October 21, 1844 and May 21, 2011: end of the world again

4 Riders of the Apocalyps by Duerer...

Mr. Harold Camping says that Jesus will return on May 21 this year and that should mean that the end of the world is near on October 21, 2012. He said this in 1994, too, and he was wrong. William Miller said it for October 22 1844 and the world hasn't ceased turning. His followers were so disappointed that this day (October 22, 1944) is remembered ast the Great Disappointment. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Disappointment Does the chart of that day show disappointment? And how about May 21? I searched and I found Uranus in the 4th of Aries in both charts. Here is the chart of the final minute of the Day of Great Disappointment with the transits for May 21, 2011.

On May 21 this year the Sun is exactly square the planet of illusions and desillusions (Neptune). That might just be coincidence, because on the day of the Great Desillusion there is no such square. There is one thing that both charts have: Uranus in the 4th degree of Aries. Apparently, when Uranus is in the 4th degree of Aries, somebody announced the end of the world. I received a mail about a man who thinks that the end is near on May 8, because (in Indian astrology) 5 positions change sign in the first 2 weeks of May. On the 8th of May Uranus is in the same position as on October 22, 1844 and May 21, 2011: in the fourth of Aries. Don't ask me why, but if you know the answer, please send your comment.

Is the Sun sign changing to Aquarius now?

A lot of visitors for the post about 'Signs of changing times' (in your individual chart!) and the 'Sunsign changing" (about the individual progressed sunsign) made me think of the reason why and what they were searching for. It seems that birds dropping out of the sky and large amounts of dead fish, the floods, the lack of activity on the surface of the sun and other 'biblical' events scare a lot of people. They want to know if the sun sign is changing now or if 2012 is really 'the end of times'. And apparently, one of the signs of the end of the world (they think) is the end of the Age of Pisces. There are two posts on this blog with an answer for them:
Exit mundi or Age of Aquarius (http://astropost.blogspot.com/2009/10/2012-exit-mundi-or-age-of-aquarius.html) about the Maya calendar, chart of December 2012 with yod and the Age of Aquarius.
1. EXIT MUNDI

In that jpost I wrote that there has never been an enormous disaster predicted by means of astrology. The Tsunami and September 11 were NOT predicted, by noone, and certainly not like this: 'On September 11, 2001 in New York Muslim terrorists will hit a building by plane'. So how can anyone be so sure about what exactly will happen on December 21, 2012 and where? They can't because there is no chart of the world! A chart is related to time AND place on earth. In other words: 'the world' doesn't have a chart or horoscope.

The Mayas didn't know about Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The Mayas knew about their world (South America). They had no idea about Spain, for example and they thought that the Spanyards were Gods. So, they didn't exactly 'know it all'.
They also didn't know about the Yod in the December 21, 2012 chart with the Saturn-Pluto-Jupiter-Yod. And even if they did: the 'finger of God' in the Yod is pointing at Jupiter, the planet of protection, in the ninth degree of Gemini. If you want to see this Yod as a bad sign, I will ask you why. Because Jupiter will be conjunct Aldebaran. See Constellation of Worlds and you will find:
With Jupiter: Great ecclesiastical honor and high military preferment. [Robson*, p.121.]

The 9th degree of Gemini is a nice sabian degree, too.

They also didn't have our method of calculating the years, months and days as we do since a few ages. So adding numerology to the Maya Calender to prove 'the end of times' is only contributing to the effect (fear, exitement) and has nothing to do with the Mayas.
Astrology isn't numerology... Back to astrology.

2. AGE OF AQUARIUS
The end of the Age of Pisces (the 2000 year cycle of today) could be Zero Aries of 2012 (March 20, 2012), says Gene Ray in the post on this blog: Age of Aquarius)
If that is so, what could happen? The world didn't end when the Age of Pisces started. Why would the world end when the Age of Aquarius begins? In the individual progressed chart sunsigns change every 30 years and we don't all die when that happens. Barack Obama's sunsign changed 5 months ago and this is only resonating the (growing) change in lifestyle as a President. My sunsign changed (to Aquarius, as a matter of facts) when my lifestyle changed. Just think of how our lifestyle changed since World War II, with all new technologies and you see that we are already changing our lifestyle. In fact, since the beginning of humanity!

