Viktor Orbán (Hungary) and transits of Saturn

Astrothème provides this chart of Hungary's PM Viktor Orbán, PM of Hungary, for 14.00 hours on May 31, 1963. Here you his chart with transits and progressions. They are not easy.

1. The progressed Midheaven conjunct natal Uranus nicely mirrors that there is controversy around him. People are fore or against him. And there is a hectic, unexpected situation (Uranus!)

2. With Transit Saturn trine Progressed Sun there is also stability now, continuity and self respect. This won't last for long. Saturn moves, like the refugees do. 

3. Transit Saturn will be square his MC soon, if Astrothème is right about his hour of birth.  Transits of Saturn are hard.

Doesn't this show his present position? 

Some consider him as the goal-keeper of Europe. Others see him as a rebel against Europe, modern democracy and Merkel's policy. They picture him like a modern Hitler and then his fans come to show their support. But in these hectic times one thing is certain: there is criticism. And that is so Saturn, just like blockades, borders and restrictions. The combination of Uranus and Saturn issues the theme of breaking free (or not).

PS MIGRATION

Neptune was in Pisces in the days of the Migration (4th century) and in days of revolution. Uranus-Pluto stresses nations and creates a lot of unrest throughout the ages. Two important factors contributed to the present situation and it will not end untill Saturn is conjunct Uranus (a new order). The chart of Europe and Hungary will show what's next.

Chart of the new constitution of Tunesia

On January 26, 2014, roughly at about 11:15 p.m. the Tunesian parliament embraced the new constitution and each other to celebrate the moment. Tunesia is now the first nation with a positive ending of the 'Arabian spring'. The constitution is not based on the sharia and there is much room for the equality of females and males and for freedom of religion. The constitution was in effect with this chart:

The chart shows the moment of joy by means of Venus and Jupiter (the planets of joy) on the meridian, together with Pluto, also telling us about the hope for financial gain and prosperity.

The progressive contents could be attributed to the combination of Sun in Aquarius and Moon in Sagittarius. Midpoint Sun/Moon is square Uranus: motivated for modern times:).

Another important feature is Neptune in the fifth house, not making aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees. This Neptune issues ideals, ideology and religion and says that this will be of importance at any possible level, somehow, anyhow. I studied the periods in history with Neptune in the first degrees of Pisces (see: http://astromarkt.net/neptune-in-pisces.html ) and found a remarkable number of revolutionary activities in those days. That is why I see Neptune here as the representative of the revolutionary ideal that eventually lead to this new, celebrated constitution.

Ring! Your chart activated...

When transits or progressions are between planets and positions just like in your natal chart, there is a stronger effect. That is natural. For example: when you are a dreamer, you will be more disappointed to find out that real life is not like in the movies.

Speaking of dreamers...When you have a natal Sun-Neptune aspect, you will strongly notice the Sun-Neptune conjunction of this weekend. There is 'Neptune' in the air and you were born when Neptune was being highlighted by aspect. You could use this weekend to get a clear view (if possible, with Neptune) of your ideals and dreams. Maybe you will have more vivid dreams this weekend. I had (and they were very strange!).

A progression or transit of Neptune with your Sun will have a stronger effect for you. You are a 'dreamer' with that aspect in your natal chart and that part of you will be highlighted during such a transit or progression. Those who don't have a major or minor aspect between Sun and Neptune in their chart (and who are not a Pisces), won't be disappointed as hard as the Sun-Neptune person will be when the dreams don't come true or the ideal failed to be an ideal. It is logical, because when you are not an idealist or if you don't have a romantic view of life, you won't be surprised that dreams are only dreams.

An example of Sun-Uranus resonation in today's news: Christian Wulff was the German President until he was forced to step back after a lot of fuss about abusing his position. Transit Uranus was sesquisquare his natal Sun. In the natal chart, the Sun is semi square Uranus. The transit 'sounds' like the natal aspect. That gives a much stronger effect. Say that Sun-Uranus is the aspect of the outsider (one of the possible meanings). Transit Uranus in a frustrating aspect with the Sun  resounds 'alienation'. He is no longer part of the scene. A Sun-Uranus affliction in a VIP's chart often brings the person in the news (and rarely in a nice way).

A Venus-Uranus example:
Someone with a Venus-Uranus conflict in the chart will be very tense and ready for love during a transit of Uranus over Venus or a transit of Venus over Uranus. That is because this person was born with a love for anything that is exciting and new. Uranus is mirroring excitement and Venus is mirroring fun. The transits will be stimulating to go out and seek the excitement. When you don't have a Venus-Uranus aspect (minor or major) you might want to buy a new gadget or have fun, but it won't have the same impact. You'll not fall in love that easily!

