It's not that I am fond of the quincunx, but (sic) the inconjunct pops up every time that I see a chart of someone who accomplished or achieved somethig, BUT with a loss or a complication involved. I wrote about the negative positive Jupiter, before, in cases of positive doping tests, when the success (Jupiter) was followed by deception, disgrace and sometimes even prosecution. So, when I see transit Jupiter inconjunct Sun, I see a risk: Jupiter slipping.
Amy Robach, born February 6, 1973, had transit Jupiter in Cancer inconjunct her natal Sun in Aquarius last October 1, when she had a mammography on television in order to stimulate women to do the test. This was her rescue: she was found positive on breast cancer.
Jupiter is the symbol of doctors, remedies and advice. See: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2012/09/jupiter-when-you-are-ill.html
Jupiter-Sun highlight success.
Jupiter saves and judges.
Inconjuncts symbolize the need to give up on something (even if it is for a short while).
It is all there in her chart. Jupiter is the first outer planet rising before her Sun and that makes Jupiter special. It is for the international and the optimist and most of the time a great help.
The position of Sun and planets is all we know when there is no hour of birth. There are usually more than 2 important transits and progressions at important moments in life. Without birth time it remsins unknown if that is so in this specific case.

The transit Mars experience
ransit Mars square my MC and Sun and I really have reason enough to be irritated. For the second time an appointment failed and for the second time I waited for hours. Meanwhile I read my business mail on a day off and I shouldn't have done that, because something I read there started a fire. It feels like a fever. What is wrong? Nothing, just Mars passing by.
I could have known that before, because I wrote about it before (see link). But I thought that because of the transit passing by in the night, I would be spared, even though my inner ear hurts and I had to take an aspirin because of a starting headache yesterday. I also bought new shoes and they hurt!
OK It is not just that. There is also an exact square of transit Uranus with natal Uranus (nervous changes are all around). That is contributing to the feeling of hurry, rush, impatience and …irritation. How to beat Mars? Maybe I should run or fight or use the overdose of energy to clean the house? If I would, I would cut, bruise or hurt myself, I guess. Perhaps I should have done what I did last time: see the dentist and take an aspirin beforehand. However, I prefer to take this Mars:
That might be a great help, because with Mars square your Sun and MC you risk to start irritating others!:)

How I verified my ascendant degree
This is how I verified my Ascendant degree, with tools for verifying yours.
A few days ago, when I was pondering on my Ascendant degree, I thought of the fact that when I had my son, transit Mars
was in the 4th of Virgo, to be exact: 3d44m40s when he ‘saw the
light’. Somebody cut me, just before that happened. Next, I thought about progressed Mars, now
in Pisces, and the date of progressed Mars conjunct my Ascendant Pisces. On
September 30 1996 I had surgery and … progressed Mars was in 3d43m42s Pisces. Cut, cut...Also, Transit Saturn was at 3d42m Virgo retrograding (in line with the nature of the surgery)! The time of my birth certificate gives
an Ascendant of 3d43m29 Pisces. What a great and accurate nurse it was!
It was pretty nice, to find this on a day that Venus was
opposition my Sun and Midheaven! And yes, I was glad! Now I 'just' had to find more hits with the Ascendant degree and I found Uranus when I started co-managing an astrologer's forum. Now I wonder what Neptune will be mirroring in 2013/2014. I expect amazing or miraculous situations (see the post about transit Neptune).
Maybe YOU can find your Ascendant degree using the same method. It will be harder for men to use Mars in their children's charts, but here are some clues. No need for me to mention them all here, as they are all over the internet, even on this blog. Here are some links:
Astropost about Transit Jupiter and your Ascendant (gaining weight, pregnant) or see Cafe Astrology.
Astropost about Transit Saturn on your Ascendant and being blamed or going trough a hard situation or see Cafe Astrology about frustration and feeling let down...
Cafe Astrology about Transit Uranus conjunct Ascendant. That is when I had my coming out as an astrologer on the internet:). See my take on it here...
What may happen when transit Pluto is on your Ascendant. A personal experience on http://tribes.tribe.net/astrotransits/thread/782c5ca0-bb46-4f80-99bb-44bb62277f10
But, in short, you can expect the coming out of problems with Pluto, you might join groups with Uranus and become transcendent with Neptune. You can't be overlooked when Jupiter makes you grow and you get real with Saturn. Pluto is the symbol of life and death and is very intense by nature. Uranus is for excitement or intervention (including going to see the dentist). With Mars you might get cut or hurt (f.ex. dentist, again:). Venus brings pleasure and Mercury someone to talk with. Just check it.
And uhm...Brutus table with keywords for angularity is very useful to try to find a certain state of mind. There is also a text about ruler 1 conjunct Ascendant (for the natal chart). As Neptune is supposed to rule my Pisces Ascendant, will I turn into a very tactless sort of a medium (attuned and straight forward) during the transit of Neptune? If I do, it will always be in the Pisces way, for example: on a blog, almost anonymously:).
PS If you are still not convinced about the degree that you found, try the symbolic degrees of Janduz (published by Astrotheme.fr) to see if the description looks like you and your ways of doing it...I selected the picture on top of this post, a bit according to the description of my degree and a bit because I liked this 17th (16-17) century picture of Jan de Braij. If you use the symbolic degrees on Astrotheme, please be sure to name 0-1 degree degree number zero and 1-2 degree degree number 1 etc.

