You know that Mars is square Pluto and sextile Jupiter today?
These transits of Mars, Pluto and Jupiter hit my midpoint Sun/Moon*). That is giving a whole lot of energy and drive. This aspect combination said: you are motivated (Sun/Moon) by an enormous amount of energy or ... work.
My Sun/Moon is conjunct Ceres (nutrition). So those transits of Mars and Pluto and Jupiter also hit my Ceres. I happened to be angry about an overload of mistakes by care takers of my mother. Imagine: they gave her a wheel chair that was too high and 4 persons didn't notice that her feet were 4 feet above the floor! That is just one thing...
OK...
Maybe I simply had an overdose of caffeine. I had 4 cups and chocolate, too, today. This is what an overdose does on spiders' webs:
CERES
This seems to be a good moment to tell you about Sun/Moon = Ceres. You see:
Sun/Moon = Venus is motivated by kindness,
Sun/Moon = Mars is motivated by work or sex,
Sun/Moon = Mercury is motivated by words and plans,
Sun/Moon = Jupiter is motivated by coaches or wise words coming from a doctor or minister, Sun/Moon = Saturn is motivated by parents and ambition,
Sun/Moon = Uranus is motivated by change and turning worlds upside down,
Sun/Moon = Neptune is motivated by dreams and ideals or art,
Sun/Moon = Pluto is motivated by values, power and authorities, but
Sun/Moon = Ceres is motivated by the goddess of motherly care, nutrition and seeds or genes.
Let us say that you have to give me something to eat or drink if you want something done:). It is also true that I noticed that I like taking care of someone. (I should get a pet!)
ANGER
If I was an athlete, I would be happy today. Mars = energy!
Now I got angry! And I had every right to be angry! I had a very good reason to be angry! You know that song 'I am mad again'? If not, check YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpXPcnKWztU
I felt a bit like that, even though I had no friend who was messing around with anyone I love. It is over now. I am a MADame again. I even remained polite!
Don't worry!:) Transits get bye..
*)Transit Mars in Aries is square my Sun/Moon. Transit Pluto is conjunct my Sun/Moon. Transit Jupiter is inconjunct my Sun/Moon. The combination of Mars, Jupiter and Pluto often helps to achieve a lot (like the laundry:).

Three steps to analyze natal charts
Using a certain self developed method helps you to analyze natal charts. I think that my method quickly shows the most important qualities of a chart. This blog is about that method. I also published it on Astromarkt.
Almost 4 years ago I published about the method in "4 steps to read a chart" and I used the chart of Sir Winston Churchill as an example. In the following years I learned, and now I use 3 (giant) step: Astro ID, character and 'special patterns'. Sometimes the first giant step is enough. Let me show you what I mean. You'll see that you get a clear picture of that difference, almost immediately.
What does the chart show us? The Astro ID…
The ID of a person describes special marks. The Astro ID is about special marks of the chart. The special position is for:
- the planet without major aspects like conjunct, sextile, trine, square and opposition within 5 degrees of orb or within sign. That planet is 'calling!' (drawing our attention and working at any possible level). The 'calling' planet is the most important prominent planet.
- angularity: the planet in a sharp and narrow angel with the Ascendant-Descendant line (conjunct, opposition or square) and the planet on Midheaven. Those are the cornerstones of the chart.
- the planet of orientation: the first (outer) planet rising before the Sun (that is the planet that you see first when you move your finger from the Sun clockwise). Skip Venus and Mercury (unless they are important because of another indication here).
There is at least one important position in your chart! If you have more than 3, it will be more difficult to focus.
HITLER: Sun and Uranus are calling, Mercury is angular = crucially rising before the Sun...That tells us that we deal with a : controversial - URANUS - communicator - MERCURY - and leader - SUN -. or someone with controversial opnions that are being noticed. Jupiter rises before the Sun. He is a controversial leader with an international orientation and oratory skills.
CARTLAND: The Astro ID shows a lot of prominent planets here, too. Venus, Jupiter and Mercury are calling! and Neptune is rising before the Sun. She has Moon, Jupiter and Saturn angular.
(You immediately see the Moon-Venus-Neptune prominence and realize that there could be some sort of artistic talent in the air, but maybe not art because there is no connection between Venus, Moon and Neptune).
Most important is Mercury-Venus-Jupiter combination 'calling', of course. It is a statement for successful and talented writing/talking, sweet stories etcetera, or for example for a popular (Venus-Jupiter) author (Mercury).
The difference between Hitler's chart and that of Barbara Cartland is obvious. The first chart shows a will to be special, a leader, someone who changes the world at any possible level. The second wants to talk or write nicely and kindly. That difference added with the circumstances (he a man, she a woman, he poor, she rich) makes a lot of difference.
