Astrology of Netherlands-Chili June 23, 2014

Use the label 'Football' and you find a lot of posts related to an experiment: finding a correspondence between charts and results in football. Here is another try.

On Monday June 23, 2014 there is the match Netherlands-Chili and I think that it will be undecided but a typical short fuse match. Why?
1. A peculiar Midheaven of the final moment with only one aspect (inconjunct Neptune, the planet of confusion and doubt),
2. The MC of the final moment is exactly square the natal Neptune of Sampaoli (the coach of Chili). Sounds like disappointment and he wants to be the pool number 1
3. Mars opposite Uranus (short fuses), tightly and
4. Eris-Mars-MC and Van Gaal (football is war sometimes)
5. Double Sun-Mars synastry between the coaches. This shows competition.

But, nothing is certain and predicting is difficult, especially when it is about the future:). So don't put your money on it, just study the charts. Any other idea? Let me know before the match!

BTW The chart of the Netherlands had transit Jupiter sextile Sun in 1988 (when the Netherlands became European champion). On July 13 (finale WC2014) Jupiter will be 5 degrees too far for a perfect trine with the Dutch natal Sun. The Netherlands are not favorite in the Top10. Hope keeps them going!:)

This is the chart of the final moment with the transit positions on the day of birth of Sampaoli.
PS
The picture above shows that in Greece in ancient times there was football, too, just like astrology. Did these two meet?

Raymond Domenech: no agreement

Domenech- by Safia Otokore (Wiki Commons)
Raymond Domenech didn't come to an agreement with the French Football Federation today. Raymond Domenech is a French coach. He was fired after the bad results of the World Championships. He has been on this blog before, because they say that he bases his teams on astrology (...oh my...with what results) and I found that 'they' mean that he composes his teams by using sunsigns and in a particular way (no Scorpio for him, for example). In the first post about him I wrote:

"Raymond Domenech, the coach of France in the EC Football 2008 was born January 24 1952 in Lyon and he is an astrologer, too. It seems he uses astrology in his work. Now that he lost, this fact is used in the media to put him down even more and to laugh about astrologers, of course.
I don't know how much he knows about astrology. What he knows is, that he is an Aquarius and that is why he avoids Scorpios and Leos in his team. Not the finest choice, since in the Dutch team (that defeated his) Marco van Basten is a Scorpio and so is the keeper (Van der Sar)."

Let us see what kind of transits and progressions accompany the event. Astrotheme provided an hour of birth (21.00 hours) and this is the chart with a mix of nice and difficult aspects. They show that with the Moon is in aspect with Venus there is a need to agree but there is no need to come to an agreement:). Should transit Saturn inconjunct the Descendant be stronger? Here is the chart:

Next chance is January 13, 2012, with Saturn on his Ascendant. Sigh...So maybe try to make a deal before?

North Korea: des astres...

It seems that when you don't control things, the asteroids are the reflection of 'disastres' (a word originating from French that means: what comes from the stars, des astres). When you are a football player or coach in North Korea you are supposed to win or...you will be tortured and sent to a prison camp! This is the chart of the day of birth of the coach:

natal, transits and progression Kim Jong-hun
The coach's name is Kim Jong-hun. When he started training the boys, the progressed Sun had recently changed to the next sign*) and  he started a new life and lifestyle. This chart shows that it takes background info to read it. You need to consider that this coach lives in an extreme world. When there is little personal choice to make and an irrational government or strict rules for society decide about your life, your life path is marked with little dangerous and sharp stones and any step can cause injuries or falling. Maybe that is why the most tiny objects (the asteroids) are so important in this chart?

Saturn and Ceres seem to illustrate the consequences of breaking unwritten society rules. The Saturn-Ceres combination is active in this case and I have a second (Japanese) example...

