JOHN EDWARDS, SATURN-URANUS and NEPTUNE-MC

Remember my Eros-post (and the mix-up with the hypothetical Cupid)? I wish I had not deleted it. In the chart of John Edwards, born Jun 10, 1953 at 7h02 in Seneca we see an angular hypothetical Cupid! At the moment transit Neptune is square his progressed Midheaven and transit Saturn inconjunct progressed Uranus. Time for a revelation, is not it? He 'confessed' that he had an affair in 2006.

Edwards has Sun and Moon in Gemini, Jupiter rising before the Sun, Venus (!!!) calling and in the tenth house (not making major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees). It is easy to see that he is a successful man, able to convince with charm and diplomacy. He is also a man who knows how to convince women... He must have had many female supporters. Another angular position is for Uranus, the planet for those who want to change the world to make it look better in their own eyes. An angular Uranus is a crucial Uranus. Independancy must be of crucial importance in his life. So are surprises!

Notice that Venus is calling and Uranus is angular (crucial), so that the combination for love affairs is highlighted in his chart. He is good looking and attractive for many women. I guess he was not 'safe' for the approach of women:)...

The other side is that his wife suffers from cancer (Moon sesquisquare Saturn - ruler 7 - and Neptune). This afflicted Moon in Gemini is also 75 degrees away from Pluto. The 75-degree aspect is somehow related to health issues, in my own experience. The fact that it is not John Edwards, but his wife who is ill makes one wonder about the meaning of the Moon in the chart of a male. With the Cancer Ascendant Moon rules his first house. You would expect physical conditions related to Saturn-Neptune, too. Health issues seem to be an important issue in his life.

NEPTUNE-MC
In 2006 he denied the affair. That was with the progressed MC inconjunct Saturn (ruler 7) and Neptune (ruler 10) and square Pluto (ruler 5). You see the misbalance in marriage, the difficulties to keep the position and the public scandal. Now, with T Neptune square the progressed MC, it all comes back again.

PROTOCOL AND LIMITATIONS
In the description of his character on Astrodatabank I read that Edwards has little regard for protocol. Protocol limits freedom and forces us to follow certain procedures and to stick to the rules. There is a connection between NOT following the official rules and Saturn-Uranus. Saturn is his ruler 7. Uranus is square Saturn and ruler 8, conjunct the Ascendant.

At the moment T Uranus is exactly inconjunct progressed Saturn, ruler 7, activating the issue of crossing the line. Nobody would have mentioned his affair, had not he been the running mate of John Kerry. In June 2004 Transit Saturn was conjunct Uranus and in July 2004: Solar Arc Uranus semi square Saturn. That year 2004 was the moment that his freedom was limited and he had to stick to the rules for the sake of his position. Saturn's aspects will be presented as a 'gift' later, wether you like it or not.

BTW Saturn-Uranus is not only the combination of limited freedom and restrictions. It is also the combination of the revelation (Uranus) of a mistake (Saturn). That is another reason why this combination (in transit or progression) is so frequent in the charts of those who enter jail.

INDICATIONS FOR PROBLEMS IN MARRIAGE
Edwards has 3 indications for difficult relationships.
1. Ruler 1 (Moon) sesquisquare ruler 7 (Saturn)
2. Moon afflicted by Saturn
3. Moon afflicted by Neptune
(The other indications are: Mars afflicting Uranus and Venus afflicting Neptune)

PS I always wonder why there is so much interest in the private affairs of politicians in the USA. On the other hand I have the idea that being trustworthy includes family life. A man, who is able to lie to his wife, can be a liar everywhere. That is good to be a perfect politician! You cannot be a politician if you are unable to keep silent when you have to. And I have not seen a completely honest politician who made it to the top, yet.

Mr. Edwards was selected to be the vice-president of the USA. Many Americans voted for this man. But Kerry lost and so did Edwards, in 2004.

NEPTUNE for killing you softly

Love, love, love, all we need is ...(well, I like chocolate, too:)

Love is a hot item. It seems everybody is looking for the perfect match and nobody wants to have romantic failures, suicide out of grieve or having to wait (in abstinence, of course) till age 70 to be together again. It is now or never! Neptune is under valuated:) Is that so?

