Turbulent days with Mars inconjunct Uranus

Boris Johnson was appointed as Foreign Secretary and booed in the European parliament, the place where they don’t like jokes about themselves. I would have loved to see him shake hands with one of the once upon a time offended PM. Just see the color horoscope on Astro.com. It says that he is easily hurt, even though he has a stubborn strong character. Do I see Eris on the horizon? She is perfectly prominent in the chart of the man who knows how to start a fire. The ‘calling’ (=not narrowly aspected) Mercury points at the tendency to use words and for being the messenger in the 9th house of foreign affairs. Mercury rules the 9th house and is in the 9th. He seems to be born for it! Even his natal Sun is in the right sign for messages (Gemini) and in the 9th for ‘abroad’.

His Ascendant receives a transit of Neptune (inconjunct) for uncertain times and a lot of negative responses.
Transit Jupiter square his important Mercury and inconjunct natal Pholus mirror a turning point #plans and ideas.

THERESA MAY
How about Theresa May, the new PM. When I first saw her on TV I said that she might be fit for that job. Maybe it is her ‘royal’ Moon in Leo? Or could it be Sun/Moon midpoint conjunct Jupiter (increasing the motivation)? I tried a chart for 6 a.m. and it looks like this:

With Sun and Venus opposition Eris she might see a lot of jealousy. I like the Pholus opposition Midheaven aspect (for the turning point in her career) and I am curious about the narrow Saturn square Pluto. What difficulties will she meet and what attitude will come back like a boomerang? She started to fire members of the earlier government…

NICE
It was also the week of Nice. Everywhere when people come together to have fun, the less funy side of Islam comes to end it. The attack at 22h23 local time was with Mars conjunct Moon, both exactly inconjunct Uranus and Eris. The message in the chart was that there could be terror, accidents and war. Just see the examples on this site and on Astromarkt.
The combination of Mars and Uranus is that of the quick result and the short fuse and the fighters for freedom (in their own eyes perhaps). It is not fate that does it, however. It is what a person’s community and situation does with such an aspect combination. Instead of using it for terror acts, it could be used to drive hard and fast (and risk accidents). In the chart of the terror act of Nice, the Ascendant is in Aquarius, Uranus is ruler 1 and Uranus is connecting Sun and Mars.
Here is the chart:

TURKEY
Then came the coup in Turkey, exactly with a combination of Sun, Mars and Uranus in aspect. Any inconjunct or quincunx points at a wrong moment for something (in this case for rebellion). Here you see the chart:

I hope for a better week coming and wish you all safety, freedom and nice persons around you.

A battle and an Oscar winning star at July 1, 1916

With Uranus so close at the possible degrees of the UK Ascendant, Jessica Adams expected a Brexit (see the interesting article at http:/www.jessicaadams.com/2016/02/22/how-astrology-predicts-a-brexit/ ) and she was right. Uranus, however, comes with surprises. Maybe that is why millions of young Brittons demonstrated their wish to Bremain, why Boris Johnson suddenly decided not to be a candidate for the job of Prime Minister, and why Farrage told the people that he didn’t mean exactly what he said. On June 25 I tweeted that there is a chance that Uranus could turn the switch off again, as it is Uranus. Any way, don’t expect orderly processes with Uranus involved.

On the first of July 1916 the Battle at the Somme (a river in France) took the lives of thousands (and in the end even 1 million) of young soldiers. They fought in the mudd. May I recommend this movie just to make you feel the atmosphere? It is https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Un_long_dimanche_de_fiançailles

Here is the chart of the hour of the battle starting. Watch Uranus.

You immediately see the Yod on the horizon with Uranus in the 8th house of life and death inconjunct the Moon conjunct Saturn in 12. The houses are not pleasant and neither is the inconjunct. Saturn inconjunct Uranus points at blokkades and limited freedom. Mars-Uranus combinations warn for the risk of getting hurt or wounded. The Ascendant in Cancer with Moon in 12 shows a tendency of sacrifices.
That is what you see when you look at this chart as the chart of a battle.

On July 1916 Olivia de Havilland was born and she is still alive. There aren’s episodes of wounds in her life. Perhaps she had beauty surgery, I don’t know, but apparently she is OK.

The same characteristics that don’t favor an attack, helped her in her carreer: stubborness and ambition. She married twice and divorced twice. Now let’s see in what way her chart and the chart of the Somme are different.

Her’s has Ruler 1 in 9 conjunct MC (that is usually a positive sign).
The Ruler 1 of the Battle was Moon in 12, remember?

