Reading Silvio Berlusconi's chart (again)

In 2009 I wrote about reading Silvio Berlusconi's natal chart. Later, the time of birth according to Astrodatabank was 5:40. So here is a new version. Can I find Berlusconi in his natal chart?

WHO IS BERLUSCONI?
Silvio Berlusconi's father was a bank employee. Berlusconi is now an important politician and a convicted tax evader who owns A.C.Milan and many millions.

When he was young he worked on cruise ships, to entertain people (as a musician). He composed music and wrote books. He founded a construction company in 1961 (when his sun sign changed to Scorpio) and in 1978 (Progressed Sun trine Saturn) he founded Finivest. He earned a lot of money. In 1994 (P Sun trine Eris) he entered the world of politics and managed to become Prime Minister for just a few months. It is easy to see the artist in the chart (the combination of Moon in Pisces and Sun in Libra, with Neptune rising before the Sun and in a wide opposition with Venus

Today it is his birthday and it is shortly after the ministers of his party resigned. Here is the chart with transits and progressions. Transit Uranus and transit Pluto are in conflict with his Mercury now. In the natal chart Mercury is inconjunct Uranus AND quintile Pluto. No wonder that he and his party are hot news, again!

1. ASTRO ID
(Just like in your passport: what makes you different?)

The Astro ID of Silvio contains Neptune  (rising before the Sun), Pluto! calling (no aspects in sign and orb 5 degree) and the Northern Node (opposition MC). The combination of Neptune and Pluto is the combination of the 'silent or secret force'. Illusionist, madame Blavatsky and mystery writers, but also spies have a prominent Neptune-Pluto combination mirroring discretion, secrecy, keeping secrets and being mysterious. It is a combination that has often been linked to the paranormal, too. When Neptune rises before the sun you may expect a belief or ideology that comes before all. A 'calling' (not aspected) Pluto  (quoting myself) means:

Pluto is seeking challenges and influence by using force and authority or values (money). Strong men (with or without muscles) have unaspected Pluto's, but Pluto is also 'calling' those who do dangerous work or they work where strategy is needed (in politics, for example).
The nasty side of a 'calling Pluto' is that you need more and more power and can't resist the challenge to prove how strong, powerful and rich you are. In certain cases this is too dangerous (for the person or for others).

The important angular Northern Node is reflecting the importance of the community (from family to nation).

One more striking thing is the position of Midheaven. Venus is trine Midheaven, but out of sign. That means that the MC is 'calling' and the position in society could reach any possible level (top or down), somehow/anyhow. 

The Astro ID of Berlusconi is that of a believer/idealist using tactics and strategy at any possible level (perhaps in politics) and whose special status (IC/MC) has a strong connection with groups of people (either way).

2. CHARACTER
A. Elements
Most of the 10 most important planets, Sun and Moon are in water and movable signs. That makes me think of Pisces (the movable water sign), the sign where his Moon and Saturn are. Pisces rules the 7th house and Neptune (ruler of Pisces) rises before the Sun. Pisces/Neptune = the media. Elementary, Berlusconi 'goes - and bends! - with the flow'. Pisces is also an artistic sign and the sign of the sea. That is where his career started.

B. Sun-Moon-Ascendant
Sun is in Libra quintile Jupiter (creative ways to 'be great') and half sesqui square Pluto - 67.5d (a combination for success and confidence); Moon in Pisces' narrowest aspect is the sextile with Uranus (need for excitement), Ascendant Virgo is sextile Pluto (easy way out of problems and challenges). As this Pluto is prominent (see Astro ID), circumstances and situations (Ascendant) made it easy (sextile) to dominate (Pluto).

As Sun/Moon midpoint is in Sagittarius, opposition Chiron in the ninth he is motivated by opinion making.

We see a man with a romantic or creative nature, self confident, with a need for excitement. He finds himself in a situation and has the opportunity to present himself (Ascendant) as a strong man (using power, influence and money) to reach any position possible (MC is calling!), motivated by opinion making.

C.  What more does it take? Expect for that Mercury inconjunct Uranus aspect that brings him in the news again and again...?

