Hillary Clinton, Mars-Pluto, Neptune, Mercury-Saturn and elections 2016

Yesterday, I looked at the charts of children who died within 3 days in a fire, and I decided not to publish about it because I can imagine the pain of the parents, still. This week I was studying the chart of an executioner (born August 17, 1988) and I had found the same aspect combination in his chart as in the charts of the children. He has Mars inconjunct Pluto (and Pluto semi square Saturn, by the way, to complete the combination of untimely death). They had Mars square Pluto (and one of these 2 on an angle). Mars-Pluto aspects add stress to work and action and danger to acts. It is also an aspect that symbolizes a strong drive to win (at any cost) and to (have to) defend or protect yourself. In politics it means that there is always a strong (and sometimes dangerous) competition to deal with. Hillary Clinton faces problems now, in March 2015.

Hillary Clinton has Mars conjunct Pluto in her chart. This aspect is square Venus.
That means intense (Pluto) passion (Venus and Mars). It is the combination of the item of the use and abuse of force, influence or violence (Mars-Pluto) and the money issue (Venus-Pluto). Or a passion (Venus-Mars) for politics, that, too. See the number of examples (just click the label 'Venus Mars Pluto'). There is also a danger in Mars-Pluto (injuries, enemies and ... difficulties with men).

Fact: I read that her husband Bill has a mistress and that he refuses to stop the affair so that his wife has a better chance to become the next president of the USA. That is rather difficult. So is divorce. How about a female President without a husband in 2016? International Women's Day is not celebrated because there is no need to improve women's positions. It is crazy, but a female President with a cheating husband seems to do better in the polls. And her (wide) Venus square Saturn maybe helps her to stick to her man. Quoting my own blog 'Astrology&Love'):
Just an observation: Hillary Clinton has a tight conjunction of Mars and Pluto. Bill Clinton's Mars is angular and Pluto rises right before his Sun. That shows the importance of their political (Pluto) activities (Mars) for both of them.
and
Bill and Hillary don’t match, at least: their signs don’t match. Their long lasting relationship is exceptional, also in astrological terms. It is a relationship between two very ambitious political strategists and idealists who joined forces. You can see that: there is a minor aspects between their Mars, a septile. Septiles have to do with inspirations. What Bill does inspires Hillary and vice versa. Even their competition is inspiring to them.
Oh well, that is what is to be expected with Mars quintile Mars. We only see the outside of the relationship, so we can't be sure, can we? We can't even be sure about her hour of birth. Here is the possible chart (source is Astrodatabank, telling us we can't be sure...):
See: http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Clinton,_Hillary_Rodham

MERCURY-SATURN for limited communications.
Last week the newspapers reported about Hillary's emails not being sent the correct way while she worked for Obama. Any correspondence is ruled by Mercury, in astrology, and hers is on the Ascendant (if Astrodatabank is correct about her hour of birth), so very important. Saturn - the planet of timing- is exactly square that Mercury so it took some time for the email problem to 'emerge', exactly now that she plans to launch herself as a candidate for the presidency.
It probably won't stop her. She has a strong drive (Mars for drive joining Pluto for force). And Mercury-Saturn isn't bad for politics at all. Her Scorpio Mercury square Saturn is perfect for the politician who uses a communication strategy (which means not telling to much or before it has maximum effect).

There is more in her chart that helps to win elections. Her Moon 112.5 d Jupiter is a help to get support (though it won't be too easy). And how about that 'calling' Jupiter and Sun? It is a statement for self confidence at any kind of level. For more on the chart of Hillary Clinton, see the post on the leader in her chart.

FUTURE
Within a year from now (and that is long enough before the elections of 2016) her progressed Sun will be square Neptune and that is bad. It means negative press, scandal and disillusion (dreams not coming true). I don't know in what period of the pre-elections this is and if it will hurt her. Because on November 6, 2016 there are more than 3 good signs in her chart.
1. Transit Jupiter will be square her Sun/Moon and
2. transit Jupiter will be square Progressed Sun and
3. her Progressed Sun is then conjunct her Sun/Moon.
4. Also, transit Jupiter will be square her Mercury
5. and Progressed Sun will be conjunct her Mercury).

