PROGRESSED CONJUNCTION SUN-JUPITER AND HILLARY CLINTON

It is almost inevitable: Hillary Clinton will be the next President of the USA. Democrats won’t vote for a Republican and many Republicans won’t vote for Donald Trump. The astrological prospects are OK, too, though there might be nasty aspects with Moon, Ascendant or MC that we don’t know of, because her hour of birth remains a secret. This limits the astrologer, but there is still a lot to see in her chart. We know that she is a very ambitious woman and we can see that in the chart. How? Now I found another interesting key to success in her progressed chart.

In the progressed chart Jupiter rises before the Sun since 1983 and that is a good sign if you want a president who is open, optimistic and with a broad orientation.

In 1983 she got an important function (http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2015/04/hillary-clinton-2016-arkansas-116939 ) in Arkansas. That was the year that changed her life. The progressed chart shows it.

Instead of Neptune rising before the Sun since the day she was born, the progressed conjunction with Jupiter in 1983 changed her orientation. She used to be idealistic in the first place. Jupiter altered that. Jupiter is the planet of traveling, the international, success and education (the higher level). She also changed her name to Hillary RODHAM Clinton in that year.

PROGRESSED SUN CONJUNCTIONS

Conjunctions of the progressed Sun signal a very important change in the way that you continue. When you were born with Saturn rising before the Sun, your parents are of utmost importance and anything ‘classical’ or ‘official’, too. When later in life your progressed Sun is conjunct Mars (and Mars becomes the first to rise) you will have a different perspective and become more assertive, active and fiery than you were originally. You may look like a different person, from reserved to fiery.

MY PROGRESSED CONJUNCTION

The progressed conjunction of Sun and Mercury was in May 1971, marking the period of change due to marriage and changing my name, using my husband’s. There is no other progressed conjunction in my life.

FINDING THE PROGRESSED CONJUNCTION

It is quick and easy: you find the progressed conjunction in the ephemeris, taking one day for a year after birth. In my 21^st day after birth the Sun was conjunct Mercury.

CONJUNCTIONS WITH NATAL PLANETS

When the progressed Sun is conjunct a natal planet, there Is no change in orientation. It marks the start of a new period in life.

Don Johnson's chart and life (a Venus-Uranus thing)

On the way to the office I listen to the radio in my car and this week there was an 80s week. That brought me back to Miami Vice. I confess: in the 80s I was a Miami Vice fan, especially because of Don Johnson. Looking back, I can see why (well, who can't:)?). It must have been the combination of the music by Jan Hammer, the fashion, the cars (I love fast cars) and the man…It is also a Venus-Uranus thing.

I didn't 'fancy' movie stars since I was a teenager, so Don Johnson had something special. There is an astrological explanation: his Venus is inconjunct my Uranus. His Venus is also inconjunct the Uranus of many women (and men!) of my age. Venus-Uranus: that is an exciting aspect…! The quincunx points at the exaggeration.

Of course, I was not his only fan, at the time. But there is more in the synastry. Perhaps that is why I even bought his CD. It is:

• His Jupiter is spot on conjunct my Moon. 
• His Ascendant/MC midpoint is conjunct my Jupiter. 

Jupiter always helps to make you a fan.

There is also his Sun conjunct my Chiron. Every person born on December 15 has the Sun on my Chiron. I can heal them all:). You see, I checked the web for the synastry Sun-Chiron and found something about healing and teaching here ( http://www.astroknowlogy.com/questions/sun-conjunct-chiron-in-synastry).

Of course, I never met Don Johnson and our worlds are far apart (geographically and socially). Even if we were neighbors, his Saturn square my Sun could have been standing between us.

Here is his chart with today's transits and progressions.

ACTOR
Don Johnson is an actor. His Sun is in minor aspect with Neptune (a semi sesquiquadrate, 135/2=67.5 for the reader with an eye for calculations). Sun-Neptune aspects are not uncommon in the charts of actors in series. They sometimes take over the habits and attitude of the character they play. See Astromarkt about Sun-Neptune and identity questions (am I who they say that I am?).

