George W. Bush and Eris on 09-11

On September 4, 2011, National Geographics interviews GW Bush about 09-11's impact. He says that he never wanted to be a President of war. But, on 09-11 his progressed Sun was inconjuct natal Eris, symbol of discord (and the start of fights). The attack of foreign terrorists is one of the ways that Eris migt manifests herself in the chart of the leader of the most powerful nation on earth. 

There were more transits and progressions,  of course . One of those is the aspect that is causing problems for Obama now: transit Neptune inconjunct Progressed Sun. The two joined inconjuctions on 09-11 show the loss of balance and how GWB was being struck by the event. See that post about the charts of the president and his wife on September 11. Uranus and Pholus on the Ascendant are reflecting the sudden shocking turning point and his tension. The chart shows only his view and his personal reaction, not a predictable event. Who could have guessed that the USA would be attacked in NY City on September11? Even the fact that the chart of the President has more than 3 difficult aspects within a couple of weeks doesn't mean that it 

a) would happen to others than himself 

b) would happen in NY 

c) would happen on 09-11 (unless the birth time of this AA rated chart would be corrected so that the progressed Ascendant would be exactly square natal Uranus). 

You know, when he had problems with his knee in July of 1995, and had to quit jogging, there were heavy transits of Uranus and Pluto and in the progressed chart the Midheaven was conjunct Uranus. It was shortly after a shocking event in American history. On April 19, 1995 (Oklahoma City bombing) with transit Uranus inconjunct the Sun of G.W. Bush and transit Eris opposition Jupiter.

Mohammed Atta, Eris and Pholus

On September 1, 1968 Mohammed Atta, one of the terrorists of 9-11, was born. His Saturn was on the descendant of the moment of the attack, indicating two things: his guilt/responsibility and his end. His Saturn was also conjunct the Midheaven of the President (George W. Bush). Atta was mentioned before on this blog (see  the link) but at the time I didn't use Eris or Pholus. Now I do. On September 11, 2001, the progressed Ascendant of George W.Bush, the President in those days, was square natal Uranus (a shocking situation) and the progressed Sun was inconjunct natal Eris (symbol of discord). Transit Neptune inconjunct Progressed Sun completed the disaster, the losts and the sadness. Transit Quaoar trine Ascendant shows the new reality on the horizon. Things changed and transit Pholus square his Ascendant made things change the hard way.

His wife Laura (link to more about her chart) was directed to the safe cellars of the White House. There were rumors about attacks planned on the White House. Transit Saturn square the natal Moon describes the sad experience.
 
HOW ABOUT YOU?
Almost everyone knows where he/she was when hearing/seeing the news of the Twin Towers, even if they were not directly involved. The chart of Presidents often correspond with events in the nation (during their government). The chart of G.W.Bush shows surprise/shock and a changing horizon/perspective. The inconjunction with Neptune is reflecting lost balance. When such tight aspects happen (three times) in your chart, there is likely to be an incident or event that will be remembered later.

The 3x double transits of September 11, 2001

The chart of the USA and the chart of September 11, 2001 in New York are strongly linked to each other. Three aspects relate one chart to the other one and back (vice versa, cross-over). Of course this can happen once, or twice, but three is a crowd, especially when the transits are in such a limited period of time and when they are significant for what happened. On the moment that changed the course of history there were 3x2 of the most challenging transits between the chart of Indepence Day and the chart of the first hit on September 11. Transit Ascendant-Saturn-Pluto and Uranus were related to Ascendant, Saturn, Pluto and Uranus of the USA chart when Mars hit the USA Midheaven.

In short:

1. Ascendant of USA- transit Pluto + USA Pluto – transit Ascendant

The combination of Pluto-Ascendant is resonating the semi square in the natal chart of the USA, born in the middle of Independence WAR.

Pluto-Ascendant is showing a dangerous or challenging situation. 

2. Progressed USA Ascendant-transit Saturn + USA Saturn-transit Ascendant

Saturn-Ascendant is mirroring a sad or bad situation.

3. Mars of USA – transit Uranus + USA Uranus + transit Mars

Mars-Uranus is the combination of the ‘short fuse’ and is very frequent in the chart of terrorist. See Astromarkt about Mars-Uranus…

There is also a repeating aspect in synastry and in the attack chart. Midheaven of USA-transit Mars + MC of moment – transit Mars. So Mars was hitting the Midheaven of the moment of attack + the Midheaven of the USA: the status quo was hit.
