Color horoscope for Bill Cosby and Prince Philip

I like the color horoscope (free try out version of Astro.com) and I want to tell you about it. I added the picture of a kaleidoscope. Just like with computer horoscopes, you may wonder what the REAL picture is. Computer horoscopes are (sometimes free) compositions of signs, positions and aspects in a row. They seem to fit, but often fail when you do it for another person and another one. With so many possible notions the computer horoscope is often a 'one size fits all' and one size doesn't really fit, always. The color horoscope of Astro.com is one that I like. At least: I like the short free version (I haven't tried the complete one). It is because of the 'Roles you play' and 'Background' part. I'll show you why and I'll also show you why it doesn't fit all. Computer horoscopes sometimes help you to 'see the picture' and sometimes they just give a bunch of contradicting texts. This part, if you are ready to include the context (social circumstances, gender, genes, the whole picture), helps to see a character.

Today is Bill Cosby's birthday. Transit Uranus is square his Sun now that he is in the news in a negative way and Transit Uranus will be back in 2016. In his solar return chart, Sun square Uranus tells us about a hectic and nervous year. Here is the natal chart with transits and progressions for July 8.

I used 11:54 a.m. (Progressed Venus conjunct MC at marriage in 1964). That gives Ixion a special place. Ixion is also on the midpoint Venus/Pluto. Soon after 1964 the abuse began and progressed Sun was semi square Ixion. Right now, progressed Sun is almost exactly conjunct Saturn (a time to face the facts). I had to use A time because you can't try out the color horoscope without hour of birth. I didn't use the times mentioned on Astro. com, because they come from 1 source and don't give any appropriate data for 1964. So this is a guess chart. The color horoscope mention for 'Roles you play' and 'Background':

• Desirous
• Looking for support
• Searching for pleasure
• Interested
• Lack of self-confidence

2x desire/pleasure, 2x seeking contact, 1x lack of self confidence. It sounds like a person who is eager for pleasure and good in communications, but who doesn't believe in the results and perhaps that is why he used drugs to 'conquer' the women he abused. But (#kaleidoscope) you can also get the picture of a very nice social person, like the father in the TV series.

They say that you can have it your way with any computer horoscope, but this one at least doesn't 'sound' like the chart of a violent or super cool and controlled person. I did my chart and those of others and yes: you see (part of a) character, but what you do with that character ... nobody knows. It depends on the rest of the chart and ... on the background. Bill Cosby couldn't do what he did if he wasn't famous, powerful and popular. We wouldn't even look at his chart:). 

Now how about the chart of Prins Philip. If he wasn't the husband of the Queen of England,we wouldn't mind what he says or does, but we do. 

PRINS PHILIP AND COLORHOROSCOPE

Prins Philip, we know, is rather rude. There is a whole list of unwanted and political incorrect public communication on the net. He always knows how to hurt someone. But when you use the color horoscope, you get 'sensitive' twice! That is because the computer horoscope didn't include the fact that both Mercury and Mars are Out of Bounds and that Mercury is angular. That is how the computer missed the sharp (Mars) tongue (Mercury)! The color horoscope also mentions 'Center of attention' and 'Manipulation' ...Anyway, try yours and see!

Why try it? Well, I like that color horoscope. It is fun. I realize that the try out version is not the complete version and that computer horoscopes (as 'they' are afraid of skipping something important) mention too much always and forget about the 'main picture). Still, there is something about it...And no, they don't pay me to tell you this.

Marine Le Pen, Jean-Marie Le Pen: it is all about Uranus

Uranus is the symbol of independence and all that is new, like introductions. Sun-Uranus aspects often signal the outsider or the ‘black sheep’. Uranus is also the symbol of nervous change and controversy. With that in mind, it is no surprise that French politician Marine Le Pen now wants her father (founder of the party) to leave after his controversial remarks about the holocaust. Their charts are hit by Uranus right now.

MARINE

Marine Le Pen has Sun semi square Uranus, to be interpreted as  a rather frustrated will to be free and independent AND being controversial (as a leader of Front National, a right wing party). Often, Sun-Uranus is reflecting separation, from the father, or the husband. She divorced twice.

Why now?

Her progressed Sun was conjunct her natal Uranus 2.5 years ago, when the confrontations with her father started to emerge. Her progressed Sun was also square his natal Sun then, so that he was ‘in the picture’.

Transit Uranus is on her Descendant now (freedom from others, liberation).

So, it is time to become independent now. How about her father?

JEAN-MARIE

His Progressed Sun is now exactly quindecile (165d) Uranus, mirroring a strong focus on independence and freedom as well as an obsessive way to show indepence. There is also a conjunction with natal Ixion, so that there is spotlight on issues of being grateful and guests and ‘bad guys’ (or being seen as one).

