Example of 5 times transit Pluto at once

Today I had the sad opportunity to see how transit Pluto changes the life of someone close. She went to see the  cardiologist because she was tired and had a strange feeling on the chest. What happend was that he found an almost completely closed coronary artery.  He placed a stent. This was exactly what she was afraid of. And it was with 5 transits of Pluto:

• Pluto conjunct her Sun
• Pluto conjunct her Moon
• Pluto conjunct her midpoint Sun/Moon
• Pluto inconjunct het progressed Descendant
• Pluto opposite Ceres (heart issurs are in  the family)

All 5 transits were within less than 0,5 degree orb...

Those transits were accompanied by:
Transit Chiron (healer/pain) conjunct progressed Sun. 
Transit Saturn inconjunct progressed IC

And:
Very soon transit Saturn will be square MC and inconjunct Progressed IC

All three (Pluto, Chiron and Saturn) are hitting the lights and the angles, the key points in the chart.
It is the reflection of dangerous, changing and hard times. The 8th is involved, too. Pluto is in the progressed 8th house. She is safe in hospital tonight and her family hopes for her safe return home, feeling better. 

Question is now: is transit Pluto reflecting the surgery (and in a way that saved her life...)? Or did the conjunctions mean that she is starting a difficult period in life, with medication and in the 'survival' mode? 

Transit Pluto is always complicated. As an astrologer, you see it coming and all you can do is make a wish that this force is WITH the person and not against. Even if transit Pluto is considered to be helping you get rid of a problem, it is still difficult to deal with. May this force with be you:)!

The concern in the chart of the Pope

A chart should be seen in the light of a person’s age and status. The chart of the pope, too.

There is growing concern about the condition and health of Pope Benedict XVI since his last trip to Africa. It seems that he is exhausted. With Christmas on the way and a planned trip to Mexico in a few months time it will be hard to find enough time to rest for the 85 year old leader of the Roman Catholic Church.  And it seems that he needs that. The concern is reflected by the chart, transits and progressions. The planets involved are Saturn, Pholus , Mars and Uranus.

SATURN

Transit Saturn was opposition his natal Sun in the last week of November and square Sun/Moon midpoint mid October. That is enough for repeated concern, worries or setbacks. Saturn square Sun/Moon makes it hard to get motivated. Saturn with Sun often (at this age!) is reflecting the fact that there is little you can do about aging.  Problems never come alone. The recent upset in Dutch media about numerous cases of child abuse in the RC church can’t be denied and faces him with the mistakes (Saturn) of the past.

On April 29 there will be another opposition of Saturn with his natal Sun and again on August 19, shortly after transit Mars opposition Sun. End of July/early August Mars will be square the progressed Sun, too. Those transits are hard to deal with.

PHOLUS

Another astrological point of concern is transit Pholus, recently inconjunct the progressed Sun and soon to be square the Ascendant. That means that he recently had a turning point in life (or life style) with a loss involved. And that his circumstances are to change within weeks. Now that there is concern about his official duties during the week of Xmas, transit Pholus is square progressed Midheaven (changing status and conditions).

URANUS RETURN

I live in a country where they find people over 55 too old to give them a job. The pope is 30 years older than that. His activities and his social top position on his age are rare (maybe except for China). Few of us reach the moment that transit Uranus returns to the position at birth. That is what the pope will see exactly on New Year’s Eve, soon after transit Saturn inconjunct his Mercury. And as most of us don't get that old, there is little information about the Uranus return. Could it be a last chance for change? When my life style changed completely I had Uranus opposition Uranus, the progressed Sun sign changing and luckily I also had Progressed Moon trine Jupiter. So my life changed for the benefit of myself (in the long term). But I don't see a lucky transit or progression in the chart of the Pope right now. So he'd better take good care of himself and avoid rushes and 'hurrying'. Uranus return is a few days after transit Mars opposition Ascendant (around December 28). And in January Saturn will be inconjunct natal Venus and...

BUT...

If you want some good news about the Pope, here it is. In 2010 (see link) he also had very difficult transits and progressions. It may have cost him some energy, but he is still the Pope. There were previous concerns in 2003 (!). But charts don't lie and this chart mirrors worries and being tired.

Mubarak's transits and progressions

Mubarak's role in Egypt's history has come to an end. His position is worse than ever and he seems to be in bad condition. There are at least 3 (...) indications for decay in the chart: 

transit Uranus, transit Neptune and the progressed Sun...