CONCLUSION
Some people just love doom theories (immediate climate change, the Russians will be coming and a comet may hit the earth and more of such stories). Twitter and the internet inform us immediately and that is how we know about events all over the world. Maybe that is scary sometimes. We can only try to be carefull and be alert and do the best we can. Why spend energy on a fictious idea, while there are dozens of disasters around us and we don't care? If you were in Somalia or in Haiti you would think that the end of the world is already here, but if you were having a nice holiday somewhere, would you think of your world that way?

With astrology you can see something coming up, but there is not much you can do, except being prepared to do the best you can or simply hold your breath and NOT be afraid too much. Because just like proclaimed disasters and falling asteroids, some transits and progression come and go without any impact. Why is that? I don't know. Maybe they were only meant to keep you alert and to feel alive or maybe the idea of the brain is to make your blood flow! So let the sunshine in, like in the song! And watch what REALLY happens in your world today. Don't forget to see the good things. Today they found a way to stop Avian Flu!

Exit this story! CU on December 22, 2012:)

Aquarians: Sarah Palin and Queen Beatrix

In the sphinx the three fixed signs come together: human mind, royal Leo body and the wings of the eagle and a serpent headed tail (symbols of Scorpio). The human head (a female head, btw) is part of the combination, like the signs are part of the combination of fixed signs. There is no sphinx without the head, or without the body or without the tail. They are a unity and Aquarius is just one part of it. Aquarius is on the head, because Aquarius is an air sign, the sign of the mind.

Aquarius is supposed to be the sign of liberty, equality and brotherhood. That is why Aquarius is often seen as the sign of socialism and communism*). Aquarius is the sign that is facing the royal and loyal Leo. Leo is the sign of showing off. Aquarius – in the opposition – was often related to Mao’s jacket and the word ‘ comrade’ or the French revolution and abolishing nobility. The French Revolution and the Statue of Liberty are often supposed to be one of the first signs of a new age of Aquarius, a humanitarian and emancipated age without royal privaleges (but I guess it is more about equal chances and indepence). We all know the hopeful song...(scroll down for the video)
Harmony and understanding
Sympathy and trust abounding
No more falsehoods or derisions
Golden living dreams of visions
Mystic crystal revelation
And the mind's true liberation
Aquarius! Aquarius!
And we all know how it was in socialist Rumania when Nicolae Ceauşescu was the leader with absolute power.
So please, no so called equality! But then what will the new age bring us? Perhaps nothing new, but a lot of conservative technocracy and independence in unity. I think so because I have two great examples of how Aquarius is NOT about socialism and equality: Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and Sarah Palin of the Tea Party. They share a lot of placements in Aquarius and a tight conjunction between Mars and Saturn. They do what used to be a man's job. And they may be modern and different, but they are also conservative. In a way they stick to old concepts.

BASIC AQUARIUS
In my article about basic astrology on my site Astromarkt you find a (rather rude) characterisation of Aquarius:

You show having Sun in Aquarius by:
- being just a little different from the rest (of the family or neighbourhood)
- openly having another opinions than the group has
- revolt against suppression
- hearing, seeing and smiling (silence is not your style); being observant
- not showing emotions soon or trying to prevent it
- having to change everything every time

Moon in Aquarius: You have an independent soul and you sure do not like being obligated to have family meetings and so on. You may know a lot of people, but you keep a certain distance when it comes to emotions. Sometimes you have the nasty feeling that you can laugh about your own misery. As a mother you are more of a friend and sometimes distant, too. You seem to care more about situations far away or abroad than about those close to you.

Of course, the sign is just part of ' you' , but this post is about the sign and the effect of placements in Aquarius.

BEATRIX
When Queen Beatrix started her period of reign (now 30 years ago) she immediately changed rules and methods and (unlike her mother Juliana) wanted to be named ‘ Your majesty’ (not ‘Madame’). Efficiently she appointed her own folks at court. She is modern, yes, but she also very much the Queen.

SARAH
Sarah Palin also has a lot of Aquarius in her chart and she is ultra conservative. The majority of voters wanted a president who promised change and she is ready to turn back time. She may be a different kind of Republican and a mother who manages to be seen as a possible president of the USA by many, but she is also the spitting image of a conservative Republican and ambitious enough to aim at the presidency.

Aquarius seems to be the sign of antique shops, too, of revival of classical concepts. And perhaps that is what Queen Beatrix and Sarah Palin have in common, besides a certain drive to work (too) hard: they will do it differently than their predecessors and as independent women on top.

