Beautiful Mind John Nash died

The movie 'A beautiful mind' was inspired by John Nash, the brilliant mathematician who died May 23, 2015 in a car crash with Progressed Sun square his Saturn, to signal a period ending. The movie is  about the period just before he was taken to hospital after being diagnosed with schizophrenia. It took 30 years to be able to live in society again. Here is the chart with transits and progressions for February 1958, when he entered hospital.

What is important in the natal chart are:
- Uranus without aspects within orb 5 degrees
- Sun/Moon semi square Uranus AND opposition Lillith
- Pluto conjunct Ascendant (getting over the Ascendant by progression)
- Jupiter rising before the natal Sun
This is highlighting Uranus and Pluto, and signaling stressed nerves, but also Jupiter and Pluto (successes) and the issue of being different (Lillith and Uranus). The Astro ID gives all the keys.

In February 1958 there were a few important aspects to consider:
1. Saturn was in the 6th house of illnesses, inconjunct the midpoint Ascendant/Midheaven. In the natal chart, this midpoint is conjunct Chiron, showing the crucial importance of healing. Inconjunctions (quincunxes) are frequent in moments of illnesses or when balance is lost (perhaps due to having to give up on something or someone).
2. Transit Uranus is square Ascendant/MC (and Chiron) and transit Pluto is inconjunct MC, so that both of the most highlighted natal planets take part. It was a time of extreme intensity, with a risk for the position in society, too. This is a combination for resistance, too.
3. Progressed Midheaven conjunct Jupiter and transit Jupiter opposition Progressed Midheaven and conjunct Jupiter is a triple indication for getting support, help and advice (often given by a doctor)

The fact Saturn and Uranus are in hard aspect with AC/MC at the same time illustrates the issue of 'breaking free or limited freedom'.

4. Progressed Lillith was conjunct Midheaven.

It is because someone asked me to have a look at Lillith, too, that I included Lillith in the chart and in this case Lillith is very important. Lilith is inconjunct Moon, conjunct MC and opposite Sun/Moon. That makes it hard to be 'normal', especially since Uranus is semi square Sun/Moon, too. A genius is always a bit 'different' and so was John Nash. Uranus and Lillith seem to indicate this.

Saturn transit and the heavy load

My blog is full of examples of transits, progressions and how the mirror real life. Today, I am the example. Remember when I wrote about my mother's tragic fall? Now I had transit Saturn square progressed Midheaven in Aquarius (trine natal Neptune). September was the month of involuntary detachment.  I could expect limitations, a fall, the end of a condition or saying farewell to a family member (and how true that was!), finishing my job...; a range of possibilities! First my site Astromarkt.net was off line. Later doctors advised me to do a stress test (after a sort of a collapse early September). Then, out of the blue came a cuff problem, about a week before my mother died. This shoulder problem temporarily disabled me.

I had noticed a strange pain in the biceps and started to train my shoulder. I also did a lot to get my site Astromarkt.net back on the internet after a hack. And I walked with my mother when I found out that I had to push so hard because of flat tires. All that, but most of all the effects of what I did before caused the sudden malfunction of my right arm. I am unaible to lift my arm. If I was a dog, I'd be crippled. The pain was nasty. It lasted for 3 days. Then my arm started functioning again, bit my bit. I can now raise my hand 110 degree.

It was a horrific idea to be unable to drive. It was and is a problem to get dressed. It hurts when I lay down and it keeps me awake at night. It's sad news for blogging (using one hand), again. Saturn sort of robbed me of my independence (well, of course the planet didn't. Transit Saturn only mirrored the situation!)

Meanwhile, another family member prepares to die and to complete the depressing scene, Pluto will be on my Sun/Moon midpoint and  this will be exact mid November.

Maybe the transits of Jupiter trine my MC and Sun come for the rescue...

So, if you see Saturn coming, take care of yourself. In spite of the positive views (like imagining that Saturn makes you wise), it hurts. Saturn symbolizes that you carry a (too) heavy load on your shoulders.

*) On September 21 my mother passed away. Medication mixes (heart and pain) were fatal in the end. I wrote about that in 'Danger of Pluto, not on guard'. I miss her.

RIP Sue Townsend (on her chart)

Do you remember 'The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole?' Well, I do and when I do, I smile. It was such fun! The author, Sue Townsend, died yesterday. She had diabetes and had lost eyesight lately. Here is the chart with transits and progressions for yesterday and what do we see:

The book on a teenager is being reflected by the 'calling' Mercury (communications!) in the third house, close to the Moon (children, a.o.) rising before the Sun.