The Moon rises before his Sun and is square Venus. There is no closed pattern of talent like in the charts of other actors and artists. His MC in the first degree of Gemini is in minor aspect with both Venus (112.5 d aspect, square + half semi square) and Neptune (wider sesquisquare). So Midheaven is in aspect with Venus and Neptune and via Venus with Moon. Circumstances (the public) are important in the reason why he works in the entertainment industry.
Mercury rules the MC and is in the 5th house of entertainment. The final dispositor of the Midheaven is the prominent Moon. An important Moon helps to keep memories alive and to act.
He has Venus biquintile Uranus, for creative rhythm and for a creative way to be attractive again and again. Maybe that is why he married Melanie Griffith twice.
BTW The chart is AA-rated by Astrodienst. That is because a not named friend said that he looked at the BC. I hope that is correct.

FATHER AND PARTNER
Don Johnson has six children now (watch that Jupiter - symbol of 'a lot' in the 5th house of children!)

He married Melanie Griffith (twice), even though their Venus don't match at all (his in Aquarius, hers in Virgo).
He also had a relationship with Barbra Streisand. They had a Mars square Mars synastry (fire and …fight later) and his Jupiter and Uranus were in hard aspect with her Sun and Pluto. They had an affair in the years that his progressed Sun was in aspect with both Jupiter and Uranus! Barbra Streisand came into his life when sudden windfall and positive changes happened or maybe she was the positive change of his life. However: his Scorpio Moon in hard aspect with her Sun/Moon midpoint shows attraction. But her Saturn opposition his Sun/Moon midpoint could have been the breaking point. Perhaps the age difference (a Saturn issue) did it.

LIFE AND PROGRESSIONS/TRANSITS
Until Miami Vice Don Johnson didn't have much success. But he was good looking in the 80s!  When Miami Vice started on September 28, 1984 there were signs of change.

- his progressed Sun was in the last degree of Capricorn, about to change sign
- transit Pluto had been inconjunct MC (stress, change with a loss or lacking balance)
- progressed Midheaven was about to make a quincunx with natal Jupiter (progress but having to give up on something to achieve it)
- in the progressed chart MC conjoint Uranus (square Ascendant), signaling a significant change in his position in society
- also in the progressed chart there was Pluto semi square MC and AC: a challenging and sometimes difficult change in status and situation.
- Venus was trine Neptune in the progressed chart. There were golden chances for the artist and for romantic affairs.
The inconjunctions or quincunxes seem to mirror the exceptional and unbalancing success. In total the list above includes 5 signs of change.

Those aspects where when the most successful years in his life started. I think that the first aspect in the new (progressed) sign says a lot about the nature of changing life style when the progressed Sun changes sign.

For Don Johnson, the first aspect to make in the new sign was: Progressed Sun conjunct Jupiter and inconjunct Uranus, this within 4 years.

• In 1987 he was named the sexiest man alive. 
• In 1988 he had that relationship with Barbra Streisand and he had a prize in the World Offshore Powerboating Championship. 
• In 1989 he married Melanie again. 

THE YEARS AFTER
But then, in 1992, 8 years after the start of Miami Vice he started drinking again. His attitude during the making of later series seems to have been bad (arrogant behavior: Jupiter inconjunct Ascendant).
In May 2008 he almost lost his house. That was with transit Saturn close to the Ascendant, after Transit Saturn square MC and with Progressed MC inconjunct Sun and Progressed Sun. Also transit Pluto was inconjunct his natal MC and conjunct progressed Moon. It must have been a hard period of stress.

With transit Pholus coming up and the progressed Sun about to change sign again, other changes in the life of Don Johnson show up on the horizon in the next two years. The days of Miami Vice have gone.

NOW
He is 63 now. Progressed Venus is close to conjoin Jupiter and have a party, a wedding or at least: more luxury and fun. Progressed Mercury conjunct Jupiter, not long ago. In December 2012 he was with Jay Lenno. In January he was paid 19 million dollar for his share by Rysher Entertainment for  half of the copyright of Nash Bridges, enough for retirement?

Into the wild with Mars TRINE Neptune (Chris McCandless)

Recently I saw parts of the movie 'Into the wild' again. It is about Christopher McCandless (picture above), who got into trouble and died of starvation on a road trip to Alaska, alone. They estimated that he died on August 18, 1992, now 20 years ago. He left a diary and notes and a book was written about his experiences, followed by a movie. I think that much of what happened, happened because of the tightest aspect in his chart, the trine between Mars and Neptune.