Transit Uranus and transit Neptune are in hard aspect with the natal sun of Mubarak. 

Transit Uranus is semisquare the Sun, transit Neptune makes a 75 degree aspect. 

Uranus-Neptune combinations symbolize the interaction between the process of sleep and waking up and everything in between (like an experience with dope). Fainting is one of the possible resonations of the Uranus-Neptune effect. Weak nerves is another one. So are hypes (fantasy + news). Who knows what the truth is? We don't see any pictures. But one thing is certain: he must feel bad.

Uranus happens to be ' calling' (unaspected) in his chart. That increases the importance of the transit. Recently you read on this blog that transits of Uranus mean change, rebellion, upheavel and nervous shocks.  

There is another aspect: the progressed Sun is sesquisquare natal Saturn. That is not just the sort of aspect to expect when somebody is stepping back, but it is not fortunate for health and spirit, either.  Of course it is. When things are bad, you are down. When you are down, things are bad. Sun-Saturn aspects often mirror the end of a period in life.

Chart Bill Clinton (heart operation)

Bill Clinton underwent a sudden heart operation yesterday, after complaining of pain. Here is his natal chart with progressions and transits. Transit Neptune (ruling the 6th house of illnesses and ailments) is opposition natal Sun right now. Sometimes the effect of Neptune opposition Sun is 'being seen in a negative light'. Sometimes the aspect is reflecting a health issue. That is because the Sun is they symbol of honour and of vitality. Also transit Chiron is now opposition natal Sun, mirroring 'healing'. Transit Saturn is in the 4th degree of Libra, close to the Ascendant and semi square progressed Mars. That is a statement for blocked (Saturn) energy (Mars). There were 3 indications at the time and when that is the case, sometihing of importance follows, often. There is another important transit coming up for Bill Blinton...

If Bill Clinton's Ascendant and Midheaven are in the 6th degree of cardinal signs, like in this chart of Astrodatabank, transit Saturn and transit Pluto will be afflicting his Ascendant, his Midheaven and the crucial midpoint AC/MC this year. It has been most fortunate that today transit Jupiter is inconjunct Ascendant and Midheaven and quindecile AC/MC. Jupiter is the symbol of doctors and of what cures you. Later this year transit Jupiter will have moved on in Pisces, but the hard guys (Saturn and Pluto will still be in hard aspect with the Ascendant. That might force Bill Clinton to take care and perhaps this pain and operation should be seen as a warning not to force himself and to consider his age and health.

3x Saturn in the chart of Ted Kennedy: collapse

3 Times Saturn in the chart of Edward (Ted) Kennedy, reflecting the collapse of yesterday around 14:35 during lunch at Inauguration Day:

1. In the progressed chart Saturn is square ASC (Prg Saturn square prg ASC)
2. Transit Saturn was semi square his natal Midheaven
3. It happened on a Sun-transit-Saturn day

Transit Saturn rules the natal Ascendant (=situation) of Edward Kennedy. Transit Saturn ruled the 8th house of the moment of collapse (with Uranus elevated for the consternation). Saturn is 'calling' (prominent) in the natal chart. That means that Saturn does not make Ptolemaic aspects in orb 5 degrees or in sign.

The Pluto-Uranus inconjunction in Mukasey's chart

On July 28, 1941 in the Bronx, Michael Mukasey was born. He grew up to be the USA Minister of Justice. Today he suddenly collapsed. I don't have his hour of birth, that might give more detailed information. Nevertheless there are a few indications for a sudden change and shock (with Uranus as the symbol reflecting the situation):

Solar Arc Uranus conjunct Sun this year
Transit Sun opposition Uranus and progressed Saturn
Transit Pluto inconjunct Uranus

With this combination of transits - at a certain age and in certain situations - Pluto and Uranus might reflect a dangerous or dramatic change (Pluto+Uranus) on a day with sudden disadvantages (Solar transits) in a life changing year (Uranus-Sun SA)

Given his natal chart, Mukasey is first of all a fanatic and strategic politician (Pluto for power is rising before his Sun) and diplomate (Venus is not making aspects in sign and is 'calling'). Mars sextile Jupiter is his tightest aspect and that refers to making progress in life.

Saturn's awards... and the chart of Kirk Douglas

A difficult transit coming from Saturn does not seem to mean difficulties, always. The awarded Televizier Ring of Paul de Leeuw and the public recognition of the good work that Kirk Douglas does, however, seem to come late in both cases. De Leeuw wanted the Ring for long, Douglas is 91 years old. High time! Should that be the meaning of the tight, exact, transit of Saturn (a square in both cases)? Maybe that is a comfort to all of those who deal with Saturn soon and fear this transit: sometimes Saturn comes to award you.