For diabetes: Venus opposite Jupiter and Ceres is 'calling'.

For the day of death:
- Progressed MC inconjunct Mars in 8 (definitely lost energy)
- Progressed Sun conjunct Uranus and trine Jupiter (for a relief)
- Transit Jupiter and Uranus in aspect with the natal ascendant (relief again).

The healing that you need with Chiron

If you are a hypochondriac, skip this post. It is about Chiron as ONE OF THE indications for ailments in a chart. I use capitals, because it always takes more than one indication and because genes, gender, age and social circumstances make such a big difference.

I used not to be interested too much in Chiron. That is strange, because I implemented Pholus and Ceres asap. Perhaps, it is just that there is something about this interpretation of Chiron - healer - that raises my eye brows. If there is healing, there must be something wrong or sick. Painful realizations is another interpretation of Chiron, one that seems more in line with what happens. This pain can also happen on a physical level. As I said, I just recently started to wonder about Chiron. This is what I found up to now. I look at Chiron now that my progressed Sun is sextile Chiron.

1. Chiron is the planet of ailments, I said in an earlier post, re my personal transit Chiron-Ascendant experience.
2. In another post, transit Chiron was part of a complexed composition of progressions and transits in the chart of someone who suffered from cardiac issues (she recovered, by the way): http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2013/02/example-of-3x-transit-pluto.html
3. I noticed Sun square Chiron (orb less than 1 degree) in the chart of Dutch Prince Bernhard (born December 25 1969). He has a delicate health and is fighting his illness right now.
4. One of my family members (blood related) has Sun inconjunct Chiron (tightly) and she fights illnesses from TBC to cancer and muscular dystrophia. She is also trying to heal herself or ease the pain by means of alternative treatments, not because it is her choice (well, not always), but also because her ailments and age don't allow more conservative treatments.
5. A sad situation in the family of my husband drew my attention back to Chiron again, last month. His natal chart has Sun and Moon exactly square Chiron. He heard that he is a terminal patient, just before he was about to leave for a holiday. It is not just painful realization. He is pain.
6. A sixth example is that of my own late sister who could have celebrated her 60th birthday today if she hadn't died in January 2003. She had metastasis of invasive breast cancer and died within 4 months after becoming aware of that. It is breast cancer month. It is her birthday today.*)

DISCLAIMER
Of course, I don't have ALL of the charts of those who were born on the same days and I don't have ALL of the charts of people fighting long term ailments. So I don't know if Chiron ALLways accompanies health issues this way and I don't know if it  is a necessity that Chiron is either calling in 6 or in a tight and hard aspect with the Sun. It is in the above charts, without any doubt, however. Why? Why relate this to 'healing'? Healing is impossible for the numbers 4 and 5 and number 6 died.

 I think that Chiron is about ailments, illnesses and the need of someone easing or stopping the pain. Chiron is the doctor. Chirion doesn't 'say' what happens next. Apparently you don't have to die when a serious ailment or disease comes your way. I have Sun conjunct Chiron (orb 4d) and I live.

You know that I use to end posts telling you that it takes more (and better: 3) indications in the same direction (like illnesses) and that genes, gender, situation and condition or age can't be left out when you read charts. This is about just ONE aspect: Sun afflicting or conjunct Chiron or Chiron NA in 6, that I happened to see in these few charts of people who have or had to deal with a fragile health.

CERES-JUPITER: too much food?

There are two types of diabetes. Diabetes 1 starts at an early age. Lots of people have Diabetes 2 (starting later in life). The sugar level (hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia) is a problem with both types.
This post is about the chart mirroring a specific problem: the problem of being high (Jupiter) on sugar (Ceres-Venus). This aspect combination also signals an overdose of delicacies and food. I have a few examples for you.

VENUS-JUPITER, CERES-JUPITER

Usually I expect good things to happen when Venus and/or Jupiter come in. They are the 'benefics' of astrology. It is fun when these planets join your (wedding) party. But are their natal aspects, transits and progressions always as nice and sweet as they appear to be? I am afraid not. Sometimes a lot of (Jupiter) fun, pleasure, sweetness and delicacy (Venus) is just too much for the body's food system (Ceres).  Also, Ceres-Jupiter doesn't mean 'benefits of nutrition', apparently. Ceres-Jupiter means: too much food.