Lots of astrologers feel that the 5th and 9th are lucky houses (like the one’s Mrs de Havilland has) and 8 and 12 are the houses that you won’t want to live inJ

It is so clear that you immediately see the differences between the chart of the Battle and that of Mrs de Havilland, who won Oscars.

Every chart has to be seen in the light of the circumstances. To start a battle with Neptune in the first house and so many inconjuncts and placements in 12 and an Apex in 8 is not recommended. It was one of the most bloody battles ever for both sides. The beautiful movie star had better placements and of course a better start than in a muddy field with 50% chance to loose your life. Still I wonder in what way the Yod manifested in her life. Anyone? I guess that nobody would have expected that the battle would take so many lives and that nobody would have thought that Mrs de Havilland would be such a star. That is what Uranus does: surprise and shock you.

On happy houses and Transit Uranus square Sun/Moon

Real happy houses:), in Braunschweig Germany

ON HAPPY HOUSES
Recently I tried to verify the meaning of houses and rulers. Are they telling is something about a situation? Here is an example.

Someone close who had hot water over him with transit Uranus opposition Sun has a Uranus ruling the happy 5th house and Uranus sits in the 9th. In Indian astrology the 5th and 9th are the happy houses. (Maybe that helped, but who really verifies that?). He would have been more lucky if the water had fallen the other way.

EXPERIENCE: MY TRANSIT URANUS SQUARE SUN/MOON
See the September 6 post about Neptune conjunct my Ascendant (and Uranus square my Sun/Moon), both exact on September 4 and you may see that transits of Uranus are alarming, but what happens is not necessarily happening to you.

Here is another reminder of that fact:
  • On August 31, 2012 I tweeted:
"Transit Uranus exactly semisquare progressed sun and I had an alarming call today: mother broke hip."
That moment certainly changed my way of life. She never recovered completely.
Uranus works like an alarm bell ringing. And my Uranus is co-ruler of 12 and in the 5th, with transit Uranus in the 1st house, in both cases.

Now how to get that lucky 5th house interpreted?

The Leo Astrologer: Alan Leo and A.T. Mann

Every month I write about an astrologer's chart. Now it is time for the chart of a Leo astrologer and for an answer to the questions: Where is the astrologer in the chart?
One of the books of A.T.Mann
Alan Leo is a Leo astrologer who 'gave us' sun sign astrology. I wrote about him before , related to the sun sign hoax of 2011.
A.T. (Tad) Mann is a contemporary astrologer born with Sun in Leo. He published his chart for August 18, 1943 at 15:03 EWT Auburn NY USA. (Astrodienst uses 15:05) Here it is. It is an astrologer's chart:).

JUPITER-URANUS
Jupiter-Uranus combinations are frequent and often important in the charts of astrologers, astronauts and some modern popes. Astrologer Mann has a prominent Jupiter-Uranus, too.

Jupiter+Uranus=helicopter view (see the article on Astromarkt).
This chart has Jupiter sextile Uranus and the midpoint Jupiter/Uranus is semi square natal Sun. Jupiter rises before the Sun (the international, the guide). Uranus is angular, on the Descendant. That means that Jupiter and Uranus are important.
There is even more Jupiter-Uranus: Venus is novile Jupiter and bi septile Uranus.

PALLAS for patterns
I like to point at Sun trine Pallas (inconjunct Midheaven). Pallas is square MC in the chart of Tycho Brahe (that you see here http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2008/12/astrology-chart-tycho-brahe-ceres-and.html ). Patterns (related patterns) are important in astrology.

VENUS for style
Tad Mann is also an architect and designer. Venus (style) is conjunct Midheaven and quindecile Moon (in a wider opposition with Neptune). That is the pattern of artistic talents that we see more on Art&Astrology.

In what way does a Leo help astrology? I think that one of the way that Tad Mann helps, is by visualizing the solar system patterns, like here http://atmann.net/artdesign.htm#sss
linking them to the concept 'so above, so below'...

Another lucky winner's chart

Like a lot of people I’m interested in lottery winners and their charts. Not just to see if I make a chance, but also to see what their charts have in common. I have already studied a few of these charts (see Astromarkt: http://www.astromarkt.net/astrology-and-winning-lottery.html) and I noticed that there are a number of similarities in the natal charts of lottery winners. The most important was that they all have midpoint - or aspect combinations of Sun, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune. As Jupiter-Uranus is the combination of the sudden windfall, this must be the key aspect. Jupiter-Neptune is the combination of speculations. And that is not all. A lucky fixed star and a lot of trines complete the picture.