When you consider the impact of a transit or progression, have a look at the natal chart first. Well, you always do, don't you?

PS This Sunday (February 19, 2012) the Sun is conjunct Neptune in Pisces. Babies born on that day will also have a Moon rising before the Sun. They will be sensitive and able to create their own world of dreams and illusions. May they use this to give us the opportunity to step out of the treadmill from time to time to keep us going.

Neptune and wax figures

Neptune is the symbol of what is imagination, unreal and ' just an idea', like in pictures and movies.  Wax figures appear to be real at first sight, but they are not living creatures. Nevertheless the wax figures get the attention of the public and the public gets an idea about the person in wax, who is being watched and discussed and who is not able to respond or even hear what is being said. Wax figures are part of the Neptune vocabulary. Example:

Susan Boyle's spitting image can be watched in Madame Tussauds London, since yesterday and that is with transit Neptune exactly square her Progressed Sun in 0.1 Gemini. Here is the chart of Susan Boyle with transits and progressions for now.

Neptune is the astrological symbol of 'negative', 'fake' and 'idols' and negatives are part of the process to make a picture or movie. It takes an image (in the mind) to create a picture. But what if the image doesn't do you right? 

(It seems that Robert Pattinson has wax figures in almost all of the Madame Tussauds and his figure is most kissed, - and that was before Justin Bieber had a wax sculpture!:)- but some think that it is not a perfect look alike...). 

With Neptune's transit confusion is 'in the picture' (the chart). Very often Neptune's transit resonate a negative view on a person (by gossip, slander, bad press). Recently I had the opportunity to see Neptune's transit mirrored. This person had transit Neptune quindecile (165 d) Progressed Sun, close to an opposition with natal Midheaven. It is very hard to clear yourself of accusations during Neptune's transits. And even harder when the transits are accompanied by Saturn square Saturn and Uranus transit inconjunct Midheaven (rule of three). A bad hype, indeed...

It is just like with wax figures: you are being seen, kissed or mocked but it is not the real you. 

Recently Justin Bieber had a wax sculpture, too, with transit Neptune quindecile Midheaven. Here is his chart (B-rated by Astrodatabank).

First shot Civil War (Mars-Eris, Neptune Pisces)

The very first shot in the American Civil War was fired at 4:30 a.m. on April 12, 1861, aimed at Fort Sumter by the Confederates. The war that followed cost the lives of about 600.000 Americans. That was 150 years ago today. This is the chart of that moment with Neptune changing sign to Aries and the Sun semi square Mars and Eris.

NEPTUNE IN PISCES ON ARIES POINT

It has Neptune, in the very last minutes of Pisces, about to enter Aries, at Zero Aries. Chiron had recently entered Pisces. This important Neptune is rising before the Sun and Venus and on the Ascendant. Another important place is for Ceres (the roots, the genes) opposition Midheaven. In an earlier post about Pearl Harbor I pointed at Mars and Eris. In the chart of the first fire in the Civil War, Mars is square Eris, with the Sun semisquare Mars and Eris. 

MARS AND ERIS

The combination of Mars and Eris means war (aggression/fire with the symbol of discord). See the post about Mars and Eris and the post about Pearl Harbor.

A recent violent suicide act occured with the killer's progressed Mars square Eris and transit Mars exactly square Mars. This person was dressed like a soldier. 

MARS CONNUNCT ERIS 

Mars is conjunct Eris end of April/starting May this year and of course: there is more than one aspect between Mars and Eris every year. Like with all aspects and signs, it depends on the rest of the chart, circumstances, situations, genes and culture in what way Mars will join Eris now.

Neptune in Pisces in 1193, 1029, 866 and 702

In 1193 Neptune entered Pisces, just like Neptune did on April 4, 2011 and in 1848 (Year of the Revolts and Communist Manifesto), 1648 (Holy League against the Ottoman Empire), 1521 (Martin Luther banned and Bible translated from Latin) and 1357 (Paris revolt, end of feudal society). But what happened when Neptune changed sign from Aquarius to Pisces in 1193, 1029, 866 and 702? 