That sounds like success or being happy (anyway:).

There is a nice future ahead of Hillary Clinton, but she will have to make it through the secondary progressed Sun square Neptune periode that, if I am not mistaken, started already with the revelations about her private email account being used while she was Secretary of State, with all the risks involved (thinking of Mars-Pluto) and with all the possible doubts and rumors (Neptune!). The best way to deal with negative press and rumors is to keep things clear and open and have no secrets to reveal...The former First Lady has a Scorpio Sun and a Pisces Moon and is likely to be very discrete with this combination.

DOES THE CHART SHOW A PRESIDENT?
There is a 'Presidential potential' (see http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2010/10/leader-in-chart-of-hillary-clinton.html )
but as always conditions, circumstances, gender, age and (in politics) the attraction of the others make the difference. Just like the Mars inconjunct Pluto aspect in the chart of the executioner doesn't mean that all born with that aspect will become an emotionless killer, the potential in a chart is not predictive. The fact that she is a top politician with influence and many supporters AND the wife of a former President, is the difference between her chart and that of all those who where born on her day of birth, like:

  • 1947 – Ricardo Asch, Argentinian gynecologist and endocrinologist (unethical practices in a fertility clinic and attempts to send him out of Mexico in 2010); Jupiter! (calling, for the international)
  • 1947 – Ian Ashley, German-English race car driver (dangerous job: racing driver and pilot - had severe crashes); Jupiter! (calling, for the international)
  • 1947 – Reg Empey, Irish businessman and politician, Lord Mayor of Belfast (life peer in the House of Lords, no longer active)
  • 1947 – Trevor Joyce, Irish poet and scholar (classical Chinese poetry, too); Jupiter! (calling, for the international)

I wonder in what way Progressed Sun square Neptune  and the lucky aspects with Jupiter in the autumn of 2016 will manifest in their charts...It will be different. They don't want to have the number 1 position in Western politics.

Innovative science; Jupiter-Uranus + Mercury-Saturn

Today I read about Leslie Dewan, born November 27, 1984 and already a celebrated scientist. She is one of the two co-founders of Transatomic Power - innovative way to use nuclear waste for clean and safe energy-. Now what if that could be a success?

In astrology innovations are part of the vocabulary related to Jupiter+Uranus and science is Mercury + Saturn.
Dr Dewan's  chart is in line with that.

There are keys (Jupiter-Uranus) to being innovative, surprising or 'different' in a positive way:
1. Sun in Sagittarius with Moon in Aquarius. Sagitturius is ruled by Jupiter, Aquarius is ruled by Uranus. This combination of Sun and Moon adds to a helicopter view.
2. This goes with Jupiter semi sextile Uranus for innovations, sudden windfalls and a helicopter view

Mercury and Saturn (the combination of science) are special.
3. Mercury and Saturn are  'calling' (not making narrow aspects in sign) for science
4. Saturn rises before the Sun (the classics, status and management come first)
5. Mercury is Out of Bounds (declination 25°42' 6" S), just like Moon and Venus

So, on that particular day in 1984, there was a big chance for a scientist to be innovative! It doesn't mean that everybody born that day was to be a scientist, but whatever that person does will be serious and ambitious and somehow innovative, surprising or 'different' in a positive way. It very much depends on the hour of birth and circumstances, genes, culture and social position in whAt way...

dHere is the chart for that day:

Resonance and the odd man out in chart Ronnie Biggs

In this post I like to show you the pattern of repeating aspect combinations (resonance) in important times in the life of Ronnie Biggs. Ronnie Biggs is one of the robbers in the Great Train Robbery of July 8, 1963,  about 50 years ago.

