Supercentanarians' charts, like Besse Berry Cooper

Even though my grandmother used to say 'Old?!!! The devil is old', some people do get real old. People like Besse Berry Cooper, for example. She is a supercentanarian born August 26 1896. Let's see if the positions on her day of birth correspond with those of the very old persons in my study 'Astrology and Age' on Astropost. Well, they do. Just like the average old person she has more positions in Earth and Air signs than in Fire and Water. Of course there is more...Jupiter rises before her Sun (optimism) and with Saturn inconjunct Pluto she is a real 'die hard' without much balance (a bit too old). Sun inconjunct Ceres refers to the importance of genes and food. The square between Jupiter and Uranus might be important because of angularity, but how can we know without hour of birth?:) not... 

So here is the chart for her day of birth. The positions are valid for everyone born on that day. They didn't all become as old as Mrs. Besse Berry Cooper. That is because there are more factors than a chart.

Charts have their meaning for the character, but genes, circumstances, wars and other dangers are just as important as character is. Positions in a chart (the complete chart with hour of birth of the chart of the day of birth) should be interpreted with the situation and the genes in mind. Donald Trump for president? About Pluto in his chart.

Donald Trump announced that he is considering to be the Republican nominee for the presidency in 2012 and that he might spend $200 million dollar in order to win the elections. When Pluto is ‘calling’ in’ a chart (and when you have enough money to spend) it is hard to resist the call for power.

Pluto is the symbol of power, strategy, manipulation, influence, force and …politicis. Pluto doesn’t make a major aspect in sign or orb 5 degrees in the natal chart of Donald Trump. That means that Pluto will be manifested at any level, somehow, anyhow. His Pluto is square the Taurus Midheaven. It is a sort of a vocation to resonate Pluto in the career. His objective (Midheaven) is ‘to have’ (Taurus). Taurus is the money sign, related to the second house of money. Pluto is related to the 8^th house of values. The combination of 2-8 and Venus-Pluto is the money axis. In the chart of Donald Trump there are no planets, sun or moon in earth signs. The absence of positions in earth signs creates a ‘call’ for material security. That is the driving force behind Donald Trump. 100 year old birthday party

Yesterday I saw a television item about the birthday party of a 100 year old woman who was also reunited with her son after a separation of 20 years, so that she could celebrate her birthday in the presence of all her children. She, or should I say the chart of her day of birth, is such a nice example of how astrology works.

One of her 'recipes' for getting old, she said, was 'keeping interest in the other gender' and 'having fun'. The birth chart has a tight Venus quintile Jupiter.*) The quintile is a creative (and inventive) aspect. Venus-Jupiter is the combination for popularity, parties and pleasure. Now that she is  100 year old the progressed Sun is conjunct Venus, highlighting the nice sides of life and ...bringing peace with her child.

Here is the chart of August 18, 1910. Watch the percentage of placements in the Earth and Air signs. That is in line with one of the findings that I published on Astromarkt ('The astrology of getting very old')  and with the examples that you find when you click the label 'old'.

*) Besides: with the Moon in Aquarius, Venus and Jupiter would not be making Ptolomeic aspects in sign and/or orb 5 degrees and be 'calling' (that is: very prominent and expressing their energies at any possible level).

How long will your relationship last?

This post is about the effect of the elements and the length of a relationship. The composition of elements in your natal chart is one of the indications of how long you and a partner will be together. Of course there are other indications, too*). But the elements certainly have a big role to play.

Earth signs are the signs of realism and the wish to be respected. They are contributing to the length of relationships. Air signs are the signs of communications (and flirtations:). The fire signs are full of passion and the water signs are to be seduced (even though they like to belong to someone). The elements don't indicate if you will be faithful and true!:)

Capital signs take the initiative. The fixed signs hold on to what they have got. And the movable signs? They are not very stable.

Here are some famous examples:

Mel Gibson has 60% in fixed signs and that might be the reason why his marriage lasted more than 20 years.

Rihanna (20 February 1988) has Moon, Venus and Mars in fire signs, the signs of passion.
Chris Brown (5 May 1989) doesn't have any position in fire signs. He has Sun, Moon and Venus in Taurus, 60% in earth signs all together.

Dr. Robert Schuller (the television minister) has Moon, Venus and Mars in earth signs and that contributes to the length of his marriage.

Dutch Prince Bernhard (two daughters with two mistresses) had Venus and Mars in passionate fire signs. He did not divorce. He was a Cancer with 40% in watersigns.