SYNASTRY

Why does this happen between the two of them?

The Sun of father Jean-Marie is exactly square her Uranus.

In her eyes (Sun) he is unpredictable. So even though he introduced her in the party, she may find it time to be free.

URANUS

So it is all about Uranus, the controversial, the outsider, the liberation, the independent and the free. He wants to be independent and express his ideas. She wants to be liberated from a father whose ideas are not just controversial but also limit the possible amount of voters. Again, Uranus is the master of chaos, alienation (estrangement) and a lot of nervous fuss.

CharlieHebdo charts

Here is the chart of France (5th Republic, source Astrodatabank) with transit Uranus square natal Sun, mirroring the shocking state of the nation (and waking up the hard way, perhaps) following the brutal murders in the office of CharlieHebdo that made millions (and me) sad and angry. It was not the first terrorist attack in Europe. Madrid and London came first. It wasn't the first time that cartoonists in Europe were the target of terrorists. Denmark was first (see 'Birth chart of a cartoonist in danger'). The attempt to kill free speech in Europe started with Salmon Rushdie. After the brutal murder on Theo van Gogh (see post), threats for not welcome plays, movies or expositions in the eyes of islamists, anxious political correctness and the coming up of IS, it was quite clear that more was to come. Is it strange that now that Saturn entered Sagittarius, that this limited freedom of speech is the issue today?

In France, there were a number of attacks (some with cars) before, and the authorities stated that the men who committed these crimes were isolated lone wolves with psychological problems. Maybe the two brothers could be considered insane as well. They think that hurt feelings  - when their religion is involved - are a license to kill. They believe that their religion allows or even supports this and I am afraid that there are a couple of thousands like them.

Here you see the charts of the moment of the attack with (in transit) the positions on the days of birth of the two murderous brothers. It seems that their parents left them at a very young age. In the chart of the brothers, Sun-Uranus (major and minor aspect) tells us about possible alienation. They sure isolated themselves in the eyes of the majority, on January 7.

There is a Mars-Uranus connection in one of the terrorists' charts. I like to point at the fact that most of the terrorists' charts that I know of contain such a connection, as you can see on my site Astromarkt. Maybe, in case of restricted budgets, secret services could start to follow up on guys (and girls) with such a Mars-Uranus issue, because they are the front liners and the one with the short fuses. I wish that I was brave enough to be Charlie. I am not. I am anonymous and I always weigh my words carefully in spite of my Mercury opposite Uranus, because I am aware of the dangers. There is already such an amount of political correctness and fear in Europe, that in my opinion, freedom of speech has house arrest and will have to be strong to defend itself. The CharlieHebdo crew must have (had) special courage and special drives to dare to shock (and amuse) their public. It is in the nature of a cartoonist to walk on the edge, always. But it's only in the last decades that this might cost them their lives. This attack fuels the already existing tension in Europe. Politicians are afraid of what will happen next and hurry to tell us that we must not be scared. Paris is far far away?

Life went on after 911, after London, after Madrid and nothing much changed except that columnists, cartoonists, cabaretiers and journalist have more and more turned to political correctness, because they love life. Let's hope, that just like in the books of Tolkien, the monsters will be defeated and we can all go back to our garden of flowers as usual, until the next attack. Will we have to get used to this, like in the Middle East, in Nigeria, in Syria? Does this really 'awake' us?

The sixties are past and gone. It seems like there is no more 'Age of Aquarius' (you know the song?) dawning (or has it started in March 2012, read this...).  It looks more like a decline, to the same dark ages that hold the people of countries like Iran, Syria and Nigeria. It will be hard to turn the tides. I am still looking for positive signs for future peace (and I don't mean after being defeated). Have you found any?

Midwinter and Xmas charts 2014

Winter solstice's chart is for 23:03 GMT this year (http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/december-solstice.html) and for December 22, 0:03 in The Netherlands. The chart of that moment shows the Moon rising before the Sun (almost New Moon) and Jupiter as well as Saturn without major aspects within a 5 degree orb. 