1. On the day of birth of Berlusconi (September 29, 1936) Mercury was inconjunct Uranus for all new babies. Transit Neptune and David Cameron

In the post about the chart of David Cameron I wrote:
David Cameron has the chart of a leader (the Sun is 'calling'), a lot of things coming his way (beginning with barriers!) and in the long term a success to look forward to.

I also mentioned the transits of Saturn and Neptune. In February of this year transit Neptune was square his progressed Sun (recently changed sign) and now Neptune is back and not for the last time. Neptune's transit are always confusing (see the post...). Part of the Neptune vocabulary is bad press, gossip and negative influences, isolation and shame. David Cameron has a nasty time now, because he is personally involved in relationships with Rupert Murdoch and Rebekah Brooks. One of his closest employees used to work for Murdoch. The name of Cameron is mentioned every time that the News of the World is in the news. That is a typical Neptune effect.

Within 1,5 year David Cameron will have Progressed Sun trine Jupiter and just one month ago he had one of the best progressions a man can get: Moon trine Jupiter. This affair might be a test case for the beneficial effect of Jupiter's trines...Does Jupiter bring the long term success or will it be too late because of Neptune? Here is the chart:

Mars-Eris with Saturn (and a resignation)

Rebekah Brooks resignation came as a surprise, even though she was in charge of News of the World, the ex-tabloid that got part of the news by hacking phones and sites. Here are the positions of her day of birth:

MARS-SATURN (and ERIS)

There are always more than 2 indications in a chart when there is change. Here we see:

-  Transit Saturn square progressed Mars (the end of energy or ..work, death ends, disciplinary measures etc.)

- Progressed Mars is also square Eris (a conflict).

This combination of Mars-Eris and transit Saturn is the combination of the bad end of a conflict.

There is also: Progressed Mercury trine natal Pholus, Progressed Sun square Node and Transit Pholus is quindecile natal Venus. 

NATAL CHART: SUN-SATURN

The natal chart of Mrs Brooks has Sun semi square Saturn, rising before the Sun. The Sun-Saturn aspect is frequent in the charts of those who manage to be in charge. When Saturn rises before the Sun (and Venus or Mercury) there is a strong orientation on what is classical, on hierarchy (and climbing in society), on the parents' wishes and on structure (construction or administration) or management. She was a manager before she resigned.

We also notice a lot of Gemini (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars and Nessus) with Mercury in Gemini square Uranus and sextile Jupiter for the inventive and curious mind. 

So, there may not be an hour of birth, but it happened to be the day of birth for a person with an inventive and curious character and ...ambition. Perfect for, for example, a manager in the world of tabloids. I also like Uranus sextile Neptune, the combination of the hype. 

However, it takes more than the positions on your birth day to lead you into a professional career. Genes, gender, social position, the economy, chances on the way and your individual chart with hour of birth join forces and even then it is you making your choices. 

More persons were born on May 27, 1968. Baseball player Bagwell was too. He happened to have resigned as a hitting coach just recently:

Chart of Rupert Murdoch:

Rupert Murdoch is a media tycoon. The scandall with one of his papers, News of the World, is indeed news in the world, today. Uranus-Pluto-Midheaven resonates the revolution in his career. (Transit Uranus is trine Progressed Midheaven. Pluto is sesquisquare MC in his progressed chart.) 

Uranus and Pluto together with MC are always causing intense nervous problems because of the dramatic change that often accompanies the combinations of Uranus and Pluto. 

Now we have a sudden (Uranus) dramatic (Pluto) turn (Pholus) in his career (Midheaven) and 3 indications of change and tension, because: there is also Pluto with Pholus. Quoting Astromarkt:

"Pholus+Pluto: dramatic turning point: the prize (or the price to pay) forcing a turning point (?), the pyrrhic victory"

Interesting coincidence is, that the Pholus of News of the World (first published October 1, 1843) is in the 6th degree of Capricorn, just like the Pholus of Murdoch, so that both Murdoch and the newspaper have Pluto conjunct Pholus. 

ASTRO ID

Here is the chart of birth with transits and progressions:

The chart has a few marking points: Mercury (communications), Venus, Neptune (both 'calling' for sense of art and sensitivity at any possible level), Pholus, Quaoar and Vesta (the importance of extraordinary qualities), with Saturn - parents, ambition, management - orient(ation)al: the importance of status, parents and being serious. Venus in the second house of earning money could mean a comfortable financial position and/or the love of earning money.