His wife, Queen Juliana, had Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars in fixed signs. She knew about her husband's affairs and didn't divorce him after all.

John Kerry has Sun in Sagittarius, Moon and Mars in Gemini and Venus in Scorpio square Pluto. That is 3 times a flexible sign. He divorced and remarried a rich woman.

J.W. Jones, had Moon Venus and Mars in fire signs. Perhaps that explains the need for a lot of women.

John F. Kennedy had Sun and Venus in Gemini, Moon in Virgo (three times flexible signs) and he had Mars in Taurus. One woman was not enough for him.

Camille Parker Bowles waited all her life for the moment of her marriage (6 April 2005). She was the mistress of Prince Charles when they both were married. She has 50% in water signs.

Elisabeth Taylor has 50% in watersigns. She also has Gemini on the cusp of the 7th house of marriage. Gemini is an air sign and a double bodied sign. But that is another story. Read about that in the earlier post on this blog about multiple marriages and double bodied signs.

*) Strong indications for divorce are in the aspects between the 1st and 7th house and:
for women, afflictions between Sun-Mars, Sun-Uranus, Venus-Uranus or Mars-Saturn
for men, afflictions between Moon-Saturn, Moon-Neptune, Venus-Neptune or Mars-Uranus
When there are more 3 or more of these indications it is hard to get or stay married.

Oldest woman died (about age and astrology)

On September 1893 there were no planets or lights in fire signs and plenty in movable signs. María de Jesus, born in Corujo, Barcelas (Portugal) died today, at age 115. She had 4 placements in earth signs and 5 planets in air and that corresponds with the study I did about dying at young or old age. I found that placements in earth and air signs are more to be found in the charts of people who became very old and that in the charts of people who died at young age (due to accidents or illnesses) there were more placements in water and fire signs.
Apart from the combination of earth and air signs in her chart I see good luck in the 'calling' Venus and Jupiter. Venus and Jupiter are the planets of joy and fun.

In short: earth, air, Venus, Jupiter and movable signs attributed to the length of her life.

María de Jesus died with progressed Sun inconjunct Neptune. It is been told that she never had coffee or alcohol in het life and that she became a widdow at age 57. Transit Pluto is now inconjunct her prominent Jupiter. Two inconjunctions at the time tell us that she had to let go. And perhaps her natal chart (with a known ascendant, midheaven and position of the Moon) would show more.

GERTRUDE BAINES
Now Gertrude Baines is the oldest woman alive. She was born April 6, 1894 in Shellman and has no placements in earth signs, but ...50% in air and 50% in movable signs! She has a 'calling' Sun and Mercury with Sun semi square Venus and Jupiter. Venus and Jupiter are the planets that make life fun. And perhaps these planets reflects a pleasure in life that makes you stay on earth as long as you can.

Astrology chart of Hitler, the short way

On my site Astromarkt I once published an article in Dutch about the natal chart of Hitler, the man who had one ball short (yes, we know for sure now).

In that article I wrote that with 50% of the positions in earth and none in water, you could easily see that he was rather 'hard'. Without placements in the water signs you can nevertheless be very sentimental about small issues, and it seems that Adolf Hitler was too.
I wrote that the combination of the ambitious Moon in Capricorn with the persistent Sun in Taurus could eventually lead to a rise in position. And that the Moon in the 3rd house sometimes CAN lead to prejudice (having your opinion determined by the changes of the day and the group you belong to). And I wrote about Mercury conjunct Descendant and without Ptolemaic aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees. This 'calling' Mercury means that this is the chart of a communicator (and a sometimes unreasonable one). You can try to read the story on Astromarkt..., or ... you can have a quick look at the chart using the method that I describe in my book Astro I.D. *), the short way:

Sun and Uranus are calling**), Mercury is angular = crucially rising before the Sun...
That tells us that we deal with a : controversial - URANUS - communicator - MERCURY - and leader - SUN -. or someone with controversial opnions that are being noticed.

It is also a tough man (much earth, no water) with a passion (Venus-Mars conjunction). Politics are to be found in the link between Pluto and the midpoint Sun/Moon that shows that he is a politician in heart and soul and that he has the need to be influencial, powerful, rich or ...sexy. BTW, Pluto is in the 8th house of sex,life and death and problems. In this case, with Pluto in the 8th house, problems with sex and power. And that brings us back to the first alinea.

