Gelila's chart

Would it make a difference to have an excellent or difficult chart in certain circumstances? I am convinced that it does and I already shared several examples here with you. This chart is that of a little girl born at 36d38m11s North and 014d37m45s East, at sea aboard the Dutch navy vessel Zr Ms Van Amstel on June 16, 2016 at 19h30 local time. As my program’s don’t do charts for longitude and latitudes, I had to choose a village nearby. Because of the name of the baby (Gelila) my choice was Gela, Italy.

It was a day and hour with a number of conflicts:

1.    Saturn conjunct Ascendant., symbol of litmitations and borders and the square with Neptune (for isolation, maybe illness).
2.    Mars is the Apex of a closed Yod with Sun and Uranus. This combination is frequent in charts of terrorists and accidents. See the article about Mars and Uranus on my site Astromarkt.
3.    Sun opposite Pholus (and Pholus trine Uranus and sextile Mars) makes me thing of action connected to acute change).
4.    It is Uranus conjunct Eris now (war incidents).

The chart doesn’t seem to be a chart of an easy child. Moon in Scorpio and Sun Gemini… tough communications are to be expected. She may be hard to educate and on the other hand it may be hard for her in between the domestic culture and the place where she is going to be.

I think that it will take very good aspects to be happy or even survive in enemy situations and woman-unfriendly cultures. This especially when you are poor. Still, her parents thought it was a good idea or even best, to step into an ancient ship with over 400 others at a time that the mother would give birth. They say that the migrants are told that it helps to have a baby when you want to enter Europe. But I saw a documentary tonight, and I heard about the lots of African girls and women who end their voyage to the promised nation as a prostitute. There is no control in the EU. Europe even wants to give millions to Eritrea in spite of the bad conditions of human rights. It is the economy, stupid…Always…Leaving a nation that is almost always in a state of war, with over 10 years of military duty, and stories of torture …it must not be as difficult as it seems to me. The invitation of Mrs Merkel helped tens of thousands of migrants to take that step. Neptune in Pisces was there when the big migration of the 4th century changed Europe. At that time, people had the chance to move on, at least more than today. I wouldn’t know where to go. It ends up here. But not no today, I hope.

Let me end the sad migrant's story with good news: her ruler 1 is Jupiter and Jupiter is elevated and well aspected by the Moon and Pluto. She was saved, wasn't she?

Syria, Merkel, Germany and astrology

Battle of the Sea Gods by Mantegna, thanks to Wiki Commons

No way to look away and not consider the charts involved in the tragedy of refugees in Europe today...What is in the charts? You'll see Neptune in the charts of Germany and Merkel, while Uranus and Pluto hit the chart of January 1, 1925 (Syria). And coincidence, or not: Neptune is the planet of 'no borders, no limits' and Uranus-Pluto means intense tension and dramatic change.

SYRIA
The Syrian Federation became the State of Syria in 1 January 1925, says Wikipedia. Have a look at the chart of that moment:

Sun, Progressed Sun, Ascendant, Progressed Midheaven and MC all have a position between the 10th and 16th degree of the Capital Signs. Those are exactly the degrees that were and will be hit by Uranus and Pluto. These two planets were 90 degrees apart (square) since 2011 and symbolized the unrest, extreme tension and dramatic change in the world right now. Also, the Progressed Sun of Syria's chart will be inconjunct Saturn within a year from now. This is a signal of coming decline. Right now there is migration from Syria to Europe. The people wants to move to Germany, where they expect to get a better life than in any of the countries that they walked or travelled through on the way to the country of Mrs Merkel, who recently sort of invited the refugees but she forgot to bring them 'home'. Progressed Ascendant near Mercury (planet of transportation) perhaps illustrates the situation.

Charts of people who depend upon the State or the leader of the nation have to be considered in the light of the charts of the nation or the leader of the nation. The bad and hard aspects in that chart will mirror nasty situation and conditions, more than they do in times of peace and harmony. There is more...
Transit Pluto opposition the Progressed Moon of the chart above reflects intense emotions and the people in problems, while transit Saturn inconjunct progressed Mercury seems completely in line with the difficult voyage with so many lost lives and what people left behind when they said goodbye to there home land.

Meanwhile, the area is at war, people die and suffer, and there is no help on the way. That is how migration started in 376, too, also with Neptune in early Pisces (see my site Astromarkt: http://www.astromarkt.net/astrology_to_study-html/neptune-in-pisces-html/)

Considering the chart above, it doesn't look like there will be a solution for Syria, not soon enough to stop the migration. Now how about Germany?