Wesley Sneijder's wedding (and my summer break)

This is a repost about Wesley Sneijder's wedding. The constant difficulties with my computer and/or (what is it?) the save/don't save of blogger, the mixed up data of the earlier post and the fact that I read that he is celebrating the wedding in Borgo Monastero in Castelnuovo Berardenga (where I spent my holidays years ago) remind me of a necessary summer break. It is hot, the sun is shining and this is the 5th attempt to get this message posted. For some odd reason the computer saves and doesn't save as he pleases and he cuts away pieces of text, too. Transit Uranus sextile Mercury...and thent they say that sextiles are harmonious:)!@#$! It is an easy way out to make me repeat messages like a flashlight!

But first Wesley's chart. I'll be quick and short this time. Here it is, with the correct year of birth, and see: it is a footballer's chart! Mars angular. Jupiter (the international) is the planet of orientation. Pholus (feet, shooting) is trine Ascendant. Mars and Saturn opposition MC mirroring the constant pain due to ancient injuries related to the profession.

WEDDING AND PARTIES
Have you seen the outrageous celebration of the second place of the WC2010 (tour trough the Amsterdam canals)? And have you read all the newspapers about the wedding? It is perhaps a bit overdone. Watch the inconjunction between Jupiter and Midheaven in the progressed chart (scroll down).
- Transit Jupiter and transit Pluto are in minor aspect with progressed Venus. The combination of Venus, Jupiter and Pluto mirrors financial successes, expenses (...)  and ...a great wedding!
- Transit Jupiter is also in aspect with (progressed) Mercury/Venus. Maybe he will have a great vacation. I am planning to have one, too.. CU somewhere in August!

PS
Source of the hour of birth is the weekly magazine Prive showing the birth certificate (and thank you Ria for telling me so!).

Spain's national chart and the championship

Of course you know that Spain won the WC2010 in South Africa! Enhorabuena! The Spanish team is now  the champion in the world of football!

Isn't such an event a perfect moment to find the true national astrology chart? I thought it was. So, I had a look at the national charts of Spain (there exist more than 1) to see which one is corresponding with the present Spanish victory and joy. I based my choice on the fact that there is a strong indication for success in the transits and progression for this chart of Spain (minor transits of Pluto and Jupiter with progressed Mars )  in the one of 1975 (inauguration of King Juan Carlos).
See the chart and the other aspects in this post. For more examples and explanation, see the links and labels...

Marcello Lippi, the lost match and the retirement

Marcello Lippi’s team (Italy) lost and he immediately retired. What transits and progressions of the chart (no hour of birth) support this event?

1. His progressed Sun is conjunct Uranus
That is one of many signs of changing times and lifestyles. The progression with Uranus often reflects sudden changes, incidents or upheavel (nerves).
2. Transit Pluto sesquisquare Mars
Forced to defend yourself or a difficult competition (and the risk of getting hurt)
3. Transit Saturn square natal Jupiter
Ups and (more) downs…

Here is the chart.

HOW ABOUT YOU?
The example of Lippi is an example without hour of birth. Perhaps his individual natal or progressed chart offer more astrological info for the present personal situation. Remember: it takes more than 2 indications for a major change in life or lifestyle! See a list of possible indications here...

Happy Carlos Quieroz

Just a quick glance at the time unknown chart of Carlos Quieroz, the happy coach of Portugal (defeating North Korea with 7-0) was enough:

- progressed Sun in the 11th degree of Pisces is sextile natal Jupiter in the 11th degree of Taurus and Jupiter is for success;
- transit Northern Node is at 12 Capricorn and that is pretty close to the natal Sun (how about reading this as 'starring role in a community?)
- transit Jupiter is sextile the natal ('calling'!) Pholus.
I tend to see Pholus (shoot, foot) as a symbol of football. Jupiter sextile Pholus than means: succesfull or international (Jupiter!) football.

