Libra and wrestler Stephanie McMahon's chart

The American female wrestler Stephanie McMahon is a Libra, with Moon (conjunct Pluto) and Mars in Libra, too. Her Mars is 'calling' (action at any possible level), just like Mercury, Venus and Uranus. Mars in Libra is the symbol of a fight for two, between equals. Het chart has an important Saturn, first rising outer planet before the Sun. This makes her first of all a business woman. Also, people with Saturn rising before the Sun tend to follow in the footsteps of the parents. Her father is the CEO of the World Wrestling Organization and that explains a lot.
astro_2gw_3997_stephanie_mcmahon_adb.30515.1352
You can see the director screenplay in the chart by means of the 'calling' end dispositor of Midheaven, Mercury (writer), together with Neptune in aspect with the Libra Moon and Venus (the creative/artistic pattern). She writes stories for the wrestling theatre. If you want to see more examples of the pattern of artistic talents in a chart, go to my blog Art-astrology.blogspot.com

Innovative science; Jupiter-Uranus + Mercury-Saturn

Today I read about Leslie Dewan, born November 27, 1984 and already a celebrated scientist. She is one of the two co-founders of Transatomic Power - innovative way to use nuclear waste for clean and safe energy-. Now what if that could be a success?

In astrology innovations are part of the vocabulary related to Jupiter+Uranus and science is Mercury + Saturn.
Dr Dewan's  chart is in line with that.

There are keys (Jupiter-Uranus) to being innovative, surprising or 'different' in a positive way:
1. Sun in Sagittarius with Moon in Aquarius. Sagitturius is ruled by Jupiter, Aquarius is ruled by Uranus. This combination of Sun and Moon adds to a helicopter view.
2. This goes with Jupiter semi sextile Uranus for innovations, sudden windfalls and a helicopter view

Mercury and Saturn (the combination of science) are special.
3. Mercury and Saturn are  'calling' (not making narrow aspects in sign) for science
4. Saturn rises before the Sun (the classics, status and management come first)
5. Mercury is Out of Bounds (declination 25°42' 6" S), just like Moon and Venus

So, on that particular day in 1984, there was a big chance for a scientist to be innovative! It doesn't mean that everybody born that day was to be a scientist, but whatever that person does will be serious and ambitious and somehow innovative, surprising or 'different' in a positive way. It very much depends on the hour of birth and circumstances, genes, culture and social position in whAt way...

dHere is the chart for that day:

What's your orientation? Your chart shows you.

Talk about astrology and most of the time people know ' their sign' (the astrological sign of the sun). That is just part of what your chart tells you. The amount of information stops the majority on the way to learning astrology, so that the sun sign and sometimes the ascendant is all that they know. If they only had the drive to learn the symbols and look at their charts, they would be able to find the most important keys to themselves and their main characteristics. You can find them in your Astro ID like you can find them in the shape of your face, the scars and the color of your eyes. That is what your chart won't tell you (at least, not that I know of), but your chart can tell you:

1. Your general view of life itself (your orientation)
2. Your crucial values and objectives (planets on the angles)
3. Your motivation (Sun/Moon midpoint aspects)
For 2. and 3. you need to have your hour and place of birth (and your own personal chart, to be calculated for free on the internet).

So calculate that chart (for example on Astro.com) and learn or find the symbols. Here is the link to The Mountain Astrologer's site to help you on the way: http://www.mountainastrologer.com/standards/new_to_astro/beginners/symbols.html

HOW TO FIND THE PLANET OF ORIENTATION?
Noel Tyl, in his book Vocations, points at the importance of what he names the 'oriental' planet, the planet rising before the sun. Here is how to find that point in your chart. Get your chart and find the Sun's symbol (a circle with a point in the middle).  Now move your finger clockwise in the circle (your finger moves to the right). What is the first object that you see? Found? Then search on the internet or buy books about the first planet rising before your sun! Or get an idea here! Was it...

Mercury? Well, like many of us, you would love to be a writer, but it will depend on Mercury's position (on an angle, without aspects, Out of Bounds) and your position in the world if you will succeed in communicating or being the 'intellectual'. So find the next planet.

Venus? You go for love, peace, beauty and happiness! The importance of estetics for your career or life style depends on a special position of Venus (on an angle, without aspects, Out of Bounds) and of course on your situation and place in society. You might just look for fun or beautiful women, at worse. So look at the next object. Move on that finger!