This new lucky lottery winner’s chart was provided by Astro.com and has an A-rating. We see the same kind of combinations in the natal chart as in the charts of the earlier study. Have a look:

1. Just like the other winners he has a Jupiter-Uranus-Neptune combination (Sun square Jupiter and square Uranus and biquintile Neptune). This is a combination for those with hope, believing in sudden change. Probably that is what it takes to buy a ticket!

2. There is more. He has a prominent Mars in Sagittarius (opposition Midheaven), mirroring the Mars-Jupiter aspects of the other lucky winners (a positive attitude?).

3. Also, ruler 5 (Saturn) is in the 9th house. The combination of the houses 5 and 9 are just as lucky as the combination of Sun and Jupiter. This relationship between 5 and 9 is important. On the day of the lottery transit Jupiter on the 5-9 Saturn resonated the natal lucky position.

And I like to add that the midpoint Jupiter/Uranus is square the midpoint Quaoar/Pholus. This happens to all persons born in the same week and can’t be more than an addition. More individual: Venus/Jupiter midpoint on Midheaven promises social advancement.

On the lucky day we see more than just one lucky aspect! Here they are:

1. A 5-9 houses combination
Transit Jupiter was conjunct ruler 5, Saturn. Remember that the 9th and 5th houses are the lucky houses? The fifth house is the house of games! This is the transit that resonated the natal 5-9 relationship.

2. A Uranus influence for surprising change
2 a Transit Uranus opposition the progressed AC/MC: surprise, excitement!

2.b Progressed AC/MC = natal Sun/Moon to indicate an important development regarding motivation and life style.

2.c Transit Uranus is also opposition Sun/Moon (an indication of sudden change).

3. Joy!
Transit Venus and transit Jupiter were inconjunct Moon to indicate an extreme joy. Transit Neptune trine Moon makes it a fairy tale lucky moment.

4. More change…
Transit Pholus inconjunct MC and semi sextile Moon: a joyful turning point that completely alters the position.

5. More fortune and joy…
5.a Progressed Jupiter square the Sun (on his way): fortune ahead…

5.b Progressed Sun 75 degrees from Venus is a minor aspect that tells us about a wish coming true.

6. He won on a day with transit Sun opposition his Jupiter (oh happy dayJ.

There are even more aspects, but it seems enough to mention the above.

So, you have to have a lucky natal chart AND lucky transits/progressions. And that's not all. In order to win millions you need to buy a ticket at the right moment. This lucky winner did that. That makes him what he is: a lucky winner.

PS Now I wonder about partners winning a lottery. Does it take two lucky winners’ charts and two very fortunate progressed charts and transits if you are married? Because if one chart is up and the other one is down (read that post...) how can they both be lucky winners...

Julia Gillard and the hour of birth

Corrected h.o.b. for Julia Gillard with Sun on AC when she became the PM

With reference to the post about the elections in Australia, and with many thanks for the mail:) here is the possible chart of Julia Eileen Gillard WITH hour of birth (according to a friend of her mother she was born at noon).
A birth around noon with Uranus in the ninth house would be in line with the fact that she was born in a Baptist family and says not to believe in a god. Uranus in the ninth is often the indication for another religion or belief than the parents had.

To see the explanation of the  corrected 11:52 a.m. chart by Alice Portman, click here...http://aliceportman.com/?p=959 . She used the emigration to Australia at age 4 to correct the chart. This corrected chart has the Progressed Sun on the Ascendant on June 24,, when Julia Gillard became the Australian PM!
Possible birth chart of Julia Gillard with transits and progressions for June 24, when she became the PM
HOW ABOUT YOUR CHART CORRECTION?
A corrected chart is a chart with an estimated hour of birth based upon the correspondence between events in an individual's life, transits and progression. When there is no hour of birth available for you, you could give it a try to find a possible hour of birth. Personally, I have an offical hour of birth and my mother;s time (just 3 minutes later). I have tried to find the exact minute a few times and I ended with possible hours of birth between 12:25 and 12:45. The official time is in the middle:)!

AND THE CHART RATING ON ASTRODATABANK?
A lot of charts of VIP's are corrected or estimated charts. (Sometimes you can recognize corrected hours of birth by the minutes and seconds). That is why the work of Astrodatabank to find the true hour of birth and mention the source or controversy is so valuable and appreciated.
For example the chart of Joan of Arc, that is a DD-rated chart. An AA-rated chart is one with birth certificate in hand (like Barack Obama's chart:). A DD-rated chart has a date that is not verified. Always check the rating to see if you can use the chart as a tool for understanding and learning about transits and progressions!

