Grand and small trines and John Demjanjuk's chart

The chart of John Demjanjuk is a good example of the effect of a grand and a tight small trine. The three planets of trines are involved in difficult midpoint combinations. The five planets of the small and grand trine aren't easy planets. Now: what rules? The trine or the midpoint combinations or the meaning of the planets involved? Are sextiles and trines ‘harmonious’ in the sense of ‘good’? Or are they, what I think that they are doing, just making it easy to let the good and bad energies of planets flow. Take for example this chart, the chart of the day of birth of John Demjanjuk. On the day of Demjanjuk’s birth there was a grand trine (Mars, Uranus, Pluto) and an ever tighter small trine (Mars, Saturn, Pluto)!

There were two important events in the life of John Demjanjuk today:

1. He was found guilty

And transit Saturn is square his Progressed Sun

2. He was allowed to leave prison because of his age

In the progressed chart Sun is conjunct Venus.

A third aspect is Progressed Mercury square Mars (hot discussions).

I have written about Demjanjuk before. He is supposed to have been a guard in Sobibor. Earlier in Israel they thought he was not the terrible Ivan of Treblinka. It is a long story, please see Wikipedia for the details and the historical facts. Here is some more about the positions of April 3, 1920. That is the day of birth of Demjanjuk. The positions of that chart should be seen in the light of the situation and circumstances. He lived in a country conquered by the Nazi’s.

There are a lot of trines (and a sextile). That tells me that he is the kind of person to choose the easy way out in times of trouble. Sometimes the easy way out is the wrong way.

There is a small trine formed by Mars, Saturn and Pluto in his chart of  April 3, 1920. You know that Mars, Saturn and Pluto together are the combination of unnatural death. Apparently that was the theme on April 3, 1920, the day that he was born in Kiev. This combination was repeated 3 times in midpoint combinations (Mars - Saturn/Pluto; Saturn - Mars/Pluto; Pluto - Mars/Saturn). The midpoint combinations show hard and dangerous methods and the danger of death or the disadvantages of using violence.

He has been accused of using violence and there was a risk of capital punishment for a long time.

I quote myself:

"I think that the midpoint combinations point at actual events and hard times. And that the small trine symbolises the way you deal with it.

(...)

He could get away with it for a long long time. And that is the effect of the small trine."

Also, there is Uranus rising before Sun and inner planets. That is not unusual in the charts of those who get very very old.

NATAL CHART

Quoting myself:

On his birthday 50% of the placements were in water sign (...) Saturn is opposition Uranus (the theme of limited freedom) and biquintile Sun (a creative way to lengthen life...he had been convicted 20 years ago!). 

Water signs tend to go with the flow and be more biased. See the post about bias in the chart.

PROGRESSIONS

When it comes to progressions and transits, Saturn and Pluto keep coming back. Saturn and Pluto progressions and transits are connecting the episode of the Second World War to the moment of punishement and prosecution.

Quoting myself again:

During the war Demjanjuk had progressed Sun trine Pluto and sextile Saturn, with transit Saturn conjunct progressed Sun and transit Pluto square progressed Sun. The Saturn-Pluto combinations sometimes include having to pay later...

At his first trial in 2005/2006 progressed Sun was conjunct progressed Pluto and sextile Saturn. The Saturn-Pluto combination for hard confrontations... It changed his life and endagered it, but... he is a die hard!   

It is the boomerang effect...

Michèle Martin, Marc Dutroux and Jupiter

Somebody judged that Michèle Martin is free to leave jail for a monestry in France (if France will allow that). That is after spending 15 years (half of the sentence of 30) in jail for helping husband Marc Dutroux, the Belgian rapist and murder. Is it a surprise that Jupiter was exactly (!!!) square her Sun when the judge decided that? Jupiter is the symbol of positive judgement. Jupiter was also important in the chart of Marc Dutroux, whenever he met a friendly judge or got married.

1. Marriage and divorce no. 1

His first marriage is in 1979 with Transit Jupiter square Ascendant and then conjunct MC.

2. In 1982 he met his later wife Michele Martin. Together they accomplish rapes. He meets her when Jupiter is transitting his natal Sun.

3. Transit Jupiter square MC mirrors the nice judge who said 13 years for him and five for her would be enough punishment for multiple rape, even though Dutroux’s mother pleaded that he would never release the monster. But they did, in 1992.

4. He was arrested and released in the year of Jupiter on the Descendant. At that time he had killed two girls and two 8-year olds were dying in his cellar, because Michele Martin didn’t feed them.

Why did they let him go? His wife and children suffered too much…

It is not amazing that Progressed Moon was trine Jupiter then and progressed Venus sextile Jupiter. He must have felt ‘great’ having mislead the judges again.

Back to Michele Martin and her chart.

Michele Martin is a convict. Saturn and Uranus are important in her chart. Uranus is angular, Saturn rises before the Sun and Mercury. Saturn and Uranus are the combination of limited freedom, breaking free and restricted independence. And today, now that the newspapers mention the fact that she WILL be free: progressed Venus is on her Ascendant. That is for joy. That is for when your situation is improving. There are a lot of restrictions and rules to obey in the convent. 