The Portugese coach has Sun trine Jupiter in the natal chart and that is great (think this over...:)

HOW ABOUT YOU?
It is hard to believe, but a nice aspect with Jupiter sometimes means ... nothing special. I mean: you can't count on an effect. See the posts about Jupiter and Jupiter in the 12th house about this and don't expect too much. If you don't your chances of feeling great will grow, even without promotion, success, travelling or 'being published'. Jupiter sometimes means being helped by a good advice or doctor, meeting a coach or counting your blessings...(especially when Jupiter is in the 12th house of the natal chart or by transit).

Nicolas Anelka and Raymond Domenech

Nicolas Anelka (born in Versailles, March 14 1979) offended his trainer (Raymond Domenech) during the WC2010 and was sent home, but still Domenech is rather calm about the incident, explaining that the WC football players suffer from a lot of stress. Anelka didn't want to apologize...

Jupiter is the planet of tolerance and wisdom. Raymond Domenech's Jupiter is sextile midheaven. Unfortunately, Anelka's Saturn is square the Midheaven of Domenech and inconjunct Domenech's Jupiter. Saturn is the hard liner of the planets, building barriers. The Saturn of Anelka is opposition his Mars and Mars is rising before his Sun. One of the possible effets of the Mars-Saturn opposition has been described on Cafe Astrology:
You can pick at yourself and others unmercifully

And that is what happened now and the target was the position (MC) as a coach (wise man leading the team: Jupiter) of Domenech. Notice that Anelka lost the confrontation...He was sent away. Mars-Saturn conflicts often eventually hurt yourself. And Jupiter is ...well, Jupiter is why Domenech is able to be tolerant. He already won.

How about you?
With an oriental Mars (that is when Mars rises before the Sun*) your orientation is on what Mars means: action, sport, aggression, militarism and drive. Hard aspects with Mars hurt (you or others). So when Mars is important (like when Mars is oriental), your first idea is to DO something (to hit, hurt or start up something). Anelka's prominent Mars is helpful in sports, but might damage or hurt sometimes, too. The oriental Mars is found in the charts of 'tough' women, soldiers and sports men or entrepeneurs and everywhere where the action is.

*) You find the planet rising before the Sun, by moving your finger clockwwise from the position of the Sun. The Ascendant (moving anti-clockwise) will reach Mars just before the Sun comes up (again), when Mars is the planet rising before the Sun.

LINK
In 2008,when I didn't know his hour of birth, I wrote about Domenech and his interest in astrology. Here is the link. It seems that he composes his team using sun sign astrology and I remarked that his idea to not have Scorpio's or Leo's in his team (because he is an Aquarian) might not help him win (since the Dutch team that defeated his had 2 Scorpio's). Domenech is an Aquarian and Anelka is a Pisces (uhmmm...) Of course, you know that astrology is about more than just sun signs...

Synastry coaches Okada (Japan)-Van Marwijk (Netherlands)

The chart below shows the astrological postions at noon for the day that Takeshi Okada was born in Osaka. He is the Japanese coach (WC 2010).Bert van Marwijk is the Dutch coach. His positions are the 'transits'. Okada doesn't like Van Marwijk and it is more than a matter of competition. Okada is offended because Bert van Marwijk forgot him, completely, and didn't remember his face. Van Marwijk even asked him if he knew who the Japanese coach was...

It is easy to dislike each other, because:
- The Sun of Van Marwijk is opposition the Saturn of Okada (distance)
- The Sun of Van Marwijk is inconjunct the Neptune of Okada (disproportional grieve)
- The Sun of Van Marwijk is square the Pluto of Okada (anger)
- The Northern Node of Van Marwijk is square Okada's Saturn (distance again)
- The Mars of Van Marwijk is square the Uranus of Okada (short temper..)
- The Jupiter of Van Marwijk is opposition the Uranus of Okada (I liked the interpretation of Skyviewzone, especially the part of little understanding of what each of the two is about:)

Yes, this interaction between the natal chart positions shows distance, disturbance, hot temper and humilation. And that is exactly what Okada says: he thinks that Van Marwijk humilated him.

