May 19 2013 riot chart: Uranus-Pluto

One year ago, there were dramatic riots in Stockholm, exactly when Uranus was square Pluto. Here is the chart for the event on May 19, 2013:

Click for a better view!

Uranus-Pluto squares mark a period of extreme tension. See the history of Uranus-Pluto on Astromarkt: http://astromarkt.net/uranus-pluto-history.html

People born in a period of tension, with a prominent Uranus and/or Pluto position in their chart, may be more outspoken and 'radical' but also more nervous and feel more stress than others do, because they tend to provoke change and make enemies (and friends). Rebel, rebel, say...

Narendra Modi's chart

It seems that Narendra Modi, born September 17, 1950 in Vadnagar, India, will be the next Prime Minister of India. Modi is a Hindu nationalist politician. His time of birth is unknown. Astrodatabank has two possible hours of birth for us, but no confirmation whatsoever. That is why the hours of birth for the charts are DD-rated. I stick to 'unknown'.

Those who vote for him want change and a better situation. Those who are against him point at his past (especially events in 2002 when he had Progressed Sun semi square Ceres) and say he did too little to stop the riots then.

In the chart of his day of birth and in his past political years there are enough indications for the kind of PM that he will be and in what situation he is now.

His Astro ID shows us:
1. Saturn rising before the Sun (the importance of ambition, classical education, parent and responsibility)
2. Jupiter 'calling' (no aspects within the 5 degree orb or in sign) for the international at any possible level
Jupiter and Saturn are in minor aspect (157.5 degrees), so it might take some time to realize the wanted 'growth' in a hierarchic scene
3. The Moon is Out of Bounds.
The OOB Moon works like a 'calling' Moon' and tells us that emotions and needs can reach any level. An Out of Bounds Sagittarian Moon might be an unlashed person who:
may not really BE cheerful, but you think acting cheerful is a good thing always. You need progress and good news, cannot do without and when you pretend being happy you might actually become happy (you hope). Sometimes you just overdo that! When things are getting wrong or bad you become nervous and hurried"

Because of the lack of an A-rated hour of birth, the angular position are unknown.

His character is illustrated by:
1. Sun in Virgo, Moon most probably in Sagittarius (or else: Scorpio) (at least: in Western astrology. Because in Vedic it might be different...)
2. Tight aspects between Sun, Mercury, Mars and Saturn. Sun-Saturn tight aspects are in the charts of politicians like Hugo Chavez, Turkish PM Erdogan, Robert Mugabe and Putin. They like to be the one (and/or the ONLY one) in charge...
3. Venus sextile Uranus (and Mars sesquisquare Uranus) for explosive passion
4. Sun/Moon midpoint in Libra (square Pholus around noon that day)
If he was born around noon and Pholus is in the spotlights, we might expect that he is very motivated to initiate change (in his life and in that of others) by cooperation.
This is the chart of a flexible, ambitious, very driven and disciplined person who wants change and excitement and who is in heart and soul a diplomat, motivated to cooperate.
It is no wonder that he made a career:)

There is a lot of Pholus in his chart today.
1. Progressed Sun is sextile natal and progressed Pholus
2. Transit Pholus is square natal Sun
It means that he is on a turning point  (of no return) in life and that he must take care of his footsteps. Here are more examples: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2010/04/pholus-files.html

There is also a Venus-Jupiter square in the progressed chart. That is good for popularity and bad for eating too much:).

PS
The only other VIP born on the same day is John Waldo "Fee" Waybill, a singer. The Sagittarius Moon is semi square Neptune and square Venus in the hours around noon. That is a pattern for talent, see Art&Astrology.

Astrology of Bela Guttmann and the curse on Benfica

Yesterday Benfica didn't win. Was it, because Sevilla was better? Or...was it because of Bela Guttmann's curse? This question pops up in the newspapers and so I had a look at the chart of the man who is said to be the reason why Benfica can't be Number One.

Bela Guttmann was born in 1899, in Budapest (Hungary). Here you see the chart (without hour of birth) of a celebrated ambitious (Saturn rising before Sun and Venus) very fiery and  driven (Mars is "calling" - NA- and Out of Bounds) coach of Portugal, the team of the European Cup Final 1962. He won! Then he asked for a raise. They bluntly said no.

That was in the days of transit Pluto inconjunct his sun.
Imagine: you are a winner (Sun-Pluto) but (inconjunct) they don't seem to appreciate it. He was underestimated.

So he was out of balance (inconjunct), stressed (Pluto) and angry at any possible level (Mars "calling"). Also Jupiter was sesquisquare Mars for success, the progressed Sun was 105 degrees from Mars (so he was even more driven than ever).

He said that Benfica would never ever win a European Cup again. For ever and ever? Benfica was born February 28, 1904. The natal Sun is trine Guttmann's Jupiter (that is supportive) and a square from Nessus (wrath after death Nessus). Wonder what is stronger...in the end. Maybe if Benfica stops believing the curse story, they have a chance:)...