The natal chart has Sun-Jupiter and Sun-Uranus aspects. In 1963 (robbery) and in 2001(return to England) there were progressed aspects and transits between Sun, Jupiter and Uranus. The 'echoed' the natal chart's aspects. With Pluto, they mirrored the important events and changes in the life of Biggs.

Jupiter-Uranus often 'assists' to create positive change or allows to see the bright sides. With Jupiter-Uranus transits and progressions there is often 'good luck'.  In 1965 Ronnie Biggs escaped. In 2001 he was taken care of (in prison).
As Jupiter is sextile Uranus, there is a Sun-Jupiter-Uranus combination of the helicopter view, sudden windfall, being inventive and for the successful use of intuition. Jupiter sextile Uranus happens to be one of the tightest aspect in his chart.
When transit Uranus and transit Jupiter hit his Sun and progressed Sun, his life changed in a positive way, again. He came back for health reasons.

CHARTS
Here is his chart (time unknown) with transits and progressions for the day of the robbery, his 34th birthday.
Natal, transits and progressions for day of the robbery (click to enlarge!)
In the year of his escape, 1965, progressed Venus was conjunct his Sun

When Ronnie Biggs returned to England, there were happy (?)  trines in his chart.
Natal, transits and progressions for day of return to England (click for better view)

SUN TRINE URANUS ALIENATION STORY
Alienation is easy when the Sun is trine Uranus. You can imagine how much independence you need when you move from country to country, unable to return to your family back home, because than he would be sent to prison.  He went back to England, straight to prison and spent 8 of the 30 years of his sentence there until he was allowed to leave because of his age. When he came back, transit Uranus was trine his progressed Sun.
Again, you see the resonance of Sun trine Uranus natal <> transit Uranus trine P Sun. He was a  'foreigner' most of his life. His final statement was made in the book 'Odd man out' ...

Uranus was accompanied by Jupiter, just like in the natal chart. When he came back to England  transit Jupiter was sextile natal Sun, echoing the natal chart's Jupiter sextile Uranus.
Ronnie Biggs has always been regarded as the most lucky robber, because he seemingly had a pleasant life in Brazil and because he never regretted what he did, until he was unable to say it in his own words. Yet, when he came back, he was happy, again even though he lost his freedom. He wanted to be with his family at old age. In a way, he got it his way.

THE SUN PLUTO TRANSFORMATION STORY
There is no Sun-Pluto natal aspect, but the fact that Pluto rises before the Sun creates a Sun-Pluto combination. Pluto's position in front of the sun contributes to seeing the importance of values, money, power and strategy.  At the important moments of his life, Sun-Pluto combinations popped up to show the stress of transformation time.

His progressed Sun was sextile Pluto, which seems to be an appropriate astrological statement for transformation in life, using the posibilities. He also underwent plastic surgery soon after the robbery (a transformation, again). He left England and via Paris moved to Australia and later to Brazil and back again. That was with transit Pluto trine Sun, in 2001.

PS SUN-VESTA
Jupiter and Uranus are in aspect with Vesta (home sweet home Vesta) in the natal chart. In 2001, progressed Sun was quindecile (165d) Vesta, which says: a period of strong focus on domestic issues. Vesta is the symbol of the fireplace, of dedication and of 'home' (where the hearth is).

LINKS

1. When, in August 2009, Ron Biggs left jail and went to hospital, I wrote about his chart in 'Ronnie Biggs: no more jail'. I found some of astrological circumstances corresponding with his life:
- Pluto rises before the Sun
and money was important!
- Four sextiles and two trines
leading him to the 'easy way' to make a fortune

2. When the combination of planets in a natal aspect is being sort of repeated by transits or progressions, this transit or progression is very important! See the post on Resonance...

