What are progressions?
The movement of the positions in a day = the movement of the positions in a year, in progressions. Why? It is because from a particular place on earth the whole surrounding sky is visible in a day and the movement of earth around the Sun shows the complete sky, too, I have been told. So what you see in a day is what you will see in the year to come. The progression of a person in a day reflects the progression of a person in a year. The solar return chart completes the picture with the true position (transits) related to the position of the Sun at birth.

Progressed charts are strongly related to natal charts and should be read and considered in combination with the findings about the birth chart and the transits of the moment. People grow from the minute that they were born. People develop in a certain direction. That development in astrology is symbolized by progressions*).

Julian Assange: Mars in Aquarius biquintile Pluto

Julian Assange's hour of birth is a mystery, like the man himself. But we know his day of birth (July 3, 1971) and so we know the most important positions on his day of birth, like for example the focal planet in the funnel pattern in his natal chart: Mars in Aquarius, biquintile Pluto. 

Mars in Aquarius is a team player and so is Assange. What he does is teamwork. Aquarius is the sign of changes, surprises and technology. The biquintile is a creative aspect. And Pluto is for power, politics, defense and strategy.  Mars biquintile Pluto means that there is a creative and strong drive to win and ...creative self defence...and a possible creative use of strategy in the field of technology. The sextile between Jupiter and Pluto increases this effect.

Also, his Saturn is rising before the Sun, for ambition and for the serious approach. The combination of Venus square Pluto and trine Mars says a lot about passions and the problems that they give. The narrow aspects of a day of birth are important for the natal chart. The impact of the aspects will be mirrored by the positions of the planets and lights in the chart (elevated, square Ascendant or angular). Without an hour of birth you don't have a complete picture but parts of what we know seem to resonate what is important in the chart. For example: Assange has the Moon in Scorpio. Jupiter, zeppelins and a lady

This week I watched a documentary named 'Farewell' about Lady Hay Drummond-Hay, the first woman to fly around the world in ...a zeppelin. She published about the flight of the Graf Zeppelin and was famous in the days before the big crisis and before the Second World War. She died too young, after severe illness in a Japanese prisonners camp in WWII. What I like to mention about the chart of her day of birth is: Jupiter! Jupiter is 'calling' (no major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees) and Jupiter rises before the Sun. That is a very prominent Jupiter.
Jupiter is the symbol of the international, travelling and publishing. The prominence of Jupiter in her chart is perfectly corresponding with the main fact that we know about 'Gracie' Hay Drummond-Hay.