On Saturday June 19, 13:30 hours, there is the match Netherlands-Japan in Durban RSA. Let's see if revenge rally is sweet:)

HOW ABOUT YOU?
What if you meet a person who has such a lot of difficult synastry aspects with you? Avoid the man or woman!:) Unless you really like to be tought a lesson in relationships...You can calculate the synastry aspects between your chart positions and his/hers even if you don't know the hour of birth. Just create a 'time unknown' chart with the transits for the day of birth of the partner and see what aspects are between the positions. Curious about aspects and more basics of astrology? Daniel Agger's own goal

Daniel Agger’s own goal started the defeat of Denmark in the match Netherlands-Denmark. Here is the chart of the moment of the goal with the natal positions of Daniel Agger (who shares his birthday with me). Observations:

The transit Sun is inconjunct Daniel Agger’s Saturn and that is a bad sign for just one day.
Transit Uranus square natal Neptune refers to a ‘ disaster’
Transit Pluto is semi square his Mars (frustrating use of force, violence or defence)
Transit Jupiter and Uranus are square his Neptune: maybe an opportunity to repair this moment of disappointment
Transit Quaoar is conjunct his Sun: creating a new realitiy in life (it is a period of chances).

Watch the progressed Sun conjunct Jupiter. Maybe better next time? I hope that the next match doesn't finisch at the same hour, because as you see in the chart below, the Ascendant of the final moment is exactly at Mars/Saturn, a deadly moment of lost.

Chart of Lionel Messi

I found the presentation of a chart with hour of birth for the young soccer (football) player Lionel Messi on this site Astrologia Diana Rosa: using Google in Spanish. It is 20:20. I don’t know the source of this hour. Is it coincidence that Spica is on Midheaven, promising wealth and fame or is this a ‘ guess chart’ or ‘ corrected chart’? If that is so, it was a good one, because the positions correspond with what you’d expect, like the Ascendant semi square Saturn (and think of his nick name ' La Pulga', because of being small and fast. Saturn is the symbol of limitations and concentrations (and of small things).
So, here are some of my observations for this chart.

JUPITER-URANUS
Ruler 1 Uranus is in Sagittarius and the angular Jupiter is trine ruler 1 Uranus: double statement for inventive techniques and positive changes in his life because of a helicopter view. These changes, this sudden windfall, is happening now. But this is not the first or the last time that Jupiter and Uranus marked important periods in his career. When he had his debute in the first team of FC Barcelona, transit Neptune would be square progressed Midheaven and Progressed Midheaven would be semi square Uranus (ruler 1) and quindecile Jupiter. Interesting, this repeating pattern of Jupiter and Uranus…Together with Mars, Jupiter and Uranus are in tight aspect with Midheaven in the natal chart, too. The first chart in this post is the debute chart (natal, transits and progressions).

NOW
The progressed Sun has been inconjunct Uranus and that was disturbing his fysical balance, but now the progressed Sun is moving towards a square with his angular Jupiter: it will be OK, he will get better (but maybe not during the first week of this WC). Within one year the Jupiter-Uranus progression has completed and the positive changes have occurred. Here is the chart for now:

The angular Jupiter is connected with the Sun by a sesquisemisquare (67.5 degrees). On July 5, 2010 transit Jupiter will be square natal Sun. That is another good sign for success.

Pluto is on top of this chart. Transit Pluto was opposition natal Sun in the last months of 2009, when he won three important cups. Winning also meant stress and a body being ‘ exploited’ and challenged, of course together with a strong will to win and impress. He impressed, but forced to much of himself. That is why he is tired. He is a top scorer with 34 goals in 2009/2010!

Later this summer, in August, there will be another combination of Saturn and Pluto followed by Jupiter and Uranus. But first: the WC! Use the labels under this post for more about football, the Jupiter Uranus combination or the combination of Saturn and Pluto in Sports.