The difficult decision - Transit Pluto conjunct Mercury

Pluto is the symbol of intensity, challenges, problems and value. Mercury is about thinking, deciding, communications and transport. I like to tell you about a personal experience related to Pluto conjunct Mercury. On this blog I mentioned what happened with transit Pluto square my Mercury:

Quote:
" Transit Pluto with Mercury transforms opinions and ideas. You might test your ideas about (for example) your political party during this period. The result might be that you decide to leave the party. The result might also be that the evalution of ideas intensifies your opinions (and the way that you communicate about them). You might also be studying hard in this period. I had this transit when I seriously studied astrology for the first time. "

On July 16, when I had transit Pluto exactly conjunct Mercury (along with many other transits) and I had two important appointments:
- one with my doctor (one that I could not reschedule) and
- one with my manager (on a moment of my choice).
I sort of manipulated the stars because of all these EXACT  transits and progressions. I decided to make a difficult decision on the day that I had the results of a yearly medical test with difficult transits. It was a go or no go moment. A good test result would lead to an important step. Guess what kind of difficult decision I made with this list. The answer is in mirror writing below.

1. Transit Pluto (ruler 8 in 6, transit in 11)) exactly conjunct natal Mercury (in 11th house, ruler 4 and 7)
(See the post on transits of Pluto: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2011/02/transits-of-pluto-with-moon-mercury.html : intensified mental activity )

2. Transit Saturn (in 8th house, natal ruler 11/12 in 7) square progressed Mercury
(More on Mercury-Saturn here: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2008/12/thinking-about-mercury-and-saturn.html : this transit is about drawing conclusions and saying goodbye)

3. Transit Orcus on my natal Descendant
(See http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2011/04/transit-orcus-contracts-and-oaths.html )
Contracts involved?

4. Transit Pallas (transit in 4, natal in 10) opposition natal Venus (in 10)
Patterns involved?

5. Progressed Mercury is semi square natal Sun and a bit wider semi square Midheaven
Mercury in natal 11 (ruler 4 and 7), Sun in 10, ruler 6. Progressed Mercury is progressed ruler 1.

6. Transit Saturn exactly semi square natal Sun and a bit wider semi square Midheaven
(More on transits of Saturn with Sun here: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2011/02/transits-of-saturn.html )
Saturn transit in 8, natal in 7 ruler 11/12. Sun in natal 10, ruler 6

7. Transit Jupiter quindecile natal Midheaven soon after quindecile Sun
http://www.astromarkt.net/minor-aspects.html
The quindecile refers to a strong focus or obsession. Jupiter is supposed to improve or make things better.
Jupiter is natal ruler 10 and 9 (and the co ruler of natal first house) and in the natal 12th. The transit Jupiter is in the 4th house.

8. Transit Jupiter inconjunct progressed Mercury
The inconjunct or quincunx mirrors 'something lost or given up'.

9. Transit Venus sextile progressed Ascendant
http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2011/02/transits-of-venus.html
The sextile with the Ascendant is the trine with the Descendant, and all in all: a harmonious aspect with the horizon.

BESIDES, in 2013:
  • Uranus and Pluto in hard aspect with Sun/Moon midpoint (revolutionary change of motivation)
  • Pluto square MC in the solar return chart (change, transformation)
  • Neptune crossed my Ascendant and is 75d Sun and MC now (confusion)
  • Pholus is almost on my Sun and Midheaven again like last Xmas (shooting own foot? turning point in life and condition or career)
So, my decision was not just because of Pluto-Mercury...The number of transits and progressions indicate that something important happened. But maybe you experienced that transit Pluto conjunct Mercury always signals some kind of go or no go moment?

What happened when transit Pluto was conjunct, square, trine or opposition your Mercury?

The chart for talking for hours (re: Wendy Davis)

When I read that Wendy Davis talked for 11 hours in an attempt to stop the law against abortion in Florida, I wanted to know about her chart. Talking for so long is exceptional! What in her  chart indicates perseverance and communications, I wondered. So I produced her chart on Astro.com (without hour of birth) and I noticed that it is (again) a combination of skills, character and the right moment to show it.

You see:

1.  She has 5 to 6 positions in fixed signs. You know that the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) are the signs of strong will and being determined? She has Sun, Mercury, Mars, Saturn and Neptune and possible also the Moon in fixed signs!  It means that she will not stop when she meets resistance.