Chart of Misha Defonseca (not raised by wolves)

Yesterday it was the 77th birthday of Misha Defonseca, the artist name of a woman who told the world a story of being raised by wolves in World War II, after she - a Jewish child - escaped a prisoner camp. There is a movie about that! And a lot of people believed the story, including her publisher. But in the end, it is clear that Misha is not Jewish and never was in a prisoner's camp. The book and movie are still available. I haven't read it, but the reviews tell me that it is a fascinating story (but a pity that it wasn't sold as a story from the beginning).

Astrodatabank has her data. Here is the chart.

Misha Defonseca's birth chart has many many easy trines, the Sun/Moon semi square Venus for highlights on comfort and talent, and... an important Uranus to be in the news. The Mercury-Neptune trine permits her to picture a story and tell us tales. Moon with Venus and Neptune, 157.5 d from Midheaven: a pattern for artistic talent (though she had a ghost writer).
And there is Jupiter opposition Pluto on either side of the horizon for success (but, with a question mark, as oppositions seem to have to point at). In October 2008 she won a legal battle over 33 million dollars with P Sun opposite Jupiter (after P Sun c Pluto in February).

Now watch the transits and progressions for today and in particular: watch Saturn.

Transit Saturn is:
opposition natal Sun
inconjunct natal Venus
inconjunct progressed Venus
105 degrees progressed Sun

And in her solar return chart Sun is opposite Saturn, too.

She heard that she must pay back her publisher what she won in court a few years ago. That is not a nice birthday present...

When a solar return chart has such aspects, the birthday is not pleasant at all. But, as you see in this example, it takes more than 2 (usually much more) aspects for a major event to happen.

PS
It reminds of the story by Jerzy Kozinski. Many believed that the The Painted Bird was more than fiction.

Mothers in the chart (and a poll)

Mothers and fathers are parents. That is why Saturn is a gender neutral symbol for the persons who were responsible for you and whom you see as old (elderly) and restrictive. The Sun is usually the symbol of the father (because he is outside the house, in the sunlight) and the Moon was always related to the person who took care of you. The Moon is the symbol of the motherly figure who educated you and showed you what and how to do. For some persons, the Moon is not the biological mother. The Moon could be a nanny or a foster mother, or even a man (yes, why not?), just like the central figure in your life (the Sun) might be your mother...The Moon shows the nature of your early  memories. When you have emotional or behavioral problems, look for the Moon. It is the place where psychologist would search, too.

There is a dwarf planet with premised motherly qualities. It's Ceres. Ceres is the symbol of nutrition. Ceres is the symbol of the dynasty and the genes (hereditary). Ceres is about seeds and grain, agriculture. See:
http://astromarkt.net/ceres-in-astrology.html So perhaps your mother or your motherhood is represented by Ceres in your chart.
She is more like a queen, than the Moon is. I don't think that she washes, cleans or changes vipers. She is the head of the kitchen and she holds the keys to the closets with the candy.
In an ancient household, Ceres would be the boss and the Moon would do what was needed on an every day basis.

It would be a limitation to say that in your chart mother is Moon or mother is Ceres.
As your mother can be your best friend, your supporter, the nail on your coffin or the person you love or hate most, any symbol in the chart could be your mother's symbol.

Motherday seems to have had an antique start in the days of worshipping Rhea (mother of Zeus). Part of Rhea’s personality can be attributed to the mythes of Pandora, Cybella (see picture) or …Ceres. But we can not, I repeat NOT, copy the way that our ancestors were celebrating Rhea’s day, because mother wouldn’t like it. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhea_(mythology

Before I continue and ask you a question about your idea of synastry charts between parent and child, I wish you a pleasant Mothers Day and here are the flowers for all women and men who educate and nurture children:

NASTY SYNASTRY AND GIVING BIRTH
I found that the synastry charts of mothers and their children often have a painful component, like for example Mars on the Ascendant or heavy transits of Pluto and Saturn. At the moment of giving birth there is often pain, anxiety, hard labor... So if you and your mother or you and your child have such a difficult aspect between you, think of the day of birth. We can't say that because of a painful moment of birth there will be a nasty relationship for the rest of your life, can we? The actual moments of starting a life and giving birth have the same chart. The chart of one person's birth mirror the transits for another person's moment of delivery. Maybe that is why the memory of the pain usually vanishes at the glance of the little baby born. But does that moment have an effect on the relationship with the mother or father, I wonder?  I have examples in the links to help you to help me find the answer to the question if situation on the day of giving birth is the upbeat to the later relationship between parents and a child.

Synastry charts of parents and their children ARE the charts of parents and the transits of the moment that their child was born. Do they color their relationship for ever?
