Example of 5 times transit Pluto at once

Today I had the sad opportunity to see how transit Pluto changes the life of someone close. She went to see the  cardiologist because she was tired and had a strange feeling on the chest. What happend was that he found an almost completely closed coronary artery.  He placed a stent. This was exactly what she was afraid of. And it was with 5 transits of Pluto:

  • Pluto conjunct her Sun
  • Pluto conjunct her Moon
  • Pluto conjunct her midpoint Sun/Moon
  • Pluto inconjunct het progressed Descendant
  • Pluto opposite Ceres (heart issurs are in  the family)

All 5 transits were within less than 0,5 degree orb...

Those transits were accompanied by:
Transit Chiron (healer/pain) conjunct progressed Sun.
Transit Saturn inconjunct progressed IC

And:
Very soon transit Saturn will be square MC and inconjunct Progressed IC

All three (Pluto, Chiron and Saturn) are hitting the lights and the angles, the key points in the chart.
It is the reflection of dangerous, changing and hard times. The 8th is involved, too. Pluto is in the progressed 8th house. She is safe in hospital tonight and her family hopes for her safe return home, feeling better.

Question is now: is transit Pluto reflecting the surgery (and in a way that saved her life...)? Or did the conjunctions mean that she is starting a difficult period in life, with medication and in the 'survival' mode?

Transit Pluto is always complicated. As an astrologer, you see it coming and all you can do is make a wish that this force is WITH the person and not against. Even if transit Pluto is considered to be helping you get rid of a problem, it is still difficult to deal with. May this force with be you:)!

With transit Pluto conjunct Sun something in your life might be destroyed. A vital problem will be highlighted and action is needed. Sometimes your life or lifestyle is in danger or health issues demand action. Physical challenges, a problem with an authority or enemies force you to be strong and brave. You will have to learn to live with problems and forces beyond yourself, often related to life and death*) issues. Stress is with you, all along the period of the transit.

Transit Pluto with the Moon intensifies emotions and habits/needs. Getting back to usual (at home) is difficult and challenging with such an aspect, even if it is a trine (though you might feel stronger than ever).  It often gives stress at home or in the family. Sometimes this is because of a family problem or a memorable event regarding life and death. Michael Moore had this transit after his chemo therapy (and with his son in jail).

Sun/Moon/Pluto midpoint combinations

Sun/Moon is the midpoint of motivations. With Pluto you are motivated by money, power, influence and the more challenging things in life (danger, life and death)...You need or live in a world of challenge and stress. Perhaps the person with Sun/Moon/Pluto combinations in the chart suffered from a traumatic event. That might cause a state of constant alert. Here are some examples:

  • Anne Frank with Sun semi square Moon/Pluto will be remembered because of the fact that she died too young in Nazi time.
  • Jacqueline Kennedy with Moon square Sun/Pluto will be remembered because of the death of her young husband.
  • Grace Kelly (Princess Gracia) had Sun opposition Moon/Pluto (a midpoint yod with the Sun as the apex). Her death shocked the world.
  • David Koresh had Sun square Moon/Pluto.
  • If the chart of Hugo Chavez is the correct chart, he has Sun/Moon with Uranus and Sun with Moon/Pluto. The Sun/Moon combination with Uranus and Pluto easily leads to radicalism. There would be a situation of stress and nervous problems, too.
  • Tony Blair and Prince Andrew have Sun in hard aspect with Moon/i
  • Terry Schiavo's husband has Sun sesquisquare Moon/Pluto and dealt with the tragedy of his wife's situation (in non-reversal coma and not allowed to die).
Sun/Moon and Pluto motivates by means of values, policy's or strategy, sometimes by force. The need to be strong, powerful or rich is apparent and that is because money or force could bring in vital changes. In a less extreme situation Sun/Moon/Pluto midpoint combinations are challenging for family life and marriage. Problems between man and woman could be inherent to this combination and require (at least) therapy. When Venus is part of the combination, those problems could be money problems.

I don't have a famous example of Sun/Moon with Pluto, but on Astromarkt (article about Sun/Moon, progressions and transits) you find this:
Michael Douglas has transit Pluto semi square Sun/Moon, following the transit of Saturn over Sun and Moon and midpoint Sun/Moon. We all know about his challenging period right now (trying to conquer cancer).
Pluto on Sun/Moon shows that you need strength and courage.