Mars? First, you want to DO something (about it). You are likely to be active, assertive and energetic enough to be an activist or soldier or entrepreneur. Or you are 'productive' (and more sexual active than the rest of us). Iron ladies have it (Margareth Thatcher). Read about it: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2009/04/mars-oriental-outer-planet-rising.html or see the post on the oriental Mars of Nicolas Anelka: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2010/06/nicolas-anelka-and-raymond-domenech.html and Johan Cruyff: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2010/03/el-presidente-johan-cruijff.html

If Mars is on the horizon or meridian, too or if Mars is Out of Bounds or not making any major aspect in sign or orb 5 degrees, this Mars will be even more important!

Jupiter? You are a positive person, looking forward to traveling, everything 'international' and/or publishing. Many internationals (in sports or football) have such a Jupiter, like Guus Hiddink (see the chart of his day of birth). More examples on this blog are:

1. http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2010/11/jupiter-zeppelins-and-lady.html ('Gracie' Hay Drummond-Hay)
2. http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2010/02/detroit-hero-jasper-schuringa-and.html (traveller who stopped terrorist on flight)
3. Belgian Queen Mathilde has it: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2009/04/most-charming-princess-mathilde.html. That, and a prominent Venus:)
4. Dutchman (107) living in Belgium, teacher English: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2009/03/107-year-old.html
5. Criminal Joran van der Sloot is Dutch, born in Willemstad (Curacao island), is wanted in the USA and presently an inmate in Peru. Meanwhile he lived in Thailand for a while. The international...See the chart: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2008/11/mercury-square-jupiter-and-natal-chart.html
6. Author Oriana Fallaci's chart has Jupiter rising before the Sun: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2010/06/oriana-fallaci-born-june-29-and-vesta.html

If Jupiter is on the horizon or meridian, too or if Jupiter is Out of Bounds or not making any major aspect in sign or orb 5 degrees, this Mars will be even more important!

Saturn? You are classical:). For you it is Duty First! You follow your parents footsteps or try to walk the conventional ways. This makes you a perfect manager, caretaker for the elderly or scientist. Parenthood (and being responsible or guided by parents) is important for you. You might work for the government (or be part of it). Take for example Jean Claude Juncker http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2014/06/jean-claude-junckers-saturn-and-chiron.html
or André Rieu
http://art-astrology.blogspot.nl/2008/12/astrology-chart-of-andr-rieu.html
Of course, an angular or not aspected Saturn or OOB Saturn rising before the Sun is twice as strong!
Here is a tragic example (with Saturn involved with Mars and Pluto: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2011/07/midpoint-combination-mars-saturn-pluto.html

Uranus? I found Uranus rising before the sun in a number of charts of people who were very very old and I wonder if that is, because they are a. special b. a little out of time, not of 'today'. Here is the post:  http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2011/03/uranus-rising-before-sun.html When you are the only one left of your generation, you might feel like an alien sometimes. With Uranus oriental you may be trying to make this (or your own) world a better place or you are a rebel. Hugo Chavez had it  and Evita Perron had it (and they died rather young, so Uranus rising before the Sun is NOT a guarantee for living long). Sacha Baron Cohen has it. See any similarities?
(Note: Angular, not aspected or OOB Uranus rising before the Sun is extra important)

Neptune? You see the world as a magic place. You may look like a dreamer (and sometimes you are...). But sometimes you look softer than you really are...This Neptune is confusing, often 'double', anonymous or unclear, hiding behind nicknames or simply 'not of this world' (drifting on a cloud). There are ideological/idealistic politicians with Neptune rising before the sun, like Hilary Clinton. Faith, religion, fantasy or ideals guide you. Illusionist often have it. I have examples like Hans Kok, Houdin and Criss Angel...well, start with the chart of David Blain).

Pluto? Strategists have it, and politicians. They play checkons all the time. When Pluto rises before the Sun you see the importance and value of power, money, strength and influence. You may appear stronger than you are. Fifty percent of the 'James Bond's' have Pluto rising before the Sun and they are sure courageous, aren't they?:) They are also sexy and impress you somehow. Have a look here: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2008/11/chart-of-birth-day-of-daniel-craig.html,starting with Daniel Craig. Late Dutch Prince Bernhard (married to Queen Juliana) also had Pluto rising before the Sun.

