Positive change (like in Jerry Winkler's life)

The life of homeless Jerry Winkler changed in a dramatic way last year, when he found out that his biological father  (Alfred Winkler) was a very rich man. After the death of his mother his father admitted not to be his biological father. That is when he started a quest that ended when his DNA matched late Alfred Winkler's for 99,99999 percent. This year they are making a movie about the developments in Jerry's life. But, you may wonder: what is in the chart? The hour of birth is not known, but still there is a lot of information.

You'd expect this chart to show some kind of potential for change, wouldn't you? And there is: Uranus is calling (not aspected): change!  But we'd expect more, wouldn't we? Well, there is more...Jupiter is in the first degree of Scorpio, semi square Uranus and not making a major aspect in sign in 5 degrees of orb. So now we have a 'calling' Uranus and a 'calling' Jupiter! 

The combination of Jupiter-Uranus is the combination of relief, positive change and fortunate surprise. 

PROGRESSIONS AND TRANSITS

Pholus is the symbol of turning points. In the year 2010 Pholus was inconjunct the natal Sun of Jerry. That means: a disproportionate turning point, with a loss involved (losing the possible contact with his biological father, who died that year). The positive turning point happened to be with the midpoint of transit Jupiter/Pholus conjunct his progressed Sun. A third indication is the transit of Uranus in the first degree of Aries, inconjunct his natal Jupiter and trine natal Uranus (a second lucky Jupiter-Uranus combination**). So we count 3 combination for lucky change and one for a turning point with a loss.

You might wonder how this young man became homeless. There were problems with his stepfather and he left home when he was 14. As a drug addict and dealer he saw the bad sides of life. Sun square Saturn in the natal chart is reflecting the restrictions and limitations of life (and the distance to his parents/father). His real father died without even knowing that he had a son.

Chart, progressions and transits of Dominique Strauss-Kahn

Someone mailed me about the excellent analysis of the Oxford Astrologer*) of the chart of Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the IMF leader who is now in jail after accusations of attempt of raping a chamber maid in a NY hotel. What more can I say? This post adds something about Pholus on his Descendant, the progressed chart and the transits of May 14, 2011 (day of the arrest). On that day there was a difficult combination of transits: transit Neptune, ruler 8th house, inconjunct DSK's Ascendant + transit Saturn quindecile (165d) his important Mars.  Transit Saturn will soon be trine progressed Midheaven and Mars (as from next week till July). What does it mean? In short, that says: double death ends (restrictions) and humiliation. And there is always more in such cases: Mercury trine Neptune in the progressed chart. Mercury-Neptune is the suspect’s aspect combination (see the posts about the Friedman’s and Amanda Knox, see the labe). Mercury-Neptune also doesn’t support trips. There will always be something wrong with the schedule. Even it there are trines (or maybe it is even easier to confuse plans with trines!).

Charts must be seen in the light of someone’s gender, genes, situation, status, condition and culture. Strauss-Kahn risks a 20 year punishment for what he did in the USA. Earlier sexual misbehavior in Europe hasn’t even been reported. It seems that the IMF-man did the wrong thing in the wrong city. And that the tightest major natal aspect in his chart (Mars sextile Uranus, see Astromarkt) proved to be the aspect of acting on impulse, again.

Transit Uranus, transit Jupiter and transit Quaoar together

What to expect when there are 3 transits and two of them are resonating a natal aspect? The are: transit Uranus opposition Progressed Saturn, transit Jupiter is sextile Pholus and transit Quaroar is trine the natal Sun, at about the same period of time? It happened to John Darwin and this is what happened to him:

1. Transit Uranus opposition progressed Saturn shows that it is time for the issue of limitated freedom or breaking free. It was liberation time for John Darwin.... The transit is extra strong because of the existing quintile between Uranus and Saturn in the natal chart.

2. In January Pholus was semi square Mars in the progressed chart and transit Jupiter was sextile Pholus. A successful turning point in a struggle or battle, as it seems.

3. Transit Quaoar trine the natal Sun is a sort of a message about the easy creation of a new lifestyle. This transit is extra strong because of the existing semi square between Sun and Quaoar in the natal chart. 

Together Jupiter, Uranus and Quaoar create a happy change and it is the combination that counts. John Darwin is  the man who vanished and pretended to be dead in order to collect the insurance money. There is a story on the internet that they forgot to confiscate ALL of the money and that there is enough left for him and his wife to have a comfortable life.

2. The astrological story is here on Astropost, written in 2007.  I want to add that the importance of money is shown by the fact that Venus and Pluto are rising before the Sun. Venus is novile Pluto and that is for the joy of having money. Having money was important enough to even cheat on his own children. Quote:

Progressions and life changing successes

The progressed Sun's beneficial aspects and transits often mark the start of a career. For example:

I read that Lily Allen created a MySpace account in November 2005 (with transit Saturn square natal Sun) to launch her music, after being introduced  to London Records - without results - using her father's connections in 2002*). That was just before her progressed Sun sign was changing. When the progressed sunsing changes, life changes. 

One month later, in December 2005 transit Pholus was opposition progressed Sun and transit Jupiter also was opposition progressed Sun. That is a statement for a positive (Jupiter) turning point (Pholus) in life's development (progressed Sun)...shortly after 'changing lifestyle'.  Those three indications together were for a boost in her career.


That is just one example. I mentioned Bill Gates in this post about progressions and career. Progressions with Jupiter and Pluto marked pleasant moments of progress in his position. 

Jupiter is of course the symbol of fortune and growth (usually!) and a great help on the way. That is why we might expact benefits for Barack Obama, whose progressed sun sign changed a few months ago and whose first aspect in the new sign is a trine with Jupiter. It is a great test case for Jupiter trines!:)

Bill Cosby lives

Bill Cosby, who is fighting announcements of his death lately, is an actor 1). Here is his A-rated chart, with transits and progressions and here are some astrological observations, perhaps explaining the hoaxes and his feelings about them. There are more than 10 transits and progressions.

The progressed Sun is changing sign and lately received transits from Uranus, Saturn and Chiron, reflecting periods ending. The natal Sun is inconjunct transit Quaoar, mirroring a new reality involving a lost. Transit Pholus is inconjunct Moon and IC for an emotional turning point with a lost involved...and more...Anyway, Cosby IS alive but he is not having much fun because of the hoax.

Happy Carlos Quieroz

Just a quick glance at the time unknown chart of Carlos Quieroz, the happy coach of Portugal (defeating North Korea with 7-0) was enough:

- progressed Sun in the 11th degree of Pisces is sextile natal Jupiter in the 11th degree of Taurus and Jupiter is for success;
- transit Northern Node is at 12 Capricorn and that is pretty close to the natal Sun (how about reading this as 'starring role in a community?)
- transit Jupiter is sextile the natal ('calling'!) Pholus.
I tend to see Pholus (shoot, foot) as a symbol of football. Jupiter sextile Pholus than means: succesfull or international (Jupiter!) football.

The Portugese coach has Sun trine Jupiter in the natal chart and that is great (think this over...:)

HOW ABOUT YOU?
It is hard to believe, but a nice aspect with Jupiter sometimes means ... nothing special. I mean: you can't count on an effect. See the posts about Jupiter and Jupiter in the 12th house about this and don't expect too much. If you don't your chances of feeling great will grow, even without promotion, success, travelling or 'being published'. Jupiter sometimes means being helped by a good advice or doctor, meeting a coach or counting your blessings...(especially when Jupiter is in the 12th house of the natal chart or by transit).