Astrology chart of Bilal (Franck) Ribéry

Bilal (or Franck) Ribéry has three reasons to be 'in the news':
1. a scandal about a minor aged prostitute (while he is married with children)
2. a deserved red card (he stepped on another man's foot real hard)
3. a decision about his future with Bayern Munich (he is ready for change)
I found about 10 astrological reasons for trouble and change in the natal chart. For the list and chart scroll down. Here are some observations about the natal chart. This chart is showing the importance of women, the genetic qualities and successes, the religious change, the scars caused by an accident and ...It shows an intriguing variation of the meaning of Pholus (the Centaur who shot in his foot): to shoot using your foot...:)

CHERCHÉZ LA FEMME...
Cherchéz la femme in the chart: Moon is rising before the Sun, Venus is 'calling' (without major aspects), Ceres is on the Ascendant. Female symbols are of vital importance in this chart.
The calling Venus in Taurus is biquintile Pluto, reflecting a creative way to earn money.

GENETIC QUALITIES (CERES)
His brother is also a well known soccer (European football) player. Apparently the men have the right genetic material for this sport. Perhaps that is why we see Ceres (symbol of what you inherit) on an angle, on the Ascendant.

JUPITER/URANUS=MC=ANTARES
Indications for successes in the chart: Jupiter ruler of Midheaven square Sun/Moon (motivated for successes, travelling, the international), Jupiter on Midheaven (growing in society).
Also Midheaven = Jupiter/Uranus *)- sudden windfall- = Antares,fixed star of fame.

CONVERTED TO ISLAM (URANUS IN THE NINTH)
His Algerian wife is Muslim. Franck converted to Islam in 2002. Transits of Jupiter and Neptune (combination of religion) accompanied transits of Pluto and Pholus (for change). Uranus (in Sagittarius!) is conjunct Midheaven (and Jupiter!) in the 9th house. The position of Uranus in the 9th house is an indication for conversion in the field of conviction. (Another example is Youssouf Islam (Cat Stevens). See his chart on Art&Astrology...) The conjunction with Midheaven makes the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction important for his position in the world.

SERIOUS ACCIDENT (MARS - SATURN)
When Ribéry was 2 years old he got hurt in a car accident. The accident left him with scars on his face. I found no date of the accident.

There is a tough and difficult combination of Mars, Saturn and Pluto in his natal chart that is growing in progression and with the transits. But, Jupiter and Uranus are on Midheaven and this combination is THE reflection of 'luck' with an accident and relief. Also transit Jupiter was sextile Pholus and close to the Ascendant at the time. Progressed Mercury and Mars were square natal Lilith and opposition transit Pluto (Mercury conjunct Mars).

PHOLUS RISING BEFORE THE SUN
Just like in the chart of Dick Advocaat, I see an important Pholus (conjunct the Sun). Football is about shooting and feet and so is Pholus:). Pholus is the object of orientation in this chart.

LIST OF TRANSITS AND PROGRESSIONS
- transit Pluto conjunct progressed Midheaven
- transit Pluto sesquisquare progressed Mars
- transit Saturn sesquisquare progressed Sun
- transit Uranus semi square progressed Sun
(- transit Neptune 75 degrees progressed Sun)
- transit Neptune on his AC/MC for the scandal
- progressed Moon square natal Saturn and conjunct Lilith (Saturn is square Lilith in the natal chart)
- transit Lilith square Venus
Saturn is about separations and endings, Saturn-Uranus about wanting to break free and Pluto is so challenging and intense that he often causes stress. The Mars-Pluto combination is perhaps reflecting the fact that he has to defend himself in the prostitute case (the girl was not 18 yet, but he didn't know).

Nicer transits are:
- transit Jupiter sextile Venus
- transit Pholus sextile Ascendant
There is an opportunity for celebrations and for a turning point in his situation. And if this h.o.b. is correct, the progressed Midheaven is now in hard aspect with Jupiter/Pluto (for a lot of profit).

*)JUPITER/URANUS
PS The ninth house is the house of Jupiter/Sagittarius. Astrologers always have Jupiter-Uranus combinations prominently in their charts. As astrology is the sort of conviction that you learn (and usually is not thought at young age) you could consider the Jupiter-Uranus connection with astrology as the reflection of a conversion of conviction. See the labels for more.

The sunshine sunsign holiday guide

Was your holiday perfect? Or do you wonder where to go next time? Here is the astrological sun sign sunshine guide to help you on the way...Try to have a mix of the signs of the Sun, Moon, Ascendant and perhaps Venus, too, for you and your fellow travelers. Also consider the position of Jupiter in the chart! You find the info that you need on www.astro.com (free charts).
Check your sign...

