Mars square Uranus on October 12, 1983

The Katie Piper story is a tragic story about a beautiful woman whose ex-boyfriend hired a person in order to throw acid in her face on March 31, 2008. She was born October 12, 1983, just like the late Anthony Arline (football standout, suicide July 2010) , Gonzalo Garcia (football; attacking midfielder) and Alex Brosque (soccer player, had a baby on March 2, 2010) or Nolan Reimold (basesball outfielder*) and many many more men and women who didn’t have this nasty experience. The hours of birth are unknown. So what can an astrologer say about this sad incident and about the differences between her life and the lives of the sportsmen? 

First of all: that she is a woman!...A woman with Mars rising before the Sun (and Mercury) and square Uranus...

MARS and MARTIAL

The chart of the day of birth of Katie Piper has a prominent Mars rising before the Sun. It is the mark of the fighter (the entrepeneur, activist, soldier of sportsman) and for women it is often reflecting an orientation on what men do or on men in general. Mars is the symbol of males. II Transit Saturn inconjunct Sun and the special effect

Nicolas Anelka and Raymond Domenech

Nicolas Anelka (born in Versailles, March 14 1979) offended his trainer (Raymond Domenech) during the WC2010 and was sent home, but still Domenech is rather calm about the incident, explaining that the WC football players suffer from a lot of stress. Anelka didn't want to apologize...

Jupiter is the planet of tolerance and wisdom. Raymond Domenech's Jupiter is sextile midheaven. Unfortunately, Anelka's Saturn is square the Midheaven of Domenech and inconjunct Domenech's Jupiter. Saturn is the hard liner of the planets, building barriers. The Saturn of Anelka is opposition his Mars and Mars is rising before his Sun. One of the possible effets of the Mars-Saturn opposition has been described on Cafe Astrology:

And that is what happened now and the target was the position (MC) as a coach (wise man leading the team: Jupiter) of Domenech. Notice that Anelka lost the confrontation...He was sent away. Mars-Saturn conflicts often eventually hurt yourself. And Jupiter is ...well, Jupiter is why Domenech is able to be tolerant. He already won.

How about you?
With an oriental Mars (that is when Mars rises before the Sun*) your orientation is on what Mars means: action, sport, aggression, militarism and drive. Hard aspects with Mars hurt (you or others).So when Mars is important (like when Mars is oriental), your first idea is to DO something (to hit, hurt or start up something). Anelka's prominent Mars is helpful in sports, but might damage or hurt sometimes, too. The oriental Mars is found in the charts of 'tough' women, soldiers and sports men or entrepeneurs and everywhere where the action is.

*) You find the planet rising before the Sun, by moving your finger clockwwise from the position of the Sun. The Ascendant (moving anti-clockwise) will reach Mars just before the Sun comes up (again), when Mars is the planet rising before the Sun.

In 2008,when I didn't know his hour of birth, I wrote about Domenech and his interest in astrology. Here is the link. It seems that he composes his team using sun sign astrology and I remarked that his idea to not have Scorpio's or Leo's in his team (because he is an Aquarian) might not help him win (since the Dutch team that defeated his had 2 Scorpio's). Domenech is an Aquarian and Anelka is a Pisces (uhmmm...) Of course, you know that astrology is about more than just sun signs...

Chart of serial killer Ronald Janssen

Ronald Janssen is a teacher and most probably a serial killer, but certainly a rapist. He was born February 6, 1971 at 12h15 in a place near Hasselt, says John Timperman, Belgian astrologer in Aquarius May-June 010. Janssen has been arrested this year and admitted to have killed two of his neighbours, among other violent crimes. He said that they made him angry. Mars is the symbol of aggression and sex, the soldier and the man in general. Mars is very important here. Why?

Mars is conjunct Aldebaran,
Mars is opposition Ascendant
Mars is the first rising outer planet
Masr is semi square Sun/Moon and
Mars doesn't make aspects within a 5 degree orb.