The Moon rises before the Sun in the charts of people who's live depends on being part of a family, a group (a party, a tribe) or of the way that they know how to deal with their desires. Sometimes there is an orientation on children, childhood and education. Emotions and needs might lead you on the way through life (in a positive or in a negative way). You are the kind of person who is 'emotionally involved', like Mahatma Ghandi was.

Of course, you can have asteroids rising before your sun. They are as important as their position is in your chart (on an angle, for example, on Sun/Moon midpoint or tightly conjunct your Sun). In those cases, search the labels or find other sources to get the intrinsic meaning of that for you. If it is Juno, (finding) a partner might very important, for example.

There are always more ways to look at the meaning of a planet and there are always more parts of the chart to be considered. A very important planet, Sun or Moon might just 'spoil' the effect. Also, it very much depends on who you are, how old you are and where you live. If you are born somewhere on a mountain without money or perspective, the oriental Jupiter perhaps brings you to the library or study before you can start traveling. So take the ideas above and start working with them!

Nasty Pisces (2) like Speer and Eichmann

Some time ago I wrote about 'Sweet Pisces' criminals. Among them: Mengele. This post is about Adolf Eichmann's chart and a bit about the chart of Albert Speer.  Signs are not human. People are not their sun sign. Charts are about more than sun signs. And some born under Pisces aren't as soft and compassionate as they are supposed to be. Where is the shark in the charts of these Pisces?

Someone said, in a documentary, that Nazi criminals looked just like ordinary people. Their charts also look like the charts of ordinary people. That is because you have to see charts related to their background. In critical periods in (mundane or personal) history the progressed chart shows how a person grew into his position. Certain nasty characteristics may turn into nazi characteristics in certain circumstances. This is about the chart of Adolf Eichmann. His background is Nazi-Germany. His education was unfinished. He joined the Nazis in the early years and worked his way up. He was executed in 1962, as a war criminal. Adolf Eichmann managed the deportation of Jews to extermination camps and ghettos in German-occupied Eastern Europe.

EICHMANN
Adolf Eichmann managed the deportation of Jews to extermination camps and ghettos in German-occupied Eastern Europe. His background is Nazi-Germany. His education was unfinished. He joined the Nazis in the early years and worked his way up. He was executed in 1962,  as a war criminal.

Saturn - the career - was rising before his Sun, just like in the chart of Hitler's architect, Albert Speer. Speer, Eichmann and the cruel doctor Mengele all three had Sun conjunct Eris. Above is the chart of Eichmann. Here is that of Albert Speer.

When I read a chart I use 4 steps:
- Astro ID (based on the prominence of planets).
- Character (elements, Sun, Moon, Sun/Moon and Ascendant)
- Aspects and midpoints like Sun/Moon, AC/MC
- Specific patterns
I limit myself mostly to the Astro ID, here. That is because those 'special marks' seem to be enough to explain what brought him into his position and to explain what he did.

His natal chart is an ordinary chart with some highlights. There are 4 'calling' planets. They show the opportunities ahead, at any possible level, somehow and anyhow. There are also 4 angular position (Uranus, Pholus, Neptune and Venus). Venus with Uranus and Neptune is the combination of blinded love and sympathy, while Pholus is the symbol of the turning point.

ASTRO ID

1. CALLING MERCURY, MARS, JUPITER AND PLUTO
- Mercury, Jupiter and Pluto are 'calling' (no major narrow aspects in sign). The combination of these 3 refers to
A. a great communicator who is not always reasonable,
B. someone who tends to dominate somehow and anyhow and
C. to the 'international', occupying himself with foreign matters or living abroad. He also lived in Argentina (as from July 14, 1950) for 10 years until his abduction and arrest.
- Mars was 'calling' for drive and aggression at any possible level. Mars with Jupiter and Pluto gives a lot of energy and drive. This helps in order to gain success. He had a successful career until the war was over.

2. ORIENTATIONAL SATURN
- Saturn is rising before the Sun and will remain the planet of orientation in the progressed chart, too. When Saturn rises before the Sun a person's orientation is classical. They will follow their parents or other authorities. They are realist, earth bound, materialistic.