Here are the charts (Beatrix with transits and progression for the day that she became Queen; Sarah Palin's guess chart for yesterday when she started her Tea Party Tour). For more about Sarah Palin on this blog, click here. And for more about Aquarius, see the Basics of Astrology on Astromarkt or this post about Exit Mundi 2012. And here is the link to ' Age of Aquarius' by Gene Ray (about Royal Regulus and the start of the new age).

*)Socialism is in fact (like all ideologies) one of the Pisces-ways.
Besides: I think that Aquarius is the sign of controversy, doing it differently, drawing attention with change and upheavel and a very technocratic style of leadership. Equality, OK, but some are more equal than others are. That is because there is that fine line between Aquarius and Leo, like there is a line between Pisces (Roman Catholic Christianity and monestries, for example) and Virgo (the Virgin, celebicay). Now that we get closer to the age of Aquarius, in the period of transformation of changing signs, we see the decay of the concept of Pisces: sacrifice, seclusion, silence and the counterpart Virgo: service, celibacy and purity.
*)Socialism is in fact (like all ideologies) one of the Pisces-ways. Technology, technocracy and efficiency will rule the Age of Aquarius, IMHO, and the other side will be Leo-like: noble leadership, autocracy and centralism. There will be more and more unions of nations and though they will distinguish themselves and perhaps there will even be a revival of classical and antique habits and protocals, but together they will operate as one.

(says a progressed Aquarian with Moon in Aquarius;)

Here is the song: let the Leo sun shine in:)

2012 Exit Mundi or Age of Aquarius?

Scary movies and scary predictions have a function: they make you feel alive and kicking. Your heart is pounding, you breath deeper. Your senses have been awakened, it is Red Alert! And the kick makes you feel good, when you don't overdo it...That is why we love to do bungee jumping, see 'Scary Movie', or read about disasters in other places than ours. Afterwards we thank God that we are alive and well, sigh...:)

Maybe that effect is the reason why there is so much attention for 2012. What a relief it will be when in 2013 most of us are still around! Or will some followers of the idea of destruction be disappointed? Now that there is a disaster movie about the year 2012, hysteria might grow.

MAYA and YOD
I read that in the USA teenagers plan to commit suicide because they are afraid to die (yes, it is true...). And I found an astrology site with the chart of December 21, 2012 and a tight Yod of Pluto, Saturn and Jupiter (the Apex): http://www.astrologycourse.org/2012.htm

CHART
The Mayas seem to have been very accurate in calculating the position of the stars. They were correct about this one (though they didn't know about Uranus, Neptune or Pluto!!!). So the Yod in the drawing is a Yod that they could not forsee.

It is not such an exceptional chart as it appears. The position of the Sun is the same as it was 25.800 years ago and another 25.800 years ago etc. The earth counts millions and millions of years!

Another thing is that the Mayas didn't mean that the earth or our solar system would die. They meant that a new circle of life would start with a new calender, just like 25.800 years ago! Here is the December 21, 2012 chart for Greenwich. Funny, the Ascendant and Midheaven are exactly conjunct mine! That is scary!;o(( but: it happens every day!:)

Jupiter happens to be the protector of earth, so when a finger in a Yod points at Jupiter, I tend not to worry (if I ever did). I don't worry much about proclaimed ends of the world, because I have heard of so many before and we are still here! I remember 1962, when there was supposed to be an atomic bomb attack by the Russians, and the Jehavah's Witnesses (1975, 1904, 2014 etc),Ice Age, the Club of Rome, Pluto conjunct the Galactic Center and now the Mayan calender ending December 21, 2012. (Mine ends December 31 every year!) But let us get back to the topic '2012 chart!.Let us consider that:

1. There has never been a disaster that has been predicted by means of astrology
This includes the Tsunami, September 11, death of Kennedy, start of World Wars etc. Why not? Simply because there is no such thing as the chart of the world since we don't know when exactly at what hour the world was born. A chart is related to time AND place on earth...

2. Yod's are frequent

3. If it is a matter of numbers (21-12 than 2112 would be a better moment:)

4. Saturn and Pluto are in mutual reception and sextile: they interact. It is a dangerous composition, but...there is an inconjunction with Jupiter. Jupiter is a fortunate symbol.