That makes Mars extremely important in the chart and the issues of a ' calling' , oriental and angular Mars on Aldebaran will be the issues to deal with for the chart holder. Ronald Janssen is motivated by Mars at any possible level and Mars (energy, production, aggression) is of crucial importance for him.

The second important observation: there are minor aspects between Saturn, Mars (157.5; sesquisquare and half semi square) and Pluto (sesquisquare) so that the combination of death threat and unnatual death is in the chart, including the most important planet of the chart! Minor aspects often reveal hidden issues...He appeared to be a normal teacher.

The third thing: PHOLUS. Pholus is on top of the chart. Not long ago, transit Pholus crossed the Descendant and Mars. In the progressed chart Pholus is the first rising object! Pholus seems to have a similar effect as Pluto, but in a more ' vigorous' way.

Difficulties in the relationship with women might be indicated by the conflicts of Pluto with Moon and Venus. The Venus-Saturn-Pluto combination together with the minor Mars-Saturn-Pluto makes passions rather cruel. Janssen is a divorced father of two.

The chart is the chart of a man who has problems with women, but he is even more the kind of man who is aggressive without much control.

Jupiter and the wheel of fortune

The case of a woman (born April 26, 1964) who escaped from prison by digging a tunnel to freedom made me think about Jupiter, again, because of her prominent Jupiter and progressed Sun opposition Jupiter right now. (Her chart is below).
Is Jupiter always right and righteous? Well, who am I to judge that, but I can ask questions, can't I? In my opinion, Jupiter is reflecting the wheel of fortune, more than just pure luck. I have several examples to support that.

A transit or progression of Jupiter might help, but sometimes 'being positive' means the end of an athlete's career and sometimes you get a positive identification that is false. Criminals profit from the benefits of Jupiter and good people gracefully die during Jupiter's transits and progressions. So let us face it: Jupiter is NOT always right or seems not be right always. And what is good for one can be bad for another one and vice versa. Jupiter is the helper, the doctor, the judge and the wise man/woman, but they all can make mistakes and misjudge situations. Jupiter is the symbol of horses and horsepower, too, and of exaggeration, arrogance and doing things your way (without considerations for the rest), so that Jupiter has a part in the astrological picture of accidents, too. Sagittarius is the sign of Jupiter and accidents happen more often in Sagittarius, see the post about the investigations of an insurance company. With progressed Sun square Progressed Jupiter Sagittarian Richard Hammond survived a crash: in his case Jupiter helped...(see that post). Everybody said that he was lucky to survive, but would he have considered himself lucky when he crashed? I doubt it.

Yes, sometimes Jupiter makes you happy or hopeful and scream "YES I CAN" when you should be careful and pessimistic and calculate your chances. That is in particular so when you don't have the chart and the circumstances to be happy anyway.
So: beware of Jupiter? Yes, the benefits of Saturn can be more positive in the long term. But that is another story.

About the importance of Jupiter in the chart of a priest who is been accused of sexual assaults and still has important fans.

Genarlow Wilson had to spend many months in jail for voluntarily sex with a girl of his age (but not 18 yet). Jupiter was trine his Sun when he was free again (together with Saturn-Uranus indications).

Her progressed Sun is opposition Jupiter in this period of time and Jupiter is the first planet rising before Sun and inner planets Venus and Mercury in her chart. Also, Jupiter is sesquisquare Uranus and in aspect with Mercury (for being inventive). There were also transits of Saturn and Uranus with Mars to accompany her moment of breaking free (and perhaps even more reflections of that moment in a chart with hour of birth), but still...Jupiter is very important in her chart and Jupiter is very important right now. So it the issue of the danger of death (Mars, Saturn and Pluto combination).

Amy Bishop's day of birth?