Now why do I think that this problem correlates with Jupiter-Ceres in the chart, supported by Libra, Taurus or Venus? For a couple of reasons... I have two charts with data, a link for more charts to study and a few anonymous cases:

1. I happen to know someone with Ceres in the first of Libra exactly square Jupiter in Cancer (both in hard aspect with Aries Point).  She loves chocolate and cookies and generally eats too much. The result is being high on sugar: diabetes2.

2. Robert E. Ferguson died of complications of diabetes2. He was born August 29, 1939 in Troy (Miami) OH at 17.00 hours with Moon inconjunct Ceres and opposition Venus while Jupiter was trine Ceres.  Here is his chart. Just click for a larger picture.

3. I also found the Venus-Ceres-Jupiter combination in the chart of someone who was diagnosed with Diabetes1 at the age of 20.

His Venus (first degree Cancer) is -out of sign - square Ceres (359.96 = 30 Pisces) and Ceres is biquintile Jupiter (orb 1.8d). Venus is septile Jupiter. This, in combination with Ceres inconjunct Midheaven and square Ascendant, shows how important nutrition and insulin was.
Just as Jupiter is considered to be a 'good' planet, the biquintile is considered to be a nice aspect...

4. Someone was diagnosed during transit Ceres opposition Jupiter (both important in the natal chart) ,  2 two years after Venus conjunct Jupiter in the progressed chart (sextile natal Ceres). That is when 'the good life' started.

5. Richard Harris was diagnosed with diabetes in 1982 (transit Jupiter sextile Ceres). Here is the chart for that year:

6. One of the Astro.com examples had Sun/Moon semi square Ceres (and Ceres sextile Jupiter). Diagnosed in 1953, with transit Jupiter conjunct natal and progressed Ceres. Here is the chart:

DISCLAIMER

!Attention! Astrologers are no doctors. A chart only draws a picture that is relevant for the chart owner. So, not all charts of people with Diabetes have this combination. Others with this combination don't have Diabetes. Why not?

It also takes more than one aspect combination to be diagnosed with a (more or less serious) illness or ailment. Ceres or Venus or Jupiter (or even all three) must be of importance in the natal or progressed chart. And it is like always with statistics: it is the percentage, and never 100%.

As far as I know there has never been research on the charts of a few thousands of people with the data of the moment that they heard about having diabetes. The data may not be available. As a chart also should be read with the genes, gender, culture, social/economic situation in mind, it may be hard to come to conclusions. The crisis in Nelson Mandela's chart

When you watch the chart, transits and progressions of Nelson Mandela, the crisis is eminent. It usually takes more than two important transits and progressions to indicate a main event or situation (the rule of three). Astro.com provides a DD-rated chart (which means that the hour of birth is practically unknown). Even without using the Ascendant and Midheaven or Progressed Moon it is obvious that there is crisis going on in the life of the former President of South Africa. This is the list:

•  Pluto

Pluto is in the 11th degree of Capricorn. That is 165 degrees from the natal Sun of Mandela (26th of Cancer). An aspect of 165 degrees is a quindecile. A quindecile shows an obsessive situation, a strong focus. Pluto indicates challenges, danger and stress. The Sun means life and health. It is the picture of 'health strongly in danger'.

•  Uranus

Uranus is in the 13th degree of Aries (12d5m today) That is 165 degrees from the progressed Sun of Mandela, now in the 28th of Libra. Again you see the difficult quindecile and the Sun (health). Uranus shows unexpected news, tension and change.

Together, Uranus and Pluto are indications of dramatic or intens change.

• Uranus is now opposite his Mars. 

That is not for the first time and it won't be the last. Complications like sudden fever or infections or accidents and incidents may occur during such a transit. 

• Transit Pluto is going to square his Mars 

A new challenge, maybe a dangerous infection. 

• There is help: Jupiter 

For the moment transit Jupiter is trine his progressed Sun. Jupiter helps. Jupiter helps you succeed. But Jupiter is often prominently present in the charts of the ill and dying, because Jupiter refers to doctors and to 'the journey' of life or the help 'on the way'. Medications seem to help him, right now, according to his grandson. 

(It may also help that he has Pluto rising before the Sun and Moon in Scorpio in the natal chart. Those people don't give up easily.)