Saturn is a symbol, not a person. Of course Saturn himself doesn't exist as a person, just like Santa Claus doesn't. The position of Saturn in the sky simply goes together with experiences on earth. Santa Claus is a symbol, too. In my country the symbol of Sinterklaas is the severe edition of Santa Claus. And I think Saturn and Sinterklaas have much in common. He gives presents, but only if you do well (and he takes notes of that!:). And when you are 'bad' you will be punished.

Of course, a chart doesn't judge and neither do transits. Those transits were 'planned' even before a person could act or not. They just happen. So it truly depends on your situation, condition, age and status, and of your own free will to use every opportunity you got (!) if Saturn will award you - finally, at last - or if Saturn will 'drop you' - in the end-. And when you had a bad start with a difficult chart, you have to work twice as hard to, because Saturn gives more present to those who are already rich, just like Sinterklaas drops the most precious toys in the chimney of the wealthy. Perhaps you worked hard to care for your old neighbour, but there will never be a message in the worldwide web. In that case, the award will be the gratitude of the neighbour, perhaps. This, to avoid high expectations:)

You don't expect to be praised at all, with transit Saturn square Sun, do you? But this actualy happened to Kirk Douglas, 91 years old. Fellow artists mentioned that he raised 400 play grounds at his costs and the world wide web spread the good words. Another person who was praised with a tight square of Saturn (with the progressed MC in this case) is the Dutch TV-personality Paul de Leeuw. He was awarded the 'Televizier ring' yesterday. It might be that they have a problem at the same time (I don't know), but the fact that the transit was tight and exact tells me that this transit means 'being awarded', being 'respected'.

SATURN-URANUS: SUDDEN FAREWELL's
Aspects with Saturn, however, don't seem to be fortunate in the life of Kirk Douglas. His Saturn is angular and seems to be crucial in his life. There were several hard and nasty events. He experienced a severe accident and he lost one of his sons later. That was on July 6, 2004, with transit Saturn exactly inconjunct Uranus and inconjunct Sun; Saturn was the apex of a yod made by transit and pointed at separation and sudden farewells.
He also suffers from the effect of a stroke (since 1996 with the progressed conjunction of Sun and Mars).

Soon transit Saturn will be opposition progressed Sun and inconjunct progressed Midheaven, with transit Uranus following in Saturn's footsteps, and these transits will be repeated in 2009. Life is not always easy at age 92...

AN ARTIST's CHART
Kirk Douglas was born December 9, 1916 at 10h15 EST in Amsterdam NY.
Kirk Douglas has an artist's chart. Just look at the calling Neptune (not making major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees) and at Venus on top! See Jupiter on a crucial spot way down in the chart and you see the combination of a man who will have success in art and will be celebrated (Venus/Jupiter) in the world of the movies (Neptune).

HARD TIMES FOR KOO STARK

Koo Stark, a NY actrice who once was involved with Prince Andrew, seems to be in financial trouble. I think her chart shows that there have been hope and faith or speculations (Jupiter and Neptune) with increasing challenging and serious life changing problems (Pluto, Uranus and Saturn). And now the spotlight is on her unbalanced status (inconjunction Saturn).

She was born April 26, 1956 and her HOB is unknown. When you look at her progressed chart you see Jupiter conjunct Pluto and both sextile progressed Sun this year, followed by a progressive trine of Sun and Neptune. Not bad, not? There is only 1 'but: she has a progressive inconjnction of Sun and Saturn. Does her prominent Saturn, retrograded to Scorpio, have such an influence? Apparently! (Or maybe sextiles are not as 'harmonious' as their reputation is? but that is for later...)

SATURN CALLING
She has progressed Sun inconjunct progressed Saturn, too and that seems to be the problem. It is a retrograding Saturn. In her natal chart Saturn was in Sagittarius and 'calling' (not making Ptolemaic aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees). This prominent Saturn for prominent ambition has regressed now and is highlighted by the progressive Sun. Koo Stark is a photographer now. This 'astrological photo' of Sun inconjunct the calling Saturn shows that status is an important issue and it shows the decay of it in the spotlight of today.