Amy Bishop is the Professor of the shooting at the University of Alabama. Many sources mention February 1965 as the month of birth. I found another date of birth, too: 04/24/19065. Was Amy Bishop born on April 24, 1965? The University of Alabama mentioned this dob earlier, before the info about her was removed (also see CBS, also mentioning 04/24/1965), using this date of birth, with source . Is this the birthday of Dr. Amy Bishop? In this post I comment the chart for April 24, 1965 at Noon (no matter what place of birth) as if it is hers.

April 24, 1965
It is the date of birth of someone with a passion (Venus trine Mars), who is not what she appears to be (Sun quindecile Neptune; something hidden in her life) with her career, ambition and status coming in the first place (Saturn rising before the Sun) and a tendency to act on impulse with a bad effect (a Mars-Uranus-Pluto combination, opposition Saturn). The 5 positions in earth signs are making her a materialist and a realist. Mercury is inconjunct Uranus, reflecting possible lack of mental balance related to tension and disproportional differences of opinion (arguying).

The tightest aspect (disregarding the possible aspects of the Moon) is Saturn opposition Pluto, the combination of the ‘ die hard’ who pays the price for ambition. Saturn and Pluto are in aspect with the Nodes, involving the community. There is more about Saturn Pluto in this post (scroll down).

DEATH OF HER BROTHER
She (perhaps accidently) killed her 18 year old brother Seth on December 8, 1986). These are the transits and progressions for that day, if she was born April 24, 1965.
- Transit Pluto sextile natal Mars
- Transit Saturn square progressed Mars
- In the progressed chart Pluto was exactly conjunct Node (and this aspect hasn’t moved since that day!)
It is a combination of violent (Pluto) death (Mars-Saturn) that is also in her natal chart! It goes together with transit Jupiter in hard aspect with Saturn, Pluto and the Nodes…For some reason she was never charged. That reason is mirrored by Jupiter (the planet of help, luck and profit). Perhaps the Sun quindecile Neptune is reflecting her living with a secret, and a growing obsession with that. Now that the progressed Sun is inconjunct Neptune, she lost balance and took up the gun. Here is the chart with transits for December 8, 1986.

UNIVERSITY KILLING
Now she killed more people and it was obviously murder. Perhaps she did it because there had been made a negative decision about her career. There are a few transits referring to instability, depression and illness. Three heavy indications together produced a dangerous instability.

1. Transit Saturn inconjunct her Sun is reflecting a period ending and lost of balance involved (a depression, just like in the cases of Queen’s Day and the killing at Fort Hood, see this link this link...
2. Progressed Sun is now inconjunct Neptune, reflecting disappointment and lost balance because of that (not being ‘ yourself’ ) after progressed Sun square Saturn last year (when she was denied tenure). It is the combination of a negative press and being seen in a very negative light.
3. In the progressed chart Pluto is still square the Node, just like on the day that she shot her brother.

Together the inconjunctions, Saturn and Neptune are the ingredients for illness and depression (being deeply disappointed) and there is an ongoing danger or challenge in communities, families and company. Add the progression of Mars in the 21st of Virgo, opposition Chiron and transit Mars square the Sun and you add anger, hurt and grieve.

I wonder if it was a random shooting, since the Saturns of two of the victims (born 14th September 1957 and 22th June 1957) are exactly square the Mars of Amy Bishop. The combination of Mars and Saturn is refers to fear and blocked energy or death.

People get depressed or angry without having to shoot others. There must be indications for using force in the natal chart and there are:

- MARS, URANUS, PLUTO
Uranus is in the middle of Mars and Pluto. That combination is for acting on impulse, using force, influence or violence. It is often involved in crashes, too. (Going too fast, getting hurt).

- MERCURY-URANUS
Mercury is inconjunct Uranus, reflecting possible lack of mental balance related to tension.

- SATURN, PLUTO AND NODE
The tightest aspect (disregarding the possible aspects of the Moon) is Saturn opposition Pluto, the combination of the ‘ die hard’ who pays the price for ambition. Both planets square the Nodes. In my (Dutch) book AstroTrio you can read about this combination of Saturn-Pluto-Node: Hard confrontations in a cruel society or community. Or see it as: the disadvantages of politics or investigations to a group of persons, This combination was also seen on the day that she shot her brother. Saturn and Pluto together can force you to disregard signals of exhaustion or pain and in transit or progression the combiation might force you to step back. There is often a price to pay for the status or career.