2. Talking about communications is talking about Mercury. Mercury is in Taurus, widely square Saturn (orb 4d+), conjunct Sun and maybe square the Moon (depending on the hour of birth). Mercury is also biseptile (2x septile = 2x51.42=102.8) Pluto. The Mercury-Saturn-Pluto combination is the political combination of strategic talking. It definitely served a political goal to talk for hours!

3. Why now? She has transit Uranus square Progressed Sun and transit Pluto sesquisquare natal sun. The Uranus-Pluto combination is the combination of revolt and protest. Uranus-Sun often brings a person 'in the news' and hard aspects with Pluto show stress situations.
Moreover: transit Jupiter trine progressed Mercury helps you while communicating!

See the chart, transits and progressions here:

PS The chart of  the day of birth of Wendy Davis has Jupiter rising before the Sun and calling! (no major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees). That is a statement of conviction, optimism, the international... at any possible level.  There is also a tough Mars opposite Saturn to deal with.

The Mercury-Saturn trip

Delay, that is what astrologers expect (at least) when there is a Mercury-Saturn combination in the air or 'hitting' a chart. A good example of the Mercury-Saturn aspect is John Cleese's cab experience. He was in a hurry and had to pay a fortune to go from Brussels to Oslo because there were no plains due to volcanis ash.

When you travel with Mercury Saturn something might go wrong with your appointment. So when I met another astrologer in London with Mercury square Saturn, we were both too early as we expected delays! It's harder to be exactly on time with Saturn...even for astrologers.

Mercury-Saturn block or delay normal transport.  I wonder if  Mercury Saturn is at home on every airport, always, but I am sure that my weekend flight to Nice on October 5, 2012 had a Mercury-Saturn component. We had a delay when we left and we had a delay when we were going home. Cause: there was malfunction in an earlier flight....We also had to be patient in a row for about 1,25 hours just to get the rental car that we ordered.  I waited for more than half an hour, standing in a line up, to get an expensive bottle of water, as the automatic lemonade supply didn't function and the hall was overcrowded because all of the plains were cancelled or delayed. Of course, the rental car had a bruise (not ours), too. More delay...

Interesting is, that when we were not waiting or traveling, time flew! Especially when I was sitting on the terrace, eyes closed, listening to the trees. Maybe time flew because this weekend was a pleasant one (I had T Venus on my Descendant!). The only nasty thing about the Provence in October : insects. I had mosquito stabs on arm and leg on the right side of my body and now I have big red hot spots and a stiff ankle and antihistamine inside. You can't have them all, can you? Not with Mercury Saturn! There must be a disadvantage about the trip...

Charts of geniuses Majorana, Perelman and Turing

Dutch professor Kouwenhoven and crew managed to ‘see’ the Majorana particle, an important part of a super computer to be (but maybe you’d better read BBC about it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-17695944 )

The Majorana particle was predicted by Ettore Majorana, a genius who disappeared at age 31. His chart and ‘disappearance’ looks like that of Grigori Perelman, a contemporary genius. That is what I found when I remembered the Saturn in Pisces of Grigori Perelman and started looking for more similarities in the chart positions, more specific I had a look at their Sun, Mercury and Saturn. I found that Perelman and Majorana both have Mars rising before the 'calling' Sun and Saturn in Pisces. They share a Mercury-Jupiter aspect. Both dealt with a challenging transit of Pluto when they withdrew or disappeared.

Here is the complete comparison of the charts of three famous scientists: Majorana, Perelman and Turing. These geniuses have/had difficulties. Majorana simply disappeared, age 31. Perelman now lives the life of a hermit. Turing, instead of being honored, suffered from being prosecuted because of his homosexuality and died in suspicious circumstances. What they share is a ‘calling’ Sun (drawing attention at any possible level) and a Mercury-Jupiter aspect. Majorana and Perelman both have Saturn in Pisces. Quoting myself:
The opposite of Jupiter in Pisces, endless mistrust. They seem to feel obligated to suffer, be lonely or their faith is a heavy load to carry. Very few politicians have this positionhttp://astropost.blogspot.com/2008/04/pisces-sun-sign-pisces-moon-planets.html

MAJORANA
Ettore Majorana is the scientist who ‘invented’ the Majorana particle. After that he vanished on March 27, 1938, age 31.