The transit Saturn opposition Moon experience
Ever experienced transit Saturn in hard aspect with progressed Moon? It is depressing! It is marking a nasty period to remember. For me it is about being ill too long and watching sad stories.
Remember that on October 6 I had an acute vertigo with Pr A/M opposition Neptune and shortly after an exact transit Saturn conjunct Neptune in Libra? It was very accurate 'Astrologic' for being ill in the field of balance (Libra). They told me that I would be cured in maximum 6 weeks. Most sites tell that and some people think that I should have been better because the books and sites say so. But it has been 8 weeks now and I am not much less dizzy and tired than it was 4 weeks ago! (Though I can write this post now and I couldn't do this in the first week, of course.) I had 3 days to remember how life was before the attack, and I had 47 days more or less seasick and tired. It's not as they said, but thanks to the internet I know that I am not the only exception at all! See the links for info and help in the UK ...It is a very interesting site about Labyrinthitis, written by two young women who have been suffering for months (or years)! I hope that I stop being 'dizzy' much sooner! But I couldn't help worrying, could I, with transit Saturn?
One day I will be OK, I know! That doesn't mean that I haven''t felt Saturn on my Moon! The aspect was exact last Sunday. That is when I watched a sad play (Ivan and the dogs, see YouTube) about the real life story of a homeless boy in Russia, who was sort of saved by dogs and in the end (unlike in the real life story) the dogs died! OMG! This didn't exactly help to make me feel happy! I love dogs (I have Sun sextile Neptune -read about Sun trine Neptune and dog lovers - and see the doggyscope on Astromarkt). It seems that I keep seeing sad stories everywhere! We are all in the middle of an economic and political depression, of course, and life is harder for others, I know, but I am glad that Saturn moves on. However, the old man is on his way to a square with Mars, just before Christmas. I will tell you what happened...
Today, I have one of those days that I would almost believe that the 'virus' (or whatever) has left my inner ear forever (but even though the Moon is in Sagittarius, I hesitate to start cheering). I feel light and when I shake my head there is only a faint resonation of the movement. Can I see progress in the chart? Yes I can: Transit Jupiter sextile Jupiter. This should mean balance and equilibrium (that is what Hand says about this transit. For some reason there is a lot of balance in the text)! The transit will be exact very soon, on November 30. It will be exact again on January 20 2012 (with a number of transits indicating change and P Moon trine Venus). Maybe there is some progress in between! I consider the Pluto transit to be one of the indications of change and ... come backs! On December 20 transit Pluto is semi square my Progressed Sun. So, maybe just a few more weeks to go.
What happened to you with transit Saturn with Moon or Mars? And/or how for those who had vertigo once: what transits and progressions accompanied that in your life?

2. When you have transit Saturn opposition Moon or progressed Moon it is even harder when you try to keep up appearances and look 'normal', even though the mirror shows the contrary. (Have you read the Moon-Saturn post yet?)