Don't get me wrong! I know that there is more! For example: the Sun semi square Saturn and inconjunct Pluto (die hard combination; difficulties and restrictions), Sun biquintile Uranus and semi square Saturn (breaking free), the Sun square Neptune and inconjunct Pluto (the silent force, the mystery), or Sun conjunct Pholus (risk to shoot your own foot; the catalyst).  Sun in Aquarius biquintile Uranus means a creative way to be independent and free. It is a sort of an ultimate Aquarian dream that turned into a nightmare when being different and independent turned into being an alien in a hostile environment. 

It is 'Mars trine Neptune' what I like to discuss here, also because of the effect of transit Neptune - Progressed Mars later.  This trine again raises questions about the harmony of trines.

IMPORTANCE OF MARS TRINE NEPTUNE HERE
Mars trine Neptune is important in the chart of Chris McCandless. Mars trine Neptune is the tightest aspect. Tight aspects are most important, IMO (if time of birth is important, how couldn't the tightness of aspects be?) Moreover: this aspect is between important planets in the chart. Neptune is important because Neptune rises before the Sun (spotlight on ideals, dreams and illusions). Mars is in Pisces (ruled by Neptune).

The combination of Mars and Neptune is being repeated in the transits and progressions of an important moment: when he left home. In fact: all the while, during his odyssey, the transit was valid! In June 1990 Neptune was in the 14th degree of Capricorn. In december 1990 Neptune was in the 14th degree of Capricorn, again. In september 1991 the retrograding Neptune was in that degree.
I've experienced more than once, that aspects in transit or progressions between the same couple as in the natal chart are very important, even if the distance is different. It is a repeating, resonating theme. The transit or progression fits the natal chart, like the glass shoe fitted Cinderella.

MARS+NEPTUNE
Mars-Neptune is perfect for those things that don't require too much energy. Mars-Neptune stimulates fantasy, artistry and ideals. It is good for people who work with those who are weak or ill and have to use drugs or medication. It is a nice trine for sailors, people who live isolated lives or for people working in a bar. This Mars-Neptune is a trine. I wrote about the hard aspects before:

I have seen examples of people working in or with crime (as a lawyer, for example, fighting crime). It seems that trines and squares between Mars and Neptune are almost one of a kind. They can lead you  into trouble.


FEBRUARY 12, 1968
 On February 12, 1968 many more persons were born, like Josh Brolyn (actor), Gregory Charles and Chynna Philips*) (singers). They didn't  go into the wild. I don't know what happened to them, but I know what happened to Chris McCandless when the Mars-Neptune combination reappeared in his chart.  And I know his background. A study of history and anthropology had given him ideas about society. He wanted to leave society and he did, with transit Neptune square progressed Mars. He died after an odyssey with transit Neptune again square Progressed Mars, almost two years later. The period just before he went 'into the wild' was a Neptune-Mars period. In that period he didn't contact his family .

WHEN HE LEFT: T Neptune square P Mars
McCandless was born February 12, 1968 in El Segundo, California and he studied history and anthropology. He left home, after donating all of his money to Oxfam, end of June, 1990. That was with transit Uranus square his Saturn, on a moment of 'breaking free'. See the chart for the other transits and progressions. And see that transit Neptune was square progressed Mars. 
Here are the positions on the day of birth with transits and progressions for when he left. Watch transit Pluto trine natal Sun: he was still strong and healthy then and determined to go.

He was last seen alive on April 28, 2012. He disappeared. And when he wanted to come back, it was too late.

DEATH
This is the chart of the estimated day of death. The situation (he couldn't cross the river and was completely alone) caused his early death.
Even when he died there was a Mars-Neptune issue. On August 20, 1992 (two days after the estimated day of death) Mars was inconjunct Neptune in the 17th degree. On the 17th Mars had been inconjunct Uranus in the 15th degree. His progressed Mars was in the 16th degree. Transit Uranus/Neptune was inconjunct transit Mars and square the progressed Mars of Chris McCandless.

When he died, transit Jupiter was opposition his progressed Sun and transit Neptune sextile. The Jupiter-Neptune combination is the combination of belief and faith. These transits may have comforted him in the lonely wild in his final hours. That is why he wrote:
I HAVE HAD A HAPPY LIFE AND THANK THE LORD. GOODBYE AND MAY GOD BLESS ALL!"
It looks like an act (Mars) of faith (Neptune).

Mars-Neptune isn't the kind of aspect to help you survive in the wild. It is the aspect for the poet, the dreamer, getting lost...  There is nothing romantic about dying alone, sick, thin and cold, starving. But there is something mysterious about his last years and days that inspired artists to make (Mars) a movie (Neptune) about his walk to infinity. If it is one thing that the trine 'achieved', than it is the fact that his story became a legend.