1193: AZTEK AND SALADIN

In 1193 the main events were not in Europe, but in Mexico (start of the Aztek civilization) and in the Middle East. It was the year of the death of Saladin. Saladin lead the troops against the Crusaders and won Jerusalem. When he died he was too poor to have a mausoleum (he gave away all of his money). Saladin was a well respected gentleman. Even his enemies respected him. Did his death change the world? I wonder...It was an important period in the fight between religions, and I guess that the beginning of the Aztek civilization included a religious concept. 

1029 ROMANUS AND PAGANS

But now I am in 1029/1030. For the first time on March 9, 1029 and again in the first months of 1030, Neptune entered Pisces. And I don't see change in religion or revolts (except for a French King fighting his father). Romanus III invaded Syria and there are pagans in Norway who don't want to be a Christian like their King (simply put...) but that is really all there is. 

So what happened? Why is Neptune's move to Pisces suddenly not a marking stone in history? 

866 SARACENS

I tried one earlier year, 866, when Louis II beated the Saracen invaders and a Viking army captured York. Meanwhile Pope Nicholas I forbids the use of torture in prosecutions for witchcraft (very modern, this Pope. Wiki mentions: To a spiritually exhausted and politically uncertain Western Europe beset by Muslim and Norse incursions, Pope Nicholas appeared as a conscientious representative of the Roman primacy in the Church). 

So in 866 Europe was beset by incursions (Muslim and Norse). And when Neptune entered Pisces they were perhaps on their way to fight back? Later Louis II continued his efforts, with the help of allies.

It is been a rather disappointing study, I am afraid. There is little history in those days. But I tried another year: 702. There is a large scale Armenian rebellion against Muslim rules in that year. Finally, rebellion again. 

This completes my search for the events in the year of Neptune entering Pisces. A lot of the events in those years are related to battles between religions and ideologies. Perhaps history is all battle about ideologies, but in some of those years the events started a new period in convictions (like Protestantism and Communism). Neptune entering Pisces is like a ship at sea in the misty morning. Of course, I could go further back in history to see what happened around 538 or the year 64 or before Christ, but it is getting harder and harder to see the impact of an event without knowing more about the history of those days and in Asia or the Americas...There is a continuing story of revolts, civilizations and beliefs. Neptune in Pisces in 1521 and 1357

Neptune is almost in Pisces now (April 4, 13:37 UT) and we are in the middle of a revolutionary time, just like in 1848. That was also the year of the Communist Manifesto. In 1684 we see the Holy League (alliance against the Ottoman Empire) and in 1685 the Protestant ideas were forbidden in France. The same thing happened in Germany in 1521. Whistleblower Martin Luther’s books were burned and forbidden and Martin Luther became an outlaw on January 3,1521, just 10 days before Neptune was in Pisces. That is how he became the first Protestant. He started to translate the New Testament. Before 1522, the Bible was written in Latin.

End of January of 1357 Neptune entered Pisces. In Paris there was a revolt lead by Etienne Marcel.This revolt should be seen in the context of feudal society in crisis. The economy of Europe changed (more centered on trades and cities than on land and property).

I don’t know what happened in Asia or Africa or in the Americas in those days and that is partly because there is no written history available. Searching for the common factor in events during the position of Neptune in the first degree of Pisces I found revolts, an important alliance for Christianity and  important events of the first days of new religions/ideologies like Protestantism and Communism. History is a long story of revolts and wars, of course. But the ban on Martin Luther started more than a 'branche' in Christianity. It was the beginning of an era of beginning independence in Northern Europe, for example and still there is a different culture in the southern Catholic and the northern Protestant countries.  And we all know what the Communist Manifesto started!  

My conclusion could be that throughout history the move of Neptune from Aquarius to Pisces moved ideologies and religions, often as a result of revolts, and that those ideologies or ideas changed (Western) history. And that would be no surprising conclusion in the light of the meaning of Neptune and Pisces in astrology. Neptune is the symbol of ideology. Aquarius is the symbol of change. And Pisces, in the end, spreads the concept. We now entered the first year of Neptune in Pisces. In 2025 Neptune will be in Aries and we will know what the impact of this period will have been for our concepts and for the world religions and ideologies. 

But what if Neptune's transit is important for you? When you are a Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Cancer, Scorpio, Libra, Aries...well: almost all sunsigns will experience a transit Neptune in Pisces with their natal or progressed Sun. What to expect?

Neptune in Pisces in 1684

 Neptune will enter Pisces tomorrow. That is not for the first time in history. I have written about the Neptune in Pisces of the 19th Century, Karl Marx and the 'Year of the Revolts' (http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/03/neptune-in-pisces-in-1848.html).