Progressed Moon through the first house: growing need to present yourself, emotional coming out
This progressed Moon changes your attitude and often also the way you look. People will tell you how you have changed and find you more attractive. Your emotional coming out might cost you a lot of handkerchiefs...

Double or nothing?
When there is a transit or progression or a synastry between the same planets, lights or angles as in the natal chart, do they have more significance than those aspect combinations that are not like in the natal chart? I mean, for example, when transit Jupiter is trine your Sun, does it have more effect when you have Sun square Jupiter in the natal than when there is no natal Sun-Jupiter? I am sharing my thoughts and give some examples,
There are a number of posts on this blog about the strenght of repeated patterns or aspects (in the natal and in transit or progression). I have mentioned some under 'Links'. As a matter of facts, I have experienced such repeated patterns myself and I can tell you that transits or progressions connecting the same planets/objects as in the natal chart, look stronger than other transits or progressions. Why?
When you have, for example, Sun trine Jupiter in the natal chart, transits of Jupiter will sound harder than in the lives of those who don't have a sun-jupiter natal aspect. And vice versa. It is (astro)logical. Maybe there is a psychological explanation, for example that when you are a positive person with confidence you will likely benefit more when an opportunity is at hand, than when you are less wired for luck. But I can't always find them. Sometimes it is just more like a response to a certain sensitivity, just like seeing an overload of babies when you are pregnant or when you notice your new car on every road. An explanation is not required, of course, when you simply point at some maybe coincidental correspondes. So I continue...
Sun-Jupiter and Sun-Neptune
The 'vice versa' example (no effect) is: the President of the USA, Barack Obama. The polls are strongly against him and it seems to be hard for him to be successful, in spite of the fact that Progressed (or Solar Arc) Sun has been trine Jupiter 6 weeks ago. The transit of Neptune inconjunct Progressed Sun of the past and coming months resonate the Sun-Neptune aspect in the natal chart and the effect is visible: he is the ' fallen angel', the idol who is no longer a hit. How can that happen with a SA Sun trine Jupiter? I think that it is, because the Sun-Neptune effect is stronger (double effect, natal and transit) than the Sun-Jupiter effect (only that one Progressed trine...). Here is the chart:
But of course, there are more examples.
1. My personal example is also Sun-Neptune, tightly sextile in my natal. In my idea, sextiles are the symbols of the easy ways out. I had them! I had P Sun square Neptune and Transit Neptune conjunct Sun when I started wasting time on astrology;). I also experienced Progressed Sun trine Neptune. The conjunction and square were nasty and depressing. I lived in a place where I didn't want to be at all. The trine, however, was in the middle of a rather pleasant period. This aspect was when I started rather Neptune-like blogs (Art&Astrology and Astrology-love-romance) and Neptunic activities like doing a cruise. Maybe Neptune is the less 'active' symbol of them all and maybe Neptune (softly!) opens your eyes for the softer side of life (including imagination, religion, art, romance, dreaming away etcetera). After such a soft example, a harder one is needed....
2 Sun-Pluto
I have Sun tightly trine Pluto in the 6th house. With transit Pluto conjunct my Sun I was confronted with a life threatening illness and a nasty remedy, but at least I survived. I asked about the experiences of someone born on my birthday (but in another year) who also had transit Pluto conjunct Sun (but no aspect in the natal). Nothing happened.
3. A Sun-Saturn example
I have the d.o.b. of an authority with natal Sun inconjunct Saturn and today transit Saturn square Progressed Sun. She had to resign after accusations of abuse of power and lack of integrity. People reacted furiously. The windows have been smashed, her family threatened and for a few years she will not be employed, I guess. She blamed the buro of investigation and they want her to appear before the judge because of that.
That is the hard confrontation, that is Saturn. It looks like the square activating the inconjunction.