When Jupiter rules (the EC2012)

On this blog you find some 'sad' stories about Jupiter transits that didn't work or only helped a little bit to prevent "worse"... Those were single transits. When Jupiter hits a chart twice or three times in the same period, good luck and improvement have better chances to show up in a person's life. This blog is about personal experiences and ... the upcoming final match between Spain and Italy. But most of all,this blog is about Jupiter. Guilio Romano painted the picture above, the assembly of all gods around Jupiter's throne. Jupiter is the king of the gods in mythology and he wouldn't be king if he wasn't the best, the greatest and the first born (just like the planet).

Right now I have transit Jupiter square my Ascendant, trine my Moon and trine my progressed Mercury and I feel great! My energy level has risen. I could say that it is because of this or that (and there ARE this's and thats that I can't share here but believe me: it was all Jupiter related, like good advice, a trip, new glasses and even perfectly fitting shoes were part of the deal. All those things helped me to feel better than before. I even managed to be number 3 in the company's pool for a while, until yesterday. Yesterday the Italians beated the Germans just like that and I hadn't even thought of looking at the possibility of Italy reaching the semi finals! I had my focus on Germany and Spain! Read the post about the final match between them: Winners and losers in EC2012 football (an experiment). In that post I promised to be back about the subject if the match would be between different teams, and that is the case. The final will be between Italy (very strong against Germany and how they sang the hymn!:) and .... Spain. Will Spain be able to beat Italy? Here is the chart of the final moment. The positions under 'transits' are the natal positions of Prandelli (coach of Italy). Remember, there is no hour of birth, so the position of the Moon might be 7 degrees more or less.

Considering this,  I must stick to Spain like a stamp to a letter, because the Spanish coach has too many Jupiter in the chart right now to feel sad. His opponent however, has (see above) Saturn square the final moment's Ascendant and in a hard aspect with his Venus. That doesn't 'sound' like joy, does it?
The coach of Spain has his Jupiter (symbol of being successful) close to the Ascendant at that final moment. Five minutes before he is already happy. Unless the Italian coach has other reasons to be sad and Del Bosque has other reasons to be happy, it looks like a case of winning (Spain) and losing (Italy).  One swallow doesn't make a summer, but ....Del Bosque also has the progressed Sun conjunct natal Jupiter. That is perfect for retirement with a bonus. And the third important fact: transit Jupiter is square his Progressed Sun and Jupiter. Here is the chart without hour with progressions and transits for Del Bosque:

Of course, this is without time of birth and it is just speculation, but 3x Jupiter, I experienced, feels great. He could be happy with reaching the final, but would he be THIS happy, you may wonder? Also, the transit Sun opposition Del Bosque's Venus makes it a nice day for him. That is indication number four.

Well, we'll see how the ball rolls. If Spain wins, I win the 3rd place in the company's pool and that is not much (40 euro, as it seems) but enough to be glad about. So how is my chart for the final EC2012? MC will be on my Sun and MC. Great chance to see what that means!
If Italy wins the EC2012, I may have to reconsider my experimental astrological method to find the winner in the chart of the final moment by watching what sort of aspects and planets are interacting with the chart of the coaches.

 So it will be a very exciting evening for me! I wish all fans of football a pleasant final!

Sun Saturn and the scapegoat?

Today it is April 4. In 1968 Martin Luther King was murdered on April 4. So I had a look at his chart and than I got interested in the chart of the man who presumably shot him: James Earl Ray. I compared his chart with that of Lee Harvey Oswald. There are serious doubts about the involvement of these men. They both ‘confessed’ to the crime and later said they were not guilty. Now, would it be just coincidence that James Earl Ray and Lee Harvey Oswald not only have 2 forenames (and are supposed to have killed people with also 2 forenames)? More interesting for an astrologer: why do both men have a hard aspect between Sun and Saturn? I am just thinking out loud here...Why o why Sun-Saturn?

James Earl Ray's chart is above. He also has an opposition between Mercury and Neptune. I have seen that before, for example in the - strange - Friedman case (link: http://astropost.blogspot.com/2008/11/capturing-friedmans-update-and-about.html ) and in the chart of a Belgian young man who spent years in jail after a false confession, innocent. Mercury-Neptune and Sun-Saturn were there in the chart of one of the West Memphis suspects: http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/08/suspicious-aspects-re-west-memphis.html And Mercury is opposition Neptune in Amanda Knox’s chart. It is a difficult aspect for truth finding, as it seems.

