A battle and an Oscar winning star at July 1, 1916

With Uranus so close at the possible degrees of the UK Ascendant, Jessica Adams expected a Brexit (see the interesting article at http:/www.jessicaadams.com/2016/02/22/how-astrology-predicts-a-brexit/ ) and she was right. Uranus, however, comes with surprises. Maybe that is why millions of young Brittons demonstrated their wish to Bremain, why Boris Johnson suddenly decided not to be a candidate for the job of Prime Minister, and why Farrage told the people that he didn’t mean exactly what he said. On June 25 I tweeted that there is a chance that Uranus could turn the switch off again, as it is Uranus. Any way, don’t expect orderly processes with Uranus involved.

On the first of July 1916 the Battle at the Somme (a river in France) took the lives of thousands (and in the end even 1 million) of young soldiers. They fought in the mudd. May I recommend this movie just to make you feel the atmosphere? It is https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Un_long_dimanche_de_fiançailles

Here is the chart of the hour of the battle starting. Watch Uranus.

You immediately see the Yod on the horizon with Uranus in the 8th house of life and death inconjunct the Moon conjunct Saturn in 12. The houses are not pleasant and neither is the inconjunct. Saturn inconjunct Uranus points at blokkades and limited freedom. Mars-Uranus combinations warn for the risk of getting hurt or wounded. The Ascendant in Cancer with Moon in 12 shows a tendency of sacrifices.
That is what you see when you look at this chart as the chart of a battle.

On July 1916 Olivia de Havilland was born and she is still alive. There aren’s episodes of wounds in her life. Perhaps she had beauty surgery, I don’t know, but apparently she is OK.

The same characteristics that don’t favor an attack, helped her in her carreer: stubborness and ambition. She married twice and divorced twice. Now let’s see in what way her chart and the chart of the Somme are different.

Her’s has Ruler 1 in 9 conjunct MC (that is usually a positive sign).
The Ruler 1 of the Battle was Moon in 12, remember?

Lots of astrologers feel that the 5th and 9th are lucky houses (like the one’s Mrs de Havilland has) and 8 and 12 are the houses that you won’t want to live inJ

It is so clear that you immediately see the differences between the chart of the Battle and that of Mrs de Havilland, who won Oscars.

Every chart has to be seen in the light of the circumstances. To start a battle with Neptune in the first house and so many inconjuncts and placements in 12 and an Apex in 8 is not recommended. It was one of the most bloody battles ever for both sides. The beautiful movie star had better placements and of course a better start than in a muddy field with 50% chance to loose your life. Still I wonder in what way the Yod manifested in her life. Anyone? I guess that nobody would have expected that the battle would take so many lives and that nobody would have thought that Mrs de Havilland would be such a star. That is what Uranus does: surprise and shock you.

UK Elections, Transit Uranus-progressed Sun and Saturn in 12

On May 7 there are general elections in the UK. It may be hard to form a government as the number of seats required doesn't match with the number of seats of any party in the polls. The conservatives of David Cameron are still number 1 in the polls, today, but they will need a partner. So, David Cameron could win, and still loose. And Milliband can win and never enter Downing Street. At least, that is what I understand about it. It explains the complicated picture in their charts. There is, however, one thing about their charts that makes me very interested in the results of the elections. That is this.
When David Cameron won in 2010, his progressed Sun was exactly trine transit Uranus. Now, in 2015 the progressed Sun of Ed Milliband will be exactly sextile transit Uranus!
Does it mean who wins and moves into Downing Street 10? Or is a Uranus transit a real surprise? And are trines better than sextile are? We will know it on May 8!
Stuff for study!

So I started to have a look at the charts of Cameron and Milliband and here I tell you what I found.
Even though Ed Milliband’s chart is B rated and David Cameron’s is A rated, that doesn’t mean that he will be second in the electionsJ
WHAT will tell us who will win the elections?

I compared the charts and noticed that David Cameron has a stronger profile for a leader than Ed Milliband, who is more an ideologist. The transits and progressions of both reveal stress, pressure and tension right now, and that is understandable.