3. ANGULAR VENUS, URANUS, NEPTUNE AND PHOLUS
- Uranus is opposite Midheaven, showing both the importance of techniques (the mechanic) as the controversial nature of his 'name'.
- Neptune on Midheaven and Venus on the Descendant makes you think of an artist. As there is no pattern of artistic talent, these positions may refer to a certain talent in general and to a combination of skills (Venus) and vision (Neptune). Ideology prevailed (Neptune on MC). Brutus says about Venus-DC: 'willing to give other person's ideas a shot' and I think that this is in line with what happened. But was he 'gullible' or naive? I doubt it. He presented himself as a simple administrator and perhaps expected others to be 'gullible' in this…
- Pholus on the Ascendant is a statement of the turning point on the horizon.
In the progressed chart Uranus and Neptune made narrow harmonious aspects with the Ascendant when he moved to Argentina in 1950.

SO...
So he had a chart with opportunities and chances and he had an Astro ID with 4 key positions. He used his tools for crime without blood on his hands. He was the man who organized crime. There is no way that his chart 'intended' to organize deathly transportations. There is Mars/Saturn on Pholus semi square Northern Node that we can read as deathly common key starting point. But that doesn't mean that 'someone above' or 'the stars' planned what he did. It is the other way around.

In times of war, ambition may lead to crime. His ruler MC is the  Capricorn Moon, ruled by Saturn, rising before the Sun. Maybe that was enough in those days.

SIMILARITIES CHART ALBERT SPEER: ERIS

Hitler's architect was not executed, by mistake. He was believed when he presented himself as a decent Nazi who didn't know about the Shoah. In fact, in order to create a new Berlin, he had the Jews of Berlin transported to Poland just to be able to confiscate their homes.

Just like Eichmann, Speer had Saturn and Eris rising before the Sun. Their rise was in the war.

Just like Eichmann, Speer had Neptune on an angle. Just like Eichmann, Speer had Uranus on an angle of the chart and Pluto 'calling'. Ideologies, techniques, power and authority are of importance in both charts.

MENGELE
Is it just coincidence that Speer and Eichmann had Saturn and Eris rising before their Pisces Sun? Why does Mengele have Sun conjunct Eris? Here is his chart:

ERIS
If you are interested in Eris, see this post: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2011/09/eris-in-chart-of-government.html  that I ended with (quote)
If you have a prominent Eris in your chart (angular, for example or in a very tight aspect with the Sun or Midheaven) you might see more conflicts and be in the middle of it than others do. Do you?"
Speer, Mengele and Eichmann had a life with Eris...Their Sun was conjunct Eris or Eris was rising before their Sun.

Chart of the exceptional Bette Davis

My blog Art-astrology.blogspot.com is filled with charts of artists and actors and musicians with a specific pattern in their charts. There is always an exception, for every rule, however. Betty Davis doesn't have the usual pattern for talent, demonstrated by a combination of aspects between Moon, Venus and Neptune, related to Midheaven and the signs Taurus, Libra, Pisces and Cancer. There is only a tight square of Venus and Midheaven, relating her career to entertainment, beauty or diplomacy. Betty or Bette Davis made her way to the top with discipline, passion and hard work.

SATURN for ambition, parents and parenthood
Her Sun/Moon midpoint is semi square Saturn.
Saturn rises before the Sun.
The importance of Saturn shows how serious and ambitious Betty Davis was. She followed her mother's dream… She had classical schooling in drama. That is very Saturn! Sun/Moon with Saturn is motivated to climb in society. Saturn as the orientational planet gave her a serious approach.

MARS for energy and drive
Mars is 'calling' (no aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees) and square Midheaven. She worked hard, I guess. Was she a 'Streber'?  She certainly wouldn't like to fail.

VENUS-MARS-MC: passion for the job
But there is also passion.
There is an out of sign conjunction with Venus that is hard to be overlooked. The Venus-Mars conjunction is related to MC.
(This conjunction is situated in her 7th house of marriage. She married 4 times - Sun square Uranus+Mars sextile Saturn, Gemini Moon and Venus in 7).