Here is the progressed chart with transits. I like to point at Uranus rising before the Sun here. Uranus means news, change, upheaval and technology. But Uranus rising before the Sun is also frequent in the charts of very old (and still active) persons. They are exceptional, like Murdoch is. 

OTHER OBSERVATIONS

Jupiter, the multiplier, is in the 7th house of marriage and yes: he married more than once. 

Uranus is inconjunct Midheaven in the natal chart: that is for a lot of upheaval with a loss involved...(News related to the career in a disproportional way). The fact that transit Uranus is now trine Progressed Midheaven illustrates that combinations in the natal chart that are being repeated by transits or progressions are very important. The news with a loss involved is now.

Chart and progressions of Julia Child

Julia Child was a cook, but she was not a cook from the start. She 'progressed' to be a cook and a writer like Barack Obama progressed to be a President (see about Obama's Progressed chart...in the blog about progressed charts and how one grows into a position). Her progressions are a pleasure for astrology!

STARTS COOKING with Sun conjunct Ceres in progressed chart...

In the movie Julie & Julia they mention that it took her 8 years to write and publish her first book in 1961, so she started in 1953, when she was 41 and met two women while already training to be a French cook.  Here is the chart with transits and progressions, or else you wouldn't believe me! 

In 1951 the Progressed Sun had just changed sign (the marriage) and in the Progressed chart the Sun was conjunct Ceres, the symbol of nutrition and important in the charts of famous chef cooks (see this post about Ceres and TV chefs). What a statement for starting (conjunction) to live as a cook... 1951 is the year that she started to teach cooking! See Wikipedia. This shows how important progressed charts are! (Boy, I love those kind of charts!:)

PUBLISHING A BOOK FOR FIRST TIME (Sun conjunct Mercury in Progression)

Then it is 1961 and in the progressed chart the Sun is conjunct Mercury (her book saw the light!. The same Sun-Mercury progression pops up in the chart of Julie Powell when her book was published! Mercury is the symbol of the messenger.

(Really, Julia's life is in line with her progressions!)

APPEARANCE ON TELE AND BIG SUCCESS: Jupiter on her Sun/Moon

She appeared on tele with Progressed Sun conjunct Moon. People get Progressed Sun conjunct Moon when they start doing what they always wanted. On February 11, 1963 she had her first show on tele. Neptune's square with natal MC had past and gone. Transit Jupiter is exactly opposition her Sun/Moon midpoint! And Pholus is already on her Midheaven and getting closer: a turning point in status and career. 

(I can't help it: her chart is splendid!)

But I always say that it takes a birth chart, too, so let's see about that.

Neptune is rising before the calling Sun (NA, drawing attention at any possible level) and Quaoar. She is first of all creating a new kind of media personality: the famous TV cook! 

There you are: the creation of the TV chef Julia Child. There is (obviously) more, like the Moon without aspects in the fifth house (she had no children and wanted them so much), the late but happy marriage (Saturn-Jupiter square Venus) and the writing (Mercury conjunct Venus) but most of all Pholus square Midheaven, the combination of an important turning point in status and career. (Susan Boyle has Pholus on Midheaven, too).

BTW and if you take a 2 degree orb, her Jupiter is quintile MC...

Producer Joop van den Ende will meet President Obama on June 23, when the Tony-nominated musical Sister Act will host the Obama Re-Election Fundraiser campaign. The American President's natal Sun is then square the progressed Sun of the Dutch producer. When people meet there is often some kind of interaction between charts (see Astromarkt about meeting people).

Here is the chart of Joop van den Ende. with transits and progressions for June 23, 2011.

 In short: you see the pattern of arts and entertainment (Moon-Venus-Neptune) and the missing link: Midheaven. He wanted so much to be an artist and performed as a clown, in a cabaret and wrote poems. But he was better as a producer. You see that the most prominent placements in the chart are for Venus and Pluto, in opposition. They are the combination of earning money and investments. He started this career when the progressed Sunsign had changed to Aries. 