The crisis is in the chart. We don't know how this will end. He is very old, but he is also surrounded by doctors. Pluto means crisis, but doesn't give an answer to questions about the result of the stress of a period of life and death. Some survive and conquer the crisis, even at old age. Nevertheless: he is 94! He is facing the final years. Perhaps that is the symbol of:

• progressed Sun quintile Saturn (creatively ending - a period in- life)

Transit Neptune conjunct Ascendant: unclarity

Not everyone ever gets transit Neptune on the Ascendant. You need to have your Ascendant on the right side of the zodiac to experience this:). I happen to be a 'lucky one' and I can report about my transit experience.

What happened was, that I went to a shop for an eyesight test. This was just to make sure that the test of the week before was correct. Someone else assisted and she was in a real hurry. She didn't care much about the fact that I slipped out of the chair, that the instrument was not in balance and that I told her that I didn't see a thing. That was so unlike the week before!
After various attempts to make me 'confess' that I could read the figures she stopped. After using a bright light in my eyes, she adviced me to hurry to a doctor, because one eye had lost 50% of the sight because of cataract.

I was really confused when I left (typical Neptune!) and started to do some test myself. I can see, I can see with both eyes and one eye is not much better than the other. However, there are spots en there is unclarity. I always thought that it was because of the screen but now I keep seeing them all the time.

Isn't Neptune the symbol of uncertainty, unclarity and mist?  I'm wandering in it! And there is more to this story:
- With Pluto and Uranus on the brink of hitting my Sun/Moon midpoint, I wouldn't be surprised if I had to see a surgeon.
- When I had that test transit Saturn was semi square my Venus and transit Mars was square my Venus,  killing my pleasure in buying new glasses:).

Hugo Chavez died

He was seriously ill. Now, Hugo Chavez died. He was fighting cancer.

In January I wrote about his difficult astrological positions, reflecting the situation: see that post and watch the quincunxes with Neptune, following a hard transit of Saturn (resonating the natal aspect between Sun and Saturn). All this was accompanied by the change of the progressed sun sign that indeed changed his way of life, unfortunately the bad way.

Now he died. There are a number of transits related to the 8th house of life and death, often mirroring a critical moment, and the 4th house of endings. Transit Uranus, ruler of the 8th house and transit in the progressed 8th house, too, makes 4 hard aspects. Two of them are inconjuncts (symbol of losing balance and loss). There is a third inconjunct coming from Neptune.

Here is the list, there may be even more:

- transit Uranus ruler 8th house square natal Ascendant
- transit Uranus ruler 8th house inconjunct progressed Moon
- transit Neptune inconjunct natal IC
- transit Uranus is in the progressed 8th house
- transit Uranus is inconjunct progressed Saturn
- and a sort of lost quatronovile between transit Uranus and Venus, ruler IC

If the time of birth is exact and correct, transit Neptune has just left his 8th house.

In times of trouble, when you are already ill or very weak and old, those kind of aspects are too much. As you may see in
an earlier post of January 2013
the astrological situation was far from hopeful already.

Now 3 quincunxes and 4 hard aspects of ruler 8 clearly warned for a vital crisis.

Saturn Neptune and involuntary detachment

Saturn-Neptune aspect combinations, says Reinhold Ebertin, carry the principle of suffering, renunciation and asceticism. They refer to poor, sick or depressed persons. The note on page 249 of his book 'The combination of Stellar Influences' says that Saturn-Neptune is the illness axis. There are several posts on this blog with examples (use the label Saturn-Neptune). What illnesses do, is keeping you in bed, inactive and in involuntary detachment.

In 2011 I had transit Saturn conjunct Neptune and was struck with neuritus vestibularis (a sudden extreme vertigo that keeps you flat on your back for days if not longer).  There are still remains of that 'attack' and I experienced this again and again whenever there was an overload of tasks or movements. The transit is being repeated by transit Neptune inconjunct Saturn. I also had a dental problem that was cured (I hope) mid January, with transit Neptune inconjunct Saturn and conjunct Jupiter (for the 3rd and last time). I think that the dental problem and the vertigo are related, but even though there is no scientific source of what causes neuritis vestibularis, the doctors say that there can be no link between an infection in the jaw and vertigo. What remains is the astrological link: Saturn-Neptune, Neptune-Saturn.

Saturn-Neptune is often a statement for involuntary detachment. I also found this aspect in the natal chart of a Dutch professor in criminology (born December 5, 1933) who was haunted by the press and activists after he started a study about the biology of criminals. In those days (early 80's) this was considered to be political incorrect. He got ill and depressed. Ultimately he left the world of science and went to Spain (he also had the international Jupiter rising before the sun).