CAMERON
It seems that Mr. Cameron forgot to please the growing number of people suffering from the financial and economic crisis. Maybe they take their revenge on May 7? Let’s see about the charts. I ‘did’ David Cameron’s chart before and noted:
- Sun is 'calling' (not making major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees)That is reflecting leadership (drawing attention at any possible level)- Mars is 'calling' too and so is JupiterThe combination of these 3 prominent placements points at successes.
OK, he became PM and that is about the highest position a civilian male can get.

MILLIBAND
Now how about Ed Milliband? Here is his chart (December 24, 1969, 14:00 hours in London) with transits and progressions for May 7 2015.

He has Neptune rising before the Sun for the ideology (socialism, in this case) and a Capricorn Sun exactly trine Saturn, accompanied by a ‘calling’ Mercury. This mirrors a serious communicating man of hierarchy and state, especially because of his Capricorn Midheaven. Then we get to the house ruler X: Saturn. With Capricorn on MC and Saturn in 12 we seem to have a problem. But is that so?

Saturn in 12
The 12th house is not supposed to be a pleasant position for Saturn as this is seen so often in the charts of inmates. However, as almost 1/12th of the people has a 12th house Saturn, there must be another interpretation.  CafeAstrology mentions ‘plagued with guilt’ and ‘escapism’ and that doesn’t sound good either. IndianAstrology says that with Saturn in 12 you might be afraid of life itself! However, this didn’t stop George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Jacques Chirac and Vladimir Putin  to become the number 1 of the nation!
So let me interpret Saturn in 12 like this: you are the manager or in control behind the scenes and one of the best pro secret service agentsJ. I see the 12th house as the house of the media (everything that includes an image and a certain distance from real life out there). With Saturn in that house you can be a professional mediagenic person. Just watch Astrotheme’s long list of VIP Saturns in 12: http://www.astrotheme.com/celebrities/saturn/m12/1.htm including Bono and Robert Redford.

So, Saturn in 12 doesn’t mean that he won’t be MP. On the contrary.

Here is David Cameron's chart for May 7:

Now let’s compare the charts of both.
David Cameron’s Sun-Mars-Jupiter prominence shows a lot of energy and drive and chances of success. Ed Milliband’s chart only has a prominent Mercury in the natal chart. Will communicating skills be able to win?
Both have Out of Bounds Moons, but the Moon of Milliband is more 'out of bounds' than Cameron's is.

Interesting is the synastry between the candidates: the Sun of Milliband is opposition the Midheaven of David Cameron (he shines when the status of Cameron is involved)? The progressed Sun of Cameron is inconjunct the progressed Ascendant (if that IS the Pr Asc!) of Milliband.
The synastry doesn’t reveal much about the results, but in my country the press mentions that Cameron’s rather good results in the field of economy are overshadowed by the fact that he forgot about the natural followers of Labour…But will he win?

ELECTION DAY

Let’s see about the transits and progressions!
On election day, Pluto (for politics, power and pressure) is all around.

1. David Cameron has transit Pluto exactly square the natal Sun.
There is also transit Saturn inconjunct his natal Midheaven. That is a very difficult aspect. I have seen this transit before, when people fell off their pedestal or lost their position.  But let me remind you of Obama, winning with heavy bad Saturn transits: they were related to the family.

2.  Pluto is pretty close to the supposed to be (B rated birth data actually means: unsure) MC of Milliband
He also has a frustrating and painful Sun semi square Chiron in the progressed chart, exactly (!) and there is in a Saturn inconjunct Saturn period of life (when you have to let go of certain ambitions).

Both have their problems. Charts don’t ‘predict a winner.

TRANSIT URANUS - PROGESSED SUN
There is an interesting similarity that is worth studying.
In the chart of Cameron in May 2010 - when his party won - he had progressed Ascendant square Jupiter. That was also with transit Uranus exactly trine his progressed Sun.
Now Milliband has transit Uranus exactly sextile Progressed Sun...! And if he was born just 5 minutes later, his progressed MC will be trine Jupiter.
So after May 7 we will know if the harmonious aspect of transit Uranus with progressed Sun means that positive change (and winning!)
(Just thinking: One of the things that leaders in the USA and UK have to face when they win or loose is, that they have to move out of the house. That is stress, that is change and that is suddenly. Very Uranus!)