A producer needs good contacts. The Moon in Gemini just needs to meet people and bring them into contact with each other. The very tight trine of Mercury and Jupiter mirrors successful communications and Venus square Ascendant is a great help when presenting yourself. With the Ascendant biquintile Jupiter and Vertex he has the creative ability to open doors…and meeting the right persons. Like on June 23…

The model in the chart of Gisele Bundchen

Gisele Bundchen is the best earning model in the world. A composition of 7 indications in her natal chart is resonating this. The nicest one is Sun/Moon (midpoint of motivation, heart and soul) semi square Venus/Jupiter (party, lucky woman, popularity) and Pallas (a female icon). That combination is highlighting the successful female icon that she is. All charts should be seen in the light of culture, genes, gender and  situation. Gisele Bundchen's mother adviced her to become a model, she was trained to be a model. Like many other successful women, Gisele Bundchen has the Moon in Scorpio and this Moon*) is elevated and opposition Pallas: she became a role model, a public person. I read that Gisele bought a hotel and that is one of the other ideas related to a Moon in 10. 

Her first picture on the cover of Vogue in July of 1999 was supported by a transit of Jupiter with Pallas, Sun/Moon and Venus/Jupiter (a fortunate transit that stimulated the already nice combination in the natal chart). She also had transit Uranus opposition Sun (change, being in the news), with transit Pholus square Progressed Moon (soon after Pholus conjunct Midheaven: it means a turning point). Here is the natal chart:

1.  Just like other beautiful women, she has Venus in aspect with Saturn and Pluto in her chart (Venus is exactly trine Pluto and square Saturn). See http://astropost.blogspot.com/2010/09/charts-of-beautiful-women-and-venus.html

2.  Her Sun doesn’t make major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees. This ‘calling’ Sun is the symbol of performance, being a star and drawing attention at any possible level (perhaps even as a leader).

3.  The Sun is angular (on the Descendant), and that again places her in the center of attention of others, but in a distant way (just like models in magazines do).

4.  Her Mars and Jupiter are also ‘calling’. The combination of Sun, Mars and Jupiter in prominent positions mirrors a lot of energy and drive and is a key to success. When Mars is ‘calling’ you tend to be a workaholic or very active (perhaps in sports). Gisele Bundchen first wanted a career in sports).

5.  There is a pattern of artistic talent in her chart: Moon on top, in hard minor aspect with the opposition of Venus and Neptune (connected to the Libra Midheaven = a career in the sphere of style and beauty and balance). She performed in two movies, too, but of course you need to have sense of style, feeling for what the people want and you need to be able to ‘do as if’ if you are a model. 
    BTW Venus and Neptune are at the beginning/end (on either side) of the bowl figure of her natal chart. Venus-Neptune could be seen as the art (Venus) of photography (Neptune).

6.  Venus/Jupiter=Sun/Moon=Pallas seems to reflect being motivated by a pattern of fortune and fun. Sounds good…

7.  Jupiter quintile Uranus ruler 2 might have attributed to the sudden windfall but is also telling us that she is a creative inventive person.

Those are seven good reasons in addition to the Moon in Scorpio on top, valid for a successful model with feeling for posing, drawing attention, working hard to look good and with other keys to success (like having the energy and enjoying it).

CONTROVERSY 

Gisele Bundchen wanted to tell the world how important breast feeding is (see Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gisele_Bündchen) and said that breast feeding should be a world wide law. How interesting that Ceres (symbol of nutrition) is exactly square Saturn (symbol of law, restriction and responsibility) in her natal chart!

Transit Uranus, changing times and Paris Hilton

One of the signs of changing times (see:   ) is a transit of Uranus on your Sun or progressed Sun. Paris Hilton had Transit Uranus conjunct her Sun in 2003. That was when a sex tape of her was distributed on the internet. The result: she and her family needed therapy to get over it (but are they?). 

The tape is still circulating and like many things on the internet it will never ever stop. It is one of the nasty and criminal sides of the internet. It happens all the time and there is no punishment for turning someone's life upside down.  It happened to a Dutch television celebrity and mother of young children, whose nude pictures were stolen by a neighbor and published all over the internet without her permission. The man had to 'work' for 180 hours and that was all. Transit Uranus was afflicting her progressed Mercury and Neptune was sesquisquare her Sun when this happened with later transit Pluto: difficult times...Transit Uranus was also conjunct Paris Hilton's Mercury at the time*).