The charts in the case of the missing Natalee Holloway have a lot of double Mars-Pluto's. There was a lot of interaction with Mars and Pluto in their charts and there were transits between Mars and Pluto on that tragic day.
1. On the day that Natalee Holloway vanished Joran van der Sloot had transit Mars sesquisquare Pluto!
2. Natalee Holloway’s Pluto Mars is afflicting Pluto and square Joran’s Pluto.
3. When she disappeared Natalee had transit Mars semi square Mars and sesquisquare Pluto, activating the dangerous Mars-Pluto connection in her natal chart. - Joran had Pluto conjunct Uranus that day and sesquisquare Venus. He also had T Mars sesquisquare Pluto

Three times transit Jupiter in Taurus
It is a fact: benefics move quicker than malefics do and transits of Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto last much longer than transits of Venus or Jupiter. Most of the time...Because the next couple of months there is an exception. Transit Jupiter moves through the first 10 degrees of Taurus, slowly, goes back and moves forward again. That means that if you have the Sun, Moon, a planet, Ascendant or MC or a progressed position in the first 10 degrees of Taurus, you will have Transit Jupiter conjunct your position three (3) times! Jupiter promises that you will travel, succeed, be content and happy and that you will get support. Isn't that great? Mind that word...*) follow the star...
Jupiter keeps moving between 1d18 (June 10, December 2 and January 18) and 10d20 Taurus (August 27, September 2 and March 17). In December 2011 Jupiter will go direct and only on March 2012 Jupiter will pass the 11th degree of Taurus. That is a blessing (even in hard times) for who is born:
- between April 21 and April 28,
- between August 23 and September 2 or
- between December 22 and December 31.
Maybe even Scorpio (born October 23 to November 2) will benefit from the transit (but only if Scorpio plays by the rules!). It sounds as if Santa Claus comes bye in summer time, but beware: it all depends on the other transits and progressions. Also, there is a nasty side of Jupiter: *) growth (and I don't mean getting taller). Sometimes even if you eat almost only grass, you grow:).

Transit Uranus, changing times and Paris Hilton
One of the signs of changing times (see: ) is a transit of Uranus on your Sun or progressed Sun. Paris Hilton had Transit Uranus conjunct her Sun in 2003. That was when a sex tape of her was distributed on the internet. The result: she and her family needed therapy to get over it (but are they?).
The tape is still circulating and like many things on the internet it will never ever stop. It is one of the nasty and criminal sides of the internet. It happens all the time and there is no punishment for turning someone's life upside down. It happened to a Dutch television celebrity and mother of young children, whose nude pictures were stolen by a neighbor and published all over the internet without her permission. The man had to 'work' for 180 hours and that was all. Transit Uranus was afflicting her progressed Mercury and Neptune was sesquisquare her Sun when this happened with later transit Pluto: difficult times...Transit Uranus was also conjunct Paris Hilton's Mercury at the time*).
Quoting myself about transit Uranus and Sun:
3. Transit Uranus is in aspect with your (progressed) Sun
Uranus is the planet of hectic sudden changes. The transit of Uranus shakes your world and the way that you see it or as you came to see it. For a period you might be ‘in the news’ and discussed. The effect is stronger and longer when you have a major or minor aspect between Sun and Uranus in the natal chart.
And Paris Hilton is an Aquarius with Sun square Uranus...Continue for her chart and more...

Oprah Winfrey's final show
Transit Pluto was on the progressed Moon of Oprah Winfrey, on the day before yesterday, when the final show was made (on television next week). Pluto with Moon intensifies emotions, so I guess that the large amount of hand kerchiefs was needed:). Another sign now is the progressed Sun inconjunct Pallas (symbol of patterns) now that she stops the 25-year range of popular shows on television. Within a few weeks transit Pluto will be on the Sun/Moon midpoint to transform her lifestyle. Of course she decided this a year ago and in the past months there have been many important transits and progressions. For some more about the indications for change in the chart of Oprah (and for the signs of changing times) on this blog, see:

When one chart is up and the other one is down...
How can you laugh when you know I'm down?!
That must have been written by someone who is familiar with the situation of one person having T Saturn in aspect with natal or progressed Sun,MC or Asc or Moon...next to someone with transit Venus trine Sun or another nice transit that makes you count your blessings. When a family member has reason enough to feel down, how can you be happy and full of joy? You will be influenced by the other (and more if you care much about this person and/or if you are sensitive and compassionate).
So, how CAN you laugh with Venus, then? Silently? Smiling? Or should Venus just give access to the candy shop, smooth and swiftly?:) How to read these two charts and the effect on each other? I will give it a try.