Involuntary detachment: that is how Robert Hand 'translated' this aspect. Those two words seem to be the right words for Saturn-Neptune.

Mars conjunct Saturn: unstoppable

There is a neurosurgeon in my country who is not allowed to work anymore, but he found a job in Germany. He made big mistake, used fake photos, performed brain surgery on healthy people and told them that they had Alzheimer. One person committed suicide after visiting him. The neurosurgeon started to fail and make up stories after an accident and later use of drugs. He could go on like this for over 20 years! He was famous after a television performance about the mental illness of late Prince Claus, in 1992. Television seems to have that effect (see Jimmy Saville).

Just like all others born on October 24, 1945 (among them are a union leader and an artist) he has:
a. 'calling' Sun (he was 'a star' or a leader in the eyes of many)
b. Jupiter rising before the Sun (promising person, international)
c. Venus-Neptune for the romantic person with fine taste.
d. Mars tightly conjunct Saturn

Mars conjunct Saturn works like a pinch bar or a sledge hammer. Mars is fuel for the ambition of Saturn and together they go on and on and on, no matter what. There are famous persons with Mars conjunct Saturn. Paris Jackson, Ellen Degeneres and Al Gore are among them. So is Dutch Queen Beatrix, almost 75 and still doing her duty.

The neurosurgeon was forced to stop in my country. He went to Germany. He is 68 and hundreds of patients complained about him. But apparently it is important not to stop working. Mars conjunct Saturn  is obligated to work on the career, whatever happens. And whoever gets hurt? The combination of the two pictures in this story is the combination of fine work performed with a brutal instrument, just like the delicate work of a neurosurgeon was done.

Soon the progressed Sun of the surgeon will be quindecile his Saturn. Let's hope that he finally retires.

Hugo Chavez' astrological situation

The chart of the President of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, shows the health problems that he is dealing with for a substantial period of time now. The change of the sign of the progressed sun was parallel with the change in life style. Now, negative tendencies are reflected by transit Neptune and inconjunctions, transits of ruler 8 and Chiron. Here is a list:

1. Transit Neptune inconjunct Progressed Sun
2. Transit Neptune inconjunct Progressed Ascendant/Midheaven
3. Transit Uranus (ruling the 8th house of life crisis) is elevated now and trine natal Sun. Uranus is a prominent planet in his natal chart. Uranus rises before his sun and is on the midpoint Sun/Moon. Hugo Chavez is a man who was born to change his world.
4. Transit Chiron is trine the natal Ascendant (for cures?)
5. Progressed Midheaven is on the way to a hard aspect with natal Saturn, a third quincunx.

What does it mean?
- Transit of Neptune are confusing and often mirror a period of gossip. Newspapers are speculating about the near death of the man who has lung problems since his last cancer surgery. It is still a mystery where the cancer was located.Neptune is also the symbol of medication.
- Inconjunctions (quincunxes) aren't good for health. They mean lack of balance and a risk of loss. More inconjunctions, more risk of health issues. The transits are a burden for persons who are already ill, old or in trouble.

EARLIER SITUATION
Hugo Chavez had transit Pluto opposition Ascendant last year when his sun sign changed. He also dealt with transit Saturn square Sun. This transit is resonating the natal Sun-Saturn conflict and therefore of strong influence. Barriers, limitations, restrictions and matters of age and time were blocking the vitality last year. The life of Chavez seems to have been a constant struggle with barriers and mountains to climb. The aspect of Moon conjunct Jupiter contributed to his popularity. (Many of the American Presidents benefitted of a Moon-Jupiter aspect in the race for the Presidency. It is the kind of aspect that brings support.)

Even though there is less support than in earlier years, Hugo Chavez still has followers. And they are anxious about his health. We will have to wait and see what medication and doctors can do.

Mars and Pluto opposition my Uranus: Ahhrrrggg!

When you see this picture of a 17th century dental treatment, you know what my Mars-Uranus-Pluto experience is about.

DENTIST
The day before yesterday I saw the dentist. I see him for a check-up at least once a year. Now it was with Transit Mars conjunct transit Pluto in the 9th degree of Capricorn. Mars and Pluto were exactly opposition my natal Uranus…Guess what happened... I'll tell you all about it.

It was a periodical check up. I told him that I had the idea that last year's treatment had failed  and that something was wrong in my right jaw. He took a picture and immediately arranged an appointment with an endodontologist (a specialized dentist). Ahhrrggg!!!@#$%&

Mars-Uranus-Pluto is a combination for surgical intervention or accidents or injuries or explosions. And apparently, Mars-Pluto transits with Uranus signal a good day to see the dentist about a complicated problem. Or for a forced upon surgery...