NEW MOON DECEMBER 2014

Every year in December/January there is a conjunction of the Moon with the Sun in the astrological sign Capricorn. This year it is in the first degree of Capricorn. For those with the first degree of Capricorn, the New Moon is more important than to the rest of us. With this degree in the 10th house, they may expect changes in their public position, for example. When you were born on December 22/23, March 21/22, June 21/22 or September 23/24, the New Moon is in tight aspect with your natal Sun. This is your chance to find out if that really means change starting within a month. That is also true for those who have a 0-1 degree Capricorn, Cancer, Libra or Aries on the horizon (Ascendant-Descendant) or meridian (IC-MC) in the natal or progressed chart. In the 'Beeldgids van de dierenriem' (Helene and Willem A. Koppejan) there is a picture explained by Janduz of a couple holding hands but looking the other way. Another Sabian Symbol is that of a native American chief demanding power. The combination of this points at common or joined responsibilities to be the focus of the month to come. If your chart is being 'charged' by the New Moon, you are maybe about to experience changes in the field of responsibilities at work or at home. Christmas 2014

Most people simply want to know if their Xmas party will be fun. A third of them will check their sun sign to find out beforehand. 

The positions of Venus, Jupiter and midpoint Venus/Jupiter are the position of fun and joy and party time. During the days between Xmas and New Year those with Sun, Venus, Moon, Ascendant or MC in the 22nd (21-22) degree of a fire sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) are blessed with Jupiter in Leo Retrograde. This will help them to look back being happy even though there might be a less pleasant person who almost spoiled all the fun. If you were born on or around April 13, August 13 or December 13, this might happen to you. 

A pleasant and loving Xmas is for those with a happy Venus related to their charts. Birthdays between May 8 and 18, September 10 and 20, January 8 and 18 are the lucky birthdays of this year. There is also fun around for those with any position in natal or progressed chart between the 18th and 27th degree of the earth signs Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn. Check your chart!

The day after Xmas Venus will be inconjunct Jupiter to remind us of 'too big, too many, too much'. Your weight might understand this:). 

If your birthday is around end of October/beginnings of November or between January 25 and 31, the midpoint Venus/Jupiter will be on your natal Sun to make you feel happy with Father Xmas.

Of course, your individual charts and personal (or national) circumstances could keep you away from having a party. Xmas is a community celebration and it is a fact that not everybody will be able to join in. But, even if there is just a little bit of light on the horizon, try to be happy about the fact that this celebration has been worldwide for ages because it is the celebration of light and the sun growing.  Christmas trine

Jupiter is trine Ixion, trine Pholus and trine Eris now. This triangle will be back again in 2015. As little study has been done about the dwarf planet Eris and the asteroids Ixion and Pholus, only time will tell what this trine will mirror. Eris is the symbol of disharmony, Ixion is the symbol of the 'bad guys', Pholus is the man who shot himself. Jupiter expands and helps (even our enemies). Trines are symbols of getting away with it and finding easy ways out. Lucky adjustments to be able to deal with nasty guys? Well, to get back to Xmas: maybe this Jupiter helps those with family problems:). I'll be on the look out for what happens during this trine.

Astrology chart of Snoop Dogg (dissing Iggy Azalea)

You know that every and any chart should be considered with age, gender, genes, social situation, conditions and culture in mind. Here is the chart of Snoop Dogg, a famous AND notirious rapper. He is the news because he keeps dissing Iggy Azalea (see this link). No surprise, because his Venus inconjunct Eris just loves to create discord!

RAPPER

A rapper is telling his own rhythmic tales. Communications and rhythm is what you need, and it helps to have a difficult background. The astrologic word for communications is Mercury. His Mercury doesn’t make any aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees and that is what I call a ‘calling Mercury’. When you have Mercury calling, you can’t resist to talk, talk and talk, so telling stories is your thingJ.). His Mercury is conjunct Ixion (symbol of ‘the bad guy’) and both are inconjunct Saturn. Mercury and Ixion are at the midpoint Sun/Moon. That increases the motivation to communicate along with a ‘gangsta’ issue (Ixion).

There is also a ‘calling’ Uranus, rising before the Sun. This VIP Uranus is a VIP rebel, like Snoop Dogg is.  But Uranus is also the symbol of rhythm and acceleration.

Mercury (voice, pen), Uranus (rhythm, rebellion) and Ixion (gansta): a recipe for rapping.

We have fast talking here and controversial opinions (making a change by means of communications).

CHARACTERISTICS

Libra Sun, Scorpio Moon and an early Taurus Ascendant immediately points at the axis of earning money. Moon conjunct Venus semi square Pluto and Taurus Ascendant inconjunct Pluto.

There is a pattern indicating issues related to making money and values (Taurus-Scorpio-Libra). There is a Moon conjunct Venus for sense of style and what people like. And the mentioned Venus (ruler Sun) inconjunct Eris links the charming Libra to excessive disagreement. Libra likes a good atmosphere, but Venus inconjunct Eris can't resist to throw apples:).

