THE LUCKY CHART OF GUUS HIDDINK (going to Chelsea)

Chelsea is lucky. They got Hiddink! Guus Hiddink is the best coach I know and that is not just because he is Dutch:). He is an international (Jupiter rising before the Sun), he has authority (Sun in Scorpio sesquisquare Aries Point and square Pluto) and he managed to make winners of losers (like in Korea and Russia). His Mars is 'calling' (not making aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees) for a special drive! His chart is reflecting successful action and a strong will (many placements in fixed signs). He was born in Wisch (now part of Varsseveld) on November 8, 1946.

JUPITER AND URANUS
There is a progressed inconjunction in his chart: Sun inconjunct Uranus for a sudden and maybe disproportional or unbalanced change or move in life. It is a change with a 'but', like always with inconjunctions. He is going to do this as a favor to the Russian owner of Chelsea and just for a period of time (interim). Nevertheless, there is also Uranus trine progressed Jupiter (for a relief; maybe it is cold in Russia:). Transit Jupiter is square his natal Jupiter and opposition his Saturn (for the advantages of disadvantages) and transit Uranus is square his natal Uranus. A lot of Jupiter-Uranus and some difficulties coming along, but it looks like he is going to experience a pleasant - though perhaps short term - move to England.

Mercury inconjunct Uranus in the chart of Berlusconi

Silvio Berlusconi has Mercury conjunct Ascendant and inconjunct Uranus: a prominent disproportional and outspoken controversial opinion. In 1993 he decided to become a politician and that was in the year that this inconjunction perfected (Progressed Mercury exactly inconjunct progressed Uranus). What he does today is expressing his controversial and provocative opinions on delicate issues. Today he said that the death of a girl whose death body was kept functioning for 17 years, was murder. O yes, I almost forgot: he also has Mercury quintile Pluto for creative power of communications. Pluto and Uranus together with Mercury symbolize the slip of the tongue, the impulsive words. And the strategy (Pluto) to change (Uranus) minds (Mercury). Of course: he is a media giant.

Look at his chart. Neptune is oriental (for a focuss on the immaterial field like religion, media and fantasy), Pluto is elevated and calling! (for the screaming and on top of it all power, money and sex). The Sun is quintile Jupiter and 67.5 (semi square + half semi square) from Pluto. This is the profile for latent success. And watch the prominence of Sun and Mercury on the Ascendant, indicating the brilliant communicator. See how Jupiter is square Neptune, reflecting the theme of the 'audience' and/or religion and how both are square Saturn for the late in life fullfilment of dreams.

Today, transit Jupiter is inconjunct his Midheaven for a disproportional success (in his own eyes) and Saturn and Uranus are in aspect with his progressed Midheaven. And indeed, it is the theme of breaking free that has become a public issue today. A soul has been liberated out of a corps that was kept alive against the will of the owner. And Berlusconi said that the girl could have become a mother still because she had periods. As if a woman is no more than a dead body producing children.

HESS
In my files I found the chart of Rudolf Hess (born April 26, 1894 at 10 LMT in Alexandria) as another example of a prominent Mercury inconjunct Uranus and we know what he did. This nazi flew to Scotland in 1941 with so called peace proposels of Hitler. He was put in jail and died in jail. Mercury inconjunct Uranus: having a difference of opinion, but...having controversial ideas, but...Freedom of speach but...Isn't it interesting that in 1941 he had progressed Mercury trine Uranus, activating the inconjunction in the natal chart? The difference with Berlusconi could not be greater. He had a calling Sun quindecile a crucial Saturn for the prominence of his defeat.

INBAR
Ralph Inbar (born Devcember 24, 1938 at 16hours Local Time in The Hague) was famous because of his hilarious programs on television. He had Mercury inconjunct Uranus. The difference with one Berlusconi is that he had Sun and Jupiter on the angles.

HILARIOUS?
Maybe Mercury inconjunct Uranus is symbolizing hilarious ideas? Hess had them. He gave himself an order a day (like: don't brush your teeth today). Berlusconi has them, too. And sometimes he expresses silly ideas. Of course, this is only my humble opinion (BTW I have Mercury on Sun/Moon opposition Uranus:).

The exemplary natal chart of Emperor Nero

This is the (real or supposed to be) natal chart of Nero. History tells us that he became emperor by murder and that he was responsible for the death of thousands. Eventually, he died by force, too. His natal chart is a good example of how angular placements*) give the right impression at first sight. I used this chart on my Dutch site Astrostudie (as a test) because it is quite clear what kind of a person owns this kind of a chart and what the effect would be in the first century A.D.

Now look at the chart of Nero. How would you describe a male person with these crucial marks, in thAt moment in history and with thAt kind of power? I indicated the special marks in the chart below.

Notice Sun, Mars and Pluto on the Ascendant with Pluto rising before the Sun and conjunct Sun. Notice Saturn square Ascendant and square Sun, Mars and Pluto. This is not the kind of person that will be unnoticed.

The Mars-Saturn-Pluto combination is a dangerous combination. I have written about the effect of Mars-Saturn-Pluto in the post about the progressions of Barack Obama: "exhaustion, working too hard, having to deal with violent situations or using/abusing violence." And I reported that this combination is frequent in cases of unnatural death causes (as a victim, witness or as murderer), with examples.