MARS
The dentist, I noticed, is related to Mars. He uses instruments and he hurts, that is why.

With Mars on my Midheaven or progressed Midheaven I had treatments, painful treatments… So I decided not to see him until Mars had moved to Capricorn, but I couldn't pick the day. That is how I came to visit the good man on a day with Mars AND Pluto opposition Uranus.

It was a good thing, of course. It was high time that I went, but when it comes to tooth ache and the dentist I look a bit like this bird. So I waited until the problem would be solved by nature...even though I knew that something was wrong. It didn't hurt, it didn't show, so I thought that maybe it was something not so important. Or I hoped that it was (transit Neptune is also on my Jupiter this year).

I am expecting the invitation of the endodontologist, soon. I wonder what day they choose to explore the axis of that dental nerve. The dentist says that it doesn't hurt (don't they always say that?).  I wonder what transit will accompany thAt visit... I'll tell you if I am still around:).

Nerves, you know, belong to Uranus in the astrological vocabulary. Mars is dentist and hurt. And Pluto is for complications. Now we have the picture (by the artist Pulling Teeth):

Update about transit Jupiter (when you are ill)

Last time I blogged about transit Jupiter trines. Transit Jupiter was trine Progressed Sun, but inconjunct Progressed Midheaven in the chart of a woman when she underwent surgery for the second time (since something went wrong the first time). She broke her hip when she fell on August 31.

 I wondered about the effect of this Jupiter trine (and hoped for the best). We all expect fortune with Jupiter trines, but sometimes people just die during such a transit. Maybe sometimes that is when the surgery was a success, but not for the patient.

Luckily, this Jupiter and this trine helped her. There is no pain anymore! And the medical team expects her to recover and start walking again, but ... (With an inconjunct/quincunx there is always a but... ) It will take longer to be able to walk again. The new pin and screw are in a lower place where it takes longer to heel.

Saturn hits Mars: struck by reality

When my Progressed Saturn was conjunct natal Saturn I wrote about 'memento mori': time to think about old age and saying goodbye. Not for me, not yet, but for my mother. She started aging, harder and harder. (Saturn is associated with parents and old age, all things solid and stiff.)

Then, a few weeks later, she fell hard; transit Saturn was in aspect with her MC. She broke her hip (two places). Some people really fall and not just of there pedestal when Saturn is in hard aspect with MC.

TRANSIT SATURN
Last weekend (transit Saturn square Mars) I was confronted with the consequences of that fall and struck (Mars) by reality (Saturn). I sat by her side in hospital where they did a check up because of her continuing complaints about pain. I realised that she is losing contact with the world and that I will have to do a considerable lot of organising, washing, visiting, administration and worrying. And I know that all of my efforts to turn back time, will be useless.

Hard labor! Mars-Saturn. Bend or break! Are Mars-Saturn transits supposed to make you tough? I wonder. I feel drained. I am glad that this transit is over now. But the situation remains. Something is wrong and it looks like it will never be OK again.

Yes, life is hard, but I know that life could be even harder, so I dare not complaint. Even though I seemed to ask for accidents, reading the phone on the stairs, I haven't broken arms or legs and my heart is still beating and noone I love or like has died. It is more that I have to learn how to deal with this, now.

Tomorrow is a transit Sun square Venus for me. Perfect day for a bit of fun! or candy, of course:)! So if you have a nice happy end story of transit Saturn with Mars, please tell me about it.

Ailments: Transit Chiron conjunct Ascendant

During several months transit Chiron has been conjunct my Ascendant and in fact: that is where Chiron still is. It won't take long, he will be gone in a few weeks. I am grateful that Chiron won't be back! Because, in the past months there have been many ailments that I like to contribute to Chiron. I hope that if he moves on, so will the ailments!:)

From last summer till now I have constantly been unable to do what I wanted because of a continuing flood of illness and accidents. I won't mention them all here, but it is a range of ailments from feet to ear and all that is in between, from spring 2011 till now. Of course, as I always say, there is more needed to reflect illnesses and there is (like Saturn square my Mars and Saturn inconjunct progressed Mars, for example; limiting energy). Transits of those kind of symbols should move faster, as far as I'm concerned:). Ailments are not as bad as life threatening diseases, but one can do without...