Now I will show you the events of 1684, when Neptune entered Pisces (on March 4). With today and 1848 in mind, I was searching for revolts and for ideology. I found one ideological event and it is immediately an important one: the Holy League. Members were Poland, the Holy Roman Empire, Venice, Tuscany, Russia and Malta. They fought the Ottoman Empire. On January 26, 1699 the Treaty (Peace) of Karlowitz (Karlovci) was signed, with Neptune in 1 degree 4 minutes Aries.

SOBIESKI

Jan (John III) Sobieski, a Polish (chosen!) King, lead the army that liberated the besieged Vienna. He was born on August 17, 1629. His chart (no hour of birth) is here with the transits and progressions for the day of the victory. With Sun and Moon in Leo he was the prototype of a leader. The tightest aspect were Sun quintile Mars (the creative fighter) and Jupiter square Neptune (the issue of religion); he had the chart that matched the events.

The Ottoman Empire was beaten on 11/12 September 1683. This was followed by the Holy League and a campaign to drive the Ottoman Empire out of Europe. Quoting Wikipedia:

"Holy League of 1684 was initiated by Pope Innocent XI (...)This alliance opposed the Ottoman Empire in the Great Turkish War and lasted until the Treaty of Karlowitz in 1699"

Feast of the Holy Name of Mary, or simply Holy Name of Mary is a feast day in the Roman Catholic Church celebrated on 12 September to honour the name of Mary the mother of Jesus. It has been a universal Roman Rite feast since 1684, when Pope Innocent XI included it in the General Roman Calendar to commemorate the victory at the Battle of Vienna in 1683.

You see, Jan III had placed his troops under the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  

SECOND TIME NEPTUNE IN ZERO PISCES (1685)

Neptune went back to Aquarius. On January 2, 1685 Neptune entered Pisces again. Religion (ideology) was news when the French King announced that Protestantism was illegal and thousands of Hugenots left the country. 

SO...

Just like in our days, now that the revolt in the Nothern African states began with Neptune in the final degrees of Aquarius, the events that changed history started in 1683 (with Saturn opposition Neptune in Aquarius). In 1684, when Neptune was in Pisces, the Holy League was founded. That was on March 5, 1684, to be precise. Neptune in Pisces in 1848

Neptune will enter Pisces on April 4/5 2011, but of course, Neptune was in Pisces before. That was before the discovery of Neptune. You may notice that it was a year to remember, just like this year is. The Astrodatabank Ephemeris shows that Neptune moved to Pisces on February 18, 1848. That was three days before the publication of the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, introducing a new ideology.

Wikipedia says about 1848: 'Year of the Revolutions' 'Spring of the Nations' and that is because there were revolts, constitutional changes and revolutions all over Europe:
- France (February 24, abdication of the King),
- Austria and Hungary (March 3 and revolt in Vienna on March 12),
- Berlin (March 19),
- Stockholm (March 18 and 19, 30 persons died) and
- even in the still very rural Netherlands there was a new constitution on November 3, 1848, against the wishes of the King.
- Switzerland is also on the list (Federal Constitution of November 1848). In 1846 the uprising in Galacia had been suppressed, but in 1848 the authorities gave in, more and more.

Right now we see revolts all over Northern Africa and in some of the Arab countries.

MEDIUM
When sunsigns change, lifestyles change. Pisces is not Aquarius: there is difference between those signs. Now why is Neptune's transfer from Aquarius to the first degrees of Pisces resonated by revolts, revolutions and changes in constitutions?  I think that part of the explanation is that Pisces is the sign of the 'media' and mediums, transporting messages that concern us all.

Mass media bring us the news and influence our state of mind. Just before Neptune went to Pisces the media had become more and more of influence. I read that after 1830 there was a sort of an explosive growth of newspapers, suddenly available for the people. And 1848 was the year of the foundation of Associated Press. When Neptune changed sign, ideologies and beliefs and ideas changed, starting with chaos and the news was distributed faster than ever in history.

Today, you see that the new media (Facebook, Twitter) were used to gather the people...The media were the vehicle for ideas today and then. I am just thinking out loud...

IDEOLOGY
What new idea will be brought into the world with Neptune in Pisces now? Neptune in Pisces introduced communism in 1848: Working men of all nations, unite! It was a new ideology, a new belief, a new -ism with 10 points*). The situation of the members of the working class has improved since then, in Europe, out of fear for communism. In Eastern Europe the Communist Party ruled for many years.

So, what else happened in 1848? Mr. Tiffany was born. In 1848 there was a Womens' Rights convention in the USA, too.