PS Pluto is tightly sesquisquare Uranus. The combination of Uranus and Pluto often cause immediate changes or force those kind of changes.
PPS Notice that Ceres (not in the drawing) is on top of this chart in the 29th degree of Cancer. That makes you think about the symbol of Ceres. Just click on the label below this message to find more about Ceres.

READING THE ASTROLOGY CHART OF DAVID BLAIN - part 2 -

READING THE CHART FROM THE START
Would we immediately have considered him to be a stuntman and magician? And if he lives long enough, will he be doing these kind of ‘magical performances’ all of his life? Probably not. So let's get back to where reading charts should start always as we cannot (IMO) make a difference between a person and the job that he does. Not when it is an unusual job like this. Characteristics sometimes lead you to the job that you have. So let us see how the elements, the combination of lights and Ascendant with the tightest aspects, the prominences (Astro ID) and specific midpoints, quintiles or yods lead us to the complete picture of David Blain.

Characteristics:
We see a self promoting active male (Aries Sun and Moon) who is basically expressive (airsigns and firesigns). He does not create things, doesn’t produce matter; no, he expresses or communicates. Still, his activities cannot be done without preparing, imagination and keeping it a secret how he does it (the twelfth house for discretion and vision). It is the kind of man who needs seclusion or being anonymous sometimes.
(And a fact is that he has himself buried alive from time to time)

Conclusion: an expressive, materialist/realistic, self promoter in the field of the anonymous/ amorphous.

Astro I.D.:
In his chart 'material' (business) is calling! He has got no placements in earth signs, so material security is 'conspicuous in absence'. Read the article on Astromarkt about this effect. Without basic security a person is eager to earn money and very ambitious.
(This ambition might drive him to take the risks that he takes).

The prominent Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Uranus make us think of an inventive person, and of opportunities in life. The Moon adds the need to do something (Mars) special (Uranus). All in all the Astro I.D. points at a person who is above all successful in enterprise (Mars and Jupiter), who has a call for making a difference (Uranus).

Conclusion: an ambitious person who needs to do something special.

MIDPOINTS
- Sun/Moon opposition a planet is what I call a 'midpoint yod' and the planet is the apex of the combination. Again we see Uranus is a prominent position, pointing at the ruler of the tenth equal house, calling! and final dispositor of the MC. This man just has to be special! But there is a certain danger: the combination with the sesquisquare with Neptune...The combination could indicate philanthropy, but it is also a sign for sudden weakness in case of taking the risks that he takes. This combination is dominating the chart of Klaas Bruinsma, the late Dutch top drugs dealer.

- Saturn, ruler Midheaven, square ASC /MC makes us aware of the ambitions of David Blain.

Conclusion: an ambitious, inventive and very special newsmaker!

Total conclusion: the birth chart of David Blain shows an ambitious and special person. We don't know much of his background, but certainly what he does is one of the ways to be very special.

ALTERNATIVE LOOK: THE ESOTHERIC SIDE OF THE CHART
Janduz called the 23rd degree of Capricorn (the degree of his MC) a degree of danger. The 7th of Aquarius (Mars in his chart is there) is a degree of vulnerability. The 8th of Aquarius (Jupiter in his chart) is a degree of inner independence (the book of Koppejan has the picture of a gladiator fighting a lion for this degree). Fifteen of Aries (his Sun) has the picture of a man who is fighting against the danger of drowning and that reminds me of one of his stunts. It is amazing (...) that 4 out of 10 of the positions has an element of danger and courage in it. I think it is amazing and worth pointing at it.

CHART OF DAVID RAY GRIFFIN, another Saturn-Pluto conspiracy man

I just posted about the charts of Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen and Adam Curry, all of them believe in a 0911 conspiracy. And then I remembered David Ray Griffin. I had something about him on my site Astromarkt, but that piece of my website cannot for some reason be published any more. Here is the refreshed story about him.

CHART OF DAVID RAY GRIFFIN
another Saturn-Pluto complot theory man

Theologist and philosopher David Ray Griffin is the leading voice in the conspiracy theories about 09/11 and a million seller author since his retirement. Without hour of birth there is no chart, but the ephemeris shows a lot of information about his birthday (8th August 1939, Santa Monica) anyway.