MORE TO CONSIDER
For a better check, I tried to include the MC of the final moment on Election Day, but there is nothing much to see except that the Moon of that moment is in aspect with the Jupiter’s of both men. Maybe at that time it's still unknown who wins and both are still full of hope.
I also wonder what it means that they both have an angular Ixion in their Solar Return charts. Should this indicate the prominent theme of guests and hosts and ‘the bad guys’? Or does it mean that they point at each other for that? And Cameron has a SR with Sun opposition Uranus (...) AND Mars trine Jupiter, exactly. While Milliband's SR has a perfect trine between MC and Jupiter.

In June, Ed Milliband will have Jupiter inconjunct his MC and David Cameron's Progressed MC wil receive a trine from Jupiter.
Very confusing!

SO...
Well, we’ll see it on May 7. There is no real victorious happy aspect, only Pluto for Politics and Power struggle. And as Europe is in charge in many ways, it doesn’t make much difference who wins, I’d say. Except for the persons and parties involved, of course…The fact that Milliband has the same kind of transit/progression as Cameron had in 2010 makes me think that Labor has a better chance. But it is a transit of Uranus and you know Uranus...Uranus is the symbol of a surprise and of sudden change and... of nerves. Uranus transit won't tell us what kind of a change it will be until it is time.

The 12th house boarding school in Paris Jackson's chart

A few years ago I payed attention to Paris Jackson's dramatic chart and now that I read in the papers that her stay in a clinic probably will be prolonged for years, I had a look at the progressions, transits and natal of the child that lived with late Michael Jackson and doesn't even know who her biological father is.  She tried to commit suicide earlier this year and is now living in a therapeutic boarding school for some time. Does her chart show this? Yes, it does, certainly given her extraordinary circumstances.

Here is the chart (click to enlarge):

ISSUES IN HER NATAL CHART
The combination of Mars-Saturn-Pluto (Mars tightly conjunct Saturn in 12 and sesquiquadrate Pluto) in the 8th house is a strong indication for the theme of untimely death and a danger for taking dramatic steps. This combination is dangerous. See the examples: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/search/label/Mars%20Saturn%20Pluto

After she tried to take her life, I mentioned the importance of this combination and concluded
So, it is important to watch her carefully. She tends to drastic measures.
And
Moon inconjunct Uranus is the key to exceptional overreacting.

There is more about the Moon inconjunct Uranus. Moon inconjunct Uranus is also pointing at not being like the rest of the family (read this...). I think it also refers to alienation. In the case of Paris Jackson the mother was out of sight for years and the biological father is unknown. As an orphan she is now living far away from what she used to see as her family. This aspect must be harder for a Moon in Cancer with the need to belong and feel close.

DEATH OF FATHER
The death of her father had great impact: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2009/07/someone-pointed-at-post-on-astrologie.html and happened when
a. transit Saturn conjunct progressed ruler 8th house: death (8) of a parent (Saturn).
b. solar return Mars opposition Saturn on Midheaven (repeating her natal Mars-Saturn)
c. progressed Midheaven changing sign

UPCOMING TRANSITS AND PROGRESSIONS
1. Uranus-Pluto transits
Her natal Moon is at 10.66 Cancer. Her Sun is at 13.61 Aries. Mercury and MC are in the 19th of Aries and Capricorn.
With transit Uranus and transit Pluto hitting those degrees in the next years. First the Moon (again), then the Sun and later Mercury and Midheaven. There is also transit Uranus conjunct her Ascendant in May 2018, there is indeed a continuum of nervous challenges to be expected.

2. Progressed sun changing sign and later square Neptune
Her progressed Sun is at 28d59 Aries, moving to the next sign (Taurus), where the first important aspect will be the square with Neptune. When the progressed sun sign changes, life style changes, life itself changes, there are new prospects and with that: YOU change. It won't be easy in the next years, because Neptune confuses. With progressed MC conjunct Neptune she got out of the eyes of the public and with progressed Sun square Neptune it will be hard to fight disillusions and uncertainty. There is a sent of isolation with Neptune. As this all happens in the important period of the teenage years, the impact is enormous.

3. Right now progressed Moon in 10 in Capricorn is almost exactly square her natal Saturn (and that doesn't sound like being happy now). There may be even more concern for how and what she feels.

There happens to be a range of more than average changes, challenges and difficulties.
Nice girls shouldn't have to be sad for so long...