The family of Martin Luther King wasn’t convinced of the guilt of James Earl Ray when they had contact in 1997.  That was when James Early Ray’s progressed Sun was square Neptune. It didn’t help him much. 

Fact is that James Earl Ray was a thief and a fraud. It was rather easy to believe in his guilt. At a certain point, his faults turned against him. Maybe that is one of the Sun-Saturn themes. It is easy to see them in the charts of dictators who come to the fall.

MORE SUN SATURN

There is also a hard aspect between Sun and Saturn in the chart of other suspects. A Norwegian former soldier is in jail in Africa after having been found guilty of man slaughter and he has a Sun-Saturn conflict in the natal chart, too. The Sun-Saturn affliction doesn’t always turn you into a scapegoat. Sun-Saturn aspects are frequent in the charts of managers, dictators and civil girls who marry a member of the royalty. Dark Astrology mentions a few famous astrologers with a hard Sun-Saturn aspect like there are Nicholas Culpeper (see about his chart here http://astropost.blogspot.com/2011/02/movie-about-nicholas-culpeper.html ), William Lilly and Robert E. Zoller (link here: http://darkstarastrology.com/sun-opposite-saturn/ )

 Saturn is just the symbol of status, ambition, position and responsibility. Afflictions with Saturn make it hard to deal with duty, matters of guilt and debt and the career. Being blamed or being subject to criticism is one of the ways that a Sun-Saturn aspect might resonate in daily life.

Self control (and control over others or being controlled) seems to be the main issue for Sun-Saturn. It is amazing that this aspect turns up in the chart of two suspects who left the world wondering about their guilt or involvement in historical murder cases. But maybe it is not so amazing when you read Sun-Saturn as the spotlights on your mistakes, faults and guilt (either by yourself or by means of judgement by others). The mistake of James Earl Ray was that he was a criminal and a racist, had a gun, was near the scene of the crime and that he said that he did it. And maybe that was all and the name of the real murderer of Martin Luther King remains a ?

Charts (I can't say and write it enough) aren't judges and can't be used for guilt finding...Charts don't make scapegoats, they simply signal an important issue and life developments. When James Earl Ray was arrested, his progressed Sun had changed sign and his life style changed, completely.

This was me thinking about the Sun-Saturn affliction in the charts of J.E. Ray and L.H. Oswald. Please think along with me about this aspect. Your take on it is welcome.

Progressed Sun - what it is and how

I can see that someone is desperately seeking information about how to calculate the progressed Sun on this blog. By the time that I finished this post it will probable be to late for him or her, but maybe it is a good idea to tell some more about the progressed Sun, because I often use the positions in the progressed chart (next: what is a progressed chart....but later...).

HOW TO FIND YOUR PROGRESSED SUNOn this blog there are several examples of the effect of changing sun signs that you can find by clicking on the label 'changing sun sign'. If you don't have the means to calculate a chart, go to Astro.com to find the degree of your Sun. Every sign has 30 degrees. If your Sun was in the 15th degree at birth (that is when you are born around the 7th of the month), it will take the progressed Sun about 15, 45 and 75 years to move into the next sign. When you were born on the 23rd of the month you will be about 30, 60 and 90 when your progressed Sun sign changes.

The progressed Sun is the position of the sun x day after birth for x year after birth. The new position of the sun creates new aspects (distances with a meaning) with Moon and planets in the natal and progressed chart. Those aspects of the progressed Sun create a new situation or state of mind.

If you want to do it by hand (and who wants that?!:) you use the time of birth and an ephemeris. Every (about) 4 minutes later than ephemeris time (noon or midnight) is (about) a day earlier in real time. So if you were born at 1.00 a.m. the notification in the ephemeris for your day of birth is meant for your day of birth minus 15 days. And if you were born at 23h55 you'd better use the position of the next day (in a midnight ephemeris, I mean) and take those positons for you day of birth + one. Are you still around?:) I am beginning to long for a computer program! 


