Resonance of Sun-Saturn: when Saturn comes back

Today there is a very old ex-Nazi on trial. His name is Oskar Groening. He was a sort of a bookkeeper in Auschwitz, where he counted the money in the pockets and bags of the victims and sent it to the SS-top. Astrologically, he is a good example of my theory that when the planets involved in natal aspects are making an aspect by transit or progression, these transits and progressions have a strong meaning, stronger than usual. They mirror important moments in life. I name that natal aspect being repeated: resonance. It is in the story of the train robber (see http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2013/08/resonance-and-odd-man-out-in-chart.html ), it is in the story of Britt McHenry (see links) and it this happens in Groenings' life/chart, too.

DATA
Born June 10, 1921 in Nienburg, Germany with natal Sun square Saturn
Transit Saturn on Sun and progrssed Sun in his Auschwitz days and later, fighting.
Now with Progressed Sun conjunct Saturn, and on trial

Saturn often mirrors a fault, guilt or blame, criticism and 'life is hard'. When you did something bad or wrong or when you made a mistake during Saturn Time, you might be confronted when it is Saturn Time again.
Gröning sort of confronted himself first by opening up on his past in answer to holocaust denial. Maybe it is, with Sun-Saturn, a matter of self respect, facing the facts of your own life. He doesn't think he is a criminal, still, but he worked with them. Many others did, too. Maybe they don't have a Sun-Saturn issue in the chart.

For more of such Sun-Saturn stories: see the links.

LINKS
1. Transit Saturn square Sun ended the life of a young man who was found guilty by the resistance (and was innocent): http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2009/05/transit-saturn-square-sun-during-war.html He didn't have a narrow Sun-Saturn aspect, but Saturn rises before his Sun, increasing the importance of the planet. It was not a 'what comes around' in thAt case...It was bad luck.

2. On Britt McHenry's Saturn in http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2015/04/venus-is-out-of-bounds.html:
Britt McHenry was born on May 28, 1986 in Mount Holly NJ... Last week she had transit Saturn inconjunct progressed Sun, which symbolizes a good moment to fall off your pedestal. As in her natal chart the Sun is opposition Saturn, this transit worked harder than in the charts of other persons*). Saturn happens to have the meaning of 'to criticize and be criticized'...

You could see 'bad luck' in the fact that there was a video tape:).

Bad moment to act: Mars - Saturn and TV intruder

On January 29, 2014 an intruder demanded to be enabled to speak to the public on TV (see BBC for the news). Nothing much happened, except that there was no TV at all for a while and the young man quickly surrendered. He had a fake pistol. What he wanted to tell the public remains unknown.
It seems to have been a chemistry student with complot theories who lately told a friend that he 'wasn't well'. The threats (radio active bombs, hacker attacks) were as fake as his gun.

He had some serious progressions and transits (like everyone born on February 14, 1995*), repeating aspect combinations in the natal chart. The effect of transits and progressions between the same planets/lights are stronger when there is a natal aspect (however small).
I wrote about that effect before (see the post: http://astropost.blogspot.nl/2013/08/resonance-of-uranus-pluto-and-jupiter.html )

It is the same in this case.

NATAL
In the natal chart we see Sun opposite Mars and Mars quatronovile Saturn.

PROGRESSED (chart of 1 day=1year)
In the progressed chart we see Sun conjunct Saturn and Sun inconjunct Mars and Mars inconjunct Saturn.

TRANSIT (actual position of Sun, Moon and planets)
Transit Mars was exactly conjunct Saturn

Mars-Saturn combinations signal  action or inactivity based upon duty, age, fear or caution, with different results

There are two quincunxes in the progressed chart (Mars inconjunct Sun and Saturn) and there is a Mars-Saturn transit. These progressions and transits work harder because there is already such an aspect in the natal chart. What he did could have killed him. But this act definitely stopped his way of life, his study and his career. With Saturn, periods of life end. Inconjunct Mars it might be in an aggressive and unbalanced way.