Positive change (like in Jerry Winkler's life)

The life of homeless Jerry Winkler changed in a dramatic way last year, when he found out that his biological father  (Alfred Winkler) was a very rich man. After the death of his mother his father admitted not to be his biological father. That is when he started a quest that ended when his DNA matched late Alfred Winkler's for 99,99999 percent. This year they are making a movie about the developments in Jerry's life. But, you may wonder: what is in the chart? The hour of birth is not known, but still there is a lot of information.

You'd expect this chart to show some kind of potential for change, wouldn't you? And there is: Uranus is calling (not aspected): change!  But we'd expect more, wouldn't we? Well, there is more...Jupiter is in the first degree of Scorpio, semi square Uranus and not making a major aspect in sign in 5 degrees of orb. So now we have a 'calling' Uranus and a 'calling' Jupiter! 

The combination of Jupiter-Uranus is the combination of relief, positive change and fortunate surprise. 

PROGRESSIONS AND TRANSITS

Pholus is the symbol of turning points. In the year 2010 Pholus was inconjunct the natal Sun of Jerry. That means: a disproportionate turning point, with a loss involved (losing the possible contact with his biological father, who died that year). The positive turning point happened to be with the midpoint of transit Jupiter/Pholus conjunct his progressed Sun. A third indication is the transit of Uranus in the first degree of Aries, inconjunct his natal Jupiter and trine natal Uranus (a second lucky Jupiter-Uranus combination**). So we count 3 combination for lucky change and one for a turning point with a loss.

You might wonder how this young man became homeless. There were problems with his stepfather and he left home when he was 14. As a drug addict and dealer he saw the bad sides of life. Sun square Saturn in the natal chart is reflecting the restrictions and limitations of life (and the distance to his parents/father). His real father died without even knowing that he had a son.

Oprah Winfrey's final show

Transit Pluto was on the progressed Moon of Oprah Winfrey, on the day before yesterday, when the final show was made (on television next week). Pluto with Moon intensifies emotions, so I guess that the large amount of hand kerchiefs was needed:). Another sign now is the progressed Sun inconjunct Pallas (symbol of patterns) now that she stops the 25-year range of popular shows on television. Within a few weeks transit Pluto will be on the Sun/Moon midpoint to transform her lifestyle. Of course she decided this a year ago and in the past months there have been many important transits and progressions. Oprah, Obama and Neptune

End of April, President Barack Obama will be on Oprah's couch again. There are many speculations about the involvement or influence of Oprah on Obama running for the Presidency. Speculations and gossip are part of the Neptunic vocabulary. So it is interesting to see that Oprah's natal Sun and Venus are exactly square the Neptune of Barack Obama. And Barack Obama's progressed Sun is inconjunct transit Neptune...resonating his natal Sun-Neptune square. Neptune is the symbol of idols and of the media. Two idols come together when Obama meets Oprah on television. And of course, Neptune is with them:).

SUN NEPTUNE 

It seems that such an aspect points at being charmed and disappointment later. I wonder in what way Oprah is disappointed in her political hero (or if Neptune is still standing!:) 

I know that Obama has Sun square Neptune in his natal chart and that he is being confused with the myth that has been created in the media. Not long ago he had transit Neptune opposition natal Sun and inconjunct Progressed Sun: the combination of the 'fallen angel' and disappointments for himself. Could the media circus lift him back to the clouds again? It is with transit Neptune inconjunct the Progressed Sun of the President, again. (In Oprah's Progressed chart the Sun is square Moon.  The best interpretation of Sun inconjunct Neptune is that you get rid of some wrong ideas about you.

There is a lot of Sun-Neptune info on this blog and on Astromarkt (see links) that is clear (sic...) about one thing: when Neptune is in aspect with the Sun, it means confusion and unclarity. Part of the given examples were about double lives, others about mistaken identity or being an idol/fallen angel. For some reason it is easy for Sun-Neptune to live a fantasy or live in an unreal world. Movie stars are the sort of idols and heroes related to Sun-Neptune.  Some Presidents and PM's are idols and worshipped by millions and they have a Sun-Neptune aspect, too. German Mrs. Merkel has Sun square Neptune, just like Obama. And she is in charge since November 22, 2005. Mr. Obama was the first ' black' President in the USA. Angela Merkel was the first female Chancellor of Germany. That is why both are role models, like it or not. 