Let me introduce you into the world of romantic love. Once upon a time there was a poet in my country (Herman Gorter) who wrote a very impressive poem about the death of a female friend. It was called 'In the black night' and it describes the way she died, drowning herself. I cannot fully translate it, but I will give an impression of the sentences that I like most of all. You know, I just love poems and their emotional impact:)!

and the wind blew, heavy and wearing black mourning clothes

Wow, that is romance. Herman was a friend of the family and he was struck by the death of the young singer, Anna Witsen, on March 5, 1889. She threw herself into the water, because of grieve out of love for a married man. And I have her chart.


She was born February 3, 1855 at 11:00 LMT in Amsterdam, the sister of a painter. She was talented and well known. Venus was high up in her chart, Jupiter was oriental. You can easily see the drama in her chart:

1 Passion!
Venus conjunct Mars (for passion) square Moon and Ascendant (unusual passionate behavior)
2. Emotion!
Prominent Moon in Leo, tightly square Ascendant, with only oppositions (for the troublesome drama queen; that was perfect on stage, less welcome at home…)

Please consider the period in time (the ROMANTIC period) and the position of women (who should not be involved with married men, if they ever wished to be married themselves).And who knows, maybe she was pregnant.

SATURN AND NEPTUNE
On March 5, 1889, the ticking biological clock in the shape of Saturn was opposition her natal Sun and inconjunct Neptune. (Do we see something sick, sad and ill?)
Neptune was of importance that day. Her natal sun was semi sextile Neptune. And there was transit Sun conjunct Neptune that day, to activate the issue. And yes, transit Neptune was also square her progressed Midheaven for the illusions.

It is unusual 'romance', even for the romantic 19th century. Her tragic death inspired one of Holland’s' best poets and that is why I posted it. Her Neptune was trine his MC**). Suicide may be a source of inspiration, but for most of us, the ultimate effect of a sad Neptune can be missed, like tooth ache!

PS In the chart of Anna, Venus-Mars is 75 degrees from Uranus, adding a sort of an obsession or compulsion to the passion (and maybe this is relating the passion to an impulse?).

OBESE AND ASTROLOGY Why we are fat and what part of the chart is to be blamed for it...

I found this lovely demonstration of evolution on a Belgian site about moving and dieting. Yes, ‘we' have grown (me, too!), but some grow faster than others do. A recent study showed that women get the shape of an apple and that we have 18 centimeters more (horizontally:) than our grandmothers had. In about 50 years the bodies of women will have the same shape as that of men (from behind). I think Ceres (see picture below) can be blamed for that. I bet she did not have 88-58-88!

Ceres – symbol of nutrition - has evolved from asteroid to dwarf planet. At the same time, people are growning and governments are more and more aware of it. Today it was published that (in the UK) schools will warn the parents when their children have extreme overweight (due to too many pizza's)!

LET US BLAME OUR CHART...
The birth chart shows your talent for growing by eating. And the birth chart gives you the keys to stop growing, too. But let's first blame our chart for the weight that we already have. Let us blame Venus, Jupiter, the Moon and the Ascendant and let us prove it! There are enough examples. And on the bottom of this post there is an advice that will motivate all star signs in their own way.


Blame VENUS, for all the nice and sweet things in the world
The planet Venus makes things pretty, nice and sweet. Do you love sweet things too much? You might have a conflict with Venus in that case. Venus is also the planet of love and affection. And if you need love and affection, but you don't get it, there is an easy way to sooth the desire with sugar. A conflict between Venus and Jupiter points at too much sugar. And when Venus is afflicting the Ascendant, you not only look 'too sweet' but you also use to much sweetness or make-up. Examples?

Blame it on JUPITER, the one that makes you fat
Jupiter is the symbol of everything that is great, big and fat. That is because Jupiter is the biggest planet in our solar system. Astrology sometimes has simple messages:) Jupiter rules fat, progress and fortune. In many cultures, up till today, being fat is a good sign. That is the positive side.

When Jupiter is conjunct the Ascendant, in the first house or afflicted by Sun, Moon, Venus or Ascendant, there is a chance that you get overweight. This is especially so when Jupiter is in gluttonous sign like Pisces or Cancer. There is a slight chance that being fat won't harm you. In that case there is no affliction, just an aspect. Or should it be more easy to gain weight? Do you want examples?