GERMANY
The chart of Germany (United Germany, October 3, 1990, Berlin, zero hours) has transit Neptune in Pisces inconjunct the natal Sun in Libra. That is exactly the kind of aspect that makes it hard to deal with all the Neptunic things such as refugees, the sea, idealism, beliefs and the media. This aspect demands clarity, openness and open eyes when there is little balance and too much confusion. It is har to do. The chart of the leader of the nation is in line with that.

MERKEL
As Angela Merkel's Progressed Sun is in the 24th of Virgo, quindecile (165d) transit Neptune, there will be a strong focus (if not obsession) with the issue of Sun-Neptune that is in the nation's chart as well. Here is her chart:

In her natal chart Neptune is on the MC and square the Sun (just like in the chart of Obama) to show you that certain ideals, ideologies and beliefs will be of utmost importance in her life and connected to her career. Now Mrs Merkel's name sounds all over the Budapest' railway station. Being an idol that way, may not have been her purpose.

It is a complex situation and apparently, the political leaders can't deal with it. So the people who lost their homes and didn't see any future, made the choice to start walking to an unknown but peaceful future and to demand access to the nation that seems to have the best economic and cultural cards.

Uranus-Pluto and Neptune in Pisces, symbols of revolution and change, did there job. All that astrologers can do, is signal the aspects and point at the indications of dramatic change. There is no astrological solution, but there is some hope.

The Uranus-Pluto square is fading away slowly, and Neptune in Pisces is moving on. Someday, all charts have changed and I hope it will be in a good way.  There are hard aspects always, but these two  astrological indications were present in revolutionary times of religious wars and migration in the past and are now losing there importance. But, like I said on Astromarkt:
Eventually, any hard aspect between Uranus and Pluto issues the value and problem of change, and the price to pay for it.
Some of us had to pay a lot...

History, astrology and computers

The best way to study astrology, in my opinion, is to check and study history. On my site Astromarkt there are three such studies:

In this study you will see that there were more revolutions starting without Uranus-Pluto in history, than with…Thought provoking, not?

Some astrologers said that there would be a world wide epidemic flu when Saturn was opposition Neptune. It turned out to be untrue. Of course, because history shows that there was never such an event when Saturn was opposition Neptune. In 3 out of 5 times Saturn-Neptune conjunctions ‘failed’ to reflect a world wide flu. Why not? Because Saturn has a 28-30 years cycle and massive epidemics are less frequent (thank God). So the Saturn-Neptune connection won’t help us to ‘see’ if there is epidemic flu coming. See the study…

Neptune is in Pisces and we are in the middle of a revolutionary time. I wondered if this corresponded with earlier positions of Neptune in Pisces, or in other words: what happened when Neptune entered Pisces in history? I didn’t find romantic dreams, I found revolutions related to ideology and religion in702, 866, 1029, 1193, 13571522, 1684 and 1848

LINK

I like to share a link to a story that shows how history could have been changed by laptops. Because that is a fact: computers help astrologers to discover more and more about the meaning of aspects, positions and charts. Thanks to the invention of the internet we have free access to a lot of information! Here you see the pictures. For better view, follow the link.

Cruises, Pisces, Neptune and Varuna

A few months ago I booked a cruise in the Mediterranean Sea. We will sail from Venice to Barcelona, via Athens, Istanbul, Izmir, Napels and Rome. It will be our fourth cruise. Earlier we went to Norway (twice) and to the Baltic (Saint Petersburg,  Helsinki, Stockholm, Kopenhagen and Tallinn; we plan to 'do' all European capitals, so still some to go:).
My Pisces Ascendant conjunct Jupiter might explain why I like cruises, even though I get seasick when it storms. This position makes it easy to spoil yourself, too! So it is perfectly in line with a relaxed (I hope!) trip at sea.

The sea is part of Pisces in the astrological vocabulary and so is Neptune. Disasters at sea happen now and then, but this ship (Costa Concordia) and the Titanic hit something solid with a (not exact) minor aspect between Neptune (god of the sea) and Varuna (the symbol of the god of the waters). The Titanic disaster had Neptune sesquisquare Varuna. Costa Concordia had Neptune biquintile Varuna. Also, the position of Varuna on January 13, 2012 is square the Ascendant of the moment when the Titanic sank. And there was Sun opposition Varuna on January 13...
Titanic (sinking) and transits of January 13, 2012

It might just be coincidence. But it was reason enough for me to have a look at the astrological positions during my cruise, as Neptune (and Varuna) move slowly. Luckily there is no connection between them.

Now I wonder about captains: are Neptune, Pisces and Varuna good positions for a captain or an officer on board? Will they be attracted by the sea? Or do people with these influences act like I do: avoid a profession with lives at risk and try to have important data checked by another person, because they know that it is hard not to 'drift off' or forget about things. Neptune/Pisces is very distracting. For example: I should have done that checking when I thought to have found the day of birth of the captain of the Costa Concordia. He looks younger than he is!:)