!Not so well known people have important placements, too. They use them at any kind of level. The fact that their are a number of important placements doesn't always mean that the owner of that chart is a VIP. It is more that your see the main issues and the most important qualities!
Sometimes one step is enough, like with the charts of Adolf Hitler and Barbara Cartland. The first one brought us destruction and war, the other one romance... You could stop here (and come back tomorrow) because you just found the essential information in the chart. The Astro ID gave you just as much information as their official pictures do!:)

From Grace Kelly to Princess Gracia
Just read that Nicole Kidman**) will be Grace
Kelly in a movie about a political hot period (1961/1962) in Princess Gracia of
Monaco’s life. Interesting to see that Nicole has Ascendant Scorpio, just like
Grace Kelly had! That must make it easier to ‘act’ as the late Princess. You think that the Ascendant Scorpio 'shows'? Interesting besides: Nicole's progressed Sun is now exactly on the Midheaven of the natal chart of Grace Kelly. Her life is now 'connected' to Grace Kelly's.
I have written about the death of Grace Kelly *) before, but now I wanted to have another look at the chart. I wanted to see what progressions and transits and what in the natal chart lead to becoming Princess Gracia. There is an important role for the setting (women's roles, high society) and Neptune colors it. That is why I like this picture of her, dreamy and old fashioned romantic and ...classy:).
FIRST: BIRTH CHART
Every chart reading starts with the natal chart. This natal chart tells us about a talented and somewhat eccentric strong and mysterious personality with ambition. Convincing an audience (Mercury, Jupiter, Neptune) is important. She can communicate, convince and fake or believe at any possible level. She is also compliant (water signs) and not the kind of person to risk to be disinherited (Saturn). Why? Because of the chart positions.
Her birth chart in 4 steps:
1.Lots of water sign placements: they
signal a tendency to go with the flow and be sensitive. Also lots of trines. Trines and sextiles make it easy to choose the easy way (out), the most desirable social way.
Relate this to the
influence of the parents and to the historic background (women were supposed to
get married in the first place), the importance of catholicism for her parents and you will see that she must have been educated with the idea that marrying a catholic was most important.
2.Three ‘calling’ planets: they give an
impression of the vocation. Mercury, Neptune and Jupiter don’t make tight major
aspects in sign. They are ‘calling’. Mercury/Jupiter/Neptune could have made
her a convincing 'story teller'.
Jupiter-Neptune
is the combination of speculations, an audience, fans and followers, beliefs
and success as an actor. The midpoint Jupiter/Neptune is semisquare Juno
(symbol of the wedded wife). Neptune is most important because Neptune rises
before the sun.
Mercury is conjunct Chiron, but doesn’t make major aspects in sign with a light or planet. A ‘calling’ Mercury tells us about the importance of communications at any possible level. The combination of the prominent
3. Scorpio/Pisces and Neptune/Pluto colour the chart. Sun in Scorpio and Moon in Pisces with
Scorpio Ascendant will not be very open and clear. Mystery and secret will go
hand in hand. That is also because Midheaven is conjunct the midpoint
Neptune/Pluto and they are the rulers of Sun and Moon. MC=Neptune/Pluto mirrors
the excentric or idiocyncratic personality (see this explanation: http://www.ptypes.com/idiosyncratic.html
). Sun in Scorpio trine Pluto is the tightest aspect in this chart. Notice that Neptune and Pluto are elevated.
It is hard to overlook the grand trine of Sun, Moon and Pluto (easy
transformation through intense family life or challenging marriage) and
spotlights on influence, politics, money, power and sexuality. It is the trine
of a strong personality.
Quoting
myself (http://astropost.blogspot.com/2009/04/effect-of-moon-inconjunct-pluto.html
):
Grace
Kelly had Sun and Moon trine Pluto. Her life, lifestyle and domestic
environment changed completely when she married the Prince of Monaco. That is
the transformational effect of Pluto. The trine made it easier to get used to
(Moon) the changes (Pluto). Quoting myself about Sun/Moon/Pluto combinations:
Motivated by values, policies or strategies if not force. The need to be strong and powerful or rich.
4. Moon in Pisces biquintile Venus in Libra
and Venus in Libra sextile Neptune out of sign; Neptune is ‘calling’! – no
tight major aspects in sign... That is astrological for talent! There is no
direct connection to Midheaven however, and Grace Kelly ended more famous
because of her marriage than because of her acting. found the pattern of
artistic talent.
5. Ac/MC is square Saturn in 2nd house and that tells us
that ambition is important. (‘Conservatism is comfortable’ says Noel Tyl about
this combination). Saturn is in the 2nd house of earning money. That
is where her center of gravity is. Seen as the 5th of the 10th
house, the 2nd house is the house of showing off your status and
Saturn doesn’t really show off, unless there at the saturnalia. Saturn in the 2nd
house tells us about the importance of consistency of the verb ‘to have’.