Blame it on the MOON for greed and habitsYou don't get fat just like that. You have to work for it. And the activity it takes is: eating, a lot of eating! Do you like sweet food (Moon-Venus) or do you like to eat a lot (Moon-Jupiter) or do you have a problem with food (Moon-Pluto)? Do you have the Moon in a sign that makes you round (Cancer or Pisces) or large (Leo or Sagittarius)? It might be that your Moon is excessive (Scorpio) or the Moon is in a sign that like to have a kitchen filled with food (Taurus)? If any part of the chart can be blamed, it is the Moon! Examples:

Have you got the ASCENDANT in the right rising (...) sign?
You cannot help it when you have an ascendant that makes you fat. Blame your ascendant Pisces, Cancer, Sagittarius or Leo if you like to show off your wealth (Leo), feed yourself (Cancer, let yourself go (Pisces) or simply grow (Sagittarius). Especially when Saturn does not help you at all!

AND IS IT COINCIDENCE THAT AN EXTRA SYMBOL OF NUTRITION, CERES, HAS BECOME MORE IMPORTANT IN THE LAST YEARS?
Ceres, the dwarf planet is the symbol of nutrition. Ceres is close to the Ascendant of Oliver Hardy, opposite Venus in the chart of Roseanne Barr and Elvis Plresley and on top of the chart of Churchill. So Ceres was active all along, but now she is being taken serious!

CONCLUSION
It takes an accumulation (...) of indications in your chart to grow real fat. And it is not just caused by eating. Not moving (for example when you sit and watch this screen, like now) is very helpful, too.

To have enough space to have some extra later: sleep more and move without pasture.

To save money, buy less! And drink a lot of water.
Leo
Consider it a game, win the race to loose weight and start showing off!
Virgo
To serve yourself, just diet. Then after a few weeks time, take a look in the mirror and enjoy the results (if you can:).
Libra
Buy a good balance, to be in balance, but whatever you do, do it together!
Scorpio
To show how drastic you are, be strict, fanatic and inflexible and get in control!
Sagittarius
To be able to coach others, find your own best method, more likely a flexible one:)
Capricorn
Just be economic and save energy by eating less. You know that food don’t last.
Aquarius
Do the latest diet to show the world that they can do better, too. Don't push it too far so that you have a safe return back on earth.
Pisces
Sacrifice yourself for the mirror’s sake! Swimming does not make us slimmer, but as long as you swim, you cannot eat. That goes for dancing, too.

You don't have to take it all that serious. And I am not making fun of it. Eating is a serious thing. So is growing fat. My contribution to less fat in the world can only be: less sitting and writing. I will try to beat THAT addiction:)

ASTROLOGY CHART JOEL OSTEEN

Joel Osteen can talk for hours. That is not amazing when you notice that Mercury (the planet of communications) is prominent in his chart. Mercury is in then 25th of Aquarius, rising before the Sun and Mercury is calling in his chart. Mercury does not make major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees. Joel Osteen was born March 5, 1963 in Houston (Texas). The hour of birth is unknown.

Of course we see (the possibility of) religion in his chart! Pisces-Sagittarius and Jupiter-Neptune are related to spiritual convictions. We see:
- Sun in Pisces
- Sun trine Neptune, tightly
- Moon in Cancer is trine Jupiter and trine Neptune (a big trine). Jupiter is in Pisces
And I bet that Jupiter and Neptune are related to the Midheaven. Also, if Osteen was born at a.m., his Moon will be translating light to have the Sun related to Jupiter AND Neptune.



Joel Osteen is in the news today, and is it about something up there again:). His wife has been accused by a stewardess of Continental Airlines, Sharon Brown. She says that Joel Osteen's wife caused her anxiaty and...hemorrhoids (LOL: she was pushed against the toilet door, that is why perhaps:) in a discussion/fight about a dirty spot on her seat. I don't think this will harm Joel Osteen much, but there are indications for a certain move. His progressed Sun (about to change sign for another lifestyle!) is trine transit Pluto.

OBAMA AND T NEPTUNE symbol of the media

Transit Neptune is inconjunct Obama's Mars and 105 degrees from Obama's Neptune right now. In his natal chart Mars is semi square Neptune. The transit Masrs-Neptune is activating the existing aspect in Obama's birth chart (see above).

This occurs at the moment that people seem to be getting tired of the overload of 'Obama' in the media. (Neptune is the symbol of the media and of everything that you cannot really touch or have a grip on). Neptune has a top position in the chart of Obama. That shows us the importance the 'media' (television, movies, photo's) in his life. So this transit might actually hurt his imago or at least attack it until the second half of October. It is of course election time! And after all the activities of the last months, Obama might be tired of the media and 'romancing the stone', too:).

In my country there is a saying that if you want someone to get out of the life of your children, just praise the person away!:) Neptune can be a soft killer. But as long as you know it, you are in control.