5. How about the Age of Aquarius? Why would the world end with starting that (read the post of Gene Ray about the March 2012, Age of Aquarius)

Every day, somewhere, someone is involved in a tragedy, a disaster. Sometimes it is groupwise, a war, an accident, a flood. We can only try to be carefull and be alert and do the best we can. Why spend energy on a fictious idea, while there are dozens of disasters around us and we don't care? The fear for 2012 seems to be a selfish fear to get hurt or to die. It is the same sort of fear that thrills us when we see a scary movie. It is exciting, non productive and useless, unless you know what to do next. But it is thrilling. It is a bit like astrology. You see something coming up, there is not much you can do except being prepared to do the best you can or simply hold your breath and NOT be afraid too much. Because just like proclaimed disasters and falling asteroids, some transits and progression pass bye without any impact. Why is that? I don't know. Maybe they were only meant to keep you alert and to feel alive or maybe the idea of the brain is to make your blood flow!

CHART OF FEMINISTS COMPARED TO PALIN's

What is a feminist? Can a housewife be one? Can an independent woman not be one? To find the answer I studied the charts of 3 well known women in the world of women's lib and compared those with the chart of Sarah Palin. I found a lot of Aquarius and Aquarian influences in all of them! So how can Aquarius/Uranus mean democrats? That is another post:)

Betty Friedan died on February 4, 2006, age 85. She was born on February, 4, 1921 (no HOB available). I took a look at her chart to see if she compared with Aletta Jacobs, the first female student and doctor in my country. She was born 9th February 1954 in Sappemeer and she never married (she had a ‘free marriage’ and Venus septile Uranus). She received many threats in her life. So did her family members.

Today I read the blog of Gloria Steinem on LA Times.com, about Sarah Palin. It was written with passion. Gloria Steinem isn’t an Aquarian, like Betty and Aletta are. She was born on March 25, 1934 in Toledo USA at 22 hours, an Aries, with Venus in Aquarius square the Scorpio Ascendant. Gloria used to be a journalist and her first job was undercover playboy bunny:) With Venus square Ascendant a person sure looks good enough to do that! Venus’ position goes together with a Moon on top in Leo. Saturn is the oriental planet. Could the combination of Moon/Venus and Saturn indicate ‘women’s business’? With Mercury and Neptune in mutual reception, as end dispositors of the MC, her carreer was disposed of interaction between writing and vision or fantasy.

ALETTA was a realist and had energy at any level, since she had 50% of her placements in earth signs and no placements in fire signs. Jupiter was her oriental planet, Pluto was calling, so that the combination for success was prominent inher chart. She remained financially independent al of her life as a doctor in one of the first openly LAT-relationships in the middle class.

BETTY FRIEDAN
Betty Friedan was different. She, like Gloria Steinem, had the Moon and Venus prominent in her chart and the Sun was semi square Zero Aries: leadership.

It is not easy to find mutual agreement in the charts of these three important women and of course: feminism is not a vocation. Much of what they were doing depended on the situation, the time, their class and their gender.

DIFFERENT
Betty Friedan was a political activist with Marxist background. Aletta Jacobs fought for her individual right to be a doctor (and distributed means for anti conception). Steinem is still active and involved in politics (she votes Obama now) and was driven by the remembrance of her mother’s illness. Different women, different lives, different charts but united in the way they ment something for women’s lib! Was that on purpose? Because I see another thing that they have in common. They had a carreer of their own in times when women used to be a housewife…

AQUARIUS
Aquarius, in spite of what people want to believe now that the Age of Aquarius is near, is not the sign of liberty and freedom for all. It is for independence, and independence makes us free. But only if we want to. And it does not mean that others are equal to us and should be equally free, either. Some will always be more equal than others!:) Sarah Palin is an Aquarian. She is not a feminist.

PALIN
Sarah Palin has a lot of placements in Aquarius, among others: Sun and Moon. She has the Moon oriental, just like Betty Friedan. Venus on Aries Point draws attention, just like Steinem’s Venus. She can support herself and has a carreer of her own, even with 5 children. But she is definitely not a feminist, says a feminist. Or is she a very conservative feminist? Who knows. She manages to live the life of a mother and a top politician and only she knows how. With that, she seems to be the vivid role model of a liberated woman! She is an exception in the conservative world that she lives in. And that is typical for Aquarius: being different.

In my article about basic astrology on my site Astromarkt you find a rather harse characterisation of Aquarius:

You show having Sun in Aquarius by:
- being just a little different from the rest (of the family or neighbourhood)
- openly having another opinion than the group has
- revolt against suppression
- hearing, seeing and smiling (silence is not your style); being observant
- not showing emotions soon or trying to prevent it
- having to change everything every time
Like Placido Domingo, Neil Diamond and Oprah Winfrey, also Aquarians.