Now what do you do with this new day-month found for Greenwich Time and ephemeris time? This new date enables you to quickly calculate the next aspect by using the aspect table in the ephemeris. For example, when there is an aspect on your day of birth at 2:30, then it takes about 37 days after the new found ephemeris-date or table time to complete that aspect (2.5 x 60 = 150 /4). Computers and machines can help you to find the exact moment. And I am happy with computer calculating programs and the free charts provided on the internet, because I know by experience what it takes to calculate by hand!

Pluto when a child is born

The reason why it is so difficult to foresee events is that we all respond in a different way to change. Take for example the moment when your first child is born. You are supposed to be happy, full of joy, grateful, shed some tears, perhaps…But many fathers and mothers have different kind of feelings. They feel a heavy load of responsibilities, a nervous change in the schedule, stress or incertainty. Such feelings may happen when transits of Saturn, Uranus, Pluto or Neptune pass bye in the period just before or after the birth of the new family member. I have written about Saturn when a baby is born (link), before. I quote:

 ‘On the day that Queen Elizabeth was born, Transit Saturn was conjunct  the Moon of King George VI (see post about his chart) perhaps illustrating that he worried about the event.”

It is the end of Father’s day, so why not post about another possible transit or progression: the one with Pluto.

Recently I read an interview with Bermuda born Heather Nova (9^th July 1967). She said that the birth of her son Sebastian (January 26, 2004) changed her perspective. It was a period of thinking about life and death and life (of her son) after her death. I immediately thought of Pluto (the symbol of transformation, life and death), when I read that. And yes, Transit Pluto was trine her progressed Sun (and Progressed Sun was opposition natal Neptune).

The birth of a baby changes a lot and often causes stress.  In this case, I read that she continued a tour (eight months pregnant) and quickly followed the birth of her son with a new record (see Wikipedia). Because of the fact that the transit was with Progressed Sun, Pluto will not be part of the synastry between her and her son. If it had been a transit of Pluto with natal Sun, the relationship with her son should have been 'colored' by the nature of Pluto at best (encouragement and appreciation are some of the best things that Pluto has to offer).

When Barack Obama's first child was born on July 4 (!) 1998, transit Uranus and Chiron were square his natal Sun, illustrating change and starting a new surprising if not alarming:) period in life; busy days. When his second daughter was born (June 10, 2001) transit Pluto was trine natal Sun. 

Pluto and Uranus make a change...and when children are born, something definitely changes...

Nafissatour Diallo, astrology and DSK

The website African Success published the birth data of Nafissatou Diallo. She is the chamber maid of Sofitel NY who accuses Dominique Strauss Kahn of sexual assault committed on May 4 this year when she wanted to clean his room. What I like about the chart of Diallo is the Moon in Virgo. It is so typical basic astrology for a maid to have the Moon in the efficient, clean and service minded sign of Virgo! The interaction between the astrological positions on the day of birth of Diallo (January 17, 1979) and Strauss-Kahn is amazing, too. Transits, progressions and synastry aspects are resonating natal positions, like Mars-Uranus and Mars-Saturn. There is a correspondence with the case of MJ's doctor. 

SATURN-SUN

Coincidently (?) her Progressed Sun is conjunct the natal Saturn of DSK. In the case of the doctor of Michael Jackson there is also such a synastry. The Progressed Sun of MJ was conjunct the Saturn of the doctor when Michael Jackson died. NATAL SYNASTRY (Mars-Pluto)

The synastry between the chart of DSK and the position on the day of birth of Nafissatou Diallo is interesting. There are at least 6 important interactions:

• Her Jupiter is square his Sun (and that is a matter of trust and/or support)
• Her Sedna (symbol of the daughter in a difficult relationship with the father) is conjunct his Sun
• Her Pluto is opposition his Sun/Moon and that is the symbol of difficulties and challenges in the relationship between them.
• Her Mars is tightly square his and that is for fire (and fighting)
• Her Mars is inconjunct his Uranus (extraordinary excitement and impatience)His Mars is sextile Uranus (in his natal chart). Her Mars is in minor aspect with Uranus (67.5 degrees, sesquisemisquare). The Mars-Uranus inconjunction between them sort of re-mirrors the short fuse. Johann Calvin and his opponent Michael Servetus shared a Mars-Uranus aspect. Servetus (Mars inconjunct Uranus) was killed, Calvin was responsible. They had a controversy...

TRANSITS AND PROGRESSIONS OF DIALLO

1. You see above that her Mars and Pluto are part of the synastry. (her Mars square his Mars and her Pluto in aspect with his Sun/Moon). On the day of the incident transit Pluto was semi square her Mars. 