This is his chart (B-rated!) with transits and progressions for March 27, 1938.

His Saturn is in Pisces. Mars rises before his sun. When he vanished it was in a challenging period with lots of stress, apparently, because transit Pluto was sesquisquare his Progressed Sun.

His natal Sun doesn’t make major (Ptolemaic) aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees. . I name that a ‘calling’ sun: he will draw attention at any possible level.

Charts of scientists often have a Mercury-Saturn aspect. Majorana’s Mercury is quatronovile Saturn.
Majorana’s Mercury is septile Jupiter.

PERELMAN
Grigori Perelman is a scientist who solved a mathematical problem. He didn’t want to collect the prize and lives like a hermit (see the English Pravda: http://english.pravda.ru/science/tech/28-04-2011/117727-Grigori_Perelman-0/ ) His Saturn is in Pisces. Mars rises before his sun. When he withdrew from society, it was in a challenging period: transit Pluto was inconjunct his Sun.

His natal Sun doesn’t make major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees. He will draw attention at any possible level.

Charts of scientists often have a Mercury-Saturn aspect, I said, but Perelman doesn’t have it. His Mercury is conjunct Jupiter.

TURING
You don’t need to have a Saturn in Pisces to be a genius. Alan Turing’s Saturn is in Taurus, for example.

His natal Sun doesn’t make major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees. He will draw attention at any possible level.

Like in a lot of charts of scientists, his chart has an aspect between Mercury and Saturn: the novile.  Mercury is inconjunct Jupiter.

PS PALLAS
Just like in the chart of Einstein, Pallas is important in the chart of Turing. Pallas is 'calling' in the chart of Majorana.

Isn't astrology interesting?

Uranus in Aries and chart of Einstein

This is about Uranus in Aries, Einstein's Mercury-Saturn and particle accelerators like the one above, re: CERN's amazing test results. And about what if Uranus in Aries is conjunct your Mercury-Saturn...
In Astropost: Thinking about Mercury and Saturn the chart of Albert Einstein is one of the examples of scientists with a tight aspect between Mercury and Saturn. Einstein had Mercury conjunct Saturn in the natal chart. Transit Uranus is conjunct this conjunction now that there is news about particles breaking the speed of light. It has always been assumed that nothing could be faster than the speed of light. Albert Einstein had proven this. This is the chart of Albert Einstein (AA rated, source Astrodatabank) with transits and progressions for now.

Now that there are surprising results at CERN in Switzerland (test results question the validity of E=MC2: particles were nanoseconds faster than light, see BBC) transit Uranus in Aries is conjunct Einstein's Mercury-Saturn conjunction. If the results of CERN are true, one of the most important ideas are wrong. Yesterday (when the news was published) Mars was exactly trine Uranus. The combination of Mars and Uranus is the combination of the short fuse and accelerated speed. Uranus is the symbol of change, news, surprises and worlds turned upside down. Sometimes Uranus is also the symbol of a lot of fuss....

MERCURY-SATURN-URANUS
When your (professional or official) theories and ideas are at stake or cause a controversy you might also see Uranus in aspect with Mercury and Saturn. This transit could also give some new flashing insight that enables you to renew old concepts.

Another possible way to reflect a combination of Mercury,Saturn and Uranus is 'limited freedom of speech' (when your ideas are not being appreciated by the officials or are not 'political correct')... and your opposition against it. Whenever the official theory or idea (Mercury-Saturn) is being questioned or whenever there is rebellion, Uranus is there, too.