VENUS NEPTUNE

Even more difficult is the Venus-Neptune adoration aspect. It is a very romantic dream, even if it is not in a love relation. When Venus meets Neptune there is a lot of confusion about desires and wishes and the hero who is supposed to realize it all...Here is Obama's chart with the transits of the day of birth of Oprah.

OBAMA's SUN-NEPTUNE

In Obama's chart it doesn't stop raining transits of Neptune inconjunct the progressed Sun in 2012. Neptune is strong in the last and first degrees of a sign, too...However, there is also progressed Sun trine Jupiter, in just a few months time. And that might be just too soon for election time. Best for him is to celebrate his 2012 birthday in Washington DC. That is the best astrological place to be on August 4, 2012. You see, the Solar return chart for that location has Jupiter firmly on top of the chart! And that means Success!

Hugh Hefner's birthday

Today it is the 85th birthday of a man who hasn't found his true love yet: Hugh Hefner, the eternal playboy. I wrote about him on Astrology&Love in May 2009. That was before I used Pholus in the chart and now I notice that Pholus is exactly opposition his Midheaven, which seems to me a perfect position for a man whose position in society changed that much (other example: Susan Boyle with Pholus on Midheaven). I also like the astrological statement of Mars and Jupiter in the 5th house of games, entertainment and the opposite sex. It says: successful (Jupiter) play (5th house) boy  (Mars). The combination with Pluto contributes to the amount of success, but also shows the disproportional and unbalancing use and abuse of power, potential and money. Quoting my earlier post on Astrology&Love:


"With the prominent Venus,Mars, Mercury and Uranus we have the prophile of a person with a prominent passion (Venus and Mars) for controversial (Uranus) communications (Mercury) or for shocking messages about sexuality (Venus and Mars)."

Now we get at a minor aspect, the tightest aspect in his chart: Mars inconjunct Pluto. A misbalanced (inconjunct) use (Mars) or abuse (Mars) of Pluto-matters like money, power, influence, politics, and potency or sexuality.

Jeopardy: charts, Prada, Callas, Gies, elevated Uranus?

The answer is: ' Subjects of posts on Astropost on February 15, 2009'. Was that easy? I wish I could give you ' Jennings' or 'Rutter' or 'Watson'  so that you could ask: "Who won Jeopardy on February 16, 2011?". But I can't. I don't have hours or places of birth for the three of them and I don't know at what hour and minute the final moment of the competition is, tomorrow. Also, I keep waking up at about 2:45 a.m. (since the Mars return, but now I FEEL it) and so I take it easy tonight...This post has some links to earlier posts and an alinea about Jeopardy. I will start with the links.

On February 15, 2009 I had a more productive day than today: 4 posts. One about Jaya Prada, politician and Bollywood Actres who was attacked on that day but fortunately not hurt. She was born April 3, 1962 and had transit Jupiter conjunct Saturn in that period and the transit Sun trine progressed Venus. It was, in other words, a good day and there was some help (Jupiter) in hard times.

JEOPARDY

Today's post could have been about Jeopardy only, but I can't make up my mind about who wins:). How could I, without hours of births, hours of the final minute and without the 'natal chart'  of the computer, Watson? And without being able to watch the show!? 
All I can tell you is, that the battle is between two human beings  and a computer. Their names are:

• Brad Rutter (born on January 31, 1978 and the biggest all-time money winner in Jeopardy) and 
• Kenneth Jennings (born May  23, 1974 and not only a Jeopardy record winner. He also won the Rookie Divisioin of the American Crossword Puzzle Tournement in 2006)
• Watson, an artificial brain

The men both have a wider trine between Sun and Pluto and that they share Venus square Uranus. That tells us that they have sense of rhythm and that they love excitement and surprises (Venus-Uranus). They will also find ways to self esteem and authority (and they did, didn't they, with Sun trine Pluto). Because they SHARE these aspects it also tells us that they are able to join forces against a shared enemy. And that they will have fun together! 