THE ASTROLOGY OF JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE AND BRITNEY SPEARS

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE will be on stage of the Fashion Rocks-concert in New York this year, in September.
Justin Timberlake was once the partner of Britney Spears. It looks like it was a good match. Her Moon is conjunct his Sun! Her Venus is conjunct his Venus. And still...it went wrong. Maybe because of her Venus inconjunct his Ascendant, but most probably because they were young and in their charts you see the indications for having more than one serious relationship.*) Justin now has a relationship with Jessica Biel. Nevertheless, Justin and Britney will be together: at work. This thanks to Madonna, who asked both of them to join her tour.

Justin Timberlake has a few things in common with other male beauties. He was born January 31, 1981 at 18h30 CST in Millington. His Moon is oriental and that is attractive. Mars opposition Ascendant gives him the looks of a 'real man'. Venus is in the cool (...) sign of Capricorn, just like in the chart of Brad Pitt. And for being extra cool Justin has Venus in mutual reception with Saturn. That connects beauty and women to business.

Justin has Sun semi square Venus/Uranus for special beauty and a few indications for success related to beauty and being fotogenic: Venus semi square Sun/Jupiter and Jupiter square Venus/Neptune.

Justin Timberlake is an Aquarius and his Ascendant is Leo.

*) He has Mars square Uranus and Moon conjunct Neptune. She has Sun conjunct Uranus. Indications in male's charts are afflictions/conjunctions of Moon-Neptune, Moon-Saturn, Venus-Neptune and Mars-Uranus &/or between the houses and rulers of 1 and 7. Indications in the chart of a woman are afflictions/conjunctions of Sun-Mars, Sun-Uranus, Venus-Uranus and Mars-Saturn and/or between the houses and rulers of 1 and 7.

THE BIRTH CHART OF THE AGE OF AQUARIUS
20th March 2012, with Sun at Zero Aries

Gene Ray wrote an article about the dawning of The Age of Aquarius: March 20, 2012. Click on the link with his name to find the calculation method using Regulus as a marking point.

Here you see the chart of that moment, the moment when the Sun is at 0.0 degrees Aries. You see the chart of that moment in Greenwich (above) and for the same suntime in New York (below). These charts are different, but some things are the same. And the Moon mayb not be in the seventh house on every place on earth, like in the song:), but yes: Jupiter aligns with Mars (Mars parallel Jupiter).

AN ASTROLOGERS' CHART
Mercury is in the middle of Sun and Uranus. The Moon is oriental (rising before the Sun) and conjunct Neptune. And the most interesting thing is, that there are NO close Ptolemeic aspects at that moment, not within a degree. There are only minor tight aspects; the one that is most tight is Chiron semi square Ceres (orb 2 minutes.
The tightest midpoint combination is: Sun 22.5 Jupiter/Uranus

I like that chart! It is the perfect chart for astrology and in a way pointing at the importance of this moment for a lot of astrologers all over the world. Jupiter/Uranus is the combination that I found in each astrologers' chart. Mercury/Uranus is another famous astrologers' combination. Chiron is frequently prominent in the charts of astrologers. So this chart is a real Age of Aquarius chart, I'd think:)

AGE OF AQUARIUS
by Gene Ray

We all know the song, but do we know when the age of Aquarius will be? This article, written by Gene Ray, founder of The Astrologers' Forum, is very clear about it. The age of Aquarius will start on March 20, 2012.

THE AGE OF AQUARIUS
2012 marks the official end of the Age of Pisces and the beginning of the Age of Aquarius. Whether the Mayan calendar or the position of Regulus marks this change matters little, or even if it is the alignment with the center of the Universe that does so. They are all three very close in the same measure. I prefer Regulus and the most simple and accurate indicator. After all, the name infers royalty, the king and more exactly the regulator of the heavens and thus the regulator of the ages.

REGULUS AND ZERO ARIES
Regulus and the 1st of Aries are the only two positions that are required. The 1st of Aries is the position of the Sun and the Spring Equinox. In Astrology and in Astronomy this always happens in 1st degree of the sign Aries, thus the name. Signs do not precess for if they did for more then the last two thousand years we would be calling this the 1st of Pisces. What does precess are those 30 degree arcs of space that were originally named after the constellations, and so on March 20, 2012 the 30 degree space called Aquarius will occupy the position at the Spring Equinox. Since these 30 degree arcs of space move backwards it will actually be the 30th degree of what is known as Aquarius that occupies the worlds Ascendant on that soon coming day. We should forget trying to relate the constellations to the 30 degrees arcs of space. Constellations change over time. The Stars within them change in relation to each other. Constellations were used as general reference points and those who try to judge an Age by what they perceive to be the beginning and end of a Constellation are misguided.