Saturn related to Jupiter and Pluto might indicate the limits of 'the treasure’. Given these transits and progressions it is to be expected that her status and position is unbalanced and could be lost and gone (Saturn, inconjunction) and that there are big money issues (Jupiter and Pluto). Still, even in the mess of bankruptcy we find the help of the hotel manager (Jupiter!) who allows her to stay in his hotel until she solved her problems. That is the Jupiter effect. And there might be financial aid coming up, too. However, in due time transit Saturn will be sesquiquadrate her natal Sun and square her natal Venus. First Pluto, now Saturn..it will take a 'die hard' to overcome all these kind of problems. And then there is also the influence of transit Uranus. That planet will aspecting Sun and Venus later.

Of course there are more people who deal with these transits these days. Unfortunately Saturn and Uranus are aspecting the same degrees at about the same time. But Koo Stark also has Sun inconjunct Saturn in progression. She seems to be stuck between a rock and a hard place these days. Remember that her personal and individual chart with the position of Moon, Ascendant and MC should be taken into consideration as well, but the general idea is that there may have been hope and faith or speculations (Jupiter and Neptune) with increasing challenging and serious life changing problems (Pluto, Uranus and Saturn).
How did that happen?

KEEP ABREAST, VENUS AND PLUTO
Koo Stark had breast cancer two times and underwent two mastectomies, in 2002 and 2003. Pluto was transiting her progressed Sun conjunct Venus at the time. In those years she founded 'Keep Abreast', an awareness centre. Maybe that is also when her money problems started (Transit Pluto conjunct Venus). The combination of her natal Sun and Moon in Taurus and Scorpio reflect money issues, as the dispositors of these signs are Venus and Pluto. For an act rice and model the mastectomies most have been even harder to deal with as for most women. Venus and Pluto in aspect (transit or progression) are challenging the value of aesthetics in general and force you to make difficult choices sometimes. In times of Venus-Pluto issues, money flows. MOON IN SCORPIO
Koo Stark and Prince Andrew shared the Moon in Scorpio and probably felt comfortable in each other’s presence. Her Saturn square his Sun, his Moon opposition her Mercury, her Neptune square his Venus and the absence of other compatibilities in sign didn't help to maintain the relationship. THE LOST MEMORY OF BJÖRN ULVAEUS and the possible effect of drumbeats...

Björn Ulvaeus lost his memory, all of the sudden. Lost is symbolised by the quincunx and by Neptune, symbol of the amorphous. In his birth chart (he was born 25041945 in Gothenburg Sweden) the Sun is inconjunct Neptune (and Saturn is square Neptune). The inconjunction symbolizes the mismatch between health and vulnerability or sensitivity. As Neptune is also the planet of the artist and of music, it might well be that music did this to his memory. It may sound odd, but I remember a night in the theatre with drum sessions, very loud, for 2 hours. Afterwards my husband and I could not remember passwords and the code to block the alarm system in our house. We had to join forces to find them and we could not pin money that night. We decided never to repeat such a night, because it was rather scarry to not be able to remember things that you need to know. It came back in a few hours, but...what if you are sensitive and hear these rythms all the time? Björn Ulvaeus IS sensitive. He is an artist and rather obsessed by music: Venus is quindecile Neptune (Venus 165 d Neptune). Now that the progressed Sun is getting closer to Saturn, the failing system is in the spotlights. The period with progressive Sun conjunct Saturn is not the most easy period in life...Limitations and restrictons are part of the experience. Saturn is connected to Neptune; the combination Saturn-Neptune often refers to being sick or ill.

Of course, I am not a doctor! But I like to tell you what the effect of drum beats could be. Take care!
In the meantime Wikipedia tells us that rumours of complete lost of memories are untrue and probably caused by bad translations of an interview. And eh..Neptune is now opposition Venus and conjunct his Neptune. So would Neptune be transitting to produce FAKE?:) Anyway, he should be cautious the coming year...

MICHAEL JACKSON AND SATURN

At whatever time Michael Jackson was born on August, 29 1958 in Gary, Pluto will always be oriental and Venus/Uranus will always be sesquisquare Zero Aries. And right now both Mars and Saturn are conjunct his natal Sun. He has been spotted sitting in a wheel chair, his skin in bad condition and seemingly suffering from pain in the back. Mars (pain) and Saturn (being set back) seem to do their work effectively and without pity. It seems he looks bad now.

BIRTH CHART DIANNE ODELL who spent her life in an iron lung

Dianne Odell lived in an iron long for 58 years, since age 3 and managed to write a book and to complete highschool. Read about it ...

But failure of electricity stopped the machine that kept her alive and now she died. There are 4 significant aspects on her dying day.