BTW I don't mean the situation of having fun because of someone else's misfortune. This is about LOVED ones and meant for those who care about others.
MINOR ASPECTS INVOLVED?When two people are close and their charts have tight synastry aspects, the Saturn transit might hit the chart of the other person, too. Perhaps in a minor aspect (not directly visible, but underneath, for example a transit of Saturn with Sun/Moon). And the Venus trine might help the other, not directly but by comforting the other. Comfort (in both senses) belongs to Venus, too. Helping your loved ones makes you feel good. And for the Saturn-transit-person: trying not to be too down when you are in the company of someone who just had good news might (just for a minute) lift you up a bit, too. Or when someone is scared and fears the critics (the Saturn person) the Venus person might cheer him/her up and give some compliments. The situation reminds me of the final jury in a contest, when two persons just heard that one has lost and the other is the chosen one. The loser pretends to be happy for the winner and the winner tries to comfort the loser and be happy at the same time. Difficult! That is why I don't sing!:)
SO...When people are close you should also consider the chart or charts of the loved ones. They color the meaning of transits and progressions, just like the emotions of your loved ones color yours.
A chart has to be seen in the light of situations (private and national), conditions, cultures, age, gender and with the charts of the most important persons in somebody's life, too. Mothers and children are close. It is Mothers Day today. How many mothers would laugh, when their child is down, I wonder? For those who can't help laughing when they see someone falling down (even if they love them) try this link. Wiki helps you not to laugh at inappropriate times:

Transit Orcus: contracts and oaths?
![]() |
| Orcus motion |
When transit Orcus (now in in the 2nd degree of Virgo) is conjunct, square or opposition in your Midheaven, you might have to deal with broken promises in your career or be publicly punished as a result of breaking your word. That is because Orcus is the ancient punisher of broken oaths. It sounds creepy. In modern times, I think, contracts are part of the words that are related to the astrological symbol Orcus, too. I also noticed Orcus conjunct someone's Sun and later MC in the years of a change of location (while the new house was being built). Should that be because of contracts with builders, mortgages and deals, I wonder?
In relationships the promise to be true forever and ever is a difficult oath to keep and when oath (or broken oaths) are part of the deal, Orcus often holds a prominent position in the (progressed) chart.
There is still little known about the resonation of Orcus. I have written about Orcus before (see links). And here you see the ephemeris of Orcus (Astro.com) http://www.astro.com/swisseph/2004dw.htm At the moment Orcus is at 1.1 degree Virgo, and that is about opposition Neptune in Pisces. The next period seems to be a perfect to observe what happens in the lives of people with their Sun, Midheaven, Ascendant or prominent planet in the 2nd degree of Virgo.
Was Orcus conjunct your Sun or Midheaven or Ascendant when there was an important matter of contracts, oaths or promises? Or did the transit of Orcus perhaps introduce a hairy, bearded giant?:) Or, and that seems to happen all the time, didn't anything happen at all?
See the Ephemeris and check it.

Vesta, in time for my fireplace
This weekend I have been busy moving around the house. Now I have my own special little room, a study filled with my own books and documents, my laptops, my music and some special objects. My room is a rooom with a view, on the sunniest side of the house (maybe that is the interpretation of transit Quaoar on my progressed Descendant?:). From my window I can see the bridge across the river and I look down at the trees and flowers of the neighbours gardens. When it is hot (and it will be hot this spring, they say) there is a balcony. I will write my blog in this room instead of 'on the kitchen table' from now on. But, more on topic: for my comfort (I like it hot:) there is a ' fireplace'. Did you know that Vesta is the symbol of the fireplace? I thought of that when I was thinking about this blog and I looked at the position of Vesta when I started to decorate the study and the fireplace arrived. It was with transit Vesta conjunct my Mars (the symbol of fire) and the AC/MC midpoint.
Sometimes that is (apparently) simply what happens: you buy something warm and do something in the house.