LINKS
In the post about Uranus in Aries I mentioned the correspondence between Uranus'move to Aries and particle accelerators. The first one was built in 1927/1928, when Uranus was moving to Aries...
Read it on:
http://astropost.blogspot.com/2010/06/uranus-in -aries-19271928-and-2010.html

Uranus in the fourth degree of Aries 'popped up' when predictions about the end of the world didn't come true and in the chart of the Japanese emperor during the tsunami. More Uranus in Aries:
http://astropost.blogspot.com/search/label/Uranus%20Aries

PS
Mercury-Uranus combinations mirror unusual ideas and unusual communications. In a community where astrology is being discussed and not taken seriously (most communities don't, except the astrologers' community:), talking about astrology causes controversy. Maybe that is why so many astrologers have a Mercury-Uranus combination in their chart. With Saturn, they might try not to mention that they study astrology at all.

Saturn and Lars von Trier

Saturn is the planet of criticism and the punishment for mistakes. A good example is the chart of Lars von Trier, who choose this astrological period and that place and moment to joke about Nazi's:

Transit Saturn inconjunct Sun
Transit Uranus square progressed Sun,
Transits Saturn inconjunct Progressed Mars
Transit Saturn trine Progressed Mercury
Transit Neptune square natal Mercury
Transit Uranus square progressed Sun,

In an interview he said that he understood Hitler. Now he is 'persona non grata' at the film festival of Cannes, although his (nominated) movie 'Melancholia' (...) still has a chance to win the Golden Palm. That won't be a pleasure for this Moon in Capricorn.

Saturn is the symbol of restrictions and inconjuntions almost always mean loss. Saturn+Uranus = restricted freedom. Saturn+Neptune with Mercury might refer to sick jokes. And than we have Saturn inconjunct Mars (dead ends). Saturn is the apex of the Yod with progressed Mars and natal Sun (and Progressed Mars is sextile natal Sun). Mars-Saturn apparently mirrors a disciplinary act (maybe a bit disproportional). Mercury and Mars with Saturn is reflecting nasty discussions. Uranus square Sun causes upheaval. Moreover: Saturn inconjunct Sun is an unfortunate combination of being blamed or criticised (and punished, too).

Those are 5 hard aspect combinations. That is more than 3 and that is usually enough for something important to happen. Lars von Trier managed to be the first 'persona non grata' of the Cannes festival. There are more persons born on April 30, 1956, of course. But they don't all have an interview and their hours of birth make a difference.

So let's say that Lars von Trier didn't actually have a great timing. Saturn happens to be the symbol of timing, too...

In 2000 in Cannes he won. That is when the progressed Sun was sextile Jupiter and transit Jupiter and Saturn where square Jupiter. There is more Jupiter than Saturn in the astrological picture of 2000. That is the difference.
BTW In the natal chart the Sun is square Mars and Mercury is in a strong opposition with Saturn. When natal aspect combinations are being repeated by transit or progressions, there is great impact. Another interesting aspect combination is Mars conjunct Pholus. The turning point (Pholus) in a conflict (Mars) seems also to have the effect of a conflict (Mars) causing a turning point (Pholus).

Barack Obama's birthday

Only 3 weeks to go and the progressed Sun of Barack Obama, who is celebrating his birthday today, will be in the next sign, Libra, moving towards a pleasant trine with Jupiter. The polls may disagree*), but charts don’t lie: better times are coming. And that is in fact good news for the USA, because the people are subject to the chart of the leader. When he is fine, the nation is fine (whoever he may be).  But is he, now?

The inconjunction of transit Pluto with natal Moon will certainly stress emotions, but the sextile of transit Jupiter might also give hope. However: it is his birthday and exactly today is the progressed Mercury square Saturn (bad news, writer’s block, restricted communications, a hard decision to make). The message is: you get olderJ
Anyway, it is his birthday (not his solar return), so celebration time. (I guess that there are no flags like when a queen or king is celebrating her/his birthday?) For more about Obama, see the label...

*)The progressed IC has been inconjunct Pholus (indicative for bad polls). And that is over.
