Lunar eclipse tonight (and Papandreou's birthday)

There are different ways to see the eclipse of today: looking at the degrees of the eclips (25th Gemini-Sagittarius), looking at the saros serie (SS 13 South), seeing the aspects with the midpoint of Sun/Moon (square Ceres) and looking at the combination of them. This total lunar eclipse happens to be conjunct the natal sun of the Prime Minister of Greece. Now watch the sabian degrees, Ceres and SS 13 South...

The degree of the Moon at full moon is 25th Sagittarius.The Zodiac Image Handbook (by Koppejan) shows the image of a couple at the end of an exhausting party, sitting at the table with left overs and empty bottles. Janduz said that this is a degree of exaggeration. And there is another image of a rich boy on horseback (by Rudhyar and Marc E.Jones). Maybe this is the eclipse that tells us not to be carried away  by luxury? 

The Sun's degree (25 Gemini) shows the picture of on old man in a library, quite the contrary of the picture of the Moon and in line with this opposition. It is a degree of intellectual culture, says Janduz. The second image in the Zodiac Image Handbook is that of a gardener, taking care of palm trees. Culture again and cultivating. 

Eclipses come in families, says Bernadette Brady, about the Saros Cylcle (http://www.bernadettebrady.com/Pdfs/SarosCycles.pdf_ 

I bought her book'Predictive Astrology' and in that book are all eclipses in the family. The one of tonight belongs to number 13. Brady relates this family to Australia, where eclipses of this range seem to stimulate the community spirit (or stormy weather, real or in politics). 

Could the combination of the Sun-Moon opposition and eclipse mean: A joint effort to reconsider, cultivate and stop spending too much? Or is it more so that the controversy between intellectual cultivation and 'having a party' will be highlighted these days? When the earth darkens the moon, maybe it is time to stop dreaming and see the world from another perspective (as a shadow on the moon). 

And, would it just be coincidence that George Papandreou, PM of Greece (in debt, asking for monetary support by the EU, see the news about the strikes*): http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/jun/15/greece-anti-austerity-strike) was born on June 16, 1952 with the Sun in the 25th of Gemini? His birthday tomorrow will highlighted by this eclipse! I don't know if that means that it will be a happy birthday. But I know that the images of the Zodiac Image book and the meaning of SS13 are corresponding with his dilemma. And there is even more...

Chart of Ruud Gullit mirrors being fired

Ruud Gullit (true name: Rudi Dil) was fired today. He was the coach of Terek Grozny and before of LA  Galaxy. Now the team of Terek Grozny lost for the xth time and that was it...An impressive list of aspects (transits and progressions), including some classical astrological indications for being fired, accompany the event. Recently someone close lost his job with Transit Uranus inconjunct MC and Transit Saturn conjunct Progressed MC, followed by transit Neptune opposition Midheaven. When there are three of such transits and your job was already at risk, don't be surprised  (but you will be, because it is Uranus transit:) if you get fired. Football coaches are always blamed for the failing team (that seems to be part of the job), so it is a risky job. With this list of 10 transits and progressions, it is even more risky. Gullit, like many coaches, has a Sun-Pluto aspect in the natal chart. Now, in the progressed chart, there is Sun semi square Pluto. Such a period is full of stress and challenges, even worse when there is a natal Sun-Pluto combination, but...., isn't stress an intrinsic value in the life of a football coach?  PS Why football? Maybe because both Mars and Pholus are in aspect with Midheaven? Pholus hit his foot, Mars is the symbol of competition. And why success? Sun is opposition Jupiter and conjunct Pluto. Quoting myself: Sun/Jupiter/Pluto combinations enlarge the ego and challenge you to grow, have success, be ' great' and go for it. You want to be impressive and you will be! With this combination you have an intense self confidence and more self esteem (or influence and power) than others do. DOB's of Kirsan Iljumzhinov and Muammar Gaddafi, playing chess

He just played chess with Muammar Gaddafi, he claims to have met aliens on his balcony and for almost a decade (since April 12, 1993)  he was the President of Kalmykia (part of the Russian Federation: that is Kirsan Ilyumzhinov (Кирса́н Никола́евич Илюмжи́нов), born April 5, 1962 in Elista at ??? hour. The chart says that he has Sun biquintile Pluto (perhaps illustrating the creative talent to be an authority). With Venus sextile Jupiter he likes the nice sides of life. , but he is first of all a driven person, an activist, a fighter, a promotor (of chess and religion). The fact that he is an Aries with Moon in Aries and is Mars 'calling and rising before the Sun fuels this chart. Ilyumzhinov is certainly not stupid, see Wikipedia  and he is very rich, too. He benefitted from the rise of the new Russian economy (watch Jupiter/Pluto semi square Quaoar and Venus in Taurus sextile Jupiter). 

MERCURY+PLUTO: mental strategy

What is interesting in his chart is, that there are just a few narrow aspects and mostly minor aspects. Mercury doesn't make any aspect at all. Mercury is the symbol of communications and language. He speaks several languages. Pluto also doesn't make a major aspect within orb 5 degrees. That makes Pluto special. Pluto is the symbol of power, strength, values and intensity or authority. With Mercury and Pluto 'calling' mental strategy is 'calling'. Chess is one of the fields to use that ability.Politics is another one. Don't ask me why he claims to have seen aliens. Maybe that is part of the strategy, too? 