TRANSITS OF PLUTO WITH MOON, MERCURY, VENUS OR MARS
This month is transit month on Astropost. This post is about transits of Pluto with Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars. They tend to stress feelings, ideas, sympathies and drives. Transits of Pluto must always be regarded with the natal chart, the other transits and progressions and the general situation or condition in mind. Having said that, here are some ideas.
Transit Pluto with the Moon intensifies emotions and habits/needs. Getting back to usual (at home) is difficult and challenging with such an aspect, even if it is a trine (though you might feel stronger than ever). It often gives stress at home or in the family. Sometimes this is because of a family problem or a memorable event regarding life and death. Michael Moore had this transit after his chemo therapy (and with his son in jail).
Transit Pluto with Mercury transforms opinions and ideas. You might test your ideas about (for example) your political party during this period. The result might be that you decide to leave the party. The result might also be that the evalution of ideas intensifies your opinions (and the way that you communicate about them). You might also be studying hard in this period. I had this transit when I seriously studied astrology for the first time.
Transits of Pluto with Venus are reflecting the difficult choice to make and sometimes money issues. What is really worth the price to pay? Did I really choose the right partner? Even if you think that you made all the right choices, transit Pluto with Venus gives stress because of the intensity of your desires and feelings. Sometimes it is your body (skin, hormones) and sometimes it is your relationship challenging you to evaluate your choices and ideas of what is nice, beautiful or luxury. This transit doesn’t stand in the way to marriage. Often the relationship is getting deeper and deeper during the (longlasting) transit). But sometimes there is competition or jealousy. To have and to hold might be a problem in many ways! However, sometimes this transit doesn’t seem to have much impact at all. The price you pay for luxury might just be the jealousy of others!
Transit Pluto with Venus AND Mars in the chart of the Swedish king a few months ago…showed challenges regarding passions…among other hard transits, like the transit of Saturn...
Transit Pluto with Mars is testing your drives and muscles, sometimes just in competion (sport or politics), but there is also a danger of violence and having to defend yourself (or feeling that you have to defend yourself). Women might test their husbands during this aspect (is this man worth it?). This transit transforms activities or products and is very demanding. You pay the price with energy. In specific (dangerous) situation this transit warns you to be alert and avoid ‘dangerous men’ and anger. Like in the case of Joran van der Sloot:
- The murder of Stephanie Flores was with transit Pluto trine progressed and quindecile natal Mars.
- The disappearance of Nathalie Holloway was with transit Mars sesquisquare Pluto.
PS The Moon is larger than dwarf planet Pluto. Size doesn't really matter in astrology. Jupiter is large and that is why the meaning of Jupiter is ' big' and 'great' and 'growth'. Jupiter is not considered to have more 'resonation' than Saturn has. The Moon is the closest object. That is why the Moon is regarded to show us more about 'close' things, like home, family, eating habits and emotions.