There is a lot of 12th house and Neptune in her chart. The classical idea of the 12th house includes asylums, clinics and other places of seclusion. The planets in her 12th house, the elevated ruler 12 Neptune and the upcoming square of progressed Sun with Neptune tell us about privacy and isolation.

A therapeutic isolated boarding school is very much in line with the 12th house and Neptune and seems to be a good place behind the scenes (and maybe screens:)  to be right now.  Hopefully one day she will be able to deal with "life" again. She got an important Jupiter and Venus to help her see the bright sides!

Home is where the heart is (Tina's Vesta)

Today the press writes about Tina Turner's change of nationality. She is Swiss now, instead of American. For a long time she lives in Switzerland and she speaks German fluently.

In the post on Astro Click Travel lines ( http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2013/06/more-astroclick-travel-lines.html ) I asked the question: does it work? Most of you said yes. But Tina's lines don't seem to correspond with those lines. There is no line over Switzerland, for example. Here is her astro click portrait:
In the natal chart Saturn is conjunct Vesta in the 9th house and the Sun (ruler 1) is in 4. Ruler 4 Pluto is in 12. And now Transit Neptune (ruler of the 8th house) is inconjunct Pluto (ruler 4)!  Progressed Sun square Uranus adds some more change and controversy or: NEWS. There is also progressed IC trine Uranus. How much more change of background (IC) would you like?

Perhaps most of the explanation is in that, but I choose to look at the progressed Vesta. Vesta is in her 9th house (the house of 'over there, abroad'). Progressed Vesta, still in 9, gradually moved to an inconjunction with her natal Sun. Her domicile (Vesta) gradually reached her heart (Sun), but (inconjunct!) in order to get to a point where she and her domicile became one (LOL, forgive my free thinking) there was something to give up (inconjunct).

I like to see Vesta as the symbol of home (where the fire place is) and the Sun as heart. Home is where the heart is and what you want to give up (inconjunct) your birth nationality for.

On happy houses and Transit Uranus square Sun/Moon

Real happy houses:), in Braunschweig Germany

ON HAPPY HOUSES
Recently I tried to verify the meaning of houses and rulers. Are they telling is something about a situation? Here is an example.

Someone close who had hot water over him with transit Uranus opposition Sun has a Uranus ruling the happy 5th house and Uranus sits in the 9th. In Indian astrology the 5th and 9th are the happy houses. (Maybe that helped, but who really verifies that?). He would have been more lucky if the water had fallen the other way.

EXPERIENCE: MY TRANSIT URANUS SQUARE SUN/MOON
See the September 6 post about Neptune conjunct my Ascendant (and Uranus square my Sun/Moon), both exact on September 4 and you may see that transits of Uranus are alarming, but what happens is not necessarily happening to you.

Here is another reminder of that fact:
  • On August 31, 2012 I tweeted:
"Transit Uranus exactly semisquare progressed sun and I had an alarming call today: mother broke hip."
That moment certainly changed my way of life. She never recovered completely.
Uranus works like an alarm bell ringing. And my Uranus is co-ruler of 12 and in the 5th, with transit Uranus in the 1st house, in both cases.

Now how to get that lucky 5th house interpreted?

Jupiter and the Knox appeal

In the earlier post about the Knox appeal I said that I would be back on the subject. Amanda Knox is on her way back home now. She and Raffaele Sollecito have been found innocent. (Amanda was found guilty of slaunder, however.) This post is about the effect of (transit) Jupiter in her 12th house. You see, she has a number of aspects of transit Jupiter now as you can see in the included chart. This transit of Jupiter was square natal Midheaven and sesquisquare progressed Sun/Moon, inconjunct progressed Descendant and inconjunct AC/MC and Jupiter is in the natal 12th house. I, too, have a twelfth-house-Jupiter and when I had transit Jupiter conjunct Jupiter all that happened was that I was saved from things that could have been worse*), like Else Parker wrote in 1953. She said: "Jupiter’s transit through the 12th house contributes to to the idea that all dark and difficult things ‘ might have been worse".
OCTOBER 3, 2011

Quote:
The chart above shows the transits and progressions with the natal chart of Amanda Knox.