Few will grant her that. She is one of the most hated women in the world. She could have saved the lives of two little girls and she didn't. I don't suppose that we can read her chart like if she was a normal person, because she is not. I don't want to understand how she managed to be who she has become and I don't want to study her chart. I just know that her Sun sign Capricorn matched with the sun sign of Marc Dutroux (Scorpio) and that his Jupiter is trine her Sun (for trust and support). The signs of their Moons, Mercury's, Venus' and Mars all matched. . Also her Mars is trine his Pluto (it is easy for him to impress her?). Anyway, she seemed to have been the perfect partner for a serial killer, the perfect match. 

I hope she has really changed and Jupiter’s transit can be justified. There is no justice in the way that transits happen or don't. Jupiter is on the wrong side, often. But who are we to judge that?

Sun/Moon midpoint combinations with asteroids and dwarf planets

When I found out that I have Sun/Moon conjunct Ceres I got even more interested in the meaning of Sun/Moon midpoint combinations with dwarf planets and asteroids. Ceres is the symbol of nutrition and motherhood (and of the dynasty). That is why Ceres is important in the charts of women who deliver the next king. Cooks also have important Ceres' (see http://astropost.blogspot.com/2009/03/astrological-recipe-for-famous-chef.html ), but I am not a cook and I am not a member of a 'dynasty'. I am not on a diet, either...So I still am working on the meaning of Sun/Moon/Ceres for myself. Maybe I will end my life breeding dogs, who knows:) Anyway, I should be motivated by Ceres and the need to nurture, but I am afraid that the picture of Big Mama doesn't suit me much. Though one grows bigger all the time, of course:) If you want to know more about Ceres, go here...

In my opinion the Sun/Moon combinations with Ceres, Pallas, Pholus and Quaoar could sound like this:

• Sun/Moon with Ceres

Motivated by results (the harvest), roots, genes, motherhood or nutrition. The need to be nurtured or to feed others (with food, ideas or dreams….etc.)

• Sun/Moon with Eris

Motivated by discord or anger. The need not to be underestimated or forgotten? (Don’t you forget about Eris!

• Sun/Moon with Pallas

Motivated by seeing patterns and displaying them. The need to arrange things.

• Sun/Moon with Quaoar

Motivated to create new perspectives. The need to create a new way of living for themselves or for the world

• Sun/Moon with Pholus

Motivated to cause a turning point (a goal in football, for example). Need to make (immediate) changes

Sun/Moon midpoint combinations with Node, Ascendant and Midheaven

In the last couple of days I have written a lot about midpoint combinations of Sun/Moon. I haven't mentioned the midpoint combinations with Northern Node, Ascendant and Midheaven, yet. They are illustrating that someone is being motivated by others (Node: family, community) or the situation and environment (Ascendant) or by the condition/status (MC).

When you have a combination of Sun/Moon/Node in your chart your are connected to others with heart and soul and much of what you want to do in life is related to your family, party, community or country. For example, the Spanish King Juan Carlos has Sun conjunct Moon/Node. With Sun/Moon/Ascendant you tend  to come out and show the modus vivendi of your group and the others motivate you to present yourself as one of them.
With Sun/Moon/Midheaven you are a public figure, a person who displays a certain way of living to the public, like Stephanie Grimaldi of Monaco, for example.

Those combinations of Sun/Moon with Ascendant and Midheaven are the most personal combinations. When you have Sun/Moon in hard aspect with AC/MC the importance of your situation and condition is highlighted. It takes a correct time of birth for the AC/MC and Sun/Moon combinations.

When one chart is up and the other one is down...

How can you laugh when you know I'm down?!

That must have been written by someone who is familiar with the situation of one person having T Saturn in aspect with natal or progressed Sun,MC or Asc or Moon...next to someone with transit Venus trine Sun or another nice transit that makes you count your blessings. When a family member has reason enough to feel down, how can you be happy and full of joy? You will be influenced by the other (and more if you care much about this person and/or if you are sensitive and compassionate). 
So, how CAN you laugh with Venus, then? Silently? Smiling? Or should Venus just give access to the candy shop, smooth and swiftly?:) How to read these two charts and the effect on each other? I will give it a try.

BTW I don't mean the situation of having fun because of someone else's misfortune. This is about LOVED ones and meant for those who care about others.

MINOR ASPECTS INVOLVED?When two people are close and their charts have tight synastry aspects, the Saturn transit might hit the chart of the other person, too. Perhaps in a minor aspect (not directly visible, but underneath, for example a transit of Saturn with Sun/Moon). And the Venus trine might help the other, not directly but by comforting the other. Comfort (in both senses) belongs to Venus, too. Helping your loved ones makes you feel good. And for the Saturn-transit-person: trying not to be too down when you are in the company of someone who just had good news might (just for a minute) lift you up a bit, too. Or when someone is scared and fears the critics (the Saturn person) the Venus person might cheer him/her up and give some compliments. The situation reminds me of the final jury in a contest, when two persons just heard that one has lost and the other is the chosen one. The loser pretends to be happy for the winner and the winner tries to comfort the loser and be happy at the same time. Difficult! That is why I don't sing!:) 

SO...When people are close you should also consider the chart or charts of the loved ones. They color the meaning of transits and progressions, just like the emotions of  your loved ones color yours. 

A chart has to be seen in the light of situations (private and national), conditions, cultures, age, gender and with the charts of the most important persons in somebody's life, too. Mothers and children are close. It is Mothers Day today. How many mothers would laugh, when their child is down, I wonder?