Transits of Pluto with (progressed) Midheaven or Ascendant
Transits of Pluto with Midheaven, Ascendant, Progressed Midheaven, Progressed Ascendant, midpoint AC/MC*) or progressed Ascendant/MC are transits with the angles of our (progressed or natal) chart. They ‘hit’ the corner stones of our lives. That is why they are often intense, challenging and strong. Transits of Pluto cause stress, even if the actual situation is pleasant (like when you win a price). Transits of Pluto with Midheaven or Ascendant intensify the way that you see your relationships, your situation and your status, reputation or condition. The other transits and progressions show in what way you are being 'challenged' or 'stressed' or 'encouraged' to make a fresh new start or a 'come back'.
TRANSIT WITH MIDHEAVEN
Transit Pluto with Midheaven is the symbol of reorganizations, difficult bosses and domestic changes. Hitler got to power with transit Pluto over Midheaven. This transit may change your position in society in a dramatic way. The inconjunction is very hard sometimes, like it was when Donald Trump had T Pluto inconjunct progressed Midheaven. He is example number one.
EXAMPLE 1
Quote:
It is November 2, 1992, the day that he couldn't pay his debts in the middle of a period of financial problems. Transit Pholus was conjunct his Ascendant (turning point in a situation), transit Pluto was inconjunct his Sun (challenge with a lost) and inconjunct progressed Midheaven (lost position due to problems). Later there was progressed Sun conjunct Pluto, expressing the strong will to come back and intensifying life.
EXAMPLE 2
Another example of transit Pluto conjunct Midheaven is given in the post about Martine Navratilova: http://astropost.blogspot.com/2010/04/chart-of-martina-navratilova.html
She was diagnosed with breast cancer during this transit and transit Pluto was just one of the many difficult transits and progressions at that time.
EXAMPLE 3: an easy way out of all financial problems
It doesn’t always have to be dramatic. One of the winners of the lottery in my files had transit Pluto sextile progressed Midheaven when he won millions. There was of course more (a trine of transit Pluto with his Jupiter and Uranus, for example…).
TRANSIT WITH ASCENDANT
With Pluto on the Ascendant you are being ‘pushed’, maybe into a relationship that you don’t really want or out of a relationship that is 'pushing you'. Time for relation therapy!
The pressure causes problems and stress sometimes. Pluto is manifesting himself in many ways (or should I say 'political correct' that Pluto is being mirrored by the situation?). Sometimes this transit introduces a stalker or an other fanatic person in your life. You may feel the need to defend yourself.
EXAMPLE 1
It happened to a man who later got ‘cold feet’. During his relationship he had an affair and the girl even rang his mother, convinced that she was the real love of his life. However, she was just ‘ the other girl’. ..She didn’t buy it and he moved out of town to avoid contact. His relationship ended anyway. Quote:
That was with transit Saturn square progressed Sun, a perfect transit to end a period, say goodbye and break up. Transit Saturn came right after transit Uranus inconjunct Venus (reflecting an affair, an adventure, falling in love, but*…yes, but he had another!).
This guy wanted to find the easy way out and in the end he got it: free at last, but also all alone:
EXAMPLE 2
Inconjunctions are never a pleasure. Tony Blair had transit Pluto inconjunct the Ascendant (stress and out of balance due to an interrogation; having to defend himself) early last year, when starting the investigations about Iraq. There were also supporting transits… Quote:
The fact that transit Uranus AND transit Pluto are making an aspect with the natal and progressed chart tells us, that it won't be easy for him to have to face the Chilcot Committee. However, transit Saturn is trine his natal Ascendant. And transit Jupiter will soon be making a square. Maybe it is tense, but Tony Blair is a 'die hard' and he will be supported by the best lawyers money can buy.
Transits of Pluto with Midheaven or Ascendant intensify the way that you see your relationships, your situation and your status, reputation or condition. The other transits and progressions show in what way you are being 'challenged' or 'stressed'.
*) the midpoint of Ascendant and Midheaven is the degree in the middle of the cusp of house 1 and house 10. More about midpoints and how to calculate them on Astromarkt.
LINKSSee Brutus about angularity (Pluto on Ascendant for flashy (opportunism) and on Midheaven for competence ('Yes I can' optimism'). Very interesting!

Daily transits of Midheaven and Ascendant
This post is about the daily motion of the angles of the chart, the transits of Ascendant and Midheaven. Another story about the daily motion is the article about Solar Transits (the daily motion of the Sun) on my site Astromarkt. For example, when the Sun is in the same degree as your natal Sun it is Sun conjunct Sun-day and …your birthday. There will be a spotlight (Sun) on YOU. Fortunately it is almost my Sun-Jupiter day!*)
The planets, Sun and Moon move and keep moving every day. So is the position of the Ascendant and Midheaven. The earth is moving around the axis and that is what makes the world go around. The Ascendant and Midheaven pass trough the astrological zodiac and are in aspect with your natal and progressed positions all day long. The Moon is also a fast mover, but nothing beats the movement of the Ascendant and Midheaven!
It happened to me that I had an accident (without injuries) when the Ascendant of the moment of the accident was exactly conjunct my natal Mars. Of course, that happens all the time and every day! There were other indications for accidents, but this one was exact. This sort of thing makes me aware of the ‘bad moments’ on a day. We have such moments when we drop things, forget about something or loose our patience, or enjoy a view. Nothing special, but still.
One of the best examples of the effect of the movement of Ascendant and Midheaven is giving birth. The Ascendant and/or Midheaven and/or the Moon is very often in aspect with the natal positions of the mother and father. Understandably Mars (pain, cuts) and Saturn (fear, hard labour) but also Venus (joy) and Jupiter (happiness) accompany the moment of birth (the moment that is indicated by the Ascendant and Midheaven or the midpoint of Ascendant and Midheaven. The Ascendant is the Eastern side of the horizon, Midheaven is the ‘sky above’ at the exact place of the event or birth at the exact moment of it! So don’t worry if your mother’s Saturn is on your Ascendant and ask her how it was and what happened at the moment that you were born. Perhaps she suddenly felt tired?
![]() |
| What sort of time is it? The daily transits show it. |
It seems that when Midheaven changes sign there is more activity around you. For example: people at the door, people on the phone… I don’t have enough time to watch the transit of Midheaven all day long and in fact, nobody has...So can anybody please make an app for that so that we can have a quick look at the positions of Midheaven and Ascendant IF anything happens? BTW somebody fell real hard with transit Midheaven exactly square her natal Saturn. But that might just be coincidence...