CAREER MOVES
Talent and ambition drove her to New York at young age. She left the
house of her wealthy parents to become a model and an actress in 1947. That was
with Transit Saturn and Pluto on her Midheaven, Progressed Sun trine Uranus and
transit Jupiter on her Sun.
In
1951 she had a tiny role in her first movie with progressed Midheaven conjunct
Neptune en progressed Sun conjunct Mars and …inconjunct Chiron in the seventh
house.
In 1953 she
became more known. That is after transit Jupiter opposition Sun and with Progressed Sun opposition Jupiter and square Quaoar (a bright new world).
MEN
At that time, in 1953, she was engaged to mr. Cassini, who was born
April 11, 1913. Her parents didn’t approve of marrying a non-catholic, so this
affair ended. His Sun was square her Sun/Moon (he was sort of made for her!),
but there suns were inconjunct (and that is easily creating lack of balance and a loss).
There are also
rumors about an affair with Bing Crosby in 1955.
That makes you think why she
was so fond of elderly men with a status. Venus sextile Saturn joins pleasure
and business, so maybe that is it, combined with AC/MC square Saturn in the 2nd house. Perhaps also Juno in the second house is mirroring ‘marrying money’? But she could of course
have married a young heir or a successful young actor instead. In fact she did what is supposed to be traditional for women who seek a solid basis for their children: they marry a man who is older.
MARRIAGE AND CAREER
When you are ambitious and romantic at the
same time, what is more fancy and romantic than becoming a princess? Three days
after meeting him, she sayd yes to the Prince of Monaco. His Venus conjunct her
Chiron in 7 may have healed the wounds caused by former relationships.
She married with transit Saturn conjunct progressed Venus. Transits and progression repeating a natal aspect combination are stronger than other transits and progressions are. This one was a confirmation of the mix of business, convention and love that Venus and Saturn is.
When
Rainier asked her to marry him her progressed Sun was moving towards an
opposition with Ceres (symbol of motherhood and dynasties). It was time to become a mother. Her daughter was
born 9 months after marriage. She didn’t immediately
give up on her career. That was later.
In 1956 she made her last
movie. In 1958 Albert of Monaco was born. A few months later they were in the
Ed Sullivan show and in summer she and her husband traveled in Belgium (expo)
and The Netherlands (Veere). They apparently loved to travel together and that is in line with the fact that both have an aspect between Venus and Jupiter in the natal chart.
TRANSIT NEPTUNE CONJUNCT ASCENDANT, TRANSIT PHOLUS on IC
A turning point and idealism on the horizon
In 1958/1959 Neptune on the Ascendant and
Pholus opposition MC reveal that there was a turning point in her life. Her
husband wanted her to give up acting and she also accomplished her major ‘task’ as
his wife: she gave birth to an heir. From that moment on she focused on
philantropy. She was named President of the Monaco Red Cross. It is interesting
that Neptune is the symbol of voluntary jobs and idealism (and of the movies!). The Ascendant is the
symbol of the name of a person. In 1958 a hospital was given the name of
Princess Grace.
MARRIAGE AND SOCIAL POSITION
Venus-Jupiter is the symbol of the party and the 'good marriage'. Grace Kelly's chart has Venus sesquisquare Jupiter. The midpoint Venus/Jupiter is semi square Uranus. That is maybe why she married 'well' so quickly. There is also a semi square between Juno (symbol of wedded wife) and Jupiter/Neptune. Should I read this as a fairy tale marriage? But perhaps it is better to look at Midheaven and see the sextile with Jupiter and trine with Uranus for a combination that says: sudden windfall and improvement of position. But there must be more, not? In her solar return chart for her birthday in 1955 Jupiter was conjunct Pluto and sextile natal Venus. Maybe that helped. And not to mention the Leo Midheaven. Leo is a royal sign after all:).
More about the wedding day and match on
Astrology&Love…
*) PS in short about the day of the accident, caused by a stroke: Transit Saturn was square her Sun/Moon midpoint, Progressed Mars conjunct Saturn separating and Progressed Mars and Saturn were semi square natal Sun. Mars-Saturn blocks energy, Saturn is for endings.
PPS Unlike the Sun-Saturn wives of European heirs to the throne Grace Kelly doesn't have a Sun-Saturn aspect. Or does she? There is novile between Sun and Saturn within a 1.5 degree orb.