Michael Douglas' son is in jail and his wife had therapy while he had treatment for cancer. This was indeed an intense and difficult time for him. When you were born with Sun/Moon/Pluto you might have experienced a problem at the beginning of life. The fact that you survived made you more vulnerable and yet stronger, because you value life more than others do. That is the impact of a dwarf planet, Pluto.

TRANSITS OF PLUTO WITH MOON, MERCURY, VENUS OR MARS

This month is transit month on Astropost. This post is about transits of Pluto with Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars. They tend to stress feelings, ideas, sympathies and drives. Transits of Pluto must always be regarded with the natal chart, the other transits and progressions and the general situation or condition in mind. Having said that, here are some ideas.
Transit Pluto with Mercury transforms opinions and ideas. You might test your ideas about (for example) your political party during this period. The result might be that you decide to leave the party. The result might also be that the evalution of ideas intensifies your opinions (and the way that you communicate about them). You might also be studying hard in this period. I had this transit when I seriously studied astrology for the first time.
Transits of Pluto with Venus are reflecting the difficult choice to make and sometimes money issues. What is really worth the price to pay? Did I really choose the right partner? Even if you think that you made all the right choices, transit Pluto with Venus gives stress because of the intensity of your desires and feelings. Sometimes it is your body (skin, hormones) and sometimes it is your relationship challenging you to evaluate your choices and ideas of what is nice, beautiful or luxury. This transit doesn’t stand in the way to marriage. Often the relationship is getting deeper and deeper during the (longlasting) transit). But sometimes there is competition or jealousy. To have and to hold might be a problem in many ways! However, sometimes this transit doesn’t seem to have much impact at all. The price you pay for luxury might just be the jealousy of others!
Transit Pluto with Venus AND Mars in the chart of the Swedish king a few months ago…showed challenges regarding passions…among other hard transits, like the transit of Saturn...
Transit Pluto  with Mars is testing your drives and muscles, sometimes just in competion (sport or politics), but there is also a danger of violence and having to defend yourself (or feeling that you have to defend yourself). Women might test their husbands during this aspect (is this man worth it?). This transit transforms activities or products and is very demanding. You pay the price with energy. In specific (dangerous) situation this transit warns you to be alert and avoid ‘dangerous men’ and anger. Like in the case of Joran van der Sloot:
  • The murder of Stephanie Flores was with transit Pluto trine progressed and quindecile natal Mars.
  • The disappearance of Nathalie Holloway was with transit Mars sesquisquare Pluto.

PS The Moon is larger than dwarf planet Pluto. Size doesn't really matter in astrology. Jupiter is large and that is why the meaning of Jupiter is ' big' and 'great' and 'growth'. Jupiter is not considered to have more 'resonation' than Saturn has. The Moon is the closest object. That is why the Moon is regarded to show us more about 'close' things, like home, family, eating habits and emotions.

Fergie's money is news again

If Pallas on the Ascendant in the first house really is the symbol of the problem solver*), than Sarah Ferguson probably knows how to deal with the money problem that she is supposed to have (see LA Times...). It is not a small problem. It is about millions. Venus-Pluto on either side of Midheaven are already telling us about the importance of money issues. The combination of (earning) money is also rising before the Sun. And with the Moon inconjunct Pluto there is a tendency to eating disorder and to being submissed to certain needs and habits. It is  a difficult combination for emotions**).  The Moon inconjunct Venus-Pluto could be read as: 'extraordinary (inconjunct) need (Moon) for money (Venus-Pluto).

Progressed Moon square Ascendant sheds a light on her circumstances and situation, while the transit of Pluto semisquare progressed Moon is resonating the natal Moon-Pluto combination and showing us the problem to control needs and habits. Right now we also see transit Uranus inconjunct progressed Midheaven (for extraordinary upheaval) and transit Pholus on the progressed Sun (for a turning point in life). Here is the chart with transits and progressions:

HOW ABOUT YOU?
Venus and Pluto-aspects mark the issue of values (earning money; the price of luxury, love and comfort; difficult choices to make and the danger/challenges of your preferences, etcetera). For more about Venus-Pluto, see Astromarkt...