Transit Neptune was conjunct her Sun (weakness; I read that lately she was less healthy and weaker) and transit Pluto semi square Mars (using force), transit Pluto conjunct progressed Mars (using force; a challenge for energy) and transit Saturn inconjunct progressed Mars (death, end of energy...).
You see the Mars-Saturn-Pluto combination for unnatural death. Interesting, considering the fact that she had an unnatural life.

Without an hour of birth there is of course no complete idea about the astrological indications for the way she had to live. We need the position of the Ascendant and MC to find astrological conditions and circumstances.

But there are some clues in the positions on her day of birth (Februay 13, 1947).
We see for example Saturn semi square Uranus for limited freedom, with Sun and Jupiter sesquisquare the midpoint Saturn/Uranus. Sun square Jupiter and sesquisquare Neptune might point at being religious or an idol. She was rather well known. Her Astro I.D. shows Mars semi square Aries Point and oriental. Mars is the symbol or iron., as it happens. It is also the symbol of drive, energy, muscles... And I like to point at the positionn of Pallas, symbol of wisdom, conjunct Mars.

Look at the chart and see how amazingly Mars, Saturn and Pluto are related to the symbol of electricity, Uranus, through Mars, the most prominent planet in her chart. BTW the midpoint Sun/Saturn is in line with the midpoint Mars/Pluto.

JERRY LEWIS 82

Comedian in the movies, director and producer Jerry Lewis is celebrating his 82nd birthday today. He was born 16th March 1926 in Newark, New Jersey at 12h15 (P.M.) EST. His Sun conjunct Uranus are conjunct the MC. Jupiter is rising before the Sun and ruler 1 Moon is calling in Taurus in the 10th house. Jupiter is semi square Zero Aries and conjunct Venus. His chart contains a lot of prominent placements and Jupiter is most prominent of them all. Neptune, for medications, media and movies, is end dispositor of the Midheaven in Pisces.

MOON
Jerry Lewis was born in an artistic family. His father was a comedian, too. Knowing his family and without knowing more than this unaspected Moon in 10 in Taurus you could already guess the influence of his ancestors on his carreer.

FYSICS
The most narrow aspects in his birth chart are involved in a so cold 'small trine' between Sun-Uranus, Marss and Saturn. Narrow small trines produce a range of midpoint combinations. When the planets involved are 'difficult' (like in this case) this has the effect of 'the other side of the coin'. Jerry Lewis suffers from a life long pain in the back (since 1965) and carries an electrical implant in his back to control this pain.

Two times Jerry Lewis could have died. End of 1982 he was pronounced clinically death (Progressed Moon opposition Saturn and semi square Pluto; transit Saturn AND transit Pluto inconjunct the Midheaven; Neptune square Sun and transit Mars semi square Saturn. People died with less of these sort of aspects...but Jerry Lewis had a fortunate trine of Venus with Sun and MC.

On June 11 2006 he had another hearth attack. This time it was with transit Pluto square Sun and Uranus. But at the same time there was Jupiter semi square Sun and Uranus! And he is still alive...

In 2006 he wrote 'Dean and me, a love story'. His movie partner Dean Martin was born 7 June 1917. His Venus and Jupiter trine (tightly!( the Sun of Jerry Lewis. Jerry's Jupiter is tightly sextile Sun and tightly trine Dean's Mars. There is also a trine between their Mars. Good partnership indeed!

CHART of PAUL MCCARTNEY: who had surgery these days...

With transit Jupiter inconjunct Mars and transit Pluto trine the progressed Sun, Paul McCartney (born 18th June 1942 in Liverpool at 0h30 or 14.00 hours) had surgery (angioplastics). In his birth chart for 0h30 Paul has Neptune in the sixth house in a tight square with tge Sun. Lately Paul was in the news regarding his divorce. In the 0h30 chart transit Mars would now oppose his Progressed MC. Mars is ruler of the 1st house in this chart.

In the progressed chart of the 14.00 hours alternative the MC is close to Neptune,dispositor of the sixth house of health. Also, if the 14.00 hours chart is correct, transit Uranus is inconjunct his natal ascendant. Uranus is in his 8th natal house. You may choose:)

PS dated 21st January 2008: Paul McCartney wrote a public letter to explain that his surgery was just a test for a minor irregularity. That is in favour of the 14.00 hours chart, as Neptune is the media (exagerating, acc. to Paul) making news (Uranus) about his health (6th and Ascendant).