 

Iggy Azalea

Snoop Dogg was born with 5 placements in air signs AND a calling Mercury, so that there is a strong focus on communications and the use of voice or pen. And he happened to know a lot of rappers!

MIDHEAVEN ROUTING

Midheaven’s ruler Saturn in the 2^nd house and the lack of placements in earth signs (except for the AC) tells us about the need to get material security. Because of ruler 10 in 2 this is related to public (10) appearances (2 is 5 of 10). The most narrow aspect with Midheaven is made by Pallas, the symbol of (repeated) patterns.

Venus-Pluto’s mutual reception finally disposes of Midheaven in Capricorn, ruled by Saturn in Gemini in the 2^nd house. That strongly refers to making money, again.

Now we got a person who is involved in public appearances (television, theatre), eager to make money and very capable and motivated to communicate (fast and furiousJ). As he is surrounded by rappers and living in a  ‘gangsta’ culture, it is more likely that he would become a rapper than an author. 

But how did he become famous?

PROGRESSED MOON-JUPITER

When he became known (release of movie April 1991) transit Jupiter was square his Sun/Moon midpoint with Mercury and Ixion, but so was Saturn. There is a Jupiter-Saturn opposition in the natal chart. Such an aspect adds disadvantages to successes and vice versa. There was a progressed Moon trine natal and later progressed Jupiter in that year. That is one of the best progressions a person can have. As there was much exposure, his rap became a success.

I see none of the usual indications for success (Jupiter-Pluto combinations or Mercury-Jupiter), just Jupiter/Neptune with Midheaven (an audience) and Jupiter/Uranus conjunct Venus (sudden artistic windfall). Maybe you do? 

Perhaps the right moment (Moon-Jupiter in April 1991) was enough for a fast and controversial speaking gangsta man with an audience in the best period for rappers.

An Ixion example

A Huffington Post message made me have a look at the chart of the victim of a shot, probably not meant for him. The chart of the day of birth has Sun inconjunct Mars. That is a difficult aspect when it comes to fire, shooting, fighting, competition and aggression*). Astrology fails to tell us 'who done it'. Victim and killer can have the same kind of aspects, as I showed you before, related to Mars-Pluto ( http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2008/04/mars-in-aspect-with-pluto.html ). In this case there is also a Mars-Pluto aspect.
The progressed chart of the victim has progressed Mars quindecile natal Pluto (focus on danger). On his birthday Mars was exactly sextile Pluto.  (For the correspondence between natal, progressed and daily aspects see the post on Resonance).

I'll focus on progressed Sun conjunct Ixion.

Ixion is the object that I already mention today (re the synastry of Jackie and Jaycee Chan). Ixion is the symbol of the ungrateful guest/dog, bad hosts and the 'bad guy'. When you are being confronted with Ixion, you'd better watch out. This man couldn't watch out. He was playing a computer game when the bullet hit him, just hours after celebrating his birthday (with guests?).


 If you were born on the same day and in a dangerous neighborhood or country, take care! Of course it makes a difference who you are and where you are and ... what other transits and progressions there are in your chart. Thousands of people were born on the same day (and will die on another day!). The astrological mirror has different colors and different views for all the differences in way of living, genes, gender, status and position.

PS Transit Uranus in the 17th (16-17!) degree of Aries is about to make an opposition with my natal Ixion and the Ixion of almost everybody born when I was born. Perhaps my generation will be shocked when somebody surprisingly turns out to be a 'bad guy'?

IXION's inconjunct
The Ixion of Jaylee inconjunct the natal Sun of father Jackie reminds me of the post on Ixion (http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2014/03/what-is-ixion-lets-test-it.html ) where I wonder if the range of meanings include the bad guy, the ungrateful dog and the 'bad guy without moral' only. Apparently at some point in their joined lives, a moral matter had to stand between them. In 2012 Jackie Chan told the press that Jaylee would be left out of his will, because he would only waste the money that he earned.

The drug in question is a soft drug: marihuana. But in China the police is trying to get a hold on the use of drugs among artists, now. The sentences are even harder than in the USA. It must be a nasty period for Jackie Chan now...even though he already had problems with his son's life style.

BTW Jaycee was born December 3, 1982.

Donald Sterling's Mercury-Jupiter

Any aspect between Mercury and Jupiter is rather fortunate for communications and the reach of the voice. It is definitely one of the aspects contributing to success in the world out there. Jupiter, however, has an arrogant and exaggerating side that, with Mercury, doesn't really help human interactions. I wrote about that side of Mercury-Jupiter before and in that post I mentioned the late Mr. Phelps's Mercury inconjunct Jupiter.  Mr. Phelps knew how to broadcast hate speech.