When they broke a record a few years ago they had a minor aspect between Jupiter and Sun (see their - progressed - charts) and one of them had a Mars-Uranus trine. On February 16, only one of them has a transit Mars trine Uranus. The other one has transit Jupiter opposition Pluto. And for the rest: only difficult aspects, like Progressed Sun inconjunct Progressed Neptune or transit Pholus conjunct Neptune...I don't know about Watson...:) I heard one of the man say that Watson doesn't have nerves or emotions, like humans do. But he also doesn't have a compact brain. Anyway, may the best 'man' win! Tomorrow we will know the name.

A movie about Nicholas Culpeper, astrologer

Nicholas Culpepeper was a famous healer and astrologer, a visionary and a rebel. Tony White, an award-winning animator, plans to make a personal movie on the life and works of the British herbalist/astrologer. It would be an interesting movie for everybody interested in the history of astrology. Tony White launched a Kickstarter page to invite individuals to help him get it going with donations. Here is the natal chart of Culpeper. In the time that he was born Chiron had not been discovered, yet, but the symbol of healing is square his Midheaven. Uranus wasn't an official planet yet,but the symbol of controversy AND astrology is semi square the midpoint Sun/Moon.  And how about the semis square between Mercury and Jupiter/Uranus and the  Midheaven with Jupiter and Uranus? I have not seen an astrologer's chart yet without Jupiter-Uranus combinations.  There is more: Pluto is prominently opposition Midheaven and Neptune is the planet of orientation. Neptune and Pluto toghether are the symbols of spirituality.

There is a lot to study: the chart and the interestying and hard life of Nicholas Culpeper, a man who had to live with limitations (Sun opposition Saturn) and who strongly believed in the value of astrology.

Tudor Henry VIII (Bluebeard)

Recently seen 'The Tudors'? I can't watch it, it is just too horribly true. It is about the life of Henry VIII, nickname Bluebeard, who didn't only had two of his wives murdered, but also had many others killed, tortured and banned. And often that was because of his desires. This selfish and completely unpredictable English king didn't have an astrologer, as far as I know. But he had a chart. The chart doesn't immediately show his true character. We see Venus on Midheaven and Jupiter rising before the Sun (the optimist,the international - he spoke a few languages -). Venus and Jupiter, that is a party! And he liked to eat a lot and have a lot of wedding parties. Venus was square the Ascendant and Jupiter quintile, so the ladies loved his looks. He wrote his own music, too. Such a charming young man. And so cruel. 

He became the king of England on June 23, 1509, just 18, soon after his brother died and married the woman who was supposed to be his brother's wife. In June Progressed Mercury is square Midheaven and transit Pluto is inconjunct the natal Sun (self esteem problem, too much stress, matters of life and death).  Transit Pluto had just been opposition progressed Midheaven. It is an intense period in his life. 

There is a perfect trine between progressed Mars and natal Saturn (an act of duty, a matter of death). And we see transit Jupiter trine natal Moon to show us how happy the memorable moment was....It is the mix of duty, stress, death and glory that is in line with the event. He married 12 days earlier, with transit Neptune (ruler 7) inconjunct the Ascendant, with his death brother's wife (who said that the marriage had not been consumated). It seems that he even loved her for a couple of years. She was the first, but not the last and not his everything...

From that moment on he turned into a man abusing his power. Read it on the internet (links are here) or see ' The Tudors'. 

Where is the hidden tyrant in the chart? It is in the minor aspects, as all hidden characteristics are. And it is in the circumstances (he had full and absolute power over life and death, though there was a so called judge). We see the combination of Sun, Mars, Saturn and Pluto (unnatural deaths) Mars half semi square Pluto and trine Saturn in the progressed chart (when the blood shedding started). But it is also in the natal chart. The Sun is square Mars/Pluto

Sun is 157.5 (sesquisquare + half semisquare) Saturn and quintile Mars  and 105d Pluto

That is the combination of 'unnatural death' as an issue in life. There is a long list of deaths in his name.

Also Venus opposition Mars/Saturn is not the nicest combination in love as it means death end sympathies and ending passions.  We see Venus inconjunct Pluto, tightly, for the money issue (and for intense desire at a certain price). And it were the wives who paid the price. Venus = Mars/Saturn and inconjunct Pluto.

It is not that a person has to become a tyrant and a Bluebeard with these aspects. It is that he had the chance to use the darkest sides of his personality.  The most important 'finding' is that is good to have democracies. But we don't need astrology to know that.