NOT ENEMIES...

Gadaffi (born June 7, 1942) might have the Moon in Aries, too. Lots of friends have the Moon in the same sign (see Astromarkt...). Having the Moon in the same sign makes you feel at home. But...Is this Gadaffi's real day of birth? In that case, the Suns of the men are sextile. Both have Venus in Taurus (they like each other and have the same sort of preferences and hobbies: Venus conjunct Venus). And that explains, perhaps...

Nafissatour Diallo, astrology and DSK

The website African Success published the birth data of Nafissatou Diallo. She is the chamber maid of Sofitel NY who accuses Dominique Strauss Kahn of sexual assault committed on May 4 this year when she wanted to clean his room. What I like about the chart of Diallo is the Moon in Virgo. It is so typical basic astrology for a maid to have the Moon in the efficient, clean and service minded sign of Virgo! The interaction between the astrological positions on the day of birth of Diallo (January 17, 1979) and Strauss-Kahn is amazing, too. Transits, progressions and synastry aspects are resonating natal positions, like Mars-Uranus and Mars-Saturn. There is a correspondence with the case of MJ's doctor. 

SATURN-SUN

Coincidently (?) her Progressed Sun is conjunct the natal Saturn of DSK. In the case of the doctor of Michael Jackson there is also such a synastry. The Progressed Sun of MJ was conjunct the Saturn of the doctor when Michael Jackson died. NATAL SYNASTRY (Mars-Pluto)

The synastry between the chart of DSK and the position on the day of birth of Nafissatou Diallo is interesting. There are at least 6 important interactions:

• Her Jupiter is square his Sun (and that is a matter of trust and/or support)
• Her Sedna (symbol of the daughter in a difficult relationship with the father) is conjunct his Sun
• Her Pluto is opposition his Sun/Moon and that is the symbol of difficulties and challenges in the relationship between them.
• Her Mars is tightly square his and that is for fire (and fighting)
• Her Mars is inconjunct his Uranus (extraordinary excitement and impatience)His Mars is sextile Uranus (in his natal chart). Her Mars is in minor aspect with Uranus (67.5 degrees, sesquisemisquare). The Mars-Uranus inconjunction between them sort of re-mirrors the short fuse. Johann Calvin and his opponent Michael Servetus shared a Mars-Uranus aspect. Servetus (Mars inconjunct Uranus) was killed, Calvin was responsible. They had a controversy...

TRANSITS AND PROGRESSIONS OF DIALLO

1. You see above that her Mars and Pluto are part of the synastry. (her Mars square his Mars and her Pluto in aspect with his Sun/Moon). On the day of the incident transit Pluto was semi square her Mars. 

The combination Mars-Pluto is the combination of the use and abuse of power and violence (or suffering from it).

2. Her progressed Sun changed sign and so did her life and lifestyle...From unknown servant to famous violated woman.

3. Transit Neptune will be conjunct her  Progressed Sun from the weeks after the arrest until in February of 2012. It is the symbol of the press, the media, gossip and being isolated. 

NATAL POSITIONS OF DIALLO

The Sun in Capricorn and Moon in Virgo in combination with Mercury trine Saturn and the woman's position in society (!) is reflecting the importance of duty and serving. 

The Mars-Saturn-Sun combination is reflecting the difficulties with men (and the little jobs in order to stay alive without having a man). It is often not a very pleasant combination and points at working hard and discipline or restrictions. 

SHARING MARS-SATURN

DSK has Mars trine Saturn , the chamber maid has Mars sesquisquare Saturn. The two share a Mars-Saturn aspect that is already difficult in a 'normal' relationship. I quote Astromarkt about sharing aspects like Mars-Saturn:

Mars-Saturn: working hard together as long as possible (like Queen Elisabeth and her late mother), sharing the same frustrations, not much fun (unless there are other indications). This aspect might indicate a lack of shared activities.

Transit Saturn was quindecile his Mars when DSK was stopped at the airport. This transit meant the end of his job, too.

Venus, Mars and Uranus in midpoint and aspect combinations

When Venus and Mars meet, there is passion. When Venus is with Uranus, there is a sudden 'hyper' love. When Mars is with Uranus there is a sudden drive and action on impulse. So: Venus, Mars and Uranus together are the symbol of sudden passions and adventures or acting on impulse when attracted to someone. Maybe this doesn't always have to show up like it does in the chart of Anthony Weiner (tight combination of Venus conjunct Mars, both semi square Uranus) or that of Ryan Giggs (tight combination of Mars opposition Uranus and square Venus. But it often does. Nevertheless there are other ways to mirror Venus-Mars-Uranus than 'strongly passionate excitability: beauty surgery or giving birth - maybe with the help of certain techniques (but than you have another gender, of course). 


The tension of Venus-Mars-Uranus is in the sexual interaction. Mars-Uranus makes it difficult for men to stay with one woman. Venus-Uranus is one of the risky aspects in the charts of women when it comes to marriage.