This chart is obviously the chart of a very energetic and aggressive person with ambitions. It is someone who provokes resistance against his methods. Why?
- Mars afflicted; possible aggression (and it were aggressive times in history)
- Pluto afflicted; difficult and complicated (making it easy to be a tyrant in those days)
- Sun afflicted; possibly arrogant (and why not, with absolute power)
- Saturn afflicted; possible end to an ambitious career.
- Mars conjunct Pluto; drive to win (even by force or forcing yourself)
- Mars square Saturn; acts against what is decent (or lawful) or fighting against restrictions
- Sun on Ascendant (drawing attention immediately)
- Sun square Saturn (seeing the bad side of life or lifestyle)

Imagine a character with this position in those days and you can see the picture of an absolute tyrant who will eventually meet stronger enemies. Character and consequences are simply defined by the 4 prominent placements and the 1 square between them. You can see the picture in the blink of an eye. I think the chart of Emperor Nero is exemplary.

*)When you see the natal chart as the astrological passport, the special marks are the angular placements. Ascendant, Midheaven and the positions square Ascendant relate the chart to the precise spot and time on earth. Tight angular positions make the difference between THIS one person and all the others born on that day (or place).

Jupiter, Uranus and the charts of astrologers

This Astropost is about the presence of Jupiter-Uranus combinations in the charts of astrologers (and popes and astronauts) with examples and links for your study.

The combination (aspect or midpoint) is indispensable in the natal charts of astrologers as it seems to be there, always. The midpoint Jupiter/Uranus will be linked to the Sun, the Midheaven or Mercury in the charts of astrologers or those who are related to astrology in the eyes of the public. Sometimes the Jupiter/Uranus-connection is indirect and/or constructed by the signs ruled by Jupiter and Uranus (Sagittarius and Aquarius). There are often aspects connecting Sun, Mercury or Midheaven with Jupiter and Uranus. Try and see for yourself, there is a link to the dates and hours of birth of famous astrologers below. Jupiter-Uranus is also important in the charts of astronauts (watching the world from above) and modern popes (giving their view of the world today), as you will see.

Jupiter/Uranus is the combination of 'relief' in transits and progressions. It promises the ability to look ahead and to sketch another point of view (or, to see the world, an event or a person from a different or renewed point of view). That is what I believe is the meaning of Jupiter-Uranus.

To be able to watch the world and mankind from an alternative or elevated point of view seems to be the general meaning of Jupiter/Uranus. Having the connection does not mean that you will be an astronaut, pope or astrologer. But if you are, you might need a helicopter view...



ASTROLOGERS
Let me give some examples of astrologers with Jupiter/Uranus connections:
-Ebertin: Moon 22.5 degrees from Jupiter/Uranus; Mars 112.5 degrees from Jupiter/Uranus, Uranus semi square Sun/Jupiter, Sun septile the oriental Jupiter and quintile Uranus.

- Louis de Wohl: Jupiter (ruler of the Moon) very tightly sextile Uranus (ruler of the Sun), in the 24th degree, just like the Midheaven (Jupiter semi sextile and Uranus square MC), 5 positions in Aquarius and two in Sagittarius, among which Uranus (ruler of Aquarius). Uranus and Jupiter are in mutual reception, too. See the post about De Wohl for his chart.


- Noel Tyl, see the chart above, has the connnection between Jupiter and Uranus, too. Both planets are both tightly sextile his Midheaven and the Midheaven is conjunct Jupiter/Uranus. His Sun is conjunct hirs oriental Jupiter and trine Uranus. And Uranus is the apex of a midpoint yod with Sun/Moon (Sun/Moon opposition Uranus). So Jupiter and Uranus are prominent in his chart, related to Midheaven and to each other.

- Jean-Baptiste Morin (see his chart above) had an oriental Uranus conjunct Mercury and Sun conjunct Jupiter. His Midheaven was semi square Jupiter/Uranus. And Jupiter was related to ASC/MC.


ALTERNATIVE COMBINATIONS
- Karen Hamaker-Zondag has Uranus sesquisquare Sun/Jupiter
- Lea Manders has Uranus conjunct Mercury/Jupiter, Uranus conjunct Midheaven and Juiter semi sextile Midheaven
- Robert Hand has Jupiter sesquisquare Sun/Uranus with Jupiter septile Uranus, Jupiter trine Midheaven and Uranus quintile Midheaven
- John Addey*) had Midheaven semi square Jupiter/Uranus, Uranus (square ASC) semi square Sun/Jupiter
- Dutch astrologer Ram had Jupiter on top 67.5 Sun/Uranus.

And how about Walter Pullen, Alois Treindl and Alan Leo with the oriental Jupiter 22.5 degrees from Mercury/Uranus. Or how about Walter Koch (Sun related to Jupiter/Uranus and Jupiter square Mercury/Uranus?

BTW not only famous astrologers have the Jupiter-Uranus connection in their chart. Notice that most of the people who are seriously studying astrology share this combination! It means that we are sharing a controversial but exciting (Uranus) conviction (Jupiter).

*) John M. Addey in the 50's investigated the natal charts of about 1000 very old persons. He found significant differences in the nature of aspects n the charts of the aged compared to a group of patients (polio) and published his findings in 'The search for a Scientific Starting Point', Astrology, vol. 332, no. 3. The funny thing is that his study was abused to prove astrology wrong (by Lawrence E. Jerome). He published that Addey was dissapointed to find that Capricorns did not live longer than Pisces. (Perhaps that was the reason to start his study:) in an article against astrology.