We see:
- Pluto (oriental) with Venus ahead of the Sun (money and politics)
- Sun at Aries Point semi square Jupiter/Neptune (beliefs, followers)
- No positions in water signs (empathy calling)
- No placements in air signs, too (communications calling)
- 70% in fixed signs (strong will, perseverance: " 9/11. David Griffin will never let this go until we get the truth."..Wikipedia quoting him)
- Combination of earth and fire (creativeness)
- Closest aspect: Saturn square Pluto (the die hard confronting people and I am beginning to believe it is frequent in the charts of those who suspect conspiracies)

And could not Saturn-Pluto be: ‘fear of politics and politicians’? Maybe it is.
Both Saturn and Pluto are connected to the Northern Node, reflecting the time he was born (just before the war). This aspect links business to power and money. And this aspect shows the controversial struggle of the scientist (Saturn is for the institute of science) against politics (Pluto), too. It is the combination of a person who withstands hard confrontations.

So what do we see? A very creative and will powered leading person with a conviction. Power, influence, politics and money come first in his chart. He is a rather tough and hard person you cannot reason with. A die-hard!
The missing elements point at specialization or being extreme and at having a focus on a certain area in life. No water, no air: social life at any level.

Strange enough his Venus is on the ascendant of president Bush (if that ascendant is 7d06m Leo). I heard him say on tele that it was possible that Bush personally was not involved in the conspiracy from the very beginning...With Venus on another person’s ascendant it is difficult not to be kind.

David Ray Griffin is a theologist. He has the Sun semi square Jupiter/Neptune. The combination of Jupiter/Neptune is also there in the chart of Gibson. Professor Griffin is publishing about 09/11 since 2004. That was the year of his progressed Mars sextile Jupiter. In 2006, progressed Jupiter was trine Pluto (for a lot of profit and success), with transit Jupiter square natal Sun for successes that do not come easy or with conflicts.When a person has a tight Saturn square Pluto, the trines with Pluto will always be inconjunctions with Saturn at the same time. In 2006 Griffin had his fortune, but he also experienced the disadvantages and the price to pay.

In October of 2006 a tape recording of Atta was found. DAVID RAY GRIFFIN (8th August 1939 Santa Barbara) will not have been happy with this discovery since he had Transit Saturn square his natal Uranus at the time. GEORGE W. BUSH (6th July 1946, 7h26 a.m. New Haven) seemed to profit from the tape. Transit Pluto was making a perfect trine with the Midheaven (MC). Pluto is the planet of the politician, but also the symbol of discovery and investigation.

This time there is no date of birth starting with a 3 involved, like with Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson:).

THE CHART OF TED STEVENS 3xNeptune is a crowd!

It is late for me, here in Europe, so I will be short about Ted Stevens, Alaskan senator, Republican, born 18th November 1923 in Indianapolis. He was a senator for a very long time, the longest serving Republican in the Senate. Now he has been accused of corruption and fraude. Why? And why has it been discovered now?

WHY?
Materialism: he has no placements in earth signs!
Grease: Venus is inconjunct Pluto!

WHY NOW?
No more than a year ago the progressed Sun was opposition natal Neptune and before, oppositon prgressed Neptune. I guess that that is when the investigations about him started and when he became a suspect. Transit Neptune has been conjunct the progressed Sun as well. Three times Neptune is a crowd.

SUN SQUARE NEPTUNE
In his natal chart the Sun is connected to Neptune in a square of about 5 degrees. Conflicts between Sun and Neptune often turn out this way: the nativity is not what the people take him for. It is a conflict that is fortunate in the chart of an actor. In the chart of a politician it is not. I have to say that Obama has the same wide Sun-Neptune square. I don't think it means that he is a fraud. I think it means that reality and dream are fighting each other. Some people try to realise their dreams in a wrong way.

Sun-Neptune conflicts are also frequent in the chart of suspects and missing people...whenever the media report about a secret or a mystery. Or when secrets come to the light, like in the case of Josef Fritzl. Every time when there is smoke and people wonder if there is a fire...

DEATH OF A 106 YEAR OLD MAN ...astrology chart and transits

Yesterday the eldest man in The Netherlands died. His name was Adrianus van der Vaart and he was 106. Last year he quit smoking and drinking (port) for physical reasons. He was born December 26, 1901. The positions on that day confirm my earlier findings.

Fifty percent of the positions is in the element Earth. Positions in Earth signs and in Air signs contribute to living longer. And Uranus is oriental (rising before the Sun). I have found many examples of Uranus rising before the Sun, related to getting very very old. You find more about aging on my site Astromarkt. See the links below. TRANSITS
Now that he died you see Mars trine Saturn and square Pluto with Venus sesquisquare the natal Sun, for R.I.P, confirmed by a progressed semi square between Sun and Venus.