Transits of Pluto with the Sun

Perhaps physical challenges, or a problem with an authority or (political or envious) enemies force you to be strong and brave. In all those situations stress is with you, all along the period of the transit, but in the end you know that you ‘ master’ yourself. Even if you have to start all over again...even if you must do this or that and even if you have to stay up all night. With transit Pluto you live the intense way, as if it could be your last moment on earth. That is the effect of stress...Of course, the stress will be felt harder when your natal chart has Sun-Pluto aspects and/or when you are a politican, an authority, in danger or with enemies. The effect of the transit of Pluto is strongly related to the position in the natal chart and to the general conditions in the country or company. And the transits of Pluto must also be seen in the light of the other transits and progressions (like all transits).
Transits of Pluto aren't one day flies. Pluto is often 'retrograding' (appearing to move backwards) and that is why the transit of Pluto happens more than once in a period of about two years. In that period you learn to deal with Pluto.
Pluto's transits and progressions often show up when an artist has a 'come back', most of the time because there is a financial problem. Pluto often makes it a problem to continue in the way you did before. Something changed and you must try to 'survive' (sometimes literally). Financial or health problems might force you to 'come back' or 'start all over again'. Sometimes the 'come back' refers to old problems coming back, unfortunately. Like with Dutch Prince Bernhard jr. who had to have surgery twice because the same physical problem reappeared with transit Pluto conjunct the Sun.
You don't just die with transit Pluto; you are strong! Even if you have to start all over again...even if you must do this or that and even if you have to stay up all night...
Here are 7 examples of transits of Pluto with the natal or progressed Sun. Use the links to see what else was in the chart.
For example:
1. Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen (age 13, P Sun with transit Pluto when he became a grandmaster).
2. The king of Bhutan in the first year of his reign with transit Pluto square progressed Sun
3. Oprah now that she stops with her shows and a half sister appears with transit Pluto square progressed Sun:
4. Michael Douglas ‘coming back’ at the end of a period of therapy against cancer with transit Pluto square Sun and conjunct Moon (and with his son in prison too)
5. Transit Pluto square the natal Sun conjunct Pluto in the chart of Gwynneth Paltrow when she had problems with an overly fanatic diet.
6. Transit Pluto square natal Sun when Sophia Loren’s husband died.
7. We see Donald Trump as a successful rich man, but he had his problems. I quote myself:
It is November 2, 1992, the day that he couldn't pay his debts in the middle of a period of financial problems. Transit Pholus was conjunct his Ascendant (turning point in a situation), transit Pluto was inconjunct his Sun (challenge with a lost) and inconjunct progressed Midheaven (lost position due to problems). Later there was progressed Sun conjunct Pluto, expressing the strong will to come back and intensifying life.
Pluto is the dwarf planet with giant effects sometimes. The Sun has the starring role in our part of the galaxy and is the symbol of life and vitality. Pluto is the symbol of 'life and death', the reflection of evaluations. You might also see the transit of Pluto as 'Pluto in the spotlights'.
With Sun-Pluto connections evaluations and revaluations will take place and it will be about your life style.
With Sun-Pluto connections evaluations and revaluations will take place and it will be about your life style.
During the transit of Pluto with your Sun, your idea about the value of (your) life might transform. And you might see your problems and values in a new light.