In a normal situation the number of transits of Mars and Jupiter in a tight aspect with her Ascendant, Midheaven and Uranus could indicate relief, at least and more positively: a success. Also, transit Jupiter on the midpoint Sun/Moon in the progressed chart is a positive indication. Jupiter is important in the chart of Amanda Knox (rising before the Sun and ruling the Moon in Sagittarius), so the transits of Jupiter are important as well. The 12th house position of natal and transit Jupiter sometimes has a strange effect, however. I also don't want to underestimate Saturn's transit sesquisquare the progressed Midheaven, even if that transit isn't exact any more, even though there is growing belief in the innocence of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito. There is also growing hope in the chart of Amanda Knox.

*) Of course, the transit of Jupiter of my story was no square my MC or sesquisquare my Sun/Moon and therefore less important)

Roman Polanski and Jupiter...

Roman Polanski will not be sent to the USA, not by Switzerland. Jupiter seems to be illustrating the positive verdict.

With progressed Sun semi square natal Jupiter and transit Jupiter trine progressed Mercury, Roman Polanski had two indications for a fortunate, though perhaps somewhat frustrating day (semi square, Jupiter in 12 for counting his blessings, but still in exile....). The trine mirrors a solution (something changing the smooth way) and Mercury-Jupiter is a nice combination for a verdict in your advantage. To complete the picture, transit Uranus quindecile Ascendant shows the strong drive to be free and the tension. Here is the chart:

He is now free to go where he pleases, except... in the USA, the UK and several other countries willing to transport him to the USA. He will have to stay in France or Switzerland for the rest of his life.

The fairy tale king and his 12th house castle

One of the most famous castles in the world and certainly one of the most fairy tale-like castles is Neuschwanzstein in Bavaria (Bayern), Germany. The idea to build a castle in the tradition of the Middle Ages (in the eyes of a person living in the decade of Romance) came from king Ludwig II who wanted a very private place, a refuge. Why? Because he was shy and a romantic person with fantasy. It is so easy to see the need for privacy and isolation in his chart that I just had to show you.

SHY
1. Moon in Pisces
2. Moon in 12th house
3. This Pisces 12th house Moon is ‘ calling’ (no Ptolemaic aspets in sign or orb 5 degrees) so that the need for privacy (Pisces 12th house) could reach any level (mountain high☺
4. Neptune on Midheaven

ROMANTIC
1. Moon in Pisces
2. Moon trine Venus (out of sign)
3. Moon ‘ calling’ (no Ptolemaic aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees)
4. Venus biquintile Neptune
5. Neptune on Midheaven
(6. Venus trine Quaoar for shaping beautiful new realities)

MOON-NEPTUNE-PISCES
The Pisces Moon and Neptune on Midheaven are in the list of indications for the need to have privacy and in the list of indications for romantic and perhaps artistic talents. Beautiful and more complicated things can’t be created without moments of silence and isolation. And, in moments of silence and isolation creative ideas pop up with more ease. It took the mind, influence and money of a shy and romantic sensitive king to imagine a romantic and fine shaped isolated castle that would impress many many tourists and visitors. But there is a less romantic side: in his final years they isolated him against his will. His life and death have always been food for fantasy and mystery. In 2007 the granddaughter of a countess revealed a jacket with two bullet holes that explained his strange death (he ‘ drowned’ although he was a perfect swimmer). He never married and there is still a controversy about him being homosexual (or not, which seems to me unlikely). He was engaged to a niece of Sissy and the marriage was cancelled probably for that reason. They limited his freedom in his later years (Saturn/Uranus = Sun/Moon) because he didn’t function as a king should do and because he was too shy to be considered a normal person. They said he had paranoia. Noone knows what more reasons they had…
Anyway, he dreamt and romanced his life away, spending too much money and was perhaps murdered in the end. It is an intruiging story and sad, like all romantic stories, but: with a happy end after death. He left us Neuschwanzstein and inspired Walt Disney…You can see the chart of Walt Disney on Art&Astrololgy, the Astropost blog about the pattern of artistic talents in natal charts…