Many more people have this combination in their chart. It is a combination that was active in the weeks before and after her day of birth. Perhaps in her chart the combination is related to her Moon in Aquarius (which means that she was born around midday) or to her Midheaven. It would certainly make it hard to express emotions the ' normal' way. Moon-Saturn is about a wall around your private feelings and Pluto would intensify these feelings. So one day you might expect the wall to be destroyed because of the load and weight of the emotions.

CONCLUSION
Those observations perhaps explain what happened, if she was born on April 24, 1965. If she hadn't been a woman with a gun, things might have ended otherwise. In instable times the most nasty aspects of a character might take over. And that is how she turned into Mrs. Hyde. But this theory is only correct if she was born on April 24! (It's BTW also a day of birth of a woman whose drivers license expires because she didn't pay up for her children.)

WHAT IF she is not born on April 24 or what if YOU were born on April 24, 1965? If this is not her day of birth, we'll see about the right one. If it is your day of birth, please take care not to be too fanatic about status or obligations and try to control your impulses. Please realise that a chart has prominent positions, angles and a moon that we don't know when the hour of birth is missing, like in this case. You don't have the same past, genes and situation as Amy Bishop has. This post is about a possible explanation of what happened. If you are in a bad situation, find help!
An individual is the result of the influence of a situation , condition, genes, past and training on the reflection of the blueprint that the chart is. And astrology has a wide vocabulary of many possible ways to mirror what is pictured in the sky above. What you read here is one of those ways.

Detroit hero Jasper Schuringa and the terrorist

A few weeks ago, on Xmas day, Jasper Schuringa subdued Umar Abdulmutallab, who intended to become a suicide terrorist in an airplane, near Detroit. Read the story here... Above you see the natal and progressed positions with transits for that day for Schuringa. There is no hour of birth for the men, but there is still a lot to see in the positions of their days of birth. Take for example the oriental Jupiter for the hero; he is an international from the very start and becomes famous while travelling. Jupiter is the symbol of the international.

Usually I don't wait to publish such stories, but as I heard that Jasper Schuringa had been taken to a safe house, I did. Now that he is seeking publicity on television where his fellow passengers applaud and thank him (now there is apparantly no more danger for him), I like to tell you what is interesting about the charts involved, even though it happened weeks ago. That is because there is so much to see. It is a story about a lot of Mars! Here you see the positions of Umar with those of Jasper on the outside of the circle:


a. Schuringa has Mars trine Pluto and that is the combination of self defence and/or using force. On the day of the flight transit Pluto was opposition progressed Mars. That is a sort of a trigger aspect that 'hit' his tendency to be brave.
b. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the terrorist, was born December 22, 1986. What he shares with Schuringa are the combinations of Mars-Saturn and Mars-Neptune ( Mars 90 Saturn quintile Neptune; Schuringa has Mars opposition Neptune and semi sesquisquare Saturn). Sharing those kind of aspects are not making a relationship fun:). Mars-Neptune combinations are frequent in the charts of criminals and those who fight them and that is exactly mirroring what happened here.
c. Look at the synastry between them and you see that the same planets are interacting, including the Node. For example: Saturn of Umar is conjunct the Mars of Jasper. See Cafe Astrology about this aspect in synastry and you may understand that Jasper noticed that Umar was afraid. Jasper's Saturn is inconjunct the Mars of Umar, so that they are sharing a Mars-Saturn combination. The complete combination of aspects could be read as a group event related to murder and cancelled ambitions.

Last, but not least: Jasper has the Sun exactly trine Neptune and that is a typical aspect for an idol or a hero (like Elvis for example). More about Sun trine Neptune on this blog...