SUN SQUARE AND MOON INCONJUNCT URANUS: independence highlighted
The tightest aspect in her chart is Moon inconjunct Uranus, the somewhat unbalanced need for excitement and change.
As the Sun is square Uranus, there is an aspect combination of Sun/Moon/Uranus that is telling us about being motivated by tension and anything new. The Sun-Moon combination with Uranus also speaks of tension in marriage related to being 'different' or 'special' in heart and soul. There is a correspondence with the way Sun/Moon midpoint in aspect with Uranus mirrors independence being highlighted. She was exceptional, not the usual stuff and she showed it.
http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2011/05/sunmoonuranus-midpoint-combinations.html

The Scorpio Ascendant matches her way to be rude sometimes.

MOTHER AND DAUGHTER
Here is her chart with the transits of the day that her daughter, whom she referred to as 'Hyman' sometimes, was born. Their relationship was bad. Betty Davis disinherited her. May I point at her Ceres (motherhood, genes, heirloom) inconjunct (=loss) the daughter's natal Sun? As she said: ' If you have never been hated by a child, you have never been a parent'. Her Ceres happens to be conjunct her midpoint Ascendant/Midheaven, illustrating the crucial importance of motherhood and ... her own mother, who wanted so much to see her daughter in a theatre or in the movies.

PS The Sun is in the 5th house of games and plays. I suppose that she was born shortly before 9 pm, so that her Midheaven is in Leo and the Sun in the 5th more related to the star on stage.

Chart of Mick Jagger

The chart of Mick Jagger is an A-rated chart of Astrodienst. Here it is, with transits and progressions for  July 12, 1962, the first day of the Rolling Stones.

If I didn't know whose natal chart this was, I'd start with the Astro ID and see the importance of ambition (Saturn), drawing attention (Sun) and...the importance of artistic talents (Moon, Venus, Neptune). Because:

  • Moon in Taurus ('calling' and semi square AC/MC midpoint),
  • Neptune ('calling' for vision at any possible level) and
  • Venus (exactly square Ascendant and making the tightest aspect, a trine with Mars)
  • As the Sun rules all the planets AND because the Sun is the final dispositor of the Midheaven I'd think of performance, show, being a leader or a star.
  • Saturn (rising before the Sun, 'calling' for ambition, no matter what),
In the autumn of 1963 Mick Jagger stopped Economy school (Progressed Sun sextile Saturn), because at that moment the Rolling Stones were already very popular. He became a professional artist.
I could tell a lot more about his transits and progressions during the years of his life, but who would be interested? There are more interesting objects of study. For example: Mick Jagger is also known for the amount of women that he shared his bed with. Among them: Marianne Faithfull, Margaret Trudeau, Mackenzie Phillips, Carla Bruni and Angelina Jolie. He has 7 children of 4 women and married twice. Where are all those women in his chart?
  1. He is cool (Venus Virgo) attractive (Venus square Ascendant) and passionate (Venus trine Mars).
  2. Saturn is ruler 8 and ruler 8 (of life and death and sex) is rising before his sun
  3. Mars semi square Sun/Moon and in Taurus gives a sort of a need for action and production. Or …. reproduction
  4. Venus and Neptune are of importance and they are situated in the 5th house of the opposite sex. Venus and Neptune are important for talents. They are also romantic and tend to have affairs. In the chart of Mick Jagger Neptune (romance!) is calling! It means that because of the lack of narrow major aspects in sign there is romance at any possible level, somehow, anyhow, always...
  5. Let's not forget that Mick Jagger is a worshipped star. The Sun is of vital importance in the chart, ruling all planets. As there are 50% placements in fire and in fixed signs, the sign Leo (and the ruler: Sun) is prominent. The Sun is the star in the chart. It is much easier for a star to get a lot of fans and beautiful mistresses.
  6. Think of the situation: Mick's star was rising in the 'free' 60s, his status (Saturn!) and his drive (Mars=Sun/Moon) came together and the result was the king bee.

TOUR?
Now and in the next period of time, the transit of Uranus and Pluto will hit the progressed Sun, Midheaven/IC and natal Moon of Mick Jagger and probably cause upheaval. In fact, it has already begun.  He is under pressure and there are a lot of speculations (Transit Neptune inconjunct his natal Sun) about a final tour. It is a hype that causes stress, mixed emotions and nerves.
Stage fright? Still?

They say that Mick Jagger even had more women than Casanova had. Casanova was a completely different kind of person. If you want to see his chart and read about him, just click.

