans at the moment. Robert Pattinson (Twilight), born in London on May 13, 1986, meets crowds of screaming girls wherever he goes.

But, because Jupiter's trine is first and Neptune's square follows there is the possibility of negative press or a dissapointment ahead. Maybe the present excitement and chears are just too much to be true?

NATAL
In his natal chart there is already a potential for having an audience or public:
- Jupiter is quintile Neptune,
- Sun sextile Jupiter and sesquisquare Neptune.
And Venus opposition Uranus and quindecile (165 d) Neptune refers to being an artist and to music, too. The sense of art is also reflected by the position of Sun in Taurus and Moon in Cancer (a good sign for anyone who needs to 'pretend' or 'act').

So again, for arts we find Taurus/Cancer, Venus-Neptune and Jupiter-Neptune (for the audience).

MORE OBSERVATIONS
- Jupiter is the oriental (first rising important planet) in his chart. That refers to international affairs, travelling and publications. The trine coming from Jupiter know activates the existing potential in the natal chart.

- Saturn is the 'calling' planet*) in this chart. That makes you think of business. Saturn is the planet for managers, too. Well, who knows what is next?

- Pattinson is active as an actor and as a musician. This multiple activity might be contributed to the position of Venus in Gemini (a double sign).

- Just like Daniel Craig, Robert Pattinson does not seem to be the 'usual guy'. Both have a difficult distance between Sun and Uranus (Craig a quindecile, Pattinson an inconjunction). Remember the controversy about Craig being James Bond?

Today André Rieu and 250 other artist had a mega concert in Melbourne, and I saw it on Dutch TV. It was a great show for a wonderful public. I have posted his natal chart before and you can read it here.

Ian Fleming was born May 28, 1908, at 10 past midnigth in London (Mayfair). He created James Bond. In his birth chart you see the angular formula for successes: Sun and Jupiter are prominent in his chart. He had but a few years to enjoy it.

The writer in this chart can be found easily. Mercury is the final dispositor of th the MC-routing (through Jupiter in Leo, Sun in Gemini, Mercury in Gemini). and watch the pattern:

Daniel Craig was born March 2, 1968 in Chester U.K. Right now Pluto is trine his Jupiter and that shows a success. Quantum of Solace broke all records last week. Daniel Craig is James Bond.
It often happens that actors have the profile of their role in their charts. So it is with the actors who did James Bond. And so it is with Daniel Craig. His chart is the chart of strong and impressive person. How does his chart show that he is the perfect Bond? First of all he is an actor (Neptune, symbol of the immaterial world, is oriental in his chart).
1. He has Mars conjunct Saturn in Aries for the real tough guy.
2. Sun and Pluto are 'calling' (not making major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees), so that his strength and courage draw attention.
3. The combination of Neptune and Pluto is the combination of the silent force…perfect for a spy.

Remember when it became known that he should be the next James Bond? Protests all over the world, because he was not the prototype (blond, different shape of the body, not the 'beautiful man'). At that time (2005/2006) he had transit Uranus conjunct his natal Sun. Uranus is the symbol of controversy. The conjunction appeared also in his solar return chart for 2006 and activated an existing quindecile between Sun and Uranus in his natal chart. This quindecile signifies that 'begin slightly different from the rest' might be his life theme. BTW: Uranus disposes of his Venus in Aquarius so Uranus rules the planet of beauty and charm. He is indeed different, but in my eyes: the most convincing James Bond ever!

SILENT FORCE
Sun, Neptune and Pluto are prominent in the chart of Daniel Craig. The combination of Neptune and Pluto is the combination of the ‘silent force’. Not just spies or those who act like one, benefit from having this combination in their charts. It is also important in the charts of ‘magicians’, illusionist, detectives and writers of detectives. Birth chart O.J. Simpson, who stayes behind bars

Fox News and other sources mention that O.J. Simpson is denied a new trial and that he faces several years in prison for 12 charges, including felony kdinapping, armed robbery and conspiracy. He has to stay in prison till the sentence on December 5. One never knows whit O.J. Simpson, who seems to have two lives at the time. 'Manuelgate': Mars, Saturn and the winner Pluto

With Pluto trine progressed Ascendant and Jupiter square his natal Sun success is evident in the chart of Andrew Sachs ('Manuel' in Fawlty Towers). He was the victim of a sick joke in the Russell Brand show (BBC). Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand left a message for Andrew Sachs on the telephone answering machine, singing about sexual acts with his granddaughter. Jonathan Ross has been suspended for 12 weeks without pay now (costs him millions). Russell Brand resigned. Manuelgate, they called this upheavel.