Transits of Sun/Moon and synastry
Transits with Sun/Moon are more
important than you may realize. Try them and see. I will have many
opportunities to watch the effect, because Uranus, Jupiter and Pluto will be in
hard aspect (square, opposition and conjunct) my Sun/Moon in 2013 and 2014. I
expect this to resonate change, not just for me, but also for my husband. My Sun/Moon is square his Sun, you see…That means that he will have transit Uranus opposition Sun, when I will have Uranus square Sun/Moon. Transit Jupiter will be square his Sun and opposition my Sun/Moon. Transit Pluto will be square his Sun, when I will have Pluto conjunct Sun/Moon. Couples share things and when your Sun/Moon is in aspect with your partner his life experiences motivate and effect you. When your partner is mourning, you will also be sad. When he is happy, you are happy for him/her...When your Sun/Moon midpoint is in
aspect with your partner’s Sun (or a planet or an angle), you join your partner
in depressions and celebrations indicated by the transits on your Sun/Moon.
Transits with Sun/Moon are reflecting what is being highlighted in a certain period or what goes on in your family life. When the Sun/Moon is in hard aspect with your partner’s Sun, both of you
will see the importance of the same issue. Here are some personal experiences:
- When Jupiter was conjunct my
Sun/Moon and square my husband’s Sun, they finished a (nice) redecoration of my
house. We were both happy with it.
- Transit Uranus square my Sun/Moon
not only changed my career, but also changed the daily pattern, because my next job was in another city. That
was of course also hectic and a change for my husband (who had transit Uranus
on his Sun). It was a kind of nervous period.
- I remember December 75, Pluto
square Sun/Moon and the challenge was to buy a house with very few money to
spend. That was a challenge for my husband, too. He had Pluto conjunct his Sun.
- With both Jupiter and Saturn
square Sun/Moon we moved to another place. Together, of course. The combination of Jupiter/Saturn is frequent in times of removal or migration.
You don’t always have to share the
same feelings in the same situation. When I moved to the house that I live in
today, this wasn't accompanied by transits on Sun/Moon. That was with a wide
range of transits and one important aspect in the progressed chart that I like
to mention: Saturn trine Midheaven. That is why I haven’t moved ever since.
Saturn is for long lasting!:)
So, what to expect next? With Jupiter
and Uranus and Pluto I expect a change in career and/or living place. There might be challenges (Pluto), more or less pleasant surprises (Uranus) and we might also travel or jubilate (yes, Jupiter is the symbol of jubilation, too). I hope to
tell you about it in 2 or 3 years:) ...

Sun/Moon/Pluto midpoint combinations
Sun/Moon is the midpoint of motivations. With Pluto you are motivated by money, power, influence and the more challenging things in life (danger, life and death)...You need or live in a world of challenge and stress. Perhaps the person with Sun/Moon/Pluto combinations in the chart suffered from a traumatic event. That might cause a state of constant alert. Here are some examples:
Michael Douglas' son is in jail and his wife had therapy while he had treatment for cancer. This was indeed an intense and difficult time for him. When you were born with Sun/Moon/Pluto you might have experienced a problem at the beginning of life. The fact that you survived made you more vulnerable and yet stronger, because you value life more than others do. That is the impact of a dwarf planet, Pluto.
Also visit: Astromarkt.net for example about:
Sun - Pluto http://www.astromarkt.net/index.php?id=99
Midpoints (how and what) http://www.astromarkt.net/index.php?id=169
- Anne Frank with Sun semi square Moon/Pluto will be remembered because of the fact that she died too young in Nazi time.
- Jacqueline Kennedy with Moon square Sun/Pluto will be remembered because of the death of her young husband.
- Grace Kelly (Princess Gracia) had Sun opposition Moon/Pluto (a midpoint yod with the Sun as the apex). Her death shocked the world.
- David Koresh had Sun square Moon/Pluto.
- If the chart of Hugo Chavez is the correct chart, he has Sun/Moon with Uranus and Sun with Moon/Pluto. The Sun/Moon combination with Uranus and Pluto easily leads to radicalism. There would be a situation of stress and nervous problems, too.
- Tony Blair and Prince Andrew have Sun in hard aspect with Moon/i
- Terry Schiavo's husband has Sun sesquisquare Moon/Pluto and dealt with the tragedy of his wife's situation (in non-reversal coma and not allowed to die).
Sun/Moon and Pluto motivates by means of values, policy's or strategy, sometimes by force. The need to be strong, powerful or rich is apparent and that is because money or force could bring in vital changes. In a less extreme situation Sun/Moon/Pluto midpoint combinations are challenging for family life and marriage. Problems between man and woman could be inherent to this combination and require (at least) therapy. When Venus is part of the combination, those problems could be money problems.
I don't have a famous example of Sun/Moon with Pluto, but on Astromarkt (article about Sun/Moon, progressions and transits) you find this:
Michael Douglas has transit Pluto semi square Sun/Moon, following the transit of Saturn over Sun and Moon and midpoint Sun/Moon. We all know about his challenging period right now (trying to conquer cancer).
Pluto on Sun/Moon shows that you need strength and courage.