Many astrologers speak of important lessons to learn during bad transits.  I would have wanted a speedy training instead of this. I also believe that there are lessons to learn by means of blessings! So, what is the lesson (if there is any)? If it was a lesson, the teacher forget to give a clue. I have been ill before (and worse), so I don't need Chiron to tell me about vulnerabilities:). If, when Chiron leaving my ascendant, it is examination time, I know that I will fail.

The question is: am I right about ailments and Chiron or is it just me?

This transit Chiron conjunct Ascendant doesn't happen often. Not everybody will experience this transit, it is a privilege! It took Chiron almost a life time to travel trough the zodiac signs.

The transit Saturn opposition Moon experience

Ever experienced transit Saturn in hard aspect with progressed Moon? It is depressing! It is marking a nasty period to remember. For me it is about being ill too long and watching sad stories.

Remember that on October 6 I had an acute vertigo with Pr A/M opposition Neptune and shortly after an exact transit Saturn conjunct Neptune in Libra? It was very accurate 'Astrologic' for being ill in the field of balance (Libra). They told me that I would be cured in maximum 6 weeks. Most sites tell that and some people think that I should have been better because the books and sites say so. But it has been 8 weeks now and I am not much less dizzy and tired than it was 4 weeks ago! (Though I can write this post now and I couldn't do this in the first week, of course.) I had 3 days to remember how life was before the attack, and I had 47 days more or less seasick and tired. It's not as they said, but thanks to the internet I know that I am not the only exception at all! See the links for info and help in the UK ...It is a very interesting site about Labyrinthitis, written by two young women who have been suffering for months (or years)! I hope that I stop being 'dizzy' much sooner! But I couldn't help worrying, could I, with transit Saturn?

One day I will be OK, I know! That doesn't mean that I haven''t felt Saturn on my Moon! The aspect was exact last Sunday. That is when I watched a sad play (Ivan and the dogs, see YouTube) about the real life story of a homeless boy in Russia, who was sort of saved by dogs and in the end (unlike in the real life story) the dogs died! OMG! This didn't exactly help to make me feel happy! I love dogs (I have Sun sextile Neptune -read about Sun trine Neptune and dog lovers - and see the doggyscope on Astromarkt). It seems that I keep seeing sad stories everywhere! We are all in the middle of an economic and political depression, of course, and life is harder for others, I know, but I am glad that Saturn moves on. However, the old man is on his way to a square with Mars, just before Christmas. I will tell you what happened...

Today, I have one of those days that I would almost believe that the 'virus' (or whatever) has left my inner ear forever (but even though the Moon is in Sagittarius, I hesitate to start cheering).  I feel light and when I shake my head there is only a faint resonation of the movement. Can I see progress in the chart? Yes I can: Transit Jupiter sextile Jupiter. This should mean balance and equilibrium (that is what Hand says about this transit. For some reason there is a lot of balance in the text)! The transit will be exact very soon, on November 30. It will be exact again on January 20 2012 (with a number of transits indicating change and P Moon trine Venus). Maybe there is some progress in between! I consider the Pluto transit to be one of the indications of change and ... come backs! On December 20 transit Pluto is semi square my Progressed Sun. So, maybe just a few more weeks to go.

Saturn-Neptune and less posts

The last time that I was blogging here was on October 6. There is a reason for not blogging for so long. I posted my blog, closed the laptop and only a few minutes later I experienced the effect of transit Saturn conjunct Neptune in Libra and opposition progressed AC/MC. This transit had been exact a few hours before and it was just a few weeks after transit Saturn inconjunct progressed Mars). Can you imagine what happened? I will tell you about it.

What happened was this: the world suddenly seemed to have turned into a carousel, a speedy one, with me inside. I was very lucky to be at home and not in my car*), because I was very very sick within seconds. A sort of an intense sea sickness followed in the next hours. It is (I hope) a virus. There is no cure, it simply has to go away, slowly.

Since then, October 6, I haven't been able to use the computer for more than just a few minutes. The 'punishment' is getting dizzy and sick. So, I will have what I should have when Saturn hits Neptune:...involuntary detachment until I am completely OK again. CU!

PS I have been a great example for astrology now. All books warn us to see the doctor with such transits. I saw them! When you have such aspects: take care!