Regulus resides almost exactly at the border of the signs Leo and Virgo, though technically speaking; this star is still within the sign Leo until March 2012. Even though Regulus belongs to the constellation Leo, Regulus passes through all the signs of the zodiac in about 25, 714.285 years. It is very important to realize that Regulus, whatever sign of the Zodiac it is in is in truth the marker for the beginning of a thirty degree section of space that is called Leo. By moving in successive 30 degree arcs you can determine where these 30 degree sections are located. We can call them by the constellation names if we wish and as Astrologers this may be the easiest way to relate. But we must remember that the constellations were merely general markers in the sky and the stars contained within them have no real use in Age measurement because they change within themselves and in relation to each other. The constellations themselves are of no importance. It is only the relationship between Regulus and the 1st of Aries that has significance in judging an Age, and remember that what we call the 1st of Aries has been located in the arc of space called Pisces for the last 2138 + years. In 2012 this 1st of Aries will actually happen in the space called Aquarius and will take approximately 2,142 years to move on to Capricorn. This of course depends on the idea that there will be no change in motion direction from precession to direct. We can not be sure of this. Remember we are also having a 25,714 year cycle happening at the same time.

AGE OF PISCES
For instance the Age of Pisces began about 131 BCE. It was this year that the Jews were freed from the Syrian yoke. The beginning of the Age of Pisces can be determined by subtracting 2,142.857 years from 2012.
Smyth wrote of it" "The longitude of Regulus has, through successive Ages been made a datum-step by the best astronomers of all nations"

By my calculations an Age is about 2,142.857 years long.
For all the 12 Ages to complete the time is about 25, 714.285 years.
Quoting Professor Harding, the noted Astronomer and Mathematician," the signs of the Zodiac coincided about 300 BCE and before that about 26,000 BCE."

26,000 BCE minus 300 BCE = 25,700 years. So in all those thousands of years his approximate calculation is only 14 years off of my calculation.
The Aquarian Age will begin March 20, 2012 when the longitude of Regulus will be 150 degrees 0 minutes and approximately 4 seconds of arc and then the 30th degree of Aquarius will be on the Earths Ascendant or what will be termed the 1st of Aries. If we wish to know the approximate time of the change of Age of Aries to the Age of Pisces we simply have to doing the subtraction.
2012 - 2,143 (rounded up) = 131 BCE (If the movement of Regulus is constant and of this we are not sure).
Now this is the year that the Jew's became free from the rule of the Syrians and a coin was issued to reflect that happening. If you just Google that date you will find some interesting information.

CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE, MAGNETIC POLES
In 1998 the Sun was exactly aligned with the Center of the Universe, something that happens on once in about 25,714 years. Still the Sun takes thirty years to move over that degree so it is still in effect or in orb if your will. So the coming Aquarian Age almost certainly has more significance then the normal Age change. Some think that this point might signify a change in the Earths Magnetic Pole, but Magnetic Pole changes usually occur at far greater periods of years then this. It has happened that the Magnetic Poles have changed twice in a period of about 50.000 years, but this is unusual.
If there is to be a magnetic pole change some of the things to look for are sea creatures that use the magnetic field to navigate by. Whales, Dolphins and other sea creatures use this field to navigate by and even Salmon use it to find the river they were born in. It may be that Bees also use this field. Birds of all kinds do as well. Perhaps we should keep an eye on the swallows of Capistrano and see if they keep to their normal schedule.
One of the prime theories of why the Poles change is the movement of the molten center of the Earth. If this is true then we should expect the Earths crust to have great pressure and such things as Earthquakes and Tsunamis will occur more often and be more severe.
So be on the lookout for these effects. We might expect other severe weather changes.

CONCLUSION
We will just have to wait and see exactly what will happen. Still the clock and calendar of the 1st of Aries and Regulus gives us the correct timing: March 20, 2012.

RELEVANT:
Nasa tells us that Regulus is part of a multiple star system, with a close companion double star visible to the upper right of the young main sequence star. Leo I is a dwarf spheroidal galaxy in the Local Group of galaxies dominated by our Milky Way Galaxy and M31. Leo I is thought to be the most distant of the several known small satellite galaxies orbiting our Milky Way Galaxy. Regulus is located about 75 light years away, in contrast to Leo 1 which is located about 800,000 light years away. See the beautiful picture of this bright star on Nasa