Today, I have a new example of the difficulties of Mercury-Jupiter affliction: Donald Sterling, born April 26, 1934.  He was talking too loud. On April 9 this year there was an audio recording of a conversation that was released on April 25. He was arguing with his Stiviano who posted a picture on Instagram posing with Magic Johnson.
His Mercury is in Aries, opposition Jupiter. His progressed Mercury is at 16d Cancer now, square Jupiter. 

Whenever a transit or progression repeats a natal combination, the effect is harder than with other transits or progressions (see about 'resonance'), so it was likely to expect some kind of opinion being broadcasted loudly, as one might expect to happen with a person with a Mercury-Jupiter conflict (at least once in a life time). 

In the natal chart his Mercury is opposition Jupiter and square Pluto. That is a combination for an expanding vocabulary and success in communications or business. It might even be so, that in spite of what he said, there will be people supporting his opinion, because Jupiter helps blindfolded and not always according to our wishes. Mr. Phelps also had his supporters...
It is also true, that he had a great career. He really made it. He began as an independent divorce and personal injury attorney and became a business magnate, rich enough to own the Los Angeles Clippers (a team valued at 575 million dollars). Mercury is sesquisquare Jupiter/Pluto and that one of the indications for success on April 26, 1934.
It takes more of such indications, of course. But, as we don't know what time Donald Sterling was born, we will never know about his MC or AC, the exact midpoint Sun/Moon and/or angular placements, but I guess there will be more keys to success for us to find once that we know his hour of birth.

He probably always had that kind of ideas. In 2006 he was accused of racism, too. That was with transit Jupiter inconjunct his natal Mercury. Transit Saturn was square his Sun in that period. That transit mirrored criticism. Now, transit Saturn is trine progressed Sun (making it easy to criticize him:).

This time there are a few difficulties.

d. And even more important: Donald Sterling's progressed Sun is conjunct Pluto, making way for challenges, stress and crisis. There will be consequences and maybe there is a price to pay. No matter how old he is, because there will be no discrimination.

What is Ixion? Let's test it...

Ixion is a Plutino in the Kuiper Belt, discovered on May 22,  2001 and a bit smaller than Ceres (a category dwarf planet) is. In Greek mythology Ixion, father of the Centaurs, is a bad host and even worse guest who ruined his second chance (given by Jupiter) and ended on a fiery wheel, turning in Hades forever and ever. 

There is little study done on Ixion, up to now. He might be the symbol of the second chance, forgiveness, ungratefulness or 'the bad guy' inside or outside ourselves. In the Zero Aries chart of the Netherlands, Ixion is opposition MC and last week the 'bad guy' appeared in the shape of a politician who is about to be prosecuted and isolated because of what he said. His Ixion is conjunct Mars and Uranus was quindecile this Mars-Ixion conjunction last week.

How about your Ixion? If Ixion has an important place in your natal chart (say in conjunction or opposition with a fast moving planet, Sun, Moon, Sun/Moon or Ascendant or MC) the issue of 'gratitude' or 'second chance' or the 'bad guy without moral' could be very important in your life. When transit Ixion is in hard aspect with your chart, you could have to make a choice whether or not to allow a second chance or to be or not to be a host or guest. You could even meet the 'ungrateful dog' in person! This might also happen when there is a progressed aspect with Ixion. Better test it!

Happy Astrological New Year!

Today at 16:58 UT it is the beginning of the next astrological year. It is NY's day for astrologers every time that the Sun is at 0 Aries (Aries Point). That is when the new cycle starts. Zero Aries in 2014 has Moon in Scorpio, Sun and Mars 'calling' (no Ptolemaic aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees). The Sun is half semi square Eris and retrograding Mars is making an aspect with Eris as well. This opposition of Mars and Eris will be exact on March 29 and will be back when Mars is direct later. This may be regarded in line with the events in Ukraine, perhaps. It is a rather disturbing aspect that mirrors aggressive discord.

As neither Mars nor Eris are angular, this doesn't seem to apply to Greenwich and neither is there a highlighted Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto in that chart.

In Moscow, however, Pluto is exactly square Ascendant (stubborn, threads, danger), while in Washington Pluto is exactly on the Descendant (outspoken) and Jupiter closer to the Ascendant than Jupiter is to the Russian Midheaven.

In Kiev Jupiter and Uranus are tighter connected to an angle as Pluto.

Time will tell what it means. It does have a meaning for those born at that time and place. May I end this story with the picture of NY2014 for Amsterdam? The day of the elections ended with Eris on the Descendant and there is a special place for Ixion on the IC in the NY's chart.