The combination Mars-Pluto is the combination of the use and abuse of power and violence (or suffering from it).

2. Her progressed Sun changed sign and so did her life and lifestyle...From unknown servant to famous violated woman.

3. Transit Neptune will be conjunct her  Progressed Sun from the weeks after the arrest until in February of 2012. It is the symbol of the press, the media, gossip and being isolated. 

NATAL POSITIONS OF DIALLO

The Sun in Capricorn and Moon in Virgo in combination with Mercury trine Saturn and the woman's position in society (!) is reflecting the importance of duty and serving. 

The Mars-Saturn-Sun combination is reflecting the difficulties with men (and the little jobs in order to stay alive without having a man). It is often not a very pleasant combination and points at working hard and discipline or restrictions. 

SHARING MARS-SATURN

DSK has Mars trine Saturn , the chamber maid has Mars sesquisquare Saturn. The two share a Mars-Saturn aspect that is already difficult in a 'normal' relationship. I quote Astromarkt about sharing aspects like Mars-Saturn:

Mars-Saturn: working hard together as long as possible (like Queen Elisabeth and her late mother), sharing the same frustrations, not much fun (unless there are other indications). This aspect might indicate a lack of shared activities.

Transit Saturn was quindecile his Mars when DSK was stopped at the airport. This transit meant the end of his job, too.

Discipline and strict measures are among the meanings of Mars-Saturn, and so is death (end of all energy). I quote:

Oprah Winfrey's final show

Transit Pluto was on the progressed Moon of Oprah Winfrey, on the day before yesterday, when the final show was made (on television next week). Pluto with Moon intensifies emotions, so I guess that the large amount of hand kerchiefs was needed:). Another sign now is the progressed Sun inconjunct Pallas (symbol of patterns) now that she stops the 25-year range of popular shows on television. Within a few weeks transit Pluto will be on the Sun/Moon midpoint to transform her lifestyle. Of course she decided this a year ago and in the past months there have been many important transits and progressions. When your (progressed) chart met your partner's...

When you met your partner, did your progressed charts connect with each other or with the partner's natal chart? It is often so. When I met my husband, his progressed Saturn*) was exactly conjunct my natal Descendant (and that is how we got stuck together:). Also, my progressed Mars was trine his natal Sun. There is a time for everything, and maybe there is a time for meeting each other, too...

This month March the interaction between two charts will be in the spotlights here. And just like in a love story I start with 'meeting each other'. 

" People meet or get to know each other at the moment that they share the same kind of situation or period in their life. Both partners are at the same time searching for hapiness or are sharing a good or bad moment and that 'connects' them. At least, you would think so when you see their progressed charts! The moment of meeting a person seems to be connected to the moment that your were born. That is what the astrology of meeting is about: to see the right time for loving."

Here is another one about love: the meeting of King Harald of Norway and his wife Sonja.

When King Harald V met his wife Sonja, his progressed Sun was conjunct Saturn, ruler 7. Her progressed Venus was inconjunct his Mars. His progressed Mars was trine his progressed Sun and Saturn and his progressed Venus was square her progressed Sun. A rather complicated picture, but it shows controlled passion and a period of strong love.

Of course, in order to meet somebody, you must be prepared to meet somebody, or you just don't notice the man or woman. And vice versa! It hurts when you fall in love and the other doesn't.  Take for example the first time that Prince Charles and Camilla met and he didn't notice her. Quote:

In June 1971, during a polo match, Camilla and Charles met for the first time. She had progressed Venus conjunct natal Saturn and semi square progressed Uranus. He had no special progressions at all. Her progressed ascendant is at the time of the meeting exactly sesqui square his progressed Jupiter. This all means that she had a bad period for love and was limited in her choices, but that she had met a chance for being happy (Jupiter), too soon (sesquisquare).

Sometimes, people meet without starting a relationship, yet. A semi square with Venus describes a senseless love. Bernadette Brady refers to semi squares as a 'frustrating not'. Sesquisquares with Jupiter however are supposed to bring advantages in a later stade!

Apparently Charles and Camlla had to marry someone else, first. It is not only for the sort of aspectation that love was not answered at the time. Saturn and Uranus together refer to limitations of freedom and independency. Venus with Uranus often points at falling in love. Saturn is the planet of responsibilities, status and 'timing'. Shall we see this as 'untimy falling-in-love'?