Aries and Mars: activity, walking, biking, working...They need something to do! I know an Aries who insist to have active holidays. His Capricorn Ascendant leads him to mountain sides...

Taurus and Venus: lazy holidays, art and culture (drawing, painting), it is important for them to have good meals. I know a Taurus who doesn't leave without a bag full of food.

Gemini and Mercury: interesting places, trips with young folks, short trips and city trips, learning a foreign language abroad. It is important to have contact and often they need a dance floor or a dancing nearby.

Cancer and Moon: simple, not expansive and like at home (in a tent, caravan or in the house of relatives), back to the spot of last year again...Or why not stay at home or buy a home in another country (to feel at home wherever you are...). The Netherlands is a Cancer country with the highest number of caravans pro family in the world...

Leo and Sun: wants to have a party, glamour hotels and certainly not in a modest tent. Wants sunshine! Leo Ascendants like to give

Virgo and Mercury: useful trips to decent spots and virgin beaches, but why not to Switzerland (Virgo country)?

Libra and Venus: nice holidays with some luxury and comfort in beautiful areas.

Scorpio and Pluto: wild country sides, rough terrain, the challenging holiday, trips that require force or courage.

Sagittarius and Jupiter: country life (or on the balcony), exotic countries, educational trips or some place to brag about.

Capricorn and Saturn: climbing mountains, cold places, economic (...) holidays, crossing borders.

Aquarius and Uranus: group travel or with friends, city trips, something extraordinary or special (that no one else did before:), trip around the world.

Pisces and Neptune: swimming, sailing, cruises, indulging holidays but also: the trip to an isolated convent and ...going far, far away.

Signs and the position of Jupiter or placements in the houses of the movable signs (3, 6, 9, and 12) contain information about your preferences on vacation. I, for example, have Sun in Sagittarius, Moon in Aquarius and Pisces Ascendant conjunct Jupiter in 12. I am not surprised that I need to have at least a few days by or on the sea to feel that I hád a holiday. And when I have a holiday, I love to see cities, too.
I know a Capricorn boy who swears that he always wants to go to the mountains (ain't no mountain high enough!) and a Leo who refuses to sleep in a tent. How about you?

WHERE IS JUPITER?
Jupiter in 1: you could go alone or at least: find out how and what all by yourself (so you don't need this guide:)

Jupiter in 2: expenditure and value are important.

Jupiter in the houses 3, 4, 7 or 11: you prefer to go with others (family, friends) or others stimulate you to travel. While on your holiday spot, you want to have contact with other tourist or the locals.

Jupiter in 5: the pleasure of the kids is important, but... you love to travel a lot always.

Jupiter in 6: you need a purpose for a trip abroad and hygiene.

Jupiter in 8: risky and dangerous challenging trips...

Jupiter in 10: trips for your reputation or for your career or status

Jupiter in 12: going somewhere distant, incognito and whit a lot of privacy.

Right?

Of course there is more in the chart to help you select your (almost) perfect vacation. Here are some famous examples of the observations that you might take into consideration (like the ninth house, the house of traveling):

Michael Palin (the well known globetrotter) has Mars in the ninth house (work related journeys) and Jupiter in 12 in Cancer (distant travels but in a trusted environment). The ruler of Mars is Neptune in 3. The connection between the houses 3 and 9 is indicating education or publicity. It is very important to impress or be impressed (Pluto conjunct de Leo Ascendant). I wonder where he goes for holidays. I assume it will be in a secret place (12th house Jupiter) on a country side (Taurus Moon and Sun).

Princess Máxima of The Netherlands likes to make short trips to cities (Milano; Moon in Aquarius in 3). When she has a long stay abroad, she wants privacy (Jupiter in 12 in Sagittarius; she and her husband Prince William-Alexander sue AP for making pictures of them while they were skiing in Argentina) and goes far away, to exotic places (like Africa). With Neptune ruler 4 in 12 she lives in another continent since her marriage.

Agatha Christie loved to travel and she had Jupiter in the 5th house.

Angelina Jolie has Jupiter on Midheaven and the Moon in the 9th house of international traveling. She has houses (Moon) all over the world.

PS Maybe you developed a different style of traveling? Have a look at your progressive Sun sign, too, to see why. I for example had the progressed Sun in Capricorn since I was 10. The first trip that I booked was to the French Alps. (I wonder if I will do cruises only when the progressed Sun changes sign to Pisces:)

Whatever you do and wherever you go: take care and have a nice holiday to look forward to!