Michael Douglas and Pluto

Pluto is the symbol of problems, challenges, force, power, strength, strategy and intensity. With Pluto, you get to your core business and you often learn what is really important for you. When Pluto hits your Sun, you are living more intensely than ever, for whatever reason. Michael Douglas just finished his chemo and transit Pluto is square his Sun and about to join the natal Moon in Capricorn. Pluto-Sun  transits often accompany a come-back (with all of the difficulties that it takes to get back). A comeback requires an extra strong enforcement and so does a recovery or a cure like hell...Pluto is the symbol of destruction and reorganization and that is why the transit of Pluto seems to match with the effects of a cure against cancer. 

There is more in Michael Douglas' chart. The progressed Ascendant is opposition Saturn (in the 8th house in the natal chart) and that is resonating the hard situation.  Pluto is the ruler of the 8th house of Scorpio. Saturn is in the natal 8th house. Now there are 2 indications for life threatening situations. The progressed Moon in the 8th house is the 3rd reflection of the life and death conditions.

HOW ABOUT YOU?

It takes 3 to tango. When there are 3 important indications pointing in the same direction, it is likely that a major event is taking place. In the case of Michael Douglas it is a heavy and nasty treatment against a life threatening tumor, indicated by the 8th house of life and death. The transits and progressions are not with Jupiter, Venus and the 5th house of pleasure...This example is illustrating that you need to study the repeating and prominent signs, as well as the significant events to see how astrology matches real life.

Bono (U2), surgery and Mars-Uranus

U2 lead singer Bono had immergency back surgery in München, Germany, after an injury while preparing for his tour. Transit Uranus is exactly conjunct his Mars. Mars-Uranus is one of the aspects that reflect operations. Mars-Uranus is the kind of combination that 'hits you' or 'cuts you' suddenly.

Major events like this don't happen with one transit only. Notice that Jupiter and Uranus trine Midheaven (for a positive and welcome change) and that Neptune is square Midheaven (for an unwanted period of rest and perhaps for the 'sleep' involved. Chart of Martina Navratilova

Martina Navratilova has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is going to have a 6 week radiation therapy starting in May. She said that she was angry about losing control and that the doctors are positive about the chances to beat the cancer.

She has a typical combination in her chart reflecting the present situation: the (progressed and natal) angles of the chart are being hit by a number of transits of Saturn, Neptune and Pluto…and by Pholus.

- Pluto is in the sixth house. Transit Pluto is conjunct Midheaven (because of an illness: a challenging, stressy or dangerous condition or position, survival and forced come back or …a therapy).
- Neptune is now conjunct progressed Midheaven (isolation, negative condition)
- Saturn is square progressed Ascendant (depressing situation)
- Progressed midpoint AC/MC is in hard aspect with Neptune (dissapointment)
- Also transit Pholus in the 16th degree of Sagittarius is quindecile the progressed Ascendant of Navratilova and mirroring the fysical turning point. Pholus is retrograding and will than square Venus (again).
- Transit Chiron is opposition natal Pluto (therapeutic healing)
- Transit Jupiter is almost square the progressed Sun (and that is positive). Also progressed Sun will be square Jupiter in 2 years time, to make life better.

Martine Navratilova is a tennis legend. Mercury or Gemini use to be important in the charts of those who use their arms and hands as much and profressional as tennis players do. Navratilova has Mercury on an angle in Libra, in mutual reception with Venus. Mercury is square Midheaven. The Moon in Aries is opposition Mercury and on the Ascendant, conjunct Ceres (symbol of the genes). This shows the importance of the female roots for her fysical condition. Her mother and grandmother also played tennis! This Moon conjunct Ceres on the Ascendant is also mirroring the importance of the habits of nutrition: she is a vegatarian.

Martina is also famous for her coming out as a lesbian in 1980, when progressed Sun and progressed Pallas conjoined, transit Saturn and Neptune ‘hit ‘ natal Jupiter and Jupiter was square Saturn. The earlier post today was about the disadvantage with the advantage joined in Jupiter-Saturn combinations and perhaps that is what she experienced at the time (when she lost a few sponsors).

CHANGING REALITIES
She also changed nationality. She originated from (then communist) Chechoslovakia, went to the States in 1975 (with Saturn square Ascendant and Jupiter inconjunct Quaoar, semi sextile Ascendant: pro’s and contra’s of a new reality) and became a USA citizen in 1981, but in 2008 she gave that up again for her former nationality.

Could that be the reflection of Uranus inconjunct Midheaven or Quaoar on the Descendant or both (Uranus sesquisemisquare Quaoar and 105 d from Ascendant). This combination of Ascendant-Uranus-Quaoar feels like a sudden and repeatedly - on and off - changing creation of new concepts of being and presenting herself.