DEATH
BTW On the day of his death there were many aspects:
- Progressed Mars was semi square progressed Midheaven ( a conflict, fire, shooting)
- both Quaoar and Pholus were in aspect with progressed Venus (preferences and sympathies on a turning point)
- Transit Pluto was conjunct natal Moon and
- transit Uranus trine natal Moon (together a sudden dramatic experience)
- Progressed Moon was square progressed Mars (a period of anger and aggression, need to exercise or be assertive).
(Notice Mars-Uranus-Pluto related to the Moon for a sudden dramatic and aggressive moment)
- Transit Saturn square natal Uranus and semi square natal Pluto (a sudden dramatic ending or farewell)
- Transit Saturn opposition Pholus rx adds the question of ‘ shooting own feet’
- Transit Saturn is sesquisquare natal Midheaven (the frustrating end of a position or condition).
- Transit Neptune inconjunct Descendant (betrayal, grieve or disappointment with a loss involved)

Three years earlier his progressed Sun was square Pholus and opposition Uranus, indicating a sudden and controversial turning point. In 1883 he did nothing more than bestowing the ‘ Bad’ on Kissingen Bavaria as far as we know. However, in this mysterious life a lot of facts remain unknown.

The Moon (house) in Pisces (like a fairy tale) in 12th house (refuge)....the translation for Moon Pisces 12 might be a fairy tale (Pisces) house (Moon) in an isolated place or ment for privacy (12th house)

Obama in good condition (Double Venus-Midheaven)

Jupiter's transit over the Ascendant of President Obama hasn't helped him to quit smoking, but with progressed Venus square Midheaven right now, we know that he can rejoyce in a good condition anyway. The doctors said that he is in excellent health (see Business Week). Venus, the symbol of harmony and pleasure, often makes wishes come true, so who knows...maybe he wished that his health bill passes:).

Here below is the chart of a man who has been adviced to bring his cholesterol level down and...quit smoking, and here is the link to the smoker in the chart of Barack Obama...For more about and around Obama, just click the label.

Jupiter return

Transit Jupiter conjunct natal Jupiter is Jupiter return. Everybody has a Jupiter return every 12 year. My Jupiter return charts give some indication of the way that I developed or grew in the Jupiter return years. I grew when I was pregnant in 1974. I grew 12 kilo after that I quit smoking in 1986 (Jupiter inconjunct Moon in my return chart). My salary grew in 1998 (Sun on top in the return chart). And today I have another Jupiter return (see drawing) and I wonder: will I grow again!@?

My experience with Jupiter return is that there is little measurable effect on the day of the return itself. I was pregnant already in 1974 and pregnant women grow... More direct effect had 1998. But in 1986 the moment of Jupiter return had it's effect weeks and months later! To quit smoking and grow 20% you need to have confidence first, stop it later and start growing...

Jupiter return is not reflecting a specific event.
Jupiter return offers some insight in a possible development, mostly in the years that everybody has to make choices for the next step: 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72...schooling, profession, career, midlife crisis ending, preparing for pension, etc. Jupiter might help to make the right choices, because Jupiter is the big positive advisor. With a positive attitude it is easier to succeed. Jupiter gives hope for the future and the conjunction starts a brand new period of new goals to reach.

A solar return chart is drawn for the moment that transit Sun is conjunct natal Sun. This moment might give insight in the year to come. Jupiter's return might give insight for the next 12 years.

I wonder who noticed the effect of Jupiter conjunct Jupiter on the specific day of the Jupiter return....In my opinion the conjunction just mirrors an awareness of possible positive developments, stimulated by an advice or book or just a compliment? Today, when I was surfing I noticed a few words about positive thinking. This reminded me of calculating the Jupiter return moment and when I did, it was on right on Jupiter time. So maybe my Jupiter conjunct Jupiter is for calculating Jupiter's return:) That would be in line with the position of Jupiter in the 12th house of the return chart. Recently I noticed that Jupiter in the 12th house sometimes doesn't have an effect at all. So I guess that I shouldn't expect too much of this Jupiter return of mine. But that is not positive thinking, is it?

More about Jupiter in the 12th house...

The sunshine sunsign holiday guide

Was your holiday perfect? Or do you wonder where to go next time? Here is the astrological sun sign sunshine guide to help you on the way...Try to have a mix of the signs of the Sun, Moon, Ascendant and perhaps Venus, too, for you and your fellow travelers. Also consider the position of Jupiter in the chart! You find the info that you need on www.astro.com (free charts).
Check your sign...

Aries and Mars: activity, walking, biking, working...They need something to do! I know an Aries who insist to have active holidays. His Capricorn Ascendant leads him to mountain sides...