There is one more repeated aspect. In the natal chart the Sun is inconjunct Chiron. On the day of his appearance on television transit Chiron was conjunct his Progressed Sun and progressed Saturn and inconjunct his Progressed Mars, to make the situation extra painful.

Last but not least: transit Pholus sextile Sun makes it easy to shoot your own feet at a point of no return.

The lot of quincunxes (4) tell a story of giving up, being out of balance and loss. When there are 3 indications pointing in the same direction, it happens more often that there is an important situation in your life. In this case, it was a situation of decline.
See the article on inconjunctions on my site Astromarkt.

Here are some charts. Click and open in a new window to have a better view.

In this post I don't analyse the positions on the day of birth of this young man. There are keys to the way he acted (Moon Leo for drawing attention, Sun quintile Jupiter for a creative way to make your life more than it is and other indications).

*) If you were born that day, too, that doesn't mean that you will live a similar life or have the same kind of problems. Genes, gender, situation and circumstances color the chart. It is, however, wise to take extra care, watch out for infections and depression this year.

Saturn and Queen Elizabeth I's chart at time of death

Queen Elizabeth I (born September 7, 1533) died March 24, 1603, age 69. That was with Transit Saturn exactly conjunct her progressed Sun. It was not the only aspect (when important things happens, there is always more..like here Mars-Uranus and Sun-Eris). Transit Saturn conjunct progressed Sun was by far the most important aspect that day, for two reasons:

1. Saturn is important in her chart, because Saturn rises before her natal Sun.
2. In the natal chart the Sun is sextile Saturn. That makes any Sun-Saturn contact of vital importance.

Sun-Saturn aspects mark the serious view of life. She happened to be depressed because of the loss of a friend and the betrayal of a man she trusted. Unfortunately, the Sun rules the 8th house and is IN the 8 house. The 8th house is the house of crisis.

The chart of Elizabeth I mirrors what happened (depressions, goodbyes) and that it had effect on her health and way of life.

Bright sides of bad transits/progressions: Sun-Saturn

You know the song ‘Bright side of life’? If you don’t, here is the song and text (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2UP86bciVA ). Sing along while reading this post! It is summer time (well, almost!).  The picture above is 'Fallen star' by

This post is one of a series of posts to help you see the bright sides of nasty aspects (but this will help only when you look at it like if you were the devil's advocate:). Of course, I don’t want to make fun of heavy transits. I wouldn’t dare! Too many of them have passed in my life and most of them were rather unpleasant! It is no wonder that many of us fear the transits  and progressions of Mars, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. It is, because they  use to mirror periods of set backs, shocks, confusion and stress. But there ARE always bright sides, tiny little insignificant sparks of light, fallen stars that may hit you when you are down. I always use music in such periods. So I included a suggested YouTube video, in every post.

Use it for transits and progressions, just to consider the bright sides. What have you learned, gained or experienced in those nasty periods?

The label  for the list is ‘Bright sides’. You find that label on the (b)right side of Astropost.

Sun-Saturn
At least you ARE serious, aren’t you? You see a period in life ending, due to circumstances, and you are a bit depressed because of that (or you worry). It will be hard to look on the bright side of life with Sun-Saturn, but consider this…
Transits and progressions of Sun-Saturn nature help you find your way down, make you see how small and insignificant you  and your existence actually are and when Sun-Saturn aspects move on (provided that you are still here) you will look older and because of that you GET respect, even if you end up poor. Time goes bye, yes, but what if it didn’t and you had to live like in Groundhog Day?

Better now? Well, in case that you are down, really down, and need some confirmation, just see this:

Examples:
It is very inconvenient to have a sun-saturn conflict in war time (and I am serious!)

More on transits of Saturn

The progressed Sun of Conrad Murray AND the progressed Sun of Michael Jackson hit Murray’s Saturn in the same period. It was when MJ died.