I looked at the charts of Ross and Sachs and my conclusion is: never joke with a person who has Sun square Pluto! And certainly not when he has Mars trine Pluto, too. And in particular not when it is not on stage. You might loose the game when they get mad. Sachs not only has Pluto trine his P ASC, his Pluto is conjunct the Saturn of Brand and the Mars of Ross! Ross's Mars (work!) is conjunct the Saturn of Brand. The composition ot this triangle: Mars-Saturn-Pluto = dead end street. And the winner is...Pluto. Don't mess around with Andrew Sachs. SHOCKING FUN (Venus-Uranus)
OK, maybe the natal Venus of Ross opposition the Ascendant of Sachs means 'having a bit of fun', but the Uranus of Ross opposition the MC of Sachs speaks of 'upheavel' and 'shock'.

COMEDY: Mercury-Uranus-Neptune?
- Ross has Mercury conjunct Neptune (oriental) and both are quintile Uranus. He is a film critic. I don't have his HOB, but Mercury-Neptune seems perfect to me for a film critic.

- Sachs has Mercury calling, Neptune angular and Uranus oriental, (tightly square Saturn in Capricorn). He is an artist with a call for communications.

They seem to have something in common: Mercury-Neptune-Uranus. And they have, of course. They are the main characters in Manuelgate:)!

CONTROVERSIAL
Ross has a tight square Sun-Uranus. He is rather unconventional and rebellious (even controversial).

Shocking drama for Jennifer Hudson with Transit Uranus

Jennifer Hudson is born on September 12. That means that her Sun receives a transit of Saturn, soon, that transit Uranus is opposition her Sun and that transit Pluto is inconjunct her Node. She lost her mother, brother (October 24) and cousin (October 27). Family (Node) death (Pluto) and shock (Uranus): a disaster (Uranus and Pluto).

The pirate was born with Jupiter oriental, the Sun without Ptolemaic aspects within 5d of orb, and Neptune square Ascendant. That is a sort of a guarantee for success when you are in the movies. Why? Because, when an important planet rises before the Sun, this planet is prominent. And the placement square the ASC is a crucial placement in the chart. The Sun making no aspects is a 'calling' Sun and the Sun is a star* (he had a vocation to be a star). Jupiter = success and Neptune = movies. Jupiter is inconjunct Neptune. Venus rules the Midheaven and is conjunct Mercury: a talent for communicating! The tightest aspect is Moon square Jupiter: the need for success, growth and support. Well, the Cosmopolitan ladies support him! Of course they do. He has Jupiter trine Ascendant and that is a fortunate position. It sure helps to present yourself the best possible way. And shall we say that Mars trine MC is for sexy?

KEITH RICHARDS/JOHNNY DEPP
Keith Richards will be part of the cast of the 3rd volume of Pirates of the Caribbean. Johnny Depp (born 9th June 1963 at 8:44 in Owensboro, KY, USA) once said that he was inspired by Keith Richards for the way he acted as Captain Jack Sparrow. Pluto of Johnny Depp is EXACTLY on the MC (= imago) of Keith Richards and Pluto is among other things: the planet of influence.

In the middle of the global financial crisis I read an 'important' message: Hugh Hefner and playmate Holly Madison have separated. The 28-year old was one of the 3 steady partners of the Playboy Icon of 82. Interesting, is not it? An 82-year old surrounded by playmates. Let us have a look at his chart, just to stop thinking about funds, shares and bankruptcy. It is fun, because there is no astrological sign of any grieve or loneliness related to the separation. What astrological signs do I see? In short, his Astro I.D. shows misbalanced use of power and money, and shocking messages about sexuality. And... a successful playboy:) Follow the track in the chart below:

LIBERTARIAN COMMUNICATOR
The rebellious Uranus is prominent in his chart. Uranus is angular, so Uranus is of crucial importance. Uranus is square the Midheaven and related to the very important and personal midpoint ASC/MC. A CALLING PASSION
Mars is the end dispositor of the Midheaven and Mars rules the 8th house of influence, sexuality and gain. Mars is ruled by the important Uranus. And Mars is 'calling', too.
And does it surprise you that Venus is 'calling' as well?

CONCLUSION...
With the prominent Venus,Mars, Mercury and Uranus we have the prophile of a person with a prominent passion (Venus and Mars) for controversial (Uranus) communications (Mercury) or for shocking messages about sexuality (Venus and Mars).

WOMEN, RELATIONSHIPS AND MORE WOMEN: WHY?
A person with Uranus on the descendant is an independent and free person. Hugh Hefner does not really need a partner. With Mercury in the 7th house young partners are his choice. And Sun in Aries in the 7th shows us that in any cooperation or partnership he will be King Number One. There is no need to have pity on the man without a long-lasting love in his life. Now we get at a minor aspect, but the most tightest aspect in his chart: Mars inconjunct Pluto. A misbalanced (inconjunct) use (Mars) or abuse (Mars) of Pluto-matters like money, power, influence, politics, and potency or sexuality. I read that his first wife permitted Hefner to see other women out of a sort of a feeling of guilt, because she had an affair before they got married. And it seems that he did not let that opportunity to take revange, pass bye...