Taurus and Venus: lazy holidays, art and culture (drawing, painting), it is important for them to have good meals. I know a Taurus who doesn't leave without a bag full of food.

Gemini and Mercury: interesting places, trips with young folks, short trips and city trips, learning a foreign language abroad. It is important to have contact and often they need a dance floor or a dancing nearby.

Cancer and Moon: simple, not expansive and like at home (in a tent, caravan or in the house of relatives), back to the spot of last year again...Or why not stay at home or buy a home in another country (to feel at home wherever you are...). The Netherlands is a Cancer country with the highest number of caravans pro family in the world...

Leo and Sun: wants to have a party, glamour hotels and certainly not in a modest tent. Wants sunshine! Leo Ascendants like to give

Virgo and Mercury: useful trips to decent spots and virgin beaches, but why not to Switzerland (Virgo country)?

Libra and Venus: nice holidays with some luxury and comfort in beautiful areas.

Scorpio and Pluto: wild country sides, rough terrain, the challenging holiday, trips that require force or courage.

Sagittarius and Jupiter: country life (or on the balcony), exotic countries, educational trips or some place to brag about.

Capricorn and Saturn: climbing mountains, cold places, economic (...) holidays, crossing borders.

Aquarius and Uranus: group travel or with friends, city trips, something extraordinary or special (that no one else did before:), trip around the world.

Pisces and Neptune: swimming, sailing, cruises, indulging holidays but also: the trip to an isolated convent and ...going far, far away.

Signs and the position of Jupiter or placements in the houses of the movable signs (3, 6, 9, and 12) contain information about your preferences on vacation. I, for example, have Sun in Sagittarius, Moon in Aquarius and Pisces Ascendant conjunct Jupiter in 12. I am not surprised that I need to have at least a few days by or on the sea to feel that I hád a holiday. And when I have a holiday, I love to see cities, too.
I know a Capricorn boy who swears that he always wants to go to the mountains (ain't no mountain high enough!) and a Leo who refuses to sleep in a tent. How about you?

WHERE IS JUPITER?
Jupiter in 1: you could go alone or at least: find out how and what all by yourself (so you don't need this guide:)

Jupiter in 2: expenditure and value are important.

Jupiter in the houses 3, 4, 7 or 11: you prefer to go with others (family, friends) or others stimulate you to travel. While on your holiday spot, you want to have contact with other tourist or the locals.

Jupiter in 5: the pleasure of the kids is important, but... you love to travel a lot always.

Jupiter in 6: you need a purpose for a trip abroad and hygiene.

Jupiter in 8: risky and dangerous challenging trips...

Jupiter in 10: trips for your reputation or for your career or status

Jupiter in 12: going somewhere distant, incognito and whit a lot of privacy.

Right?

Of course there is more in the chart to help you select your (almost) perfect vacation. Here are some famous examples of the observations that you might take into consideration (like the ninth house, the house of traveling):

Michael Palin (the well known globetrotter) has Mars in the ninth house (work related journeys) and Jupiter in 12 in Cancer (distant travels but in a trusted environment). The ruler of Mars is Neptune in 3. The connection between the houses 3 and 9 is indicating education or publicity. It is very important to impress or be impressed (Pluto conjunct de Leo Ascendant). I wonder where he goes for holidays. I assume it will be in a secret place (12th house Jupiter) on a country side (Taurus Moon and Sun).

Princess Máxima of The Netherlands likes to make short trips to cities (Milano; Moon in Aquarius in 3). When she has a long stay abroad, she wants privacy (Jupiter in 12 in Sagittarius; she and her husband Prince William-Alexander sue AP for making pictures of them while they were skiing in Argentina) and goes far away, to exotic places (like Africa). With Neptune ruler 4 in 12 she lives in another continent since her marriage.

Agatha Christie loved to travel and she had Jupiter in the 5th house.

Angelina Jolie has Jupiter on Midheaven and the Moon in the 9th house of international traveling. She has houses (Moon) all over the world.

PS Maybe you developed a different style of traveling? Have a look at your progressive Sun sign, too, to see why. I for example had the progressed Sun in Capricorn since I was 10. The first trip that I booked was to the French Alps. (I wonder if I will do cruises only when the progressed Sun changes sign to Pisces:)

Whatever you do and wherever you go: take care and have a nice holiday to look forward to!