Guess what happened (... with Uranus-Pluto)

Last week I showed a simple case of triple Venus for beginners and of course you all guessed what happened: Love! Today the Sun/Moon midpoint is in aspect with a Uranus-Pluto square and I found an interesting case of a double Uranus-Pluto effect in the newspapers. It happened just recently and is a perfect example of the resonation of Uranus-Pluto. So, give it a try and guess what happens when a person has the following indications in progression and transits. And if it is hard to make a guess, than read about the mentioned aspects, using the links. There are lots of them!

BTW Remember not to forget to consider gender (male), culture (Latino-America), social-economic position (working in an international institution) and not married, 57 years of age. Never forget to have a look at the natal chart, too. This is about a man with Saturn rising before the Sun (ambition, the importance of status, age and hierarchy). Natal Jupiter is exactly square his Neptune (today Jupiter is square Neptune, too!). Venus is tightly conjunct Saturn, in Scorpio. And 50% of the planets are in water signs.

Picture that, and than consider this:

A
Progressed Sun inconjunct Progressed Uranus and almost opposition Progressed Pluto. In the natal chart the Sun is also inconjunct Uranus. The natal chart is trine Pluto. Because of the repeating combination this progression is of key importance!

- About Uranus-Pluto in history: http://www.astromarkt.net/uranus-pluto-history.html
- An example of what happened to someone during a Uranus-Pluto influence...

B
There is a second Uranus-Pluto combination in action. Transit Uranus is square and transit Pluto is conjunct Progressed Venus.

- Quoting myself: Venus/Uranus/Pluto

The radical lover who is willing to take risks in love and falls in love just like that. I have seen bad and nicer examples of the intense way to fall in love and change everything because of it and won’t mention them here…
http://www.astromarkt.net/venus-midpoints-aspects.html

C
Progressed Juno is conjunct natal Venus
Did you know about Juno?

D
To complicate Venus-Juno, transit Pholus is semi sextile this conjunction.

E
Progressed Mars square Progressed Jupiter
There is a lot of energy when Jupiter meets Mars, but wether you use it the right way…that is up to you…

F
Last but not least: transit Saturn is close to progressed Mars. Last time October 2011. In fact, that is when something important started what happened now.

Here is the chart drawing for the day of birth:

Can you guess what? If not, just read the news.  Here it the source of birth data...

With Saturn on top (of the age pyramid)

When Saturn is important in your chart, you might end up on top (of the age pyramide...)
It is not always a pleasure to have an important Saturn in your chart. The ancient astrologers already must have known about the icy rings that surround Saturn as a barrier. How else could they have qualified this planet as reserved (cool) and as the symbol of restrictions? Sometimes Saturn simply drops you and the higher you climb the harder you fall.

I recall the positions of the day of birth of late Amy Winehouse. She had Saturn 'calling' (no major aspects in 5 degrees orb or in sign) in Scorpio (see: http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/07/life-of-amy-winehouse-and-astrology.html ).
Duty is calling, when Saturn is calling. The not aspected Saturn sort of demands you to be responsible, in control or ambitious, perfect even.

The 'calling' Saturn isn't the only important Saturn. There is another way for Saturn to be important in a chart. Angular Saturn's are important. The angular position of Saturn says that all things that belong to the S of Saturn are of key importance; such as dignity, position, career, status, age, duty. The third way is when Saturn rises before the Sun. That is when your orientation in life is at 'Saturn' first. The classical, managing, controlling Saturn is cautious and materialistic, prone to be sure that there is enough money for casualties and enough food for the winter.

It is lonely at the top in society. Sometimes you loose control and fall.
It is also lonely at the top of the age pyramid. Yes, an important Saturn could also help you to get old, like in the case of a 107 year old.
I have another example. A few months ago there was a documentary on local television about a 101-year old collector of donations. He was born June 3, 1911 in Rotterdam and taking good care of himself. Saturn rises before his Sun and there is no major aspect in sign.

The importance of Saturn in the charts of the above mentioned two old men might of course include the importance of solitude. When you reach such an age you might be the only one left and you might have seen your partner, friends, children and even some grand children die. That might be just as unpleasant as when Saturn means 'endings' and 'farewells' at young age. Or, when you have an important Saturn, you might enjoy the fact that you managed, on your own or with some support, to get on top of the age pyramide.

LINKS
Both old men had their Suns in aspect with Jupiter and Uranus and other indications for the possibility of getting real old. See Astromarkt about aging or use the label 'old' here if you are interested in the subject.