BIRTH CHART JOHN DILLINGER

A real gangster he was, John Dillinger, born 22nd June 1903 at 23h50 in Indianapolis. He was shot by the FBI on 22nd July 1934, so he did not get older than only 31. What made this man so 'famous' and criminal, according to his chart?

We see a very important Sun square Aries Point on the IC (leading role), conjunct Neptune (an idol, a double life) with Pluto oriental (money, power, force and strength first). The Moon - education, family and environment - is important, as the Moon is calling (not making Ptolemeic aspects in sign or orb - 5 d- ). His mother died when he was a kid and later he loved his stephmother. A calling Moon is also a hint. It tells us that his NEEDS were important, he needed to 'feed' himself no matter how. An unaspected Moon easily leads to addictions and misbehaviour, because the person involved does not really have control over his needs.

There are no placements in earth signs. That is an important signal for materialism. Please read for more info about about the missing element on my site Astromarkt.

Immagine the moment in time and place (the gangs ruling), and picture yourself a 'material boy' (no earth signs, Pluto as an orientation) who is poor and probably rebellious (Uranus on top, semi square Saturn)...It seems he could not hold a job (and he had been fired dishonoraby after deserting the U.S. Navy).
This chart also tells us about the item of the 'supernatural' 'mystical' or 'criminal' (Neptune/Pluto). Imagination, fantasy, vision and anything that is unseen and hidden ...was crucial in his life and background. Neptune is also the planet of drugs and alcohol and ... the movies. It seems that he copied the way he robbed banks from the movies.. The crucial placement of Neptune might also refer to his desertion as a crucial decission.

On his dying day:
- the progressed Sun was at 00d13m59s Leo (recently changed sign, a sign for a change in life)
- the progressed Midheaven was at 00d01m42s Aquarius (the MC also very recently changed sign)
- transit Vulcanus - a mysterious spot in the chart that is always there where public violence is present - was tightly sextile the progressed MC (and in the natal chart Vulcanus is 22.5 d away from Pluto/Ascendant and Pluto/MC and Sun/Pluto)

WHY HILLARY CANNOT GIVE UP It is because of the fixed signs in her birth chart...

Hillary Clinton won in West Virginia and she won't give up. This determination is not surprising. She has 60% of her placements in fixed signs (in her case in Scorpio or Leo). Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn and Pluto are in fixed signs. And now that we are looking at qualities and elements: she does not have any placement in an earth sign! It points at the need to gather material things, security, certainty. For more info...

And if she was born at 8 p.m. (a time of birth that is not certain any more) Saturn would be in her second house (the disadvantages of and separation from earnings and belongings). I read that she spent a lot of her own money (millions!) for her campaign.

SATURN
Saturn is an important planet and even more in the birth charts of those who do not have a placement in an earth sign. Saturn represents material and solid things. If Hillary Clinton is born at 8 p.m. Saturn is close to her IC, opposition MC and she will give up in the first half of July. In that case, Saturn was opposition MC in October 2007 and in February 2008, too. In fact, transit Saturn would be oppositon MC again and again. If this is her hour of birth, it is obvious that she will be defeated in the end and that it cost her a lot of money (Saturn in the equal 2nd house).

Also, Saturn is square Mercury and Mercury is supposed to be ruling the first house in the 8 p.m. chart. Saturn is disposing of the 8th house! It is an unfortunate and very tight aspect.

WHERE IS THE FORTUNE?
All this said, Hillary Clinton has already had her part of the cake. She has been living in the White House, she is a potential president and she has many supporters. I can see that 8 a.m. might be a possible birth time, too (Pluto ruler 1 on top, for example). But that places Mercury ruler 8 on the Ascendant and transit Saturn would be close to the Midheaven for the 3rd time.

GUESS...
The birth chart of Hillary Clinton should represent her position and her brilliant carreer as a wife and as a woman. She made it, even if she loses this fight and a lot of money. How many women in the world did what she did? So....I'd love to see her have a chart with Mars and Pluto on top, Saturn conjunct MC and Venus (ruler 7th house) on the Ascendant, a 7h15 a.m. chart, with transit Jupiter right now inconjunct her Midheaven (for winning with certain doubts and consequences). Pluto would be conjunct her progressed Ascendant rigth now, representing the political struggle. It looks like the chart here below and it is only an astrologers' dream.
